Lisa Donovan, it's not. Oh boy, it's the morning after
jingle Ball. We were out on the town and you
have to understand, folks, Uh, jingle Ball is not just
a show. It's an entire weekend for us.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
It really is.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
So it all started Friday, went through Saturday, and of
course last night the big show, sold out show, packed
house TD Garden And by the way, is it me?
What a show that was last night?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
It was perfect.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'm so good. That crowd went nuts from start to finish.
And when Tate McCrae finished ended the show, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
They got a lot of Tate lovers out there.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I heard them all singing in the street. Oh that's
caught up.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I came in this morning still singing one of our songs.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun out there with
the crowd. It was a lot of fun on stage
with the artists and even more fun backstage with the artists.
So we had some fun, We got some funny stories,
and we're going to bring all of that, or as
much of it as we can to you. And the
entertainment report that is coming up at six forty this morning.
It's what we do, right Justin. Yeah, it was a

(01:17):
great show.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Hello, beautiful people. It was wonderful to see you guys
from the jingle Ball stage. I'm just getting back from
Boston right now and thinking about like, oh, tomorrow morning,
I have to be at work at like nine or something.
So I got a wake up around seven and I
was like, ooh, that's so early. I'm gonna have like
not gonna get my sleep. And I was thinking, how

(01:38):
does Billy, Lisa, Justin, Winnie and Riley do this every morning,
like especially after night like last night? Oh my gosh,
you guys are doing God's work.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Wow, we all didn't do it this morning when he
gone in a couple of minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Ago, yeah, an hour ago.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
Yeah, she slept through the alarm, big call and say
that home on coffee because I have to stop.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh no, no, no, that's the scale.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
I're on you. Yeah, I'm onto the scam.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Whenever you're late, you call say hey, can I get
yourself some coffee later? Okay, Well it only take you
five years.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
I spent I spent fifteen years of my life. Why
every single day.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Ye, Justin was on you early.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I want to say this, The crowd was your sensational
last night, as it is every night. I mean, our
listeners are so cool, they're so nice.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
And they all look so beautiful.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Walking out of the garden and we met so many
of them and I was just like, wow, look at
you all all dressed up. It was awesome.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah, and it's great. You see a lot of families.
You see a lot of moms with the kids. You
see a lot of moms and dads with the kids.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
It's a tradition.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Wow, it's a generational thing.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Really.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Yeah, you know, I mean I grew up going to
jingle Ball when I was a kid. Yeah, you know,
it was a great night.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Hey, Billy, Lisa, Justin and Winnie. I was just listening
to the podcast from Friday, catching up on the show
and heard you guys talking about outfits for jingle Ball.
Casually mentioned like, oh, I think I'm just wearing something
that I've had laying around in my closet.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
And I've never worn before.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Fast forward to right now me seeing her on the
IG Live and Lisa, You're wearing this gorgeous outfit that
looks amazing on you. The things laying around in my
closet that don't even come here.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
It's funny because Lisa and I had to roam a
lot during the course of the night. Everywhere we went,
people were stopping Lisa sink, by the way, that's the
best outfit.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh god, yeah, and all the cats ie like everything.
I thank you so much, but yeah, I had it,
and I'm glad I stopped in my own closet.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Yeah. Oh man, Whinnie, you looked fabulous. I think I
told you multiple times. We could not stop talking about it.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
It was so great. And I have to say we
all kind of match.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Yeah we did.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
You're all in like black shimmery stuff.

Speaker 7 (03:51):
Yeah, justin miss the memo, he was wearing something like
he was cutting down lumberjackets.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Okay, he looks so scary again. All days.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
You look good, though, you know, my outfit's about the sneakers.
I always say I only care about the sneakers. Yeah,
I've got a lot of compliments on those.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I told you they look good.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Riley looked fabulous last night. Yeah, I'm going to tell you,
no matter what year it is, what show we're doing,
I'm always oppressed, impressed by how good everybody is or
what they do. At least you did a fabulous job
justin I don't even know how you do it. I
say it all the time. You are the best there
is on the planet at what you do. If they

(04:37):
saw what you had to do backstage during these shows
that they wouldn't believe it.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
No, I thank you for that, but you, I mean,
you crushed it. Interviews like God, like we're gonna, we're
gonna take you there. But there was a big thing
about two of our performers that are dating, yeah, and
like could we talk about it? Could we not talk
about it? It was kind of iffy, and Billy got it
out of both of them.

Speaker 7 (05:00):
It was super cool, I tell you watching Billy interview
because like we wore with them every day.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Whatever.

Speaker 7 (05:05):
But when you see people, you're like, this is why
this man's the best, because like he's.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So good you get away with stuff and no one
else is.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Well it's really a weird situation because I know what
I want to talk to the artist about, but then
there's a room full of people that are with the artists.
They know all the things they don't want me. They
talk way about and every time I'm asking something, I
want to ask him wondering, oh my god, am I
going to get in trouble.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
When you're like, okay, we're going there.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Too.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Is their manager, their people? They stare at me.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
Yeah, because I'm the producer.

Speaker 6 (05:36):
Yeah, yeah, you did it. You did a fantastic job.
And also, what's really cool is, you know, Billy, you're
an OG You've been around a long time. Most of
these artists when they come backstage into the room and
they see you, they smile, they do because they remember you.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Well, that's nice to say that I really did. It
was a collective effort. Everybody worked hard. Everybody was awesome.
It's fun going out on stage, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
It was really that's always been so fun.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I mean, it's the TD Garden, you know what. You
grow up with, the TD Garden or even the old
Boston Garden, and now you're on stage to a sold
out show. It's nerve wracking, I'm gonna tell you. And
you can't you can't hear anything.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
Because Lisa was sitting right next sitting literally within two
feet of me, and I had no idea what she
was saying, but I knew enough to.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
Be like Tame McGray.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Oh Man's crazy.

Speaker 8 (06:27):
It was.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
It was really cool stage with you guys. It's always
a moment. Yeah, I used to sleep on the street outside.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Okay, and there you were on stage and backstage yucking
it up with all the top stars in the world.
So entertainment's coming up. If you were there last night,
you probably missed a lot of what did go on backstage,
so you can hear it this morning on the show.
And if you weren't there, you can hear some of
what happened backstage at hingle Ball last night. And we've

(06:55):
got some information as well on where you can see
the jingle Ball Wednesday night and all kinds of information
around the jingle Ball. And by the way, we do
have Tate McCray tickets. She's got two sold out shows.
She's coming back to the Garden next summer. So hold On.
Entertainment is up next.

Speaker 9 (07:10):
From the Planet Fitness, Kiss One Await Studios.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
We're back with a Villy and Lisa in the morning
on Kiss.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
Now, the Entertainment Update with a Billy Constat Okay, here
we go. Jingle Ball last night, complete sellout pack to
TD Garden. It was a beautiful Tate McCrae closed out
the show. She's coming back to the Garden for two
sold out shows next to August. She loves the TDC Garden.

Speaker 8 (07:37):
I've been dreaming about my whole life just to play
a headline show there, So it's definitely a bucket list.

Speaker 10 (07:42):
I'm so excited.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
I gotta be honest with you. I've been out there
a couple of times into the crowd. Yeah, I don't
want to say it too loud. This is a Tate
McCray crowd. Really, No, No, they are loving you in
this building tonight. Oh.

Speaker 10 (07:55):
I love Boston. It's always the best.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
And we've got tickets to Tate mccraye sold out shows
in August coming up at seven to ten This morning.
Backstage with Tate McGray, things got a little weird when
I asked about her plans for the holidays.

Speaker 8 (08:08):
I'm going home actually in five days to Calgary and
I like Christmas break off.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Oh you know what's funny. I heard you were going
to Calgary for the holidays from.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Kit le Roy.

Speaker 10 (08:18):
Really did he just tell you like twenty minutes ago?

Speaker 3 (08:22):
And I didn't ask. I did not ask.

Speaker 10 (08:24):
He brought it up.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
He brought it up. Okay, didn't he bring it up? Everybody?
He brought it up. In fact, he brought it up
three times. Oh, this man is so in love with you. Yeah,
here was a kid leroy about ten minutes. Oh I'm
going to Canada for the holidays. Oh yeah, oh again. Okay,

(08:46):
that's twice you brought it up.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Hey, you asked me.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
I didn't bringing up. I'm being on it. Do you
want me to lie? Now we're going there?

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Do you want me to lie? Now we're going there?

Speaker 3 (08:54):
So how's that thing going with you? In Tate?

Speaker 4 (08:55):
She's perfect, he's the best. And I waited go to
the snow.

Speaker 8 (09:00):
I don't think I've ever been in the snow for Christmas,
So we'll be having a white Christmas.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
He opened the door, Yes he did.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Smitten and dad, what do you think about all that?

Speaker 6 (09:17):
Nice?

Speaker 3 (09:17):
Are you going to go to your label people now
and say why is he asking? I thought that was
a no no.

Speaker 10 (09:22):
I mean I'm far from perfect, but that's really nice
of him.

Speaker 6 (09:25):
Okay, So to take people behind the scenes when we
do these interviews, they have their people, right, that's their
managers and record labels, and they'll say, you know what,
we would like to talk talk about with them what
they would like, right, And so the relationship was not
at the top of the list, don't you know, because
they want to focus on the music and the shows
and what they're doing and their projects and their tours.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
You know.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
So they didn't really tell us not to, but they
just kind of said, you know, let's focus on the music.
So you did. But Billy is a master at pulling
things out of them, and he did. He got both
of them to talk about it, and they're super cool.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
But like, well, when we saw Taming Craze backstage, she
was warming up and she was doing like the splits
in her She has the longest legs I've ever seen,
and she did a full on Her leg was all
the way straight and I go, no, wonder he says,
she's perfect.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
That was next level flexibility.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
We were standing. This was on stage as she was
hearing up to go out in front of the crowd,
and I turned to Lisa, I said, did she just
do that?

Speaker 8 (10:27):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (10:27):
Yeah, Like her leg was straight up in the air,
like it was amazing.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
She did a full split on stage during her performance.
A full split.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
You can lift her leg up and literally scratch her
ear show.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Yeah, no, he's not exaggerating.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
It was crazy, unbelievable. Megan Trainer crushed it last night.
She was thrilled to be back home, so to speak.
Had to ask about her song Criminals, which was featured
in the red Hot show The Perfect Couple. How did
that happen?

Speaker 11 (10:52):
A lot of like weird connections, Like my mom heard
about it happening, and we knew the author from Nanta
because we're from Nantucket, and I remember seeing the author.
She was famous on our island and my family for
running a lot outside even in the winter. This girl
was running sprinting and I was like, wow, that's the author,
that's the famous author, Ellen Hildebrant.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yes, thank you Ellen. I love her club, no way,
it is amazing.

Speaker 10 (11:20):
She's amazing.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I saw her during the dance the other day on Instagram.
Is so good.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
That's so funny. Lisa's book club now comes up in conversations.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I knew who she was talking about, and I was like,
should I say your name? But she's right, Ellen runs Oliver, Nantucket.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
Yeah you got to be.

Speaker 6 (11:34):
I'm not a big dance guy, but I watched Megan
do the dance on stage and I thought to myself,
I'd like to learn that dance.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I think we all should. Maybe we should do that
as our video to end the year.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Yes, I got to tell you. Every time the show
was on the start and in the finish they ran
the dance and the song Criminals, and Michelle and I
would jump up off the couch and try to It's
the coolest line dance I've ever seen. But Megan's got
a crazy week because this coming Friday she's gonna be
lighting up the m Fire State Building.

Speaker 11 (12:01):
I filmed it already, but it's coming. It's happening on
the twentieth.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yes, it's weird that I have all this stuff the.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Yes, that's gonna be amazing.

Speaker 11 (12:13):
And it was the coolest stay ever and the scariest day.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
We went to the very top.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Kesher last night. She did some old, she did some new,
and we talked about the new song Delusional.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
You know what, The new.

Speaker 12 (12:22):
Ones are always fun because it's kind of scary and
like you don't know how it's going to go. So
Delusional was so fun to perform because I love that song,
but it's new and you're just like, you don't know
if it's going to be a train Wreck.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
Yeah, we actually saw her doing the sound check doing Delusion.

Speaker 10 (12:38):
She sounded really really good.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Yeah, Okay, we're not done with jingle Ball, not by
a long shot. First of all, the backstage countdown that
aired last night is going to re air tonight at
seven o'clock on Kiss. You can hear the full interviews,
all of them word for word on the Billy and
Lisa podcast. And justin what's up with the countdown last
night going all over the world or something?

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Oh yeah, Billy Billy went worldwide. So if you have
the iHeartRadio app, when the countdown started, a push notification
went out to all the users with a direct link
to listen to the countdown. So if you were in
Australia and you have the iHeart app, you would have
gotten it and depressed it. So we don't know millions
of people listening to the contown and all the interviews,

(13:23):
which is pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Take that, Ryan Seacrest, I'm kidding because it's real concern
about your contact. And by the way, Wednesday night and
ABC special on the jingle Ball long list of performers,
and it's going to stream on Hulu the very next
day on Wednesday. I mean Thursday, So uh yeah, baby,

(13:46):
pretty good.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Seeing jingle balls to you?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Well, thank you? Uh Diddy over the weekend pulling back
his request for bail, so he's just going to wait
it out until the trial that doesn't happen until May.
Will Smith, during a show in San Diego, wanted to
clear the air about his relationship with Diddy.

Speaker 13 (14:03):
But the world we're in right now, it's really hard
for y'all to like discern what's real and what's true.
And I ever seeing y'all means and stuff you'll be
making means. I said, no, some of my stuff is funny,
some of us funny, But I haven't addressed idiots publicly.
But I just want to say this very clearly. I
don't have to do with Puffy, So y'all can stop

(14:24):
all the means.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
We could still call him Puffy. Well that's how far
they go back. Wow, you think Jada put them up
to it, so you got to speak out.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
I don't think him and Jada actually talk as much
as you think. I don't think so either.

Speaker 7 (14:37):
I don't think I think they're like they're just married legally.
I don't really think there's much going on anymore.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
By the way, well as a new song, and we've
got a clip.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
Back on my journey.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I'm taking my chance.

Speaker 14 (14:47):
It's searching the question and looking for answers. Hoping this
medicine heel out of damage. My nag yild keep doing
a tantrum.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Why does my.

Speaker 14 (14:55):
Ego keep holding me rants? And why does my fear
of control me? Youet random like you can get ugly
beforeting im hand.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
It is handsome.

Speaker 7 (15:02):
Have you guys noticed since he slapped Chris Rock that
although I don't think he'll ever be canceiable because he's
like Will Smith, I think he has had a decline.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
We don't talk like I don't really see him out anymore.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
You don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
It hasn't really been doing anything no for years.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Biggest blockbuster in the world.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
I'd love to see him in a new movie.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Yeah, me too. Artists are still getting hit in the
face with things thrown by fans. Billy Eilish got hit
in the face with a bracelet. Oh my god.

Speaker 7 (15:27):
She was literally sitting down doing what was I made for?
It's a beautiful part of her concert. I saw it
live and you hear the smack of those plastic friendship brees.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
It's like like, what are you trying to do?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
As shocking that someone would do that to her.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah, that happened in Arizona. And these are fans, by
the way, they think it's an endearing thing. It's dangerous.

Speaker 6 (15:46):
They don't mean to but like, okay, well we almost
got hit in the face with a nice coffee at
Turkey Toss.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Oh yeah, one of the kids from the back.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
It was Arlington. I almost went over and like flying
in the air.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
A lot of things that fly around that place.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, I wanted to say something so bad.

Speaker 3 (16:09):
Jamie Fox was celebrating his birthday at a restaurant in
Beverly Hills Friday night and someone threw a glass that
hit him in the face. He needed stitches. What Yeah,
Apparently his guys were getting into something with a couple
of fans in the restaurant and all of a sudden,
the guy tossed the glass hit Jamie right in the face.
Mariah Carey had to cancel two more holiday shows as

(16:30):
she battles the flu, and over the weekend, the Heisman
Trophy winner was named Travis Hunter from Colorado. He finished
top five in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and passes defended.
He's both offense and defense. Guy. This guy is the
real deal. Patriots lost to the Cardinals. They're now three

(16:53):
and eleven on the season.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Why bother they're fighting for that first round draft pick.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
Well, good luck with that. I don't think that's going
to be enough either.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Oh they're playing the Bills this weekend. That should go good.
Oh man, what do.

Speaker 4 (17:06):
You think new record most points ever scored?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
I mean, Josh Allen is going to be passing and
running through them like Swiss cheese.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
What does that mean?

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Holes in the cheese, holes in the lineup? Get it
can enter, catch up? Catch up? Okay. Sels beat the
Wizards yesterday Monday Night football game. Two games on tap,
bears in the Viking, Vikings, Falcons and the Raiders. And
this report brought to you by the ninety nine restaurant.
Give the perfect gift this year ninety nine Restaurant gift cards.

(17:36):
They are the perfect gift for anybody on your list.
For every twenty five bucks you purchase, receive a five
dollars bonus card for yourself. You gotta love the nines
in there. You go go be jingle Balls to.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
You from the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Away Studios. We
we're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Oh man, welcome back, everybody. Here we go. It's Monday morning,
it's the morning after jingle Ball. You were all slightly sluggish,
but that's okay. We had fun. I think everybody who
went to jingle Ball had fun. Everybody who went to
jingle Ball loved Tate McCrae. And the good news is
Tate mccray's bringing her full tour back to Boston to

(18:16):
already sold out shows next year. And we've got a
pair of tickets for Tate McCray coming back to Boston
right now for Caller twenty five and Caller twenty five
will need the keyword and the keyword Producer Riley is
going to be flexible.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
That girl is very flexible.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
We couldn't believe it. No, I saw my own two eyes.

Speaker 6 (18:37):
And we're also going to throw in some jingle Ball
march as well, so you'll get the Tate tickets. And
you know, we got some march lining around here from
last night.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
We'll throw that into So you know, we were on stage,
we had to introduce so Tate McCray on stage. She
closed out the show and so we're standing back there
with Tate and her entire dance company and her band,
and they're all doing their stretches. By the way, her
dancers were fabulous, but Hate was doing this stretch where
she stood up straight and.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Torqu her leg like in a straight line, straight line.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
The guy her foot actually touched her.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
It was so impressive. And then one of her backup
dancers did a standing backflip.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
I don't even know how that's possible.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Yeah. So we talked a lot with Tate McCray backstage,
both before and after her show, and she not only
has this new tour coming in next year where she's
got a new album coming out too.

Speaker 10 (19:28):
I've really seen an album in February. We've just been going
like it's been crazy, we noticed.

Speaker 8 (19:33):
Yeah, so I'm dropping an album in February, and then I
think we'll obviously prepare for the tour like that month March,
and then go to Europe and do the whole shebang again.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (19:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
So when you're out there on stage or drinkle all tonight,
will you be thinking about when you're coming back with
your full tour?

Speaker 8 (19:51):
Probably, I mean, yeah, getting like the I think I
was here a couple of years.

Speaker 10 (19:55):
I was here a couple years.

Speaker 8 (19:56):
Ago and played this, but it'll definitely feel more real
this time.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
Yeah, you know, it's really cool, you know, to see
an artist like Tate McCrae who came out of nowhere
rarely during the pandemic. I remember when You Broke Me
first came out and we were like, who's Tate mccraye,
And they said, well, she's a dancer, and she made
YouTube cover songs and she was a kid, and then
she's just blown up year after year and you know,

(20:20):
this year, on twenty twenty five, you're gonna be the biggest.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Yeah. Her dancers are some of the best I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Well, I remember her at the Verb Hotel. We did
the pool. Yeah, and that was like when she was
that was it?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (20:32):
Yeah, yeah, she by because she blew up during the pandemic.
There was no press, so she did it from her bedroom.
She did all the press on zoom.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
So it's an incredible story.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
And because I'm friends with Lisa Dunovan, who happened to
be Lisa the Fashionista, I knew early on that Tate
McCrae got involved with Kim Kardashian Skim's holiday campaign, so
I had to ask about it last night.

Speaker 8 (20:57):
Oh, I mean also another dream of mine. They just
kind of hit me up and they're like, what do
you want to do the holiday campaign?

Speaker 3 (21:03):
I was like, sure, it's that easy.

Speaker 10 (21:04):
Yep, Okay, that's all I got.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
They hit me up? Who hit you up?

Speaker 8 (21:11):
The Skims team. They were just like, do you want
to do the holiday campaign?

Speaker 10 (21:18):
And we said yes.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Translation, it was Kim.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
It was Kim.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Yeah, she was at the Skims team. She was being Kim. Yeah,
Kim kay. But she was a lot of fun. And
again two shows already already sold out for Tate mccrane.
There was a huge Tate McRae crowd there last night.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
Anytime we or I mentioned tit on stage, that place
went nuts. And somebody is caller twenty five, which means
caller twenty five will go to see Tate McCrae at
the Garden next year. What's her name was? Anna? Hey,
it's Anna, But good morning Anna. Where you call it from? Anna?

Speaker 15 (22:00):
I am calling for my car. I'm on my way
to work right now.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Okay, what do you do for work?

Speaker 15 (22:07):
I work at a dental office. As a receptionist in Boston.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Good for you. You can give him a shout out.
Who's the dentist office?

Speaker 16 (22:15):
Give a shout out Seaport Dental Associates.

Speaker 17 (22:18):
There you go, Rooney.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Oh, I love doctor Rooney, Lisa Rooney, I know Lia
doctor Rooney. Yeah, I love them. I've actually had my
teeth whitened at Seaport Dental.

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Actually, come, come Rooney is the best.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Tell doctor Rooney that we all want to get our
teeth white and for the holidays.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah, I need a little I need a little whitening.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
Yeah, I want to be snow white. But hold on, Okay,
do you have the keyword?

Speaker 5 (22:49):
I do.

Speaker 15 (22:49):
It's flexible.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Flexible. Hold on. Producer Riley would talk to you. And
you're going to see tapmacran next year.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
Oh you're welcome. Thanks Annah, it's honor.

Speaker 18 (23:00):
All right?

Speaker 4 (23:00):
Coming out next listen Christmas next week? What's out on
Christmas cards? Yes? No, what do you think that's next?

Speaker 3 (23:06):
On? Kiss Hilly and Lisa. Okay, so I guess we're
going to talk about holiday cards. No, I go. I
have so much to say about holiday cards. First of all,
as parents, one of your worst one of your most
stressful days of the entire year is when you try
to gather the kids for the holiday cards.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
It's true, and a lot of families do it over
the summer, they do it in the fall. And I'm
so impressed because I've never been able to get my
act together to do it.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
We did it in September. Yeah, yeah, for the holiday.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
But they're yelling and screaming.

Speaker 6 (23:41):
And it wasn't that bad. We had we kind of
you know, we planned it out. It was a nice setting.
But previous years.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, I'm impressed by you guys that you can go on.
It's good.

Speaker 3 (23:51):
And here's the thing. We'll go around the room. But
I got one more thing on the holiday cards. Okay,
how do you decide whose card goes up on the
refrigerator or on the mantle in the car to get
thrown out? Because then the problem is, Heaven forbid, somebody
comes to the house over the holidays, who's card you
threw away? Now you're looking for the trash. Oh my god,
they're coming. I didn't know they were coming before Christmas.

Speaker 4 (24:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
My wife hangs them on the doorway. Oh, you know,
to the living room or the dining room. But I've
never thrown away at Christmas. I'm not really into it.
I mean, I get it, but you know you got.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
To have to throw them away. What are you doing Christmas?

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Is I put them in like a nice basket, and
I saved them through the holidays, and then in January
they get tossed, tossed.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
Do people care about Christmas cards? That's my question.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
Like when they get the card of my family, they
open it up and they say, oh, that's nice, and
then they hang it up, and I feel.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Like that's the other thing. I don't be so sure
they're going to hang it up. And would you get
pissed off if you heard they didn't.

Speaker 4 (24:47):
If they put in the trash?

Speaker 7 (24:48):
See, okay, I grew up my mother never we've never
done a holiday card never.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I've never We've never set one out.

Speaker 7 (24:55):
I've never posed for one. I'm not big on them.
I got one on Friday or Saturday.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
I never did yeah yeah to my car.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
I have to say, you're going to throw it. Growing up,
I we never did the family photo either. I did
it when the kids were young. I would send them out.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
It was hard for us. We didn't know where my
dad was well.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
And then there's that.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, that's awkward. You send the car. Where's that their
dad passed?

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I wondered, what did it start?

Speaker 6 (25:27):
The nineties?

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Like, I don't know when it started the whole.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
I have to say. There's one person that always sends
us the newsletter.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Oh okay, hold on.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
The newsletter is the recap of the year? Is that
what that is?

Speaker 17 (25:41):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
No, it is a well it's a little.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Braggy, Okay, hold on, hold on, it.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Could be a little braggy that that it's.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
A recap of what they did though.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yes, it's a recap. And they go down the line
of every single person in the family and what their
accomplishments were for the year.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Yeah, they talk about how wonderful the family and how
wonderful the year has been.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
One of my mom's niece married a trust on baby
and so they literally so their kids are like, I
don't know, middle school, in elementary school, they're listing off
he did equestrian and growing and I'm like, this kid
is seven, Like, I don't first like a great year,
but I don't care.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I would rather have someone do a newsletter with everything
that went wrong.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Start.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Yeah, let's be real here about how bad it was.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
Yeah, you well, from liking the family. The minute you
get the newsletter, you'll never speak to them again. Yeah,
it's like, no, I'm not friends with newsletter people.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Oh god, I'm sure I can get a little caddy.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
It's a lot heaterer than your kids.

Speaker 6 (26:50):
Oh, I didn't know it's going to be such a
hot topic.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Great card.

Speaker 15 (26:56):
I have a good time having fun with my friends.

Speaker 5 (27:00):
Cart has my hat and the ghosts that I worked with,
my favorite goats, Marabella and Isabella.

Speaker 15 (27:05):
So you know what, why not for having kids and family?
Why not have cats?

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Yeah, there you go. Yeah, that's not your family.

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah, I'd rather that, you know, the ones with the
pet dogs. I love those. Yeah, you know, everybody loves
dogs or animals or pets or whatever.

Speaker 4 (27:24):
If a dog, yeah, if a dog's in the picture,
that makes it better, I think.

Speaker 6 (27:27):
Yeah, like a picture of your horse, you know, holidays, Okay,
you riding the horse.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
I think this is gonna be a good job because
everybody has feelings. I'm telling you, it's the worst day
moms and dads. If you've not done it yet, it's
going to be the worst day as a family. Gathering
the family for the picture yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
And you ever notice that when you book these photographers
they do it in ten minute increments?

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Yeah, yeah, in and out. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
I have to say we did one with the kids
and Riley was literally a baby. We put them on
a lite chair and he fell off the chair and
hit his head and you will never forget it.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
Yeah, it's really hard. It's really hard, really hard.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Justin Are you sending a Christmas card this year?

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Yes, we have Christmas cards? Would you like one?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Now, there's a question, would you get mad if you knew?
I just said, oh that's nice and threw.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
It away that I gave you in the past, so
it wouldn't surprise me. Well, I gave you a picture
in a frame of me and you, and you put
it in the trash.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
I'm telling you, I swear I never put that in
the trash. Somebody else did it to make me look bad.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
Okay, Well, Jessica's online one sounds like she has a
good idea here for cards.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
Jessica, what have you got for us?

Speaker 9 (28:41):
So you know, I totally agree with everything you're saying about,
like the Christmas cards and when the family send the
giant timelines out something that I've never seen before is
I received a card with a QR code to scan
to watch a video of their children talking about their
lovely accomplishments.

Speaker 19 (29:01):
Oh, but it looks like they must have like wherever
they got their cards done, literally like just had the
kids like, oh I did this.

Speaker 9 (29:13):
And I did this and I love this, and it
was just it was really weird.

Speaker 15 (29:17):
I don't need to know those things.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Imagine the production that had to be right. Imagine the
level of production that had to be the QR code,
the video getting the kids together.

Speaker 7 (29:27):
Well, that's the thing is, we're so digital now. It's
probably didn't take that much bill. They probably did like
a minute video on their phone or whatever it was,
and then they just do the QR code you scan it.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
It's actually takes no time at all.

Speaker 9 (29:40):
My boyfriend's aunt has two grown children, ages twenty four
and twenty and she still sends out.

Speaker 16 (29:47):
This news letter form Christmas card with all of their accomplishments.

Speaker 9 (29:51):
These are corona adults.

Speaker 20 (29:53):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
At all about newsletters. But topic time is next. We
want to hear. We want to hear about cards go
to our bad. We also want to hear about newsletters.
Those are my favorite topic time is next. Give us
a call six one seven nine one one Oh wait,
go ahead, John.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
I would love it if if someone has a newsletter
they got this year and would read it. Yeah, not
the names, but just read the newsletter.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
And I also want to hear from somebody who actually
sends a newsletter every year. Oh, I want to talk
to you so I can let them know they're never
going to be my friend. Time is there now?

Speaker 2 (30:32):
It's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, it is topic time. You can still give us
a call six one seven nine wait, or you can
still reach out to Justin on the talkback Mike. How
do they do Justin for the newcomers?

Speaker 6 (30:46):
So, if you have the iHeartRadio app, you can do
it when you listen to Kiss Want to Wait Live.
There's a red microphone that you tap. If you don't
have the app, you can download it. It is one
hundred percent free. Read in your phone, take us with
you anywhere you go and yet leave talkbacks. Join the show.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yeah. Topic this morning is holiday cards and those annoying newsletters.
Right before we go to the phones, Lisa off the
year said, I got a newsletter, I mean a card
with so many pictures and everything, and you don't want
to know.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
Yes, sometimes a little too much.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Let's go to Maureene. You're up first, and what have
you got? What do you think, Mareen?

Speaker 18 (31:21):
Oh my god, this is hysterical. So we had horses
growing with the kids growing up, and I had it
in my head I had to take a picture with
the three kids on their horses for the Christmas holiday.
But the horses hated each other and they would kick
and bock each other if you got if they got
near each other. But I had the kids all lined up.

(31:45):
It took us four hours to get this picture. My
daughter was crying. The picture is absolutely beautiful, beautiful, but
you can tell people you will never know the story
behind it. I was screaming, like a media, hurry up,
we're losing the light. It's November.

Speaker 21 (32:02):
We have only so much time.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
Oh god, you.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Know what you should have done. You should have shared
some of the outtakes of some of the horrible ones. Right,
everyone crying. I had a friend who did that one.

Speaker 3 (32:14):
Yeah, I agree with Lisa. I'd like to get one
with the horrible moments from the photo session.

Speaker 6 (32:18):
Oh yeah, there we were.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Let's go to Emmanuel she's up next. Emmanuel. First of all,
where are you calling from.

Speaker 15 (32:29):
I'm calling from Framingham.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Okay, give us one holiday cards newsletters? Which one you
want to take on.

Speaker 15 (32:36):
I will talk about newsletters at our house. We call
them the look at Me letters? Okay, we got another
look at me letters?

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Oh man, that's great. What was one of the first
ones you ever got?

Speaker 15 (32:53):
It was basically like literally the highlights of every single
amazing thing that went every trip, every promotion, every It
was just over the top. So that's kind of how
it started. And now we're like, oh, look at me letter,
and so now it's a big running joker.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
It really is weird. That's all about look at how
amazing we are.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
And it's the same family and they do it every
single year. It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah, okay, good one. Good one. We get the mayor
at the south end on the line, Good morning, mayor
good morning.

Speaker 22 (33:24):
I have funny Christmas card story. I have three categories
that I send. I send sentimental, I send you know,
cute ones with puppies, and then to my good friends,
I send naughty Christmas cards. Oh, one year I got
the piles mixed up and I sent a naughty Christmas
card to someone that was supposed to get a sentimental one.

(33:45):
It was a fully nude male standing by a Christmas tree.
And remember how you said which ones did they put
on their fridge? She puts it on her fridge and
every time she goes to have an ice cream, she
sees the beautiful body and she doesn't on the ice cream.

Speaker 20 (34:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
Well, speaking of the mayor.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Tonight, I was in the South End of Boston with
my boyfriend getting dinner and I was I said out
loud to him, how crazy would it be if we
ran into the maryor of the South End? And he
looked at me and he was like, I don't think
the South End has a mayor. I realized he's not
a listener of the Billion Lisa Morning.

Speaker 3 (34:28):
Show technically, right, just didn't you get a d M
or something one somebody saying, you know, he's not the
mayor of Boston.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
There was some confusion. Yeah, they thought he was a
real mayor.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
So I love that.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
Yeah, he's not.

Speaker 6 (34:44):
Well, he is the mayor of the South End in
his own mind, and for us on the Billy and Lisa's.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Show, I don't think people even living in the South
End are aware that he is the mayor of.

Speaker 6 (34:53):
The South End lives in the South End as well.

Speaker 3 (34:56):
Oh that's right, the mighty one.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
The mighty one lives in the South End. So there
you go. Anyway back to this topic. I love this.

Speaker 23 (35:03):
I love Christmas cards, especially with the little kiddo pictures.
But what I don't like is those Christmas letters that
go on and on what they started doing in January
and Debuary and how much fun they had. Ah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's so true.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
I honestly think newsletters should be outlawed.

Speaker 7 (35:26):
I really love someone to call because I know you're listening.
Don't be embarrassed. You can be anonymous who has the newsletters.
I want to talk. We need to talk.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
Yeah. I think there should be a fine for it
for sending newsletters. But when he's right, we definitely want
to hear.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
I brain right, like, why why are you so committed
to it?

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, defriend yourself.

Speaker 4 (35:45):
I don't think they're going to stop either way.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
No, they don't. They're committed.

Speaker 16 (35:50):
I have an aunt who sends the newsletters every year,
and every time it comes to the mail, we don't
even read.

Speaker 24 (35:57):
It and just basically put it to the It just
it's a little much.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
It's so annoying for some people, including me, that I
don't open them.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
I've never gotten the newsletter.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
You've never gotten.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
You just get the pictures.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Well consider yourself, like, yeah, you don't.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Get one from the cul de Sac neighbors.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
I know I'll have to be on the lookout.

Speaker 20 (36:18):
So the newsletter absolutely drives me crazy. It's either a
recap of how awesome everybody is. I'm awesome, our kids
are awesome, everything's awesome. We are so awesome. Or it's
a recap of how sick someone's been, like I've been
so sick that brooke my arm. I have a hip replacement.
I need this. This person died. Don't send the newsletter.

(36:40):
The people who care know, the people who don't know
don't care.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Or if you're going to send them and make it funny.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Yeah, right, we're talking about, like Lisa said, the bad,
the weird things that happened over a year.

Speaker 4 (36:52):
Yeah, yeah, switch it up.

Speaker 16 (36:53):
My husband's grandmother sends a holiday letter every year, but
she uses the holiday letter to roast all of her
kids and talk about all of the negative things.

Speaker 10 (37:03):
Yeah, and it's really funny.

Speaker 16 (37:04):
Everyone really looks forward to getting it every year. Yeah,
so just something fun for the holiday cards.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, flip, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
Think of this. The typical newsletter, right, is all about
the braggrate, bragging about the kids and they got into
such and such schools. And the letter comes at a
time when a lot of parents and students are worried
about getting into schools, and all they're saying is that, oh,
my kids got into all the schools they applied for.
And it's like, oh god.

Speaker 6 (37:27):
That's funny. The roast thing of the you know, all
the things they've get wrong this year. Like in October,
I had cryptocurrency sitting and it was about six thousand
dollars and so I pulled it out and spent it
because it was just sitting. And fast forward four weeks
later it quadrupled. Oh it would have been worth twenty
four thousand dollars. Cryptocurrency went up. Yeah, what an idiot.

(37:50):
See if that was on a Christmas card, I would
like that.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
But it's gambling.

Speaker 4 (37:54):
Yeah, you know.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
Yeah, let's go to Christine and conquered Christine, good morning.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Say a conquered What do you think about the cars?
The newsletters?

Speaker 17 (38:04):
So I'm guilty as charged I don't do a newsletter,
but I do a trifle because I like to have
the pictures of the kids and memories from the year.
So I mean, it might feel like a lot to somebody,
but for me, it's like, here's our year, and then
next year, I'm like, oh, yeah, that's what we did
in twenty twenty four. You know what, the newsletter just.

Speaker 7 (38:26):
Just put it in your scrap But you know, you
can remember it without having your neighbor remember it, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah, you're sending it to your neighbor who didn't go anywhere,
like you want to remember that, you should remember.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
It by yourself. And then that's what we an Instagram
for now.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, anything you're going to
do in a card posted.

Speaker 25 (38:49):
Yeah, I cannot stand the generic pictures sent to my
house by everybody's family. All I have to do is
look at it on social media and is there anyway
save your money? Don't send me a Christmas card?

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Oh, it's so true. It's all digital.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Now we have a letter. Here we go. Yeah, Lisa
online three, Good morning Lisa. It's not me, Lisa, No, no, no, Lisa,
explain yourself.

Speaker 21 (39:15):
Good morning, Okay, so I wanted to spend the letter senders.
So my twins were born premature and sick when they
were little, and I had so many people reach out
to me with prayers and cards and whatever. So the
first year started as a thank you and then it
just kind of mushroomed into updates on my kids year
after year. So fast forward twenty five years later. Last

(39:38):
year was my last public letter. I said I wasn't
going to send them anymore, and I had so many
people reach out to me and tell me that they
wanted me to keep doing the letter that I actually
am sending out another one this year.

Speaker 10 (39:51):
OK's good.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Well, then that's good. That's your group, and I enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (39:56):
Send it to the ones that say they enjoy it,
though exactly.

Speaker 21 (40:00):
Oh no, no no, And it doesn't go to the people
who see me every day and already know my life.
Yeah you know what I mean, they already know what
they do every day. I want to what I do
every day, and about my kids. But what actually ended
up happening is I've kept every single one of them.
So now it's like I have a book of our
lives with my boys to leave them.

Speaker 3 (40:17):
Yeah, but yours is another story too. It's about the
challenges of life versus XA the bragging about all the achievements.

Speaker 21 (40:26):
And you know what, absolutely, and that's why I think
people really loved mine. And I have focused on like
big things that have happened, but also just acknowledge things
that happen in the world and that things aren't great.
And I absolutely, especially like this year, my card is
very sentimental because I had so many people who didn't
have a great year, and some years it's hard to

(40:46):
celebrate the holidays when you know that people you love
are suffering. I had like a really big loss.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Lsia want to give out the address so we can
get her this letter. We'll take one. Well, it will
take one letter.

Speaker 21 (40:57):
So yeah, I just I want to defend everybody who
actually does send a good letter.

Speaker 6 (41:01):
Okay, yeah, well, thank you, thank you very much.

Speaker 24 (41:04):
I have a question, never mind a holiday newsletter. I
feel like my kids are fifteen, seventeen, nineteen, and twenty one.
Do people really even want a picture of them anymore?
I've been struggling with should I do a picture card?

Speaker 8 (41:17):
Still?

Speaker 24 (41:17):
Are they too old?

Speaker 4 (41:19):
Well, if you're looking for an answer, here you go.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Regarding the Christmas cards.

Speaker 24 (41:25):
Hey, if your children have beards, please don't send a
Christmas card.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
It's whatever.

Speaker 6 (41:32):
So we'll talk more about this in the wrap up
at nine forty. Happy Monday, everybody.

Speaker 4 (41:38):
