每個人都有種種與人與物說再見的離別經驗，它們或者沉重、或者幽微、或者尷尬、或者好笑，有些未完成、有些錯愕來不及、有些則千言萬語一言難盡，都需要我們用漫長的時間來反覆咀嚼消化。而電子遊戲或許意外地是一種很好的表達工具，能幫我們備份、整理這些或如亂絮、或如珠玉的離別經驗。
台灣獨立遊戲工作室「慢走遊戲」的製作人阿澔，在美國紐約大學蒂施藝術學院（NYU Tisch School of the Arts）遊戲設計系攻讀碩士的期間，以自己與友人的生命經驗為出發點，發想了11個以「再見」為主題的「微遊戲」（microgames），並於今年集結成《再見的備份》。這11款敘事型的遊戲如同一場展覽，以11種簡單卻又特別的遊戲機制作為說故事的語言，設計重現了各種「說再見」的時刻裡那令人揪心的本質。
