Утром 16 сентября 1999 года возле жилого дома в Волгодонске Ростовской области произошел взрыв. Устройство сработало в грузовом автомобиле ГАЗ-53. Погибли 19 человек, в том числе двое детей. Взрывной волной повредило более 30 домов. Пострадавшими признали более 16 тысяч человек.
