Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
It's just a great start.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
To my day on Kiss one away.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Oh okay, wow, good morning, everybody. Welcome into the Billy
and Lisa Morning Show. It is the big Friday show
and the first the forecast for the weekend least.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
What's today going to be like?

Speaker 5 (00:19):
It's just it's not gonna be great. It's gonna be cloudy,
kind of rain, mixed sleep mix. Later a high forty
one though, but then tomorrow the temperature plummets again into
like the twenties.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Well, the good news is it's the last day of
January exactly. We can finally say goodbye to January.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Bde bye.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
And by the way, I think officially on record, it's
the coldest January ever. I could be wrong. I could
have made that up. And here's why I want to
caution all of you and everybody listening, because I happen
to have a minor ie infection, and I firmly believe

(01:00):
that the eye infection is causing serious brain fog.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I don't think it's the eye infection You've always had.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Brain No, this is something else.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
So anything can happen, and I could say anything without
warning and not even realize it.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Well wait a second, are you doing anything for the
eye infection?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I've like annointment here and there, But you know, what
do you do? You usually just wait things out?

Speaker 4 (01:22):
Right?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Oh my god, now I see it.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Yeah, it's okay, it's exploding.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
You see what I'm talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Is that your waterline? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Oh yeah, yeah, It's bizarre, isn't it. I think I
could also, by the way, be permanently disfigured.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm laughing.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
I know it's interesting that you find advantaging.

Speaker 5 (01:40):
Because I offered a few days ago to call a
doctor to see if they could prescribe drops for you,
and you're like, I'm all set, so I will do
it today if you want me to.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
You know, it's funny.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I was just in studio with Justin for like forty
five minutes at least, right, He never said a thing,
but I knew he was staring at you.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
It's hard, it's hard to miss it's bulging out. You
need the eyepatch, I think.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
And this is the morning we debut on w b Z. Yeah,
that's your life and I have an exploding eye.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
At least he was. He was exploding in my studio
this morning. I would have had a good candid microphone,
but he completely crossed the line. Oh no, the craziest
I ever heard.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Projessay was sitting there and the look of absolute awe
on her face.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I know you can't play it, but can I listen
to it?

Speaker 4 (02:29):
I'll tell you. I mean, I'll give you a little sample,
real quick, just a little sample, all right? You want
to with me? And I'm just getting started. Okay, that's
all I can play.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Why does that exist with you?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Who's messing with you?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Nobody were talking ready, he was talking about tying people
to chair. Really, I don't know. It's a fog. I
told you, I can't you.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
I can't predict what's going to come out of my skull.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Okay, so this.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Morning, people that have like eye diseases or are blind
or like degenerate things like that, you don't like, Does
that affect them or is it just you?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Like you're the only one that crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
I think if there's an expert listening, like an I
expert or something, I think they confirmed the fact that
whatever is happening in my eye is seeping into my
brain and it's not my fault. If I say outrageous
things without.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
You know, when you know, when you watch out with
me all right, when he don't even start. I'm telling
you I know.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Everybody connected to you, okay, and I'll find them, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
What's my last name?

Speaker 7 (03:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Good? Look, fine, good luck finding Corey, good luck finding them.
You don't even know.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
I know where you live, Randolph.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
You know what you come on? Bill, It's okay, it's
not either. I'm telling you something.

Speaker 8 (03:58):
I am feeling like this morning could be it like
it's going to create like a nationally covered story.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Can I can I just agree with you?

Speaker 5 (04:11):
I feel the same way long months.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, I want to go on the roof a long
week God, like on the edge. Things are going to
shoot out of my mouth this morning, and like without warning,
there could be a squirt. You don't know because I'll
just go to touch my eye and Lisa, you're sitting right,

(04:37):
you're in the line of sight.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I really am what I like now.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
For instance, I'm shouting.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Why right, I've never been happier to be in a
different studio today. You guys are making your big TV debut.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Right before seven o'clock, Lisa and I are going to
be on w BZ TV US right, and we'll talk about, well,
I think you'll fire Aid last night the Grammys, and
let's see if they notice. Okay, well, all right, it'd
be weird if they don't.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I don't think they're very nice Paula and Crystal.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
If they do, they no, you know what's gonna happen.
The director in the control room is going to be
in Paula and Chris's ear and they're gonna be saying, yeah,
what's what's going on with Billy's.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I can I can picture Chris Tanaka in his airpiece.
I'm telling you this conversation. This is an example, this
conversation we just had.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I never saw that coming, Like I never ever expected
to be talking about my eye.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
But anyway, oh my god, we're minutes from going.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
It's just so listen. Fire Aid last night was for phenomenal.
It was broadcasting here on Kissing nine hundred of our
stations around the country and it was a great show.
And we're gonna take you there. Also, don't forget the
Sammy Awards are Sunday night. It's the biggest night of
the year in music. We'll be talking about that and
the nominees and the favorites and the possible snubs. That's

(06:07):
all going on this morning. But also we have our
first local Legend of twenty twenty five and that's happening
this morning and it all starts next.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss, one of eight studios.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
We're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning. I Kiss.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Okay, we're back. We're ready to go with the entertainment.
This is a huge weekend. It's Grammy weekend. But first
you got talkbacks justin.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Yeah, if you missed the open of the show, it's
going to be a crazy Friday episode of the Billy
and Lisa Show. Billy Costa is on one. He's got
an eye infection and he's crazier than that. Good morning, guys,
this is Carlos.

Speaker 9 (06:44):
It's about to be seven thirty here in the Caribbean.

Speaker 10 (06:47):
It's crazy that.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
I've been here for a while now and I get
up every day to listen to you guys. And this
is the reason I'm here cracking. I can't stop laughing.
This is ridiculous.

Speaker 11 (06:59):
We NEI.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
And Billy. You guys are killing me here, man.

Speaker 10 (07:04):
This is crazy.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, Billy is unhinged. His his eye is about to squirt.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
I don't know what's amazing to me. And I'm telling
you I have a brain fog from the eye.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
You definitely do. So it's gonna be a fun show.

Speaker 10 (07:18):
Justin Please tell me you saved that piece of audio
where Billy just said without warning, there'll be a squirt.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
I mean, you know you're dealing with right here. Come on,
there could be a squirt.

Speaker 11 (07:31):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
The entertainment update with a Billy cobsay.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Oh boy, Okay.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Let's start with the Fire Aid concert. It aired last
night on as many as nine hundred iheartstations, including right
here on Kiss one Await. All the money raised going
directly to relief efforts to Billy Crystal, like so many
people out on the West Coast, totally lost everything as
family home, and he hosted the first part of the show.

Speaker 12 (07:54):
Hello La and everybody watching around the world watching us,
Welcome to Fire eight.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
We got it here. At the key of form, A
goal is simple.

Speaker 12 (08:02):
Tonight, to raise more money than a Dodger spent on
free agents. You will be hearing from a number of
people who were tragically affected by these.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Fires, and I am one of them.

Speaker 13 (08:16):
I stepped onto the grounds and I fell to my
knees and I wailed. I had not cried like that
since I was fifteen years old and I was told
that my father had just died. This was the only
thing that was left. I felt there was a message
from that fifteen year old me saying it's going to
be okay, and it will be okay.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah, that was the big message last night. It will
be okay. Billy Eilish and Green Day opened the show.
Later in the show, Billy and her brother Phineas did
a few songs, including Birds of a Feather.

Speaker 7 (08:50):
Crying for a Hide, more Shime be long, but Baby.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Nice, gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Yeah, I'm obsessed with that song.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Painted a really nice version of vote what about Us?

Speaker 14 (09:14):
What about?

Speaker 11 (09:16):
What about them?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Sacks just said you are the answer?

Speaker 4 (09:22):
What about? What about all the broken?

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Happy?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Ever After, Katy Perry did a few songs, including Roar
and the California Girls with.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
We're forgett Aboot Daisy Dude's Cookie He sounds hop it
sounds biscuits so hot.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well match your potical.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
That was song writing.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Huh, that's the best.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Don't forget.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
Katy Perry comes to Boston August eighth, the tickets actually
go on sale this morning to ten o'clock. Meantime, Lady
Gaga last night did the song Shallow, which I love,
but she also debuted a song that she wrote just
for the victims of the fire and last night's show.

Speaker 9 (10:11):
When I was thinking about what to sing tonight, I
thought I wanted to do something hopeful for you, and
I was thinking about my songs and there wasn't anything
that seems quite right. So me and my friend Michael,
my fiance, my love, we wrote this song for you.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
And justin it is new Music Friday, So let's play
a click wist that I concern.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
The song around.

Speaker 7 (10:41):
If I can find a different real way.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
All I need is time.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
On I need it is time.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
All I need is time to heal my broke in wings.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
And then also all.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
You need is time, and they're gonna need a lot
of it. I mean, just total devastation out there in California.
But new music Friday, justin, what else have you got?

Speaker 4 (11:10):
So The Weekend's brand new album was pushed back from
last week to this week because of fire ay, but
it finally dropped. It's called Hurry Up Tomorrow, and he's
calling it the last album as the Weekend, he is
saying goodbye to that name. There's no word on what
he's going to be called. Maybe Able. You know, I
named my son Abel. So all day long for New
Music Friday will be featuring songs from the album, including

(11:33):
right After seven o'clock. But this one's called Cry for Me.
This is one of my faces for sure. One thing
to really point out with The Weekend's, you know, last
couple of albums is the production. The production is very

(11:55):
very well done. It's very well produced. And how about
this one. This one's called wake Me Up. See if
you can guess the song that he interpolates on this
listen closely.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
All right, I love it?

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Come on, Michael Jackson, very good?

Speaker 11 (12:17):
What song?

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Thriller?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
That's right?

Speaker 11 (12:20):
Who who?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Faith?

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Yeah, And he's often compared to Michael Jackson. Their voice
is not the dancing obviously, but yeah, all day long
on Kiss you'll hear all the songs from Hurry Up Tomorrow. Yeah,
good job.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
Justin meantime, Grammy Awards Biggest nine of the Year in
Music this coming Sunday night, and Beyonce has the most
nominations with eleven. Billie Eilish Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Charlie
XCX all have seven each, but Lisa. Everybody's talking about
best and new artist and ready.

Speaker 5 (12:52):
To get that exactly it is Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter,
Chapel Rowan, Shaboozy Teddy Swims. But for me, it's up
against Chapel Rowan, those two. I have to go with
Chapel Roan. It's the Grammys. Yeah, she's an artist artist.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I'm gonna go Sabrina.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
I know I it was our biggest song especially, it
was huge.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
It's crazy because it's like her sixth album since high school.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
This is like her first breakout.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
All right, we'll see Sunday Night.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
By the way, today marks the ten year anniversary of
the famous morning show moment when I was about to
do my Grammy report and without me knowing it, Maddie
and all you guys changed my voice.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
We figured, let's relive it. We want to talk about
the wars, the Grammy Awards. Okay, love the Grammys.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
All right, let's hear about that.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Let's fine.

Speaker 4 (13:52):
Sunday Night, Sunday Night, the Grammys.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Wow sss, which for all the Ronalds, the very serious
statement yesterday.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Well, let's hear it.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
I'll sent it out to all those attending the Grammars.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Okay, what to rare?

Speaker 8 (14:13):
What not to raun?

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Okay? What do you wear?

Speaker 3 (14:15):
These are standards, unpracticing practices of the Grammy Awards.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Number one, number one, be sure, number one and least
pay attention.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
Okay, Alvin, be sure what bubocks on female breasts are
on a direct cabins?

Speaker 4 (14:43):
Well, there you go.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
It's a Grammy moment when you think of it, a
Grammy moment.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Right there.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
We move on Hozier announcing a new tour yesterday. That
tour will come to Fendway Park here in Boston June
twenty third. Netflix is going ahead with the show Build
the Band, even though it features uh the late Liam
Payne as one of the judges.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
No air date yet, but they're green lighting and it's
going to happen.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
And no release date yet for Stranger Things season five,
but creators are saying every single episode will be like
a movie, eight blockbuster movies.

Speaker 5 (15:19):
Now, you guys don't want what what are they going
to come out with the release date on this? They
just keep talking about it.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
You're thinking summer. I'm thinking summer.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (15:27):
I think the first season premiered in July, so they
might the last season. Maybe they'll premiere in July two.
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Yeah, I can't wait either.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
See I didn't watch the show. Should I start from scratch?

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Well, if it's this summer, you have time.

Speaker 10 (15:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
Did you watch Outer Banks? You can watch Strangers?

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Okay, I dabble in all four seasons.

Speaker 4 (15:47):

Speaker 4 (16:18):
It's all right.

Speaker 10 (16:19):
So listen, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going
to come into the studio and I'm going to stand
there and I'll just be like the guard. But it's
a squirt and I'll catch.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
It from the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios. We're
back with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Kiss okay, Welcome in everybody, So justin. These talkbacks are
becoming one of my favorite favorite segments.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
On the show. You're a big fan of the talkback.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
We're now dedicating an entire segment to talkbacks.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
We are, We're not okay, So it is the villains
the show. You can do whatever you want.

Speaker 10 (16:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
I like to think the whole show is about the talkbackers.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
I agree with that too. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
They add so much. They really do.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
They really do. And there are people that check in there,
you know, throughout the morning on different topics, especially when
they're traveling around the world. That's a big one. I
kind of feel like they just make us want to
make us jealous.

Speaker 10 (17:09):

Well, they name themselves the Talkbackers, which was courage.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Well, she's going far.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Yeah, and it seems like the talkbackers are traveling a
lot more than what are they are?

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Yeah, they are.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
It's hard for us to get to Australia.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
It's pretty far. It's a long trip. Boy Bill's Ben,
Yeah he is.

Speaker 1 (17:42):

Adults that need jobs that have disabilities.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
It's awesome. It reminds me of Shane Gillis is a
comedian and his family. He has several members of his
family who have Down syndrome. So his family opened a
cafe in Pennsylvania for only people that have Down syndrome
and the line is around the block every single day. Awesome. Yeah.
He talks about it in a stand up and he
says that like people go there and they know the

(20:47):
order is going to be wrong, but they don't care.
That's right. Yeah, it's really cool. Anyway. Coming up next

the weekend. This one's called Cry for Me All day long.
You hear the weekend on Kiss one O eight Lisa,

(21:09):
Kiss one o eight, Hey guys, and welcome back. It's
the Big Friday show weather wise or what are we
looking at?

Speaker 5 (21:14):
At least the murky day but warm temps in the forties,
but a possible mix of snow, sleet.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Rain, oh yeah in certain spots.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
In certain spots, and then twenties tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
So that's back so close to fifty today and then
back into the twenties tomorrow. Welcome to New England. And
by the way, goodbye to January. Thank god, one of
the coldest januaries on record, maybe the coldest January on record,
felt like it. But switching topics, let's talk about the Grammys,
the biggest weekend in music, the Grammy Awards. It's happening
this coming Sunday night, and we've got all the categories

(21:48):
in front of us, and we'll run by some of
the categories and we will vote on who we think
is going to win, and we'll see how we make
out on Monday. So at least let's start with Album
of the Year.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
So Album of the Year, Andre three thousand, Beyonce for
a Cowboy, Carter, Sabrina Carpenter, Short and Sweet Charlie XCX
for Brat, Jacob Collier, Billy Eilish, Chapel Rowan, Taylor Swift,
Tortured Poets, Departman. Now, Beyonce's never won this category, which
I can't believe, but she's never won. My vote's gonna
go for her, Well for Beyonce, Yes, for Beyonce.

Speaker 3 (22:20):
Uh, I'm gonna go Billy Eilish on Album of the Year.
Although when you think of it, Beyonce's country album hit
everybody by surprise, and all of a sudden, all the
pop artists were doing country news, We're doing collabs. Severe
impact from that album, right.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
But doesn't it seem like the album came and went quickly. Yes,
the Beyonce album, there was a lot of hype. It
came out, we listened, and then it kind of dropped
off to me. So I wouldn't be surprised if it
did win. But that is not my pick. Oh what
is your pick? My pick is Sabrina Carpenter is short
and sweet. Oh really, it's a great album. Yeah, I
think you know all right, I'm going Billy Oulis.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
So I'm Billy Eilish, Lisa, you are Beyonce and Justin
you are, Sabrina car.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
You and I are together. Choose the same one. Okay,
we're no fun.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Well, okay, so dona take some What's the Jacob Guy?

Speaker 4 (23:11):
Charlie XCX, Chapel Roon.

Speaker 1 (23:13):
Who's the Jacob Guy, Lisa, what's his name?

Speaker 4 (23:15):
No, you pick who you think is gonna win. The jacob.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Are very commercial.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
That's why I never go with Sabrina Carpenter because a
massive commercial hit.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Give me the Jacob Guy.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
Then all right, she wants Jake the Jacob Guy. That's
your vote category.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Okay, so Record of the Year, this is another big one.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
So the Beatles Beyonce, Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie XCX, Billie Eilish,
Kendrick Lamar, Chapel Roan, and Taylor Swift Post MALONEA.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Yeah, I know who my pick is, but go ahead, Lise.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
I'm gonna do Billie Eilish Birds of a Feather. I
I think that song is perfect.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
They like her, they love her.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
She hits it on both sides, right.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
She's like sort of commercial, but she's like an artist artist,
She's grown as an artist.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
So Birds and a.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
Feather, give me the noumbinies again in there Okay, the Beatles, Beyonce,
Sabrina Carpenter, Charlie XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Chapel Rowan
or Taylor Swift and Post Malone.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
Sabrina Carpenter for me, Yeah, that's a good choice. Bill Yeah,
it was Kiss the song of Summer.

Speaker 17 (24:23):
It was.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
It was the most played song on Kiss one twenty four.
And so Justin, you are for Record of the Year.
Come on, baby, he's doing the super Bowl next week.
Kendrick Klaman not like un.

Speaker 16 (24:35):
To strike a chord.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
And it's not about who you like the most, it's
about who you think is going to win the cab.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Kendrick Klamar is going to win this category. All right,
I'm gonna call that a long shot. No, I will not.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
I've read a lot actually about that is projected to
be to be a big win.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
Wow, Winnie got care what Justin says. I'm picking the
same pig as Lisa Hern. I've been talking about this
all the week, how this song Birds of a Feather
is the perfect song for both commercial and artists.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
I know you do love the song, so you know
that song is the highest she's ever sung out of
all her songs, that song she hit the highest.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
She keeps going higher and higher and higher towards.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
The end of the song last night's acoustic version, so good, amazing.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Okay, So now the best New Artist every year?

Speaker 4 (25:25):
This is a big one and sometimes controversial.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Yes, So who have you gotten the best New Artist category?

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Least?

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (25:32):
So it's Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doci this one.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
I can't k.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
Gang bang okay, rays that's how you pronounce it.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
That's what it looks like. Oh it's okay, it's krang
bangkan kwang bin. It looks like gang bang.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
It does Chapel Roanboozy, Teddy Swims.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
I love Teddy Swims. I'm gonna say Teddy Swims because
I know that.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
I think Sabrina is too commercial.

Speaker 6 (26:02):
They just hate commercial bents and Boon's pretty commercial.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
You come from commercial. Teddy Swims is still more, you know.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
So when he has Teddy Swims least.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
I'm doing Chapel Roan just because she this was her
breakout year, breakout album. They love She's like an artist artist,
so I'm going with her.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
I'm going Chapel Roone as well. Can you get I
don't want to pick somebody just because it's different.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
I want to win.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
She you don't win anyway.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Okay, we played do she Wants Something? Where today the.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Best new Artists?

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Alright, okay, all right, so.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
We have everybody on this line. Okay, so Lisa and Billiyaboth.
I'm trying to take notes here, Chapel roone, Crang Bang Boo,
go to Lang Bang the Kang Bang Isn't isn't isn't
nominated in this God Billy Best New Artist. I'm going
Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Oh wow, you're like going all in on her.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah too, I do like her.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Yeah, So there you go. Grammy predictions.

Speaker 10 (27:08):
I don't have any Grammy predictions.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
I'm just here to say Beyonce had one of the
best videos.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Yes, she did, had one of her best videos of
all time.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
Imagine if Beyonce sweeps, if Kanye showed up and ran
on stage.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Oh man, you think jay Z will be there? I
know Beyonce is going to be there, so is Taylor's.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
I'm sure he will be Anyway, we're coming up on
topic time. The topic is the Grammy Awards.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
You give us a call six month, seven nine eight
how do they get to the dark bag.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Justin Yeah, you can record your message what you want
to say through your phone. The iHeartRadio app is the
easiest and best way to do that. Tap that red
microphone when you stream kiss one on what are your
picture of the Grammys and why? Topic time is necktop Now.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
It's Topic Time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah, the topic this week. We announce it a few
minutes ago, the Grammy Awards. I mean, it's the biggest
night of the year in music and it's happening this
Sunday night.

Speaker 10 (28:06):
Line.

Speaker 5 (28:06):
This is my favorite award show, hands down, for the Grammys.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
Yeah, it's really the biggest concert you will ever go
to or ever witness, all in one night and on
one stage.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
And that's this coming Sunday night. What have you got there,
joh I was gonna say a couple of minutes ago,
we gave our predictions on who's gonna win, Just to
recap that. For Album of the Year, Lisa chose Beyonce,
Billy chose Billy, Eilish, Winnie chose Jacob Collier. We're not familiar, but.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
A new artist only could You wouldn't let me pick
Bill Billy.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Eilis, well, I wanted you to spice it up a
little bit, and I chose Sabrina Carpenter for Album of
the Year. For Best New Artist, Lisa and Billy say,
I let Billy do it, but I didn't let you.
I'm sorry. Winnie Yep, I chose Chapel Roon, Winnie chose
Teddy Swims, and I chose once again Sabrina Carpenter. And
for a Record of the Year, Billy Eilish was chosen

(28:59):
by both Lisa and Winnie. Billy chose Sabrina Carpenter for Espresso,
and I chose Kendrick Lamar. Not like us, You're really
believing in Kendrick Lamar winning that, Yeah, I really do.
The song was massive, I mean all these songs were massive,
but I think Kendrick is going to be a surprise
him well.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
Plus a lot of votes are going like they're spread
out for all these women, So I'm telling you Kendrick
could come up as the winner.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
And I feel like Kendrick's one of those rappers that
he's very appreciated by the Grammys.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
The rappers get that kind of love that he gets
from the Grammys.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
And the industry. Is embracing him. I mean he is
doing the Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Yeah, of it. None of us picked Taylor Swift, I know,
in any category Record of the Year.

Speaker 18 (29:44):
I feel like Riley's head is exploding in her booth
in there, and Riley Mine is too. Guys, Taylor may
be commercial, but those songs are extraordinary. And just because
she's like super popular and everybody loves her and her
tours totally sold out, that does not make her songs
poppy or commercial. Her songs are very well written. She's

(30:04):
a poet. She crushes it at the Grammys. I will
bet you all.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Now, Okay, can I just make something I learned last
night when I was doing a little research.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Taylor Swift has never won Song.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Of the Year.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
That's surprise, which is surprising because that's she is a singer, songwriter.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
She's never won, and.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
She's up for Song of the Year.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
She is and really known for her song, right, which
is so surprising.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (30:31):
This year is a really, really tough year. It is
a lot of competition. I mean most years are, but
like I don't listen, there were just so many better songs.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
I think Beyonce and Taylor Swift both. I mean, it's
top artists in the world right. Both had amazing albums,
But I feel like both albums came and then kind
of fizzled out quickly. Some of these other ones stuck
around for the whole year. They were bigger.

Speaker 6 (30:53):
I felt like the post alone song with her Fortnite Fortnite,
I like it.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
I do like it.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
It's a good song, Kissed. We didn't play it a
ton now.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
By the way, my wife was not happy with that
song because they tease the collaboration. She's a huge Post
Malone fan, and he's only on the very end of
the song. It's kind of where it is a good song. Yeah,
he kind of just harmonizes in the back. You didn't
have a verse.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I love that song and I love him on it,
but you're right, there's not much post.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
But you know what's funny.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
The talkbacker mentioned producer Riley, who is a super swiftie.
She's not even in her studio. Is she protesting that
we haven't.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
That's sad.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
I'm out of here between Billies, between Billy's Eye Infection
and the Taylor snuffs this show.

Speaker 14 (31:42):
Although she has amazing competition, I think that Sabrina Carpenter
deserves to take everything Best New Artist, Best.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
New Album, best everything.

Speaker 16 (31:53):
She came in and took no prisoners.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
I mean, miss ma'am shouldn't win it all. I think
she'll get one. I just don't think it's going to be.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
We love her, absolutely love her. She's my favorite. But
I for the Grammys, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
But when you think of it in terms of Kiss
one away and how often we played her music, she
would win. Hands Yeah, she's our number one here, Sabrina Carpenter.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
I've got her for Record of the Year, Yes you do, Bill,
I have it right here, so we'll find out on Monday.
Another category I want to bring attention to that we
did not talk about is Songwriter of the Year, and
one person in particular, Amy Allen.

Speaker 10 (32:27):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
Amy Allen has written a lot of the biggest songs
on Kiss. She wrote I think every song on Sabrina
Carpenter's album she wrote apt I mean she is super talented,
so I'm rooting for her. She's also a New England girl, right,
Yes she is.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
She's from Maine. Go Amy Allen.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Yeah, if you're not familiar with her, you should definitely
get familiar She's written a lot of songs, super talented.

Speaker 11 (32:48):
The first song I ever had on the radio is
a song called back to You, Oh No, I go
back to You Selina sang and I've always been a
fan of Selina, so that was like something so exciting
for me. And then I did this song called Without
Me Daniel, and then I got to write a little
bit with Harry Styles and we did a song called
the Door You.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Matilda, Do You Talk the Pain?

Speaker 11 (33:15):
More recently, I co wrote with Sabrina and her whole
new album, which was really fun, like Espresso, I'm working
May because I'm.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Please, pleasease, please, and say working.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
All the top.

Speaker 4 (33:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
So Amy Allen wrote the line I'm working late because
I'm a singer.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
Yes, she did, and you know what, it's a pretty
dirty line.

Speaker 16 (33:40):
The microphone bill, Yeah baby, because I'm a singer.

Speaker 17 (33:47):
But it's not I'm not being specific, but I just
hope that the Grammys are not predictable. You know, I
would like to see Chapel Romwin. I love Billy and
I love Beyonce, but Sabrina, Chapel like those are great
artists too.

Speaker 10 (34:06):
That's all I'm saying. Thank you.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
Yeah, I know, I know what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
We agree.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
I know it's like you think one artist should win
and then they kind of throw a curve ball there.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Well, I got Chapel roone for the Best New Artist.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
I do too.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
I'm just saying the categories are stacked this year. Yeah,
they definitely more than ever.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Definitely.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
Remember there used to be only like four nominees. Now
they have like twenty two.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
I don't know why they nominate so many people.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
Yeah, even the iHeartRadio Music Awards, which come up mid March.
I mean they've got ten or twelve nominees in certain categories.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
Yeah, you're right. It used to be three nominees.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
R sacked. I don't know when they started doing eight
or nine. It's a lot.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Well, it means a lot of great music is being made.

Speaker 11 (34:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
Yeah, good morning.

Speaker 16 (34:48):
Everyone, Happy Friday. So, as we know, it's Grammy s weekend.

Speaker 10 (34:54):
A lot of talent all in lunch spot. So I
have a question for all of you.

Speaker 14 (35:00):
What is your hidden talent?

Speaker 4 (35:03):
Our hidden talent?

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Oh, Billy lis uh, well, I'm a drummer. Okay, Lisa
Whinnie hold off, I'm not going to ask you yet, but.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Go to Winnie. I don't I'm thinking, I.

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Don't hidden talent. I don't know if you're a singer.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
Okay, I'm a singer.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Yeah, you're working on a record.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Yeah, okay, I'll go to sing it.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Okay, Justin?

Speaker 1 (35:28):
What's yours?

Speaker 4 (35:30):
M I don't know. I can't think of one. Oh,
come on, I don't know. I do ice bats. I
don't know. I can stand in ice bats for ten minutes.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
That's a talent.

Speaker 4 (35:39):
That's tolerance. Tolerance, tolerance. Yesterday I did. I did thirty
minutes at one hundred and ninety degrees in the sauna,
and I did six minutes at thirty three degrees in
the ice. Oh wow, Yes, that's Is that a talent?
I don't know?

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Okay, Justin, get ready with the crush button?

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Oh yeah, the dump button? Winnie, what's your hidden talent?

Speaker 1 (36:00):
You know what costa? I would let you let you
in on it, but it's not proper for.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Billy and Lisa all the morning.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Wow, it's been a crazy show so far.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Justin What We Like to Do is relived the previous
hour for the sake of those who may have missed out.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
Yeah, you and Lisa made your TV debuts on wb
Z this morning. Six fifty five. You joined Paula and
Chris live from our studios. We watched it on our TVs.
You talked about the fire aid last night and the Grammys,
so congrats. That'll happen every morning, so Monday morning since
fifty five, if you listen at home before you leave
to work, you can watch Billy and Lisa and then

(36:39):
get in your car and listen to us on the radio.
There's very nice. It was fun. Yea yeah. And then
a couple of minutes ago we gave our Grammy predictions
for this weekend. It's the biggest night in music.

Speaker 19 (36:47):
I think definitely Sabrina Carpenter has a great chance at
winning Best New Artists. But I don't think anyone should
count out Chapel Rowan either. I think she had a
great year and she is amazing and unique and talent,
and I think that there's a great chance that she
might appeal to the Grammys.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
So that's just my two cents.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
Well, there you go. We'll find out on Monday.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
And we agree with her.

Speaker 4 (37:09):
Yes, yes, And it was started as a crazy show.
Billy's eye is leaking. I don't know what's going on.
He has some kind of infection. You are right in
the bill.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
I feel a little better, but a little foggy.

Speaker 10 (37:21):
Okay, all right, Billy, I'm sorry, but this could be serious.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
You need to see a doctor.

Speaker 10 (37:27):
Not only that.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
If it's an infection, you're going to give it to
the rest of the crew. Get to the doctor.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
Yeah, get to the doctor.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Can you imagine if we all came in with pink
eye Monday?

Speaker 4 (37:41):
Not me, I'm in a different room.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Oh, but today's are little you know.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
I'm not sitting next to him right now, you and him. Yeah, well,
anything could happen. There could be a squirk.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
I hope it's not in my direction.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Right in the line of sight out Lisa. There it goes.

Speaker 13 (38:02):
I got
