Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, we're back. It's a Tuesday, the Billy Lisa Morning Show,
and we've got a pair of tickets for the Keshjuanaway
jingle Ball completely sold out coming to the TV Garden
December fifteenth.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
I mean it's sold out in minutes. Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
It's the most in demand ticket in the region.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
And we've got a pair of tickets for College twenty
five six, one, seven, nine, three eight.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
But there's a bonus, Lisa, there is.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
It's called the VIP Experience, which means you get up
front seats to jingle Ball, you go back stage that's
where everybody wants to be, and we're going to put
you up at a hotel the night of jingle Ball.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Sounds like a deal to me and caller twenty five.
All you'll need is the keyword, and let's make the
keyword livable. Livable is the keyword, and Lisa, you're going
to explain why.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Okay, So Boston dot Com this morning ten most livable
cities in America. Okay, Now, there are a few on
the list. In New England the number one most livable
city and this is because of higher education oppertus unities,
steady income growth, fresh food sources, diverse healthcare providers and
(01:05):
sports facilities. That Honor goes to Portland, Maine, Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Well, it just happens to be exactly what I'm looking for.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Portland main number one. I really do love Portland. Beautiful, beautiful,
you know, I was just saying off the air, justin that.
I remember when people first started talking about Portland Maine.
It suddenly it just exploded. All of a sudden, everybody
was talking about Portland, Maine, going to Portland, Maine, buying
summer houses, renting summer houses in Portland, Maine.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
Yeah, I mean, no one talks about it more than
you Bill, Oh what are you going up there for?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
And a lot of people were doing that.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
The fact that's a real quick that's not edited.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
It's insane.
Speaker 7 (01:54):
Honestly, the most favorite thing that's ever happened.
Speaker 6 (01:56):
On the show, right, the one of the other.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
So Boston number seventeen, the lies, okay, but New Hampshire
made number eleven. Manchester, New Hampshire is number eleven.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
That's shocking, really why. I don't know Manchester. I mean
it's okay, but I don't know, that's weird. I think
Salem is better than Manchester.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Manchester's kind of like, nah, they.
Speaker 5 (02:20):
Call it manche Vegas. Oh really that's what they call it. Yeah,
there's nice parts of it, but there's some notts on
nice parts.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
You know. The other thing about Manchester, New Hampshire that
always bugged me. It's further than you think. Yes, it is, right,
whenever you set out to go to Manchester, New Hampshire,
you're not going to Salem, You're not going to Nashville
and New Hampshire. It's at least an hour long.
Speaker 5 (02:40):
Because you gotta go up ninety three past exit five. Yeah,
and then on too. I think it's two ninety three.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
That's a weird route.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
It's not up ninety three, like you can't get you
from ninety no.
Speaker 6 (02:48):
No, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
We got chased by a bunch of Manchester kids up there,
like really bad. It caused the car accident to get us.
It was like a fight between different two groups of kids,
us in another group, and I I'm telling you it
was one of the scariest moments that he was were
chasing us in a car.
Speaker 6 (03:03):
We were just trying to get away from them.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
This was you as a young child.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, And they literally pulled in front of us and
hit another car to get us to stop.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
It was a whole scene.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Wow, that's the Liverpool thing.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Boston number seventeen, right, yeap, Liverpool is such an interesting
word to use because they're they're basing it off one thing. Right,
but if you're thinking about income and like rent and
all that, to me, it seems less liable than so
many places here.
Speaker 7 (03:29):
I'll give you the breakout.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
The socio economic ranking for Boston was one fifteen. That's
a high ranking, but the quality of life ranking was three,
so it's actually right. It was actually better than Portland.
Providence came in at nineteen.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Overall, that's a great city that has a good brid in
for I don't know four months it was.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I liked it.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
It's great, I really did like it.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Would I would still live there if we weren't, you know,
an hour and a half away or whatever.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Back off on Boston. Okay, when do you live in Randall?
Speaker 6 (03:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I love Randall.
Speaker 6 (03:59):
I love Randall. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
All right.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Number two is Lincoln, Nebraska, and then number three was
Des Moines, Iowa.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
I'm never going to either one of those going to
I know that right now in my life.
Speaker 8 (04:17):
Was it number eight.
Speaker 9 (04:18):
Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
You like Pittsburgh, Go Steelers.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Let's go to Andrea. Andrea your calling twenty five? Where
you call him from?
Speaker 10 (04:27):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (04:27):
I am calling for Middleton, Oh, Middleton which borders Lynfield.
Are you one of those people that tells everybody I
live in Middleton that right on the Lynnfield border?
Speaker 11 (04:36):
Yep, Winfield border.
Speaker 12 (04:42):
Right?
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Do you know the keyword livable is the key? Middleton's
a nice town, by the way, it really is, very
much so.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Yeah, Middleton jail.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
Not as nice as Lindfield.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Obviously the next step, but hold on, okay, you are
college twenty five. You've got a pair of tickets for
the ball, but you qualify for the VIP package, which
would mean seats upfront, backstage access and a hotel room
for the night. Can you say showtime, showtime?
Speaker 6 (05:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (05:11):
There it is so imagine watching a TV show at
home and on the TV show you see the inside
of your house or apartment on the TV show, this
actually happened to somebody. We have that stories and so
much more and our weird stories coming up next.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
This one await kids, one to wait.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Jeems a little weird to me.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Oh my god, it's time for weird stories.
Speaker 8 (05:33):
I'm pretty creepy with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
So there's a new phrase out there. I've never heard
this one before. Report show that people who are stressed
out about the election and basic state of the world
right now are doom spending. I've never heard of this
before to make themselves feel better. In fact, around twenty
seven percent of people say they doom spend to cope
with stress.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Yeah, there's some tips.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
The first tip is to get real about your budget.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
So I'm not.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Talking about strict penny pinching like.
Speaker 11 (06:03):
A New Year's resolution, but really set up a flexible
budget that works with your life. Second tip is to
know your triggers. Do you get the Sunday stairries? Is
it after a tough day work? And my final tip,
sleep on it. Impulse purchases They feel good in the moment,
but that twenty four hour cooling off period can make
all the difference.
Speaker 6 (06:20):
Telling you the online shopping can be very dangerous.
Speaker 8 (06:23):
No, man, absolutely, just click.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Amazon makes it so easy.
Speaker 6 (06:28):
Clicking ship baby.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
How did they get something to you within an hour?
Speaker 4 (06:31):
They have so many distributions center really, so.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Many fascinates me order something and it's there. In a
couple of hours sitting on your front steps. Anyway, I'm
a tennis fan, and Lisa, you're a tennis family. Yep,
I love this story. The Tennis Channel has removed analysts
John Worthheim for making fun of a female tennis player's forehead. Billy,
(06:56):
he wasn't on the air yet. Okay, but we do
have audio. I guess the mic was turned on and
he's preparing to go live.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (07:05):
He got he got caught on a candid microphone, Billy.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Oh man, what do you think?
Speaker 6 (07:10):
I am?
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Barbora Krijikova.
Speaker 5 (07:13):
Look at look at the forehead and young take the court?
Speaker 6 (07:21):
He called her an eight head? Do you know what
that means?
Speaker 7 (07:23):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (07:24):
So, yeah, you can explain justin.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
So if someone has a big forehead, you can say
they have a four your four fingers. Yeah, but she
had an eight head eight fingers. Oh wow, he's not
working there anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
No, you gotta beware the candid micro Imagine.
Speaker 6 (07:40):
He had one candid mic and he got fired. How
many does Billy have? Oh thousand thousands? Crazy?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Whenny? Please go?
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Okay, So there was one watching a show and realized
that there was a shot of her apartment. So she
was watching the show Couples Therapy and she saw a
scene straight out of her apartment. Why am I watching
a TV show and realizing the people in the TV
show live in my perfect unit? Okay, this is the apartment.
Speaker 6 (08:02):
That's their bathroom, that's my bathroom.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Okay, that's their kitchen.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Don't tell me we don't live in the Truman show. Wow,
that's amazing. The couple's therapy s I think's a few
years old. So I bet you they were just renting
and then they moved.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
Yeah, and then that must be so weird.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
There's my kitchen.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
There's my living room.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Great, actually, very cool. You got a bonus in there.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Oh, I got a good one here. So do you
hate your boss? That's a rhetorical Okay, take it easy.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Winning look at me when you say that.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
If you do, there's a new company this guy, Calimary
White started where you can hire him to come to
your work and curse out your boss.
Speaker 13 (08:43):
Is an acronym for Occupation of Kids Diversity Affairs. And
what we do is people go to my website, they
follow a complaint about their boss, or they supervisor, anything
like that.
Speaker 5 (08:55):
We show up to the job and we yeah, there's
a lot of videos of him showing up and yelling
at the boss. Are they hiring I mean maybe I'm
our boss has been a little rough lately, so you
can hire it.
Speaker 1 (09:15):

The Dolphins beat the Rams in the Monday night game
last night, twenty three point fifteen was the final. Keep
in mind the Patriots play the Rams this coming Sunday
out at you Lett. Celtics are going to play the
Hawks in the Garden tonight. Jason Tatum is questionable for
tonight's game with the ankle injury. Al Horford also said
to be questionable. And we got to talk about Dave
(11:45):
Portnoy because he's not giving up on the Brianna chicken
fry thing. The breakup was Zach Bryan, the scandal that followed.
Portnoy yesterday released another Zach Bryan disc song, we Got It.
Speaker 12 (12:00):

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Then hand out in Das, I'm the walk problem. You
can't paint it go away. He's getting good.
Speaker 8 (12:22):
He is getting good, right.
Speaker 6 (12:23):
He did shop at his skills a little bit in
the first one.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
You know he probably had seven writers.
Speaker 6 (12:27):
Oh yeah, and how many it takes.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
You know why he had seven writers because he can.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
Yes, he's right, and you know what, he's got his
girl's back, that's right.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I like that. So Brianna chicken Fry is telling more
stories about Zach Brian and how he reportedly treated her.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
I do have something that I think I just need
to get off my chest.
Speaker 14 (12:47):
One morning, like we were out the night before and
one morning I woke up or I was like scrolling TikTok,
and last night we let the liquor talp was stuck
in my head and I walk up the stairs in
the New York apartment and I'm sinking like I'm about
to make breakfast or something.
Speaker 6 (12:59):
Like last we let the liquor talk.
Speaker 14 (13:01):
He could not believe you're singing another man's song under
my roof in this house that I own.
Speaker 4 (13:06):
Like ah, Like it was a fight for I think.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
A week now. I know Portnoy is from swampscot, Massachusetts.
Where's Breonna chicken Fry from.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
We had this whole discussion. Yeah, some say sealthy Duxbury, Rockland.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
She went to Rockland High Okay, ye, so swifties now
are coming at Zach Bryan, accusing him of plagiarism, stealing
a Taylor song.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
For this Zach Bryan.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Song sounds familiar, Well, it sounds familiar because this was
Taylor's song. Should have said no, oh my god.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
Yeah, sounds the same to me.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I say, go to court, take it to court.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Well, there's there's three different songs he's being accused of
played trust of Taylor's.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
Really yeah, well that's.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Kind of creepy. They're all Taylor Swift songs.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
I have to confirm that, actually, but I know it's
that one. Maybe more.
Speaker 5 (14:09):
I producer Riley, I think she knows, she knows saree. Yeah,
three different Taylor Swift songs.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
You know what he got to know?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Zach Bryan. Has his popularity been affected at all by this?
Speaker 4 (14:17):
One hundred and twenty five percent? Really because he had
he had the white girl vote so hard, and then
now they're all team Brianna. So I think he's getting
a hit.
Speaker 6 (14:28):
Another thing that we forgot.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
I know when he knows this, But remember that Noah
Khan controversy when he was supposed to show Zach Bryan
was going to be the special guest at Fenway and
then never showed up, and Noah said, you know, I
was gonna have a guest, and it was rumored to
be Zach Bryan. Turns out it was. She confirmed it
Brianna Chicken Fry. He got too drunk and couldn't perform
and that was the rumor.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
WHOA, yeah, we had.
Speaker 4 (14:49):
That in like July when it happened.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
I did talk about it.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
We did talk about it, and everyone was like, that
didn't happen like that. They're friends, are they?
Speaker 1 (14:57):
And then there's this Lil Wayne gotta be joining NFL
Game Day Morning of the NFL Network. He'll be a
weekly guest starting November seventeenth. Apparently it's a long time favorite.
Speaker 15 (15:08):
TV shows Man, the Sports and the ESPN News part
its eruptionshit around the huh yeah, I mean.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
I watched sports basically, That's what I'm trying to say.
Sports Man. Yeah, yeah, they're.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Gonna have their finger on the edit button now.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
He's a huge sports fan, very intelligent when it comes
to sports.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Mister Wayne, Mister Wayne, this just.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
In could be good news, could be bad news. But
there will be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader season two coming
to Netflix.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Who was looking for that besides you.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Okay, So I watched a couple of.
Speaker 7 (15:45):
Episodes I under the Covers by himself.
Speaker 6 (15:48):
He would change the channel when Michelle, his wife, would
walk in the room.
Speaker 7 (15:52):
He actually called me, He goes, I don't know if
I can tell you this.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Yeah, but I'm currently watching the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
I never told Michelle, my wife.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
I'm going to text her right now and tell her her.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Hey, this is just in. Yale University now is offering
a course on Beyonce. The course is going to kick
off in the spring on the Yale University campus.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
It's her impact on American culture.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
Of course, it is which she's had won for twenty
five years, very much so.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
Interestingly, she didn't have much of an impact for the
Country Music Award nominations, but she cleaned house for the
Grammy nominations. Did you notice that?
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Remember Jay Z shame the Grammys last year, Yes, for
not nominating her.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Look like that, but she's been nominated ninety nine times.
Speaker 5 (16:40):
Behive here, let's be clear. For the Beehive, Lisa and Justin,
and then there's Winny.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
I'm saying nothing about Beyonce. I'm just saying she's been
nominated plenty.
Speaker 7 (16:50):
I just want to say they're swarming.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
I'm a member of the Beehive, one of the original
members I found.
Speaker 4 (16:57):
I think Beyonce is great.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
I'm just saying the law.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
So Megan Fox is pregnant with Machine Gun Kelly's baby.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
That probably was conceived in a weird way. You know,
they did some weird things to conceive that baby.
Speaker 7 (17:09):
Absolutely, it's gonna be her fourth child.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
She's got three with Brian Austen Green. If he do
anything after the original nine oh two, one oh some.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Lifetime, yeah, I don't. I don't. I don't remember seeing
him in much.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
Yeah, I sees in some stuff really Yeah. And then
he married who's Dancing with the Stars partner, I think
her named Shana or Shawna.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
And then they have a baby snag.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
So he's got Shawna money.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Well, I mean I don't know.
Speaker 6 (17:38):
Well, he became a dad, right.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
Yeah, But I'm like, how does he support himself?
Speaker 6 (17:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Maybe he has investments. Bill, you don't know what he
did with all his money?
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Good point, you know what, he's got investments.
Speaker 7 (17:48):
He's got no money?
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Is that still?
Speaker 4 (17:52):
It was one of ten sho it wasn't syndication on
soap Net. That's where I.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Watched it on Desperate Housewives too for time as what
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
He was on the show A guy from nine two?
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Why are you getting worked up about? What do to you?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Totally? I interviewed him a few times. He's one of
the nicest guys I've ever met.
Speaker 6 (18:12):
You were in the peach pit?
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yes, I was several times.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
That is so cool.
Speaker 16 (18:17):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Police and Argentina are now looking for Liam Payne's Rolex watch.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
This is really sad.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
His dad says the watch was missing when he received
the Liam's possessions, and there is surveillance video that shows
Liam wearing the watch right before he fell to his desk.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
This is so I mean, this story gets saturn sadder,
doesn't it the more we look into it.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Could it have been a passerby?
Speaker 4 (18:42):
I mean he did far after he fell. Where he
fell was very public. It was like on the either
like the restaurant side of like a patio, or like
the street side.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
I wasn't sure it could have been either one. Yeah,
could have been before or after.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
Either way. It's horrific.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
This year's Sexiest Man Alive is going to be announced tonight,
Bill you, I'm waiting for the call.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
Yeah, A lot of people are guessing who it's going to.
Speaker 17 (19:05):
Be, going back to the sexiest Nana life conversation. I
am going to bet you right now it is Joshua Jackson.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
He's hot, he is very high. He was Pacey in
Dawson's Creek, but right now he's on He has a
Hulu show call it Doctor Odyssey. He was also in
that other doctor movie where he played a doctor that
was like killing people in surgery.
Speaker 6 (19:29):
It was really good.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
Isn't he the doctor on the cruise ship right now?
Speaker 1 (19:32):

Speaker 3 (19:34):
He's also in the affair, the Affair, that was his
best role.
Speaker 6 (19:39):
I remember the affair.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Who did he play in the affair?
Speaker 6 (19:42):
Is one of the guys. So it was the two couples,
a boyfriend the other.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
One and he was just dating to Peter Lelongo for
a while.

Speaker 6 (21:31):
I mean how many years, Jenny.
Speaker 8 (21:33):
Oh, boy, twenty twenty years?
Speaker 6 (21:35):
You think of some highlights.

Boston Saint Patrick's Day, prect of Course, I Love, of Course,
featuring special guests k Boston Rock. He's in five American
Idol contestant Hey.

Speaker 18 (21:54):
Oh, special float appearances by Connie the Canoni from My
Stagetreet also.
Speaker 1 (22:00):

Speaker 6 (22:04):
Show that des are gathered from their north Shore homes.
Speaker 18 (22:07):
Now here's our hosts, Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
And here we are in the show studios.
Speaker 8 (22:14):
Well loved those brains and you did do Actually you
adored them while you were in them. Let me tell you.
You love your green shoes that you got, You loved
your green outfit. And then it was just what it
was cold, that it really wasn't so fun.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
And now after all these years, twenty plus, we have
a cookbook and what's it called.
Speaker 8 (22:36):
Oh well, that's good. I'm so happy you remember the name, Buddy,
So a Taste of Boston, the definitive cookbook of the
city we love. I mean, you know, we do a
lot of shows, We do a lot of promotion, and
then they kind of go into the ether, right, you
do a whole show, and that you can't really hold
it in your hand. And so we wanted to be
able to have an opportunity for folks to really read
about the things that we've done over the past twenty
(22:56):
years and make it interactive. So there's sixty chefs, sixty recipes,
and sixty stories that you and I did together.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, and it's really cool the people that rallied around us,
so you know, all the people that are.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Close to us, the people we love.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
And there was a period on Amazon during the pre
order where we were asking people to review the book.
Right the algorithm we wanted to go bestseller. Right, we
had over one thousand reviews, perfect five score. Right. The
only four score came from Justin over there in the
other stop.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
Let's not bring the room down here. It was a mistake.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
What he made a mistake in Justin's defense, a four
for a book he never reads.
Speaker 8 (23:38):
Pretty high. There you go, buddy. Well, guys, we so
appreciate your support.
Speaker 6 (23:43):
Lisa.
Speaker 8 (23:43):
We're so excited for the.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
Oh, this is going to be.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
A big one.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Here, absolutely at capacity, sold out, packed to the brills.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
That's good for you, guys.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
No, Lisa has been freaked up two or three weeks because.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
There are so many people coming. They don't know where
the putting.
Speaker 8 (24:00):
The people standing room only on the furniture.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
There's a wait list to get in to see you guys.
Speaker 6 (24:05):
So yeah, this is this thing is on.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Oh, here's what you got to do, Ji, Okay, to
do the right thing.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Okay, we're going to be a Joss and Maine fniture.
You just moved into a new house.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
I need it all.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Buy some furnish.
Speaker 8 (24:18):
It is such a good job.
Speaker 7 (24:19):
It is decked for the holidays. To you see, it's
a beautiful space.
Speaker 8 (24:23):
So excited. Well, I've watched all of them, and my
husband got to do one with you early when you
first started the book club. So it's very cool. He
is my second member. Yeah, I remember.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
That's so awesome. So in a couple of sentences, describe
our book a taste of Boston.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
So it's a great opportunity to really connect with the
chefs in Boston, Okay. And it's broken up into breakfast, lunch, dinner,
and dessert. So there's lots of different options to cook
if you're a home cook er, if you're just looking
to get more integrated into the kitchen. But what it
really does is it showcases where you should be eating
this holiday season ear in the year to come. I mean,
you can go through, you can learn about the chefs,
(24:58):
you can learn about their history, the relationship ship with
the restaurant tour, the relationship that we have with them,
and then really feel connected to the place that you're
going to go eat at. And you know, we love
this industry so much, we respect it so much, and
I think that's really what's conveyed in here is there's
such strong camaraderie among the chefs. They do so much
for our city and it's really just an ode to
(25:18):
this awesome city that we all.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Mark Wahlberg did the forwards the book. Did we're talking
Hollywood action?
Speaker 8 (25:25):
M M, yeah, that was fun. Of course we have
his brother in here and of course me. Boston is
the reason we were able to make this happen because
their goal is to bring as many people as they
can to the city of Boston, and that's our goal
with people to enjoy this cookbook too.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
You know this is sounding like the perfect holiday.
Speaker 7 (25:39):
Gets it really is.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
I'm telling you it's it's done. You can check it
off your list. Billy and Jenny will sign them for you.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:48):
Now watch this, Okay, give it to me.
Speaker 1 (25:49):

Christmas present.

A very limited Why can't be happier?
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Watch her reaction it's going to be and how much
money is going to be inside?
Speaker 4 (26:01):
You better be cut open with a big stack of.
Speaker 8 (26:05):
Nice envelope, nice white envelope.
Speaker 1 (26:08):

Speaker 4 (27:35):

Speaker 8 (27:54):

been such an awesome experience and does give me a
lot of ideas of how much goes into writing a book.
So we definitely want to.
Speaker 1 (28:03):

announced turkey toss, It's a tradition here at Kiss one
O eight happens on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving every year.
UH Top high school teams come and they toss a
turkey down to the assembly row to see who will be
the turkey Toss Champion. You're gonna want to sign up today.
Kiss oneawait dot com to get your school in. I
(29:43):
haven't checked yet. I don't know if it's already filled.
I'm assuming not.
Speaker 7 (29:47):
It goes fast.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
It was very fast, so if you want to compete
in Turkey Toss, Kiss wentawait dot com to enter. Another
topic we had this morning which really exploded. I feel
like any wedding topic always does really well. This was
a story that's been circulating online. Basically, a couple spent
sixty grand on their wedding, hoping to use the money
that they made from the guests the cash to go
(30:09):
on their honeymoon. Unfortunately, for two hundred and seventy guests,
they only made ten.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
They only made like, you know.
Speaker 5 (30:15):
Not that much, three thousand dollars wow, which is really low,
very lo Yeah, and that got the phones and talkbacks
all buzzing.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
I gave a fifty.
Speaker 9 (30:23):
Dollars wedding gift one time because I had to drive
two and a half hours to the wedding and I
was seven weeks POSTPARTU, so it was pretty generous for
me to even show up to the wedding, let alone.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Give a gift.
Speaker 9 (30:36):
And then it's been almost two years and she still
has not met my kid, so I could really care less.
Maybe she hasn't met it because she was mad at
how much I gave, But I thought that was generous.
Speaker 6 (30:50):
Looks look at ruin the relationship.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Well, it's not knowing that really aggravates you. You know,
did they get the gift? And I'm telling you, I'm
going to stick with that. When you might give a
gift and it could get lost and they assume you didn't.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
Never give it again.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
She gave fifty bucks, but only because she had to
drive so far. She thought, oh, I'll just give fifty
and now she's not friends with the woman anymore, which
is you.
Speaker 7 (31:09):
Know how I like thank you notes. In this case
wedding gifts.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Always send a thank you note like that's honestly one
of the most important thank you notes.
Speaker 6 (31:18):
You should write. H Definitely, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 19 (31:20):
I was at a wedding where somebody had a blank
check in their bag and they said, I'm not filling
it out until I see what kind of wedding, this is, what.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Kind of food we're getting?
Speaker 19 (31:29):
What is like the band?
Speaker 10 (31:31):
And I just thought, wow, that's really really awful.
Speaker 19 (31:35):
But I agree with Billy. You don't have a wedding
and then count on people paying for themselves. That just
seems really tacky.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
It's true you shouldn't think that way, but when you're
going to a wedding, you think that way. When you're
giving the gift, you're like, at least I can just
pay for myself and my guest.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
You know who's a blank checker.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Oh yeah, that's actually not a bad actually not a
bad strategy.
Speaker 5 (31:56):
When he devised a brand new plan live on the
radio this morning, she's gonna next time she goes, she's
gonna say, oh, the gift is coming.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
No, No, I'm gonna do the opposite. I'm gonna call hey,
I never got to thank you card. Do you not
get my gift? I'm afraid someone stole it?
Speaker 1 (32:11):
And that's even more.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Oh that is my strategy going forward. One of my
closest friends getting married next September, and I'm gonna be like, girl,
I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened to the card?
Speaker 6 (32:24):
Is this why you like have only have one friend?
I have like four?
Speaker 5 (32:28):
And lastly, Billy Costa's cookbook is out to Taste of
Boston with Jenny Johnson, big week. You have the launch
tomorrow night, the book called Thursday Night. It's a big deal.
You can go to is the Stone your Lincoln bio
on your Instagram Billy to buy the book.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Of course it is. What's my LinkedIn bio?
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Go to Bill's Lincoln bio or go to Amazon. It's
called Taste of Boston. And Bill's an author. Now well,
I mean he was present for it.
Speaker 8 (32:51):
He was present for all of the interviews. Actually most
of them say that. Most of them shout out to
your ghost.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Writer, whoever they You.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Know what you can still say author maybe maybe best.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Selling soon to be best selling author.
Speaker 6 (33:07):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Oh, I'll fit to be tired to imagine.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Yeah, in all seriousness, it's a it's a great book bill.
It makes a great Christmas gift.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
I'm very own, Ben Mesick.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
If I get best selling author, I'm gonna start wearing
a monocle.
Speaker 6 (33:20):
Well, we'll never hear the.
Speaker 11 (33:24):
End of it.
Speaker 17 (33:26):
What's up, Boston.
Speaker 6 (33:27):
I'm Justin Bieber.
Speaker 7 (33:28):
Just turn up this party right now.
Speaker 8 (33:29):
And we're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Okay, talkback leftovers, Let's go Justin.
Speaker 6 (33:36):
Yeah, listen, I say it every morning.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
You can always join the show on the talkback feature
on the iHeart app. You can do it from around
the country, around the world. That comes right to me.
If I think it's good enough, I'll put it on
the radio and you can hear your voice.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
It's pretty cool and like I said, from around the world.
Speaker 14 (33:50):
Hello, I'm in London, just having some lunch and listening
to my favorite morning show.
Speaker 6 (33:56):
Kiss. Wait, we did not pay her to say that.
She did it free of charge, but thank you.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Cool.
Speaker 7 (34:03):
You took us with her.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
Yeah, sitting there having some bangers and mash in London.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
Yeah, a cup of tea. Really cool. All right.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
We had a lot of talk about weddings this morning,
and I mean I could not get to them all.
We had a lot of calls, a lot of talk backs,
but a couple of stragglers.
Speaker 10 (34:18):
I want to get to Good morning everyone. I just
wanted to ask a question regarding the wedding topic. Is
the bridal party obligated to give a gift after we've
spent all this money on dresses, tuxes, bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, showers,
(34:41):
Jack and Jill's asking for a front.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
I have a very strong stance on this.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
I do too, and my stance has changed. I think
that they don't. They shouldn't have to be expected to
give a gift.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Oh, absolutely not.
Speaker 7 (34:54):
Yeah, they've spent so much money already.
Speaker 4 (34:56):
H the two weddings I were in with my brothers
and my sisters, So I him anything. But you spend
a lot of money, you care make up dresses, and
it's gotten worse over.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
The years with all the like the giant bachelorette and
bachelor party.
Speaker 4 (35:12):
Yeah, I mean alterations all in the dress that you buy, right,
it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
The shoes like.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
That old Seinfeld thing.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
We just to run.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Nobody wants to go to your wedding. Yeah, if he
were to.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Do that today, he'd say nobody wants to be in
your wedding because it's really gotten expensive with the destination
bachelor and bachelorette parties and the showers and then the
outfits for the wedding to be in the wedding party
and oh my god.
Speaker 5 (35:40):
Okay, So let me ask you a follow up there, Lisa,
with the you know, should you have to give a gift?
Do you think there should be a conversation absolutely between
you know, the person and the party and the person
getting married.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
I think the more conversations you can have with people,
the less you're going to have problems. So then people
know exactly where they stand, exactly what is being.
Speaker 6 (35:58):
Is a little awkward, though, because what do you say? Is?
Speaker 1 (36:00):
What do you say?
Speaker 6 (36:01):
I'm spending all this money, so do I have to
give a gift?
Speaker 7 (36:03):
I think it comes to the bride.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
I think the bride is that I am so thankful
that you agreed to be in my wedding. I love you,
I'm so happy that you're here with me, and I
do not expect you to give me a gift.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
That up, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (36:15):
Oh.
Speaker 16 (36:16):
I went to a beautiful wedding down in Newport, Rhode
Island a few summers ago. I went to a local
store and had a Christmas ornament made with the date
the day of their wedding as another remembrance. I also
gave a card which I left in the gift bag
that had money in it. I never got a thank
you note, so I wonder if the card with the
(36:36):
money and it was taken and the bride and groom
did not know who sent them the ornament. I never
received a thank you note.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Sad.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
That's funny.
Speaker 1 (36:45):
I was a couple of weddings where I never got
to thank you, and it's bugged me for years. Did
they get the gift because I never got to thank you?
If they didn't get that, if they don't think they
got the gift, they think I'm cheap.
Speaker 7 (36:56):
But that's a good question.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Do you say something to the bride and groom if
like six months to a year have gone by and
you haven't gotten.
Speaker 7 (37:03):
A thank you note?
Speaker 6 (37:04):
Would you?
Speaker 1 (37:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (37:07):
If I would either, I would say, oh my god,
I put my present in the car thing and we
never got Did.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
You not get it?
Speaker 4 (37:13):
Someone stole it?
Speaker 2 (37:14):
Oh god, she's sticking with that.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:17):
One last thing we discussed very briefly on this morning
this show this morning was the list of the most
livable cities. Yeah, Portland, Maine was number one, which is
crazy beautiful place. Boston was number seventeen, and I couldn't
believe this. Manchester, New Hampshire was number eleven.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
Manch Vegas, Oh my goodness, justin I'm so glad you
said Man's Vegas. I was yelling over the radio, mans Vegas.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Call it Man's Vegas.
