Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, guys, welcome back, Happy Monday. What's going to be
like weather wisely?
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Hey, we're going to see more clouds later, but fifties,
but then it warms up seventies for tomorrow and Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Cannot believe it. In the meantime, we do have the
jingle Ball Jackpot going on, which means I've got a
pair of tickets right now for college twenty five. Uh six,
one seven, nine to three to one one one eight
is the number to call. But producer Riley will be
waiting for the keyword. You'll have to know the keyword,
and the keyword is superstar. Superstar is the keyword. And uh,
(00:33):
that's because we have my old friend Marie Defano's on
the phone from Channel five. Maria, how are you? My love?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
My love?
Speaker 4 (00:41):
I love when you call me old every time in
the radio.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
What's going on? Hun?
Speaker 5 (00:49):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (00:49):
You know, nothing has just been slow lately. No, I'm kidding.
How are you were here? When I came here a
couple of weeks ago?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
I was on Safari and I now fancy fancy Fancy
was amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
I got to tell you something, I was fearful of it.
It was the trip of a lifetime like Justin. I'm
really so listen Maria, before we get to our guy Justin. Okay,
who is, by the way, in our eyes, a superstar.
How's our buddy dougging me in?
Speaker 6 (01:20):
Doing oh much better? He's great, he's looking good. He's
doing better.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
That was a scare and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, tell you, Yeah, he's such a sweet guy, dug
me in. One of the anchors in the morning over
there at Channel five, good friend of mine. Okay, so
you reached out and you tracked down Justin from the
Billy and Lisa Morning Show, and thank you for that,
because his story needs to be told.
Speaker 6 (01:44):
I think so too.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
And so we have this amazing young woman who works
in our newsroom. Her name is Lily, and she said,
if you don't interview Justin, she said, he's the most
amazing story you'll ever tell.
Speaker 6 (01:57):
And she's right.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
I cannot even tell you, Billy, I've done it thirty years.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
She is one of the most honest, raw, pure people
you'll ever meet.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
I've never really sat in front of anybody.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Who just shed it like it is and really didn't
care what came out of his mouth.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
He was so honest.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
He's amazing. Amazing what he's been through. I just loved him.
Speaker 6 (02:27):
I really loved him.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Now, this woman that you work with, I just think
he's like a god. Right, and she hasn't even seen
his muscles.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
No, I was.
Speaker 7 (02:38):
Looking a little big in the promo video there. I
gotta say, were you flexing?
Speaker 8 (02:44):
Well?
Speaker 7 (02:44):
Listen Maria Stefanos. And I told her this when I
met her right as an intern my first week in radio.
Maria Stefanos was the first celebrity that I ever met
when I was over the moon excited.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Wow, So did you have the same when you just
interviewed Justin? Were you over the moon?
Speaker 6 (03:05):
By the way, Hi, you look William buts to when
I saw you?
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Anyway, I looked at Justin and I just I'm telling you,
I locked.
Speaker 9 (03:15):
In and he was Billy.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
It's a good interview.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
It's five o'clock tonight, and then we're gonna do more
at eleven. There's stuff running in the morning show this morning.
He's he's the superstar.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Well it's the key word. Yeah. We saw some of
the pieces this morning on the Channel five news. So
it'll be Channel five at five tonight, yep.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
And at eleven as well. So at eleven. After the
we have a football game. But after that, but there's more.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Even at eleven, he's so real and so raw.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
He's so terrific, And you know what I want to
say to both of you, Lisa and Billy. He we
talked about everything and the things he said about the
two of you, and I mean this, and no it's
not a the piece, So I'm gonna say I was.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Going to say, I'm guessing that didn't make it to the.
Speaker 6 (04:08):
But he just was.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
So I can't tell you what you both meant to him,
and how you both inspire him to do.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
What it is he does, and how kind you've been
to him.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
He loves you both, and I love.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
To hear that because I love you both too.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
So there, Well, Marie, I got to ask you so
during the interview, what was the part of Justin's story
that just blew you away more than anything else?
Speaker 6 (04:36):
I might even chow up a little bit.
Speaker 10 (04:39):
The part that he was on the common, on the
Boston Common, just leeping on the common, and that.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
He every you know, he would ask every day for
help and one day a bed opened up. One day
sort of opened up his world and then took him
down another path, and he's been on that path for
quite some time.
Speaker 10 (04:58):
I because how many times have we all walked on
the Boston Common through the Boston Common.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
There's the State House right there, and and to think
that this successful kid who's just so full of life
and wants so much more and loves his family so
deeply at one time was there and he's so honest
about it.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
Oh got it, I got it. I came hold it together,
getting emotional in the brother Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Justin for the sake of those people who might be
listening for the first time, because we get new listeners
all the time, every hour, every high hour. Give it
a nutshell of the story. Your story.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Yeah, I struggled with addiction starting at a young age.
I was in and out of facilities, jails, detoxes, on
the streets. When I was seventeen years old. I spent
many years out there, you know, hopeless. I got to
a point where I was, you know, basically dead, and
you know, by the grace of God, I was able
to get clean and stay clean. And you know, I
went back to school and had this dream of working
(05:59):
in radio, working on Kiss one O eight. And it
took many years, but I worked hard I stayed clean.
That was the number one thing. And look where I
am now.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
And Maria, he used to listen to this show in
a jail cell. I know, I know.
Speaker 6 (06:12):
It's unbelievable. It's really unbelievable. He saw it, he believed
in it, and somehow he broke through.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
The fog and he got there and he's good. And
you guys are all so good an you guys, Yeah,
you are well.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Maria, I can't we can't thank you enough for featuring
our guy Justin. Yeah, thank you, thank you, and say
hello to everybody over there, say how do Dougie? Say
hi to Eddie Hardy. We love Eddie Harding your partner there.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
I will, I will, I really all love you guys,
And thank you for Justin.
Speaker 6 (06:46):
Thank you for letting me tell you your story, even
though you tell it better than anybody. Thank you for
letting me share it with a lot of people. I
really appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (06:53):
You're welcome, and thank you for letting me tell it.
I think that you know, if we help one person,
one person that's struggling, then our job is done.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
So w CBB, I know it, I know it.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
W CBB Channel five at five and again at eleven
after the football game, right, that's it. Love you guys,
Love you Maria, Thank you God.
Speaker 11 (07:16):
She's so cool, she's so great, so cool. Let's leave
at you justin so much.
Speaker 7 (07:20):
Yeah, yeah, she's she's a hot ticket.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Hanging in there. I saw you, Justina. Let's go to
Justina your college twenty five? Do you have the keyword
of all keywords?
Speaker 6 (07:32):
Superstar?
Speaker 1 (07:33):
That's right, our guys, super superstore. Justin, So your college
twenty five? You automatically ever pay tickets for jingle Ball?
Is that good?
Speaker 8 (07:42):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (07:42):
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Now tell her what else she qualifies for list?
Speaker 2 (07:45):
How about one hundred and eight thousand dollars in cash
and for front row tickets to jingle Ball.
Speaker 11 (07:49):
That's pretty special.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
How about that? Justin Justina?
Speaker 7 (07:56):
I know you're excited.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Hold on and now you get to talk to produce,
to Riley and she'll give you all your information. Congratulations
on getting jingle Ball, and good luck on the jackpot.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
We'll do it again at nine to ten. I have
to get it together here. God, we do have weird
stories coming up. Next. We have our word of the year.
The year isn't even over. Lisa will let you know
what it is.
Speaker 11 (08:18):
Next fine kiss one await.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Seems a little weird to me. Oh my god, it's
time for weird stories.
Speaker 7 (08:25):
I'm pretty creepy with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Well, we have just about two months left of the year,
but we already have the word of the year. The
word of the year is brat, and it's characterized by
a confident, independent, and hedonistic attitude. It was also made
a sensation recently because of the Charlie XCX album Being.
Speaker 12 (08:48):
Hot, sexy and having fun.
Speaker 13 (08:50):
Partying clubs, just like being ferule, being yourself, dirty, grimey.
Speaker 14 (08:55):
Whenever you're trying to do something and you think you
have like second thoughts about it, just like, don't have second.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
Thoughts and just do it.
Speaker 12 (09:02):
Take a breath, be present, ask yourself what you want
to do, and then do whatever it is that the
first one that comes up.
Speaker 11 (09:09):
Just be hot, sexy and be yourself.
Speaker 7 (09:11):
Maya brat.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
I think you're confident, okay, I think you're independent okay,
and I think you're pretty.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
Cool a my ferrel.
Speaker 9 (09:21):
I don't know you.
Speaker 11 (09:22):
Yeah, I have to ask Jen.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
I'll have to ask my wife. Yeah. Definitely made popular
by Charlie XCX.
Speaker 11 (09:27):
Totally yeah, it was like a brat summer.
Speaker 7 (09:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
So I think I had the creepiest story of the
day earlier today when they caught that woman that was
handing out illegal bogus boatox in Randolph, Massachusetts. And now
I have got this, and I think this one beats it.
There's a dermatologist in Denver, Colorado. It explains the presence
(09:50):
and by the way, this apparently affects every one of us.
It explains the presence of a demo dex mites, which
are tiny eight legged creatures that live on our faces
while we're sleeping at night. They come out at night
to eat the dead skin cells off our face and
then they start mating. And I'm not making this up.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
If you're eating breakfast, we apologize.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
I am Scott Walter and I'm a dermatologist.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
If you're unfamiliar, demon x are little tiny mites that
live inside our hair follicles and oil glands. And get this,
they come out at night to eat our dead skin
cells and mate. Isn't that romantic? And even wilder they
can sense light with their primitive eyes, which is how
they know the coast is clear to come out and play.
So let's take a look after leaving the tape on overnight.
This is what I found.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
What is that? I think I see one?
Speaker 5 (10:40):
That little thing in the middle is a demon x
mite from my skin, which is kind of scary.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Now they especially go for the eyebrows and the eyelashes.
But by the way, they can trigger skin conditions like roseesia, acne,
and dermatitis, as well as cause issues around the eyes
and the eyelights.
Speaker 7 (10:59):
So we have bugs crawling on our skin.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
MIT's all over your face at night while you're sleeping.
Speaker 7 (11:03):
Now, they live for only two weeks, long enough, and
then their bodies decomposed in our phone.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Oh ew ew.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Well, the only thing that is comforting about this is
that this has been happening, yes, for thousands of years,
I'm sure.
Speaker 7 (11:17):
Yeah. So obviously most people like we were unaware that
they're even there, and some do develop symptoms, but very few. Okay, yeah,
they say good hygiene, Bill.
Speaker 11 (11:27):
Is they'd wash your face every night before.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
It's the red flag. Whinnie, what have you got?
Speaker 15 (11:33):
Okay, So a Florida surfer was bitten by a shark
at the exact same beach. Who was bitten by a
shark at eleven years earlier, that's great, in.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
The same beach, but now he's saying, you know what,
after two I'm not going back there again.
Speaker 16 (11:46):
I got a little look at it when I got
into close to the shore and I saw kind of
the damage, and I was like, Okay, my toes are there.
I was like, all I really cared about. I can
definitely tell you that I'm not going to be surfing
out back to the beach again.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Just pretty much all my buddies have been dead.
Speaker 9 (12:06):
Oh my god, all his buddies and him twice. That's crazy.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
Only took two bites, you know, after the second bite,
then maybe go to a lake. Yeah, maybe go to
the lakes much better. Well they have those those at
the water parks. They have those kind of oh the
ways surfing.
Speaker 11 (12:20):
Yeah, yeah, the way just go there.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Yeah, it's crazy. Anyway, What are you got coming up?
In entertainment?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Bill chapel roon Saturday Night Live the other night debuted
a new country song and sadly the music world last
night lost to Quincy Jones will pay tributes coming up next,
and by what a Boston is Benson Boone And You're
waking up with Billy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss.
Speaker 11 (12:40):
One Await, Boston's number one hit music station.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Hey Lisa, Hey Lisa Benson, looking for you.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Oh, that'll be a fun night December fifteenth at the Garden.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
It'd be fun night with Benson. Do some backflips for it.
Justin let's squeeze into talk back before entertainment. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (12:56):
I love to talk back because people can check in on,
you know, what they're doing, what they're seeing in and
around the city, you know, keep us updated on things.
That's what the talkback is really for what we love it.
And apparently there's a movie filming somewhere.
Speaker 17 (13:08):
Good morning, guys. This is Carlos. Just want to let
you know, guys, they here and Boston. They're about to
start filming a movie. I'm here in Bacon Street around
Boston University and there's a lot of kind of crew
and a lot of trucks. I don't know what movie
it is, but since why they're going to start filming.
Speaker 7 (13:27):
Today the Zendaia movie from Robert Pattinson.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (13:31):
Yeah, well he was at South Station last week, right.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Yeah, they've been all over so it could be through
the whole month of November into December.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
She's been hitting the stores, hitting Newbury Street, shopping around.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
She was on Charles Street, she was at t I
mean I love Outside last week.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
Well it's probably that movie. But yeah, any any more sightings,
any more spottings, make sure you hit us up on
the talkback iHeartRadio app free to downloads, want to wait,
red microphone Boom.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
You're inlow Entertainment Update with a Billy hot Stead.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
So it's not often we begin the entertainment report with
someone's passing. But when somebody is big as talented as
Quincy Jones dies, so you really have to go there.
Quincy Jones died last night, ninety one years old. That
is home in bel Air, and a lot of people
we get at. Young people listening now may not know
the name Quincy Jones, but you'll know his music. When
(14:23):
you think Michael Jackson, you really think Quincy Jones. I'm
talking to everything, including Billy jeans.
Speaker 7 (14:39):
Man, Michael songs too, and let's not forget Quincy Jones.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Oh thank you, Michael. Quincy Jones. Put we are the
World together?
Speaker 14 (15:05):
Now.
Speaker 7 (15:05):
You did not tell your we are the World story
last time in the six o'clock hour.
Speaker 11 (15:10):
You didn't.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
But by the way, that's a great documentary to watch.
Great documentary, so good. I think it's on Netflix. They
all saw it.
Speaker 11 (15:16):
Butgotiate it because Quincy Jones is in it.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
And I think there are two of them and We
Are the World. But think about how colossal that project
was and for such a great cause and the song
was amazing.
Speaker 7 (15:29):
Well you were there, Yeah, that's what I mean. You
didn't you want to leave that out? Humble today? You
were in the room when We Are the World. They
made it.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Well, I got to credit the late great Sunny Joe White,
who was the number one program director at the time
in the country. And it was the night of an
awards show and words started spreading backstage that there was
a really, really special project that was going to be
happening at a studio and anybody that was interested was
going to be busted over. And that's what they did
(15:57):
with all of the all of the stars that were there.
And yeah, we got to sit in a studio nearby,
so it was really like being a part of history
or being you know, being close to it.
Speaker 7 (16:07):
That's so cool, so cool.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
But yeah, we weren't in the actual studio, but we
were in the building and down the hall. All that
was going on, why do you have to do that
to me? I'm doing a real serious story on Quincy Jones.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
Oh I know, I know it, Okay.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Fun fact Michael never wanted to sing in We Are
the World. Didn't even want to appear in the video.
He wrote the song, but just didn't want to be
on at Quincy Jones uh talked him into it.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
Michael didn't want to sing or be on the video.
Speaker 5 (16:42):
He thought he was over exposure.
Speaker 18 (16:43):
First, I talked Michael and.
Speaker 8 (16:45):
Be on the day.
Speaker 15 (16:46):
That would have been one of the biggest mistakes in.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
His career if he had showed up.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Yeah, and you're familiar with the song Thriller. They teamed up.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
On that, saying it's amazing that song never gets old.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Oh my god, No, it doesn't ever ever.
Speaker 9 (17:05):
It doesn't even to be in October for you to
like it.
Speaker 11 (17:07):
Now, I still like it.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
And Thriller comes with another interesting fun fact. It wasn't
supposed to be called Thriller. The song was originally called Starlight.
That would have bombed.
Speaker 9 (17:23):
It just sounds so bad, it's so lame.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah, Quincy stepped in and said, no, we're gonna call
it thriller. Okay, So and he worked with Ray Charles
talk about another talent. He even worked with Frank Sinatra,
but he died at home last night. At ninety one Okay,
Saturday Night Live. The other night, John mulaney was the
guest host. Pete Davidson made a surprise. It's good to
(17:46):
see him back.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
He looked good, he did healthy.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, yeah, I hope he stays that way. He's so talented.
Chapel Rone was the musical guest Saturday Night, and she
debuted a new country song called the Give Her. You know,
(18:12):
I think that's going to be a country hit.
Speaker 7 (18:15):
It is country ish, right.
Speaker 11 (18:17):
She was dressed telling country of course. She was her
matching cowboy booth.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
I was gonna say, you had the Calgary yeah, where they're.
Speaker 9 (18:24):
Calling you a lesbian country song or something.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Yes, I guess yeah. The lyrics kind of take you there.
Speaker 7 (18:29):
Yeah, it's about giving you. Nothing wrong with that, the
giver yep.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
Oh, keep moving eyes, Okay, I'm.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Sorry, I just had a pause. Yea, he knows what
we're talking about.
Speaker 12 (18:48):
It.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
So we wait for this every year, and here it
is again, Mariah saying it's time. It's another so and
it never gets tired.
Speaker 13 (19:04):
Yep.
Speaker 11 (19:04):
Never gets ally No.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
We saw her perform that live, Yeah, and we can
see her again if you want. Lee it's because she's
coming to the TD guard in December fifth with the
Christmas show.
Speaker 11 (19:16):
Amazing.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
What's the over and over under on how late she's
going to be for the show? We waited three hours.
Speaker 11 (19:21):
Yeah, we almost walked out.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
Yep. It's the same as Madonna and all these other artists.
They're always late.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
You know what saved us that night she had a
really good DJ she did, and he just keep kept
banging out the hits. But December fifth, TD Guarden Mariah's
Christmas show. The Wicked Movie with Ariana Grande opens November
twenty second. Ariana says she got the blessing from the
original Kristin Jenno.
Speaker 15 (19:45):
With it was so cute and she was just like
she was just like, oh my God, like I was
hoping this would happen, like.
Speaker 11 (19:54):
I love you and I and I trust you with it,
baby girl. She was like, just do your thing.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Sounds like Christian Chenna with huh totally. She's so nice.
Olivia or on Rigo trigger at our topic time on
the Billion leads the Morning show this morning because over
the weekend. She was talking about her major league red
flag and that would be well, let her tell us,
I guess my flog.
Speaker 18 (20:14):
Okay, this is a very oddly specific question that I
ask guys on first dates. I always ask them if
they think that they would want to go to space,
and if they say yes, I don't think. I just
think if you want to go to space, you're a
little too full of yourself. I think it's just weird.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
You had a pretty good read on that earlier this morning,
that it just you know, they believe them and not
coming back, so it could be selfish.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Well that's the thing, exactly, like they're fine with just
sort of leaving everyone behind.
Speaker 11 (20:47):
And I think that was what her point was, it's
a little weird.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Do you think she runs into a lot of people?
I don't say, I really want to go.
Speaker 11 (20:55):
That was the That was the other question. How many
guys are going to say like, yeah, sure, yeah.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
It was a good, good topic. I mean that really
was Yeah. We'll do the wrap up at nine to
twenty five ish. A lot of people chimed in on this.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Another day, another performer falling through the trap door on stage.
This time it was cold Places Chris Martin. Oh my god, Okay,
he's okay. I guess one of his guys almost caught
him halfway down the hole. But yeah, he fell backwards,
which is even scarier when you.
Speaker 11 (21:29):
Think broke his back.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
It's almost like a trend doll of us.
Speaker 11 (21:32):
So it's weird. What's going on?
Speaker 7 (21:34):
Yeah, it started with post Malone. I felt like when
he fell through that. Yeah, I mean he broke a rip.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
He did The new movie Unstoppable with j Low opens
December sixth, so I guess she's going to give it
another shot. What's in her favor this time? Don't forget
she had three failed projects simultaneously in this last year, right,
the documentary, the album, and another weird movie which.
Speaker 11 (21:58):
And then the tour got can'er.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, and then she had to cancel everything. But she's
in this movie that's produced by Ben Affleck and Matt
Damon and Ben talks about the cats Stop.
Speaker 8 (22:08):
A Boy And it's a very different movie than this,
but in a way, it's similarly rooted and.
Speaker 7 (22:16):
The passion of really talented artists and Billy Goldenberg and
Jennifer and you know, Don Cheatle and Jirell.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Don Cheatle's really good.
Speaker 7 (22:28):
You know what. It was nice to him to give
the shout out to Jennifer.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
She was a big part of the movie. He was
so thankful that she did the movie. And I'm telling
her her performance. I've seen clips. It looks really good.
It's based on a true story about a wrestler who
was born with one leg but was still able to compete.
Speaker 7 (22:47):
Yeah, don't do it, Bill, My god, I know he wants.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
What's her role? Is she the mother?
Speaker 11 (22:53):
I think so? I don't know. I don't know what.
I'm just saying. I saw it and she looks great.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
I saw a trailer as well, and I thought she
looked good. Yeah, well she does look great.
Speaker 9 (23:05):
She's beautiful.
Speaker 11 (23:06):
No, but I'm saying her performance looked very good.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Okay, okay. There was an incident at a Penn State game.
Didn't your dad go there? He did.
Speaker 11 (23:14):
He was a Nitney Lion.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
So Jason Kelsey was walking into the stadium and a
bunch of people were shouting his name, and most of
them were innocent enough, but one moron shouted a homophobic
slur to Jason. He didn't take too kindly to it.
It was about his brother, Travis h So he slapped
the cell phone out of the guys.
Speaker 9 (23:32):
And then he slammed it on the ground.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
I'm not sure now the guy's calling a lawyer. Okay, Pal,
don't forget his brother Travis back on the field tonight.
But the Chiefs, the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs seven and oh,
they're going to take on Tampa Bay in the Monday
night football game tonight. Patriots lost to the Titans in
overtime yesterday. Drake May played pretty good, just not good enough.
Speaker 19 (23:54):
Some decisions that I made throughout the game that would
have impacted the outcome, and take that myself. Maybe I
go back to learn from it, and especially me, you know,
I gotta take these and take you manage of these
reps that I'm getting and knowing the game, and I
can't play better.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Yeah, he made a few really good plays last night.
Speaker 7 (24:12):
Yeah, I mean the play that you know put him
into overtime. Yeah, that was a great play. Oh my god,
he scrambled forever.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Selt's going to play the Hawks on the road tonight.
And we're brought to you by the ninety nine restaurant.
You got to try the ninety nine new fourteen dollars
ninety nine big deal. Meals four of them hearty full
sized entrees for just fourteen ninety nine every Monday through Wednesday.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
I'm telling you this Bill Costa is everywhere.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
He was there for the whole week of the World thing.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
He was in the studio with New Kids on the Block.
Speaker 7 (24:51):
Let me ask you, Bill, were you there with Jesus
wrote the Ten Commandments?
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Just asking for a friend.
Speaker 11 (24:56):
From the planet Fitness Kids one of my studios.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Hey guys, welcome back. We've got a pair of jingle
Ball tickets to completely sold out jingle Ball for Collar
twenty five at six one seven, nine, three one one one.
Oh wait, you'll need the keyword. The keyword is squirrel.
Squirrel is the keyword, Lisa, tell them why.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
This story we saw over the weekend. It happened in
New York and this couple, Mark and his I think
his wife, they have like a wildlife sanctuary where they
rescue animals. Well, Peanut, the squirrel was rescued seven years
ago because his mother was tragically run over by a
car and he was just a little baby. So they
took the squirrel in. While the Department of Environmental Conservation
(25:40):
took the squirrel was giving it a rabies test. But
I guess they have to euthanize the squirrel to do it.
So now the squirrel is dead. Seven years seven seven years,
they took the squirrel and they killed the squirrel.
Speaker 7 (25:53):
Yeah, they killed the poor peanut RW six hundred thousand
Instagram followers. I mean this squirrel was beloved. I mean
the awn is devastated.
Speaker 16 (26:01):
You know what, the best things that ever happened to us,
and we got confirmation that they put him down.
Speaker 15 (26:06):
I want to continue to.
Speaker 5 (26:07):
Free this fight as much as they can, but we
need all of you to come together and help us.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
Please continue to help us raise.
Speaker 16 (26:15):
Money for the ongoing legal battles and for a nonprofit
so we could keep Pople's fame alive.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Thank you all.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah, they take care of other animals, so this is
this is horrible.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
What brought them to the house. Was it a Karen
who called it?
Speaker 13 (26:30):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (26:30):
Yeah, somebody somebody reported them, reported the squirrel. I guess
it is illegal to house them in the house. But
he was working on him his wife, working on a
sanctuary right for you know, raccoons and squirrels, And so
they just came, took the raccoon and the squirrel and
then killed And I.
Speaker 11 (26:45):
Watched the video.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
He said that they were outside their house. They could
not get anywhere near the animals. They couldn't feed some
of the other animals for hours because.
Speaker 11 (26:55):
Of this, you know, this raid.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
This overreach, all because of Karen.
Speaker 11 (26:59):
This is Yeah, this is a crazy story.
Speaker 7 (27:01):
Yeah, now that I mean, it's like entering the political world,
you know, like politicians are getting behind it. Yeah, it's
a big story.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I mean, they had a squirrel for seven years. Who
nobody gets hurt.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
Yeah, I don't really get it. I did not know
that they had to kill the animal to test for rabies.
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
I didn't either. I just learned that for the first time. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
Yeah, I don't know. But yeah, people are outraged on this.
This is the Now there's a massive hunt to find
the person that oh yeah, massive.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Hiding out somewhere in the basement with her little phone.
Let's go to Stephanie. Stephanie, your call it twenty five
me Hi, Stephanie, do you have a key word?
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Yes, that's squirrel.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Squirrel, Yes it is so Stephanie. Listen, Congratulations, you're going
to meet us at jingle Ball. You're coming to jingle Ball.
Speaker 6 (27:51):
Thank you, and you call it excited.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Okay, well what do you hear this? You're also qualifying
for the jackpot, which is one hundred shot at one
hundred eight thousand dollars and front row four front row seats. Okay,
so hold on and producer Riley will set up Congratulations.
Why do I always assume that Karen is in a basement.
Speaker 7 (28:13):
So they have they think they did find the person.
I'm not going to say anything about them because I
don't know if it's really them, but they're going to
go after this person. Oh yeah, you know, you know Gandhi,
she used to wear Caro lives Animals outraged. She's like
at the front of the marching line.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
They need to pick it outside this Karen's house.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
Yeah yeah, so you know, we'll update the story as
it goes on.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
But rip, yeah, that's just like next that's just yeah,
unbelievable that they would kill the animal.
Speaker 11 (28:42):
But it's not the animals for the raccoon.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Don't forget the raccoon. It's the most fault.
Speaker 7 (28:47):
It's not it's not and they instantly took them and
killed them. Just something's wrong about this story.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Was it Rocky Raccoon?
Speaker 7 (28:54):
It was Fred? It was Fred? Anyway, rapubs coming.
Speaker 16 (28:57):
Up, Kids in the Morning, wrap up on Billy and
Lisa in the Morning.
Speaker 7 (29:03):
Of just tuning into the show, Welcome. Here is what
you missed and what you can catch up on the
podcast with. First of all, there was an arrest in
Randolph at a medspall oh be a nurse and was
shooting up people with fake boatox and fake fillers. That's
a crazy story.
Speaker 20 (29:21):
Good morning guys. About the boat talks. I am Brazilian
and I had a treatment done in Brazil ones and
it didn't do anything bad, but it didn't do the
same things that when I get the treatment here does.
I just didn't see like a lot of results and
I always felt like, Okay, I think this is either
(29:41):
water down or just not good. And I got feelers
as well, and I will never go back.
Speaker 7 (29:48):
Yeah, good thing. And here's the thing about the scary
part of this story is how do you how would
you know when he went to this place.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
I did.
Speaker 15 (29:55):
I went legit multiple times. It looked really good and
I got decent facials from there.
Speaker 7 (29:59):
But you can.
Speaker 9 (30:00):
Tell the pricing was a little good.
Speaker 15 (30:03):
I'm not cheap, I mean, but yeah, it had that
look of like a medspot, like aesthetically but clearly she
was cutting corners.
Speaker 7 (30:11):
You know, almost a million dollars she got people for,
and I mean she got caught. She got exposed because
you know, people started getting you know, side effects and
tingling in their head.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Now, could she go to jail if someone's lips got
really lumpy.
Speaker 9 (30:24):
Yeah, and someone's eye was kind of like sinking a
little bit.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
I mean she could, but she'll definitely have to pay
a lot of money back and then we'll never practice again.
Speaker 9 (30:32):
So, and the thing was, she wasn't even a nurse.
You have to be a nurse to reject everybody.
Speaker 11 (30:36):
She was anesthetistic statician.
Speaker 7 (30:38):
She was faking, yeah, and they were lining up to
go lining up. Yeah. A good topic this morning. Red
flags when you're dating. This came from Olivia Rodrigo. She
revealed her red flag, which is she meets a guy
and she asked them, Hey, would you ever want to
go to space. If he says yes, then she'll never
date him again. That's her red flag. What are yours?
Speaker 12 (30:55):
My red flag came from my friend recently who showed
me a text from a guy who she had hung
out with a couple of times, and he had asked
her to hang out and she didn't respond because she's
a nurse, so one's busy at work. And he responded
two hours later.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Never mind, just move on at that point, just just
move never mind.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
You gotta look for the signs I love that guy.
Speaker 7 (31:22):
We had Maria Stefanos on from Channel five as a
profile that's airing tonight at five o'clock on Me and
My story, and so we had Maria on to talk
about it, and she was very nice. You know, she
revealed that I did, you know, give some love to
to you guys, but it was, you know, ended up
on the cutting room floor.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
You know what I want to say to both of you,
Lisa and Billy. He we talked about everything and the
things he said about the two of you and I
mean this and no it's not in the piece.
Speaker 6 (31:49):
So I'm gonna say I.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Was gonna say, I'm guessing that didn't make it to
these the translations. He never mentioned us, never.
Speaker 7 (31:58):
Even did DA. There's a lot of things that I
mentioned that I know would wouldn't make it in Well.
Speaker 11 (32:04):
Thank you.
Speaker 7 (32:05):
Yeah. Tonight at five o'clock on Channel five Good.
Speaker 13 (32:08):
Morning, I just wanted to reach out and commend Justin
on his Power of Recovery commercial that I heard over
the weekend where you were able to state exactly how
many days of sobriety you've had, and it just really
moved me, and I just want to give you a
shout out for that, because that's not an easy thing
(32:30):
to do, and that's a green flag.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
If anything, honesty about.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Your own health.
Speaker 7 (32:35):
Yeah. We you know I work with Power of Recovery,
and you know that we launched this campaign. You know,
what's your day one? Because it all starts with one day,
and so I reveal what my you know, total days are,
which is today five nine and seventy seven. It's so
important because you know, I remember not being able to
get one hour. Yeah, so you get one day and
then one day turns into two days, and then you know,
(32:56):
you keep going one day at a time.
Speaker 9 (32:58):
Five thousand days.
Speaker 7 (32:59):
That's five thousand, nine and seventy seven.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
How many years pretty crazy.
Speaker 7 (33:02):
That's sixteen years. Yeah, in four months, so I've come
a long way. I mean I remember being listen, I
remember being in prison with one hundred dollars bail right,
and no one would pay it for me. I sat
there for months on one hundred dollars, and I went
for a bail review to get it lowered, and I
went before the judge and he looked down at the
paperwork and he looked at it up at me, and
(33:23):
he goes, does no one love you?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
He said that get it. The people didn't want to
enable you by getting you want love?
Speaker 7 (33:32):
Yeah, they had nothing. No one, nobody cared about you. Kid.
I just remember, like, shame, I know, I can't wait.
Speaker 9 (33:37):
He probably looked at the record and he was like,
all he needs some tough love.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Yeah, put him back, brother Hunt.
Speaker 7 (33:43):
Yeah, yeah, thank you.
Speaker 9 (33:44):
Billy could have bailed you out ten times over. What's
one his wallet right now?
Speaker 7 (33:48):
Loaded?
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (33:49):
I Finally, Peanut the Squirrel.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Oh, somebody please find that, Karen.
Speaker 7 (33:55):
Yeah, we just talked about this. Peanut the squirrel and
Fred the raccoon. They were owned by a guy in
New York. He had a whole sanctuary. Somebody ratted them
out said they had rabies. They took Peanut the squirrel
and Fred the raccoon and they killed them. Yeah, because
they have to kill them, decapitate them to tell rabies. God,
crazy story.
Speaker 14 (34:12):
Hi, Billy and Lisa, it's the fan from Plainville. I
was just listening to the story about Peanut the beautiful squirrel.
I follow them on Instagram and not only is it
so tragic that this happened, but that squirrel was trained
and he would do tricks and it's just so sad
that they had to do this. He was such a
love he was such a cutie. He had the run
(34:33):
of the house. And you know, I just hope that
something is that about this.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
And by the way, squirrels can be trained. Even if
you go to the public gardens, squirrels will come over
to you. You can feed them, they hang out. It's
a it's a tragic.
Speaker 7 (34:47):
It's a tragic story. So we'll keep you updated on
that one.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
Okay, we are back at the billion Lisa Morning Show
and a Monday morning, and justin you have to have
a lot of chalkback leftovers.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
Yeah, a lot of people checking in on a Monday.
We appreciate it. Remember, you can do it anytime of
the day on the iHeartRadio app. It's called the talk
back feature. It's that little red microphone that you press
and you can leave a message and that message comes
to me. I put your voice on the radio. Pretty
cool if you ask me good morning.
Speaker 21 (35:12):
I figured i'd share a game that my sister and
I play on Saturday nights when we get together for
dinner with the family. The object of the game is
to naturally bring up Billy Costa in a conversation and
see who can do it first. My sister won because
we were talking about what we need for Christmas and
I mentioned to my family how I could use new
hand towels. My sister said, well, if you stay at
(35:33):
a hotel, you could take them like Billy Costa does.
Happy Monday.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
Wow that game, Yeah, feel free to play along. It's
the whole edition of the Billy Game.
Speaker 7 (35:44):
Oh yeah, the chicken palm that can be in there too,
the some of the candy wine. Red Wine. You should
trademark this game.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
Oh yeah, wow, that's fine.
Speaker 7 (35:55):
Oh my god. All right, let's go to Indiana.
Speaker 22 (35:58):
What up, morning crew? The Cabby here on the way
to Arizona in Indianapolis. Last night, Taylor Swift ariostour going
on got price goug At hotels. So that was good.
And now I just woke up at six am to
eight big tornado warning, a lot of rain wind going
outside my window.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
So if I make it, I have a good one. Guys,
that's that Indianapolis thing.
Speaker 7 (36:21):
Yeah, you're not a big fan of Indiana. Well, documented didn't.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Travis showed up right surprise Taylor at her Indianapolis shows
over the weekend.
Speaker 7 (36:30):
So do they really price scrouch the hotel?
Speaker 8 (36:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 11 (36:32):
Guy, they did it around.
Speaker 9 (36:34):
Here Jilan it was like seven hundred dollars. This could
be in Foxboro for the night.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Should be part of the reason her show brings hundreds
and hundreds of millions in revenue to the city she
goes to.
Speaker 7 (36:44):
That should be illegal.
Speaker 23 (36:45):
Hey TV out in Harvard here. My wife and I
actually have the same problem that Justin and his wife had.
We have this one mouse that effectively has turned into
a zombie mouse because every time I kill him, he
just comes back the next day.
Speaker 7 (36:58):
Well, we had a mouse problem, a mice problem documented
on this show. We had my wife on last week.
She got three of them using cheese balls on sticky traps.
There have been no mouse sightings. Oh yeahs so good
since then downstairs or upstairs.
Speaker 11 (37:14):
And work got out.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
Yep. So she tried all different traps and all different
types of food, peanut butter and everything. Cheese balls is
the one, Billy. It's been five days.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
The troops are a seminar. They are so pissed at
you for killing their relatives. They're rising up and telling
you they're in the walls right now, strategy meetings, everything,
they're going all separate ways.
Speaker 7 (37:40):
Well, i'll let you know if we see more. So
there you go, all right.
Speaker 23 (37:44):
I just in its Carol.
Speaker 8 (37:45):
I met you Saturday evening at Johnny's and as I
said she then, and I'll say it again, you are
an inspiration and you said an important word this morning, hope.
So I hope you know just what in in spurry
you are and how much hope you give to people
every time you share a little bit of your story.
(38:06):
So thank you for everything that you do. Justin.
Speaker 7 (38:08):
Yeah, we met her at West End Johnny's before commerce
come home, So very nice to say. Yeah. Channel five
is doing a profile on my story at five o'clock
with Maria Stefanos. Look, I don't want this to be like,
that's my identity is I'm the recovery guy, although there's
nothing wrong with it.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
You know, but that's funny. I tell everybody I know
always in recovery.
Speaker 7 (38:29):
But you know, Maria reached out and asked me if
I would do it, and so I'm looking forward to
to watching it and you know, I hope you guys
like it.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Justin from the Billy and Lisa Morning Show on Channel
five w CVB five o'clock and again at eleven o'clock,
and we got to get out of here. Okay, don't
forget Election Day tomorrow. That's a big one and we'll
be here for it. Okay, have a great day, everybody.
We'll see you by
