Now best morning show in Boston.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Billy and Lisa in the Morning. It's just a great
start to my day on Kids one o eight.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Wow, good morning, everybody. Welcome into the Billy and Lisa
Morning Show. Is a Thursday morning and Lisa Dunovan, I
can't believe it, but it's finally raining out.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
It is, and it's going to rain a lot today
all day long, and it's cold to only in the
forties m.

Speaker 6 (00:55):
In the cold November rain, Lisa, Now, rain.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Ye put some of these brush fires out?

Speaker 7 (01:03):
Yeah? I know, it's Do you think they're completely out yet?

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Is it going to take I heard that Milton is
still only fifty contained, and I think Middleton is still
a problem.

Speaker 7 (01:14):
You know what we can say this week though, for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I've seen fun well your game right now.

Speaker 5 (01:21):
We can say that how long are you thinking about that?

Speaker 6 (01:25):
That one didn't take that long. You know, I wanted
to get like real wild in the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
You know. They say when it rains, it pours, and
it's going to be pouring today, soaking rains.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Well we need it, so we do.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
And we'll get a little bit more rain tomorrow too.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
And by the way, if you get any flooding in
the basement, you can blame it on the rain.

Speaker 7 (01:51):
I have to stop every rain song justin.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
And if it rains enough, you'll probably need an umbrella.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Wasn't there an arianasan? Yes, yes, yes, yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
We've been waiting all day for this.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
I know.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, there we go, rainy day. But the brush fire
is still an issue. Keep that in mind. In fact,
states of emergency are declared as we speak in North
Andover and Middleton, and yet it's raining, So I don't
know how all that works.

Speaker 7 (02:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
But next week Thanksgiving there's going to be no frying
the turkey, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
You're not seasoned at doing it.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
This is not the time to learn how to deep
fry a turkey during a red flag season with this
many brushfires crossing the state.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Yeah, don't do it. Please use your oven.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Yeah, or let somebody else do it. It's you know, I
got to tell you I tried it once. Here's the
thing about frying the turkey. Your panic stricken all the
while you're doing it. It's true because you've never done it,
and you've heard things happen. You might catch on fire,
burst into flames. So yeah, it's really a stressful experience.

(03:05):
So you don't just have a turkey.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Just put it in the oven.

Speaker 6 (03:08):
I've never eaten a fried turkey. It's something that I
always wanted to do, but I'm too afraid to especially.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Now, but not this year.

Speaker 7 (03:16):
So there's a ton of videos on TikTok of blowing up.

Speaker 8 (03:19):
Okay, but you like set off fireworks.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I mean I feel like they're both equally as dangerous.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
Now, the fire orcs you just light him with a
long lighter and you walk away. The turkey is right there, right.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
But I gotta be honest with you. Every year and
fourth of July comes around, you know, I'm thinking of
you and I'm thinking you'd be even cooler with a
missing finger. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
I showed Billy the video of the Dodgers fan blowing
up his hand. By the way, he lost three fingers
on his hand after the World Series. It's one of
the most horrific videos. I mean, you see his friends
of videotaping his hand just blown away. I showed Bill
I go, look at this awful video, and he starts
laughing and he's like, that's that's gotta be you next
next fourth of July.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Every fourth of July all I think about because he's
a crazy person up there. Just because you moved to
New Hampshire doesn't mean you have to become New Hampshire.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
I mean, I'm saying I'm as safe as can be.
I don't hold the Roman candles and shoot them off.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Some people do that, man. So last night I hosted
a gala. It was the second year I've done it.
It's an Israeli fundraiser and a lot of people were
in from Israel, a lot of Special Forces people and
the first responders. In fact, the money raised is for
an armored emergency vehicle and armored ambulance that can go

(04:37):
in as bombs are falling and rescue people. And so
one of the gentlemen who was there last night and
actually sitting with me. His name is Vigo raz I
mean le or roz Okay, and he is a former
Special Forces soldier in Israel, and he is a main

(05:00):
character in the new Gladiator movie.

Speaker 7 (05:02):
That's so cool.

Speaker 4 (05:03):
He plays Vigo. Now, Vigo in the movie is Denzel
Washington's right hand man. He trains all the gladiators in
the coliseum. And he was at your event sitting with
me at a table. I couldn't believe it, I said,
talk to him, How am I sitting with a main
actor from Gladiator too that opens this weekend.

Speaker 7 (05:22):
Did you ask him any questions about the movie or anything?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Oh? Definitely, And I expected it. He said he loved
working with Denzel Washington. What I mean. I guess Denzel
is just such a nice guy in real life, And
he said it was awesome. But he said it was
definitely intimidating because he's kind of short, this.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Guy, but he's very he's very fit.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Yes, well special Forces. He doesn't mess around, but he
was nothing compared to all the hundreds of other guys
standing around him in the coliseum with these giant muscles
and just menacing figures. But it was cool because the
movie is such a big deal coming out this weekend
with Wicked and Gladiator two.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I can't wait to see figure. Yeah, that's very cool.

Speaker 4 (06:08):
So that was a cool experience. We have the Turkey
Toss lineup. M it's here, it's I don't know where.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
It is, giving it to you until I have it.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah that word, yep.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yep, seven, we'll announce it.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
More schools than ever. It continues to grow.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Yeah, it's gonna be a fun event at all. It
always is, but I mean last year was was crazy.
I'm actually gonna post a picture on my Instagram of
me jumping in the air in my rain suits that
was split under my pants because it was exciting. It's
always exciting. It always comes down to the wire. So yeah,
more teams than ever, it's going to be great.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Yeah, we're as into it as the actual contestants. The
various schools coming in, Like, we get really excited for
Turkey Toss. So what's happening next Wednesday? We'll give you
to line up at seven ten. And by the way,
the biggest thing this morning, are you kidding me? Mel
Robbins is coming into this studio right after nine o'clock.
Didn't she go viral just yesterday?

Speaker 3 (07:06):
She did, and she's going to tell us why.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
And she's going to tell us why she's joining Lisa's
book club.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
In early twenty twenty five, we.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
Got a big show. I guess we should get going.
So Whennye hit the button, let's go.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss Oneawaight Studios, we're back with
a Billy and Lisa in the morning on his one
o eight.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Hey, guys, so welcome back. If you're just waking up.
The good news. Of course, the rain is finally falling.
It's going to stay through the.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Day, right Lise, through the day, and it's going to
be cold to tempts in the forties and windy, but.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
We'll take it because the brush fires need the rain.
We need these fires to stop. They're still burning in
several time, states of emergency declared and at least a
couple you want to get a talkback or two in
justin good.

Speaker 9 (07:48):
Morning, it's the may or the South. Then I got
a phone call last night from a female friend of
mine and.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
She was very upset.

Speaker 9 (07:56):
It turns out she had sex with their X. I
think this is good topic for topic time? Is it
a good idea? What do you do?

Speaker 4 (08:04):
So?

Speaker 9 (08:05):
I told her, don't do it again and go on
with your life. And in auto of today's weather today,
could you please play it's rating men have great day.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Yeah, we forgot about that one this morning.

Speaker 6 (08:21):
It wasn't on my list, but there you go, there
you go.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
The entertainment update with a Billy Cobstad.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Was that the Sisters something or the Girls the Weather
Girls perfect? Oh so Bruin's boss Don Sweeney calling in
the media yesterday and explaining why he fired head coach
Jim Montgomery this week.

Speaker 10 (08:48):
I had to change courses. It's not generally been my
nature to uh, to not enter into a.

Speaker 7 (08:54):
Relationship.

Speaker 10 (08:56):
I've worked with a lot of people over extended period
of time unless they've gone on.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
To to other situations.

Speaker 10 (09:01):
And you know, in Monty's case, we had entered into
extension talks, couldn't find a deal based on what we
had offered, and then when the underperformance of the team
weir to its head for twenty games, I had to
make a decision and moving forward, that rests with me
now from a personnel standpoint, and the players themselves. They
have to understand that they're not where they need to be.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
So Monty's gone. Assistant coach Joe Saco gets the coaching job,
at least for now here he is.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
I'm excited for the opportunity. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 10 (09:31):
It's a great opportunity to be back getting anut of
the crack as the head coach.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Yeah, he's coached before. I think he spent several years
with the Avalanche.

Speaker 7 (09:40):
Okay, that's pressure, wow, some serious pressure.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Sure to turn things around, you well.

Speaker 6 (09:46):
Because he's the introim so he's got to prove himself,
you know, before he gets hired.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
What you say, next man up, Next man up?

Speaker 6 (09:52):
That's right, it's what we say around here, right, Joe,
you're not gonna get it done, next man up.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
He will coach for the first time tonight against the
Utah Hockey Club. By the way, it's in the NHL,
I know. Yeah, yeah, it's a team that I think
it's a first year in the in the NHL. Uh,
it's the Utah Hockey Club. I know it's kind of lame,
but that's who they are. Celt's gonna go to the
White House today. They'll meet with the President celebrate their championship. Uh.

(10:21):
Derek White and Jason Tatum asked yesterday if they'll wear
the rings?

Speaker 3 (10:25):
You bring a ring, I bring them on to wear.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
I'll think about it. I don't know that was the thing.
I know, she goes to the White House. What do
you think? So I knows the thing?

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Fun fact about the rings they just got the Celtics. Yeah,
first of all, I mean they're loaded with dos worth
a lot of money. But the tops open up and
when you open it, there's a QR code that if you,
you know, scan it with your phone camera, it pulls
up highlights from the finals, win, championship club.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
That's pretty cool stuff. Pretty cool stuff. And I ask
how this happens. Chris Sale was basically booted out of Boston,
constantly injured, never really pitched, and was being paid a
ton of money. So the Socks finally sent Sale to
the Braves this past season, right, he won the National

(11:18):
League Cy Young Award.

Speaker 11 (11:19):
A lot goes into this and and again, like, I
just can't express how thankful I am for everybody that
stuck by me. You know, it would have been easy
to kind of jump ship and and and write me
off and I had a lot of a lot of people,
a lot of people texting me through the through the
through the tough times, and I'm thankful for them and
I'm happy to share this moment with them.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
We did, we did write them off, I have. But
he came back.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
He came back in a big way.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
He won the SAI. Now, how does that happen?

Speaker 7 (11:49):
We cursed again?

Speaker 3 (11:51):
I think that isn't the right fit.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
I made him a lot of money. Million traded them,
had to pay the entire twenty four.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, we gave them Chris Sale and a pile of millions.

Speaker 8 (12:06):
So we just paid him this season, So the first
the last year we pay him. He actually was.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Worth the money.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
For a little fun fact on Chris Sale, the first
Braves pitcher to win the saw Young since nineteen ninety eight.
And Tommy Glavin. Anybody know what town he was from?

Speaker 2 (12:26):
He's from here?

Speaker 7 (12:27):
Yep, Oh, bill Rica?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Yeah, cool, little Tommy Glavin from bill Rica, Massachusetts. CMA
Awards last night, Morgan Wallen won Entertainer of the Year
and it was a little awkward. Actor Jeff Bridgers messed
up his name and the CMA Award for Entertainer of
the year goes two?

Speaker 7 (12:52):
Morgan, All right, Jeff.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
I love that, I love it.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
How does that happen? He's a legendary actor. Right, They're
going to hand him the script. You got to know
he did rehearsals in the afternoon, right, they always do
dry runs, and they hand him the winning card and
he gets the name wrong.

Speaker 7 (13:15):
I mean it happens to you all the time. Yea,
what up?

Speaker 4 (13:18):
Kinks? Thea aka mister Muska said, I'm hanging with Billy
Costa on the kiss to Let's Go ship Ah. Chris
Dapleton won Male Vocalist of the Year, Lady Wilson Female vocalist.
Jelly Roll performed last night. He's everywhere. Yeah, between jelly
Roll and Shaboozie. How are they keeping up with their skins?

Speaker 5 (13:39):
He's going to be on the cover of People magazine too,
Jelly Roll the first week of December.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
It was a big year for rapper country artists.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Big year.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Yeah, didn't he lose one hundred and thirty pounds.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
One hundred and ten He debuted it last night. He
looks great.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Yeah, you got to roll with it, saying, you know
sometimes wrong. This morning, I'm very giddy. I was up late.
How about this, Bruno Mars and Lady Guy got a
new song, Die with a Smile, the fastest song ever
to reach a billion streams on Spotify.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
I'm not I'm not surprised. This song is a masterpiece.

Speaker 8 (14:22):
This is the only song I will ever listen to
with Lady Gaga.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
And listened to it and over and over and over again.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
He toned her down, Yes, he made he smoothed her out.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
He took what was.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
Good about her vocals and that and and she highlighted
it the weird.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
As far as I'm concerned, Bruno Mars can't win enough.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I mean he's so talented.

Speaker 7 (14:45):
Well he was losing though in the casinos because he.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Was They came out and so that wasn't true.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Well, I think the truth to everything.

Speaker 7 (14:55):
Well, you know he's gonna do.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
You gotta roll with it forward.

Speaker 8 (15:00):
Think about Okay, but think about how much money he's making.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Fifty million, what's that to him?

Speaker 7 (15:05):
Yeah, they just they just did a trade for shows.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Oh yeah, he has so many shows with m jam.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Oh yeah, he's going to be paying that back for
a long time. The Coachella lineup announced, Lady Gaga is
in the Coachella lineup. So is Green Day post Malone,
that's your post Malone is kicking off his world stadium tour.
In fact, Megan the Stallion, Charlie XCX, Travis Scott will
not only perform, he's going to design the sets. He's

(15:30):
a designer, Okay, oh yeah, oh yeah, Well, I mean
he has a collaboration with Nike.

Speaker 7 (15:36):
He designs all the sneakers, the clothing, the merch. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
I personally don't think that man should be allowed in
any type of festival setting.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
That's just my that's just my point of view.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Oh.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
I love his shows. I went to his last show
with The Garden. It was the craziest show I've ever
been to. The Garden was shaking it. Yeah yeah, but
too many people. Yeah, I mean it was definitely unfortunate incident.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
But well the good news. This is not his festival, right,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
I don't trust him with.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Benson Boone is gonna perform and there he is again,
there's Shaboozi. He's gonna perform at Coach.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
Who else is going to perform it?

Speaker 3 (16:08):
The go Gos, the go Go go go yes, among others.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Reports this morning say Taylor Swift is going to be
on Kendrick Lamar's new album. Remember he joined Taylor on
Bad Blood. I Can't Take It Back, Look where I'm at.
We was o d like d OC.

Speaker 12 (16:27):
Remember that my doc was quite oh d idects.

Speaker 7 (16:33):
So there's more of this story.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
So in the Drake Kendrick Lamar feud, which is pretty
much over now because Kendrick pretty much crushed Drake, but
in Drake's first big disc song to Kendrick, he took
a shot at him for working with Taylor Swift.

Speaker 7 (16:46):
That was one of the big lines from the from
the dis song we.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Need a verse for the Swift.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
These top sageot you bet it job and give them fit.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
So not only is Kendrick Lamar now doing the super
Bowl halftime show and he's gonna perform not Like Us,
which is the great disc song right now, he's doing
a song with Taylor Swift after you Know got dis
by Drake. So I know you're not into the inside
hip hop stuff.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
But oh no, I'm down with it. You gotta roll,
you gotta roll with it, you gotta roll with it.
I like Colin Jos a lot from Saturday Night Live.
He's going to be hosting the pop Culture Jeopardy. We've
talked about that in the week's past.

Speaker 10 (17:19):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
It comes to Prime video with three episodes December fourth,
and now we have a trailer.

Speaker 7 (17:25):

Speaker 12 (17:28):
I'm Colin jos, the host of the brand new pop
Culture Jeopardy, the show that reminds us that without pop
culture is just culture.

Speaker 13 (17:38):
America's favorite quiz show is now packed with pop culture.

Speaker 12 (17:41):
Don't with a good time? Calling famous? Because the Internet?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
What is Haji right?

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Sad Girl Summer? Who is Olivia Repriegez? You're on a
roll for you all new.

Speaker 7 (17:53):
Pop Culture Jeopardy? Okay, I beg to differ that that's
the best quiz show.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Yeah, well, I mean, let's be honest.

Speaker 7 (18:01):
Yeah, High School Quiz Show definitely the best. The original,
the original with Billy Costa. Do we have a trailer,
I'll put one together.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
Lexington High School, The two time champions are ready to
compete again. Whose presidential inauguration was the first to be
broadcast live on the intranet?

Speaker 7 (18:23):
Can I guess you can? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (18:25):
George Bush?

Speaker 7 (18:26):
That is incorrect, Obama, I actually don't know.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
That's probably why I'm not doing the show anymore. We
are brought to you by Dover Rugin Home. They've got
more rugs, more broad loom, more affordable, faster delivery and
faster installation. You want that. Sure, you can buy rugs anywhere,
but it's much better to buy them at Dover rug Nadic,

adults in your life.

From the Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight Studios.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
We're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
What do you say we give away a pair of
tickets for the completely sold out jingle Ball which is
coming up real soon December fifteenth, the TD Garden. What
a lineup we've got, and we have a pair of tickets.
You'll need the keyword and producer Riley, the keyword is
going to be toss. Toss is the keyword. And while

(20:24):
we wait for CALLA twenty five, let's talk about the
annual Turkey Toss bring in the high school band.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Is the marching band going to be playing Baby Shock?
We can only hope the marching band will be there. Oh,
it's already guaranteed again this year. Is it the Everett
High School Marching Band? They're going to be on site
at Turkey Toss.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
Well, the defending champion Everett High School team is coming
back yet again, and we've got the list of teams
who will participate in this year's turkey Toss, and and
let's le's face it, it is America's Thanksgiving tradition, the
turkey toss. Okay, and a lot of people listening, you know,
we get new listeners all the time. They're probably saying, oh,

(21:10):
what the hell is the turkey toss? Well, the turkey
Toss happens every single Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which means next Wednesday,
less than a week away. We'll be down at the
Colosseum of Competition at Assembly Row as we always do,
and we have high school teams sign up if they'd like,
and two people from each school get to compete. Now

(21:34):
you're wondering what the competition might be. It involves a
frozen turkey, frozen solid in its wrapper, and one team
member takes the turkey and hurls it in the air,
hoping that the other person on the team will catch it.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
It sounds easy, but you know, when you take into
account the weight of the turkey, it's very slimy, it's
very wet.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Yeah, it's usually around twenty card as a rock yep.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
Yeah. Now, women doing turkey toss for a long time,
so long in fact, none of us remembers how many
years we've been doing it, But I'm telling you, each
and every year, all of us get more excited than
we would if we were at Jillette Stadium for Pats Camp.

Speaker 7 (22:16):
Yeah. It's so amazing.

Speaker 6 (22:17):
And Everett wins most years, but you know they could
get upset this year.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Yeah, and it's the pride of winning, and Everett High
has won several years. But we now have the lineup.
These are the teams who will compete in Turkey Toss
twenty twenty four. Salem High School, Chelsea High School, Wilmington
High School.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
I did any one Wilmington.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
I don't remember Wilmington ever being in the toss. WINTHROPI
is coming in Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, The Tenors
of Peabody are coming in. The Sachems of Sagas High
School also coming in this year. And I think this
is a time grotten, dunstable.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Regional hot that's new. Never heard of that.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
School, pleast.

Speaker 7 (23:04):
Don't you have family in Groton or something in Grafton?

Speaker 4 (23:10):
Not even beautiful town. It's very rural.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Is it north Shore?

Speaker 7 (23:18):
What Broughton? No? No, no, no, definitely not north towards.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
The western part of the state maybe, but not yet Western. Yeah,
I know that the retro west maybe high profile private
school here. The Groton School is in, but this is
grotten Dunstable Regional High School and swamp Skin High School
is coming in. That's good. We're always saying we don't
get enough North Shore teams, right.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
No, I've never said that.

Speaker 8 (23:43):
We always get North short teams, South short south Shore.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
We get so many North.

Speaker 8 (23:48):
Shorty south Shore girls with lakes and South short seas.

Speaker 7 (23:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
The Mustangs of Medford High School are coming in for
the Turkey Toss, as are Revere High School, Somerville High School,
Arlington High School. Are they the spy Ponders.

Speaker 8 (24:08):
Yes, And they did have an upset yeah yeah last
year that they left when there when their guy dropped
the turkey.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
Yeah, like all the kids just literally bus loads of
kids and when their guy dropped it, they just got
They marched off the field on the buses and left.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
It's the funniest thing I've ever seen at Turkey toss.
You're right, Arlington High School brought the entire town, right.
They filled the entire coliseum at Assembly Row and and
as soon as there, I mean they were in it.

Speaker 7 (24:38):
To win it.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
And as soon as the guy dropped the bird, it
was an exodus for the Gates, like they just come.
It's a vacuum, complete defeat.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
Yeah, it was like.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Humiliation for the guy that was still lying on the
ground with the turkey on his chef. So and then
of course Everett High School's coming in to defend their title.
They must have a lot of turkey toss trophies.

Speaker 7 (25:01):
Yep, a lot. And of course, you know, we have
a lot of fun, but we also make a donation, yes.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Yeah, support the Greater Boston Food Bank that's our beneficiary
and serve hope this Thanksgiving with the gift of a
holiday meal. Donate at GBFB or Greater Boston Foodbank dot
org slash holidays. I'll give that again, Greater Boston Foodbank
dot or org slash holidays. I was just at the

(25:29):
Greater Boston Food Bank a few weeks ago.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
Yeah, we love them.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
They do amazing work there. What a facility.

Speaker 7 (25:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:35):
So you can watch the turkey Toss on kiss oneaweit
dot com. You can listen on the radio the old
fashioned way or on the iHeartRadio app. That's going to
be Wednesday, seven am.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Make this your family tradition.

Speaker 6 (25:47):
It's a family tradition. Sore looking forward to it. Congratulations
to Rachel and Beverly. She won that sold out jingle
ball tickets also qualified to be the VIP. We'll do
it again for you at eight ten. But coming up next,
are you likable or unlikable? We're going to answer that
question for you next.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
Hilly and Lisa's annoy.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
And Lisa right now is going to tell us whether
we are likable or unlikable.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
All right, so we've all had an experience or two
about being around someone that just rubbed you the wrong way, right.
You don't really know what it is, but they do
things that make them unlikable. I have the list of
the most unlikable traits, so listen up because you may
do one of them. The first one is interrupting people constantly, right, so.

Speaker 4 (26:32):
You don't want to interrupt in a circle of people.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
Another thing that makes you really unlikable and annoying is
talking only about yourself and a conversation.

Speaker 7 (26:42):
This is a massive one for me, me too.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
Yeah, when you talk to people and you realize you
don't realize it at first with the person, especially just
meeting them.

Speaker 7 (26:51):
But after a little while you realize that.

Speaker 6 (26:53):
We're only talking about them, right, And even when you
try to bring the you know, the conversation to yourself,
they somehow find a way to bring it back to them.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
That's a pet peeve of mine too, because a lot
of people like even say something medical, oh you know,
I just had an operation, and say, oh I had
an operation, it was worse than that one way. Do
you hear it?

Speaker 7 (27:11):
Like they jump right in, well, that's the one upper too. Yeah,
that goes along with it. Yah.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
You know, I have several people in my life that
do that. That was actually number three billion one upping
in every conversation. Okay, number four being the perpetual critic,
always critiquing, I hate you alied that right. Another big
one right now is checking your phone mid conversation.

Speaker 7 (27:33):
Who right? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (27:35):
Now, yeah, do we think that in twenty twenty four
that's still a problem. I feel like everybody's on their
phone all the time. It's kind of more accepted than
it was.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
I don't know, that's conversation.

Speaker 8 (27:46):
I think it depends on what the converce like, Well,
is it one on one group conversation? Are you like
actively having a conversation, are you looking them in the eye, like,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I think it depends on what what's going on, right,
if it's.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
If it's in work, if it's a work situation and
you know, people are working stuff on their phones. But
if you're like sitting with a friend and they're like
really confiding in you and you keep looking at your phone,
that's kind of rude.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
You know what's similar to that? And it bugs me
too if you're talking to somebody and you know they're
not really listening to you. Yeah, they're looking over your shoulder,
like as if they're missing something while you're talking, and
I hate that when.

Speaker 7 (28:20):
They do that. Yeah, the eye contact is always good.

Speaker 6 (28:23):
My wife and I have a thing because one time
we're in a restaurant, you know, on a date, and
we looked around and noticed that many of the people
that were at dinner around us were on their phones. Yeah,
you know, on dates, a man and a woman, and
so we kind of made a decision that when we
go out to dinner, we put the phones down so
that we can talk to each other.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
I like that, totally agree with that.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
This one I think is a big one over sharing
personal details. Too soon.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
It's a big one, like it makes people feel uncomfortable,
Like what should I be knowing that about you?

Speaker 13 (28:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (28:54):
Right, so you mean like offering it up unsolicited, Yes,
saying it with us? Yes, sometimes it comes up nat
surely somebody.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Yeah, you're like, okay, we're over sharing, right.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
Like if I meet someone for the first time and
I say I'm getting layser of hair removal on my
whole bossy.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Don't I want to say that it's a bit much.

Speaker 7 (29:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
Let's say you walk up to a bar and you
say hello to somebody else who happens to be there alone,
and the first thing you say is, yeah, my wife
just left me. Like it's you know, say a lot exactly.
Hold on to it for a few minutes.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Do you want another one?

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Being chronically late.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Oh my god, I hate poplarlate me too. I hate pularly.
I'm always like, no, that is anxiety.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Joe Pianda dooci if you're listening, is he is he
a late guy? Oh my god? There's the schedule and
then there's Joe P's schedule.

Speaker 7 (29:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (29:43):
Yeah, you know, some people have a real problem with this.
They cannot be on time no matter what I don't
know what it is, but they cannot no matter how
much they plan, they have to be late, even when
they don't want to be.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Tell me a time, then come an hour later.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
Yeah, but I love them.

Speaker 7 (29:57):
I hate it.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
You want to be punctual, I know, but they think
with the phone. If they tell you that they're going
to be late, then then that makes it okay.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
But times they don't tell you what I mean, like
you're like, hey, like where are you?

Speaker 4 (30:07):
I mean, your time is as important as anyone else's, right,
you know, here's a big one.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Gossiping about others.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
I love to go.

Speaker 7 (30:15):
We gossip, Everyone does it.

Speaker 4 (30:18):
I mean, that's come on, what I do without gossip?

Speaker 3 (30:20):
You are gossip.

Speaker 7 (30:23):
You know those who gossip to you will gossip about it.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yes, I don't trust any of you.

Speaker 8 (30:29):
Oh no, no, no, I keep If I don't want
you guys knowing something, I don't tell want of it, right,
But if you want everyone to.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
Know, okay, I'm gonna have to disagree, because you know
who the biggest gossip in this building is justin I
have gotten so gossiping the last company.

Speaker 7 (30:46):
Ye not true?

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Oh yeah, yeah, everybody in the building.

Speaker 2 (30:51):
And so from that station.

Speaker 4 (30:54):
Not true.

Speaker 7 (30:55):
And also I am the safe keeper.

Speaker 6 (30:58):
I know the secrets of everybody in this building because
everyone comes to tell me things because I don't leak them.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
But we have to say do not say anything, do
not say anything anything. If you don't say that, you
tell everybody.

Speaker 7 (31:10):
You rain, I'm on the radio like you. Yeah, do
you believe?

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yeah? Yeah, you always know when somebody's talks with Okay,
you get a promise you're not going to say anything.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I'll know if you said something I didn't tell anybody else.

Speaker 7 (31:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Yeah, you can't wait to leave that person and go
tell what he just told me telling you.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
As soon as you tell one person ten people.

Speaker 7 (31:31):
No story changes. Yeah, that's how it goes.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
The more people that know, the better because they can't
blame it on you.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
Yeah, I like the business or not likable.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
I think we're very unlikable.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Oh, extremely unlikable.

Speaker 10 (31:46):
Me.

Speaker 16 (31:47):
I think we did.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Okay, I think we're okay.

Speaker 7 (31:49):
Yeah, I think we each maybe have one I don't
at least sound if you have any of that.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
I think.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I think I know people that have a lot of thesis.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
As do I.

Speaker 7 (31:55):
Well, that's why we're coming up on top of time.

Speaker 4 (31:57):
So six one se one oh a, come on, let's
gossip six one seven nine three one one oa. Justin
how do they get to the talkback mic?

Speaker 6 (32:07):
And remember, if you want a gossip to us, remember
you have to add don't say anything otherwise it's freewayn
jump on the talkbacks on the iHeart app. Search Billy
and Lisa in the morning and set a little red
microphone that's called a talkback.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
Topic time. Next thing. Wee wait, what is the topic today?

Speaker 5 (32:24):
We're going to be talking Billy and Lisa present topic time,
talk amongst you topic time.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
So Lisa came in with the listener earlier this morning.
And these are things you can say or do that
can either make you likable or unlikable.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
Right, and are you guilty of them?

Speaker 5 (32:39):
Social habits interrupting people, constantly talking only about yourself, one
upping in every conversation, checking your phone mid conversation when
someone's talking to you, over sharing personal details too soon.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
These are some of the things.

Speaker 7 (32:55):
Well, this topic time, the late one is a big one.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Chronically being late.

Speaker 7 (32:59):
Yeah, that's a that's a big one.

Speaker 13 (33:00):
Hey, good morning everybody, Yeah, Peppy of mine's people being late.
We have some family members that are constantly late. So
I tell my wife, party's at one o'clock. You tell
him to be there at eleven, and Dan, they'll be
there at one, and.

Speaker 7 (33:14):
It works every time.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
Good Heck, I'd love to hear from somebody that's late
all the time, that can't be on time to explain
why that is.

Speaker 4 (33:22):
Well, I will say my friend Joe Pianderdosi, and I
love him dearly. He's like a brother.

Speaker 7 (33:27):
Well where's Joe.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Joe lives in the area. He could very well be listening.
And Joe, you know what I'm talking about. You are
famously late. Everybody knows.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
Have you ever asked him why?

Speaker 15 (33:37):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (33:37):
Yeah, Well now it's a running gag. I said, we're
on our time, you're on Joe time.

Speaker 7 (33:41):
Okay, Well, there's being late, and then there's also being
too early.

Speaker 16 (33:44):
My godmother, I love her so much, but we'll set
a time to be somewhere.

Speaker 15 (33:49):
We'll be like, hey, be here at ten o'clock and she'll.

Speaker 13 (33:53):
Be there an hour early, like an hour like being
late is one thing, but when you're an hour early,
like I I'm not even ready yet, Like, don't be
at my house an hour early.

Speaker 16 (34:03):
No, thank you.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I think that that's annoying.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
You know what's weird about the people who are always early,
they say you're late. They don't tell you that early.
They just take it like, well, you're late, I've been
here for an hour. Okay, that wasn't the time, So
I'm not late.

Speaker 7 (34:18):
I'm on time. I'd like being punctual.

Speaker 6 (34:21):
I just I like showing up at the right time
to the minute, because I don't want to be labeled.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
See, I have a lot of anxiety around time. My
dad growing up was if you're on time, you're late.

Speaker 8 (34:31):
So I literally have anxiety about being late, and I'll
I'm never really late, and I'm always basically on time
or early or from five minutes late.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
I feel like I'm a failure. So thank you, dad.
I know you're listening. Thank you dad, because I have
anxiety around time, actually entire life. I do too.

Speaker 5 (34:47):
I'm with you, Winnie, but I also think it's this
job because we have to be on time.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Oh yeah, it starts without you, it does.

Speaker 6 (34:54):
Yeah, yeah, okay, So asking you shall receive I asked
for anyone who is late all the time to call
and explain it. And wouldn't you know a chronically late
person works in this buildings. Are on the phone right now, Gianna,
who was on in the afternoon.

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Occasions, always to explain herself. Is she on the phone?

Speaker 7 (35:14):
You there?

Speaker 16 (35:15):
Yes, good morning guys.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Okay, Jianna, what's with being late? What's with that?

Speaker 16 (35:21):
So I'm actually lead to an event that I'm supposed
to be hosting at Encore as we speak, and I
am blaming the traffic this time around. The traffic is
so bad right now, Lisa, can you vouch for me here?

Speaker 4 (35:34):
So bad?

Speaker 3 (35:35):
But it's always bad.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Plan for this g Yeah, Gianna, do yourself a favor.
Never say you're late because of the traffic or my
alarm didn't go off. You just don't say that.

Speaker 7 (35:46):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (35:46):
By the way, what's going on at Encore? Are you
having an event for like people who gamble overnight? Some
how could you possibly be doing.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
At eight am?

Speaker 16 (35:56):
I'm actually doing an event called seed Funnel, so it's
volunteers are packaging meals for those that need this Thanksgiving
saying I'm late for this on the air. But here's
my real answer as to why I am late all
the time. And I went on a date and I
was late for the date and the man said, you

(36:17):
know you're not late. You're just living in the moment chronically, You're.

Speaker 4 (36:21):
Am That was so nice.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
He clearly wanted to sleep with you.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Very generous.

Speaker 7 (36:29):
Did you get lucky?

Speaker 16 (36:32):
My, I can't. You lived at the moment, my girl,
We lived in the moment.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
Wait, Gianna, last night you had your big Wicked event
you saw in early pre screening of Wicked.

Speaker 7 (36:44):
Were you late for that?

Speaker 1 (36:47):
No?

Speaker 16 (36:47):
I was so long time for the For one, it
was probably the first time I was ever on time
in my entire life.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Well, because you cared about that event deeply?

Speaker 16 (36:56):
Yes, yes, I deeply cared. And it was at Chestnut Hill,
the showcase super Lux in Chestnut Hill. So I said,
you know what, I got to leave two hours before
the an hour.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
Hey, how was the movie?

Speaker 7 (37:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (37:10):
Oh my, it was unbelievable. It exceeded my expectations. I'm
not gonna lie. I when they said there was a
Wicked movie, I was like, no, this is going to
be trashed, no matter who the casts, no matter what happened.
You can't take an iconic musical and put it on
the big screen. But they did. They nailed it.

Speaker 4 (37:29):
I'm guessing Ariana Grande sounded fabulous.

Speaker 16 (37:33):
She it's like you weren't watching Ariana Grande. I looked
at her and I said, this is Glinda. I didn't
once think, oh, this is Ariana Grande. She was a
completely different person. And you know, she started in the theater.
She started her career on Broadway, and it's good to
see her go back to that and not be the
pop star that we're used to knowing it was awesome.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
How about this. We're in topic time and now we're
getting a movie review on the biggest movie of the year. Everything, Gianna, Okay,
thanks for the call.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Try to say don't be late.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
Yeah, don't put fifty bucks on red for it.

Speaker 7 (38:11):
I was going to Karen. Okay, is it Karen or Karen? Karen?
Line two?

Speaker 12 (38:17):
Kin?

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Is this Karen or Karen?

Speaker 16 (38:21):
Karen Kelleen?

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Oh kareem Yeah.

Speaker 17 (38:24):
That's what you pronounced it. I'm from Perule, Oh beautiful.

Speaker 7 (38:29):
Yeah, I'm half Peruvia.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (38:32):
Oh that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
So, okay, you late or early? What's your pet? Peeve?

Speaker 16 (38:38):
I am always late.

Speaker 17 (38:40):
I've been living here for twenty years, so I think
that that was like a culture shop for me, showing
up to God. It's in Karu. You tell one time
and then you show up two hours later. And that
was part of the culture. I grew up like that,
so it was like, oh, people, why do they have
to be on time? That was something that I the
struggle or try to figure it out. I steel late

(39:03):
for events, for parties, but for important things like my warp.
You have to you get fire, right.

Speaker 4 (39:09):
Yeah, well you have an advantage when you're late. Just
say you're on Peruvian Time's Peruvian time, Thank you for
the call.

Speaker 5 (39:19):
It's cultural sometimes, I guess, yeah, I get my family's Peruvian.

Speaker 3 (39:24):
Yeah, they're all well, then you should start to be late.

Speaker 7 (39:26):
Actually, know what, My dad's usually late.

Speaker 8 (39:28):
Actually not there you go, and I think about my
love and east side. My dad's the only one that's
ever on time.

Speaker 6 (39:34):
Like, actually, wait a minute, my dad is late all
the time. Now that I think, yeah, I never thought
of it like that. Yeah, he's late all the time.
It must be a culture thing maybe, And.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
He was just he was late to the last few
things I went to with you guys.

Speaker 7 (39:48):
Yeah, he always says around two, sometimes it's three or four.

Speaker 5 (39:52):
He's never on time, annoyingly, always on time. I think
it's becoming annoying to everyone.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
No, no, I like on time.

Speaker 16 (39:58):
On time is great.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
I think six family gets annoyed.

Speaker 7 (40:01):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 16 (40:02):
I need to add something to the unlikeful list because
my sister is just like this. I love her, but
I also can't stand her. She is an extreme people pleaser,
so she doesn't give you any time to breathe. If
you're in a car, she's like, are you okay?

Speaker 2 (40:17):
Are you hot?

Speaker 14 (40:17):
Are you cold?

Speaker 7 (40:18):
Do you need my jacket?

Speaker 5 (40:18):
Do you need me to drive?

Speaker 12 (40:19):
Do you need me to do this?

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Do you want me to bush your hair?

Speaker 7 (40:23):
Long?

Speaker 10 (40:23):
Like that?

Speaker 4 (40:24):
It comes out of a nice place, but it's so annoying.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
I hate people pleasers. Oh my god, I hate them.

Speaker 7 (40:30):
It's tough though, because people really struggle with that.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
But you know what I hate it is people pleasers
that say they're people pleasers then they're not.

Speaker 8 (40:36):
It's like, well, I'm not pleased by you, so you're
actually not a people pleaser because I'm actually annoyed by you.

Speaker 4 (40:41):
Well you're pretty hard to please.

Speaker 7 (40:42):
Yeah, difficult to please for sure.

Speaker 18 (40:45):
I used to work for a woman who was late
all the time, and one day she commented to me
that she was sorry she was late, but that a
long time ago. She realized that there's absolutely nothing to
ever be in a rush for that. Her brother was
rushing one day because he was late for school and
ended up dying in a car crash, and so she

(41:07):
made a decision early in life that she was never
going to be in a rush on anyone else's schedule.

Speaker 7 (41:13):
Okay, I mean r I p to, but you can
leave a little bit earlier and not have to rush.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Yeah, that's the thing.

Speaker 8 (41:20):
Is like, if you're there's a situation where you start
being late, and then you're going to risk your life
to not be more late, Like just take your time, right,
Like no one's saying to die, but maybe you planning a.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Little bit earlier. Like that's what we're like.

Speaker 8 (41:33):
We just like we plan to be somewhere, right, But yeah,
don't kill yourself to get somewhere.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
But it's funny, we have a long list of pet peeves,
and yet most people are locked into the time thing
is the big one.

Speaker 17 (41:44):
I am a conical lad person and the running joking
my friends and my husband, but I think it's truly
because I just have no sense of time.

Speaker 18 (41:54):
I have no idea how long it takes to do
anything or get anywhere, and use it.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Yes, if I'm trying to map something out, like I
would have to put so much energy into accounting.

Speaker 17 (42:04):
Court every minute and second before getting there.

Speaker 18 (42:06):
I'm trying my best, I really am.

Speaker 15 (42:09):
It just never pans out to be on time.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
I feel for her, but I can never be her friend.

Speaker 7 (42:14):
Well it's almost like a character defect.

Speaker 4 (42:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
Well, because it's the easiest thing you can fix. Yeah,
you really can't.

Speaker 7 (42:19):
That's what I mean.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
I have no content a time.

Speaker 8 (42:21):
Okay, we'll go to watch if Joe Pantidosi knows that
he's named that right and you exit, Yeah, and you
get bummed out when he's late all the time.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Yeah, we'll fix it. And don't use traffic as an excuse. Okay,
Like I did an event yesterday at the seaport. Okay,
I knew there was going to be a lot of traffic.
There is always an insane amount of traffic, So you
allow for it.

Speaker 7 (42:43):
Just allow for it. Yeah, you leave a little bit early.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
I am not that hard Brazilians.

Speaker 17 (42:46):
I'm known for being late.

Speaker 15 (42:48):
It is just part of the culture.

Speaker 17 (42:49):
And I mean late, like half hour an hour late.

Speaker 15 (42:52):
And when I got married, I already had the American
culture great in my brain, and I walked down the
aisle all time while people were still walking into the church,
and I remember like see faces looking at me like wow, already,
why did you start so early?

Speaker 7 (43:09):
So yeah, I hated that she was americanized.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
I've been late for a couple of the weddings. That's distracting,
distracting to everybody. They all turn around and look at you.

Speaker 7 (43:21):
That whole list.

Speaker 6 (43:21):
The late one was the one that stuck out. But
then the other big one too was like you know
the leakers. Oh yeah, that one of gossip.

Speaker 7 (43:30):
Like mister Billy over there.

Speaker 5 (43:31):
I had an uncle Billy much like your billy that
would tell everybody everything, and so we nicknamed him.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
Tell a Billy.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
You guys can borrow if you want.

Speaker 7 (43:45):
We just got it.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
I'm okay with it. Spread gossip.

Speaker 3 (43:53):
I have a way to make your morning more efficient.
