Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good jam right there, Chris Martin, cole play by the way,
come into town. There'll be a Gillette Stadium. July fifteenth
and sixteenth at LISTA. You have to relive your sit
down interview with Chris Martin.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Okay, so you know the mighty mccabee.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Months ago when this show was announced, I walked over
to his office and I said, is there any way
we can request an interview? So I don't know where
it stands, but I think it's been fifteen years and
I think we need a redo.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Well, I found your moments, his moments with you to
be therapeutic.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
An incredibly relaxed interview. Yes, it was almost therapeutic.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, he's going to be on the road. He needs therapy.
He needs you, Lisa.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I hope it happens.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
You got to relax them.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Yeah, I hope so too. I guarantee he remembers you,
I hope.
Speaker 6 (00:42):
So.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Well, I don't know, you get a big hug from
Chris Martin.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It will just be so it would be so exciting.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yeah. Well, well we'll keeping got it. Yeah, we'll work
on it. In the meantime. When talkbacks from this morning
of people joining the show and various different topics that
we talk about. You know, that's the beautiful thing about
this show. We chat about something and people join in
the conversation, which we appreciate. Obviously, a big story this
week is the halftime show with Kendrick Lamar.
Speaker 7 (01:07):
Not sure if you'll be talking about the halftime show.
After watching I became so interested in Kendrick Lamar because
the choreography and the symbolism of his show was just amazing.
He has a Pulitzer Prize, he has twenty two Grammys.
He doesn't drink, he doesn't do drugs. He graduated high
school with the four point zero. He he love's poetry.
(01:30):
He's amazing.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
Yeah, I love that.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
A lot of people were not familiar with Kendrick Lamar,
and a lot of them chose to say I hate this, Yeah,
I hate it. Who is this?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
They didn't understand it.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Yeah, it's okay to not like something. I mean, there
were plenty of, you know, halftime performances. I didn't like
the weekeain horrible. I mean, the weekend wasn't the best,
but it wasn't the worst either.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
What's the worst you can think of a recent memory?
Speaker 4 (01:54):
I wasn't a big fan of the j Lo Shakiro one.
Oh yeah, it was okay, you know, but I didn't
complain on social media about it. I just moved on
with my life. Well, Kendrick Lamar is certainly not complaining.
Not like us.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Jumped on Spotify by like four.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Yeah, they not like us. Come on, they not like us,
They not like us.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
I love the show.
Speaker 8 (02:15):
I just wanted to mention that I was on TikTok
last night and I watched a deep dive into the
Kendrick Lamar halftime show fascinating, so much more involved and
meaning deep meaning into every aspect of it that I
had no idea since I don't really follow Kendrick Lamar anyway.
(02:36):
I just wanted to mention it. Have a great day, bye.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Isn't that exactly what we were saying on the show
yesterday about the halftime show?
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Absolutely, even just what you said yesterday justin about the
game over at the end and how he wanted it
to look like a video game.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Like the PlayStation controller. Yes, which there are theories that
Sony owns Drake's record label, so.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Interesting, we don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
My favorite part that was Williams. I'm sorry, I can't
stop watching her dance.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
I know she.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Wasssed, I said, boys, she can dance.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
She looked so happy.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah, so good.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
Yeah, her fit her.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Shit, Yeah, it was amazing.
Speaker 9 (03:12):
She was crip walking, yeah, on his on Drake's graves
and a tennis outfah.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Yeah. And let's not forget we didn't even mention this.
Speaker 9 (03:19):
Drake also dated says we did not mention that, and
he did date Sis.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
For a little bit. Yeah, yep. Yeah. Also on the
show this morning, we mentioned euphoria. Bill had that story
in his entertainment, which, by the way, is coming up
at eight forty. They started filming Buddy a brand new seat.
Speaker 7 (03:35):
My kids, who were teenagers when it was out, watched
it and said I will never do drugs, So highly
recommend it.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
There you go, there's one perspective, Yeah, because it goes
deep into drug use as.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
Somebody, as somebody who obviously I've struggled with with addiction
in my life. Zendia put on one of the best
performances of an addict playing an addict that I've ever seen. Yeah,
it is phenomenal.
Speaker 9 (04:02):
Okay, but didn't she just say that her kids wore
teenagers and they're no longer. That's crazy that that's how
long ago this started hasn't finished yet?
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah, I think it's been three years since the last season.
Speaker 9 (04:12):
That's insane. They're taking that much for a drinking season.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
And one of the one of the main cast members died, Yeah, overdose.
That's right, boy, that was so long ago, I know.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Yeah, Angus Cloud was it Ingus Cloud?
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah, I played fake. It was a great show.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
I felt creepy watching it at first, but then I
didn't even care because it was so good.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Well, I don't want to talk about TV with you
because you refuse to watch Severance. But you watched The
Outer Banks last night.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Okay, I watched an occasional episode.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
You're rewatching out the Banks.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
So I think I was a pirate in another life.
So I'm fascinated by the hunt.
Speaker 9 (04:47):
Well, John, you're fascinated by a bunch of seventeen year
olds played by thirty year olds.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
And I loved our being that first, but I'm off.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Now they're closer to forty now, Yeah I was.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
I was then driving New Hampshire over the weekend and
there was a license plate in front of me and
said John, boy.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, basically had to take a picture later Banks because
it's much later.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Yeah, yeah, you won't watch Severance. What a shame.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
We need to discuss off the air seven episodes.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
I still don't get Yeah, two seasons in doesn't relax.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Kids went to wait with a Billy and Lisa's weird stories.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
You know, social media does do some good.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
A sad donkey named e Yoor is doing much better
after getting a new home in Canada. He is living
in a sanctuary home called Home for Hoofs and they
gave him a yoga ball to play with at the home,
but then he popped it and then social media got involved.
Speaker 10 (05:46):
The excitement was just like pure joy for him. He
just had the time of his life. It was like
so much fun and his ball was deflate in and
he was trying to play with it. It was like
a kid in the candy store. This was like the
greatest thing ever. It's just nice for him to be
part of a family and they can do donkey things together.
So that's really exciting. This is the life we want
him to have and now he has.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
It's more.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
People on social media are sending yoga balls, so they
have like a lot of yoga balls for all the donkeys.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
There you go.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
That's awesome. I went to a donkey sanctuary in Aruba.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Oh that's so cool.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Really a sanctuary for donkeys. You could walk amongst them
into their little you know, where they live, and then
you could feed them and hang out.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Was that like on the other side of the eyelids? Yeah,
so you take a long jeep bride and there.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Yeah. I didn't know. It was our first time in Ruba.
I didn't know Ruba was generally safe. I thought it
was all before us. Lisa found romance in Aruba.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Oh my god, that was when I was at the
donkey far in college. Oh.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
He keeps bringing up, like.
Speaker 9 (06:48):
Lisa had sex with a dutch Man thirty years.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
He still brings up the guy from the Netherlands.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
He was cute.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
He almost stayed. So how about this kid rock through
a tantrum this past Saturday night in Nashville, stormed off
the stage. And here's the deal. He came out as
a surprise for bon Jovie. Keyboard is Dave Brian's birthday,
and we've got the video right here.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Let's go there. Don't get too.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Fast, okay.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Yeah, he ended up walking out of the show. Because
we weren't clapping in the right.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I have an interesting Kid Rock story.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Oh you oh that he recently offered my uncle Mark
a lot of money to buy his bars.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Kid Rock wanted to buy the Mark had lunch.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
With them, and Mark Ark said they're not for sale.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
Wow, the Kid Rock didn't come back. There's a dead price.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
Was upset, No way. I wonder how he found what
made that happen? He just is he a fan of
the bar.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
He's a fan of QS. He's a fan of the
bars and like the whole vibe.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yeah. Wow, he walked out of the meeting.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Yeah, Uncle Marsh, I know it's going fine for you.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
I bet you. He threw a tantrum like he did
with those people.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
I think he does.
Speaker 9 (08:30):
You don't want me to buy your but you don't
want my money?
Speaker 4 (08:34):
All because he didn't get a clap. Everybody keep it
up for Bill, right, you don't see Bill?
Speaker 1 (08:42):
No, No, that was a special moment, Winnie, I get weird.
Fourth let's go okay.
Speaker 9 (08:47):
So the Dominoes in the UK has launched a Pepperoni
inspired perfume for Valentine's Day. It's called You de Passion
and here's the commercial.
Speaker 11 (09:00):
Pushion, the new scent from Dominoes true pussion in one
for this Valentine's Day to smell. Oh the Passion captures
the warmth of freshly baked though with a hint of pepperoni.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
And I'll tell you what it's not. Body head off.
Speaker 11 (09:21):
The Dominoes Passion dot com to be able a chance
of smelling like a legend, Oh the passion.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
He was on mon Dominoes. Yeah, I gotta be honest.
I had pepperoni pizza last night. I never crossed my
mind to rub the pepperoni on myself.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
The pepperoni is not the best stench to have in
your body.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I mean it tastes good, yeah, smelling like raw meat.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
I just don't.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
This thing is ever a good idea.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Not good, not good. So there are times in my
house where I cook pasta for my kids. So I
boil water, and I always use hot water. I turned
the sink to hot, and I boil the hot water,
not cold. Apparently, now that's bad. Oh oh yeah, you
can't do that. It actually is bad.
Speaker 12 (10:00):
When you use water to cook. You're not supposed to
use hot water from the tap. Hot water is more
likely to contain lead particles. The hot water tank is
made out of metals, and those metals can start to
corrode and break off, ending up with heavy metal in
your hot water. Not to mention that while the water
sits in your tank, it can start to stagnate and
grow bacteria and other microorganisms. The solution here is you
just have to cook with cold water from the tap
(10:22):
and let the stove or the oven.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
Do the heating for you.
Speaker 12 (10:24):
One more idea, you can use an electric kettle, starting
with cold water, heating it up and then pouring it
into your pot.
Speaker 9 (10:30):
You know what's funny is I always was taught by
my mom and dad to use cold water because it
boils faster, not because really of anything with lead. So
I've always used cold water to boil because theoil faster.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
And now I'm going to use cold water lead And
speaking of lead, before I know, we're running late here.
Did you see Matt Scherer from WBZ his new report
that just came out about the Tobin Bridge. Yeah, yeah,
there is lead coming off the bridge into people's homes.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Oh yeah, it's been going on for like a couple
of years now.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
He did a whole pro It's amazing because when you
drive by the Tobyn the people's porches are right there.
They loaded with claws and now they have the construction too. Anyway,
report them out on Instagram.
Speaker 9 (11:10):
The question I have that though, is your fault for
living there, because like those houses have been there for
however long.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
I know what may a lot of people live where
they can.
Speaker 5 (11:19):
Yeah right, no, I know that.
Speaker 9 (11:20):
I'm saying, if you bought it or whatever, you a donkey.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Hey, we're coming up on the entertainment. REMA just announced
their tour and Rema is bringing it here to Boston.
We've got the dates and the places and also Saturday
Night Lives fiftieth Anniversary special is this weekend. You won't
believe the size of the celebrity lineup. It's all coming
up next.
Speaker 5 (11:43):
Stand by, What's Up Boston?
Speaker 13 (11:45):
It's Sabrina Carpenter and you're waking up with Billy and
Lisa in the morning on Kiss one O eight.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
How cool is that Sabrina Carpenter waking up with the
Billy and Lisa morning Show. I'm just saying, that's cool.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
We love her.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yeah, yes, she's the best.
Speaker 9 (11:59):
It's of my nieces are eating five in there now
into music and They're like, you ever meant to.
Speaker 5 (12:04):
Brina Corpenter And I was like, yeah, I have. Actually
I show the picture of all. They're like, no way,
that's so cool, Like she's.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
So cool and she's a lot of fun. Yeah, cool lady.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
You know, my son was listening to last night, Fat
Juicy and Wet? Are you sar Mars?
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Oh my god? What is there a feat version?
Speaker 4 (12:25):
Apparently he can only listen to clean music.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Okay, how did he even find it?
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Well, he has, he has a music, but it's it's
edited for children, not for children, but you know, the
swears are taken out.
Speaker 5 (12:36):
I love to see kids Bob cover that one.
Speaker 14 (12:38):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:40):
Yeah. I walked by his room and I hear Fat
Juicy and Wet. I was like, okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (12:45):
Even the cleanest version of that song is not I guess.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
So so, Lisa, I've been on the horn since the
last segment here, checking in on the Chris Martin interview,
trying to do some follow up cold plays, coming to
Gielette mighty mckabe yep, yeah, I want to make that happen.
It's been I think fifteen years since you interviewed past
an incredibly relaxed interview. Yes, it was almost therapeutic. Therapeutic,
he said, so hopefully it we'll have some news to
report on that.
Speaker 14 (13:08):
He Lisa, this is Chris Martin in Coldplay. I've been
thinking about a lost interview for the past fifteen years.
I found it very therapeutic. In fact, it was the
most relaxing interview.
Speaker 12 (13:24):
I've ever.
Speaker 14 (13:28):
Last.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
The Entertainment Update with a Billy Godstead.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
Yeah, the fact that I get to sit next to
Lisa Dunhaman every day. Bruce, I don't need therapy, It's
all I need.
Speaker 9 (13:38):
But unfortunate, Lisa, you're not working hard enough with Bill Costa.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Now I gotta put in some overtime.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Okay, we're still talking about the Super Bowl Sunday night.
It had its largest audience ever one hundred and twenty
six million of US across all platforms, and that, yes,
is an all time record. In fact, Spotify streams for
Kendrick Lamars song Not Like Us jumped four hundred thirty percent.
That seems like a lot.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
That's a lot.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
WHOA no wonder they don't have to be paid for
the halftime show. Kendrick's overall catalog jumped one hundred and
seventy five percent, and then there were Sis who, by
the way, I thought she was fabulous just a halftime show.
She talks about how she prepared for that halftime show
with Kendrick, and she really loves Kendrick.
Speaker 15 (14:26):
He's just bestowed a lot of grace on me and
shared a lot of his grace well that he was
born with. I feel like he bestows it on everybody
and on everything he touches, and I'm just grateful.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
I don't know why.
Speaker 15 (14:43):
He's allowed me to, like, you know, get some shine
with him over these years, and I just feel like
he's just immaculate, Like he's a genius.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, there are certain people that come along that are
just extra special. He's one of them.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
And you know what, even if you did not like
the halftime show, you have to appreciate all the memes, yes, ye,
that are everywhere. Now My whole feet are Kender Klamar memes.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Patrick Maholmes took the sultry yesterday, apologizing to fans for
an awful performance.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
You have it right there, Liza, I do, he says,
appreciate all the love and support from Chiefs Kingdom. I
let y'all down today I'll always continue to work and
try and learn and be better for it. Want to
give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me.
We will be back, and I'm sure they will be Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
And then you have the Eagles who are the Super
Bowl champions, and the fans celebrated by trashing.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
The city, tearing light poles down, setting fires, breaking windows.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
What are they going to do for the parade on Friday?
Speaker 5 (15:47):
I never got that like these are? Sorry, See I had.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
You gotta be careful when you jump right in when
he you gotta be ready to go.
Speaker 13 (16:00):
What is it?
Speaker 5 (16:01):
An amn object?
Speaker 16 (16:02):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (16:02):
You got it?
Speaker 5 (16:03):
No, I really didn't.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
They rolled it, but you got it.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Anyway, the Super Bowl celebratory parade is definitely Friday. And
Jimmy Kimmel does a funny thing on his show. It's
a segment called Lie Witness News, and last night it
was a segment on the Brady Snoop thing we saw
during the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Check it out.
Speaker 8 (16:23):
What are your thoughts on the ad where Snoop Dogg
and Tom Brady were yelling that they hated each.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Other and then at the end realized they have more
in common and just sucked on each other's fingers for
about a minute. It was all right. It definitely got
their message out there, and I think that's what needed
to do. What was the message, I'm not exactly sure.
And it was such a big message.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Oh, I loved that commercial. It was to combat.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Hate, yeah, and anti Semitism. Yeah, really nice piece. So
the Saturday Night Live fiftieth anniversary special will air this
coming Sunday night. The lineup for the show was massive,
Adam dry Io at a very bad Money, Dave Chappelle,
Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Peyton Manning, Sabrina Carpenter,
Scarlett Johansson, and they're all going to be there Sunday
(17:13):
night in the studio, also a lot of past cast members.
It's going to be a three hour show eight o'clock
Sunday night on NBC and also Sunday Night the new
season of The White Lotus. Finally, how many years has
it been?
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Not as long as you think, maybe like two years? Yeah,
not as bad as Stranger.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Things or yeah. Euphoria, Euphoria, Oh did you say Euphoria.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Production is underway on Euphoria season three, and they're saying
it's going to be eight movie like episodes of Euphoria.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
I love how nobody wants this. Literally, we just watched
six months ago. They're filming it right now and we
will see it in September. That's the way it should be.
Speaker 13 (17:54):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
Kristen Bell, Yeah, yeah, no, you're right, Lisa, that is
it should be.
Speaker 9 (17:58):
I'll give it to them that I was the So
there's not as much as like Stranger Things with like
yeahs and all that, but still like Euphoria eight like
eight episodes. We'll get it in twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Yeah, probably think of it.
Speaker 4 (18:10):
I think twenty twenty six. I don't know what part
of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 9 (18:14):
And the last season was twenty twenty one, twenty twenty two.
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Yeah, well weird. Some shows come right back and others
take years.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Well, Euphoria had the writers strike right right, and then
a bunch of the stars were filming other things.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
Yeah that's true though, that's yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
So Ed Shearon did an impromptu street performance in India
this week. Officials jumped in and shut it down, those
sayings Sharon didn't have a permit. Here's some videos.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
This I get down.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
But we'll see like.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
See like. I love his accent.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
They literally jumped in and started pulling all the plugs,
shut it down, and he's saying he had the permit.
So there was a miscommunication there a little bit India.
Speaker 9 (18:57):
Justin real quick before we move on to twenty twenty two.
February was when Euphouria came out the second season.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
So it'll be four years if they do twenty twenty.
Speaker 5 (19:07):
Yeahts and't that crazy?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Wow, that's crazy? Hey, Rema kicking off a world tour.
He's going to bring it to MGM Music Hall right
here in Boston. May sixth, he had that massive song
Calm Down. Is that an all time record? Justin calmed
Down on the Kisstop thirty Countdowns. It's been on three years.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Harry Styles holds the record really for the longer calm
Down Watermelon Sugar.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah. Yeah, every week on the countdown, I'll say to
Justin it's still in the countdown.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
It's still on the countdown.
Speaker 4 (19:35):
Yes, it's on the countown.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Anyway, he had Calmed Down with Selena Gomez and she
may not come back to music.
Speaker 17 (19:44):
I'm ready to just focus on this for a while,
film and art making and being around such incredible talented
people that have done nothing but uplift me along the way.
I don't know, it's going to be very hard for
me to ever go back to music after this.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Well, the acting thing is really working out. Amelia Perez
and then only Murders.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
In the He was nominated for both of them.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Yeah, so why not stick with acting for a while.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
She seems happy.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yeah, she does seem happy.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Well, she's engaged to Benny Blanco. She's very happy. You
got Benny in your life.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Benny Blanco from The Bronx. Hey remember me, Benny Blanco
from the Bronx. Joey McIntyre from The New Kids launching
a solo album. This is going to be a lot
of fun. He dropped the first single this week. It's
called Freedom. The album is called Freedom. We have a clip.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
Good for Joey.
Speaker 9 (20:52):
I like how he says echo and then doesn't echo. Yeah,
that's cool.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
And he's coming into the Billiy and Lisa Studios Tuesday
morning and and then in the afternoon next Tuesday at
one o'clock, we're going to be at Newberry Comics where
he's going to sign CDs, autographs and meeting greets with
the block heads. Can I come absolutely Newberry Street, Honey,
let's go one o'clock Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
I just got out a little bit of a word
here that it is selling fast Oha to act if
this thing will.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
So they need to go to Kiss one to wait
to Instagram right now.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
There's a post there, but it's Newberrycomics dot com. But
you can go to the Kiss Instagram. That post has
all the information you buy the CD, and that includes
a meet and greet and a signed CD and Bill
will be there too one o'clock.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
You're going to come withes. I am one o'clock Newberry
Comics on Newberry Street. But you got to go to
the Kiss one Away Instagram or go to Newberrycomics dot
com because you got to sign up to meet and
great's going to be a cool event. I'm sure we'll
listen to some of the album while we're there. Meantime,
b you won the Beaan pot last night. They beat
BC's Seltz beat the heat in Miami last night, and
I have a now this. You know everybody's talking about
(21:55):
the price of eggs, the availability of eggs. Well, when
he gave me a story earlier this morning about the
egg shortage, you're ready for this. Several retailers, including Trader Joe's,
Costco and Sprouts, are now limiting how many eggs you
can buy in one day. You can get a dozen
per customer per day. At Trader Joe's Costco you can
(22:17):
get five dozen.
Speaker 5 (22:19):
That's a lot Costco difference. Go to their both place, though.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
I'm worry about restaurants. Where are they going to get
the eggs?
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Then yeah, they might have.
Speaker 9 (22:27):
To send like a server and like a chef in
like just keep rotating showing into Costco to keep getting eggs.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Anyway, We're brought to you by Wilson Farm. Love is
in the air. Wilson Farm in Lexington has everything you
need to celebrate, from beautiful bouquets of red and colored
roses to their freshly dipped chocolate covered strawberries ready to enjoy.
You gotta shop Wilson Farm this Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day
is Friday, by the way, it is. I think Wilson
Farmer is coming into the show this week.
Speaker 18 (22:53):
They are.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
That's always fun. Anyway, go online Wilsonfarm dot com and
there you go. Turns out India did not like Ed
sharing his music thanks folks on one here all week.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Billy Elisa Kiss.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
So again on the show, we cover a lot of topics.
We have a lot of content. In fact, we had
a lot this past hour. So what we've decided recently
right listin is we take a look back at the
previous hour for sake of to those who may have missed.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
It, right everything you missed.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Yeah, and the Billy and Lisa Show, of course has
heard right here on Kiss one to wait every single day,
also heard on the iHeartRadio app. And if you are listening,
we ask one favor and make us your number one preset.
That's one of the new features. You can add the
station to your preset. Yeah, make it number one. There
you go, Okay, there we go. It's going back to
(23:41):
this hour. We had Billy talking about the out outer
Banks and your love of John Boy. Well, good news
for you potentially. Bill.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
Hey, Billy, you know who's playing at the Garden on Thursday.
Speaker 7 (23:52):
Kelsey Beallerini thinking what does that have to do with me?
Speaker 5 (23:56):
Well, guess who she's dating? John ba Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
I forgot it's coming to Boston Stokes.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Yeah, they've been together like a year, right, a year
and a half. Yeah, one time.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Okay, who do we call? We got to get John
b In.
Speaker 9 (24:12):
Actually that's not that bad because country people are easy
to get a hold of, and so we should go
talk to our people like the bull horns.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Up, Horns up Boston. I'm sure he'd love to come on,
you know what I mean, A lot to talk about.
Speaker 4 (24:24):
Yeah, you're weird. Love for him in the show.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Well, he's probably gonna think it's a little weird looking
at me, knowing that I watch out her bank.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Yeah, it's okay, it's okay. But it's been a great hour,
a lot of great stuff, a lot of uh, you know,
impactful conversation.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
I never got that like these are and they haven't
an animate objects.
Speaker 4 (24:44):
There we go. Yeah, you know what you learn on
this show, I do, really do that's important.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
From the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios, we're back
with a Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
Hey, guys, welcome back at least it. What's the deal
in the weather. I know, I woke up it was
freezing out this morning.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
It's gonna be thirties, kind of cloudy. We're gonna get
some snow kind of tomorrow into Thursday.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, Yeah, we're in a pattern. Yeah, we're in a
pattern because then we're gonna get more snow and then
I guess Sunday, Saturday into Sunday, maybe another snow storm.
What's going on? Oh, let's go back to January.
Speaker 4 (25:22):
It's February. Is the storm this weekend going to be big?
Do we think?
Speaker 1 (25:25):
I think bigger than we've had. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (25:28):
I don't mind it when it's light and fluffy and
easy to move and right, you know, it sucks when
it's you know, ten or twelve inches of heavy snow,
right totally, because it's like I get my semi blower.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Oh, you get my blower.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
I have a backpack blower and you can just blow
it away.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
There you go, go, the light fluffy stuff. Okay, So
we announced this morning our old buddy Joey Mack from
The New Kids is launching a solo album. He actually
dropped the first single yesterday. It's called Freedom, and he's
coming home. He's coming to Boston next Tuesday to celebrate
the release. We're going to have a Min's studio Tuesday morning,
but at one o'clock next Tuesday afternoon, Joey's going to
(26:05):
be doing a meet and greet and a signing. I'm
guessing we're going to listen to some of the album
at Newberry Comics on Newberry Street. You need to go
to the Kiss one to wait Instagram right justin.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Yeah, there's a post up there where you has all
the details, but essentially just go to Newberrycomics dot com. Yeah,
and it's very easy to do the meet and greet.
You just buy the CD and this is.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
The limited space, so you got to move fast, blockheads.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
I get. I'm getting updates on on the on the
buys and they're moving rapidly. Also, if you want to
meet Joey McIntyre, you know us, we'll be there too.
You got to go Newberry Comics dot com, buy the
CD and you are in the house and.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
You'll be the first to hear some of the tracks
off the album. Yeah, and it's a homecoming for Joey mac.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Yeah. You and Joey go way back, way back.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
God, I was thinking earlier this morning, just how far
back we go? Back to the very first Kiss building. Ye,
the old studio and the first time I had the
new kids on one of the shows I was doing
over there. They were breakdancers like that over at Fanuel Hall,
they'd go breakdance and they were street performers, and all
(27:08):
of a sudden they just exploded. I went on tour
them overseas. I did the Upstate New York tour with them.
It was like traveling with the Beatles when the Beatles
were at their prime, maybe even crazier. Instid. You remember
how big they were. Oh that's right, good point.
Speaker 5 (27:25):
I heard they were bigger.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Oh they were bigger than anything. I think they were
bigger than any boy band ever.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
And we just found out this past week that they
were the first pop back to do the super Bowl halftime.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
That's a fun fact.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Donny posted it. Yeah, a bunch of listeners sent it
to me. Yeah, Donny posted they were they were the
first commercial pop band to do the super Bowl. And
guess what it didn't even air on TV. Oh wait,
what didn't even air on TV?
Speaker 3 (27:50):
And it was nineteen ninety ninety one one and that
was that was with Whitney Houston.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
Yep, yep, yeah, she did the national anthem. Yeah, Bill,
you were the first person to hear step by step
as you say, that.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Is a bizarro story. I was doing to shoot for
Evening magazine at the time over Channel four, and you know,
I had access to the kids, so they let me
in the studio with the cameras. Maurice Starr was their manager,
you'll remember. Uh. And so he led us into their
sound studio. Uh. And we're sitting at those giant boards,
(28:25):
you know, the soundboards, and he gave us the exclusive
world premiere. Uh. And he let me hit the start
button for the first time anyone was going to hear
the song step by step. I actually said to him,
is it okay if I hit the button? He said,
hit the button. The world is listening.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
All these years later.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Never heard that song.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
This is a hold on, hold on, we need to
shame him right now.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Oh is it the New Kids?
Speaker 4 (29:01):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (29:03):
He's melody guys.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Yeah, it's been a few ships. See.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
Had I known you were going to do that, I
never would have said, yeah, let's talk about Joey in
the next break.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Yeah. Well, Joey you know get that voice.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
You know, he was like twelve years old when you're
saying that.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
And it's funny when you see him do it live now.
I mean he brushes it, but he gets so into it.
He's on his knees so funny. The new song is
called Freedom. We played it a little clip earlier and
people seem to like it.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Hey, guys, you have to listen to Freedom by Joey McIntyre.
I just heard that little clip. It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
It's like if George Michael and Joe Jonas had a baby.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Oh, it's so good.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
Play the whole song.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Okay, you remember George Michael mentioned him, because that's what
I felt when I heard the clip from Freedom ninety,
which is like an anthem, so and it sounds similar.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
Yeah, well, here's the here's the George Michael, here's Joey
pretty good, wowty good, Joey McIntyre, buddy.
Speaker 6 (30:17):
So, I was just curious when Joey McIntyre calls to
Newbury Comics, is he going to bring a brother with him?
That Billy's gonna keep calling Joey.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
Oh, she's referring to you, calling Paula Mark Wahlberg. They're
all over you. Oh, for God's sake, God, anyway, gonna
be fun next Tuesday. But up next we have talked
back and leftovers.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Billy Lisa every morning.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Just want to wait, young money baby, That's what I'm
talking about is that my man?
Speaker 4 (30:46):
Drake at Lisa, how do we do?
Speaker 1 (30:50):
It's so weird that so much talk about the this
song by Kendrick Lamar and then all of a sudden,
Drake pops up.
Speaker 4 (30:58):
Yeah, well Drake, his music is much more commercial than
Ken Everything only Kendrick we played on Kiss bad Blood
was bad Blood, not like us. We play of course
all the stars, all the stars. Yeah, but Drake has
many hits that way, Yeah, more radio hits all about
young money. Okay, can you relax, please need to hear
from the people.
Speaker 19 (31:16):
Good morning, morning crew. This is Lisa Baker, your local
twenty five teamster from ups call on my way home.
Thank you very much for all the wonderful music and
the laughs this morning, laugh all morning along with you
guys and Kiss want to wait?
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Love is Love is? Just wanted to make a point here.
Speaker 19 (31:32):
No one can touch George Michael, his looks, his music,
his moves.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
He was legendary.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
I totally agree. Yes, I miss him as an artist.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Yeah, a lot of hits.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
I cried when he died on Christmas Day.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Oh he did? It was beautiful man.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
And isn't it weird?
Speaker 3 (31:49):
Like it's the number one holiday song? And he died
on Christmas Day.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Yeah, it's the wonder you cry.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
No, I'm serious, I agree with that talkbacker.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
Oh yeah, and by the way, so thank you for
the kind words. We asked that you make us number
one on your preset on the iHeart app. We just
we'd appreciate.
Speaker 18 (32:05):
That the Billy and Lisa Morning Show is not only
number one on my podcast. Number two is the after
show podcast with Winnie and Justin, and then the third.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
Is the Billy and Lisa podcast.
Speaker 16 (32:22):
I mean, you guys are just number ones in my
apps and you're number one in my heart.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Well you have to add Lisa's book club podcast. Yeah, yeah,
that's new, so you have to add that in yep
as well.
Speaker 16 (32:34):
But we appreciate that you guys are just number ones
in my apps and you're number one in my heart.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
Yeah. That's one of the new features on the iHeart
app which we really love, is the preset feature. It's
right on the home screen there you can add kiss
There's be your number one. That's that's all we ask
And a lot of people still buzzing about the halftime
show with Kendrick. A lot of people you know, loved it,
hated it, I just.
Speaker 13 (32:54):
Wanted to mention I knew Kendrick Lamar's name, but didn't
not music, and that's half time show yesterday. I watched
it dozens of times over and over, and I kept
reading things on Facebook and YouTube about the meaning of everything,
and I am obsessed.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
Yeah, well there you go, and then you have the
other side.
Speaker 10 (33:19):
Kendrick Lamar had the worst halftime show I've ever seen
in my life.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
He sounded like this right round right.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
No, no, no, no, no, that's not Kendrick. That's eminem right Bill.
Speaker 20 (33:33):
With every song the same with him, shut up, back up.
Speaker 4 (33:50):
The bank back.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
He sounds like a little Bill Ducks sing a damn song.
Speaker 4 (34:00):
Come, I'll get it right. That's not Kendrick, that's happening. Yeah,
come on, oh man, all right. One more segments ago
on this Tuesday, and that is the wrap up, which
happens every day at nine forty. So if you can't
tune in on the show, you tune in at ninety for
the wrap up. I'll tell you what you missed and
what you can hear on the podcast. So the wrap
up coming up the next.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
One, Kiss Kids one away.
Speaker 6 (34:20):
It's the morning wrap up on Billy and Lisa in
the morning.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
So The Bachelor is on right now, and we're following
this season because there's a local girl in there. Her
name is Juliana, she's from Newton. And so we have
our guy, Riley Donovan, that's Lisa's son. He's fourteen. He
watches the show every week. He critiques it, he wears
a roe, he has a good snack, and then we
have him on on Tuesdays to kind of give us
his review.
Speaker 15 (34:42):
There's a lot of issues in the show last night,
a lot of drama.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
You think it's a romance show and.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Then they like cut out the romance and they just
have the drama.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Noah, I gotta tell you Riley Duneham and there's a
spot for him at TMZ.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Yeah, he is so insightful for fourteen.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
I'm really curious to see what and Riley grows up.
What direction he's going to go and is he going
to be a golfer? Is he going to be a
strip club owner? Is he going to be on TMZ?
Speaker 2 (35:07):
He could be all of it?
Speaker 4 (35:08):
He could, right, he could. He's really good.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
One of the ladies tells Zoe her dress is too short.
Speaker 12 (35:13):
Now, that's a death to those girls, if you tell
her your dress is too short, you're done.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
You're just done.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
So that was a big perfuffle.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah, that was a kerfuffle.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
That's what I say every time Bill says something he's
not supposed to do.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
That was a big perfuffle.
Speaker 4 (35:31):
Also on the show this morning, we had doctor Ruth on.
She's the dermatologist to the stars. She took some questions,
but nowhere near all the questions that we that we
bought from talkbacks and calls. But one thing she did
say where you can kind of hear Billy go, oh
my god. About the showers.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
I would avoid hot showers. People love hot showers, especially
when they have inflamed skin, so drying and so bad.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Now, mind you, Bill well documented and takes three hot
showers a day and he has dry skin.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
Yep, very dry.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
Bail your response and wash.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
The hands a lot. I do everything I'm not supposed
to do. I know, like sitting here, I feel very dry.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
You know you don't look you don't at least does
he look dry?
Speaker 5 (36:12):
You don't.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Well a little bit she said to bathe in milk.
I know, wait so much, one of us is going
to try it.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
I'll do it.
Speaker 5 (36:21):
I'll bathe the milk.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
That's okay.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
It's a lot of milk though, right, Well fill a tub?
Speaker 17 (36:27):
Right?
Speaker 2 (36:28):
How many gallons of milk?
Speaker 9 (36:29):
But on those milk baskets they're mostly water, and then
you powdered milk milk?
Speaker 2 (36:34):
You're right, maybe powdered milk a cheaper option?
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Is you win? Who's going in the milk tub?
Speaker 5 (36:39):
I got a tub, I'll do it. I don't care.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
I have a tub.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
Yeah, why don't you both do it and compare your stories?
Speaker 3 (36:45):
Okay, ironically, the person who should be doing it is filled.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
I'm not try at.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
All, and then give us a review milk.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Who's a bad choice? Yeah, I get in a milk
filled tub, and I'm just going to change my whole
life debit.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
But a milk bath is like half water. Yeah, it's
not like you.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Not getting gallons and gallons of milk.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Spas do it?
Speaker 12 (37:09):
Like?
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Can I go to a spa from milk bath?
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Certain places I think offer something to that effect.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
Yes, okay, okay, Well, well we'll follow up on this
with your dry skin. One weird story that we did
not get to that I had that I wanted to
get to. So imagine you're a Chiefs fan, you go
to you watch the Super Bowl and they got smoked.
How upset you'd be? Now, what if you paid thousands
of dollars to go just to watch the Chiefs lose?
I'm talking thousand. How much did you pay for your
(37:36):
tickets today?
Speaker 5 (37:37):
Thirteen thousand dollars a ticket?
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Thirteen thousand for one.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
How many tickets if you buy?
Speaker 9 (37:41):
I bought two at thirteen and I bought another two
at six.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Four tickets?
Speaker 6 (37:44):
How much it costs twelve?
Speaker 11 (37:48):
Oh my, that's fifty grand, around eight thousand.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Per Yeah, to watch them get crushed by the Eagles.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
That's how sports go, That's how they how it goes.
You never know, there has to be a winner, has
to be a lose. You know, they just lost bad.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
And then the Eagles trash their city for winning.
Speaker 5 (38:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
I don't get the light pole thing.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
The they do it all the time.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
Lights it's Philly, Yeah, Yeah, it's Philly. Yeah. And if
you missed it earlier this hour, we announced Joey McIntyre
coming to Boston next week. He's going to be in
the studio on Tuesday and then he's going to Newberry
Comics with all of us and he's going to do
a live meet and greet signing all that stuff. Go
to Newberrycomics dot com or the Kiss Instagram has all
the details on the post and you can buy the
(38:33):
CD and that's your ticket in. You can meet Joey,
you can get your CD signed. It's pretty cool.
Speaker 21 (38:37):
Oh my gosh, you guys are talking new Kids on
the Block. I grew up in rural Vermont. They were
my first love. I had all of this stuff, including
a six foot tall cardboard cutout of them.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
I had the pillow case.
Speaker 21 (38:53):
I used to dream of going to Boston to meet them.
It was one of my first concerts. My friend's parents
brought us to Worcester, Massachusetts. Those are big days, man,
Simple time the Centrum.
Speaker 4 (39:05):
Yeah, yep, yeah. And they're still going the New Kids,
they're still touring, putting out new music. Yeah, Joey has
the new album Freedom. We played the clip of the
song as well.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Donny's a big TV star.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Yeah. My wife loves Jonathan's show. Oh yeah, yeah, in
my house all the time.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah, he really does Old Barnes really good shot.
Speaker 4 (39:28):
It's really good. And you know, Danny's at the.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
Gym okay he I think he's doing.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
Okay, No, he's doing good.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
But he's just he's he's doing his thing.
Speaker 4 (39:39):
So that's on Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
I've got breaking news. Yes you remember Lisa Dunovan's book
club with Mel Robbins. Yes, extra extra read all about it.
Big story in the Globe today.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Boston Globe.
Speaker 3 (39:52):
The article came out about the Mel Robbins phenomenon and
my book club was the jumping off point.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
And there's a picture of me with Mel.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
A Boston Globe.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
It's called the Mel Robins phenomenon and it was just
posted today forty four minutes ago.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
