Speaker 2 (03:45):
I just found out one of the people I.

Speaker 9 (03:46):
Do jiu jitsu with is fighting really, which is interesting
because I've known people to fight before, right, I've had
friends that fight. I know Jimmy Flickwell, who's fighting in
Kansas City this weekend, Josh Brian. Of course, plenty of
people I have known, but somebody who I have been

(04:07):
like training with fighting that's never happened. So that's interesting
to see how that's gonna play out.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
Does this person use you as a practice dummy for
lack of better terms, Uh, it's a she and has
she whipped my ass?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (04:20):
Yeah, cool, Yeah, I've whipped her ass to.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Let you no.

Speaker 9 (04:29):
She's her and her husband are they're both first responders.
He's a high patrolman, she's a firefighter, and uh yeah,
they're both tough people.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
So that's cool. He uh, he's so tough.

Speaker 9 (04:43):
He used to ride bulls and then he's a high
patrolman and he was training so hard he trained and
injured himself where he got sick and had to go
to the hospital and like like it was bad, like
it was serious, Like he's such an intense trainer. But yeah,
so that's pretty cool to see that that happened. And
so we'll see that. Them'll see her fight on Saturday.

(05:07):

every hour. It's brought to by Yinglan Flight in ninety
seven to five kmod. Do you see Okay, So Santana's
supposed to be here on Saturday, Yeah, I think it is.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Did you see he got rushed to the hospital.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, for the Hydrien show. Yeah hmm. Is that like
you go to rehab for exhaustion when you're really just
tired because you've been doing too much cocaine.

Speaker 9 (05:55):
I mean, I guess it's possible that, you know, seventy
seven year old man can get dehydrated, for sure, but
I would think he's got people around him that are like,
you need to have some electrolytes, right right, right right.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
We have got your.

Speaker 9 (06:12):
Seventy seven, so we've got to have you on this
pretty strict regiment. No more eating pizza every night, right, you.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Gotta gotta beat your three squares and get your muslex
and like, right, right, first thing I thought of when
I read that was he drank too much because the
alcohol drives you out, gets you dehydrated, you know, And
if that's a bad habit for him, I could see
how it finally caught up to him and he's like,

(06:39):
we gotta get you the hospital, bro.

Speaker 8 (06:40):
Or he could just be playing and sweating it all
out of him and just.

Speaker 9 (06:44):
Can't making seventy seven to This is not his first tour.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Right, he'd been doing it for decades.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
And I don't know, and he's like, he, I think
he stayed in the hospital for observations and I don't
know if they do that for dehydration. They put you
on an ivy bag and they send you home, well,
because you're taking a bed.

Speaker 8 (07:06):
He could have been he could have had the flu
or getting over the flu.

Speaker 9 (07:10):
You would say that, you would say that, You wouldn't
just say he's dehydrated, right.

Speaker 8 (07:16):
But they're treating him for dehydration.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Like because of the I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
Added onto the story.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yes, and don't you think like, if he had the flu,
we would have heard other shows get canceled. I mean,
I guess, yeah, possibly, yeah, he.

Speaker 8 (07:31):
Had his flu shot. You don't want to be symptoms
weren't as bad.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
You don't want a seventy seven year old going.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
Like my son had the flu once, did not have
the flu symptoms. All he was was dehydrated. And it
wasn't until he dehydrated by because of the flu. No,
like a doctor was like, he's dehydrated. He went to
the hospital and then he went to school and he
was very lethargic at school, and all of a sudden,

(08:02):
I get a call saying he's like falling asleep at
his desk. He gets home, I put him in bed,
he wakes up, he can't walk. That was his symptom.
I call the pediatrician and they said take him to
the emergency room. They did a flu test and he
tested positive for the flu. And they said if I
hadn't taken him to the emergency room, his kidneys would

(08:24):
have shut down because he was so dehydrated. That's why
he wasn't walking. He literally would try to stand up
and he would fall over. It was like bamby trying
to learn how to walk. It was the craziest thing
I'd ever seen in my life.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
But he tests positive for the flu, so yeah.

Speaker 8 (08:38):
But he's a child. Yeah, he was like eight years
old at the time.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah, but he's eight.

Speaker 9 (08:47):
This is a seventy seven year old man with a
crew of people around him to insure his safety.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Yeah, but yeah, blah, yeah, blah. He's the man of
the band and I and see how there would be
yes men around him. You know, whatever he says, goes,
don't bother me. Even if he's drinking too much, you know,
alcohol or whatever, or hasn't had enough PDA light, doesn't
have a great there's going to be a lot of
people like what was he's the man, sure, he says,

(09:14):
goes on undred percent.

Speaker 9 (09:15):
The tour manager, whose sole responsibility is to keep the
tour moving right, doesn't have to be a yes man, right,
He's like, they don't get to have power over the person, right,
but there's still their job is to keep the tour
going right. And you would think that that person, the
tour manager, be like, hey, dial it back a little bit,
maybe drink some water, whatever the case is. If you're sick,

(09:37):
you know, get some rest, drink plenty of orange juice drink,
eat some chicken noodle soup.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
But not everybody does that.

Speaker 9 (09:43):
And and he could have somebody with ivy bags show
up and just give him some iv s. So key
right there, you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, this
feels a little suss compared to other things.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
If they could do it for Rando strangers at Rocklahoma,
they could do it for Carlos Santana.

Speaker 9 (09:58):
Definitely easily, right, Like, if you know this is his regiment,
then you're like, hey, man, we're gonna need some some
hydro bags, right with some B twelve some electrolytes at
every stop. And then when he gets up at two
or whatever, you have him sit down, stick him with
a needle, get a couple of bags in him, and

(10:21):
then that's that.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
You're going to go have fun.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (10:24):
Like, as the tour manager, your job is to ensure
the tour moves, and if that's his thing, then you're like,
this is what you need to keep you moving to
do the next stop.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Man, Right, it's possible that he could not be a
good tour manager.

Speaker 11 (10:38):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
That show, that's here sold out?

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah, yeah, I mean that's a big deal.

Speaker 9 (10:44):
Of course it is Brett Michaels, who's there tomorrow night,
not sold out?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Right, this is you got to see the final one?

Speaker 9 (10:53):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't feel like Carlos Stana's
near the end. No, But to be honest, when you know,
every time I've seen a video of him for as
long as I can remember, I'm like, how old is he?

Speaker 8 (11:05):
Yeah? I was aro when you said seventy seven. I
was like, he seems like he would be older than that.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
He looks seventy seven and nineteen ninety nine and he
did smooth. Yes, you're right, said I remember seeing Smooth
and being like, how old is he?

Speaker 9 (11:21):
I didn't know he's married to City Blackman. She's like
a famous drummer.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Oh that's cool. How about that though?

Speaker 9 (11:27):
Huh, Yeah, I didn't know he was married. Uh twice
Shannon Sharp? Did you see the video of him sounding
not like? Shannon Sharp apologized, not apologizing, saying that the claims.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Weren't accurate and that he's going to go after.

Speaker 9 (11:41):
This person and this person's a you know, a SWARMI
attorney or whatever, and uh, and then they released some
text messages between this alleged person and Shannon Sharp, and
I'm gonna gladly read them to you. I'm going to
sense of them the best that I can. It says,

(12:05):
but I cried when you left because I begged you
to put a condom on and not to put it,
and you didn't listen.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
I don't care what our history is. No means no
another text message, it looks like.

Speaker 9 (12:21):
Right after that said I don't know how to process this,
and then he replied, can I call you later and
you can put.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Anything in the text message?

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Right?

Speaker 9 (12:31):
I think we all agree with that. But this is
a fifty six year old man successful not he's good
at his job. I don't want to say this feels
like not intelligent what he's doing, But he's successful at
his job. He knows what he's doing at his job. Right,
messing with a nineteen year old only fans. I ain't

(12:53):
shunning for being with a younger person, right, And I'm
not saying this person's making it up.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I have no idea.

Speaker 9 (13:00):
But when you I think when you start meddling in
like places like that, you could be you could.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Fratenize with people that aren't.

Speaker 9 (13:14):
Up to good right, Okay, messy it gets that's the
best way exactly.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
It's it can get messy real fast.

Speaker 9 (13:22):
This person, nineteen year old just starting their only Fans career, right,
gladly will hook up with Shannon Sharp.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Right, that's a big name to have the.

Speaker 9 (13:33):
Yeah, or just be seen with, because all you got
to do is see somebody with a celebrity and then
you google who they are and they're like, oh, they
got an only Fans You might get some subscribers out
of that. And I'm not saying that's what this person's
motivation was. I'm just saying, when you, as a fifty
six year old professional who has a lot of money,
has no reason to jeopardize his career meddles with people

(13:57):
that can be messy, think about it.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
At the time. You know the pe got in the
way and blocked all that common sense out.

Speaker 9 (14:07):
Oh he pursued or she pursued right, like slid into
his DMS or vice versa.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I doubt they were.

Speaker 9 (14:14):
At the same party, right, And then he didn't just
he just was like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Of course, nineteen year old wants some of the sure
want to but you're again, you're Shannon Sharp. Successful easily recognizable.
You pretty much can get any single person you want. Absolutely. However,
the nineteen year old vagina presents itself and you are
like that gets about everything.

Speaker 9 (14:38):
Yeah, that just speaks to your character, like you don't
have the wherewithal to be like, I have to protect
my career. I know what the word enough means. It's
like going, I don't need none of that smoke. Well,
sure that's awesome, but I'm good. It's kind of like,
I don't know. I can't speak for everybody, but if
I have a pile of cocaine in front of me,
I look at it. I'm like, I'm sure that's fun,

(15:00):
but I got no time for that. I don't need
that smoke, right, yeah, a little. I'm letting that hang.
Just give you guys a chance to chime in.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
But that's fine. I need a chime man.

Speaker 9 (15:13):
Yeah, some people want that smoke. It ain't worth the meddling.
In my opinion, it's not.

Speaker 8 (15:20):
And he also probably felt a little bit of untouchable.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Probably that's kind of how I feel about the situation
with this. Yeah, he could do whatever. Just based on
that text message that you just read. That's what tells
me that he feels he's untouchable, can do whatever the
hell he wants to.

Speaker 9 (15:38):
And the fact that he's responding with this message saying
I'll come after you, I'll do all the and you're like, ah,
that's fine, man, I understand that's the life we live
right now. Is that people think they can just be
brash and bombastic. Yeah, but I don't know if courts
love that.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
No, I don't think they do, not at all.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
But I'm excited to see it play out.

Speaker 8 (16:01):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Sure.

Speaker 9 (16:02):
I will definitely watch it from the sidelines, because here's
the thing.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
The only fans. Model's got nothing to lose.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
No, No, she's just starting out as she might, as
you said, gain some subscribers from this.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
She absolutely is already, absolutely is already.

Speaker 8 (16:19):
Her fifteen minutes is turning it into twenty.

Speaker 9 (16:22):
Well, and maybe she's a clout chaser. Also, maybe she's
not regardless. If she said no and he had he
had sex with her the way she didn't want, that's
on him, yes, And that it's in a text message
and he's suing her, gonna sue her for defamation. Now
he has to prove he didn't, right, and it's a

(16:43):
civil case, which the burden of proof is really low.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Wild story to see.

Speaker 9 (16:49):
I did not have Shannon Sharp getting sued on my
being a guard diary this year.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
But this has been a bit crazy. Vie here all right,
we got to take a break.

Speaker 9 (16:56):
We got tickets to Link of Park We're gonna give
away that will include VIP tickets for smoke and Guns.
That's happening Monday. That's happening Saturday at the Bok Center.
Get your tickets for either one of those at Bokcenter
dot com and more. Qualifying for cm AL twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Nine four five.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Time for news quikies.

Speaker 9 (17:43):
These are stories you may have missed to the news,
but we cover them here and put a link on
our Facebook page.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
It's time for news quakies.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
World news, local news and news that just makes.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
You say, what the Here's Corbyn, Gimbi and Lindsay with
what's going on News quakies from The Big Man Morning Show.
A nine.

Speaker 8 (18:02):
Woman pulls sword on officer, steals cruiser before fleeing state.
This happened down in Evansville, Indiana, where thirty one year
old Nina de Velles she was confronted by officers at
her home where she was actually facing an attempted murder case.

(18:24):
She was out on bond at the time of this incident.
An officer had stopped at her house and she was like, no,
I'm fine whatever, pulls a sword on the guy, runs
out of her house and hops into his police cruiser
and drives off, but not before saying have a nice

(18:47):
day and drives off, so he shoots the window and
he calls for backup. Officers then find her driving around
town and she takes them on a thirty mile police chase,
crossing three counties and state lines. Finally, a Rockport City

(19:11):
police officer observes her vehicle on two thirty one. He
initiates a traffic stop, but unfortunately, she wasn't stopping. She
makes it into Kentucky, drives and crashes into a field.
She gets out of the vehicle, She's tased, detained, and arrested. Yeah. Crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
The video's wild.

Speaker 9 (19:39):
By the way, Evansville and Kentucky are right there on
the board, So it's not like it's not like she
drove to Saint Louis from here, right.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Even though she did technically cross state lines, it's not
like it was over.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (19:49):
It's also not a nineteen sixties movie, so it means
nothing to cross the state line. The video's wild because
we always talk about like, well, what's a sword, like
how big is No, it looks like it was made
of valarium steel, like it's a she unshot and she's
wearing a helmet, which is hilarious, But she unsh like
she's got it and she's trying to swing it around,

(20:12):
And why the officers don't shoot her with their gun
is beyond comprehension to me, because I feel like I've
seen other scenarios I'll just say, with men and they
get shot, yeah, or.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Maybe that's why they didn't do it. She's a lady.

Speaker 9 (20:28):
They're being right, Yeah, And he's trying to like maybe
he didn't know how to run his gun, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
And he's trying to reload a taser.

Speaker 9 (20:36):
I don't know why he just don't and shooting the window,
shoot the tires.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Yeah, right, maybe he was actually trying to shoot her
that time. That's why he shot the window. I mean,
if she's in the driver's seat driving off, that makes sense.
I guess. I get.

Speaker 9 (20:52):
There's some questionable behavior happening from everybody in the video's
wild though, And at one point she runs and she's
one of those runners that isn't She runs really awkwardly.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Yeah, that's fun. Brothers busted for child porn and sex
with a cow.

Speaker 8 (21:09):
She damn it.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
I'm sure she was nice.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
He got a great personality.

Speaker 9 (21:14):
Yes, she's gained some weight in some time, but she's
still got a great personality.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
She's working on our sale. This comes out of New York,
New York State, not New York City, where police were
initially investigating a thirty seven year old dude named Christopher
Banks because they found out that he had gotten some
kittie porn transmitted online. Right, he was in possession of

(21:38):
child porn transmitted online, That's what they say. So they
go to the apartment that he shares with his thirty
eight year old brother Mark, and while they're digging around,
they're getting all kinds of electronic devices, right, just getting
as much evidence as they can. So they start digging
through these electronic devices, and of course they find the
kitty porn that Chris had. But they all so found

(22:00):
some videos of his brother Mark having sex with animals,
particularly a dairy cow, on the property of Windsor Acres Farms,
where Mark had worked for twenty two years. They went
ahead and took him in for that. Mark gave the
police a handwritten statement. He says, the state police found

(22:23):
some videos on my device today involving sex with animals.
He went on to say, when I was younger, I
had sex with a cow. Now God, after he.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Discribed I had sex with a cow.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
He went on. After describing the act, he says, I
and I'm cleaning this up. Did not quite finish, but
I did it because of a sexual urge. It didn't
work the first time, so I shifted the bucket and
tried again. He says. The button the bucket he.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Was standing on it.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yeah, in the right position, I guess, So let's just
move this bucket over a little bit, so the right
All right, Okay, there we go. He says that it
didn't happen again after that. Sure it didn't, Mark, Sure
it didn't. Anyhow, they went ahead and took both of them. Men.
Mark the cow humper is looking at a Class A misdemeanor. Meanwhile,

(23:21):
his brother, Chris, the child lover, possession of child porn.
You know, person, he got a felony.

Speaker 8 (23:31):
What's worse?

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Sucks with kids? Of course, what is this person high? Like?
Was this person on drugs? The cow humper?

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Maybe possibly why you would write this down, I have
no idea. Maybe he felt guilty and just wanted to
get it all out. He's like, finally, think church, I've
been caught here on time trying. I'm going to confess everything.

Speaker 9 (24:04):
And the officer, you know, hey, we got him on
the child thing, but I think we may have something else.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
It's exactly what it was. It was a ricochet charge,
is so what they described it in the article that
you know. They're they're looking at looking and and his
brother Chris, and found that video of Mark and they're like, Okay,
we're gonna take both of these weirdos in.

Speaker 9 (24:26):
What do you think the penalty in the state of
New York is for banging a cow banging a effert?

Speaker 1 (24:33):
It's not that much. It's I think it's like a year.

Speaker 9 (24:35):
In a pokey, a slap on the wrist pretty much
up to one thousand dollars fine, up to a year
in jail.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
So probably not.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Either, go ahead, bang all the cows you want. You
won't get in much trouble.

Speaker 8 (24:46):
We're going to eat them anyway, not as much.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
As Oh God, that's why it's so salty.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
And the other part that's crazy.

Speaker 9 (24:53):
The other part that's crazy is the idea that that
got more attention than the child porn.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Right, probably because it was more bizarre. You're like a
child porn. Yeah that's pretty common, you know, But I
feel like I'm reading more and more stories of people
having sex with farm animals. Then I should your fyps
just you know, doing what it's due. I don't get it.
Man who looks at a EF for instance, I hit that.

Speaker 9 (25:20):
Yeah, I don't have an ends Again, it's against It
feels weird to you because you wouldn't do it. Is
typically the way that mindset works.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Right.

Speaker 9 (25:29):
Man arrested for shooting flare gun inside Walmart. I don't
know what it is about Walmart. Slately, there was a
story a couple of weeks ago about some men riding
a horse, some horses into a Walmart.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (25:39):
Police in East Texas have arrested a man they say
accidentally shot off a flare gun inside the local Walmart
while trying to shoplift. Listen, I have shoplifted in my time.
Drawing attention to yourself typically was not something we tried
to do.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
No, No.

Speaker 9 (25:57):
It happened Saturday when police got a nine one call,
nine call about a man trying to hide items while
holding a gun. Just before police arrived at the scene,
the flare gun was discharged. Police say Roy Biggs tracks
then put the flaregun on a shelf and headed to
the exit. He was booked in the jail in charges
of deadly conduct and theft of property.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
So was he trying to steal the flare gun and
it went off, or he was just playing around with
it while he was stealing things and it went on.
That's unclear. Now.

Speaker 9 (26:29):
I've never bought a flare gun. I don't own a
flare gun. I would imagine they're packaged, or at least
the flares are sold separately and you would have to
load it, right.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
I think at the Walmart, I've seen him before, and
they are packaged, and I think you get at least
one in the chamber, not in the chamber, but you
would have to load it.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
So he would have to load it.

Speaker 9 (26:50):
And there are always a color to clearly designate it
is not a firearm with right right usually.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Bright orange and kind of look like a gun, but
not really more like maybe a snub nose thirty eight
at yes, but you know.

Speaker 9 (27:02):
Ah yeah, so if you were going to use it
to like intimidate, I don't know, if someone would put
a flare gun on me, I'd be like, okay.

Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, that's hot fire coming towards your face. Not a
bullet though true statement true, would still cause some damage,
severe burns.

Speaker 9 (27:21):
Like like like a Roman candle, worse than that.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 9 (27:26):
I don't know how a flare gun works. I've seen
in movies where they it shoots in the penetrate skin, right.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
I don't know if it would penetrate, but it would
definitely stick and burn because it's so hot that it
would instantly stick to your skin.

Speaker 9 (27:38):
And if I'm wearing a puffy jacket or a wolf
sweater like well, like I don't wear a lot of
cable nip, but like I hear you, like, if it
would it bounce off, like you know, when you had
BB gun fights when your kid. Maybe it's just me.
We always wore the most clothes as possible.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Of course, you don't want to get hurt, so I
don't know.

Speaker 9 (27:55):
Again, I don't know how a flare that does propel
the propulsion behind it's pretty intense.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
And there is fire involved.

Speaker 9 (28:02):
So that's a light flame like a Roman candle. You
ever been in Roman candle wars?

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Absolutely, but I think this is a Roman candle war
times at least a thousand.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I think the propulsion is more of the concern than
the flame.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, because you know, you got to get that thing
high enough up in the air so people know where
you're at right to save you. Yeah, not so much
with a Roman candle.

Speaker 9 (28:20):

indiana and my aunt is also here From, florida and
they're here until the. Weekend AND i feel, like as

(32:41):
much as you, know they're here to see me and
the kids And, kevin it almost feels like they would
rather just be at the casino the whole, time because
they've been there three times. ALREADY i, KNOW i. Know
IF i do have an, inheritance it's sitting in the
one of the slot machines At river right. Now but,

(33:02):
NO i was trying to come up with different ideas for,
them things for them to, do Because i'm sure they're
having a blast, there but come, on there's other things
that we can do. Here and SO i was thrilled
when my twins came home from school and, Said, hey
our artwork from elementary school is going to be in
the high school art fair at THE umac and it's

(33:24):
being showcased this. Week and SO i, said this is
awesome because my mom was an art major At purdue
and so you love art. Shows let's. Go so we
went last night at THE umac and holy, HELL i
cannot believe the talent that we saw last, night FROM

(33:46):
i mean from elementary school to seniors in high. School
on display there were all by just. Freehand what people can?
Do look at This Robin williams freehand.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
AND i, mean it's really come a long way since
when we did.

Speaker 8 (34:04):
Art no, kidding, YEAH i mean my my one of
the twins had a paper machede ice cream cone in
the on display and this was, Awesome but some of
this high school work is just. Unbelievable i'm, LIKE i
would pay, money big bucks for. That so we had
a great. Time and look At. Elvis, YEAH i mean very.

(34:26):
Good so if you've got a student at in high
school art class At, union, congratulations they have some really
major talent over.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
THERE i took art for four years freshman all the
way through. Senior sucked at every last one of. Them,
YEAH i didn't no good at any of them of.

Speaker 9 (34:47):
THEM i also took art every year AND i painted
this really Good Michael jordan flying through the air and
he has two extra.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Fingers Sell, ai that did that for? You, no it
wasn't around back.

Speaker 8 (35:01):
Then was his tongue sticking out as he was flying
through the?

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Air that felt? Complicated apparently it was hands uh.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
Huh.

Speaker 8 (35:07):
YEAH i always had, art AND i felt like ALL
i was surrounded by was kids that were eating glue
and the paste past did you eat playto?

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Too?

Speaker 8 (35:18):
No so we get home last night and it was
beautiful evening and we're sitting around and reminiscing and talking
to my. Kids because when we were, young we hung
out at my grandma's. House she had a, pool and
every weekend we were there and we would have big
family meals and if we weren't cooking or grilling. Out

(35:41):
we were ordering Either chinese food or we would stap AT.
Kfc and but there was a staple during the summers
at my grandmother's house and it was called Missus bee's.
Slush AND i have never made it as an, adult
but growing up it was always, there AND i remember
thinking to, MYSELF i can't wait Till i'm old enough

(36:03):
to drink Missus bee's slush because all the adults would
always have this. Drink kids couldn't have it because of
course there was, alcohol and my grandmother would always make
sure that the kids had popsicles because the adults who
were drinking their, slushies she wanted to make sure that
we had a nice frozen treat as, well so we

(36:25):
had popsicles AND i just remembered Missus bee's. Slush i've
never made it as an, adult and we were talking
about it last night and my mom, said have you
ever made? It AND i, said, NO i. HAVEN'T i
don't have the recipe or. Anything and my mom, said,
well lucky for, YOU i do have. It so we
went and we bought this stuff last night and we

(36:46):
made it And i'm sharing it with you guys today
because it is delicious and it's perfect for summer or
as the weather is getting. WARMER i know of the
Drinks i'm sharing the.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
LOVE i need to drink to do the. SHOW i
know What i'll.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Do i'll make it one of my.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Segments i'm okay with.

Speaker 11 (37:08):
It so this was.

Speaker 8 (37:11):
At every, party every like summer weekend by the. POOL i,
mean this is like the most refreshing and, fruity just.
Perfections it is perfection in a. Cup and it's a frozen,
drink Missus bee's, slush it's called and it is made

(37:32):
with eight ounces of, vodka eight ounces of apricot, brandy
six ounces of frozen lemonade or frozen lime made which
is WHAT i used as. Limemade BECAUSE i.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Love that you looked at him like that makes it, better,
RIGHT i can handle limes a little more THAN i.
Can limes don't make me want to punch a baby
as much as lemons. Do you, Know Like i'll have
a gin and tonic every now and again again with
a with a slice of lime in, there you, know
or you know tequila. Shoans usually they're, naked but it's
like all, right.

Speaker 8 (38:08):
Twelve ounces of frozen orange juice and a half of
a two liter bottle of seven up and you add
in about Twelve marischino, Cherries.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Jesus crime and there's a lot of sugar in. This
what's it called, Again Missus bee's? Slide who Is MISSUS
b to?

Speaker 8 (38:32):
You so funny? Enough WHEN i was a, KID i
always thought that this drink came from my mother's side
of the, family because that's where we always had this drink.
At but WHEN i was really, little we used to
go to a thing that we used to call it
was a clam, bake and it was one week out

(38:56):
of the, summer and we would go with my dad's
side of the. Family and there was a woman her
name Was MISSUS B and it was actually her her
drink that my mom had gotten the recipe and brought
it and introduced it to her.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Side and who is she to the.

Speaker 8 (39:12):
Family she was a family friend of my dad's, side
so she was just happened to.

Speaker 9 (39:17):
Be no relation whatsoever she famous drink and it would
be at your grandparents.

Speaker 8 (39:22):
House, no it was at this clam bake that we
would go to my dad's side of the.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Family i'm, SORRY i thought you started the story with
you it would be At, yeah well it was so,
yeah you, Know dad apparently went to the clam, bake you,
know got hooked on the sauce and then brought the recipe.

Speaker 9 (39:39):
Home so there's, vodka, brandy apricot, brandy, right and a
frozen limemade or, lemonade.

Speaker 8 (39:49):
And frozen orange juice.

Speaker 9 (39:50):
And frozen what's deluding the frozen concentrat seven?

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Up the seven?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Up, yeah and that's a full two leader half.

Speaker 8 (39:58):
Of, one half of. One now if you we made
this last, night so AND i put it in the
deep freeze so it would freeze even. More but if
it freezes too, much then you you can pour seven
up over it to help get it more. Slushy but
this is pretty Slush.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Pour more vodka in there to get it more, SLUSHY i.

Speaker 9 (40:17):
WOULD i would think with the amount of vodka and
brandy in, it you don't have to worry about a
freezing too, much, right, right it would stay consistent with
its uh with it's with the.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Slushiness, yeah well it.

Speaker 11 (40:28):
Is it.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Is it smells like alcohol straight.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Up.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Yeah how's that slotted spoon? Working getting?

Speaker 1 (40:37):
Everything, Yeah i'd say that's like eating cereal with the fork.

Speaker 8 (40:44):
Well when it's too, frozen it's not.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
You, know sure it.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Works you have a fork or spoon or SOMETHING i.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
Do oh, great you're. Welcome would you LIKE i don't need?

Speaker 8 (40:55):
SPOONS i didn't think.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
So, okay, ahead, okay bottoms up a big.

Speaker 8 (41:06):
Brunch, no, no, no? No is it too sweet for?

Speaker 1 (41:13):
You that is?

Speaker 2 (41:14):
Tart is that tastes like an orange sweet?

Speaker 1 (41:18):
Tart?

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Yeah that's too much for. Me there's too much going on.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
THERE i think it's.

Speaker 9 (41:22):
Delicious, yeah there's so much sugar in it lends like,
SURE i don't even.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Know to.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
Me that's it's got this weird like sugar. Pound and
then it's got this alcohol like every clear alcohol taste
bite on.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
It, OKAY i got a lot of little lime. Aide
and maybe that's just because you, Know i'm not big on.
Sour that's why it's sticking.

Speaker 8 (41:47):
Out, yeah the apricot brandy stands out to.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Me, yeah the brandy and vodka.

Speaker 1 (41:52):
Potent.

Speaker 8 (41:53):
Yeah, well it's probably because my mom made.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
IT i don't know what that.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
Means she likes it.

Speaker 1 (41:59):
Strong MoMA's got a heavy.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
Hand, YEAH i ain't hating on the heavy.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Hand it's just.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
There's nothing wrong with.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
It it's just not my. Taste, YEAH i could see
it as a good summertime, treat but only like, one,
yeah maybe. Two anything after that you're asking for a
hell of a hangover the next.

Speaker 8 (42:17):
Day and you can always dilute it more with seven
up onto.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
The still a bunch of, sugar that's what, yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:24):
Keep selling girls, there, right this is one of My
this is. Heaven this makes you?

Speaker 1 (42:30):
Happy, YES i love.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
This is it the memory that makes you?

Speaker 1 (42:33):
Happy or do you think this is a quality? Beverage
it could be the.

Speaker 8 (42:36):
Memory it could be the. Memory AND i remember my
cousins AND i because my grandmother had a deep freezer
in her basement that she would store it in and
we would sneak down and take a spoonful yeah and
giggle and, yeah and couldn't wait to be twenty one to.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
Partake how old were you when you would still pulls
off of?

Speaker 8 (42:56):
It twelve thirteen years?

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Old that sounds about.

Speaker 9 (42:59):
Right but like that age and that much, Alcohol oh,
yeah you were having a good. Night you're not taking
a sip of?

Speaker 1 (43:06):
Beer? Yeah, No.

Speaker 8 (43:08):
AND i mean they would have even bigger bulls than.
THIS i, mean this is this is pretty decent size
but there was like at least six of.

Speaker 9 (43:17):
Them when you make, It, yeah does the frozen concentrate
create the slushiness so you can have it immediately or
do you have to put in the freezer and wait
for it to slush?

Speaker 8 (43:26):
Up you can have it, immediately but, yeah it's best
to wait for it to freeze a little bit more
because it. DOES i mean it.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
Does it is pretty.

Speaker 8 (43:33):
Slushy at, first.

Speaker 9 (43:34):
My parents would make drinks in the, summer but that
was always like gin rickey's what's.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
That i've never heard of a. Ginky it's gin and.
UHRICKY i don't.

Speaker 9 (43:45):
KNOW i don't know what the mix, is BUT i
know it had powdered sugar in. It oh, yeah, YEAH
i don't remember what the mix was with, it but
that would be the. Thing or they would do screwdrivers or, yeah,
yeah but that's Not my simple drinking is, beer right?

Speaker 1 (44:03):
Right, no that's these.

Speaker 9 (44:05):
ARE i don't have a summer. DRINK i only have
in the SUMMER i drink Those. Vodkatonics but NOW i have.
Evolved but like, that that is all the time drinks
right right? Right nothing not just particular you have this
during the summer. Time and not deer in the winter.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
TIME i wonder what other flavors you could do with
us besides this crap orange and cranberry and apricaberry like a,
strap maybe a. Cherry they have cherry, vodka AND i
don't think have like concentrated cherry like.

Speaker 9 (44:32):
JUICE i gotta be. Honest you could put anything in.
It it doesn't the the orange, juice the lemonade and
orng juice or lime made are not the magic.

Speaker 1 (44:41):
There you could use.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Pineapple, no it's the liquor that.

Speaker 9 (44:44):
Goes, yeah the product consistency you would get regardless because
it would. Freeze but to me it reminds me of
Orange srbet ice cream and seven up that Are hawaiian
punch Orange sherbert okay and seven like that was a
mixed party thing and sometimes you would get vodka in.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
It, yeah, yeah that reminds me of.

Speaker 8 (45:06):
That. Yeah THE i looked up the Gin. Ricky this sounds.
Delicious two ounces of, gin half ounce of lime, juice
freshly squeezed club soda the top and garnish with lime.

Speaker 9 (45:17):
Wheels, yeah maybe it was something, else but it had powdered.
SHO i know they put put powdered sugar in. It
maybe it was just sweeten it.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Out, yeah, yeah that seems really weird to put powdered
sugar in a in a mixer like, it but to sweeten.

Speaker 8 (45:28):
IT i think that was probably.

Speaker 9 (45:31):
Common the depth of my cocktail making would BE i
might do A, cosmopolitan, okay maybe a Car, heelio which
is a rum with some espresso, okay and Then vodkatonics
Are gin And. Tonics like that's about the depth of, it,

(45:52):
Right i'm not going into a bunch of.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Work jim And tonic Or gim And Red, bull Not
jim And. Coke, Right i've laid off the Coke Coca cola. Anyway,

chain that Operates the store has locations in six. States
an investigation initially detailed the buying efforts behind the twenty
twenty three, jackpot but it was the second one that
grabbed the attention of. Lawmakers the governor ordered the state's

(01:28:56):
Elite Texas, rangers not the Ball, team law enforcement agency
to open the investigation and The attorney generals doing a
probe into. It the governor expects The Texas Lottery commission
to work within the bounds of the law and ensure
the trust and integrity of the law, lottery regardless of
who leads the. Agency the legislature has held public hearings

Of Texas Lottery couriers accused the leader of the lottery

(01:29:57):
of pushing the agency to inaccurately an unfairly allow courier
companies to become the scapegoat for its own questionable, activities
not us. Them the group insisted its members played no
role in the jackpot. Scheme state lawmakers are approaching the
final month of their session and have threatened action not.

(01:30:18):

VOTE i, Mean i'm just reading that it went out
of all the money they, collected two billion went to
the school, system which then somebody's got to pick up
that into the. Hose state law Allows texas jackpots to
be claimed, anonymously and The april twenty Third april twenty
twenty three jackpot was collected two months later in the

(01:31:09):
form of a one time payment of fifty seven point
eight million dollars company million dollars to a company Called Rooke.
Texas the payment for The february, jackpot, however is on
hold pending the. Investigation an attorney for a woman who
claims to hold the winning ticket has said it was
legally purchased among a group of ten she brought through the.
Courier can you imagine you're in a group like that

(01:31:35):
and you win and then they're, like hold on about.

should expect your, money right, right?

Right that's kind of like at the casinos they say right,
there if the machine, malfunctions avoids you, know any winnings or,
whatever and you, know we don't know if it actually,
malfunctions that you can just come home and be, like, ah,
sorry it says you won the, jackpot but. Malfunction, Sorry,

Speaker 9 (01:38:18):
Money this, TIME i believe IT'S i don't know if
it's the same. THING i didn't see anything associated with.
IT i just saw them doing it and then challenging
and you know, people and then dumping ice water water on,
them and so it sent me down a rabbit hole
of like why people were mad about, It and people

(01:38:40):
said that it was more about showing off online than
it was about actually caring for the, cause and that
dumping water on you was, easy and that it didn't
really lead to engagement about the.

Speaker 1 (01:38:51):
Disease but this is ice. Water it's really.

Speaker 9 (01:38:54):
Cold another person said it wasted, water clean water during,
droughts Which california was going through at the. Time seemed
like really a waste of time and. Space peer. Pressure
people felt pressure to do. It, well they told ME
i HAD i think we got tagged in a couple
AND i was, like get out of here right.

Speaker 2 (01:39:14):
Now he'd probably.

Speaker 1 (01:39:15):
Forced, to but, like it'll be a great digital, contract.

Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Like they.

Speaker 1 (01:39:21):
You.

Speaker 2 (01:39:21):
Did people were, like, well they told ME i had.

Speaker 1 (01:39:23):
To so.

Speaker 9 (01:39:24):
What it went viral fast and then it didn't last
long and then it just went away and some were
questioning how als spent the. Money now they got over
one hundred million. Dollars if you're, going, well what did
that get? Us the gene discovery of n E k one.

(01:39:44):
Boom they identified a gene called n E k one
as one of the most common genes associated WITH. Als
it helped scientists understand how the disease develops and gave
them new target for.

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
Treatments it Funded project men E Are.

Speaker 9 (01:40:00):
Yeah either, way it was a large international research effort
to map THE dna of thousands of people WITH. Als
it helped identify other genes involved in the disease and
created huge database for future. Research created new drug therapies
and like tofressen to ferson which targets a genetic form OF.
Als it's not a, cure but it's toward personalized, treatment

(01:40:24):
more clinical, trials and faster. Research it increased global collaboration
and it moved science forward in a big way where
labs that were stuck got. Unstuck so if they had
projects they needed to finish but couldn't because there wasn't,
funding they could pull those off the shelf now and
finish them and find come to. Conclusions so the sudden

(01:40:44):
flood of funding meant they could finally move, forward hire,
people buy, equipment and run those. Experiments young scientists joined
the fight because of the. Money early career researchers who
might have picked other fields started working on, als, Right
because if you're trying to be a scientist and you're, like,
well where's the. Money, oh we're doing research in in in,

(01:41:05):
psychedelics or we're doing research in, ozembic that's where the money.

Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
That you're, like all, right, WELL i can't do.

Speaker 1 (01:41:12):
Als i'll do.

Speaker 9 (01:41:13):
This doctor saw changing patient, hope AND i think this
might be the biggest one for me on why it.
Was it was important and doctors said that patients WITH,
als who usually had little to no, hope suddenly felt,
seen and it raised morale and brought in more patients
for clinical, trials which helped the research.

Speaker 1 (01:41:32):
Programs it makes, sense, yeah either all in, all how
it's a bad.

Speaker 2 (01:41:39):
Thing you can't you can't get.

Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
ME i don't know what it. Is did it waste some?

Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
Water, sure that's what we're picking right.

Speaker 1 (01:41:47):
Right did it make your nipples? Hard probably if you
got the ice watered on. You it did teach his
OWN i guarantee it doesn't matter who you, are you put,
ice cold water on some somebody said their nipples are getting.

Speaker 2 (01:42:01):
Hard, yeah or if you watched, It i'm just saying
MAYBE i thought that's where you were.

Speaker 1 (01:42:07):
Going, no, no, no just from the. Coldness you, know
somebody dumps the ice bucket on your, Head they're, like,
burr my nipples are. Cold but, hey we're raising.

Speaker 9 (01:42:17):
MONEY i would like for just one, time when they
do something like, this that the line is one clean
line to the. Solution so, hypothetically in this, scenario, Again
i'm not. TALKING i think the ice bucket challenge and
raising money for really any charity is a good. Thing
but to, go, oh we raised one hundred million, dollars

(01:42:39):
we got a, cure figured, it we figured it. OUT
i understand it's. COMPLICATED i understand it's not that. EASY
i think you would suddenly see a lot more people,
give right if they knew it automatically went to.

Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
And caused a. Cure, now maybe maybe there are some
that we just aren't aware.

Speaker 9 (01:42:58):
Of, yeah right, right, right cure's that happened because of
donations that were.

Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
Made, WELL i mean, That i'm sure there. Is you
got to go through the research, first which is where
the money comes in, hand you, know to fund the
research that goes with, it and that research may take
a couple of. Years, hell maybe even a decade or.
Two but you, Know i'm sure that you, know because
of the money raised in nineteen seventy, five we have

(01:43:25):
a cure for something today.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
Or hold, lot hold.

Speaker 9 (01:43:29):
On no major disease has been fully cured because of
a donation drive, alone, RIGHT i understand over, time.

Speaker 1 (01:43:40):
But not That's i'm talking about like we did it.
Boom that seems kind of shady. Though it's, like, hey
we got a, cure but we can't give it to
you without raising one hundred and fifty thousand. Dollars, yeah
or your.

Speaker 8 (01:43:53):
Don because of your donations to this, charity let's say
x amount of people who couldn't afford treatments were able
to get their. Treatments, TREATMENTS i, know but, answervived fought
and one, yeah the.

Speaker 9 (01:44:09):
Disease, Yeah but the idea Of i'm making a doation
to help those people in their in their, Sickness i'm.
Not you think you're giving money for a. Cure, Als you're,
like we're doing it to find a. Cure help us
find a. Cure, Right but there are some that had
breakthroughs because of. Donations Polio The march Of dimes started
in nineteen. Thirties the funded research led to the polio.

(01:44:30):
Vaccine polio isn't, cured but vaccines have nearly wiped it out.

Speaker 1 (01:44:34):
Worldwide i'll save you. ALL i didn't want to have
to text.

Speaker 9 (01:44:40):
IT hiv AND, Aids Red ribbon, Campaigns Elton John's Aid,
FOUNDATION AIDS. Walk the donations helped fund research and public health.
Efforts people with A hiv can now live normal lifespans with,
treatment and there's EVEN prap to prevent. Infections Cystic fibrosis

(01:45:02):
funded drug development Like, trakafta which treats the underlying cause
for many. Patients it's not a, cure but it's life.
Changing and the thing about cystic fibrosis that organization is
that it is only donation, based, Right they rely on.
Donations there's no government funding or anything like. THAT als

(01:45:24):
is on this, list, right the ice bucket. CHALLENGE i
just wanted to go down that rabbit hole of like
what has been fully funded like because AGAIN i think
people will be, like all, right well, cool, right look it.

Speaker 1 (01:45:36):
Works this goes back to my everything's a conspiracy since
you say, that but that goes back to there's no
money in a, cure, right, right so we're going to
keep raising money for, research won't have, breakthroughs but there's
not a cure for anything on that list that you just,
shared not, aids, hell not even. Polio, OH i go

(01:45:59):
backs and it's pretty well, eradicated but there's not a.
Cure so it just goes to show there's no money
in a. Cure keep giving us your money and we'll
keep coming up with treatments that make you feel.

Speaker 2 (01:46:09):
Better charity.

Speaker 9 (01:46:10):
Wise there's one that sticks out my mind and somebody
text in about, it and that's The Muscular district Of.
ASSOCIATION i ain't Remember Labor day weekend, right and then
doing the thing and Seeing Jerry lewis and going to
the mall to see them, filming right. Right it was
an idea of, like well they would do local break.

Speaker 1 (01:46:24):
Ins it was. Brilliant it was, brilliant and you would
see him ON tv and then he got really old
and you're, like, well this is.

Speaker 8 (01:46:31):
Weird his hair still.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
Black, yeah and they as the more time went, on
the less we saw of.

Speaker 4 (01:46:37):
Him.

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
Yeah and then some of those actus that, anyway and then.

Speaker 9 (01:46:40):
The fire fires they did the, boots, right and how
much money do you think they? RAISED nba The Jerry
lewis Helped Jerry lewis help raise for The Muscular just
To Free. Association how much do you think he raised
from nineteen sixty six to twenty TEN a?

Speaker 1 (01:46:57):
Billion i'd like to think a. Billion and that's a long,
time it. Is that's a long time.

Speaker 8 (01:47:03):
To be doing a drive like, that and they had
celebrities on.

Speaker 1 (01:47:06):
That we Do we've been doing the toy drive for
what fifteen? Years we're, Like i'm going to say seven
hundred and fifty. Mil AND i think that shoot and high.

Speaker 2 (01:47:21):
Two point six.

Speaker 1 (01:47:23):
Billion, okay it better be, yeah being that, long but
you Gotta my thought, Was, okay people, donate but how
much are they? Donating are they donating just a tiny
little bit to make themselves feel? Better and to say
that they donated now And i'm sure you got those
big ticket guys out there they're, like, yeah give them
one hundred. Thousand.

Speaker 8 (01:47:43):
NO i think over time there was a minimum that
where you had to donate at least ten dollars to
THE mda if you called.

Speaker 9 (01:47:50):
In it doesn't see maybe if you called, YEAH i
mean maybe if you called, In BUT i could always
go down and dump my coins into the fish.

Speaker 1 (01:47:55):
Tank, sure, right even then if you call it any
bit is. Fine riot should be. Acceptable even IF i
just wanted to donate a dollar over the, phone that
should be, acceptable not like, sorry, sir we can't take a.
Dollar it's a ten dollars minimum here At Jerry's. Kids, yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:48:13):
Listen doing charity and being, there it's the ultimate form
to help your, community, right it's the Least whether how
that looks for you is different for, everybody but helping
out organizations to help people in dire is totally worth.

Speaker 2 (01:48:28):
It it.

Speaker 9 (01:48:28):

out in your. Community be a steward of your, community.
