Speaker 1 (00:10):
You don't get them now, you may never get them.
It's kind of an interesting wing one to pronounce. I
hope I get it right, gabrie En saying g A
B R I E N S E n G.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
What's that all about?
Speaker 4 (00:25):
Well, the Instagram handles are weird because it's only everyone
has a unique ones, so people have to be creative.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
And that's probably no one ever finds her or him.
But anyway, that's the one. You've got fifteen minutes six
one seven nine three one one eight to call and
get through to producer Riley. And if you do while,
you get a pair of tickets for the jingle Ball
which is coming up December fifteenth. Huge lineup, fabulous now
it's going to be great. So we talk a lot
about Taylor.
Speaker 5 (00:49):
Swift, right, this was the year of Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
This morning we just told everybody that she was Spotify's
Artist of the Year twenty twenty four, and she is
number one on just about every list you look at.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
You just found out.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
She's going to be on People magazine.
Speaker 6 (01:02):
Yeah next week. She's also on the list of top
selling books. Last week, her book was sold exclusively at Target.
It's the biggest publishing launch of twenty twenty four. It
sold over eight hundred thousand copies.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
The only other book to do that is.
Speaker 6 (01:18):
The Barack Obama book Wow, which sold maybe two thousand
more books than she did.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
And you know who's part of that publishing record. That
would be me and Lisa, because yesterday we got a package,
Oh my God, from the record label in Nashville, Tennessee,
from Taylor Swift and Lisa.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
We got a personal note from Taylor.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
I just want to read a few words.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
She starts out the letter with, oh, hi, as we
conclude the wildest, most extraordinary adventure of my life, the Ariostour.
I wanted to share with a few friends my memories
from it. And then it goes on and she says,
love Taylor.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
I posted the video on the Kiss Instagram at Billy Lisa,
I'm boxing it yesterday.
Speaker 7 (01:59):
It was really cool.
Speaker 8 (02:00):
Can you hold that up, Lisa, I want to see that.
It's very big.
Speaker 5 (02:03):
It's a coffee table book. It's great.
Speaker 8 (02:06):
Put you let it down. Bill, Okay, I like the letter. Okay,
apparently Taylor wasn't listening to this show this year.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
I'm not a swiftye.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
It's funny because it was actually literally addressed to Billy
and Lisa from Taylor.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Okay, here's the thing. No matter what happens, not a
swifty Yeah, no matter what happens, you justin find incredible joy.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
And destroying it.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
For me, I'm not a swiftye.
Speaker 8 (02:30):
Okay, can you hold the book up while I play? Sure?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Get your book delivered personally by Taylor Swift. I'm not
a swift.
Speaker 8 (02:42):
You are.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
So Lisa. We have to share the book like you
get it for a week, I get it for a week.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Professor Professor.
Speaker 6 (02:51):
Producer Riley said that we should I should frame it
with the note and we should keep it in the office.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Cool, which would That's a really great idea.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, I don't think enough people would see it in
the office. We need to put it.
Speaker 7 (03:02):
Some point no one comes into the office.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Let's put it someplace public, like let's rent some space
in somebody's window downtown.
Speaker 8 (03:08):
Okay, that actually actually is really cool. Yeah, actually I'm
happy for you guys. It looks nice. So are you
going to open it?
Speaker 1 (03:15):
I would like to open it. I like to see
some of the pictoris because.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
The book itself is wrapped and they haven't unwrapped it.
But if but what they probably could do is not
unwrap it and then resell it.
Speaker 7 (03:29):
I'm just saying it's an opportunity.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
I just love the fact that she actually wrote this note. Yeah,
she was handwritten.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
This isn't one of those like posted cards from the
office in Nashville. This was something Taylor sat and thought
about and wrote out to us.
Speaker 8 (03:47):
Yes, I watched I don't know what it was, one
of her documentaries. I forget which one, but I was
watching it in like. She one of her fan club members,
this guy that was just he was a fan of hers, Yeah,
wrote her a letter and she invited him to come
to one of her album release parties or something, and
she brought him and his and his friends. There's a
(04:07):
random listener. So's just She's always.
Speaker 6 (04:09):
A letter I will love to well. I do like
to write letters thank you notes too.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
That's the thing about her is she really has always
from the beginning of her career, stuck with the whole
Like I'm gonna write thank you. I'm knowledge people know
your name. I'm gonna like she really does do a really.
Speaker 8 (04:28):
Good job of that.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
She's gonna take a whole year off when she finishes
up this weekend in Vancouver, so join her for dinner.
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Her people are saying that she's thinking about doing well,
she's taking a year and yep.
Speaker 8 (04:41):
All right, well let's go to line three. I think
we might have a ticket tag win.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I love that. Good morning.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Who's this?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Please?
Speaker 9 (04:49):
Hi?
Speaker 10 (04:49):
Good morning missus.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Gabrian Aing not sing but gabriean Aing. Yes, well you

Speaker 7 (05:05):
Good I'm shaking and I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah we can hear it.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Are you crying? Are you crying?
Speaker 8 (05:13):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, you guys.
Speaker 8 (05:15):
We love that.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
We love that. You know what, you're the perfect winner.
You're gonna have a ball at jingle Ball.
Speaker 8 (05:20):
So I like that.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
You'll have a ball at jingle Ball. Hold on, and
as a bonus, you get to talk to producer Riley.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
She's very nice, and we'll.
Speaker 8 (05:30):
See you at jingle Ball. So we'll call the next
name in nine ten. There you go for the ticket tag.
But coming up next weird stories. Kiss one Away, Kiss
one Away.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Seems a little weird to me. Oh my god, it's
time for weird stories. I'm pretty creepy.
Speaker 9 (05:47):
With Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
Well, it's that time of year.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
The snow is falling, and mas dot has its own
name of snowplow contest right now. They've extended the deadline
to December thirteenth. But in Redmond, Washington, they just got
five new snowplows and they've asked their town to name
all of the vehicles.
Speaker 11 (06:07):
Here are the official five names you chose for Redman's
new snowplow fleet, coming at at number five. Betty White
out the fourth place, the Big Laplowski number three, snowbygne
Kenobi second place, Scoop Dog your top pick, Salt delete.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
Oh that's good, that's funny.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
I like scoop Dog.
Speaker 8 (06:38):
Yeah, we should submit some to the to the mass.
Speaker 6 (06:40):
We said, and they extended the mask until Friday, December
thirteenth at five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Oh cool. So the Rockefeller Christmas tree lighting was last night,
but footage of a different lighting ceremony at Trinity College
in Dublin, Ireland went viral this week. A ton of
people showed up for it. They counted down to the
lighting and nothing happened. No way, why yeah and nothing.
(07:19):
They tried it twice and still no lights. They were
having some sort of middle lecture and they never went on.
Yeah there were no lights yep in Ireland. Oh boy,
And don't forget tonight is the tree lighting in Boston
by the State House.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Go ahead, Whennie.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Okay, you guys know I love hot dogs, I love blooney.
This is my wheelhouse, so Oscar Meyers selling fifty fiftieth
anniversary of its jingle. You know the My baloney has
the first name. So if you can sing it off
like memory, you can get up to fifty dollars off
your groceries.
Speaker 7 (07:51):
Just go to singdepay dot com.
Speaker 8 (07:52):
Can anybody do it?
Speaker 7 (07:53):
I think I can do it.
Speaker 8 (07:54):
Yeah, I want to try right now.
Speaker 7 (07:56):
My blooney has the first name, It's O. S.
Speaker 12 (07:58):
C R.
Speaker 7 (07:59):
My maloney has a second name. It's b O l
og Na.
Speaker 8 (08:04):
Okay, let's take you listen.
Speaker 13 (08:06):
My the Lonely the last night.
Speaker 7 (08:11):
The Lonely had a second ay that was my.
Speaker 8 (08:23):
No good I tried. I like that one, all right.
How about this woman who went viral because she's getting
married this month and she posted a video. There was
a mix up. She ordered a wedding guestbook for her wedding,
and she did not get that in the mail. She
got something else. This is a crazy one.
Speaker 14 (08:38):
I get married and twelve days and today I was
supposed to get my guest book and when I opened it,
nothing could have prepared me for what I was about
to open.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Shoulder meat? What is that? I got a picture book
of people I don't know with meat on their shoulder.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
So if you were supposed to get this.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
And instead you got mine, I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
That's a meat book.
Speaker 8 (09:04):
People had meat on their shoulders.
Speaker 7 (09:06):
What type of meat?
Speaker 8 (09:08):
I mean? Does it matter?
Speaker 15 (09:09):
No?
Speaker 8 (09:10):
My question is that? Okay, you want to know what
kind of meat it was? When two fully tops.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Rowes for Crispy Chicken fried steaks, two boneless ports chops
for gourmet Jumbo Frank's twelve ounces of all bean meatballs,
thank you.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
We're coming upbout entertainment. We're talking about Christmas celebrations, tree lightings. Yeah,
the Rockefeller tree lighting was last night and the big
time celebrity was thrown out. I don't think that's ever
happened before. Who the hell was thrown out of the
Rockefeller Tree lighting?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
We'll find out next Hey.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
We're back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Hey guys, welcome back. I got to give a shout out.
We have to give a shout out to Bertucci's right
down the street. They just did a food drop for
no reason. We didn't ask for anything, but they have
this cool thing where the pizza boxes when you open
them up, it's very festive. You open it up and
there's a slot for your head and it's a Christmas sweater.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
Like anuw, it's so cute.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
They're literally like they look just like an ugly sweater
and you can Billy. Billy's head fit perfectly in the
cutout I posted on the kiss Instagram story.
Speaker 7 (10:23):
It's really you.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
We love Bertucciese right down the street from here.
Speaker 6 (10:27):
You got great pizza, great wings, the role meatballs.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Aw soo thank you too, Bertucci's. You got to talk
back in there justin.
Speaker 8 (10:36):
Yeah, a little uh situation going on here. So in
our weird story segment a few minutes ago, when he
had a story about Oscar Meyer and about how to
celebrate the fiftieth anniversary. They do want a contest where
you can sing the song and if you get it right,
you can win some you know, win some money when
you know a fifty dollars gift card. But when do
you got it wrong?
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Winfred? You messed it up?
Speaker 1 (10:56):
I know, M A y E R.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
What were you thinking?
Speaker 7 (11:00):
Yeah, I wasn't. I was just thinking about Baloney. I
love bone.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
Now here's the problem in the story, which I don't
know if when he specified you may have I forget,
but to submit your singing you go to sing to
pay dot com. I did not the talkback mic.
Speaker 13 (11:17):
I just had a monometry where they stick a catheter
down your throat. So I'm gonna do my best here.
My Bolooney has a first name is O s c
A R My BOLOONI has the second day of this.
Speaker 8 (11:29):
Yeah, yeah, they keep going, I can sing it.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Oh my Ballooney has the first name. It's O s C.
My Ballooney has a second name.
Speaker 8 (11:39):
We're not going to pay you fifty dollars and we'll
take the submissions, but it's sing to pay dot com.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
My Bolooney has her first name, it's O s c
a R. My Boloney has a second name. It's m
A y e R.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
You're gonna get those.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yeah, nobody gets anything right now.
Speaker 8 (11:57):
Yeah, no one, No my Ballooney.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Now the entertainment update with a Billy consta.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Let the Holidays begin. The Rockefeller Tree lighting in New
York last night, hosted by Kelly Clarkson. She's so good. Yeah,
she's just such a natural for that event. But the
Backstreet Boys did last Christmas.
Speaker 8 (12:16):
We have a clip.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
It skelets.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Still catch Buck till Dad, Julia Rick nice, dude, It's still.
Speaker 13 (12:35):
Boy.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
They're still really good.
Speaker 7 (12:36):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
That's a great cover of that song. Yes, love it.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
They came to our jingle Ball a couple of years
ago and they did some Christmas songs because they had
a Christmas album and they're just the nicest guys and
they're so good.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
So they do have a Christmas album.
Speaker 7 (12:49):
They do. It came on a couple of years ago.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
They actually took a long time to get to make
one because Insinc. Made one like in like nineteen ninety eight,
Like they were one of the first Christmas albums.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
But it took actually with a long time to make one.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Call me crazy.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
I might get the album for the holidays. You should.
Speaker 8 (13:03):
You know you'll never get it. Probably you'll never get it.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Dan and Shane performed as well, so did Jennifer Hudson
and someone was thrown out last night. This doesn't happen often,
but Flavor Flave decided to show up at the Rockefeller
Tree lighting and he somehow got backstage to hang out
with the Backstreet Boys. That was one of his missions,
(13:27):
That was the plan. But one of the security guards
came backstage and told them he had to leave. He's
not allowed in the area.
Speaker 7 (13:34):
Who like, what security?
Speaker 16 (13:36):
Like?
Speaker 7 (13:36):
Why would they do that to him?
Speaker 5 (13:37):
He was horrified.
Speaker 7 (13:38):
Yeah, I would be.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
And it's an NBC event.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
He did some work for NBC the Olympic Games.
Speaker 16 (13:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (13:43):
I mean he's everywhere.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
He's Flavor flayed.
Speaker 8 (13:45):
He's at every award show.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
And if the Backstreet Boys are okay with him being
backstage with them and their trailer, who's the security guard
to tell them?
Speaker 6 (13:52):
Some You posted something about it, how weird it was,
and then he deleted it.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I wonder if they were going to stage or something
and they were trying to get the boys to like
me get I don't know focused.
Speaker 7 (14:02):
I'm trying to think about what would be the reason.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, well he didn't get to enjoy the tree lighting,
although he did post on social later he was very
disappointed and really kind of pissed off.
Speaker 7 (14:11):
Yeah, well they would.
Speaker 8 (14:13):
They were while they were escorting him out from backstage.
They were trying to get social content for NBC, so
it didn't make any sense.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Jimmy Fallon had its holiday special last night. Megan Trainer, Justin, Timberlake,
l L Cool Jay all part of the show. In fact,
Cool j performed at the Jonas Brothers.
Speaker 8 (14:41):
Joe Joe and was the Good Days ice Creams, the
bake Boat.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
He's everywhere now, Cool Jay everywhere. And Fallon went on
the Elvis Duranto. That's one of our shows with an
iHeart in New York. And he's done a lot with Chimberlake,
and he's done a lot of really funny skits with Chimberlake,
and he talks about work.
Speaker 17 (15:07):
He came in, we went to the studio. We were
in the studio from eight o'clock to two in the morning, laughing.
He rewrote the end to watch him record is unbelievable.
You ever see like your friend work at their job
because you always consume like, oh, my friend works, but
I don't know what my friend does.
Speaker 8 (15:21):
Then you go to their job, you go, you actually
do work. Like He's amazing.
Speaker 17 (15:25):
He harmonizes with himself, he's producing, he's playing bass, he's
going just put it my left here now, just put
this in my right air list, harmonize us mix that
he's a genius.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
Here are Buddy Gandhi laughing in the background there on
the Elvis Show. Yep, and Taylor Swift is Spotify's most
streamed artist for a second year in a row. Of
the rest of the top five includes The Weekend, Bad
Bunny Drake, Billie Eilish and Lisa. We got Taylor's book yesterday.
That was a big deal for us.
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Yeah, in the publishing world.
Speaker 6 (15:54):
She sold more books as a debut author than anyone else.
Speaker 7 (15:58):
This year and it was only a target.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
It was only a target the first weekend eight hundred
thousand copies.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
And mailed us a book with a handwritten letter, thank aout.
Speaker 8 (16:07):
We love her. Did she sell more copies than you? Bill?
Speaker 3 (16:11):
They're still counting the numbers on that Yep.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
It's going to be a close finish.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Yeah, we have eight hundred versus eight hundred thousand.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Zero is there but still counting. It's the holidays, by
the way, a Taste of Boston just go to Amazon.
Speaker 8 (16:29):
Yeah, I think we're giving out a signed copy of
the cookbook over the holidays on kiss so look out for.
Speaker 7 (16:35):
That with money to spidl on Oninsky's So.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
What wait a minute? What was that just a joke?
What you just said?
Speaker 8 (16:42):
It was not a joke. Joke. Yeah, speaking of which,
we need to get you can.
Speaker 7 (16:46):
You can you sign them? Please?
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Kisses giving away as a promotion you and Jenny a
signed book, a taste of Boston and Jenny and what
else goes with that?
Speaker 8 (16:55):
Gift card to a nice restaurant? Yesh?
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Wow?
Speaker 8 (16:58):
And how do people get it coming? Just follow kiss
on Instagram? How's that?
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Sabrina Carpenter Espresso was the most dreamed song of the
year her Christmas, especially by the way of Tonight on
Netflix and I want to see that and Chapel Roan,
Caitlin Clark, and Gigi Hadid are on the New Formes
list of thirty under thirty, So is Jason Tatum and
so is Shaboozi and Beyonce single Ladies just passed a
billion views.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
It's interesting how much billion is because you think that
song was such a hit, but it's been around for
like what twelve years and now just sing a billion.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
But I gotta tell you it was a jam. Yeah,
no it is.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (17:33):
Should I play them for you?
Speaker 8 (17:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Go ahead?
Speaker 7 (17:41):
Yeah right, yeah, who's going to catch the bouquet?
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah? We love this story. So there's a singer songwriter,
Bonnie McKee, and understandably they say she's the most underrated
songwriter of all time. She's written ten number one songs,
most of which we played on Kiss and you'd be
surprised to find out we've got a sample.
Speaker 12 (18:02):
Hel Forn Girls was my first number one teenage stream
night last Friday.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
Night, part of Me.
Speaker 12 (18:16):
Hold It against Me, Britney Spears, cast Me, Dynamite, Tyle Cruz.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
So Katy Perry and her are fought half of her
number one singles here from Katy Perry.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
That's crazy wow. She says the hardest song she's ever
written was Katy Perry's teenage Dream right here.
Speaker 7 (18:36):
N It was an absolute nightmare.
Speaker 12 (18:38):
We wrote like four or five different versions.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Of that lyric.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
What were some examples.
Speaker 12 (18:42):
Yeah, I remember you make me feel like I'm born again,
all brand new coman Peter Pan.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
Max was just like, look, we got other songs to write.
Move on.
Speaker 12 (18:50):
I was like, this is my eight mile moment. Palms
are sweaty. You know, I have to nail this because
I know that there's magic here. And so I just
started thinking about what it was like having my first love.
I'm pretty without any makeup on. That feels genuine, that
feels relatable. The word teenager says so much, it's so evocative,
but it was too many syllables.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
So I just.
Speaker 12 (19:11):
Shortened teenager to teenage and then stuck the dream at
the end.
Speaker 7 (19:14):
And I went in and I was like, Okay, I know.
Speaker 12 (19:15):
You told me not to work on this anymore, but
I think that maybe I might have found something. Max
was like fine, and so I was saying it to
him and then he was like, oh, why didn't you
say So we put it together and I remember Max
turning me and said, wish I could bottle this feeling.
And I was like, what feeling is it? And he
was like, you know, you wrote a hit and I
was like, is that what this is is that what
(19:36):
this feels like?
Speaker 6 (19:37):
Weide Billy and I were saying off the air, we
would love to have him as a guest on the show.
Speaker 5 (19:42):
Max Martin m oh yeah.
Speaker 8 (19:44):
A lot of good stories. One of the biggest ones
was it's going to be May. Yeah, you know, it's
going to be me. But he had him timber like
change it to well, the way they say it in
his native language, it sounds like May. So that's why
he when he said to sing it like that, they
thought okay, but it was really because of the the language.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (20:02):
Credits to Daniel Wall on those clips right there. He
has a show called Behind the Wall where he interviews
these songwriters. He's the one that interviewed the guy with
Rihanna's sos.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Oh that was cool.
Speaker 8 (20:12):
I remember that one song title.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 8 (20:14):
So he does a really good job with the editing
in the interview.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
So yeah. So Saturday Night Live only has a few
more episodes left to the year twenty twenty four, and
you would be shocked to find out how little the
cast members on that show make. Pete Davidson and Bowen
Yang talk about it. Biggest indulgence after my first sl paycheck.
Speaker 8 (20:32):
Do you guys know what they pay us?
Speaker 1 (20:34):
It's like three grand episode. I think I got dinner,
going to sacks, buying a pair of cheese shoes. Ohen Yang,
I love him.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
I love him.
Speaker 4 (20:45):
Do you think by look at everyone's career once they
touch SNL.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Yeah, I mean it's a springboard for sure.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
It's a hard gig though, yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
So many of them talk about like not getting their
stuff on, like at the last minute.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
Lauren Michaels would pull it.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Don't forget Palmascal is the guest toast this week. Shabboozy
will be the musical guest. Travis Kelcey was asked about
the Chiefs just squeaking by every game this season.
Speaker 8 (21:10):
Check it out.
Speaker 18 (21:11):
I can call it luck, you can call it fortune,
you can call it guys just playing their ass off
until the last second is off that clock. And the
coaches do a great job of making sure the players
know how wacky things happen in this league, let alone
in this game. I think it's just been coincidence that
we've seen a lot of it happen this year just
(21:32):
to us.
Speaker 7 (21:33):
I mean they've had almost every game is like that.
Speaker 5 (21:38):
You figure out a way to win.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
By the way, Patriots legend, Matt likee going to be
joining us right after nine o'clock on this show this morning. Hey,
mega millions tomorrow night five hundred and seventy nine million.
And bitcoin yesterday, one single bitcoin hit the one hundred
thousand dollars mark for the first time yesterday.
Speaker 8 (21:59):
A friend of mine the other day it was saying, well,
twelve years ago or something, his friend said to him, Hey,
there's a new digital coin called bitcoin. Do you want
to buy in? It is four hundred dollars for a coin,
And my friend goes, what are you crazy, It's not
even real four hundred dollars. I'm not buying that. Yeah,
how you doing now? Well?
Speaker 3 (22:16):
I wish I understood it when it first came out.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
I'm still holding out for doge coin to go big.
Speaker 8 (22:20):
Yeah, I keep holding.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
I'm holding. I'm holding. We're brought to you by Post
nineteen seventeen Steakhouse. You can discover a unique fine dining
experience at the new Post nineteen seventeen Steakhouse. It's in
renting and they offer modern creations by distinguished New England

(22:44):
Make your reservation take the holidays post nineteen seventeen dot
com and there you go.
Speaker 17 (22:49):
Hey, Jimmy fan to listen to Billy and Lisa in
the Morning on Kiss Oneawait.
Speaker 9 (22:52):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss Oneaway Studios. We're back with
Billy and Lisa in the Morning on Kiss one OW eight.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
So we did the jingle Ball ticket tag twice already
this morning. We did it at seven ten, we did
it at a ten, and now we do it at
nine ten. And by the way, mark this down. We
do it every day at the same exact times. You
really need to start scheduling your lives around the billion
lead some morning. I agree. I mean, you can't cannot
do any better than that.
Speaker 8 (23:21):
Yeah, we have fun. We give stuff away. It's it's
a blast if I say so myself.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
So I'm gonna call out a name and that person
has fifteen minutes to get back to producer Riley, and
if they do, they get a pair of tickets for
the jingle Ball. The number to call six one, seven nine.
The person I'm talking about is Selena Rose. Underscore photo boom,
there it is. I just hope we get a winter
at nine ten. If not, we'll do it again at
three ten This afternoon with the b bros.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
We get my buddy Matt Light on the phone.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Matt, you there, buddy, Billy. How's it going, buddy?
Speaker 16 (23:55):
You know, listen, I am watching the snow pile up
here in the Northwest Rhode Island, and I gotta tell you,
I love the snow. I love this time of year.
I know we don't get much of it. I know
some people hate the snow probably maybe, But isn't it
a beautiful thing?
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Where the hell was this island you just mentioned?
Speaker 16 (24:15):
No, it's not an island. Oh okay, it's just a
very It's just a place that not many people go to,
Northwest Rhode Island. And uh, you know it's it's it's
God's country. It's a lot of farm ground. It's the
middle of nowhere, you know, for New England. I guess.
But boys at a beautiful morning.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Matt Light, of course, a patriot legend. You know we
were talking off the year, Matt. You played with Gerard Mayo,
didn't you.
Speaker 16 (24:40):
I did? Yeah, Gerd came in I believe in nine
we spent three seasons together and you know, what a teammate,
what a guy and you know, look, I mean, soughest
job in the world he's he's got right now.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
How do you think he's doing.
Speaker 16 (24:54):
Look, I think he's doing. I think he's doing everything
he can. I looked at the cars are stacked against you.
I mean, the odds are that, you know, most head
coaches when they're it's their first go around, aren't going
to have success. It's just what the odds say, right,
I mean, if you look at a guy like Bill
Belichick to you know, Mike Brabil, right, I mean, it
doesn't matter if it was thirty years ago or if
(25:15):
it's more recent, it's very difficult to win as a
first time head coach. That said, my goals for him,
you know, in terms of like what I want to
see out of the team is just improvement. And there's
been a lot of ebbs and flows. There's been you know,
a week after week where things haven't gone well. But
you know, we have a chance here to watch what's
going to happen at the very end of the season, right,
(25:36):
and my hope for him is that you know, they
can improve, you know, over these next four weeks and
get better. I think they'll tell you a lot.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Now you played with Brady, what do you think of
his broadcasting skills?
Speaker 19 (25:49):
You know I have I have not seen it yet
out no way, man, I know, I know I'm the
last person in New England to say that, but you know, look,
I think I think it's knowing him right.
Speaker 16 (26:02):
He's going to approach it the way he did his
football game, and he's going to be breaking down film
of himself talking and doing all this stuff. Yeah, so
whatever it is this season, it'll probably be better next
year because you know, that's just how he does things.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yeah. Well, he's got a beautiful head of hair. Have
you seen that?
Speaker 16 (26:22):
Well, I can tell you this much that I don't
think you can say that that's organic or all natural.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, it didn't look like that in the locker room
when you guys were showering.
Speaker 16 (26:32):
Right, No, well, especially not early, but as the wins
came miraculously, so the defollicle.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Grow yeah yeah, yeah, wow, okay.
Speaker 16 (26:44):
Directly, you know, maybe maybe that's a proportional thing. You know,
the more success you have, the better your hair grows.
That could be a true statement.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
So you always have so many different charity things going on,
and they're all really good. And you're coming up on
your anniversary of the Bruins Alumni charity game. By the way,
Matt I used to play in those.
Speaker 16 (27:06):
Well, listen, the Light heroes are always looking for a ringer.
And you know, listen, I'm not counting my guys out.
You know these Bruins alumni. Yeah, they show up and
they get after it, and they put on a heck
of a show. And I'm a little jealous, man, because
there's a brotherhood for all of us that have been
in the locker room and you know, played sports, and
if you're lucky enough to get to the professional level,
(27:27):
even the college level, you know, your memories always go
back to those locker room moments, right, and the preparation
and everything that went into it. And when I go
to this game every year, it's so cool to walk
down into the locker and see these guys getting together
in the camaraderie and telling the old stories. But they
go out there and they play. Man, this is a
great game.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, we're talking to Patriot legend Matt Light. His event
is coming up December fourteenth. By the way, if you've
got a family young kids. You really should go. It's
it's very entertaining and it's going to be at Warrior
Ice Arena, and that's where the actual one's practice. That's
their rink. So it's a great event. You got to
get your tickets. But Matt, did I read that you
actually lace up the skates and you're one of the
(28:08):
light heroes.
Speaker 16 (28:11):
Hey, listen, fake news, my friend. For the safety of
everyone involved. I've done it one time and almost killed
seven people. I mean, I have a giant stick in
my hand, I'm flailing. I'm three hundred pounds of unathletic.
You know, ice meat.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
That is not good, I swear, Matt. In this press
release it says you get on the ice with the
guys and skate and play.
Speaker 16 (28:34):
I know, you know what. There's mistakes made in journalism
and coffee in print. Hey, I will say this, man,
what I love is being at Warrior and being out
there with all the fans that come out and giving
stuff away like you guys are talking about it. You
got somebody it's gonna be calling in and hopefully winning
some great jingle ball tickets, right Yeah, I mean that's
an awesome thing when you get to make People's Day
(28:56):
and this is right before the holidays, so we've got,
you know, great stuff for people to to win and
support the foundation but also take home some great things
with our online auctions.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
And by the way, it's good hockey, I know, is
that in your char is going to be there. Took
A Rasca will be in nets. I mean a lot
of the form of players are still skating.
Speaker 16 (29:12):
Well yeah, and listen, these are guys that you know,
people have just loved to watch and they get to
come out, they get to see them again, and yeah,
it's good action. Our Light Heroes, I mean, they've won
once in ten years, so don't come out.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
So it's kind of like the Globe Trotters of hockey.
The Light Heroes are the nationals who you know just
never win. But okay, so it's December fourteenth, and before
I let you go, Matt, tell everybody listening about your
foundation and what the mission is.
Speaker 16 (29:40):
You know, our mission is to work with young people
and we do it through a variety of different programs,
you know, from first graders all the way up to
graduating seniors in high school, and it all centers around leadership.
We have our Light Foundation Leadership Academy. So we bring
kids in from all over the country, a lot of
kids from right here in New England. And you know
it's it's it's the age old thing, right, just walk
with somebody to get to know them, earn the trust
(30:02):
and push them right to do their best and be
their best. All right.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
So there is gonna be a great family event. Again.
It's Saturday. It's two in the afternoon, December fourteenth, and
the rink by the way is right there at Boston Landing,
which has a lot of different places to go, places
to eat. Boston Landing is an amazing place right now.
But Matt, happy holidays to.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
You, buddy.
Speaker 16 (30:23):
Yes, indeed, you two always a pleasure, a thank you.
Speaker 8 (30:26):
All right, we'll see oh man, all right, congratulations to Selena.
She called back for the ticket tag your next shot
coming up at three ten with the v Bros up next,
some talkback leftovers.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
Billy at Lisa every morning.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Just want to wait all right, time for the leftovers. Brother,
I've been waiting all morning for the talkback leftover.
Speaker 8 (30:44):
And you know what, anyone that left at Talkback this morning,
they wait for this moment too. Yeah, because we can't
get to everybody I apologize for that, but if you
do check in on the iHeart app, you leave a
message for us that does come to me. I do
my best to get it on and if I can't
during the show, it ends up here for talkback leftover,
and I gotta get this one in because uh this
this person's mom dmd us and she's like, please can
(31:05):
you play the talk back my son left I'm like sure.
Speaker 10 (31:08):
It's Jack from Quincy.
Speaker 20 (31:09):
I wanted to give a special shout out to.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Catholic Memorial, who's heading to the super Bowl tonight at
Gillette Go nights Night. That's right nightm baby.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
That's exciting, very excited Gillette.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Yeah, that's awesome super Bowl.
Speaker 8 (31:23):
I love how his mom was like, you better play
my kids talking about.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
This is something he will never forget, win or lose.
He's in the super Bowl.
Speaker 8 (31:32):
Yeah, it's really cool. So earlier when he had a
weird story about the Oscar Meyer Yeah, okay, so this
has turned into a giant, giant thing. It's a dumb story.
I mean it's good. You can win fifty bucks if
you submit your you singing the Oscar Meyer song to
the sing topay dot com. You can win fifty bucks.
That's the thing, and so people thought that they had
(31:53):
to submit to us. So we had tons of people
singing the Oscar Meyer song. But now they're they're changing
it and saying things as well.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Okay, I know you're tired of the Oscar Myer song,
but here's a better version for her. My favorite morning
radio show has a first name.
Speaker 10 (32:08):
It's b I L l Y.
Speaker 8 (32:09):
My favorite morning radio show has a second name.
Speaker 10 (32:12):
It's l I S A. I love to listen to
it every day with Justin and Winnie. I need to say,
you guys are the best in R A D I
Oh happy Holidays.
Speaker 8 (32:26):
Like yeah, it was okay, I like this one better though.
Speaker 10 (32:30):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
My radio has a first name.
Speaker 7 (32:32):
It's Ki S S Kiss.
Speaker 16 (32:35):
My radio has a second name.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
It's one oh Wait, one o Wait.
Speaker 21 (32:39):
I love to listen everring day Billy Lisa, Justin Winne
Goes kiss one away. It has a way of making.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
My da hy day too.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Was kind of a stretch, but it works.
Speaker 8 (32:56):
You like the first one better than that one, they
both say. I thought that's pretty good and creative. Yeah,
very good.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
What up morning crew?
Speaker 15 (33:03):
Noh the caddy out here in Phoenix, Lisa yesterday, I
had a golfer who grew up in Milton went to
Milton Academy and was one of the warmest introductions, genuine
heartfelt and felt appreciated from the get go. So they
must be doing a good job over at the academy.
I like, and good job parent and putting the kids there.
Speaker 7 (33:24):
I love that.
Speaker 8 (33:25):
Yeah, that's not what he checks in every day and
lets us know what he's doing. He caddies. He's the
real Yeah, they are always celebrities. Yeah, it's pretty cool,
aren't you?
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Like the vice principal over there at the academy hours.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Now, I'm a class wrap for the seniors.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
Okay, so what's what's going on? From going on?
Speaker 1 (33:43):
You get a jacket with a crest.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Coming up today? There's a lot.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
Yeah, yeah, everyone loves Lisa.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Very good morning guys. Mike here just watching some segments
on Instagram of Lisa and I don't know how you
guys sit next to her. You know, it's just got
the most beautiful legs. Lisa, are you going?
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (34:11):
Why did you play that?
Speaker 1 (34:13):
Just we go?
Speaker 5 (34:14):
My god, Justin's cracking.
Speaker 1 (34:16):
Yeah, baby, Lisa, you have you do have very nice legs.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
Yeah, like that and it's.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
A common do you say the way he steam is
coming off the microphone? WHOA watched Lisa?
Speaker 7 (34:31):
I want to know where he was watching those.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
I don't know my dad, Lisa.
Speaker 8 (34:37):
One way, all her beautiful picture are coming on next
to say goodbye and wrap things up kids.
Speaker 9 (34:43):
One way, it's the morning wrap up on Billy and
Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 8 (34:48):
Yes, what's scrunch time for the sold out jingle Ball
It's coming up Sunday, December fifteenth. So you know, we
did the ticket tag all week long. You tag someone
on the Kiss, Instagram, the pin post, and then we
call out a name, a random name, and you'll have
fifteen minutes to call us back. We did it a
few times. This morning seven ten Karita was the winner.
She called back. We could not get to her live,
(35:09):
but she hit the talk back.
Speaker 21 (35:10):
Mike Hi Kiss went away. I can't believe I won
the ticket tag for this morning. Luckily my friend was
able to message me and tell me that I want
because one day that I don't listen to the radio.
Of course I win, but I'm so excited. I've been
listening every single day and trying to call and I
couldn't win. But finally I get to win. Hopefully I
(35:31):
get to see you guys there. I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (35:33):
Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Yeah, congrat That's how and why the ticket tag works.
Speaker 8 (35:36):
Yeah, you gotta be listening. And then if you are
not listening for whatever reason, hopefully you have a friend
like her that will let you know. And how about
Gabriel at A ten getting emotional on the air.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
I'm shaking and so I'm so excited. Are you crying? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
I love that. We love that.
Speaker 8 (35:55):
Yeah, especially you know, it is crunch time for the show.
So people that want to go to sold out show
and they've been trying to win all the different things
that we've done, you start getting some anxiety. Yeah, I'm
going to miss out the fomo, you know what I mean?
So three ten, Well, the next name will be called
out by the v bros. So do it right now.
It's easy. It takes one second. Go to the kids' instagram,
the pin post and tag someone. All the details are there.
(36:18):
So we had a good topic time today about company parties.
Lisa had a list of the top six things that
you want to watch out for or not do at
the upcoming holiday party. A lot of good ones on this.
Speaker 20 (36:29):
I had a.
Speaker 14 (36:30):
Holiday party probably about twelve years ago that I planned
for my team, and it was at Maggiano was in
Boston and we had some new team members and I
was wondering where she was after about half hour forty
five minutes, and come to find out, she walked out
with a bottle of wine and two empty glasses just
(36:50):
to go have some fun out on the streets.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Okay, all right, she wanted all the wine to herself.
Speaker 8 (36:57):
I mean alcohol is the main the main thing.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
Oh yeah, it drives most things.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
It leads to things.
Speaker 8 (37:03):
Yeah, well from my perspective, and this is you know,
it's you know, alcohol, it's fun to drink at a party, right,
But I don't drink. So but one of the benefits
is when I go to these events, I literally watch
people change. Oh yeah, I watch it. Yeah, and they
don't even realize it. Yeah, you know, and then they
reach the point of oblivion.
Speaker 14 (37:19):
So my holiday Christmas party story is that my coworkers
would get so trashed at the holiday party that last
year they decided they had.
Speaker 13 (37:27):
To give out drink tickets.
Speaker 20 (37:29):
Well, we all used our co check tickets as extra
drink tickets, and the bartenders accepted them.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Happy holidays.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Oh that's a hot tip right there.
Speaker 8 (37:37):
It's a good tip.
Speaker 7 (37:39):
That's smart, and.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
The bartender are smart because they can still put it
on the tap.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
It would be funny if you can't get your code
at the end of the night though, because you don't
have your ticket.
Speaker 8 (37:47):
Yeah, if you go into a holiday party for your
work and you know, be careful, don't drink so much
and be saying some crazy things.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
You go, you know, you know what I mean.
Speaker 8 (37:58):
Just walk up to the sales girl.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
Just get the most beautiful legs.
Speaker 8 (38:03):
Okay, just take it easy. We have the Oscar Meyer
weird story. This thing continues on. You can submit your
song the Oscar Meyer song singing it to singtpay dot
com and if you're picked, you win fifty bucks. And
people are submitting their songs still to us.
Speaker 20 (38:19):
Okay, guys, I have a new Oscar Myer song for you.
My radio has our first name. It's BLWJ. My radio
has a second name, and.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
It makes my day.
Speaker 8 (38:32):
Oh.
Speaker 20 (38:33):
I love to listen every day and if you ask
me why, I'll say, because kids want to wait has
a different skit every single day.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Okay, that's good.
Speaker 7 (38:48):
We appreciate all versions.
Speaker 8 (38:51):
Yeah, that's a good effort, right, I appreciate it. And finally,
it's a big day. It is the iHeartRadio rewind comes
out today. So if you use the iHeartRadio app, you
want to check your inbox because they're going to be
showing you your highlights of all your top stations, the
podcast artists you know, so it'll tell you you know,
(39:11):
who you listen to the most, so you know, that's
really cool.
