Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because it feels like I haven't talked to him in
like a month and a half.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Lee start Paramount sports dot com has made us money
all season long pro in college football. And then I
started taking a bunch of Thursdays off, and there was Thanksgiving,
and then Lee wasn't with us last week even though
I was here. But we're both here now, Lee, it
is good to talk to you. How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I'm great. I'm great. How about any anything exciting going
on with me? Yeah? Coming up the next week or two,
we are.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
We are anticipating the overnight arrival of a large, fat
man with a beard who's gonna drop off stuff that
we have been talking about in my house for the
last six months.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Okay, let me give you a little hint until you
get a get a pint of milk and put it
outside in some really good cookies. I hear he likes
oatmeal cookies.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Oatmeal cookie. I jot that down, all right. He likes
oatmeal cookies. Very good. Okay.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
We're just hoping our roof holds up this year the landing,
So yes, we are.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
We are quite excited for his arrival.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
This is a massive football weekend, Lee, I'm excited. Let's
begin with I think what most of us would agree
is the best of the four college football playoff matchups
this weekend. Ohio State at home, touchdown favored against Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
So something's wrong with this Ohio State team. Talent wise, skill,
position off the charts, special wide receiver, running back, but
this offensive line is a mess. I mean they're down
two key starters and we hit seventy seven rushing yards
versus Michigan. And how do teams perform after losing laying

(01:40):
more than nineteen and a half points historically thirty seven
and sixty seven against the spread. It is psychologically something
that teams a lot of times just can't overcome. Some
people say the weather gonna help out Ohio State, but
these kids from Tennessee, they're in eastern Tennessee and it
gets call. I don't think that's going to be a factor. Here.

(02:02):
Will Howard, I don't know if he can elevate his
play and love this kid, Dylan Sampson almost fifteen hundred
yards and you can count on over thirty thousand Tennessee
fans will find their way in the stadium. Right came
favorite Tennessee straight up twenty six, twenty four.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
See you Ryan, do not want to be Ryan Day
late on Saturday night if you end up being uh perferc.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Who do you think if he gets fired? Mike Rabel
see the guy?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I think that's the guy that a lot of Ohio
State fans want. I don't know if they would default
to him. Well, what the interesting is the timing of it?

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Because we're late in this right, the portal has been
open now for a while. We're late in the coaching cycle.
But yeah, look as much as I roll my eyes
at the fans when they lost to Michigan, who said,
well he has to win a national title to save
his job, I think it's going to be a really,
really really difficult scenario for him if they lose this
game on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
All right, I remember this? Also there is a second.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Portal, Yes, no doubt, Yes, yeah, definitely definitely all right,
Battle of the Hoosier State featuring the Hoosiers in South
Bend against Notre Dame, the Irish six point favorite.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Who do we like?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Love Kurt Signetti? Fuck his offensive face? Two defenses this year,
Michigan only had two hundred and forty six total yards
and only not this not four point four yards per carry,
four point four yards per play and against Ohio State
only one hundred and fifty three total yards. And how
lucky is Indiana gotten? Their defense has lost one total

(03:33):
start all season. One player missed one game on defense. Here,
think Riley Leonard just not going to turn the ball
over and hand it to Indiana. I like Notre Dame.
I think they pull away thirty to sixteen.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
All right, least early on Paramount sports dot Com. The
Bengals will take the field in the Battle of Ohio
Part two on Sunday, harboring postseason hopes. Now they could
be boosted tonight based on what happens between the Chargers
and Broncos, but nonetheless a meaningful game for Cincinnati, their
big favorites at home. We have seen them lose in

(04:05):
that scenario. This year is going to happen against Dorian
Thompson Robinson and the Browns.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
So Cincinnati's pass offense versus Cleveland's pass defense is going
to be the story of this game. The Browns are
number thirteen in passyards allowed and number two and fewest
completions allowed. That sounds pretty good, but they are number
thirty two in yards per completion allowed almost twelve yards
per And as for Cleveland's own offense, they run the

(04:32):
most plays believe it or not, in the league, but
number thirty yards per play. No quarterback is going to
have success on this team. Bengals thirty to seventeen.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Wow, very good, Lee Sterlingparamount sports dot com. We liked
it here at I let's talk about your free game

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
