אלן וייסלדר נולד בכלל בקוסטה ריקה, למשפחה יהודית שהשתקעה שם לפני מלחמת העולם השנייה. הוא הגיע ארצה כדי ללמוד בטכניון, התאהב בצברית והתחיל לעבוד בסאייטקס, כשההייטק הישראלי היה עדיין בחיתוליו. בשנת 1997 הוא הקים את ניו צ׳אנל, גייס כסף מאחת הקרנות הראשונות שהיו פעילות בארץ ולבסוף מכר את החברה ללייבפרסון. אחרי שנים שבהם שימש כמנכ״ל ובכיר בכמה חברות, הוא עבר לעולם ההשקעות ובשנים האחרונות הוא השותף בישראל של קרן בשם ליפ וונצ׳רס, שמביאה לישראל כסף וקשרים עם אמריקה הלטינית. שיחה עם פרספקטיבה על ההייטק הישראלי, על היציאה משנתיים קשות, ועל למה אמריקה הלטינית היא מקום ששווה לעשות בו עסקים.
