(00:00):
Ky talk station Tuesdays at this timemeans we are going to do a Daniel
Davis deeve died with my guests, retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis. Normally,
Daniel and I are talking about foreignaffairs, the situation unfolding in Ukraine,
which doesn't look like it gets anybetter anytime. But today we're actually going
to pivot over to something, ofcourse that is on everybody's mind, the
(00:20):
massive, massive, and I've beenreferring to it with a nod to you,
Daniel Davis, Charlie Foxtrot. Thatwas Saturday, in the effort to
assassinate Donald Trump. What went rightin this other than the immediate response where
they surrounded Donald Trump as they shouldhave and got him off that stage.
By all accounts, that was doneproperly. But here, let me just
(00:40):
read you one sentence from a friendof mine who has a storied career in
law enforcement, more than thirty yearsin law enforcement. He has sent me
this. He took the USSS trainingclass, all right, he had reason
to do. That is in chargeof some agents as some sites. Anyway,
they stress you always always always controlthe high point within five hundred one
thousand yards site distance of the podium. They tried to put USSS counter sniper
(01:04):
teams on the highest points, etc. Et cetera. Sir, I shoot
modern sporting rifles regularly. I knowhow easy it is to hit a target
with one. At one hundred andfifty yards. That was the most perfect
vantage point to take a shot atthe former President Donald Trump, and yet
no one was on the dann rooffor even paying attention your analysis, Daniel
(01:27):
Davis, welcome back. Hell well, thanks for having me, Brian.
But yeah, I'm just just thisis just as much of a head scratcher
for me as it is for youand Charlie Foxtrott is certainly a one of
the most app descriptions from it,and you know, and it just gets
a lot worse when you look atit. Even I'll start off on the
podium, it was certainly good theway they immediately just literally leapt on him,
(01:49):
and that was fine. But thenthere was some problems even after that,
because after they stood him up,they got kind of around him,
but his head was still above everyone. It was still completely visible, and
they stood there for what seemed likean eternity. Now at that particular moment,
nobody knows if there's one shooter,if there's multiple shooters, if this
was designed to draw the fire andthe attention of everybody else. And then
(02:13):
when they're looking that way, thenanother shooter pops up here, which is
entirely reasonable and possible from an enemyperspective. They don't know that, so
they have to assume it's a dangeroussituation and immediately get him out of the
scene. But for whatever reason, they just stood there for an interminable period
and then finally got him out.In all the way he's going down those
stairs you see, I mean fromthe chest up, you see him visible
(02:34):
most of the time. So Idon't even understand that part of it.
But man, it gets a lotworse when you start looking at that location,
because I'll just tell you that positionthere, when you look at the
aerial shot of this situation, thatit's one of only like three or four
places there even could be an enemysnapper, and that's of course the primary
place you would be. And thereneeds to be some hard questions, asking
(02:58):
some answers demand of the people whowere in charge of setting this up,
because there's no I mean, youused to say to yourself, there it's
self evidently obvious why you would noteven leave such a direct line of shot.
That was the c for danger spots, and yet it wasn't even covered
well. And are learning today thelocal police had a watch post inside the
(03:21):
building that punk murderer climbed on topof, and then a police officer actually
climbed up a ladder saw him.He turned around and pointed his rifle at
him, and the police officer slunkback down the ladder. No word that
he tried to communicate with anybody, raising all kinds of questions, which we've
been talking about a lot this morning. Do they not have a unified comms
between the Secret Service and local lawenforcement? Hood He got on a radio
(03:44):
and said, there's a guy ina building with a gun. For God's
sake, I mean yeah, Andyou know now I actually cover this in
some detail in a show on mychannel last not where I methodically looked at
the timeline here and it is itis again. I stress there needs to
be some really hard answers or questionsasked and answers given because something is not
(04:08):
lining up here. I'm just gonnabe honest with you. When you see
many minutes I mean as many asfour minutes where the crowd on the ground
is screaming, there's the guy's gota gun and they have cameras showing him
literally crawling up on there. Yousee policemen on the ground, and yet
nothing's being done. And you seethese guys, they have microphones on their
(04:28):
face. Why aren't they calling somebody? And then why isn't the Secret Service
immediately getting Trump off the stage beforefinding out if the guys got a weapon
or not. And then you seethese guys on the roof with this huge
scope looking right at this guy.Why did they not say something because they
were also miked up to say shootor shooter, get the president off the
stage. None of those things happened. And there needs to be a thorough
(04:51):
investigation here and just saying oh,I'm sorry, we made a mistake.
I'm not sure that that's going tocover this one. Well, I agree
with you all day long. Butthen again, you know, lot of
people have they look at the warand report on the Kennedy assassination. Nobody's
believed that that came out what ayear plus later after the assassination. How
long are we going to be onpins and needles on this before we finally
get a definitive answer on the reasonfor this epic failure on so many levels.
(05:16):
You know, I've been seeing alreadysome of the Secret Service officials talking
like, well, this is goingto be a thorough investigation. It'll take
a long time. Okay, fivedo a long thorough investigation, but you
need one right now. And Imean something that somebody else is looking at,
not just the people in the SecretService, like an external agency that's
(05:38):
going to find out what's happening, because we still have a campaign to get
through. We still have the presidenthimself that needs to be protected. And
if there is systemic errors in theway that they conduct these things, it
needs to be identified today, notsix months or six years from now.
Well you know it as well asI know. We live in the day
of the Internet and a lot ofconspiracy theories swirling around this one. And
(06:00):
I'm not that kind of guy.I like to wait until I get my
facts before I draw my conclusions. But as bad as this was and the
failures on so many levels, evennovices can point to why in the hell
wouldn't they do X, Y orz uh this one? This one looks
really really bad, Daniel Davis, and I think a lot of folks have
lost their respect for letter at agenciesgenerally. So if the FBI is going
(06:24):
to investigate this, I think there'sa sort of measure of skepticism out there
they're ever going to get the realanswer? Well, who's to argue with
you? I mean, we've beenlied to so many times. I mean,
this is not an R or aD issue here. This is a
government issue, and it's across theboard. Uh, And there is substantial
loss of trust in the government ofwhat anybody's saying. Because when you can
(06:46):
see with you're on eyest it's somethingis deeply, deeply amiss. I mean,
I even the stuff I talked abouton my show yesterday were I chronicled
to all these things. I can'tcome to a conclusion because I don't have
enough information what may or may nothappened. He could have just been grossing
confidence, but it could have beensomething else as well, and who might
have been behind that. I don'thave any way of knowing, but somebody
(07:09):
needs to find out something, andmaybe we have multiple agencies oversee this.
I don't know what the answer is, but I do know that things are
not lining up with any kind ofcommon sense and logic. Well, my
popcorn will remain out on this one. Daniel Davis Deep Dive find it easily
online. Just search for Daniel DavisDeep Dive. You will find him and
