Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's kiss nice Sharon, and we're back with the Philly
and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Kiss one of it.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Hey, guys, welcome back. Turkey Toss ended a few minutes ago.
We're still set up here at Tony C's at Assembly Road.
It's very peaceful here, Lisa, compared to what it was, say,
fifteen minutes ago.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
It was pandemonium.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Oh man, I am. We almost got knocked down and stampeded.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
My headset fell off. I know, I think we're gonna
lose Lisa. For a second.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
We apologize. We couldn't do the jingle ball tickets at
seven to ten, but we've got a pair of jingle
ball tickets right now for College twenty five at six one, seven, nine,
three eight. And I know Riley you're back there at
the board in the studio. The keyword will be Everett.
Everett is the keyword for the jingle ball tickets. And
I'm standing with well the five wins in a row Everett. Guys.

(00:52):
Right now, I've got Marvin and for Breese, U for Breese.
I'm gonna start with you. You were the tosser when
you took a look at where Marvin was standing for
the final toss of the event. Did you have any
doubt at all you could reach him?

Speaker 6 (01:05):
No, I was actually the catcher. But okay, so.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Let me go back here to for Breece. No, Marvin,
you know, knock it off with it.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
We're not cowering over you.

Speaker 7 (01:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, well I'm sorry. I'm terrified just standing next to Marvin.
I gotta be honest with you, Marvin. I would never
line up across from you ever on any field. So Marvin, again,
when you saw for Breece at the mark you needed
to hit, you have any doubts at all?

Speaker 8 (01:33):
No, I trust is fab We've been practicing it a lot,
and I know if I got it backed, if I
was gonna catch it.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Now, you say that all the time, as does your coach.
That you practice all the time. Audi you practice for
this wacky event.

Speaker 8 (01:43):
Oh wait, A lot of heavy stuff, A lot of
heavy stuff, a lot of heavy bags, heavy turkeys, medicine balls, Yeah,
all that.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
So but when we get out here, it's just easier
for us.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Now, all of that besides helping you for turkey toss,
does it help you with your actual football game?

Speaker 8 (01:57):
Yeah, A lot of hip movement, a lot of body
was helping football a lot.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
So yeah, I helped us a lot.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Now for brace, you were standing there and I think
it was Peavity High had the lead. Yes, you had
to be behind that mark and it was a long distance.
You had no doubt you'd get that bird.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:13):
I was very confident because my cultu right here. Mister Nauman.
He actually told me like to count off the steps beforehand,
and my steps were at eighteen and peoples mark was
at thirteen. So like if you replayed a video, I
put my thumbs up them though, like we really got
in the bag.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Now you landed on your back. Did the turkey knock
you down? Or did you just take the fall?

Speaker 6 (02:31):
It's actually probably a catching tickenique to like secure the turkey.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Of course it is. Okay, we're learning something about turkey toss.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
That's a winning technique. If I I'll say.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Well, guys, I got to tell you you got the
five feet five turkey tosses in a road when you
go home. Is it a source of pride?

Speaker 9 (02:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (02:47):
A lot of prizing, yep, a lot of it, A
lot of tradition, Everett. People see us, they expect excellence,
and we brought that out here today.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
And you keep the Turkey Toss trophy on displayed at
the school.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Yeah, we actually have like all of them and it's
playing the eighties office.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
They're gonna set us a picture and we're gonna post it.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Wow. You know we're gonna start handing out Benner so
you can hang them in the basketball court. Congratulations for
Breese and to Marvin. We do have sold out jingle
ball tickets for you guys, and also really really nice
gift cards for the holidays, so best to your families.
And congratulations on a fifth Turkey Toss. Okay, guys, thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Oh wow, and congratulations to Jackie from Worcester. See she
was our jingle Ball winner. Sold out jingle ball tickets.
I'll do that again at nine to ten. But coming
up next, Josh Brogdy is here. He was on the
field for Auby.

Speaker 10 (03:32):
Answer was something out there I can't wait to talk about.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
We'll wrap everything up with Josh brogodea Turkey Toss twenty
twenty four.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Now back to Billy and Lisa in the morning on.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Kiss Hey guys for welcome back boy. Are we in
post Turkey Toss and mode? As I look around, you
have to understand we all get here, by the way,
Billy here, Lisa here, justin here, winning here. Josh from
Channel five is still hanging out. We get here when
it's really dark out, very early in the morning, and
there were already a lot of kids pouring into assembly

(04:06):
Row for the turkey toss. And now as I look out,
it's a beautiful sunny day, and interestingly, the work crews
are still trying to get the turkey out of the
trees that ever and high through Good Point. Josh Brogerdeer,
you were here for last year's turkey toss. You kind
of know the history of turkey toss. What were your

(04:27):
thoughts when that turkey went in the air whenever it tossed?

Speaker 10 (04:31):
You know, my first thoughts were, can they really beat
that line? I mean thirteen steps? And I will give
a lot of credit to Salem. I will give a
lot of credits to PbD. They had great showings today
and I thought, if anyone can do it, it's these
boys from Everett and Boom.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
They got it, because I think we were off to
the most impressive start we've ever had. Right at Lisa
turkey toss.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Come when peabd overtook Salem, I was like, Okay, this
is this is this is on.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It usually starts slow, you know, and then it gets
us gets warmer. But it started hot.

Speaker 11 (05:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Oh, just the first toss of the day, I said, oh,
this could be over.

Speaker 11 (05:10):
Salem was feeling pretty good about themselves.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Yeah, and Arlington was feeling good because they're the only
team out there that's been able to upset Everett, although
this was Everett's fifth year in a row. When you
were out there, what were your observations.

Speaker 12 (05:24):
I mean, honestly, I think at first I thought that
Everett might lose because we had the first few that
were really really far back. But one second for Breese Walkton,
he like was like ten steps further from the line.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
I was like, oh, they have it. It's money in
the bag.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
And Lisa, you did an awesome job on the sidelines.
People were chanting your name. That was cool.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
First time ever.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
I loved those cheerleaders from Wilmington.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
And Everett justin I'm going to ask you to describe
the scene once Everett caught the bird. It was insanity.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Well, they rushed the field as the kids usually do,
but this year, you know, usually we moved you know,
down the field a little bit. They kept coming.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
Yeah, they were following with us, and all of a.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Sudden, I was being surrounded. I was blocking, Yeah, I
was blocking, and you and Lisa were running. I was
trying to protect you guys.

Speaker 12 (06:12):
And well, this is funny as Lisa almost got clipped right,
and her headphones came off and I had to grab
her headphones because they were lost.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
And Billy is running ahead of her. Abody, Billy, I
say to.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Himself, right, no, because the mob and I have to
call them a mob. That was an excited mob. They
suddenly changed directions and started coming out us. And I'm like,
you know, I've got this leg injury. I want to
make a big deal about it. And I fell down
an escalator yesterday at a mall historial Tell later, But Josh,
I think I asked you very early this morning when

(06:44):
we started the broadcast. You're doing live hits back to
channel five, and by the way, shout out to w
CVB Channel five. We love Dougie. I work with ericall
love every year. But how do you describe your assignment
to your assignment editor when you're leaving the station and

(07:04):
heading to Turkey? Toss, I use this.

Speaker 10 (07:06):
Phrase, do you mind if I have fun all morning
and they say, yeah, fund's part of your job, and
I say, all right, because we're doing a little play
by play, a little sideline interviewing, and it's something you've
never seen before.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I got to tell you. Our boss came up to
me and they said, dude, best turkey toss ever. And
you're a big part of that. Josh, you really helped
to bring it all together to.

Speaker 11 (07:27):
Be here, honored and grateful. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
So does that mean we have you back next year
for Turkey Toss twenty twenty five?

Speaker 11 (07:33):
If you're inviting, I'm accepting all right and never.

Speaker 5 (07:36):
Jugging me in. I want to be able to go back.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Oh, we'll see if we can get that.

Speaker 11 (07:40):
He's got a big job.

Speaker 9 (07:41):
You know.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
He is my silver Fox, that guy.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
And I love Antoninette. I love Antoinette Antoinette. We wake
up with them every morning.

Speaker 10 (07:48):
Yeah, you're suggesting a live remote here next year with
Doug and Antwine.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
No, bring the whole anchor team. Anchor from Tony is huge.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
We have been in the back.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
All right, We'll talk about one more question on Dougie men,
how many pocket squares does he have?

Speaker 11 (08:03):
Infinity? I believe is the number.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Yes, Josh, great to see you. Thanks again, great turkey
tossanks again for having me.

Speaker 11 (08:10):
This is fun.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
We got to take a break. We're coming up on entertainment.

a brand new Christmas song out. Adele has a box
set out, and oh, we got a lot coming up

Speaker 5 (08:44):

dream when you get back.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Yeah, Coletly, Oh my god, I don't know about you, guys.
I thought best turkey toss ever, totally.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Oh absolutely. And you know you can watch all the
all the action on Kiss one I wait dot com
kis on Instagram. All the pandemonium. It was insane. And
you know we were at Tony C's Assembly row, so
I did not see the talkbacks, but I can see
them now. People get them in. That's good.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Happy Thanksgiving money Crew Captain Mike Gadden is two cents
for a usual. Justin, you should be one of the
receivers with that George Costanza jacket. You're wearing. No chance
you would drop the ball off that thing.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
It's so true you're still wearing it right now.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
I was telling Justin when we were walking out to
the Gridiron that he looks like a superhero.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Yeah, he really doesn't. He was as big as most
of the giants from the teams.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
I really see it when I take pictures with you,
with three of you, like I'm going to post one
from Tony CS and I just look like a giant.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
You work hard, You're you're wide and too big.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
No, Justin, I love it.

Speaker 12 (09:50):

are five time champion. Ever does not have a game tomorrow,
I know.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (11:50):
I was talking to Marvin and for Breese, very very
sweet boys. Means were saying so nice, so such nice
young men, and they were saying that no one wants
to play them any of the arrival and they don't
have anyone that wants to play them.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Yeah, they had a game last year, but it's like
on off and off.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
So do they just win the season by default?

Speaker 12 (12:07):
Well, two weeks ago was their last games. I don't
know what the record was, but they're done.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Salt's going to play the Bulls Friday night in Chicago.
The Bruins were shut out by the Canucks last night.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
I'm going to go see it again with my family.

Speaker 12 (12:24):
Any of us see Wicked yet, Nough, I will say
my TikTok is all wicked right now. So I feel
like I've seen the movie. I've been singing the songs,
I've been doing the choreography.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
I don't even like musicals, but I feel like this
has been forced upon me.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Rucer Riley saw it, I know, and she said it
was great.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Oh good. And our buddy, the Rock, of course, is
in Mowana, Io and he says his character is based
on his grandfather.

Speaker 6 (12:45):
My grandfather.

Speaker 9 (12:47):
He died here in Hawaii, and he died in nineteen
eighty two, and we were here when he died, and
I was running around. I didn't understand the significance of
his passing.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I was ten. Yeah, he was just like Maui and.

Speaker 9 (13:03):
From his build to his hair to his charisma, and
he would sing and he was loved Juju. So every
time I play Maui, I'm in the skin of my
grandfather and it's and it really moves me.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
I love the Rock such a nice guy. He's married
to a girl from Lindfield and he did something very
cool for my nephew, Buddy DJ Costa. It was Buddy's
birthday and The Rock sent a long birthday message for
him on video. I remember, that's the kind of guy
he is.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, he's great.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Great.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Ed Sharon coming out with a new Christmas song. It's
called under the Tree. We've got a cliff.

Speaker 13 (13:37):
There is nothing under the tree. Ju to come back.

Speaker 12 (13:46):
To me and be lucky, have a loste and nothing
will fillow mahbi be.

Speaker 13 (13:57):
Under the Tree.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
I think it's a beautiful song.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
It is a beautiful song. But how do you think
artists decide if they're going to do a Christmas song.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
I think it's a feeling that they have. They like Christmas,
so they're gonna do it.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
You think do you think he sings like that to
his wife all the time?

Speaker 2 (14:13):
I think so.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Imagine right, Yeah, aren't they childhood sweethearts?

Speaker 7 (14:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
They went to high school together.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Wow, we sang pretty much?

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Is that Christmas is canceled, no present for anyone. We
talked recently about Timothy shallow May He's in the Bob
Dylan biopic that comes up on Christmas Day. Apparently he
does as many as forty Dylan songs and they dropped
to teaser yesterday.

Speaker 13 (14:37):
Yeah, yes too, laugh about he.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Has forty songs in the movie that he performs live
on guitar and harmonica and singing live take after take
after take.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
I had goosebumps.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
You can see how much love and how hard he's
worked and how much he cares about.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
Getting this right. He does the harmonica to Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
He's saying, this is like one of the best performances
of the year.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
What a talent.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Oh yeah, he's so good.

Speaker 12 (15:06):
I saw Wonka Whatever the Charlie Want Whatever on a
plane and I was just like, Wow, I wouldn't have
probably watched it otherwise. It was so good and he's
so good, Like he really is a character actor, Like
he's really really talented.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Adele announcing a new box set, all of it recorded
during her A Vegas show. She did over one hundred
of them. It's coming out in February with the fifty
six page picture book. And Jason Kelsey says he can
have as many Taylor Swift concert tickets as he wants,
but he never asked, you know, Thankfully.

Speaker 14 (15:39):
I don't get a lot of people reaching out, okay
for Taylor Swift tickets. Okay, it is an immediate no,
But I don't get a lot of that. As much
as Taylor has said she will take care of anybody
that I asked for?

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Are you serious?

Speaker 14 (15:52):
She does say that's very she's great, But I still
say no to everybody.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
That's pretty cool. Yeah, Gwen Stefan, he was on fallon
last night. She did a hollaback girl with classroom instruments.

Speaker 15 (16:04):
I thought I was cute, pretty cool stuff.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Everybody gets to do that if they go.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
On the show, right, It's a great Segment's got some
cool segments, pretty good.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Sad news this morning, Wendy Williams or guardian, her personal
guardian says she's permanently incapacitated. He says it's at a
critical point. Keep in mind, Wendy Williams was an intern
of this morning show. She was That's where it all
started for Wendy Williams, and she got so big.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
You used to get the muffins, Yes, I used to
get the muffins.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Well, she preceded you as the.

Speaker 12 (16:58):
Imagine that she Honestly, she's an icon. She did a
lot for women in media, so absolutely, as one mean,
I always looked up to her, and it's very sad
to see how things have gone for her at the end.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Tomorrow is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. We always watch it.
I know it sounds lame to you, You're so cute,
but Michelle would not do Thanksgiving Morning without having the
parade on.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
I've actually been to the parade. We did that one
year as a family. We went to New York and
we went to the Macy's Day parade.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Is she almost get hit with a float?

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Yeah, yes, exactly.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
It's fun. You should do it sometimes.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Wait, Juey McIntyre is doing it this year.

Speaker 12 (17:33):
Yes he is, well said, do you think Billy watched
it because he wishes he was hosting it?

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Well, he used to host the parade sat Patti's Day
Parade I did for two or three years.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
Thank you for She's the parade guy in the lineup
tomorrow besides Joey Mac, Jennifer Hudson, Ky the Minogue Loud
Luxury is going to be in the parade, as is
t Paine and Charlie Demilio, and so they're got a
big line up. It's kind of weird because they're never
matching the voice of the music with voice.

Speaker 12 (18:00):
I also want to I also want to note that
a Mini is getting her own float this year for
the first time.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
No good for many go women.

Speaker 12 (18:07):
Because I went to Macy's a few weeks ago we
were doing a promotion. Macy's did a new line in
honor of their new float for her.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
And uh, before we get out of this, I think
it's right to thank all of the schools that came
in for Turkey Toss. Salem High, Chelsea High, Wilmington, Winthrop,
Peabody saw them. Uh not Winthrop Waltham.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Yes, I don't know where you got that list because
they switched out.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
He was the oldest and I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
It's last year.

Speaker 4 (18:32):

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Now that's Billy and Lisa in the morning on kiss.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Hey guys, welcome back. By the way, if you tuned in,
we had the Turkey Toss. Everett won for a fifty
year in a row and I don't even think the
turkey's landed yet. I mean, what a toss that was.
It hit the trees and came back into the stadium.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Impressive.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
Yeah, they're awesome.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Wow. So that's that. And because of Turkey Toss and
we're on the field of battle, we couldn't do jingle
ball tickets at seven ten. We did do a pair
at eight ten, and I've got another pair right now
for call it twenty five at six one, seven nine.
You'll need the keyword, and the keyword is breaking news.
Breaking news is the key word, because justin here's the

(20:03):
deal on the jingle Ball VIP. This is the last
day today. McCabe is going to have another pair at
twelve ten, another shot at the VIP, and then at
three ten the v bros will have the final winner, right,
that's right, and they'll announce the grand prize VIP winner.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
They'll put all the qualifiers in a hat that Mikey
used to wear before he got his new hair. Oh yeah,
and then they'll pick out the VIP winner.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
But then we have huge news, right, breaking news.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Yeah, starting at four to fifteen this afternoon. I don't
even know if you guys know this yet, but starting
at four to fifteen in through the entire long weekend,
through Thanksgiving all the way to Sunday, we put aside
a bunch of sold out jingle Ball tickets and we're
giving them away every thirty minutes from four to fifteen
this afternoon until Sunday night, every thirty minutes. So all

(20:57):
you have to do is listen, to win throughout the weekend.
So no matter where you go, right, so, you can
listen on your radio old school, but if you're traveling
with your family or your family's house, you can always
listen on your phone, the iHeartRadio app or smart speaker.
I mean we encourage that all the time. Tell Alexa
play Kiss, Wan to wait on iHeartRadio because you don't
want to miss it every thirty minutes. Your chances of
being at the show just went up significantly.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Now, my guy Adam, who is the marketing guy, he's
in charge of geake a little crazy. He is setting
aside my aforementioned agreed upon take it before this thirty
minute deal.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
Right hopefully, Yeah, it could be given away this weekend.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Oh quickly on the Turkey Toss. A lot of people
who missed out on it. Michelle. I was talking to
my wife Michelle. She said, oh my god, I forgot it.
I was busy with the dog. They can see highlights
right from Turkey Toss this morning.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Yep. You can go to Kiss one oweight dot com
or the Kiss Instagram.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
Page or Facebook. They have the whole video is live. Yeah,
so it's it's update to watch.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
I was just watching the finale, the final toss, and
the pandemonium that followed. Lisa, first of all, Justin, I
don't know how you escaped the mob.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I just stood still and just kind of took them,
you know, as they ran into me.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I saw the wave coming, and I saw the waves
shifting in our direction way, and that's when we scattered,
and I literally was almost trampled early.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Are they don't slow down for anything?

Speaker 4 (22:15):
They didn't. They didn't see me.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
It's like they're running for their lives.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
I was jumping across the field. It's crazy.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
Yeah, they knocked my headset off me.

Speaker 12 (22:23):
Yeah, I know, thank god I found it before I
got run.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah, but they do it. I do.

Speaker 5 (22:29):
I love it. I'm like all for it.

Speaker 7 (22:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
When the bird was flying on that last throw for Everett,
you know, I'm like, I had the distance and I
thought to myself, are they going to drop it? But
they catch it every year.

Speaker 12 (22:41):
But this was what happens when you practice and you
take you know, good care of the bird.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
You want to start practicing now for next year.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
They've got some little techniques that if you rewatch it
on Kiss when Away dot Com teams for next year.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Look at the field.

Speaker 12 (22:57):
They have the secret, but it's not it's but it's
right in front. You can watch what they're form you
can watch how they do it. You can practice like them.
Start practicing now if you're a junior.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Some of the teams when they when they went up
to throw the turkey and catch it, they don't even
stand in the right position. We are the winning markets.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (23:15):
We had to tell multiple the teams even if you
catch it here, you're gonna lose because you're not you're behind,
you're in front of the line.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
So make sure you go behind the line.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, and there was a little there's a little incident
that just came to light. Oh that has to do
with turkey toss and me as the marker with the
spray paint. Something happened. We'll explain it a couple of
minutes in the wrap up, but first let's go to
Whitney Online.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
Four.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Hey Whitney, good morning, you're calling twenty five. Where are
you calling from, Whitney.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I'm in Gloucester.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
Oh, they're back to school in Gloucester.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
Right, thank god.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
I'm assuming you're a mom.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Oh my god, a twelve year old and a seven
year old.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Old man we're busy and they're back to school in
Beverly and Marblehead too, So the teacher strikes are finally over. Well,
it's a tentative deal, but I think it's gonna go through.
But Whitney, you've got a pair of tickets for jingle Ball.
Just give me the keyword if you could.

Speaker 13 (24:08):
It was breaking news.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Yeah, and remember that for this afternoon, right trus in
the breaking news the big thing.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, twelve ten is your next shot with McCabe. Then
the v bros at three ten and then they'll pick
the grand prize VIP and then starting at four fifteen,
jingle Ball tickets every thirty minutes on Kiss one to
wait all the way until Sunday night. Pretty big deal.
But coming up next we have the wrap up and
something that happened out there on the field.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Next Kids one Away into the morning wrap up on
Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Oh man, what a morning it was. Turkey Toss twenty
twenty four is in the books. First of all, you
can go watch it. You can relive all the excitement
on the Instagram, Facebook, Kiss went Away, Kiss went Away
dot Com. But Everett once again for the fifth year
in a row one turkey toss at the end. It
was crazy. Before I play that audio, the crowd was nuts, right, guys, Yeah,

(25:02):
it really was. You have all the different schools. I mean,
Wilmington was was cheering. I mean they were chanting. I
love Lisa. It was just it was amazing. But yeah,
ever it went last day with the reigning champions. They

(25:22):
had to beat Peabody and they did. Let's take you there.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Here's the deal. Last year, the bird almost landed in
the trees. That's how far he drew it. So Everett
High looking for a fifth turkey toss. There is tension
in the crowd and he's into the pump and the
final pump and.

Speaker 13 (25:39):
The bird goes. It's a pus.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
And it was at that point that the crowd that
was jumping on the field made their way right towards us.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
It was it was like a stampede on Yellowstone. It
was a it was like you could hear it, the
thunderous stampede coming right at us.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Yeah, and a lot of those were football players from
Everett and let me tell you, they're rock solid. So
they were bumping into me.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
I gotta give it to Peabody and Salem, though, I
think it was the best start of a turkey toss
we've ever had. They both threw it a very long way.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
They set the bar very high.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah, much different. Usually I feel like the kind of
you know, slower throws, the slower start. But yeah, they
started strong. And congratulations to the winners, Marvin and and Fabrizio.
They were the winners for Everett, and we asked them afterwards,
was there any doubt they were going to be the champs?

Speaker 8 (26:46):
Nah, I trust is fab We've been practicing a lot,
and I know if I got it backed, if I
was any catch it.

Speaker 16 (26:51):
Now.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
You say that all the time, as does your coach
that you practice all the time. Do you practice for
this wacky event?

Speaker 8 (26:56):
Oh wait, A lot of heavy stuff, A lot of
heavy stuff, A lot of heavy bags, heavy turkeys, medicine,
balls and yeah, all that. So, but when we get
out here, it's just easier for us.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, congratulations to Everett. Everett's jokes worn to know.

Speaker 12 (27:09):
I talked to the coach their their turkey tells coach
he is a principal at one of the elementary schools
in Everett.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Yeah, we know what he's in right. Yeah, that's that's
his connection.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
He must have not heard you making fun of him
right when probably not, But he just knew what he did.

Speaker 12 (27:26):
He was just this little short man that came in
and taught these guys how to throw a turkey.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
He he takes like he took six guys off the
team and then they have.

Speaker 4 (27:33):
A like a throw off.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Yeah, And his son was there so he could be
next man up.

Speaker 5 (27:39):
His son will take over that coaching.

Speaker 13 (27:41):
He's like, it was all me.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
I was go relive all the action. But but butts, Butts,
there was a little incident that we just were made
aware of. Oh, so, Gianna who works in the afternoons
with the v Bros. She was the turkey. She was
in the turkey costume. She was picking up the turkey
as they throw it off the ground, and she just
sent me a video from the aftermath in the parking lot.

(28:04):
In one of the teams, not ever, but one of
the other teams. Now, I was the marker, So I
had a can of pink spray paint and I would
spray paint where they caught the turkey, where her feet
were planted. Apparently I spray painted one of the catcher's faces.
He was covered. He is covered in pink spray paint.
Is it hard to get off his face? It's on

(28:25):
my hands, I'm not sure, but in them I know.
And I just want to say to that, to that
young man, I'm sorry, but you know what, it's the
name of the game.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
You are wild today.

Speaker 12 (28:37):
You literally got someone's foot. You you don't care, you're lawless.
You know, you'll just spray wherever you feel like turkey.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Well, there's rules, but like anything, you know, I'm trying
to get the closest mark possible. If your foot is
in the way it's getting sprayed.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
It'll be challenged due if something goes wrong. You got
to get her dune.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yes, yes, And you know what when I go to
spray paint the mark of where they land. Sometimes after
I do, I'm so excited. My finger stays on the
button and you catch you straight? Is what it is.
It did flip me.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
The bird, I think?

Speaker 5 (29:06):
And well he didn't even catch the turkey. So the kid,
I mean, the kid should have been focused on that.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Any other complaints. Bill Costa at iHeartMedia dot com. Uh, anyway,
we will say goodbye coming up next. Before we do,
we'll have some Talkback leftovers on what people are doing
this weekend, more about Turkey Toss, and some other random questions.
Talkback Leftovers next from.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
The Planet's Fitness Kiss One Await Studios.

Speaker 1 (29:31):
We're back with a Billy and Lisa in the morning
on Kiss.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
Yeah, we're all sitting here back at the Medford Studios.
By the way, I want to thank producer Riley. She
yes the command center, the entire Turkey Toss.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
Very proud of her.

Speaker 12 (29:44):
She ran the board, she answered the phones. She kept
us on time because we couldn't see what time it was,
you know, so we knew when to go on air.
She was phenomenal. We appreciate her so much.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Talk about throwing her into the flames.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
We really really.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
Did, because she's never been here alone.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
She goes, I was actually sweating.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
The whole building was empty.

Speaker 5 (30:03):
She was there with us.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
That's a lot of pressure.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Good job, you did a good job justin.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Give us some talkbacks. Great morning this morning.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Oh my god, we're going into a long weekend, so
you know, always let us know what you're doing, what
you're up to, any plans. We love that.

Speaker 13 (30:20):
Good morning.

Speaker 11 (30:20):
It's the May of the South. Then well, I'm off
to pee Town.

Speaker 16 (30:25):
You know, the gay version of the Golden Girls. We're
all going to meet and talk about our studio fifty
four days. I just want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. Billy,
hope your flight goes out, okay, And Lisa Winnie enjoy
your dog and Justin have fun at Mourana. Happy Thanksgiving, you.

Speaker 5 (30:46):
Too, have fun at Peetown. Do gay things?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Oh yeah, it's very gay there.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
It's gay towns.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
But that's okay.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
I love it here. It's the happiest place you could
be in.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
It's very gay and it's very gay.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
All right, there you go. Everett was the champion for
Turkey Toss, and let me tell you there was If
you haven't seen the video yet, go check it out
on kiss winawait dot com or all the socials. But
that end, when the players were rushing on the field,
I mean they hit some of them hit me. Those
are some big guys.

Speaker 13 (31:15):
Let me tell you, I graduated high school a long
time ago.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
We played against Everett High in football and it was
literally like getting hit with a Matt Trump.

Speaker 13 (31:23):
They're insanely strong and insanely large.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
I don't know what they put in the water over there.
But them boys are big and they're strong, so it
doesn't surprise me that they win the Turkey Sauce every year. Yeah,
they put it on a show this year, but that
turkey went sailing into the air.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
It's not just the size though, right, because there were
other teams that had big players.

Speaker 5 (31:45):
My god, Peebty was crazy and Arlington those boys were
like six ' three.

Speaker 6 (31:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
I was, oh my god, they're huge. And Millia, did
you say they're hot? I go, no, they're children, I said,
they're huge.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Yeah, it was. It's the technique too. But anyway, Happy
Thanksgiving everyone.

Speaker 17 (32:01):
Hey, it's your girl, Sarah from Maine. I was just
calling to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. And I'm sure
a lot of you will be flooding the kidtery and
preport outlets on Black Friday. That's fine, Thank you, Thank
you for coming and spending your money in Maine. And
then once you do, please see your way out on

(32:21):
I ninety five South.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Thanks.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
Sarah from Main hates people. Yeah that she hates people.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Yeah, we love that you're coming, but we're happy to
see you go.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Yeah, and you know what, I understand that you know
she lives up there year round. People come up there,
they visit, and then they leave.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
It's God's country up there.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
You know, it's there. It's their state, which I understand.
And finally, if I could, if you will indulge me
for a second here before we say goodbye. Today is
November twenty seventh, And on this day, seventeen years ago,
I had just started dating a beautiful girl named Jen,

(33:01):
and we both had some issues. But she had checked
into a detox facility in Danvers and when in hopeless,
I picked her up on this day and she's been
clean ever since.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Wow, So today it's her anniversary. My wife Jen, seventeen
years clean. So I just wanted to send a congratulations
and tell her that I love her and never forget.
You know, I picked her up from a detox. I
was in a rooming house. I was renting a room
for one hundred dollars a week. I didn't have a TV,
I had nothing. We used to lie in my little

(33:36):
twin bed and just dream about what we would do
if we would get our lives, could get our lives together.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
Boy, if that is love? Huh?

Speaker 5 (33:43):
And look and look what seventeen years later, what you
guys have been able to do it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Yeah, amazing things just from uh, just doing the right things.
Dany clean one day at a time.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
And one day at a time. That's the key. You
work it. It'll work for you.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
One hundred dollars a week. They saw that deal.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
That's what I was going to Actually.

Speaker 12 (34:00):
I'll be sober to be in there.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
It is gonna be sober.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
You got to be sober.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
I could do it.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
You got to share a kitchen and bathroom showers. You
have to wear shower shoes.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
All right, Gid enticing.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Congratulations to Jem Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Really congratulations.

Speaker 2 (34:17):
Yeah, it's a big deal for her, So congratulations and
uh and I love you.

a safe Thanksgiving. Lisa, I know you're flying out to
South Carolina to be with the family. Have a great time,
have a safe time. Miss you already.

Speaker 4 (34:31):

but we'll see about that. And happy Thanksgiving to you,
Justin and to you winning to say hi to Coda
for me, you dog spending his first Thanksgiving with you.

Speaker 12 (34:44):
Yes, and my birthday is on Sunday, so I think
is my birthday present for myself?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Did we have to we have to still celebrate when
it's on a weekend.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
We'll be celebrating on Monday.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
First of all, we celebrate.
