(00:01):
Just I have a thirty to fiftyfive KRCD talk station. It's Tuesday,
which means it's time for a DanielDavis deep Dive. You can find them
online podcast Daniel Davis Deeve Dive.Just search for it you'll find it.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis. Ithink this we're gonna be talking about the
Biden Harris situation unfolding and welcome backto the fifty five KRC Morning Show,
my friend. I think this maybe the first time we shifted over into

(00:21):
matters political, because normally you andI are talking about, you know,
the war with Ukraine, the situationin the Middle East, and global affairs,
which I know you it's your areaof primary expertise, but welcome to
politics. Could you have you backon are we witnessing? Yeah, I
appreciate it, but as if weget into it, you'll find there's some
direct correlation between the two. SoI'm leager to talk about it. Yes,

(00:42):
and I am as well because oneof the mysteries surrounding this whole bloodless
coup atta that we've seen to bewitnessing right now is where in the hell
is Kamala Harris on all of thesecritically important issues. Now we have a
record as a senator rated the mostliberal senator of all of them, with
Bernie Sanders behind her at least interms of the most liberal senator. I

(01:03):
couldn't believe that the rankings from govTrack from twenty nineteen scorecard reflected that all
you need to do is look ather record, whether when she was in
California or as her term as Senator. Very left leaning record, although not
a whole lot of flesh on thebones of where she is from a foreign
policy standpoint. But before we diveinto that, what is your take on
what we're witnessing in front of us? You know, Biden disappears, he

(01:26):
goes to a Hoboth beasts. Nextthing you know, he's dropping out of
the race. He's been, youknow, quiet ever since, although he
did come out and sort of confirmedthat he did drop out yesterday. Beyond
that, nothing My theory and Ikeep emphasizing this because I don't want anybody
to think that I've actually read thisor have personal knowledge on it. Is
they're going to Joe Biden is goingto resign from the presidency because of some

(01:49):
health related issue, but not becauseof cognitive impairment. It will be something
else like cancer or you know whatever, he can't do the job. And
more because as of right now,and even JFK. Junior called her out
on it, I mean, hebecause she was so complicit in this cover
up about Biden. She's been onrecord of constantly telling everybody in America in

(02:15):
the world that Biden's as sharp asattack. Obviously, that is not the
case, as we have all foundout. Yeah, and we certainly,
you know, we have known thatfor quite a long period of time.
It's just that only now or isa Democratic party, have they chosen to
acknowledge what they have known more thanwe did behind the scenes for many,

(02:37):
many, many months. And youknow what I just got to tell you.
I mean, we can talk aboutwhatever policy issues you want, to
know. One of the things thatjust kind of strikes me is a bit
odd. Okay, many things, but one of the one of the things
right now is that while Joe Bidenis at least according to reports, recovering
from COVID in his home, andyou know, and he's obviously got to

(02:58):
be just it was a traumatic eventemotionally for him to give up the range
et cetera. You have Kamala Harrisaround a round like she's on a victory
party and dancing with all this stuffand just cackling and laughing about things and
just relishing in the spotlight. Andit just makes me think, man,
where's the loyalty to her former boss? That she's not even being a little

(03:21):
bit of difference to him for themoment. It's just immediately leaping into here.
And you know, and I thinkthat ultimately that maybe more important than
it may appear, because it justshows that she seems to be this is
just my personal opinion, you know, kind of out for herself. Oh
without question. I think her historyand politics is illustrates that and demonstrates that
if you go back and look atit. But what of Kamala Harris as

(03:43):
this anointed person within? I mean, Biden obviously started the ball rolling on
this, and I'm sure that pointwas coordinated as well Daniel. So once
he says that, then a lotof the Democrats come out of the woodwork
and say, yes, we're allbehind Kamala Harris. We're all behind Kamala
Harris and even Nancy yesterday. Silencefrom Obama so far, but we figure
that she was going to drop soonenough. This leaves the constituents completely out

(04:09):
of the equation. They wanted nothingto do with her. Listen, I'm
not a registered Democrat. I didn'tvote to the primaries. She didn't even
make it to the primary. Shehad a drop out because she couldn't get
a single digit in polling among afield of like seventeen or eighteen candidates,
right yeah, and you know, and you look back to that, and
I went and looked at this againyesterday just to kind of refresh my memory.

(04:30):
When you had Tulsi Gabbert just eviscerateher when she had to go toe
to toe with somebody tough. EvenBiden was kind of hands off on her
during the campaign in the twenty twentyseason, and Tulci was just a normal
politician going after her record, toyour point, and she had no answer
for it. You see, shewilt it on stage. I mean to

(04:51):
this day, I still remember itwhen it was live and I was like,
are you going to respond to it? Are you going to say anything?
And that she didn't and then droppedout after that because of the polling.
And now you imagine what would shedo if she had to go on
stage with Donald Trump right now ina debate, or if she is becomes
president. I'm not even talking aboutbeing elected, but I'm talking about whether

(05:12):
she becomes elected or president because ofpassing the torch over because Biden can't handle
it. Now, can you seeher going toe to Toehijian Peing or Vladimir
Putin or even some of our allieswithout being coarse? I just don't know.
Maybe she would shock me, butgiven the sample size we have,
it's not very encouraging to think ofher as being the commander in chief with

(05:35):
the nuclear codes. All right now, I'm pivoting over a commander in chief
Kamala Harris, and that may happen, as you suggested, and I believe
sooner rather than later. Let's pivotover to Ukraine. I haven't heard her
being outspoken critic of the current administration'spolicy of continuing to NonStop fund the Ukrainians
in spite of the spiraling out ofcontrol problems or facing there defending themselves from

(05:59):
the Russians. But are we onthe same path under President Kamala Harris as
we currently are under President Biden?Or are we just dealing with guest work
here, Daniel, Yeah, no, I think so. Now you can
make the argument that all these speechesshe made, like earlier this year when
she was in Kiev and she wasa virtual mouthpiece for Joe Biden, saying
the exact same things he did aboutyou know, we'll stay with you as

(06:20):
long as it takes, you're gonnawin the war, all this kind of
stuff. It's unclear whether that's justbecause what she was told to do as
the vice president, that's what you'resupposed to do, you know, you're
supposed to support the president, orwas it her own view. But my
personal expectation is that she's just gonnakind of let things just go on autopilot.
She's probably gonna hire a lot ofthe same people. I can't even

(06:43):
imagine that she would have some kindof change of course and do something materially
different than what Biden did. Ithink she'll just keep on going with the
status quo. And what of Israel. I get the sort of strong feeling
that she is I don't want tosay anti Israel. She's not a completely
anti Israel, but she is proPalestine in a sense. The two state

(07:03):
solution I think has come out ofher mouth before and calling on Israel to
you know, keep their powder dryand not escalate the violin. So we
get some indication of a Kamala Harrisas a commander in chief relative to Israel.
But is that enough to satisfy theprotesters that are inevitably going to show
up at the Democratic convention, whetherit's a foregone conclusion convention or not,

(07:26):
or in the anger and the argumentsin the street and the protest about the
whole situation that's going to continue toflong past the election. Well, according
to Washington Post this morning, toyour point, she already has enough delegates,
the permanent delegates, I forget theterm, so it basically is already
a done deal before it gets inthere. So that seems to have been
the result in terms of the IsraeliPalestine situation. She's going to continue to

(07:51):
have the same difficulty that Boden didbecause, you know, she may be
wanting to go all in on Israel, but there is a significant portion of
her electorate and people that she needsto get in office who are as you
know, you know, very muchwant to worry about the Palestinian people,
and so she can't go all inon Israel, and I mean we're gonna

(08:13):
probably get a clue of it tomorrowwhen Benjamintte Yeah, who addresses a joint
session of Congress, will see kindof how she responds to him there,
and that might give us a clue. But I assure you that the people
in her party that are you know, want to see the war come to
an end, want to see somethingdone to help the Palestinian people. They
will not be silent, and theywill exert the pressure on her that they

(08:35):
have. Well, I expect atleast in in response to any questions or
reaction to Benjaminett and YEAHO address inCongress, she will giggle at some point.
Daniel, Oh, yeah, I'venot seen a day since she's been
in office that she hasn't well nearly. It's just it's kind of a hallmark

(08:56):
that I don't think the Democratic Partyreally wants. It's play well right now.
I saw a clip of a videoyesterday where she came out with the
knobs against Trump, and there waslike a literally standing ovation to the people
were cheering wildly because they love itwhen she goes after him. But that's
not going to play well when you'retrying to get people in the middle who
just want a good president. They'renot looking for somebody who just wants to

(09:18):
crush the other guy without having anykind of a competing vision. I mean,
whatever people want to say about Trump, you know where he stands on
actual issues here, and you couldhave some dispute over what they are.
But we better see what her actualposition on issues are that mattered to our
lives beyond the laughing one insurmountable hurdleshe's got Daniel immigration. I mean,

(09:41):
she was in charge of the borderand she looked at the Central America and
started talking about these ten twenty years, thirty year solutions like planning sustainable crops
and dealing with global warming challenges, and all the reasons that she believes or
at least paid lip service to thereasons that we're being inundated with illegal immigrants
fleeing those nations do anything to closethe border, and Democrats in Democrats cities

(10:03):
in blue cities that were sanctuary seasare all as mad as hell about the
aftermath of that. She can't overcomethat, well, yeah, I mean
she unless she becomes a regular politicianand changes with the wind, and we'll
see if she does that, becauseyou can hold a position if you want,
as long as long as it worksfor the people that you're trying to

(10:24):
represent. But the day that herposition runs into a brick wall, she
either changes course and goes with thebrick wall, or she doesn't get elected.
And you know, this is notthe time when she was in office.
And people are sick and tired ofa lot of this stuff because they
see the ramifications of it, theysee how it's played out. It's not
been played well, and they wantsomebody who has some actual answers beyond whatever

(10:48):
the party of affiliation they may have. They want to see, what are
you going to physically do about it? And she's kind of made her history
in one direction, and we'll seeif she can remake herself into something that
makes sense out on that. Itcertainly is. But we are the jury,
and we'll have an opportunity to chimein. My Democratic listeners won't have
an opportunity to chime in on whothey would prefer to run per president,

(11:09):
but we will have an election anda choice in November. Daniel Davis deep
