Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tony.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Let's talk about two players. So I think all of
us were going to be watching closely in that first
preseason game. Let's begin on the offensive line. I think
a lot of us wanted to see Dylan Fairchild play
well enough that we could kind of forget about him
and go, you know what, he's fine, He's going to
be Okay. Let's talk about other positions on the offensive line.
They do have some offensive line questions. I'm not sure

(00:21):
that what based on what we saw from Dylan Fairchild,
that he's one of them.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah. I thought he was solid. I thought his footwork
looked great. I thought his punch was phenomenal. I thought
he handled stunts that were thrown at him in a
very professional manner. I think the next step is seeing
him against another team's best pass rushers to see what
that looks like. But everything that was thrown at him
against the Philadelphia Eagles, I thought he handled extremely well.

(00:47):
I think if you're Joe Burrow, you feel great about that.
I think if you're the Bengals front office, you feel
great about that because that's been one of those big
question marks for a lot of the offseason. Did this
team do enough to address the offensive line, and at
least through one preseason game at that position, you felt good.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
And I feel like we could talk about Shamar Stewart
in glowing terms as well. You know, he probably still
has a lot to prove. We all want to see
him get a sack. Only had one and a half
last year, but he was disruptive against Philly.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yeah, he looked for the lack of offseason that he had,
and I know that they played a lot of bass
and you're dumbing it down a little bit, but you
got to see his role ability. When you dumb it down,
you get to see his get off, his explosiveness, his strength,
the way he can change directions. Yes, he still needs
to finish the play. But for all to talk about
Shamar Stewart and all the buzz around him in the offseason,

(01:40):
can he stepped foot back on this field as a
member of the team that he signed this contract. I
think he's been everything you've wanted him to be and
he was able to do that again in his first
preseason opportunity. The best thing now is how much can
you grow from opportunity one to opportunity two. I'm looking
forward to starting with today seeing more from Shamar Stuart
were leading into the Commander's game next Monday night.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
The Bengals are back in the practice field this morning
at ten o'clock. We'll have it covered for you on
the Tony and Mode Training Camp Show starting at ten
am on ESPN fifteen thirty. Bengals have another game on
Monday night when they take on the Washington Commanders. That
is a road game for Cincinnati. You'll hear it live
on ESPN fifteen thirty and one oh two point seven
w EBN with Tony Pike. I'm Moeger
