Speaker 1 (00:07):
Five o five. If it's five k r C the
talk station.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Happy Wednesday, say.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Let us some call me.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Tim right out of the gate. Joe, well played, Timmy,
Tim Waltz. We'll talk about that this morning. And a
happy Wednesday to you. Brian Thomas here inviting you to listener. Lunches.
Today's gonna be at Jim and Jackson the River. Looking
forward to seeing folks there, and I hope you can
make It's always a good time at Jim and Jacks.

(00:54):
Smithman's going to be there. Jim Neil, who's running for
Sheriff's going to be there. I think Adam Kayler's going
to be there. I think Orlando Sonz said he was
going to be there. We'll see, and Ken Kober is
going to join the program. FOP President Ken Cober at
six point thirty this morning. What the hell is going on?

(01:15):
The FOP endorsed Greg Lansman and Denise Treehouse the police Union.
I thought law and order was everybody's big concern of late.
You're not gonna get law and order with Threehouse, certainly,
you know Greg Landsman's record, Yeah, defund the police. Maybe

(01:37):
that's what does the FOP want to be defunded. Joe,
you think that's it. I'm looking forward to hear what
Ken apparently was not at the meeting when they handed
the endorsements over. I don't know what the hell's going
on with that one. That makes absolutely no sense to me.
So fortunately Ken's willing to come on the program and
maybe maybe try to explain the thoughts that are going
through the minds of the FOP members. Anyway, Barona Morello

(02:00):
from the Brianna Morello podcast Who is Tim Waltz got
the answer to some of those questions this morning. That's
at seven oh five, follow by Steve Belzo. Clemar County
Veterans Association got an emergency financial assistance program and let's
talk to my veteran member are listening audience members about
so Steve at seven forty, followed by the return of
the one and only, the Great Congressman Thomas Massey. He'll

(02:22):
talk about the election, the economy, and foreign policy about
which we know nothing in terms of Kamala Harris's views
on foreign policy. That's one that concerns me. Also, Interestingly enough,
and somebody called in yesterday to the program about how
Kamala Harris has absolutely no information on her web page
web page which is supposed to outline issues and positions

(02:44):
and standpoints, and really it's just a fundraising web page.
It doesn't have any information about her economic plans for
the country or any other aspects of her platform. There's
a whole bunch of opportunities for you to donate money
on her web page. A sign up form for or
to provide their contact information to the campaign and the
Democratic National Committee so they can maintain and keep hitting

(03:05):
me up for money over and over again. A biographical
information about Harris and Waltz we'll be talking about here
in a moment, discussing their histories. A merchandise shop where
you can buy yard signs and hats and stuff, which
of course is going to go to support the Kamala
Harris campaign. But no information about our campaign platform or

(03:27):
plans for the economy, other issues that usually appear on
candidate's website, like for example, Donald Trump's, which has an
outline of his twenty core promises to make America great again,
and it goes into some measure of detail, not a
tremendous amount of detail, not as long as the GOP's
big platforms from prior campaign years. But general, at least
high level statements about the campaign's goals with some degree

(03:50):
of specificity. At least it's right there for you to
see and observe and ergo ask questions if you remember
the press, because Donald Trump does avail himself to the
press and does answer questions in some hostile environments too.
He's willing to go to the lions. Then Kamala Harris,
what we on day seventeen where she hasn't uttered a
syllable to the press, hiding behind her surrogates and leading

(04:11):
her campaign website devoid of any information that might lead
you to conclude that either she's a great candidate or
allows you one, just a mechanism for her to raise money.
So the Biden strategy of hiding in the basement, it
seems to be going, at least so far, so good
for Kamala Harris considering where she is in the polls.
But is that honeymoon period over? We'll find out soon enough,

(04:33):
I suppose, won't we. Anyhow, here we go, Tim Waltz.
They're going to try to pass them off as a moderate.
He's a folksy guy. He can talk to the everyday guy.
He's just centrist. Yes, the centrist word is being circulated
among the media, but don't fall for it. He's the

(04:55):
biggest left wing pick. They could have chosen him. Why
the hell didn't they go for Shapiro from Pennsylvania, a
state that was in play, you know, so called swing
state critical to win the presidency. Some are suggesting members
of the Democrat Party didn't like mister Shapier because of
his stance on Israel, the fact that he's a Jewish person,
and there are so many anti Semites in the Democrat

(05:16):
Party that maybe that it might have been toxic to
a wide swath of the Democrats. Minnesota has not voted
Republicans since Richard Nixon in nineteen seventy two. They voted
Democrat in every presidential election since nineteen seventy six. It's
a solid blue state. It's not even close to being
in play. What does he bring to the table. Okay,

(05:40):
let's look at his record. Described as governing more like
California Governor Gavin Newsom since he was elected in twenty nineteen.
Increased taxes. Minnesota has the fifth highest top income tax
rate among the states. Waltz added one percent sir tax
to a net investment to income above a million, reducing deductions,

(06:04):
and apparently even wanted more than that. They have a
death tax in Minnesota, one of the few states that
still levies a death tax up to sixteen percent on
the top of on top of the federal forty percent rate,
which the Wall Street Journal Lease cites is one of
the reasons Minnesota is in fact losing its residents to
other more favorable climbs, much in the same way California

(06:27):
and New York and other far left leaning states, including
notably Illinois, have lost most of or at least many
of their very very wealthy residents because it sucks to
be rich in any one of those states. Made an
estimate at eighty one thousand illegal immigrants in the state
eligible for driver's license along with health insurance. That's right.

(06:48):
He expanded the Minnesota Care public marketplace to include healthcare
for illegal immigrants. He approved funding of the north Star
prom This program, which provides free free college for students
with family income under eighty thousand dollars, including illegal immigrants.

(07:10):
Great State system for paid family and medical leave captain
of combined twenty weeks a year, funded by a point
eighty eight percent payroll tax more taxes mandate of the
public utilities generate eighty percent carbon free electricity by twenty
thirty and one hundred percent carbon free by twenty forty.
He is a climate action believer. So you know what
your energy policy in America is. Under the Harris Waltz administration,

(07:37):
subsidized electric vehicles by requiring ev charging infrastructure within or
adjacent to new commercial and multifamily buildings, obviously adding costs
to the building of multifamily buildings, but also, you know,
the obvious force is that you've got to have an
electric vehicle past one of the most permissive abortion statutes

(08:00):
with basically no limits and no age considerations for minors.
That'd be one of those late term abortion states. He's
all pro abortion love. This one declared Minnesota to be
a trans refuge. The law states the state will ignore
a court order for the removal of a child issued

(08:22):
in another state because the child's parent of guardian assisted
the child in receiving gender affirming care in Minnesota. Established
automatic voter registration letting Minnesota and sign up for permanent
absentee ballot option permanent. And here's a fun quote from
the newly selected vice presidential running mate quote, don't ever

(08:46):
shy away from our progressive values. One person's socialism is
another person's neighborlyness, you know, and I always view socialism
and communalism as neighborly ness right from each accordingon's ability,
each according his need, which basically means taking away your
stuff and things and giving it away to someone else.

(09:06):
Your labor, your work, your effort results in a paycheck,
results in the accumulation of wealth. Maybe you get to
own a home based upon the wealth you have earned.
Neighborliness requires members in elected office to vote in laws
that allow them to take your stuff away and give
it to whoever they damn well please neighborliness. And I

(09:30):
suppose if you don't want to play along with that
concept of wealth redistribution, you're not neighborly. You could be charitable.
You could be a religious person in terms of, you know,
giving to the poor and needy, fulfilling your perhaps even
Christian mission to provide for those in need. Yes, from yourself,
from your heart as a consequence of your belief in
a higher power. That's neighborly, folks. When the government comes

(09:53):
and takes it away from you, you have no choice.
You're not being neighborly, You're being forced, you are being
it's being stolen from you neighborly, miss my ass. And
the rumblings about anti Semitism across the board here. I

(10:13):
got a kick out of CNN's Van Jones. You know,
I mean, we're not talking about exactly a conservative here.
Is it just because he's a moderate? No, because he's not?
Or is there some anti Jewish bias here? You also
have anti this is Jevan Jens's words, and you also

(10:33):
have anti Semitism that has gotten marbled into this party.
You can't be for the Palestinians without being an anti
Jewish bigot butt, or you can be rather without being
an anti Jewish bigot butt. There are some anti Jewish
bigots out there, and there's some disquiet now, and there
has to be How much of what just happened is
caving to some of these darker parts of the party.

(10:56):
Is Shapiro that toxic to the Democrats? The Democrats been
so overwhelmed with anti Jewish bigotry and anti Israeli sentiment
and pro Palace I'm sorry, not pro Palestinian sentiment, more
so perhaps pro Hamas sentiment didn't work out real well

(11:17):
for Corey Bush, being on that side of the ledger.
She's out. They threw out no third term for Squad member.
Corey Bush lost her primary to St. Louis County Prosecutor
Wesley Bell, described as a more moderate candidate who had

(11:38):
the backing of pro Israel groups. That's meant millions to
unsee Corey Bush because of her criticism of the Jewish nation,
and she did. After the Hamas October seventh terror attack,
remember the slaughter of children and elderly people, among others.
She claimed Israeli's initial response, Israeli's collective punishment against Palestinians

(12:02):
for herma's action is a war crime. Corey Bush, and
oddly enough, Jamal Bowman, who also lost to a moderate
pro Israeli democrat in the primary. Another Squad member anti Israel,
Jamal Bowman. What did Corey Bush do on election day?

(12:23):
She joined on election day virtual rally with the now
defeated Bowman and top Israeli critic Representative Rashida t Le
among other anti Israeli folks. It didn't work. She's out, indeed,
So if you see Bowman losing Squad member, you see

(12:45):
Corey Bush losing the squad member. You see both of
them with their profoundly anti Israel and some may even
say anti Semitic statements. Their own people threw them out.
Enter Tim Waltz and not Shapiro five and two three

Get over there. Get your iHeart mediaf so you can

later in the day all the iHeartMedia contents available through
the app. Got the Daniel Davis Deep Dive talked about
Ukraine and Israel yesterday. Dodd Zenzer, on the insanity going
on in downtown Cincinnati, wanted to raise the earnings tax

(14:47):
in a time when we're all struggling economically, and we
have a former Republican CINCINNTI State Representative, Tom Brinkman, who
didn't want the railroad to be sold. Following paper work
with the City of Cincinnati yesterday indicating he plans to
gather signatures for a charter amendment that would put six

(15:09):
hundred million dollars of the railroad sale money toward property
tax relief for Cincinnati homeowners. Would Joe, was I just
speaking about wealthy distribution and in the concept of neighborliness.
I don't get this. His amendment would seek to take

(15:30):
six hundred million dollars out of the fund transfer to
a property tax relief fund that would similarly like the
one point six billion dollars that's in that fund, would
gain interest. I guess it'd be managed. That fund would
automatically pay city property taxes for city property owners until
the fund is gone, at which time reality will set
back in and you'll be responsible for paying your tax bill.

(15:54):
I don't know. This does not sound entirely like something
it would come out of a Republican's mind or set
of values. Maybe we need a legislative solution in Columbus
regarding how property taxes are calculated. Anyway, Uh and someone
called yesterday, I wanted to know about the the transgender bill.

(16:16):
UH And I wasn't aware of where it stood when
she called in. I had to do a quick Internet
search and it looked like it was on whole Look.
Guess what yesterday the day I got the call on
that Franklin County COMMA. Please, Judge Michael Holbrook rescinded the
earlier restraining order that blocked the law which UH which
which bans so called gender affirming care from transgender or

(16:39):
for transgender miners. It also bans transgender girls that be
guys pretending to be girls from participating in female sports.
Now the ac LU, of course, plans to appeal the
decision Holbrook. The judge ruled that Ohio's new band does
not violate the Ohio Constitution's health care freedom I'm in
or in Ohio, a requiring legis to be limited to

(17:00):
a single subject. Those were the subject matters of the litigation.
So how it well prevents doctors from prescribing hormones, pubity blockers,
or gender reassignment surgery for patients under the age of eighteen,
so they get some life experience, become adults, and then
can make an informed decision on behalf of themselves, as
opposed to having some doctor tell them as they are young,

(17:21):
young young people without my life experience that they need
gender reassignment surgery anyway. Uh, perfectly timed update on that one,
considering I was caught a little off garden and got
the call. Actually had it right in my response. Today
the landscape has changed the laws back in play five

Like my submarine er friend is going to be there
with cribbage board in hand, so likely facing defeat again,
but I will hold out a measure of optimism that
I can beat him anyway. You're invited up to see
you there. Back over the local stories. You can feel
free to call if you'd rather talk, that's fine with me.
We of course have recreational weed sold for the first
time here in the state of Ohio yesterday, lines around

(19:06):
the block. Apparently recreational sales not legal in Kentucky and Indiana,
and traveling with marijuana across the state lines is against
the federal against federal law. This message from the Hio
Department of Commerce speaking with Let's see here the CPO

(19:29):
of Channel nine talking to customers waiting outside the Ascend
dispensary downtown, asking them if they were aware that taking
marijuana to another state was illegal, said one man said,
I was aware. I did a little research another customers
city found out just been in the past week that
using it in other states and taking the products across
state lines is illegal in any n of state. Police troopers

(19:50):
Sergeant John Prin speak with Channel nine. So there can
be confusion over the rules from state to state, but
not knowing the law is not an excuse. Ignorance of
the law is never an excuse. Quote. Indiana state law
does not allow the possession of marijuana, but I think
people don't take the responsibility to do research before they
travel through Indiana or into Indiana. According to Campbell County

(20:12):
Assistant Attorney Steve Franz end quote, there is no legal
possession of recreational marijuana and Kentucky it's still class C
Class B misdemeanor. Now, what about driving while smoking weed?
That being over Credit to Fox nineteen local w Xias,

(20:36):
Ohio law enforcement officers may soon have a new tool
to detect THC levels and drivers Law Enforcement Agency is
now working on programs to detect THC more quickly. Tests
involves swabbing the mouth on site instead of standing a
suspect of the hospital for a urin or blood test,
and I will tell you Ohio law is the most

(20:58):
corrupt law when it comes to the blood test from marijuana.
If you smoke a joint two weeks later, you could
still have the residual chemicals in your body. You aren't
high at all, but there they float and it's a
different compound. It gets broken down to the body, So
what they're detecting is not actual THCHC. It's something other
than But according to the House Supreme Court in a

(21:20):
decision many years ago, sucks to be you. If you
have that floating around your body, they're going to consider
you OVI. No modern tests for it until now. Maybe
according to ken Cover, saliva testing better for the officer,
better for the suspect. It's a lot less intrusive, you said,
you know, trying to take taking somebody to the hospital
to give a blood or taking them back to the
station to ask them for yourham pretty intrusive. Something like

(21:43):
this is just a simple swab and they rub it
in your mouth and then they've got the results back
within twenty four hours. So that the saliva tests are
currently being used in twenty four states, making their way
through the state legislature in Columbus State Representative Cecil Thomas
vote in favor of the bill to legalize the use
of these saliva t kits, but apparently has some reservations.
He said, the saliva kid itself cannot be the determining

(22:03):
factor as to whether you're impaired. It may show that
there's marijuana in your system. Now we all know that
marijuana stays in your system a lot longer, up to
like thirty days for that matter. Good point, it's an
excellent point. Impairment is what is wrong. You can't drive
while impaired if you smoked to join a couple of

(22:26):
weeks ago, and you haven't smoked any since, you're no
longer impaired, So it's a difficult road to hoe. But
again in Ohio, the law basically sucks for those out
there who have previously smoked weed but who are no
longer impaired behind the wheel if used to come to
a urine or blood test. Toddler and Ohio killed after
being hit by a vehicle to gas station. Happen on

(22:47):
Sunday night, according to Clyde Police Chief mont Monte Campbell,
which I was being was leaving a Clark station North
Main Street. This is in Toledo before seven pm when
they were hit. Officers on the scene perform life saving measures. Sadly,
the child passed away. Name of the victim the driver
of the vehicle has not been released. Go fund me
established for the child by the parents' sister names the

(23:08):
victim as Elijah. Accident currently under investigation with assistants from
the High State Patrol. What a sad Sad thing? Bengals tickets.
In previous years, fans can called the Bengal Ticket ticket
office over the phone and purchased single game tickets without

(23:29):
the fees typically associated with online purchase. Starting this year,
tickets purchased over the phone through the team now have
the same fees as tickets purchased to the Bengals Ticketmaster storefront,
according to the team director of Communication, speaking with The Enquirer,
Emily Parker. Fees, however, still lower than the charges out
of the tickets purchased on Ticketmaster General storefront and those
purchased through secondary markets. She said, single game ticket to

(23:53):
the bengals upcoming preseason game against Tampa listed as sixty
dollars with an eight dollars and fifty cent fee through
the official Ticketmaster site. On the general site, the ticket
listed at the same price carries fourteen dollars and seventy
cents in fees. Thank you, Joe Strecker. That's the sound
effect that I was thinking of when I read this.

(24:13):
And then you can go on in and buy yourself
as seven dollars. Maybe I think it's more than that
skyline cheese cony with a twelve dollars beer. Maybe those
prices have gone up, you know when they inflationary reality

the FOP endorsed Craig Landsman at an Eastreet house. Just
blowing my mind this morning, thanks to my little bird friend,
my favorite early informer of such things Westside Jim Keefer,
who alerted me to that yesterday by text. Looking forward
to seeing Jim keeper at lunch today and you too.
Colorad authorities arrested Amanda, they say murdered a woman that

(26:32):
he met over Snapchat by strangling her with a choke hold.
Ol Paso County Sheriff's office got a nine one thank you.
Joe got a nine one one call about two thirty
in the morning August first, from a man requesting a
welfare check on an unresponsive woman at a home on
the on Hialua Trail thirteen thousand block. Medical personnel showed up,

(26:53):
announced woman dead. According to after conducting several interviews, deputy's
arrested twenty six year old Horge mesa ala On Junior,
making Dad proud, for first degree murder rest. Haf been
able to obtained by the Colorado Springs Grizzette and local
CBS affiliate k K TV said Deputy Son the victim,
eighteen year old Annabelle Flora and Wyant inside the home

(27:15):
with blood near her ear and her pants and underwear
at her ankles. One of her friends reportedly told police
that he had dropped Florin Wyant at the home around
one am two and their words collect money from Mesa Alacron.
Flor and Wyant had gotten weird vibes from this guy,
asked the friend to stay in touch via text.

Speaker 4 (27:36):
Do what that heppens?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Sad with the friends stopped hearing from her after about
ninety minutes, so he called the police. Cop found Mesa
Alacron about three miles away from the home with visible
injuries to his face. During an interview, reportedly told detectives
that he met this woman over the snap over Snapchat
and he's going to pay her for sex. First, claiming
he was going to get the money to pay her
when she allegedly hit him with something, possibly a foam,

(27:59):
that knocked him out. He then woke up three miles
away called nine to one one to report the assault,
but later in the interview he allegedly changed his story.
Reportedly said Florine Wye had threatened him before and was
wary of an idling car outside the home and her
constantly texting someone. Scared he was going to be attacked,
he said he instantly went into a leg lock, but

(28:21):
transitioned to a dark choke hold. What the apostrophe, arcee,
that's a new one, my lexicon. Folks don't know what
that is. Bottom line, a choke hold, which he demonstrated
on the floor of the interview room for the police.
The affidata reportedly stayed a Mason alachron, then got off,
got her, got off her, and went inside waiting for

(28:45):
that one too. Joe the rest David reportedly states Horge
was asked if he knew Nabel was dead when he
left the home, and he stated without checking her pulse,
and said he knows how to do locks, meaning headlocks,
because he likes to, and he knows when with a
choke hold is used, you only have two to three
taps in you. It's his words. Deputies arrested him took

(29:08):
him to the El Paso County Jail, where he remains
on a one million dollars bond. Local NBC affiliate reported
he was arrested in February for choking a dog to
death and dumping its body in a dumpster. Well, the
biggest douche of the universe, in all the galaxies, there's

(29:32):
no bigger douche than you Snapchat. World's filled with dangerous people,
and it's a great place to meet him, right there
on the internet. USA insallation great folks to let me
eat at your home, where they'll come to do a
free insulation inspection of your home. Older homes UH built
after the mid seventies. Again, my daughter's home is the

(29:54):
perfect illustration. She has USA's premium foam in the exterior
walls because her old home Lates Companies built only had
R twelve in the exterior walls, which had deteriorated over
the decades it's been in there. It never was adequate.
R twelve is not sufficient insulation. Get the foam in
the walls. USA's foam highest R value on the market.
You can't find a higher R value. Phone. The injected
in there fills in all the nooks and crannies. They

(30:16):
added benefit of keeping little things from creeping into your home. Right,
you got mice that occasionally get in there. Ah, the
phone will help keeping out along with bugs and stuff.
But the reason you get it is because you want
better comfort and you want energy savings, and those energy
savings guarantee from USA Insallation. So the better comfort, lower
energy bill. If that's not enough, USA is going to

(30:39):
give you a free attic insulation when you pay for
the foam in the exterior walls, and the government's going
to give you twelve hundred dollars. Just use the energy
tax code when you're doing your taxes next year you
pay for the phone. It's like taking twelve hundred dollars
off the top. So call them. It's a free quote again,
free inspection. If you think you may be under insulated,
they'll let you know three eight one three six two

Fifty fifty five ker CD talk station. We're having a
wonderful Wednesday big show lined up today. FOP president Ken
Kober is going to answer the question why and the
hell did FOP endorsed Greg Landsman in Denise Street House
Brown and Morello Brown Morello Podcasts. Who is Tim Watts?
Learning a lot about him and he is as far
left as you can probably pick a guy. Really puzzling

(31:28):
as they how she ended up with him. Other than
the rumblings of anti Semitism within the Democrat Party. Steve Belzo,
Clement Counny veteran's going to join the program. At seven forty,
Congressman Thomas Massey returns. Finally, Hill BEONADETO five file by
Judge the Paulitano colleague Sik Mohammed and the problem of torture.
That's the judge's column. We will talk about that at

(31:50):
a thirty Talk to you too if you like to
call otherwise over to the stack of stupid, not necessarily stupid,
but funny. Hurricane Debbie just up and tons of water
in the state of Florida blew in more than two
dozen packages of cocaine onto the beach in the Florida
Keys I know cord to the US Customs and Border
Patrol Miami sector. A man described his good Samarian discovered

(32:14):
the drugs and called authorities. They found seventy pounds of
cocaine that washed ashore. Found on the beach in Islamorada,
about eighty miles from Key West. This is big. You
kind of wonder if cocaine is washing up on the
shore that maybe maybe not all of it is found

(32:36):
by good Samaritans who notified the authorities. Connecticut man admitted
that he murdered his octagenarian father early in the month
in what is described as a particularly particularly disturbing fashion.
Stephen James Aricia, thirty one, is accused of one kind

(32:57):
of murder, a class A film in the corner of
the jail records Capital murder in Connecticut reserved for rare,
limited series of offenses. In this case, the defendant facing
sentences of twenty five to sixty years behind bars. Police
stay the defendant brutally killed his father over the weekend
during a domestic violence incident, then called nine to one
one to confess. Around one o'clock in the morning Saturday,

(33:23):
police arrived at the residence, medium sized town located in
foothills of Berkshire Mountains near the border with New York State.
There they found Marco Urrichio eighty three, and paramedics pronounced
the debt of the scene. Micial press release described the
crime scene in a relatively sanitized fashion as the site
of a domestic incident and said officers determined that an

said the corner of the Richfield Police Department spokesperson. Defendant
appeared in court on Monday. Police supported divulged far more
grew some details. Ricchio stated I murdered him, then paused
and stated really, really badly. Arriving officers found the defendant
outside the house with his hands already in the air

(34:05):
corner of the police report. Down on the pavement. Officers
realized the man was sweating NonStop, appeared to have blood
all over his hands, and he directed the police where
his father was. Drops of blood leading the way to
the crime scene. The elder Riccio found in the upstairs bedroom,
body lying on the ground facing the doorway. Blood also

(34:26):
on both sides of the wall. A bloody fileting knife
was at the top of the stairs.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
Dear, what the hell?

Speaker 1 (34:34):
According to the police in the report, the victim's face,
lower torso, abdomen and groin were mutilated. What appeared to
be internal organs from the above mentioned areas were on
the outside of the body. Didn't enter a pleague and
during the arraignment, defendant had to be carried inside the courtroom,

(34:57):
then once seated next to his attorney, slump forward over
the defense table and stayed there. Accord to the local
news there, Superior Judge Thomas SAIDI said, mister Riccio, I
asked you to please stand up, mister Riccio, please stand
up with the real mister Riccio, please stand up, Please
stand up. Sorry, I elaborated on that one. Joe Chris

(35:19):
Strecker's cracking up. But the prosecution of the defense asked
for a competency evaluation during the proceeding. There's a significant
mental health history here about which I'll provide additional information
to the state. That statement from defense attorney William Dale.
Judge granted the request. Police alleged Defense was taken to
the hospital over the weekend for stomach related problems and
interviewed by doctors, stating he was prescribed medication but hadn't

(35:42):
taken his pills for a month or two and admitted
to occasionally using marijuana. Slated to a peer back in
court September fourth, Eh, real quickly here, I think I
can manage one more or Maryland judge sentence a woman
to sixty one years in prison for murdering and dismembering

(36:04):
her boyfriend. Got a fiend going here Joe. Eight day trial,
Saint Mary County, Jerry and March convicted forty six year
old Michelina Desiree Goodwin of secondary and murder, use of
a firearm, the commission of a phony and the unauthorized
disposal of a body in the death of James of
Voldemir now bored Chick, who was fifty Judge and post

(36:25):
maximum sentence go to the judge. Our state's attorney. The
defendant hatous actor is shooting the victim in the back,
pales and comparison to the grewsome details after the murder.
After killing the victim, the defendant dismembered him, scattering his
remains throughout our County. In a neighboring county, the De
Sedents family reported a missing to the Maryland State Police

(36:46):
December of twenty two. Cops attorney he hadn't been seen
and heard from for ten days. Further investigation determined foul
play was involved in the disappearance. Troopers discovered body parts
throughout Saint Mary's County and nearby nearby Charles can He.
Police arrested Goodwin for murder. Also arrested a guy named
Larry Murphy as an accessory after the fact, when she

(37:11):
was planning and breaking up with the guy before he
took off for Virginia and a company vehicle. Later told
Cobbs that she and Nali Borgiek were having an argument
when she pointed a gun at him, affidable to report
the states it went off and hit him in the back,
killing him. She reportedly enlisted Murphy herself to chop up
his body and dispose of the parts. Murphy denied the involvement,
eventually indicted for accessory after the fact sentence to a

(37:32):
year in jail after Jerry foun him guilty of the charge.
Geez Weeks, just walk away makes life so much easier.
Stick around, plenty to talk about. Plus why did the
FLP endorse Landsman in jury house? We'll find that out
from Kenkober if he knows. He was not there for
the meeting. Apparently FLP President Ken Cober caught up at
six thirty. I hope he can stick around than Trump's.

Speaker 5 (37:55):
They can change your cards the twenty twenty four election.

Speaker 6 (37:58):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
This is got on fifty five KRC the talk station.
Are you dreaming about Timmy Walls? Six or six? Here?
Think about KERCD Talk stations, they answered the question who
the vic VP pick is, and people are scratching their
heads wondering if the anti Semitism that seems rampant and

(38:20):
the Democrat Party was the reason they didn't go with
these safer maybe maybe definitive decision to go with Shapiro,
who might have landed them the all critical swing state
of Pennsylvania, perhaps even securing the presidency for Kamala Harris.
Can't have a Jewish person on the ticket, apparently at
least there that's the conclusions most all are arriving at.

(38:45):
And if you can come up with a better reason,
go ahead and let me know. Because again, Minnesota has
never gone Republican since Richard Nixon in nineteen seventy two.
It's as blue as of state can be. It's blue, massive,
massive Muslim pop population in Minnesota. So is the Democrats
now moving away from their well they enjoyed such widespread

(39:10):
support among the members of the Jewish community, I mean
seventy to thirty maybe even higher than that. I saw
some statistics when I was going through this this morning,
and I've never understood because the Republicans typically known for
their support of Israel and Democrats either have support for
Israel or are neutral on the subject up until lately

(39:32):
post October seventh and the slaughter of so many innocent
Jewish people, and the result was what campus protest against Israel.
Campus protests that were pro Hamas, which is a terrorist
organization that engages in murder of innocent women and children.
Non uniformed, non combatant people just mining their own business

(39:54):
go into a concert for God's sake. Hamas comes in
and murders them, takes a bunch of hostage too. Remember
they still have some hostages. That is supported over Israel's
right to defend itself. And here we have tim Ah
Tim Waltz, who is nothing more than a cut from

(40:14):
the same chunk of cloth. Kamala Harris liberal, progressive if
you want socialist if you want late term abortion, high taxes,
sanctuary states, eligible for driver's license. He was favor of that.

(40:34):
He gave eighty one thousand illegal immigrants driver's licenses in Minnesota.
He also gave him free college under the North Star
Promise program. Folks with income under eighty thousand dollars, including
illegal immigrants, apparently get free college education. He's a green

(40:59):
New dear guy. People in Pennsylvania gotta be pissed off
about that. They generate a lot of income from the
carbon producing evil fuels that we all have to rely
on natural gas and coal, et cetera. He mandated public
utilities generate eighty percent carbon free electricity by twenty thirty

(41:19):
and one hundred percent carbon free by twenty forty. He's
a climate action guy. And again one of the most
permissive abortion statutes he signed into law in the United
States and essentially no limits and no age consideration for
minors eighth month of pregnancy. Totally viable baby both of

(41:40):
mine born in eight months. I like to remind people
in the context of this discussion, I don't care where
you are on the abortion issue unless you believe that
murdering an eight month old baby who could easily live
outside the mom's womb is appropriate and AOK. And there
you have with Tima Waltz. Minnesota also a trans refuge
state where they promised to and said they would ignore

(42:06):
a court order of the removal of the child that
is issued in another state because the child's parent or
guardian assisted in the child in receiving gender affirming care.
In Minnesota, child flees the state where it's not allowed.
Parents don't want to have that happen. A court order
is issued to bring the child back, they would ignore

(42:28):
it so the child can get surgery over the parents wishes.
Tip of the Iceberg, folks. So we see the progressive
wing the Democratic Party now firmly establish in the both
presidential choice which really wasn't a choice now was it.

(42:51):
And I would really love, you know, every once in
a while you want to crawl on the head of
somebody and just really kind of learn what their true
feelings are and how they think about the process. You know,
there's just a wealth of Democrats out there in the world.
I'd love to be able to collectively a crawl into
the collective minds and find out how they feel about
this whole Kamala Harris process in the first place, since
they rejected her completely when she was running for president

(43:13):
back in twenty twenty. She dropped out of the race
early on. She couldn't get she couldn't score in the
like single digits. Democrats didn't like her. Nonetheless, became the
vice presidential running mate because she checked a couple of

(43:34):
the right boxes, and now they're stuck with her. They
were anyway till they coot a Todd but Joe Biden,
and then she became this magical, wonderful, just all perfect candidate.
And oh my god, how happy we are that Kamala
Harris is running for president? How come you weren't happy
about the prospect back in twenty twenty And her left

(43:56):
wing record is all over the place. Defund police, open borders,
you know, that's like the number one issue in the country,
open borders, and she was the leading champion of it.
And of course Tim Waltz sanctuary state, Tim Walt's he's

(44:17):
I guess in favor of it as well. Your choices
are very clearly delineated here. I mean, there is no
question about the difference between the two. So what do
you have on one side? You have known policies. You
have four years of a presidency under Donald Trump to
know what he had planning on doing in amid all
of the pressure and distractions that were heaped down on

(44:40):
Donald Trump throughout his entire presidency, from the Russia collusion
to the interference in Ukraine, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
It was just one NonStop hearing after another talking about
how terrible. Donald Trump wasn't all these atrocities he's committed.
The January sixth thing where he didn't utter a syllable
about insurrection, He did not egg people on to go
into the White House and break things. He didn't do

(45:01):
anything like that. And a president of the United States
parenthetically also enjoys the right that he earned, or that
we all have under the First Amendment, to pretty much
say anything he damn well pleases to say. As long
as there's time for additional speech to get involved, then
you are okay, even uttering things like go out and

(45:23):
kill black people, which was the subject matter of the
Brandenburg Supreme Court decision case eminating from Ohio. The Evil
Clansman was arrested for utterances at a rally, and he
was He fought that all the way up to the
Supreme Court. Supreme Court says, no, you can say whatever
you want, basically within certain limits, as long as there's

(45:48):
time for additional speech to sort of calm people's minds
or provide alternative thoughts to going out and killing people. Well,
maybe we go a different route, mister BRADG. Donald Trump
didn't even come near saying anything like that in that
January section. Yet here we find ourselves. And can you
imagine the millions and millions and millions of dollars that

(46:12):
have been spent and continue to be spent to hunt
down and find every single human being who came within
a thousand yards of the White House that day. All
the cameras that are up and magically didn't disappear, you know,
the footage that does didn't exists for the Epstein and
the other craziness that goes on the world. I'm sorry
that got destroyed. Oh yeah, we had all those text messages,
but you know, our internal document policy required us to

(46:34):
delete them. All the shenigans we get from government all
the time, but no, not on January sixth. Everything's working,
all the cameras are working. Hey, look there's a pipe
bomb land right there. Do we investigate that? Now, let's
just ignore that and go after some old lady who
was waving a flag. All of that and the refrains

(46:56):
constantly on well, all over social media, where you will
get an alternative point of view. Not all social media
is anti Donald Trump, but literally the mainstream media in
the bag and has uttered effectively from day one. Evil
orange man, racist, big homophobes, zemophoe, blah blah, blah, blah blah.
You know, the litany of adjectives used to describe Donald

(47:17):
Trump baked into the cake so much so that rational people,
normally rationally thinking people will not want to vote for
him simply because he is Donald Trump, not because he's
bad on policy. He had great foreign policy. No war
started under Donald Trump, and of course he was negotiating
peace in the Middle East, peace in the Middle East

(47:39):
while we're watching World War three breakout before our very eyes.
A good record to run on in the face of
a woman and now a team Harris Waltz, who are
behind and in face of positions that fly in the

(48:02):
face of what most Americans want. A secure border not them,
a strong police force, safe communities not them, locking people
up who commit heinous crimes not them, A healthy foreign policy.
What's their foreign policy position? Great question that remains unknown.

(48:27):
And as I pointed out in the last hour, you
can't find any information to Kamala Harris's campaign website because
there isn't any information there. There's no information about where
she wants to take the country, no policy position, stated hell.
I noted one article talking about just that I think
was The New York Times had to go back to

(48:48):
some of her earlier statements and try to speculate right
now what her current policy positions even are. She's been
hiding for the last seventeen days, running at Joe Biden's
strategy from her basement, basically not doing press conference, not
talking with anyone. National Review hardly a bastion of conservatism.

(49:10):
The National Review, very left leaning outlet, that one senior
writer there, Noah Rothman, talking with his social media followers
yet just asking, quote, when is Kamala going to do
a press conference? The most reviewing exposure to which a
candidate can submit is a prolonged press conference. And that's
precisely what Harris needs to do. Indeed, we know that's

(49:31):
what she needs to do because it was only a
few weeks ago the Democratic political professionals and their allies
insisted that what Biden, that's what Biden had to do,
and of course Biden did. He did his debate with
Donald Trump, resulting in him being well the victim of
a coup a'tah bloodless as it was. He was chucked
out because he did go out into the world and

(49:52):
endeavor to answer questions, but was incapable of doing it?
Is that what Kamala Harris's position is, is she incapable
of doing a press conferen diference. Let's keep basking until
we get one. Got a couple of callers online. Hold on,
it's six eighteen fifty five KRCIT talk station and you

Happy Wednesday to you.

Speaker 7 (51:25):
Good morning. It's my understanding that the governor is the
commander of the States National Guard. Bank. Now, this Walls
guy during the riots following the George George Floyd murder,
refused to send the National Guard into the city to

(51:47):
you know, prevent the looting, the murdering and everything.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Else and the burning down to the police station.

Speaker 7 (51:53):
Oh yeah, yeah, okay, this guy, this guy was a
sergeant major. That's why the right hand of God as
the governor. He's also in charge of the National Guard,
and his response was he's not going to send a
bunch of nineteen year old cooks into a riot. Okay, Well,

(52:15):
number one, if you're the sergeant major, if they're a
bunch of knuckleheads, then you need to look in the
mirror and figure out why they're knuckleheads and they can't
do the damn job that they're paid to do, right,
I mean, I don't know. The guys go through basic

(52:35):
training that are National Guard people. Okay, they have extra training,
all kinds of least they did when I was in
the Army. They had all kinds of extra training and
stuff regarding riot control, crowd control, all this kind of stuff. Well,
this Walls guy is the sergeant major of the whole

(52:57):
freaking National Guard, and the commander if he's the other'nah,
if his guys and gals can't do their job, he
needs to look in the mirror. He ought to write
a check out of his pocket to all the people's
whose buildings got burnt down and everything else because he
didn't do his job.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
Well, period. I can just observe Jeff that clearly you
did not call me this morning looking for an argument,
excellent points, excellent points and plus think about it. You
know that all those members of the National Guard are
not a bunch of untrained knucklehead losers who don't know
what to do. He literally insulted all of them with
that kind of statement. Talk about a total lack of

(53:40):
respect as well as demoralizing the men and women who
serve at his under his command and at his whim
appreciated brother Stick around Ken Kober FLP President. Coming up

happens to be. She's got more than thirty five years

She can help you in any state and or Puerto Rico,

great rates at low cost, the superior customer service, and

I'd say happy Wednesday, but I don't feel like saying
happy Wednesday. I woke actually yesterday I got a text
message from my little bird friend Westside Jim Keefer. The
FOP the Fraternal Order Police Chapter sixty nine represented the
Sincinne Police Department have endorsed Greg Landsman and Denise Treehouse

(56:33):
made my jaw drop open. I'm like, can I go?
And there's no way I'm being lied to. FOP President
Ken Kobra, Welcome to the Morning Show and a very
happy Wednesday to you. What in the wide wide world
of sports is it going on here, my friend?

Speaker 9 (56:46):
Good morning, Brian. Yes, it's been interested in twenty.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
Four hours to say the least.

Speaker 9 (56:53):
So when they do these endorsements, yeah, this committee has
made up of a diverse group of people from active retires, officers,
different political feelings. Their job and what they're charged with
is to decide who to endorse based off of what
best furthers the mission of the FOP, not necessarily their

(57:15):
personal feelings.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
But what have these candidates, what have they.

Speaker 9 (57:20):
Done for the FOP or what have they said that
they're willing to do. In Greg Landsman's case, we all
know you. During twenty twenty, he certainly came out and
was no friend of the police. Right since he's been elected.
Since he's been elected, he has brought back, most recently

(57:42):
one point seven million dollars to upgrade the camera system
for Cincinnati for the downtown area. Greg Landsman signed on
to every bill that the FOP has asked him to
in a national platform.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Is that federal referring to yes? Okay, okay, So he
had to bring federal dollars in to fix a problem
the city of Cincinnati is responsible for, and that's maintaining
its own stuff and things. Am I right on that
particular point? Yeah? Okay, okay, be correct. Okay, So I
my tax dollars paid for the money that he brought

(58:20):
back because we are neglecting the store here in the city. Correct, Okay,
go ahead, I'm sorry. I just want to make sure
I was clear on that right.

Speaker 9 (58:28):
So, and this is what I encourage everybody to do.
And I was at a meeting last night this was
brought up and I said the same thing.

Speaker 10 (58:37):
When we do these endorsements, they said, these endorsements are
who we believe best works with the FOP, not necessarily
us personally.

Speaker 9 (58:47):
What I encourage everybody to do, anyway, is completely.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
Vet these candidates.

Speaker 9 (58:54):
Just because they have an FOP endorsement, they may not
be the candidate for you. They may not be the
handed it for some FOP members, and that's fine. The
problem that we have in this country is that people
are not fully vetting the candidates that they're voting for,
whether it's their party line voting or they're just saying, look,
the FOP endorses them, I'm going to vote for them,

(59:14):
or you know, the I f F or the fl CIO,
I'm just going to vote.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
For him because that's who they're endorsed by. Yeah, the
presumption is everybody. The presumption I think asked Canada I'm
starry interrupt, but that the endorsements suggest that the candidate
that received the endorsement is tough or strong on law
enforcement and tough on crime. It's the job of the
police department to arrest bad people, lock them up, and
let the prosecutor do her job here in the Hamilton County.

(59:41):
And that's why at some point we need to pivot
over to why in the hell do they endorsed dree
House over Hamilton County. Melissa prosecuted Melissa Powers, who is
very tough on crime. Then Melissa Powers was endorsed. You
did endorse Melissa Powers, absolutely, Okay, correctly, she's endorsed by
great Okay, I'm sorry I misspoke. But Thenise tree House

(01:00:04):
Camp County Commissioner, right right, I'll.

Speaker 9 (01:00:07):
Be honest with you and I'm not on this committee,
even though obviously being the president, But that one, I
have no idea that was.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
You can't point to You can't point to a paycheck
or a money that got infused in on the insidety
police apartment through Denise tree House. So you just it's
a mystery endorsement. Appreciate your candor on that one.

Speaker 9 (01:00:29):
Yeah, that one, that one to me, Like I said,
I I have I don't know why she was endorsed.
I knew, I do know she was the only county
commissioner that showed up for the endorsement process. But as
far as why she was endorsed, that's something I haven't
I haven't talked to the committee about why. But you know,
getting back to real quick, the law and order people.

Speaker 6 (01:00:49):
You look at.

Speaker 9 (01:00:50):
All of the people that were h endorsed for judges,
those are all people that you're absolutely right, are tough
on law. They're tough on crime, law and order, which
is exactly what we look for in judges when we
endorse them. When we look at politicians, it's more about
what is the mission of the FOP as far as
collective bargaining, you know, bills that they've signed off on

(01:01:13):
you know previously things.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Like that for incumbents.

Speaker 6 (01:01:16):
But I get it.

Speaker 9 (01:01:17):
I mean, it's said, it's been a rough twenty four hours.
A lot of people are very passionate about politics, which
is fantastic. But what I encourage is everybody to be
actually informed about what's going on with politics.

Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
God, I wish more people were informed. It's like a
dream of mine. Can that people paid attention to politics,
what they're what they're elected officials stood for what they're
doing for us, you know, or not at real time?
You know, weed dwellers like me who just spend their
time and immersed in politics all the time. I think
of more people immersed themselves in politics in a regular basis,
we'd all have much better elected officials. Sadly we don't

(01:01:53):
live in that world. Oh you're You're absolutely right. I
wish the same.

Speaker 9 (01:01:58):
That's why I encourage everybody, and please please fully vet
all of these people and make sure that they are
the best candidate for you. They're the ones that are
gonna best, They're gonna make your life the best. And
you know, whatever part of the city or county.

Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
You live in, jeez, ken, can I hold you over
and ask you about this. I saw you got interviewed
by Channel nineteen regarding testing for marijuana with a new
detection tool. Yeah great, because weed is now legal in
the state of Ohio. I'm kind of get your reaction
to that, what issues you might be facing along those
lines since we've had medical in the state now for
some time. But the detection tool is what I'm really

(01:02:35):
worried about are concerned about given the current status of
Ohio law, which sucks in terms of whether you're not
you're really truly impaired or not. But hold on more
with FLP President Ken Kober has been kind enough to
join the program again, which I truly appreciate. Six thirty
seven right now that you have care se the talk
station and something else, I will recommend strongly if you
got plumbing issues in your home, plumb tight plumbing. It's

(01:02:56):
always plumbing done right, the motto they live by plumbing
done right. Exceptional customer service by licensed plumbers who are
experts at what they do, quoting you fair and ethical pricing,
and never trying to say you anything you don't need.
Call them. They'll let you know when they're coming over.
I love the fact that they will give you that
advanced notice. So many others just give you a window
and you're left guessing, well, you'll get a window. But

(01:03:18):
when they're on their way, they give you a phone
call in advance. Hey man, I'm about fifteen minutes out.
Whatever the case may be, they will arrive. They will
establish that exceptional customer service, assessing your plumbing job and
giving you a free quote, and for whatever reason, you
don't hire them. I can't imagine that being the case,
considering how great they are. No service charge. You're not
going to get charged for work that's not done. You're

(01:03:38):
not going to get a mileage charge tacked onto the bill.
I'm going to give you fair and ethical quote from
little projects, maybe just fixing a faucet or a toilet,
Leaky pipes, water heaters, some pumps, backed up basements, low
water pressure. Call them up. They do great work. They
are masters of their trade. Plumb Tight dot com t

Iron News, the return of Brigana Morello. Though the Brehanna
Morello podcast. Who in the hell is Tim Watas? In
the meantime, I know who came cober is. He's the
president of the FOP Chapter sixty nine, represented the CINCINNTI
Police Department, And they just came out with their endorsements,

(01:04:22):
and real quick here before we pivot over to the
marijuana testing, why no sheriff endorsement?

Speaker 9 (01:04:30):
So the bottom line is, if that committee does not
reach a fifty one percent threshold, then they don't endorse anybody.
I know that there was a lot of discussion that
was had about who they wanted to endorse and whether
they were going to endorse anybody. In the bottom line
is they couldn't come to an agreement, so we endorse nobody.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
I find that a little troubling in and of itself. Anyhow,
I can see politically seeking if you don't endorse the
current sheriff and the current sheriff remains in office, that
it might rub people the wrong way and it might
hurt the relationship between the sinsint Police Department of the
Hamilon County Sheriff's Department. I'd like to think cooler heads
would prevail in the name of protecting the community. But

(01:05:15):
we'll just let that one lie. They're giving your answer
on that one. Ken, hate to put you in a corner,
but that's the reality of where we stand right now.
Moving over to marijuana. It's legal in Ohio. Standing around
the corner waiting to buy it, Ken, I guess everybody's
really happy about legalized weed. But you can't get high
and drive. But detecting people who are high behind the
wheel is a lot more difficult than it is for
people who are drunk. You got a breathalyzer. It tests

(01:05:37):
the actual alcohol volume. And to my litigation friends out
there who do defenses of OVII, I know all the
problems associated with the breathalyzer test. Don't get me going,
but it does provide in most cases an accurate level
of alcohol. Under Ohio law, if you are over point
zero eight percent, you are considered legally drunk, whether or

(01:05:57):
not you can walk a straight line or not that
are impaired. What about weed, It's virtually impossible to detect
for weed unless you're staggering all over the place with
the sort of a field sobriety test. But that doesn't
always work, does it.

Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
No, it certainly doesn't. You know, with this new testing
that they have, you know, it becomes a lot less intrusive.
If you have somebody that you believes under the influence of,
you know, whether it's a recreational drug or a prescription drug,
you really only have two options to determine whether or
not they're impaired under what the state law says as

(01:06:33):
a per se level. And the only way to do
that is take them to the hospital and get their
blood or ask them to pee in a cup, you know.
So what the state representatives they're trying to do is
give us a third option, which is basically a mouth swab.
Then they can send off to a lab and within
twenty four hours they'll have the results. And it's not

(01:06:55):
just the results of the metabolite. Under this testing system
that's used I think in twenty four states currently Michigan
being the closest one to us, this will actually give
you the amount of the parent gene of what is
in that person's system at.

Speaker 1 (01:07:13):
That time, the actual THHC level.

Speaker 9 (01:07:17):
Yes, so they do it tests for other drugs, not
just marijuana.

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
Okay, Now, during that twenty four hour period, because one
of my listeners asked, well, what do they do, they
take your car away from you. Well, I mean this
are you what's the status while that test that you're
waiting around for it to come back. What does the
police officer do with the person whose mouth they swabbed?

Speaker 9 (01:07:37):
Well, in order to be able to test somebody for
you know, whether it's whether it's a urine test, a
breath test, a blood test, they have to already be
under arrest. So under under the law for ov I,
there is an A one A section which is the
officers observations and their experience and their training says that

(01:07:57):
you are too impaired to be driving, so you're already
going to be arrested.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
And then what the test does is it.

Speaker 9 (01:08:04):
Confirms what the officers suspicions are now having done. OVIS
a long long time ago. In my career, we have
had instances, and I've had them myself where you'll have
someone who is not a quote unquote experienced drinker, who
could be falling down drunk, throwing up all over themselves,

(01:08:25):
trying to drive a car and do field tests. They
can't stand straight, they can't walk straight, and then you
go in and you test them and they're under the
legal limits that they're Yeah, Does it mean that they're
not impaired to be driving, Well, absolutely not. All it
says is they're under the per se level. And you,
I mean, officers routinely get convictions still without them being

(01:08:48):
over what the per se level is.

Speaker 7 (01:08:50):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
Unfortunately, now all this is documented on video. You've got
video camera evidence confirming what the officers observe. I'm comfortable
with that, but it's it's essentially a probable cause level.
There has to be some evidence of impairment before they
can haul you in and get you a blood test
or urine test or alternatively in this case, there has
to be probable cause that they can even swab you

(01:09:12):
or get a urine test from you. Right, you have
to demonstrably be demonstrably impaired.

Speaker 6 (01:09:17):
Sure.

Speaker 9 (01:09:18):
Yeah, it's not like you just swab them and go, hey,
we'll call you.

Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
Into exactly, okay. And I think that's a legitimate concern
among the members of the community, like, well, what are
they You're just gonna go around swabbing everybody they pull over. No,
you have been pulled over for an of fence weaving
or a wreck or whatever the case may be. That's
the predicate to determine whether you're impaired, and then if
you are determined to be impaired on the scene based
upon observations, then the follow up takes place. I appreciate

(01:09:44):
that absolutely well. You know, in the state of Ohon
you probably know all about this ken having done it
so often. Currently they do a blood test for this.
But if you smoked a joint two weeks ago or
sometimes even a month ago, the broken down version of
THHG that is in your body, it shows that you've
smoked weed, but it does not mean you are impaired. Nonetheless,

(01:10:05):
in the law in the state of Ohio, the law
says you can still be convicted of OBI just because
it's floating around in your body. I mean, I just
find that to be absolutely outrageous.

Speaker 9 (01:10:17):
Now, I completely agree with you. They're gonna have to
find out a way that they can test for at
that moment, YO, are they impaired? Because you're absolutely right.
You know, you can have somebody who clearly is not
impaired that under the per se level currently would be
considered impaired under the law, and that to me, you're
absolutely right, is it's absurd if that's where we're at. However,

(01:10:40):
you also have to factor in. You know, if a
policeman stops you and you smoked a joint two weeks ago,
if you're not showing any signs of impairment, the likelihood
of an officer getting you out of the car and going, hey,
I need you to pee in this cup because I
think you smoke weed two weeks ago.

Speaker 7 (01:10:54):
It's just not gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (01:10:56):
Okay, but it could, But you're absolutely right, it could
well could.

Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
Let's just say you are an idiot who goes around
smoking weed in your car all the time. Your car
has an odor inherent to uh, the the the regular
smoking of weed in the car, but you're not impaired.
If the office sticks his head in your window, he's
gonna smell weed in there. That would provide a foundation
to do the swab, wouldn't it.

Speaker 9 (01:11:22):
If they if they've developed probable cause to be able
to rescue for ov I, they could do to swap. Now,
this is the one, the one time where I'll tell
you that it could come up without even showing a
sign of impairment. Would be routinely with serious and fatal crashes,
are traffic king, it comes out because someone's been killed
in an action right, or they're critically injured. It's not

(01:11:43):
uncommon for them to ask for voluntary samples. Yo, So
you could be in your in you know, thinking, you know,
I'm I'm the victim of this crash, or I'm not
at fault for this. You know, I have nothing to hide. Yeah,
I'm gonna give a voluntary sample because I know I
didn't do anything wrong, right, And then all of a
sudden they realize, ooh, I smoked weed a couple of
weeks ago. So that's where this could potentially come into play.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
Right, which I think probably your OVI lawyers who specialize
in this, would recommend you not voluntarily do that if
you have smoked weed in the at least somewhat recent past.
Probably not a good idea. I'll tell you what, Ken,
it has been great having you on the show today,
answering these questions and well satisfying our curiosity. Anyway. I

(01:12:29):
appreciate your willingness to do so on short notice, and
I thank you for all that you do. And we all,

Speaker 11 (01:15:08):
Good morning, pleasure to be with you too.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
We're having fun with a tennah sound by of Late Yeah.
So here he is, Tim Waltz, I seemingly out of nowhere.
I really, really really thought the Democrats would be smarter
about this. Not that I'm disappointed that they went with
Tim Waltz, considering he's cut from the same chunk of
socialist cloth that Kamala Harris is but Governor Josh Shapiro
was far more moderate. Pennsylvania is a desperately needed, all

(01:15:33):
critical to win the presidential election swinging state, and going
with Josh Shapiro might have secured that. Although it seems
that Democrats have been overrun by anti Semitism and anti
Israeli sentiment generally speaking, and ergo Kamala Harris goes with
a safe choice, which is the socialist Tim Waltz if
I got.

Speaker 11 (01:15:53):
That wrong, yeah, I know it's spot on, and it's
unfortunate to see play out. But again, you know, I
think there's a bigger issue here. I think Democrats have
a plan in place. You just pick two of the
worst candidates and put them on the same picket. You're
not going to win independent voters over with any of
these individuals, that's for sure. But why they don't care?

(01:16:13):
I think that's the point here that I'm kind of
focused on right now. You know, we're talking about a
guy who literally shut down, destroyed small businesses, allowed the
CLM riots to burn down small businesses as well, didn't
do anything to protect them, literally had no care for
any of this, and now, for some reason, they think
they could run home for Vice President, I would say

(01:16:35):
this to your audience. I know that there's a couple
of lawsuits pending right now for the RNC to protest
voting in our country. I know America First Legal just
filed a massive lawsuits in Maricopa County in regard to
the illegal aliens they put on their voter registration. But
I strongly believe at this point that Democrats are banking
on election fraud rather than their actual candidates, because to

(01:16:58):
be as embolden as it is to put these people
on a ticket together tells us everything that you know,
Like you just detailed Pennsylvania. They need to win Pennsylvania,
and by not picking Shapiro's that puts them at rest
of that wedding and it doesn't make any sense. And again,
Jewish Americans are watching this as well and just realize
that their candidate just got not even their candidate, but

(01:17:18):
the candidate was rejected because he was Jewish. And now
you've just lost that vote as well. So they've just
lost independent voters, lost the Jewish voting so much more.

Speaker 1 (01:17:27):
Now, well look what they have. By way of background,
Jamal Bowman out, he got lawt he lost the primary.
Obviously an uber progressive anti Israeli squad member. And then
yesterday Corey Bush got chucked out of the primary. She
is no I mean, and another one who is absolutely
anti Israel. So those are two people, again from the

(01:17:48):
far left wing of the of the of the Democrat Party,
who are no longer even going to be in office,
replaced by moderate candidates.

Speaker 11 (01:17:58):
Yeah, yeah, I mean you're thinking understand that, And that's
that's another point. I mean, it's just it's just it's
so obvious that those that are still remaining registered Democrats
are not willing to go that far left with these people. Uh,
and for some reason they're they're just not giving up
on it. And to me, that just that speaks volumes
at this point. I don't understand why they would allow this.

(01:18:18):
You know, Kamala Harrison being selected as a Democratic nomination,
had not done a single interview, has not done a
single unscripted Q and a session with the media.

Speaker 6 (01:18:28):
Uh.

Speaker 11 (01:18:28):
They're they're hard, they're hunting her and I did it
with Joe and they were able to get away with them.
And this is the problem that we have is that
we've allowed them to get away with all of this.
We've allowed them to continue on at this page. The
media pretends when when you know President Trump, so Karen
does like these these black journalists, you know, press conferences
and meet and greets and stuff. It takes these or

(01:18:50):
goat q and as they're so critical of him when
he's taking these questions live and taking them just unscripted.
They're so critical of him. Then all of a sudden,
all of these media outlets suddenly the mute when it's
time for Kamala do it. Kamala has done it when
Joe Biden's time to do it, and Joe Body's got
to do it. So it's just it's outrageous. I also

(01:19:12):
want to highlight two. You know, as soon as they
pick Kamala, who's the most unlikable candidate, we know that
through her old twenty twenty primary, right, they all gathered
around her and were very, very supportive of her, and
we're like, wow, there's this new wave of hope. They
did it for Barack Obama too, they did it for
Joe Bias. They build up a stake, the fake support

(01:19:34):
around these candidates, and it makes it seem like they're
likable when you and I both know, I mean, talk
to people who are not like you and I who
are not conservative, and they're not going to be as
excited as the media is in regards to Kamala Harris,
like I promise you that they're just creating a fake
it's fake. It's just it feels like, it feels like
it's think well organized, and it's just fake support for

(01:19:56):
a candidate that nobody really.

Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
Wanted well, as demonstrated by twenty twenty wh Kamala Harris
dropped out because she couldn't get a single Democrat to
vote for he or even consider her. That's the mind
blower right there, because she is a woman of color.
She checked the two boxes. She was made vice president
to run with Joe Biden. I guess they weren't thinking
about the next step phase two, like, well, what happens
if Biden can't make it? Are we stuck with her?

(01:20:19):
And that was in We're stuck with her mode there
until they finally coop to Todd Joe Biden and annointed
Kamala Harris as the best thing since slice bread in
spite of her miserable record. Now they're trying to paint
over the miserable record with her being quiet and not
providing any discussion or opportunities to Q and a. This
is day seventeen of basically Joe Biden's hiding the basement strategy.

(01:20:41):
One would think you could pivot over to the vice
or to Kamala Harris's web page to get some information
about what her party platform is, what she's in favor
of or not. You go there, it's nothing. No economic plans,
no strategy, no outline like you'll find on Donald Trump's
site about what he plans on doing. It's as if
they're just trying to hide everything.

Speaker 11 (01:21:03):
Yeah, yeah, no, they are. They and they're going to
get a live with it. I mean, the problem is,
and thankfully most most you know, your audience no longer
trust the corporate media. But these corporate media outlets are
not being honest and are not being true to the journalism.
And so what you're saying is you're saying that when
they do have access, because specifically I will never have

(01:21:25):
access to get probably thin six feet of Kamala Harris
asked her a tough question, But they do have it,
and they won't ask those questions. But then they'll play
journalists when the President Trump gets them access, and they'll
ask those questions about the economy, about his plans for
the economy. They won't ask them all of that. There
was a SoundBite too of Kamala detailing inflation. She's asked specifically,

(01:21:48):
what is the administration's plans to combat inflation? And she
gave about a four minute word salad that had nothing
to do with what the plan was. There was no plan,
and so she just kept fying time and trying to
hire her word count. I guess, and so the SoundBite.
I put it up my Twitter page. You're gonna love this.
I'll put it on my colour. Paige and some loser

(01:22:11):
reporter he's a self claim reporter from snooks, which is
apparently a left leaning fact checking website, wrote me and
asked me if I if I was aware that this
sound bite was cut down by three minutes, and I'm like,
absolutely it was. It's called news media. We don't have
four minutes to sit here and listen to your satellite.
But he wanted to see if I was an awful
white audience of correction because I didn't play this full

(01:22:31):
clip of her.

Speaker 7 (01:22:32):
But if you.

Speaker 11 (01:22:32):
Actually listen to the full clip, it even works. She
doesn't answer the question, and so it's just the people
who are dealing with right, they want to retend they
have some type of credibility when it comes to Holy
wild on the right accountable, but then their own candidates themselves,
they don't have any of that. So I think it's
me closer to November, I think it's important for everyone
to kind of Number one, figure out ways to get

(01:22:53):
involved with your election process locally. There's different tools that
you guys could use that I would highly recommend utilizing.
I know I talk about it quite often on my show.
And number two, I would also just tell people that
don't normally politically agree with you, but in like the
prom not combative way right and see where their heads
are at, because I think a lot of people are
not happy with's how expensive things have gotten under Joe Biden,

(01:23:15):
and people need to realize there's.

Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
A reason for that, yeah, and that that that reality
does not bear a political stripe. I mean, there are
a lot of people that claim to be best served
by the Democrats, you know, people on life's margins, those
in poverty, and those who believe that you know, Lyndon
Johnson was great because of the Great Society programs and
the welfare that was created and generated on that. Boy.
But for government, I couldn't get all that. They're the

(01:23:38):
ones that are dealing with inflation and having deal having
to deal with the grocery bill, and it's impacting them
more than anybody. Thank you very much for the Democrat
policies pumping in countless trillions and trillions of printed dollars
into an already overheated economy. Guess what inflation?

Speaker 9 (01:23:53):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
Any economists will tell you that, yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:23:57):
Yeah, And what was that a speak to at the
global market as well? What that's done to our stock market?
With Japan everything, it's been it's been crazy, I mean,
but they don't even have a plan to figure this out.
They don't even have an expert to talk about this
and figure this out. And Kamala Harris doesn't know anything
about the economy. She didn't know anything. And you could
just listen to her topic. She has no idea what
she's saying. She doesn't how her economy functions. But you know,

(01:24:17):
politics is the only industry or if you're looking to
sail up, you'll thrive. So that's where Tamarla Harris is
at this point, and it's really upsetting to see. Also,
another good point too, is Walls had the most COVID
nineteen deaths in nursing homes. But he was another one
of those those rogue governors who wanted to just continue

(01:24:37):
to put COVID nineteen patients in nursing homes, even though
we knew the only fact we need during the pandemic
that the elderly was the most vulnerable, and he allowed
them all to be put into the nursing homes and
killed off a ton of you know, the most vulnerable people.
And you know, want us to wonder why they did that,
because again, it was the only fact that we did
now at the time, and we were an electioneer. I mean,

(01:24:58):
it's the only couple of thoughts that pop.

Speaker 1 (01:25:00):
But my mind, well, and I know, the Democrats keep
trying to make abortion a federal level question, and you know,
as a lawyer, I keep having to remind people that
read the damned Supreme Court case over ruling Roe, it
is no longer an issue of federal consequence. They cannot
vote anything on it. It's not within the enumerated powers

(01:25:22):
that the Constitution talks about. It's a tenth Amendment thing.
It's the state issue. So pivoting over the state Waltz
resides in a state that has one of the most
liberal abortion policies on the planet. You can get late
term abortions there. And I know the vast majority of Americans,
even those who are in favor of some form of abortion,
nobody wants to kill a viable baby. Brandon Marina, both

(01:25:43):
my daughter and son were born at eight months of pregnancy,
came out hitting the ground running, very healthy and happy.
And I know that's a viable baby there. It's court
in Minnesota.

Speaker 6 (01:25:52):
You can kill it.

Speaker 11 (01:25:55):
Yeah, that's how disgusting it is. I think it high
likes the evil these people's hearts. I think that's really
what it does, because the fact that you could advocate
for that is discussing in itself. Now, they always want
to you to be excuse the one percent, excuse of
sexual sexual assault or you know, medical issues, so you
can have it killed.

Speaker 1 (01:26:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:26:18):
Yeah, well that's the thing too, And it never makes
any sense. And I know many incredible women who were
told by their doctors that that their lives were at
risk that they carry out the baby full term, and
they did so anyway, and everything was fine. And so
when we sit here and talk about this, I think
most women can make their own decisions, but also in
a lot of these states, and when we pass on
these issues through faith, they do make these exemptions for women,

(01:26:41):
so that there are these these exemptions. There's really no
justification behind any of this besides the fact that they're
just baby loving a baby killing loving people. I mean,
there's just no other explanation for it. For it, most
women who are sane and well and care for their
their their baby do not want anything to do with that.
And so it's very strange to me that they've advocated for.

Speaker 1 (01:27:00):
All of this and have brought it to this point well,
and it is worth observing before we've heard Company Brown Moreno,
a host of the Brianna Moreno Show, which you can
find again on those various social media outlets Twitter, Rumble,
you two, I suggest you follower. Like all those other
people have done. Minnesota is not in play. It has
never voted for a Republican since nineteen seventy two and
it went for Nixon. It's been Democrat ever since. So

(01:27:22):
what they've got here is the guy from a state
that isn't in play and the appearance of a no
on the more qualified, more beneficial candidate in Shapiro in
a state that is critical, probably because he's Jewish. I mean,
that's really what this boils down to. By all objective
political measures, he Shapiro was the better choice.

Speaker 11 (01:27:46):
Yeah. I really want a leaker to come out from
Shapiro's team at this point and say what he was
told when they told him he was not going to
be the VP pick. So I think that's telling it
itself because you have to come up with an excuse
to validate this. And Kamalino, I mean, if she takes
an organic interview through real journalists, they're going to ask
that specific question, See, why didn't you pick Shapiro. There's

(01:28:09):
no excuse for it. There's literally no excuse besides the
fact that he's Jewish. And so it's interesting to see.
I guess, you know, Pennsylvania voters need to realize something.
I mean, between that and then between the fact that
she said that she wants to just band drilling. Yeah,
so there's really zero reasons in vote for this woman.
Oh yeah, They've got no excuse.

Speaker 1 (01:28:28):
He's right in her wheelhouse when it comes to Green
New Deal stuff. He's an anti fracking, anti carbon production.
He wants to go completely green carbon neutral energy production
in Minnesota by twenty third or by eighty twenty thirty
percent by twenty forty. So yeah, he's a green new
deal guy at Pennsylvanians pay attention because you guys need
a lot of money and most of it or a

(01:28:49):
lot of it comes from fracking as well as cole
Rihanna Murray now, always a wonderful thing. Heaving you on
the program. I'll strongly recommend my listeners check you out
online to the various social media out Let's see you're
on and it's easy to find or just type in
Brianna Morello and you will. Thanks Brianna for coming on

forward to another discussion with you real soon.

Mostly cloudy with isolated showers today. I have eighty one
down to sixty seven overnight, which is a few clouds.
Eighty eight with isolated afternoon showers. Tomorrow under partly cloudy skies.
Seventy overnight low with a few clouds on Friday, partly
Sunday day with a slight chance of showers and storms.
Eighty six right now, seventy forty degrees. Let's hear about
traffic conditions from Chuck Ingram.

Speaker 8 (01:30:48):
From the UCLF Traffic Center. Nearly sixty percent of Americans
waiting on an organ. Transplanner for multicultural communities give the
Gift of Life. Sign up today to be an organ donor.
I'm getting reports of an ansley what's found on the
Reagan Highway near Ridge. I'm not seeing a huge delay
as of yet. Better news sath Pound seventy five. They
cleared the problems in the cut near twelfth Street. No

(01:31:10):
longer a delay out of downtown northbound seventy five is
filling in buttermilk to Kyle's Chuck Ingram on fifty five
KRS the talk.

Speaker 1 (01:31:18):
Station here think about krsity talk station listener lunch Wednesday,
Jim and Jackson the River about eleven thirty. You can
feel free to show up sort of within the margins
of reasonableness. I'm usually are there till at least about
one thirty, maybe two, especially since I'm playing cribage today
with my submarine or friend Cribbage Mike. But a lot
of folks going to be there, including my next guest

(01:31:40):
or my caller, next caller west Side Jim, Welcome back,
my friend. Good to hear from you this morning.

Speaker 6 (01:31:45):
Hi, Brian, I know I only have a couple of minutes.
Joe should be putting a nice, nice retort from Dan
Hills in front of you pretty soon.

Speaker 1 (01:31:54):
I already read it on the support.

Speaker 6 (01:31:56):
Isn't that incredible? As Dan came out, I mean, my god,
I mean, if you could read this on the air,
it's unreal.

Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Yeah. It's in support the Blue in since the website
for the Sinsint Police Department, and it is a scathing
indictment of the FOP endorsement of Greg Landsman and all
the reasons why it was a terrible endorsement. He outlines
them very well in that post.

Speaker 6 (01:32:23):
I mean, the stick up for ken Ken has only
been in there a short time. He's not on that
nineteen Hunter Club, he is not in that interview process,
so he goes by what the interview process what they
do is that's basically handing who they endorse. So these
twelve people should have done their homework and checked into

(01:32:44):
exactly what Dan Hills has put out, and maybe it
would have changed. I guarantee if they'd have read this.
Even the Liberals that are on that nineteen Hunter Club
could not have voted for Greg Landsman. I mean, that's
how big this thing is. Scathing on how bad he
was when he was here locally, and he has not
done in Washington anything to help the cops.

Speaker 1 (01:33:07):
Well. He ken Ken mentioned him getting one point seven
million dollars in federal tax dollars to help fix the cameras,
which he agreed with me. That's part of the city's infrastructure.
The city should have had those cameras fixed, and the
city should have allocated resources to well maintain and up
keep the stuff. That's already bought and paid for, instead

(01:33:28):
of chasing after shiny objects like they always do. So anyway,
so Landsman has to go to Washington and and wrangle
federal dollars to come back to help patch a hole
in the City of Cincinnati's infrastructure. I'm sorry, man, That
just frankly, and I'll be bold with my statement, that
just pisses me off.

Speaker 6 (01:33:49):
Well, Brian, remember infrastructure railroad?

Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (01:33:55):
Yeah, I mean, come on.

Speaker 6 (01:33:56):
All he did is pushed to be allocated out of
that at one point six billion dollars that he didn't
do anything. All he did is they came to him
in Washington and said, hey, you're a Democrat, what do
you want, right? And I guarantee that's how it worked.

Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
Yeah, and one hand washes another. We know how democracy means.
Greg Landsman had to vote federal taxpayer dollars for the
other Democrats that gave him what he wanted so they
could get what they wanted. That's the way that government
exactly exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:34:25):
And then I just really respect Dan Hills when this
came out yesterday, Like when I sent you that text,
I also asked Dan if he could find out any
information for me on how and why that they had
voted for this, and he said he would look into it. Well,
and he doesn't have to. He just explained to me
everything that's on here. I know a lot of these

(01:34:45):
people that are on that. There will be some of
them at lunch today because they there's four retired gentlemen
that hang it, Jim and Jacks and I talked to
him last week and they are not the Landsman tight people.
They a are totally in the same camp that you
and I are. So we'll see because Lambsman, you know,

(01:35:07):
he's not going to be at something like this. Even
if he was in town, he would not come to
one of our events or your event. So let's let's
just see what happens to day at lunch and if
if there's any chance that Orlando can can talk to
them and find out why he didn't get you know,
the fifty percent plus one. I'd be surprised now the Neil,

(01:35:27):
the Neil kind of that that was a cop out.
I I don't not not.

Speaker 1 (01:35:32):
You know, yeah, I'd I think that was politically motivated.
They just don't want to rub law enforcement is the
wrong way because they may have to be.

Speaker 6 (01:35:44):
But she has done nothing to fix that jail until
now because it's an election year. Fixing the windows putting
new locks on. She could have done that two years
ago when the windows were being knocked out by batteries
out of the laptops. But now she does it and
he comes up on all the news. So this is
all BS political sway.

Speaker 1 (01:36:03):
If you want to call it that, well, you get
no argument for me on that one. Jim, I will
see you.

Speaker 6 (01:36:08):
I just like what Dan Hill say. That's basically why
push show to push up for you.

Speaker 1 (01:36:13):
I will go ahead and read it since you requested
me and let my listeners know exactly what you're talking about.
And Orlando said he was going to come to lunch.
I think that's still the case today. You'll be there right,
Yes it is, Yes it is.

Speaker 6 (01:36:24):
I talked to his campaign person about ten minutes ago
and he's definitely going to be there.

Speaker 1 (01:36:29):
Great, So meet Orlando Son's at lunch today. Jim Neil
said he was going to be there. I haven't heard
anything from Hamilton County prossecut and Melissa Powers, although I
didn't reach out to her directly, but I keep suggesting
that maybe it'd be a great thing if she can
come so if somebody knows her it can get word
to her people. She is welcome out lunch. I'll look
forward to seeing in a few hours there west side. Jim,
appreciate the call. You mean to read that right now? Joe? Okay, yes, Jay,

(01:36:52):
if you don't mind hanging on, I've got to read this.
So we're in context from Dan Hills, retired president. From
the retired former FOP president quote the Cincinnati's fop's decision
to endorse Greg Landsman, despite Landsman's clear and destructive history
of anti police action, was an active of ignorance and
disrespect to our law enforcement officers. It flies directly in

(01:37:13):
the face of all the hard working men and women
who have made this selfless sacrifice to protect our city
from those who wish to do us harm. I cannot
more strongly urge the FOP leadership to rescind its endorsement
of Landsman and instead endorse Orlando Sanza, who's been unwavering
in his support of the police. Greg Landsman has demonstrated
on countless occasions that protecting our police officers and emboldening

(01:37:35):
them to do their jobs as something he is unconcerned with.
In fact, his history on this matter shows that he
has actively tried to subvert both the Cincinnati Police departments
and law enforcement around the country's ability to protect citizens
from crimes. For example, first, he introduced a plan to
take two hundred thousand dollars away from the CINCINNT Police

(01:37:56):
Department while the CPD was short staff for police officers.
The money would instead go to an independent organization that
investigates complaints against the police department. Two, as a city councilman,
Greg Landsman voted to take nine point four million dollars
away from the new Police District five headquarters to fund
an unrelated infrastructure project. Third point, in June twenty twenty,

(01:38:18):
Landsmen voted to remove about one million dollars of a
proposed increase with the police department in order to fund
quote other supportive programs close quote. These are just a
small number of measures Greg Landsman directly supported that are
opposed to the Cincinni Police and its officers. It is
the duty of lawmakers to embolden and protect our law
enforcement officers to keep our cities safe and clean. Landsman

(01:38:40):
has done the opposite. Orlando sanzas someone who has served
in the United States Army and has an assistant prosecutor
in the Hamilton County understands the sacrifice our law enforcement
officers make. Greg Landsman does not the decision by the
since an FOP to endorse Landsman is a spit in
the face at best, or an active content ampt at

(01:39:00):
worse towards the selfless and courageous men and women who
sacrifice every day to keep us safe. Signed Daniel Hills,
retired CPD sergeant and former FOP president. Well stated, Well
stated seven thirty six fifty five KRC the talk station,

Fifty five KRSD talk Station, A very very very happy
Wednesday to you. I just found out something that makes
it even more happy, not just because retired Sergeant Major
Steve Belzo's in here to tell my veteran friends about
the Emergency Financial Assistant program and welcome back from the
Cooma County veterans. Steve. Good to see you in studio.
I literally just found out former Anderson Township Trusty Andrew Pappis,

(01:41:35):
who brought in World War Two veteran Frank Wetton Camp
last week, which was just a delight for me and
I got so many comments about the discussion I had
with Frank. He's just just a hell of a guy.
Frank's going to be a listener lunch today. I am
so looking forward to seeing Frank. In addition, everybody else
is going to show up. But sorry Westside, Jim U
and Orlando Sonza and Jim Neil, you just fell down

(01:42:00):
one notch in the priority list. So Frank Wetten camp
at listener Lunch today, ninety seven years young, and you'll
get enjoyed talking to him and meeting him. So, Steve,
we got any Uh. It's great heavy and Clement County
Veterans Service Commission helping veterans out throughout the year get
your benefits from the VA, navigate the challenges dealing with paperwork,
but also financial assistance. And in these trying times, Lord

(01:42:22):
knows a lot of folks out there, including non veterans,
could use some financial assistance. Let's talk about this, Steve.

Speaker 12 (01:42:27):
Yeah, absolutely, thanks for having me bro.

Speaker 1 (01:42:30):
You know me, it's always a pleasure.

Speaker 2 (01:42:32):
And I don't think any of that group you mentioned
with a World War two vet coming in is going
to mind sitting down for a moment to hear from
this gentleman.

Speaker 12 (01:42:40):
Who has wisdom from the past to share with us.

Speaker 1 (01:42:42):
Yeah. I normally we don't do any speeches, but see
Jim and Jackson. The river where we're going to be
today has a stage and quite often Smithman and I
have him get the mic outs and Smithlman's coming today
and he'll probably say a few words. So there may
be an opportunity to put Frank up there. But I'm
not making any promises. But you can walk up to
Frank and shake hands with him and talk with him,
and he will be more than pleased to talk with you.

(01:43:03):
He's just a delight to be around.

Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
Not many from that generation or left. If you have
an opportunity to get.

Speaker 1 (01:43:08):
Out and meet him, I know there is truth.

Speaker 12 (01:43:11):
So I segued, I apologize.

Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
Emergency financial assistance, And you're right, who in these times
doesn't need just a little bit of help?

Speaker 1 (01:43:19):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:43:20):
There are many that are doing they're doing okay, but
there's always some that just need I need a little help.
Sometimes it's wisdom, sometimes it's counsel. Sometimes it comes in
financial assistance.

Speaker 1 (01:43:33):
Good Point Emergency.

Speaker 2 (01:43:34):
Financial Assistance Ohio Revice Code fifty nine oh one explains
how this program runs. It is for an unforeseen event
something we know life. It just surprised me. It hit
me from behind. Had no idea this was happening. And
there's no way I can continue on for my family

(01:43:54):
unless I have this little bit of support. And that's
what we do. It's a safety net in a sense.

Speaker 1 (01:43:59):
Real quick, that's a quick example of an item like
someone would face. I mean, immediately, I thought of the
tornado went through the neighborhood. My roof got pulled off
the house, and I don't have the money to replace
the roof, and I don't have insurance or you know whatever.
A hot water heater, I mean, I like that.

Speaker 2 (01:44:16):
Two quick ones for you. One of them's a spouse
of a former POW veteran who had passed. The spouse
is on oxygen. She's in her late probably mid mid
to late eighties, right, so we know medical issues happened.
I've got oxygen tanks, I've got this, I've got that.
And her HVAC goes out in the middle of July.

(01:44:37):
Oh lord, okay, she goes out to get a couple
of quotes. Companies are coming back fifteen hundred to five
thousand dollars to trouble shoot her HVAC system. Meanwhile she's
on oxygen trying to survive this stuff. Called a good
friend of mine, Mike Trouble's got at school out there
on Beachmont Road, and Mike says, this is on the
third of July.

Speaker 12 (01:44:58):
Brian.

Speaker 2 (01:44:58):
He says, I'm gonna send my senior technician and one
of the students and we're gonna go troubleshoot the system.
They went out, Trouble shot the system. The next day,
on what Independence Day, fourth of July, his senior instructor
and his student go out to the lady's house and
they recreate a soldering weld on a copper tube, recharge

(01:45:22):
the system, and she's going live with ac Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:45:25):
That's beautiful, man.

Speaker 2 (01:45:26):
Fifteen hundred and five thousand dollars to fifty cents of
soldering and a little bit of time. But those are
the hearts of great people in America that you can
just reach out to for little help. Now, was that
emergency financial assistance, No, But sometimes it's having the network
of people in your community that you can reach out to.

Speaker 1 (01:45:44):
And that's what the Klaimont County Veteran Services does. They
have that network available and they know to whom to
turn that under any given crisis. So it's pausele bring
Stee back and talk about more details on this. Well.
I mentioned Lean NAROLLC, the business consultants in Lean NAROLLC.
They've been Fortune five they were at Fortune five hundred
companies for decades and decades, so they know that every business,

Speaker 1 (01:47:31):

Speaker 1 (01:47:47):
Seven fifty THIOK about KRC de talk station Brian Thomas
Hear with Klamont County Veteran Service Commission retired Sergeant Major
Steve Belzo talking about the Emergency Financial Assistance Program, Right,
you gave us a great illustration of how this works
in practice. Is you have the resources, you have the
connections with the Claremont County veteran services to hook say
that woman up with someone that you're familiar with. It

(01:48:08):
would fix her air conditioning at for fifty cents versus
five thousand dollars, which is wonderful. What are the other
parameters for this EF this Emergency Financial Assistance Program the
e FA? You know, what are the eligibility requirements? Basically?

Speaker 12 (01:48:21):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (01:48:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:48:22):
When we're talking about eligibility requirements, Brian, they need to
be a Clermont County resident of at least ninety days
and you have to establish that. Bring me a bill,
bring me duke energy showing me that you have an
established resident in Claremont County for ninety days.

Speaker 1 (01:48:37):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
With that establishment then becomes I need a copy or
we need the copy of you're DD two fourteen. Typically
we already know you if you're Claremont County resident. Sure
d D two fourteen is your discharge.

Speaker 1 (01:48:50):
Charge pay papers?

Speaker 12 (01:48:51):
Right and on?

Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
There is a character of service the character of service
needs to be honorable and discharge honorable discharge, that's what
we call it. So with an honorable discharge, Claremont County
resident of ninety days, we then can bring in your
case and discuss it with you.

Speaker 12 (01:49:07):
It's paperwork to be filled out. You need to show us.

Speaker 2 (01:49:10):
We don't want to just hand out money because you
have five grand in your bank account of course, right,
this isn't just a handout program. It's to help those
who have hit rock bottom, and we want to do
a hand up, not a handout.

Speaker 1 (01:49:22):
Well, and not to you know, take away from what
the Claremont County Veteran Services Commission does for the Claarmont
County veterans each and every day. But this same program
for the others in other counties, Hamilton County, Butler County,
Warren County, those particular county Veteran Services have the program
to do this as well.

Speaker 12 (01:49:39):
Correct, this is Ohio Revice Code every county.

Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
I just want to make that crystal clear for everyone,
so you don't get you.

Speaker 12 (01:49:45):
Don't have to come all the way to Clarika, all right, right, right.

Speaker 1 (01:49:47):
Right, right right, yeah, if you're listening in Cleveland, yeah,
Kia County Veteran Services. That's right, they'll help you right out,
absolutely all right. So how does a veteran apply for
this assistance? Just reach out to you your website or
how does it start?

Speaker 12 (01:50:01):
Two ways?

Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
So, there is a application form on our website, download it,
print it, fill it out. But you'll need to bring
it into the office, or you can call the office
and we can have you email it to us. Secondly,
come into the office and we have forms for you
to fill out.

Speaker 12 (01:50:19):
But we're going to need some paperwork. You need to
show your bank accounts.

Speaker 2 (01:50:21):
You're going to need to show your dues of bills
so that we can do proper justice as how we
spend this money.

Speaker 12 (01:50:28):
Sure right, this is taxpayers.

Speaker 1 (01:50:30):
Money right well, and your prior illustration points that out. Obviously,
this woman who is in terrible medical state needs air conditioning.
One answer to the question is just write a check
and say go buy a new air conditioner. The other
one is the solution you came up with is let's
get one of our guys over there to take a
look at it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:48):
Absolutely right, there are partners out there just willing, excited
about helping a veteran. Oh, without question, he won't even
send me a bill. I'm mad at him because you
won't send me a bill, said, I get funded for this.
It's the goodness of the heart of of the Clermont
County residents of wanting to help each other.

Speaker 12 (01:51:03):
It's a phenomenal story.

Speaker 1 (01:51:04):
It really is. I just I and I love that.
I just absolutely love that there's so many people out there,
even if they didn't have military service themselves. Sure, I mean,
it's like me, I love dedicating time to you guys
and the other Veterans Services commissions, veterans causes generally because
I didn't serve, but I got a massive amount of
respect for those who have. Sure, I mean, it's just like,
this is the least I can do, isn't free?

Speaker 12 (01:51:25):
And thank you?

Speaker 1 (01:51:26):
And the story you used as the illustration again serving
as a springboard, that was the wife of a deceased veteran.
So this is a family thing.

Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
Veterans families, correct, So you know Abraham Lincoln scripted to
care for him who bore the battle, for a spouse,
for his widow, and for his children.

Speaker 12 (01:51:50):
So it's all encompassing of the family.

Speaker 1 (01:51:52):
That's beautiful right there, right, all right, So you gave
the guidelines a d E two fourteen. You need to fill
out the form our applicant and seen in the same
day or are appointments needed? What is that sort of
final step in the process.

Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
Right, So, just like a bank loan, a home loan,
there's a validation process that needs to occur. You bring
in the paperwork. I want to make sure the paperwork's complete.
There's due diligence on our side. As a Claremont County taxpayer,
we are transpar I want my county residents to know
that we do the validation before we hand out any

(01:52:26):
dollar of yours that you've paid in taxes.

Speaker 12 (01:52:29):
There's a responsibility behind that.

Speaker 2 (01:52:30):
So completely filled out form that we can validate, and
then there's a conversation that's set up by appointment with
one of my for service officers to then go through.
Is this an emergency, was it unforeseen or is this
something that just is continuing that you have failed to
plan for.

Speaker 1 (01:52:50):
That's a very important component because it is sort of
guidance in counseling about planning to help avoid more problems
down the road. You probably offer that service as well.
That's right, that's what it's all about. Claremont County Veterans
dot Com where you find the Claremont County Veteran Services
and a wealth of benefits and resources. It's all readily
available for you to consult on the website where you

(01:53:11):
can get that form for financial assistance Claremont County Veterans
dot Com. Man, it's always great hearing from you. You're
so positive. I appreciate your service to our country and
your continued service American veteran man. You're doing it right
worthy God bless you, sir, COLEBN seven fifty six, which
means we're coming up on after the top of the
air news the return of Congressman Thomas Massey, talk election, Economy,

(01:53:32):
foreign policy, then Judge Napolitano, colleague Sheik Muhammad and the
problem of torture. We've been down that road with the
Judge before. We'll go down that road again at eight
thirty hoo. We can stick around the twenty twenty four election.

Speaker 13 (01:53:43):
Vice President Kamala Harris, I'm clapping.

Speaker 1 (01:53:47):
You don't have to do. On fifty five krs.

Speaker 12 (01:53:50):
This report here sponsored by AWKWAD.

Speaker 5 (01:53:52):
New Candidate Your Decision twenty twenty four.

Speaker 9 (01:53:55):
Station, a failed vice president and a failed Administration.

Speaker 1 (01:53:59):
Fifty five care the talk station eight O five and
fifty five KRCD Talk station. It's my distinct pleasure to
welcome back to the fifty five Cars Morning Show with
a heavy heart and call condolences from all my listening audience.
Congressman Thomas Massey, a real pleasure to have you back on, sir,

(01:54:22):
been missing you, and of course from my listening audience,
my family to yours are sincere, sincere condolences on your loss, sir,
welcome back.

Speaker 5 (01:54:30):
Thank you, Brian.

Speaker 14 (01:54:31):
I'm sorry they're mowing the grass outside my studio right now.

Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
Hopefully the will go back. Listen.

Speaker 14 (01:54:38):
My wife, my late wife, she was a big fan
of yours, and thank goodness she listened to you when
I didn't, because there were a couple of times in
the last ten years where you would say up next,
Thomas Massy.

Speaker 1 (01:54:55):
I wasn't even aware I was on your show. God
bless you, sir.

Speaker 14 (01:55:00):
She would call me up Ryan Thomas thinks you're going
to be on his show at five minutes and I'd
be in DC or something, and.

Speaker 5 (01:55:09):
All of our fail safes failed.

Speaker 14 (01:55:11):
Normally, we have this down on my calendar and staff
reminds me but she was our last line of defense,
and she really enjoyed your show, really enjoyed listening to you,
and she would listen to what was going on and
always let me know what I needed to know.

Speaker 1 (01:55:27):
Oh that's a just God bless her, God bless her.
So anyways, I can hear the emotion in your voice.
I certainly understand it. So with that, I will allow
you to pivot away to something I know you're also
emotional about, and that's the state of America and the
current situation. I just wanted to get your reaction on
since it's been a while since we talked, so much
has happened between the attended assassination of Donald Trump, of course,

(01:55:50):
the coup a toad that was waged against Joe Biden,
Kamala Harris now going from an also ran couldn't get
a single Democrat to vote for to now the best
thing that's ever happened to the Democrat Party as well
as America. What's your reaction all this sort of on
a general speaking level, and of course you know specifics
are welcome as well.

Speaker 14 (01:56:08):
Congressman, Well, I got just share a funny story with you.
This Saturday, I went and picked up my raw milk
from my Amish supplier. And he didn't even know that
Joe Biden wasn't running for president. And he asked me
if it was true that Trump had been shot at,
And I thought, man, I think that's right.

Speaker 5 (01:56:28):
That's maybe what bliss is.

Speaker 14 (01:56:30):
To be so far removed from this craziness as.

Speaker 1 (01:56:33):
Maybe a good a good argument for being a ludite. There, congressman,
right issue, if you want to be religious about it.

Speaker 5 (01:56:41):
Yeah, well then I tried to.

Speaker 14 (01:56:43):
He's like, but didn't they have an election to elect
Joe Biden as their candidate.

Speaker 5 (01:56:47):
I'm like, yeah, but that doesn't matter to them. They
basically had a coup since then.

Speaker 6 (01:56:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:56:52):
Really, And he didn't disbelieve any of that mask.

Speaker 1 (01:56:56):
Bernie Sanders is not the same. It's not the first
time the Democrats have done this.

Speaker 14 (01:56:59):
Yeah, So you know, that's the way I'm characterizing it.
I don't think he went along quietly with that coup.
I think, you know, it was just so odd that
he was not making a public appearance and everybody else
was making this announcement for him that he was no
longer the candidate. Man, it feels like Banana Republic type stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:57:24):
The way they did that, I would say it is
Banana republic like stuff they did, and then the Democrats
don't have any say in it. That's what I said
earlier in the program Congressman. I asked he that I
would love and you know, I know it's a dream
we've all had from time to time. I just would
love the climb into the heads of the Democrats collectively,
just to see what their reaction to being left out
of the process. I know that I personally would want

(01:57:46):
to participate in the primary, have some choice in it.
And I know personally that if you know, I was
a Democrat and I can put myself in the position
of a Democrat and understand their philosophy from time to time,
but not the far left socialist come communists wing of
the party, which is where she came from. I would
have gone with a Shapiro as opposed to Tim, you know,

(01:58:07):
because he is from the far left of the party,
so they no say the matter none.

Speaker 5 (01:58:11):
He is from the far left.

Speaker 14 (01:58:12):
He served in the House of Representatives, so I know
him from there, and he was a leftist then, but
he's gone even further left since he left the House
of Representatives. I think it's interesting they are. They're going
all in. They've already done a press conference where they
say they want to ban AR fifteen's, you know, they
want to stop any transfer of firearms between relatives. They're

(01:58:39):
going all in. They are leaning in on a leftist
agenda in this campaign. Now, that is the signal they
are sending to their base. The media will not portray.

Speaker 1 (01:58:51):
Them as that.

Speaker 14 (01:58:52):
Oh no, the media will portray them as let's say normal,
and us as weird, which is.

Speaker 1 (01:58:58):
What they're doing. And that's so juvenile. Weird.

Speaker 7 (01:59:03):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:59:03):
Name calling happens when you don't have any arguments against
you know, logic and reason and policy and things of
that nature. Let's just boil it down. We'll just start
calling them weird.

Speaker 6 (01:59:13):
You know.

Speaker 14 (01:59:13):
And Jade Vance is one of the most normal people
in politics.

Speaker 1 (01:59:17):
Yeah, that's a good point.

Speaker 14 (01:59:19):
By the way, he sent me before he was named
vice the vice president nominee.

Speaker 5 (01:59:23):
He he and I text back and forth.

Speaker 14 (01:59:26):
We are in sync on a lot of issues and
and and somewhat outside of the Republican mainstream party on
some of these issues, he and I together, like, for instance,
opposing our participation in Ukraine. He's been he's been strong
on that anti war in that respect, but he and
also he and I also teamed up on opposing something

(01:59:50):
called the REPO Act.

Speaker 5 (01:59:52):
Now, let me explain what the.

Speaker 1 (01:59:54):
REPO Act is.

Speaker 5 (01:59:55):
Ostensibly, this sounds like a great idea.

Speaker 14 (01:59:58):
We're gonna we're gonna seize the aueign wealth assets of
Russia that are in the United States, and we're going
to take those assets and buy bombs and kill Russians
with the sovereign assets that Russia has here in the
United States. Well, that's that sounds all good to a
lot of people. But what are the assets that the

(02:00:19):
Russians have in the United States. They are treasury bonds.
So basically, instead of calling it to REPO Act, we
should call it the Default Act.

Speaker 5 (02:00:28):
And JD. Vance is smart enough.

Speaker 14 (02:00:30):
You know, he was in the investment community after he
graduated from Yale and served in the military. He was
I think venture capitalists, and that's another area where you know,
I was asking venture capitalists for money, went for my business.

Speaker 5 (02:00:46):
When I got out of school and raised venture capitals.

Speaker 14 (02:00:48):
So I'm familiar with that. But he has an understanding
of money and second order effects, and he knows as
well as I know that if you start defaulting on
your debt to some of the countries that have purchased
your debt, the price of financing your debt is going
to go up right, and that is what we are

(02:01:08):
seeing people.

Speaker 1 (02:01:09):
You know, it's like you're bond rating going down right correct.

Speaker 5 (02:01:13):
And we're putting we're pushing it down ourselves.

Speaker 14 (02:01:17):
And so Great Britain knows we're not going to default
on treasury notes if they buy some of our treasury.

Speaker 5 (02:01:23):
Notes, but China buys some.

Speaker 14 (02:01:25):
Of our treasuries, okay, and if they know that as
soon as you know, we get in a tip for
tat over Taiwan, that part of the escalation is going
to be what we're trying to do with Russia, which
is default on our debt. Then they have to they
have to factor that in to when they purchase a
treasury bond, or they have to factor that in the

(02:01:48):
fact that they may not get they may not get
any money back for it, so that causes them to
demand higher interest rates.

Speaker 1 (02:01:56):
Well why and why would we, I guess arguably shoot
ourselves in the foot doing that, Because without China loaning
us money, we can't maintain the current economy. It's sne
of it it's just such a twisted, twisted state of
affairs we find ourselves living in well.

Speaker 14 (02:02:10):
And also we got a sweetheart deal. When people borrow
our money and then we inflate it. They we're basically
they're getting very little return, if any at all.

Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
That's true on the on the don't say that out loud, though,
because they might quit loaning it to us.

Speaker 14 (02:02:28):
Well, here's and here's the net of all of this.
It's what what does this mean to your listeners? It
means that interest rates.

Speaker 5 (02:02:35):
On your mortgage are going to stay high.

Speaker 14 (02:02:38):
You know, you'd like to think that the FED has
control of this, or a lot of people would like
to think.

Speaker 5 (02:02:42):
I'd like to think the Fed should go away. But
if you if you like.

Speaker 14 (02:02:47):
To pretend that the Fed is controlling interest rates right now,
that you would most people would like to see them
lower them a little bit to get some relief on
their car loan or on their variable rate mortgage, or
they're trying to move from one neighborhood to another to
get a better job, but that would require selling their
house and getting another mortgage at a higher interest rate.

(02:03:09):
There are lots of ways that high interest rates hurt
the economy. And people are thinking that the FED is
going to lower interest rates at some point, but the
reality is they might be able to squeeze it down
half a percent or a percent, they can't go any
lower than that because we've already made enough sovereign countries
their investments skittish enough that they are demanding higher rates

(02:03:33):
for our fifteen and thirty year notes. And anyways, backing
this all back up, jd Vance recognizes that, and he
and I have been trying to be vocal about this
because the REPO Act is very populist notion that people
are generally in favor of, but it's the second order

(02:03:55):
effects of it are going to be detrimental to our economy.
So jd Vance sent me a very nice text about
Rondo when she passed away, and I sent him a
note back and told him that his book was an
inspiration to Ronda and I because we both started in
Eastern Kentucky as we grew up as hillbillies. We were

(02:04:16):
raised as hillbillies and we're still proud hillbillies. But they
taught us the three rs in Eastern Kentucky, reading, writing,
and Route twenty three, which you know, and my brother
and sister both took Route twenty three.

Speaker 5 (02:04:30):
They both live in Ohio.

Speaker 14 (02:04:31):
They went there to get better job opportunities, and that
sort is the story of eastern Kentucky. But my wife
and I, you Jade Vance from very humble beginnings, and
he did this using I think a military scholarship or something.
But he went to Yale and his book he talks
about the culture shock that he went through. And I

(02:04:54):
told JD that my wife and I had that very
same experience coming from Eastern Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (02:05:00):
Going to MIT and going to MIT, I imagine.

Speaker 14 (02:05:03):
I mean, look when I got to Cambridge, Massachusetts, which
is basically they they are full out socialists there. They're
not Democrats. The first crosswalk I went through on Massachusetts Avenue,
a car honked at me, and I thought, oh my gosh,
I've been here what four hours, and already run into

(02:05:26):
somebody that knows me. So I waved at the car
that was honking at me, and they were not waving
back with more than one finger.

Speaker 1 (02:05:38):
I knew that was coming. I started laughing before you
got to the meat of the story.

Speaker 14 (02:05:44):
But people say, oh, that is not true, and I said, oh,
not only is that true. It took me a month
to quit waving at cars, because for eighteen years that
was my instinct. The only reason a car would honk
it a person because it's hard to see through the
windshield for the person the pedestrian, and that person in

(02:06:05):
that car knows the pedestrian and wants to say hi exactly.
So anyways, I know I've told jd Vanceas's story got
a good kick out of it. But I also told
him that he's appropriated my culture, that I'm the real hillbilly.
He's from Ohio and I'm his he'll billy cousins he
spent the summer with. In fact, I grew up in

(02:06:27):
a town called Vansburg.

Speaker 1 (02:06:28):
Oh about that, well, I'll tell you what. Let's pause, Congressman.
We will have a couple of minutes when we come back.
I really want to get into foreign policy if we can,
because it does appear as though World War three is
getting ready to break out. Congressman Thomas Masha, let's pause
will bring it right back. I get a quick word
here for doctor Fred Peck and doctor Meghan Frew, the
dynamic duo of dentistry. You're in the best possible hands
for both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry doctor Fred Peck

(02:06:52):
and a credited Fellow with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,
and only one of three in the entire state of Ohio.
It's a state filled with dennist He's only one of
three in the entire state that's achieved the status of
fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. And there
is good reason for that, stunning life changing smile makeovers.
You're in the best possible hands for cosmetic dentistry with

(02:07:13):
doctor Pack and doctor Fruz working under accreditation with the
American Academy, You're in of the best possible hands across
the board for all things dentistry. My entire family's general dentists,
and they do a wonderful job. They're always called the
cutting edge of dentistry for the purpose of benefiting you,
the client. So check them out of the patient, I
should say, call him up, schedule apployment. You'd be glad
you did. Five one, three, six, two, one, seventy six
sixty six. Tom Brian said, Hi, sixty one seventy six

(02:07:36):
sixty six. Online it's Packpeck, Pecksmiles dot com.

Speaker 3 (02:07:40):
Fifty five KRC and iHeartRadio station, the exclusive audio home
mom NBC's coverage of the twenty twenty four Paris Olympics.

Speaker 11 (02:07:51):
I am the.

Speaker 1 (02:07:54):
Real quick weather here. Maybe an isolated shower, but it's
going to be mostly thirty eighty one, few clouds over
night sixty seven, eighty eight to the High with isolated
afternoon showers Tomorrow, a few clouds of a night dent
to seventy and a partly Sunday Friday with a slight
chance of showers eighty six for the High right now
seventy four in time for traffic.

Speaker 8 (02:08:09):
From the UCUT Tramping Center. Nearly sixty percent of Americans
pointing on an organ transplant from multicultural communities give the
Gift of Life signed up today to be an organ donor.
Westbound Reagan Highway continues to be a slow go after
playing field to an accident before Ridge southbound seventy five,
A few break lights at Union Center, then a few
more in and out of Lachlan, and an extra five

(02:08:32):
northbound seventy fives over a fifteen minute delayed between Florence
and downtown Chucking, Vermont fifty five KRZ the talk station.

Speaker 1 (02:08:41):
Hey twenty one to thirty five KRCD talk station. It
is a very special ones here in the fifty five
KRC morning show listener Lunch, Jim and Jacks, the whole
bunch of people coming, including World War two veteran. We
also have Judge Oental Politana coming up next, and he
is listening right now. We've already logged into the zoom
call with the Judge I do at eight thirty, so
he is listening in to US speak because you know,

(02:09:02):
Judge Napaulton is a huge fan of Congressman Thomas Massey.
Pivoting over to foreign policy, Congressman Massy, what in the
hell is going on?

Speaker 14 (02:09:10):
Well, what is going on is unconstitutional if they go
through with it, they're threatening strikes on a sovereign country, Iran,
that the US would participate in in some form or fashion.

Speaker 5 (02:09:22):
I'm sorry, this requires a.

Speaker 14 (02:09:24):
Vote congression of war, declaration of war clearly in the Constitution.

Speaker 1 (02:09:29):
Amen.

Speaker 14 (02:09:31):
And it's that simple, And they're breaking the constitution. And
what really disappoints me is there many members of my
own party who are quite alright with that. I remember
a few years ago I was in a back room
GOP conference where the entire caucus of Republicans that are
in the House of Representatives was meeting and we were

(02:09:52):
talking about this dilemma of what to do with Iran
and the war powers of Congress, and one of my
Republican colleagues got up suggested to the Speaker that we
pre declare war with Iran, not that they hadn't done
anything yet that would justify war, but if we would
pre declare war with Iran, then if Obama wanted to strike.

Speaker 5 (02:10:15):
Iran, we wouldn't be getting in the way of him
doing that.

Speaker 1 (02:10:19):
What article of the Constitution does that Does that clause
come in pre declaration?

Speaker 14 (02:10:24):
Well, I've said, you know, there's a balanced budget amendment
offered in Congress many years and it's got an exemption
for war. And I said, the problem with this, if
we make a balanced budget exemption or balance budget amendment
to the Constitution with an exemption for war, the first
day of every Congress will.

Speaker 1 (02:10:42):
Adopt a rules package elective.

Speaker 14 (02:10:43):
Speaker and declare war and like Upper Madagascar and rent
of someplace to bomb there and be real polite about it.

Speaker 1 (02:10:52):
Yeah, that's funny, but it's also true. It is true true.
I mean, look, just used COVID funds. For example, look
at where money for COVID nineteen landed. I mean it
landed at every place, landed roads, bridges, infrastructure projects, you know,
keeping different programs alive that had nothing what's over to
do with the pandemic or anything related to it. It's
just been this big cash cow, go move kind of product,

(02:11:13):
a thing that's well also subject of fraud, waste and abuse.
But moving back to the military component about and something
judged Upatana and I have talked about regularly over the years.
Authorization for use of military force. Isn't that like a
declaration of war without declaring war? I mean, what the
hell is that? And how is it that they can
last for twenty years?

Speaker 14 (02:11:32):
We've got some that are still ongoing. Yeah, and they
are not They are not constrained or defined geographically. Like
the War on terror, it's basically an open ended, you know,
carte blanche permission to do anything anywhere on the globe
if you can invoke the.

Speaker 1 (02:11:51):
Term terror, like with striking missiles in foreign lands that
we have no no, no war going on with.

Speaker 14 (02:11:58):
Right, And this is why when they bring up these
resolutions to declare, let's say Iran a terrorist nation, or
North Korea a terrorist nation. I vote against them because
if you take A and you understand B, you get
C C is war. And if you've got a global
war on terror and Congress is now denoting more countries

(02:12:20):
as terrorist countries are engaged in terrorist activities, then you
have almost at that point already said we're going to
have war with them. But we need to end all
of the au mfs, and we need to go back
to declaring war. The other problem with an AUMF. When
you declare war, there needs to be an objective, and

(02:12:43):
then you need to be all in and give your
military the tools to get the job done, and tell
them when they get to come home, what the object
you know, when they achieve certain objectives, what those objectives are.

Speaker 5 (02:12:55):
We don't do that anymore.

Speaker 1 (02:12:57):
Heaven forbid. We would actually have a clearly defined objective. Well,
and you know, real quick here I must observe as
I see war unfolding. I see now the Iranians are
supplying drones. Iranians have longer range missiles which have accuracy.
Whereas it used to be the scud type missile. It's
just sort of got launched like a bottle rocket and
landed everywhere they wanted. They have all kinds of sophisticated technology. Hell,

(02:13:18):
they're just a step or two away from getting a
nuclear weapon. They view us as the terrorist, right and
if they decide that some individuals responsible for the death
of some other individual in Iran or some member of
their military forces, I mean, we seem to be a
moment in time away from just some missile coming out
of nowhere, launched by the Iranians blowing up somebody's sitting

(02:13:40):
in a cafe here in Cincinnati or anyplace else they
might be in our.

Speaker 14 (02:13:43):
Land, which is why I mean they they made fun
of Ronald Reagan for you know, the Star Wars Strategic
Defense initiative.

Speaker 5 (02:13:52):
But we need basically to.

Speaker 14 (02:13:55):
Redouble our efforts on our own version of an Iron Dome.
And I just don't think we've done enough in that regard. Eventually,
weapons are going to get more sophisticated. They got hypersonic missiles.
Now we need to be prepared for that, and we're not.
And I'll remind you this is not a partisan issue.

(02:14:17):
I was one of three Republicans when Trump was president
to vote for a resolution that said if Trump wanted
to go to war, with Iran. He has to come
to Congress first. The other was Matt Gates and then
another guy from Florida who's no longer in Congress, and
President Trump called me at that time encouraged me not
to vote for that resolution. He said that if I

(02:14:39):
gave him, if Congress gave him the power to unilaterally
go to war with Iran, then he could. Essentially, when
he said things, I won't call them bluffs, but when
he said things to Tyran, you do this, I'm going
to do that, that his words would carry more.

Speaker 5 (02:14:56):
Weight, and that he could keep us out of a
war if.

Speaker 14 (02:14:59):
His words carried more weight, if they knew that he
could unilaterally.

Speaker 1 (02:15:03):
Take us to war.

Speaker 12 (02:15:04):
And I said that, you.

Speaker 14 (02:15:06):
Know, expedience, Yeah, I said, that could possibly be true.
But let's say you tell them here's the red line
and they crossed that line, then we're at war and
Congress is not weighed in on it. I said, so
I'm going to vote for this Democrat resolution to say
you can't go to war without an Act of Congress.
And that you know, because there was discussion of it

(02:15:26):
at the time.

Speaker 1 (02:15:27):
Where are the Democrats with that position? These days? Oh?

Speaker 14 (02:15:31):
Yeah, I mean this is the I'm sorry, Brian, this
is the bittersweet part of it. I know for the Democrats,
for most of the Democrats, it was merely a partisan
messaging thing. But uh, you know, we mat Gates and
I we got them to change the wording of their
resolution because they were trying to condemn Trump's attack on solemony.

(02:15:52):
We said, you need to take that out of the
war as clause. We're not going to litigate that. All
we want to talk about is war with mainland Iran.
And they did take that out of were as clause
and that was but it still was a political gesture
on their part.

Speaker 5 (02:16:05):
They were double standard.

Speaker 1 (02:16:06):
Party consman Thomas Massey again, I we have of all
my listening audience and my family and me personally condolences
on your loss. I am so pleased though to have
you back on the morning show. Judseph Paulton has been
listening intently. He's on next and you can stream the
audio fifty five care Sea dot com, sir and listen
to what Judgment Poulton has to say about you.

Speaker 5 (02:16:25):
Hi there, Judge.

Speaker 14 (02:16:27):
Excited to have you on air, and thank you Brian
for the card and the flowers that you sent.

Speaker 1 (02:16:33):
Really appreciate the least I could possibly do. You know,
I love you and I love what you're doing for America.
Keep up the great work and I'll look forward to
having you back on the show real soon. Thank you, sir,
Hey twenty nine fifty five car seat Talk Station. The
judge is up next and he is waiting first. Though
MRI set scans, echo cardiograms, ultra sounds, you're paying too
much for you go to the hospital imaging department, and
I mean way too much, like tenfold over what you

(02:16:56):
would pay if you just went to Affordable Imaging Services
to get your scan MRI scan without a contrast four
hundred and ninety five bucks, and it includes a radiologist
support from a board certified radiologist, which you and your
doctor will both get within forty eight hours. Four hundred
ninety five without a contrast. You would have cost you
to hospital imaging department five thousand dollars maybe thirty five
hundred dollars. You are in the thousands of dollars for

(02:17:19):
something like I said you can get for a fraction
contrast for an MRI that's the most expensive image in
affordable imaging services, and it's only six hundred and forty
five bucks. When you get the contrast, you're going to
get a lot more money. Separate bill for the contrast
at the imaging department at the hospital. So say no
to your doctor. Tell him you know I can go
where I want. It's my medical care. I'm going to
Affordable Imaging Services five to one three seven five three

(02:17:40):
eight thousand five one three seven five three eight thousand.

Speaker 4 (02:17:46):
Fifty five KRC.

Speaker 1 (02:17:48):
Listen clouds isolated showers eighty one. That's today over nineteen
to sixty seven with a few clowns. Tomorrow eighty eight
to high isolated afternoon showers and partly cloudy skyes down
to seventy over night with a few clowns, partly sunny
with yes, a chance of showers and storms as well
on Friday eighty six for the high end seventy four.
Right now, let's see what Chuck has on traffic from

(02:18:09):
the UCL Traffic Center.

Speaker 8 (02:18:10):
Nearly sixty percent of Americans waiting on an organ transplanterer
from multicultural communities give the Gift of life. Sign up
today to be an organ donor. A couple of wrecks
in the clean up stages westbound on the Reagan Highway
near Ridge Road that has the right lane block, traffic
backs towards playing field and a wreck on seven forty
seven before you get to Milligan. Southbound seventy five continues

(02:18:31):
slow through Wachmand. Same for northbound seventy five out of
Erlinger into town for an extra ten. Coming up next
to guests who is just finished all who ex floor exercises,
and it looks like yes, indeed, our next guest is
going to take the goal for political commentary, here comes
the judge Chucking Ram.

Speaker 1 (02:18:52):
On fifty five k R see the talk station, Hey,
thirty three fifty five Kariseite talk station. Of course, Chuck
actually got a right on that one. Welcome back, you're
honor Judge Enna Paula Tana. When the hels of Congressman Messy
the best one to two punching radio is always like
to remind folks, but everybody knows that well.

Speaker 13 (02:19:09):
Thank you Brian, and good morning, and thank you Chuck.
The gold for political commentary is for my predecessor as
a guest here, boy, am I riveted when the two
of you speak to each other, And of course I've
voluntarily kept my mic on mute because it's Congressman Massy segment.
It's not mine.

Speaker 1 (02:19:28):
One of these days we'll do the joint one, Yes
we will.

Speaker 13 (02:19:31):
The thing he says is fascinating and quite frankly courageous
because there are very few members of Congress. There are
no members of Congress as devoted to preserve and protecting
and defending the Constitution as Congressman Thomas Massey.

Speaker 1 (02:19:47):
A men to that, And of course, you know, it's
a wonderful segue to your column which comes out tonight,
colleague Schik Muhammad and the problem of torture. We have
talked about this issue before, but your column does a
wonderful job and just showing how fast and loose people
are willing to be when it comes to just they're
bad people. I'm not going to argue these guys in

(02:20:08):
Gitmo are are our angels and aren't worthy of some
kind of punishment. But you got to go through the
got to go through due process. But they have gone
through twists and contortions, you know, from the torture that
you we've we've talked about many times, to the venue situation.
You know, it's it's it's expedient, it's just ignoring the

(02:20:28):
law for the purpose of getting a result you want
without going through the appropriate channels.

Speaker 13 (02:20:33):
And if they have gone through the appropriate channels, if
George W. Bush had not listened to Alberto Gonzalez, his
his then White House counsel and eventually as Attorney General
and same person that's trying to get us to bomb
me run today, Senator Lindsey Graham.

Speaker 1 (02:20:51):
If George W. Bush had not listened to them.

Speaker 13 (02:20:54):
And allowed these creeps to be tried in federal court
where the crimes were committed, that would be Alexandria, Virginia,
the Pentagon, New York City, Manhattan for the World Trade Towers,
and I don't know where the venue is for Shanksburg, Pennsylvania,
but they go to consolidated them all in one. The
trials would have been over by now, no torture admitted

(02:21:18):
in the federal courts, plenty of other evidence of their guilt.
They would have been tried, convicted, and either executed or
sentenced to Florence, Colorado, where al Chapo and people of
that ilk are. But instead they created this military tribunal
system because they wanted quick, rough justice. Quick They've been

(02:21:42):
waiting for their trials since two thousand and six, that's
eighteen years ago. Now on the verge of trial the government.
The government says, we got to talk settlement. We can't
try this case. Our lawyers can't defend torture. The CIA
will go blisted if all.

Speaker 1 (02:22:00):
This stuff comes out. We've got to settle this case.

Speaker 13 (02:22:03):
They agree on a settlement, The defendants agree, the prosecution agrees,
the judge accepts the terms of the settlement, and then
the prosecution, in the form of Secretary of Defense Austin,
not a lawyer and probably not familiar with all the
legal problems in the case that I've outlined in my article,
says we don't agree now under the federal rules. As

(02:22:25):
you know, once the court accepts the guilty plea, that's it.
Neither party can change their minds. So I don't know
what's going to happen next. Either the guilty plea will
be accepted over Secretary of Austin's objection, or we're going
to have a trial that's going to expose the worst
behavior of the federal government in the past twenty five years.

Speaker 1 (02:22:48):
Well, and there's the first thing I thought of when
the plea agreement was reached, was you because of the
points you've made before, torture is not allowed. You can't torture.
So many exactly confession out of them that torture is
going to be thrown out. It would obviously have an
impact on a potential outcome from a jury who would
hear the evidence of torture. We would be made to
look bad, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And the

(02:23:10):
other component of this, the retraction of the endeavor to
retract the plea agreement, seemed to come on the heels
of people's demanding that this guy be put to death. Now,
I'm not a fan of the death penalty because if
a state can take away life, I worry about that
because the state screws up all the time. I don't

(02:23:31):
want the life and death decisions being in the hand
of a state which regularly lies to us and sometimes
and over the history of our country is quite often
put up liars on the stand and corrupt prosecutors to
present evidence that isn't there, or withhold evidence from defendants
that might be exculpatory. We've heard that story before. It
is written in the law, so that's me. But this

(02:23:54):
demand for the death penalty when the guys agreed that
he would spend life in prison. What I mean, what
more could you hope to do with the guy?

Speaker 7 (02:24:01):
You know?

Speaker 1 (02:24:02):
You know, I agree with you.

Speaker 13 (02:24:04):
I understand the demand for the death penalty. I'm against
the death penalty. If the government derives its powers from
the consent of the government, we don't have the authority
to execute people that are found guilty of crimes, and
we can't therefore delegate that power to the government. That's
a philosophical argument. I understand people who say, my God,

(02:24:29):
you commit a murder in cold blood in the streets,
in a city, in a state that has the death penalty,
you can be executed.

Speaker 1 (02:24:36):
These people killed three thousand people in them. Are not
going to execute them.

Speaker 13 (02:24:41):
Blame Lindsey Graham. Blame the people that concocted this torture.
Blame the people that prohibited the removal of these defendants
from Guantanaa Bay for any reason, for trial, for sentence,
or for execution.

Speaker 1 (02:24:59):
Isn't it's absurd that the.

Speaker 13 (02:25:01):
Congress did that because Barack Obama threatened to remove them
under cover of darkness to the MCC The Metropalton Correstionalist
Center in New York and dyte them, charge them and
try them there.

Speaker 1 (02:25:12):
And the Republicans want reserve.

Speaker 13 (02:25:14):
Oh, they're too dangerous to be put in a jail
outside of Gitmo. There's three of them. There are one
hundred people that run the jail. It costs five hundred
and forty.

Speaker 6 (02:25:25):
Million a year.

Speaker 1 (02:25:26):
Who do they think they're kidding? I know. And a
president which has the worst of the worst of the
worst murderers, rapists, thieves, thugs. If they can manage those guys,
they can manage a couple of conspirators. And that's the
other point you made in the article, which is really
worthy point. They created the Military Tribunal because this which
is supposed to be for military combatants and military related issues,

(02:25:51):
this was non military. These were not uniform combatants. They
were conspirators. They directed the behavior of those who flew
the planes into the buildings. But it's a sept Now
you can be held accountable for the damage you do.
You can be found guilty of murder if you are
a co conspirator, even though you didn't pull the trigger.
But as you point out in the article the Military Tribune,
that's a legal issue that isn't dealt with in these tribunals.

(02:26:14):
Is it's a federal law.

Speaker 13 (02:26:15):
Right tribunals cannot try conspiracy cases. So again, Lindsey Graham Special,
I'm sorry to be picking on him. It's actually a
nice guy. But but again, a Republican Congressional special. Oh,
even though it's a military tribunal, they can try civilian
crimes and they'll follow the federal rules of criminal procedure.

Speaker 1 (02:26:36):
Okay, if they're going to.

Speaker 13 (02:26:38):
Try civilian crimes and follow the federal rules of criminal procedure,
why isn't it a regular federal jury trial before one judge.
They've had four judges in this case. They've had four
teams of prosecutors. They've had two teams of defense lawyers.
The judge sitting on the motion to dismiss the indictment

(02:27:01):
because of all the torture. Do you know how many
pages of documents are in that motion and he's a
brand new judge on the case, forty thousand ages he
has to read. This is mind boggling. The mess that
they have created in the name of vengeance, George w
not justice.

Speaker 1 (02:27:23):
Well, you put an exclamation point on that when you're
run and the column comes out tonight, Colleague, Sheik Muhammad
the problem with torture. You are laughing though and smiling
at the conclusion, which is as good as we can
hope for today given the subject matter. I always enjoyed
this conversation, especially on the height.

Speaker 13 (02:27:39):
Too, but today was a special treat being able to
listen to Congressman Massey. I'm so sorry for his loss,
but I'm ecstatic that he is still his same old self. Indeed,
I wanted to tip my hat to him for not
showing up when netzingaut who spoke, what a despicable, disgraceful

(02:28:00):
thing that was Nettignell, who had an audience he bought
and paid for. Thomas Massey was not there because he's
not bought and paid for.

Speaker 1 (02:28:08):
Well, we'll get this three way conversation that we had
planned before his wife's passing back on board at some point.
I know my producer work with your people in Congressman
Massy's people to make that happen, and I am really
looking forward to that day as well. Judging and Napolitano
find him online and Judging Freedom. Who you talking to today?

Speaker 13 (02:28:26):
I am talking to Phil Giraldi XCIA and the investigative
Journalist to Aaron mate who has some very interesting observations.
I don't know how he knows this about the private
conversation between Joe Biden and Benjamin Nettinnahu two days ago,
in which Joe accused BB of lying to him, and

(02:28:48):
he did so in very very colorful, blue collar Scranton language.

Speaker 1 (02:28:53):
Wow, thanxious to hear that. One find a judging freedom
look at Facebook and YouTube and just search on generally
that and Judge and Paul time you will find him
judge until next Wednesday. God bless you, sir, pleasure having
you on the program as all. Okay you, Brian, thank
you all the best coming up in eight forty four
or fifty five krc DE talk station Cover sence, he's
a number to call cover since he John Rowman and
the team will take great care of you. Why would

(02:29:16):
you do it? Well, you want to pay less for
medical insurance and you want better coverage, don't we all? Well,
that's what John and the team are all about. They
work with hundreds of insurance companies, thousands of policies, but
they work for you. It's a fiduciary like relationship like
you have with your financial planner. They have your best
interest in mind. So what they do is do an
individual analysis of every single one of their clients. Like

(02:29:36):
if you're a group, you own a business, you have
like thirty employees, you want them to be able to
afford insurance, but they can't because maybe they're on a
bombacare pan ninety five hundred dollars out of pocket. They
don't have that kind of money. They cannot afford to
pay the out of pocket, so they ignore buying insurance
and put themselves at peril, could file for bankruptcy as
a consequence of that. No, he can get them all insured.

(02:29:56):
He looks at each of them individually, puts a package
together with dollars one coverage for less money. I know
it sounds amazing and impossible. Trust me, he does this
every single day. That's why I say it's worth a
few minutes a year time to see if he can
save you all kinds of money monthly as well as
put dollar one coverage in the mix. Call him up.
It's a eight five one three eight hundred call five

(02:30:19):
one three eight hundred two two five five. You can
initiate the conversation by filling out a form online at
his website, where you can learn more about the process.
It's coversincy dot com, fifty five car, the talk station.
