you reached out and you tracked down Justin from the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show, and thank you for that,
because his story needs to be told.

And so we have this amazing young woman who works
in our newsroom. Her name is Lily, and she said,
if you don't interview Justin, she said, he's the most
amazing story you'll ever tell.

I cannot even tell you, Billy, I've done it thirty years.

talked about everything and the things he said about the
two of you, and I mean this, and no it's
not a the piece, So I'm gonna say I was.

So I can't tell you what you both meant to him,
and how you both inspire him to do.

So there, Well, Marie, I got to ask you so
during the interview, what was the part of Justin's story
that just blew you away more than anything else?

I might even chow up a little bit.

The part that he was on the common, on the
Boston Common, just leeping on the common, and that.

He every you know, he would ask every day for
help and one day a bed opened up. One day
sort of opened up his world and then took him
down another path, and he's been on that path for
quite some time.

I because how many times have we all walked on
the Boston Common through the Boston Common.

There's the State House right there, and and to think
that this successful kid who's just so full of life
and wants so much more and loves his family so
deeply at one time was there and he's so honest
about it.

Oh got it, I got it. I came hold it together,
getting emotional in the brother Yeah.

Justin for the sake of those people who might be
listening for the first time, because we get new listeners
all the time, every hour, every high hour. Give it
a nutshell of the story. Your story.

Yeah, I struggled with addiction starting at a young age.
I was in and out of facilities, jails, detoxes, on
the streets. When I was seventeen years old. I spent
many years out there, you know, hopeless. I got to
a point where I was, you know, basically dead, and
you know, by the grace of God, I was able
to get clean and stay clean. And you know, I
went back to school and had this dream of working
(05:59):
in radio, working on Kiss one O eight. And it
took many years, but I worked hard I stayed clean.
That was the number one thing. And look where I
am now.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
And Maria, he used to listen to this show in
a jail cell. I know, I know.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
It's unbelievable. It's really unbelievable. He saw it, he believed
in it, and somehow he broke through.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
The fog and he got there and he's good. And
you guys are all so good an you guys, Yeah,
you are well.

So I think I had the creepiest story of the
day earlier today when they caught that woman that was
handing out illegal bogus boatox in Randolph, Massachusetts. And now
I have got this, and I think this one beats it.
There's a dermatologist in Denver, Colorado. It explains the presence

and by the way, this apparently affects every one of us.
It explains the presence of a demo dex mites, which
are tiny eight legged creatures that live on our faces
while we're sleeping at night. They come out at night
to eat the dead skin cells off our face and
then they start mating. And I'm not making this up.

happening at a studio and anybody that was interested was
going to be busted over. And that's what they did

And yeah, we got to sit in a studio nearby,
so it was really like being a part of history
or being you know, being close to it.

took the squirrel in. While the Department of Environmental Conservation

took the squirrel was giving it a rabies test. But
I guess they have to euthanize the squirrel to do it.
So now the squirrel is dead. Seven years seven seven years,
they took the squirrel and they killed the squirrel.

help and one day a bed opened up. One day

There's the State House right there, and and to think
that this successful kid who's just so full of life
and wants so much more and loves his family so
deeply at one time was there and he's so honest

Yeah, I struggled with addiction starting at a young age.
I was in and out of facilities, jails, detoxes, on
the streets. When I was seventeen years old. I spent
many years out there, you know, hopeless. I got to

same things that when I get the treatment here does.
I just didn't see like a lot of results and
I always felt like, Okay, I think this is either

as well, and I will never go back.

She was faking, yeah, and they were lining up to
go lining up. Yeah. A good topic this morning. Red
flags when you're dating. This came from Olivia Rodrigo. She
revealed her red flag, which is she meets a guy
and she asked them, Hey, would you ever want to
go to space. If he says yes, then she'll never
date him again. That's her red flag. What are yours?

My red flag came from my friend recently who showed
me a text from a guy who she had hung
out with a couple of times, and he had asked
her to hang out and she didn't respond because she's
a nurse, so one's busy at work. And he responded
two hours later.

move never mind.

You gotta look for the signs I love that guy.

We had Maria Stefanos on from Channel five as a
profile that's airing tonight at five o'clock on Me and
My story, and so we had Maria on to talk
about it, and she was very nice. You know, she
revealed that I did, you know, give some love to
to you guys, but it was, you know, ended up
on the cutting room floor.

things he said about the two of you and I
mean this and no it's not in the piece.

important because you know, I remember not being able to
get one hour. Yeah, so you get one day and
then one day turns into two days, and then you know,

you keep going one day at a time.

How many years pretty crazy.

That's sixteen years. Yeah, in four months, so I've come
a long way. I mean I remember being listen, I
remember being in prison with one hundred dollars bail right,
and no one would pay it for me. I sat
there for months on one hundred dollars, and I went
for a bail review to get it lowered, and I
went before the judge and he looked down at the
paperwork and he looked at it up at me, and

he goes, does no one love you?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
He said that get it. The people didn't want to
enable you by getting you want love?
Speaker 7 (33:32):
Yeah, they had nothing. No one, nobody cared about you. Kid.
I just remember, like, shame, I know, I can't wait.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
He probably looked at the record and he was like,
all he needs some tough love.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Yeah, put him back, brother Hunt.
Speaker 7 (33:43):
Yeah, yeah, thank you.

Billy could have bailed you out ten times over. What's
one his wallet right now?

I Finally, Peanut the Squirrel.

Yeah, we just talked about this. Peanut the squirrel and
Fred the raccoon. They were owned by a guy in
New York. He had a whole sanctuary. Somebody ratted them
out said they had rabies. They took Peanut the squirrel
and Fred the raccoon and they killed them. Yeah, because
they have to kill them, decapitate them to tell rabies. God,
crazy story.

Hi, Billy and Lisa, it's the fan from Plainville. I
was just listening to the story about Peanut the beautiful squirrel.
I follow them on Instagram and not only is it
so tragic that this happened, but that squirrel was trained
and he would do tricks and it's just so sad
that they had to do this. He was such a
love he was such a cutie. He had the run

of the house. And you know, I just hope that
something is that about this.

And by the way, squirrels can be trained. Even if
you go to the public gardens, squirrels will come over
to you. You can feed them, they hang out. It's

Hey TV out in Harvard here. My wife and I

We have this one mouse that effectively has turned into
a zombie mouse because every time I kill him, he
just comes back the next day.

Well, we had a mouse problem, a mice problem documented
on this show. We had my wife on last week.
She got three of them using cheese balls on sticky traps.
There have been no mouse sightings. Oh yeahs so good
since then downstairs or upstairs.

And work got out.

Yep. So she tried all different traps and all different
types of food, peanut butter and everything. Cheese balls is
the one, Billy. It's been five days.

The troops are a seminar. They are so pissed at
you for killing their relatives. They're rising up and telling
you they're in the walls right now, strategy meetings, everything,
they're going all separate ways.
