Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the best Avillian Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
And here we go. Good morning, everybody, Welcome in. It
is a Saturday morning. Justin here with your top five
moments from this week on the Billy and Lisa Show.
We have a lot of fun every single day. It's
so hard to narrow down five moments, but I'll do
my best. Now. The Bachelor is on right now. The
new season is a local girl on it, Juliana. She's
from Newton. We're rooting for her. She's the hometown girl.

(00:27):
We have Riley Donovan, who's Lisa's son who watches the show.
He's fourteen, by the way, and he breaks it down
every single week on the show with his own segment
number five.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Riley, I understand from your mom there was a medical
emergency on the show last night.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Go uz, And you know there was a lot of
there was a lot of issues in the show last night,
a lot of drama. More like you think it's a
romance show and then they like cut out the romance
and they just have the drama there.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
That's actually a really interesting statement.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
You're right about. That's what's different about the regular seasons
than the Golden season.

Speaker 6 (01:04):
So what was the medical emergency.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
So it was very abrupt, so one of the women.
So she was actually supposed to go on a one
on one date with Grant, and all of a sudden,
the next morning she's pulled from the show.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Yeah, she wasn't there. Her name's Beverly or Tega.

Speaker 6 (01:23):
Was she contagious?

Speaker 4 (01:26):
No, who knows, But I don't think it was like
COVID or like a disease. She might have had like
something like more serious like she did.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
Actually she had like a breathing problem during the basketball
game from last week. And I guess, yeah, of reality, Steve,
that's what he's saying. So supposedly it's a medical issue,
and and she's not on the show anymore.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Wow, just like that gone. Yeah, imagine how hard she
worked to get there. I know what else happened, RAI.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
So there's a lot of crying last night, like I said,
with the drama. So we walk in and then one
of the one of the ladies tells Zoe her dress
is too short. Now that's a death sentence to to
those girls. If you tell her your dress is too short,
you're done. You're just done. So that was a big perfuffle,
and then everyone the next morning is the craziest car

(02:16):
It's just crying, not even the girl who's dressed it's
too short.

Speaker 7 (02:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
Did you just use the word cutfuffle?

Speaker 8 (02:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
I did.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
Okay, like in a sentence that was impressive. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
All the girls were crying, and you know, I'm just like, oh,
there's spray tans o. No no, no, no, no, no, it's
not going to be good because they're all crying and
they're all just like bawling their eyes out.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
What's everybody so upset about these.

Speaker 8 (02:45):
Dress short?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (02:46):
And Zoe is just kind of the villain, so they're
coming after Wow.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Well, I mean there's like there's two sides and there's
like the villain, and then the villain's kind of like
got some allies and there's the rest of the girls.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
So it's like you said, the romance is gone. It's
all drama, and yet it's a romantic show.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Oh and then Rose wanted to cause drama last night
because she told Carolina that when Grant and Carolina and
when Grant and Rose were dancing, he told Grant told
Rose that when Grant was dancing with Carolina, he was
thinking about her.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Oh oh, there's a twist that's messy.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Yeah, So do you have a new favorite this week?

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Well, you know, I'm still I actually was really impressed
with Latia last night. They went on a since Beverly left,
they went on a three person date, three women, and
then Grant and Latia got awarded like a like a
dinner after the date, so they got to go to
the dinner. They talked and it was great. So I

(03:54):
she caught my last night, Latia and she was good.
I'm continuing to pick her. I'm continuing to pick Julia.
She's steady, she's good.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
Now what did Juliana? She's the local one right now.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
She didn't really get a whole lot of time.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Last night, not getting too much time, but I think
that that's going to change. It reminds me of Gabby
in Zach season from Vermont. She didn't get any time,
but she wrote her way up to second place. I know,
I'm thinking of this like a game show, but it's
it's it's yeah. But then and then I think Zoe too,

(04:26):
because I think that they have a good connection regardless
of what the other women say, or I think about.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
How many were sent home last night, four there were three.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I thought it was including Beverly Beverly, so he sent
home three. He sent home Bailey, Ali, Joe and Chloe.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Yeah, and then Beverly Beverly.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
So how many are left?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Let's see. I think we have probably ten or eleven.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Left now, and your favorites are Latia, Juliana and Zoe.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Okay, that wraps it up for this week. Thanks Riley
medical emergency. I was thinking it was something more dramatically.
I know it is a dating.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Show, right, they found something out.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Well where you know what that would have been?

Speaker 8 (05:12):
That was a big.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And welcome back everybody. Top five moments from the Billy
and Lisa Show this week, I'm justin. Number four goes
to Beth Titell, who is a writer for the Boston Globe.
She wrote a whole piece on Mel Robbins and the
whole phenomenon, and also about Lisa's book club and the
Mel event at Big Night Live a few weeks ago.
It was a great article. That were a couple of
parts that we took issue with, but it was a

(05:35):
great interview and we're so happy that Mel Robbins is
getting some more shine in the spotlight. She's a motivator.
Number four.

Speaker 9 (05:42):
I am so glad you guys are having me on
to discuss this because Lisa's billy. As you were saying,
the evening that Lisa hosted was potentially the most insane
thing I've seen in decades as a reporter.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah, it was good. People were just so thrilled to
be there, and just Melo is their queen.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
And I have to say, Beth, you and I go
back way back. I mean like years and years and
years and years and years.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
So it was great to see you and it was
great to have you there.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
But but yeah, so we experienced this mel Robbin's phenomenon,
all of us together in a collective you know sort
of experience. And I have to say, as a team.
I'll speak for the team. I've never felt more uplifted
and more positive than after I when you know, when
I left that that night.

Speaker 6 (06:28):
That's what were your thoughts when you left that night?

Speaker 9 (06:32):
Well, first of all, I thought Lisa did an amazing
job as a host.

Speaker 10 (06:35):
That was great.

Speaker 9 (06:35):
You were such a fun conversational partner for her. The
thing I was struck by was the entry that mel
made onto the stage. Well two things. One is just
as you guys captured in some of the little excerpts
you had in the beginning of this segment, how people
felt about her like I had. I was walking around
beforehand with my notebook and asking people, you know, what

(06:58):
has Mel done for you? And I finally just heard
so many people were saying to me, she changed my
life in these different ways that soon I felt like
there was no part of life that had not been
changed by Lease by by Mel, and I was kind
of running out of room in my notebooks to even
write anything down. Relationships, jobs, friendships, relationships with themselves, you know,

(07:18):
the relatives, their muscle tone, you know. So that was
super interesting. It was I don't know if you guys
remember the evening, but I'm sure you do, but the
listeners might. I know it was fifteen degrees outside the
day that she came, yeah, and it.

Speaker 8 (07:29):
Was so cold.

Speaker 9 (07:29):
But in that room, so she I was mentioned what
it was like when she entered the room. I mean,
so first of all, du Alipa was pumping up up
the crowd over the sound system, not that any pumping
was needed, and she was in the back and she's
making her way to the States. She's blowing kisses to
the heavens, who's like a rock star but almost more
like a savior. And these middle aged moms where there
were screaming like teenagers, and everyone's clamoring for selfies and

(07:53):
hugs were flying, and her video team was capturing it
all for her. She's got twenty four million followers across
all her platforms, and I almost felt like, if your
lives weren't perfect at this glorious moment, it didn't really
matter because someone's crowd out shouted out, I love you, Mel,
And then when she took the stage, she's like, remember
her shirt was untopped.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
I know she's the best because she's real and she
shares real moments. She you know, she's made mistakes in
her life and everyone can connect to that, and that's
why everybody showed up. But the thing about Mel that
I find to be amazing is that she takes simple
concept like she she basically boils down concepts into something

(08:30):
that's easy to understand and then easy to implement in
your life the second you see it, whether it's on Instagram,
whether it's listening to the Mel Robins podcast, which by
the way.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Is number one in the world again, And that doesn't
that just doesn't happen.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
It's not easy to do that, so so I totally
get why so many people were there and just like,
all in, you.

Speaker 9 (08:53):
Know, that's such a good point. I mean, the point
it's interesting because her concepts, I mean, her critics say
that she's just repackaging other people's ideas, whether it's from
the stoics or the serenity prayer or advice your mom
gave you, like a lot of it is super simple.
And when I asked her about that, she just said,
let them, like, let them say that, and she's right

(09:14):
and so are you, and that she's very good at
boiling it down to something that you can actually use.
And I was struck watching her the day before, as
I had during recording one of her podcasts, that she's
very mindful of giving her people an instant tool that
they can use. And I think that to let them,
boiling it down, to let them is the perfect example

(09:36):
of that, because it's like almost feels physically good if
you're upset about something or something's happening at work, just
in your mind you're like, okay, fine, let them like
them not treat me how I want to be treated.
And then a really interesting part I think is the
second part of that let me. So she's not saying
just give up, like, let them do what they want.
It's yes, let them, let me not try to control them,
let them do this, but then let me see how

(09:58):
I can change my own situation for the better. Which
it's just for words, but it's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
Right, And she's not saying let it go. She's just saying,
give yourself the space and time to think about how
you want to react to something at work or something
at home.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
So it gives you that.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Piece and then you can say, then you can think
about what you really want.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
And Beth, I read the whole article, and I mean,
Oprah invited this woman said it was the best book
she's ever read.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Best books she's ever read, and.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Part of the article I thought you had a little
edge there, and part of the article.

Speaker 9 (10:33):
I wanted to reflect what her well actually would her
critics say. And also even some people who like her
are critical of her. So I'm glad that you brought
that up, you know, as I said, like some people
really do feel that she's just repackaging other stuff and
she's good at it, and like why are people taking
advice from her? She was eight hundred thousand dollars dead.
At times she couldn't get out of it.

Speaker 5 (10:52):
But here's the thing about that, that's what people relate to.
We're all in debt, so.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
It's kind of totally no. But it's like, but that's
who I want to hear from.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
I want to hear from someone who's made the mistakes,
made the same mistakes that I've made over and over again.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
And then and she's saying, but you can.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
You can make you can lift yourself out of it,
and here's how you can do it.

Speaker 9 (11:16):
I think that's so well put. And I spoke with
a woman who's an owner of a bookstore in town
to brook my Booksmith, a great store, and she said,
she said, I'm one of the people that lived my
life by her, but also I'm annoyed by her. And
she said, the part of me that gets rigged out
is the part that sees the marketing machine. Everything loops back.
She said to Mel, Mel, Mel, But.

Speaker 6 (11:37):
But that's okay, isn't it. That's okay.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (11:40):
She got hooked on her Instagram feed and then she
started listening to podcasts and she took her Mel Robins
Free two part training video and so less than a
year later, this woman now credits Mel Robbins with giving
her the tools to improve her health, regiment, her budget
for parenting, and her inner life. And she thought about
this message that Mel Robins includes in her email. Black
Since says in a podcast, she says, in case nobody

(12:03):
else tells you today, let me be the first to
say that I love you and I believe in you
and your ability to create a better life. No, she
is sending that to strangers, right, but this is what
the woman said to me. She did. That could sound
really gimmicky, but that kind of unconditional love, it can
empower you and and it kind of summarized the whole thing.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
And it does.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
And I love when Mel on her on her Instagram.
She always like blows a kiss to you at the
end of her message. And I have to tell you
that's that's what resonates with me the most. That's I
love that part of it because it's just, yeah, it's
it's really real and she really does care.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
And to see the look on everybody's faces that night,
I mean absolute joy. There was just joyful to just
be there and being the presence of Mel Robbins. I
thought it was an amazing experience to be there. But
that's great article. Thank you very much for joining us
this morning on the show.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
And we posted it on you know, on our social
and on the Kiss one to.

Speaker 6 (12:57):
Eight and Lisa, anyone can join the book club and
it's great again.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
But Lisa's book Club is free to join, so you
just go to Kiss oneway dot com, slash Lisa's book Club.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Get in on it.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
And also we stream our events too, so you can
just watch it at home too.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
All right, So the number five moment we had a
couple of minutes ago was about The Bachelor in the
new episode this week. In that episode, in the beginning,
the girls had a discussion about dreams, specifically weird dreams,
and that got us talking about our own dreams, good, bad,
and weird. Number three.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
Now, yeah, we're gonna talk about dreams.

Speaker 8 (13:36):
Now.

Speaker 6 (13:36):
This was barked. It was triggered at least by The Bachelor.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Yeah, so we were watching The Bachelor and they started
the show with a bunch of the girls talking about.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
The craziest dreams they had the night before.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
I slept like a baby. I had zero dreams.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
I dreamt that some guy was trying to rip my
teeth out.

Speaker 11 (13:54):
I had to dream of a baby penguin, like, oh and
print it on me, I know, And I had to
take care of it and people were trying to like
get rid of it because I wasn't allowed to have
a penguin, but it was like always jumping my arms
and I care for it.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I love this.

Speaker 11 (14:08):
I'm like, maybe I'm feeling nurtured.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
How specific a penguin though.

Speaker 11 (14:11):
Yeah, baby penguin And it was like dying in the
ocean and I like rescued it and that's why I
imprinted on me.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
She had sex with the penguin.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
She rescued it, and then someone else had their teeth
ripped out.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
So these are contestants on the Bachelor sharing dreams with
each other.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 5 (14:26):
So then we got thinking like craziest dreams because I know, Billy,
every time I walk into the morning, You're like, leasse,
I just had the craziest dream last night.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
So, growing up well into adulthood, I had horrific nightmares
all the time, and I was always being chased by gangs.
You know when you see those movies where somebody takes
the wrong exit off the highway, and then they end
up in the hood and they're chased by these gangs.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
Dennis Leary was in a really good one I saw recently.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Anyway, I had those all of my life and it's
just always being chased. But recently I've been having dreams
where I come in in the morning and tell Lisa, Well, Lisa,
we were shopping in Abu Dhabi last night. We're always shopping,
like somewhere else in the world.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Billie and I are always traveling together, always shopping and
always sitting at a cafe having a glass of white wine.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
Well, that sounds a good.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Dream travel pals, but always very extremely high end shopping,
you know, like like where you just sit in chairs
and they bring you a glass of wine or champagne
or Bubbly and they start bringing clothes out.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Such an omen Again, I don't know what this means.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
I think I'm having subconsciously a gay phase.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
I don't have a phase.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, I don't think it's a phase. Yeah, I mean
this is going.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
Hey, girl, well what about you? Is crazy dreams?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
You know what.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
I haven't had any recently, so I am just going
to pass on this, really haven't. I don't think I'm sleeping. Well,
I mean I honestly like, I think I'm just not
getting that. I'm not getting that deep sleep, Like I'm
very like surfacey sleep right now.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Yeah, So I hate when I can't remember the dream
the next morning.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Or when you wake up and you remember it and
then every second that goes by you forget. Yes, that's
what happens.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
Do you know.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
For a while, I would wake up in the middle
of the dream and I'd write notes down because I
wanted to remember the dream.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
That's what they say to do, Yeah, to write it
down as soon as you wake up.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
You must have some crazy one.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Well, the craziest dream I had is not really funny.
It's actually pretty crazy. I'll share it. I had a friend,
a really good friend that I lost contact with about
thirteen years prior, and I didn't know how to get
ahold of him. He had a young daughter that I
was also close with, and so it was always on
my mind. You know, where was he? I didn't know,
And I had a dream randomly a couple of years

(16:48):
ago of him and his daughter very vividly that we
were hanging out, and it made me think about him,
and so I said, I need to find his number.
So I looked at old cell phones. I had an
old iPhone. I charged it and I found a number
of his and I called him and he answered, and
we started talking, and he said, why are you calling?
And I said, why, had the dream whatever? And he
goes his daughter had been killed the night before in

(17:13):
an accident, a tragic accident, a boating accident. So how
crazy is that?

Speaker 6 (17:19):
And that morning you called.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yeah, No, I had the dream this same night that
she passed away, And so I was able to reconnect
with him over that song. Sometimes dreams are more serious,
and there's a serious meaning behind them.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
You know something else weird about my dreams. Let's say,
for instance, hypothetically, Lisa and I could be shopping in
Istanbul or something, right, just walking the street, shopping right.

Speaker 6 (17:40):
No matter where I am in the.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
World, somehow I'm still I'm not making this up. I'm
still living in my childhood triple decker. So let's say
Lisa and I went to the museum or you know,
I don't know anything, a big show in Paris or
New York City.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
When I go home, it's still my childhood floor.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
When you get in your little childhood yes, in bed, right,
this is.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
If there are any doctors or dreams specialists in our audience,
please call us.

Speaker 6 (18:14):
There's another important point here.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Growing up, I was very I never brought friends home
because I was very embarrassed by my house. Right, so
even if Lisa and I are in Paris or the
Greek Islands, I'll never let her come to my house.

Speaker 6 (18:29):
Okay, well you yeah, picture that.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
No one, we still.

Speaker 6 (18:32):
Don't go to your myriorca.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
You live in a beautiful two floor condo.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
I don't get it. Oh, good point. Well that's just
you that's not invited. See home we've all had.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I have once, briefly.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
I have never been to his home, only the boat.
The boat. You can go to Bill's house off limits.
I don't know what it is, but.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
Winning dreams.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
It's a bad one. Yeah, it's well documented on the
show Very Interesting life, which could be summed up as
a bad dream.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Yeah, living nightmare, funny when I wake up, that's.

Speaker 6 (19:09):
From a bad dream.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Sorry, all right, let's get to your number two moment
from this week on the Billy and Lisa Show. I'm
justin and yeah. Number two is all about Valentine's Day.
It was yesterday. I hope you had a great one
with your significant other. If you had to spend it alone,
that's okay too. You know what your day is coming soon,
I promise. Anyway, the topic worst the Valentine's Day gifts

(19:30):
of all time? We got some doozies on this.

Speaker 7 (19:32):
The worst Valentine's gift I evergot was finding out that
my boyfriend was cheating on me. He had sent me
flowers to my work, but it was addressed to the
wrong person.

Speaker 8 (19:47):
Oh, he had.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Addressed it to Skuyler, and when I sent him a
text asking about it, he had to then tell me
that he meant to send them to his other girlfriend.

Speaker 6 (19:59):
Oh, Skyler was the other girlfriend. Yes, did she work
in the same office.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
No, I think it was just a mistake.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
I love how you ask questions to the talkbackers they're
not on the phone.

Speaker 5 (20:10):
I was looking at Yah because what I'm gathering is
that that was his girlfriend's name.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Yeah, he screwed up.

Speaker 6 (20:17):
But you know what's funny, I actually always do talk
to It's.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Actually it's actually hard not to because it's a natural
thing to want more from the story. Yeah, you know,
like you might want to know more from this one.

Speaker 12 (20:28):
Hey, here's the worst gift. Ever, I was a preschool
teacher years ago and received a pair of underwear, lacy
underwear from one of the parents. So didn't the other
teachers in the classroom talk about bad?

Speaker 1 (20:43):
That's so awkward and weird.

Speaker 6 (20:45):
Yeah, I feel like really crazy.

Speaker 13 (20:51):
You know what we had to talk about. Since we're
talking about it, let's not forget two years ago. My head,
how justin he couldn't buy Lisa underwear all right Christmas?

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Yeah, you don't know why we have to keep bringing
that up because.

Speaker 6 (21:04):
What her underwear size was? No, he didn't he ask
me privately.

Speaker 5 (21:08):
Yeah, I know anything about that.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
It was when skimms came out and the line came out,
and I wanted to get Lisa skims, but you know
it was under.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
You And you cannot lessen the creepiness of this.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah, so the best the innocence. I was so excited
it was gonna be the gift of the year. And
I went to win. I go, hey, you think Lisa
is a small or an extra small? And she's like,
for what? And I pull up the link and she goes,
you're the creepiest person.

Speaker 6 (21:37):
You can't buy her that? Yeah, really was shocking.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I appreciate the thoughts. I really did.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
I wasn't trying to be a.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Creepy No, I know you weren't trying to be awful.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Underwear is as personal as it gets.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
How about this? The next year she got billion I skim.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Men's box like more like shorts?

Speaker 7 (22:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (22:01):
What was going to be the next question? Lisa? Is
it string? Yeah?

Speaker 7 (22:06):
Thong?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
It's just so creepy and you make sexual.

Speaker 13 (22:12):
Advance that Lisa, Lisa doesn't look at you out.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Come on, I don't make sex with the other day.
Can you get this under control? Please?

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Every Oh my.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
God, God, I can't joke. So now we can't joke.
It's twenty twenty five, okay, Lisa jokes. Hold on, hold
on all the Lisa clips. I'm deleting this. Hold on,
there's one right there. Hold on, listen, listen to the keyboard. Listen,
stop deleting, justin.

Speaker 5 (22:41):
I appreciate the lead, and I appreciate the fact that
you wanted to get me underwear.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
Yes, I appreciate that you wanted to get her on.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Remember those talk dirty mashes gone? And you have one
person to think that person right with you.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
He's emotional.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Tell him to relax.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
I love all you.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
You know that girl that called, the woman that called
and her husband is overseas.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
There's always phone sex.

Speaker 13 (23:05):
Well it's true, but yeah, face FaceTime, you can do anything.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
We have to go back to. We have to, Laurie.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
I'm not sure you want to join this conversation, but
you're certainly welcome to.

Speaker 6 (23:18):
What have you got for us?

Speaker 9 (23:21):
How do you guys even keep a straight face?

Speaker 6 (23:23):
We don't. How do we not quit justice? Like unplugging
the show?

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Now?

Speaker 6 (23:29):
Go ahead.

Speaker 10 (23:29):
I mean the girl that called and got the flowers
with the wrong name, I mean I was laughing.

Speaker 9 (23:34):
I felt bad, but it was kind of funny.

Speaker 6 (23:36):
Yeah, totally. So what have you got for us?

Speaker 7 (23:40):
So?

Speaker 9 (23:41):
I've called in a few times before.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
I don't know if you recognize my voice. You called
me a die one time, so I hung up.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
But that's okay.

Speaker 10 (23:48):
I had My dad did.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Passed away three years ago today, so we're celebrating.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
But I am keeping up his tradition of bringing my
mom red roses, which he still managed to do when
he was.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
In the nursing home.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
So we're going to celebrate him today.

Speaker 6 (24:04):
That's really switch that awesome.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
But it's like Lisa said, know what flowers they love,
and then it really.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Was really the thinking about the person and what they like.

Speaker 6 (24:14):
Yeah, and you have a beautiful voice, by the way. Okay,
let's go to jail. Jail. Good morning, welcome to the conversation.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
What have you go?

Speaker 10 (24:25):
So this year I decided to get my husband laser
hair mobile.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
Oh okay, he very getting my whole body laser.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
Yeah. Is he very hairy?

Speaker 10 (24:42):
He's not like, he's not super super hairy like my
brother in law has got like you feel like a
sweater on his back. But my husband is like, I
don't want to shave it all the time. So now
he's gonna be nice and smooth.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
I think that's stuffall.

Speaker 13 (24:57):
Yeah, that's great.

Speaker 6 (24:58):
So you got back here.

Speaker 9 (25:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (25:01):
So and like some I was talking about what last
time at dinner with my husband and my son, and
my son was like, well why a you? Knowing that
my husband was just like.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
I don't know, Oh is it for Like, well, well,
it's a gift for him and a gift for you.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Yeah, that's why I got it done. My back is lasered.
Shout out to nurse Fiona. She's doing my whole body.
But my back is for my wife. She doesn't have
to shave my back anymore.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
So you had tufts of hair on your back.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
I had back hair all over. Yeah, yeah, it's actually
it's not painful. It's super easy to get done. I
think that's a great gift.

Speaker 13 (25:38):
I think it's a good gift too.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yeah, I think it is.

Speaker 6 (25:40):
Where do you go for yours?

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Nurse Fiona? God bless her. You gotta deal with me
and my body hair like a dolphin.

Speaker 13 (25:48):
Hey, last minute gift cards go to nursingo dot com.

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Right now, there you go, morning guys.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
That's Valentine's Day gift I ever received, is the one
I never received, and it would be.

Speaker 12 (25:58):
Billy and his birthday too. With a bow wrapped around
his way.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
And without further ado, your number one moment from this
week and it is special to us, especially Billy. His
son Chris costa huge, huge announcement this week with none
other than Tom Brady. Tom Brady is part of our family.
Now come on, number one, Chris, you.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
There, I'm here, good morning, and yeah, congrats dad, this
is a big day for you. Yeah, you know what,
We had a fourth son to the family.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
It's all about me.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Let's go, Chris.

Speaker 6 (26:31):
No, Chris I gotta tell you.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
You know, we've been sitting on this for weeks and weeks,
and you know, you knew it was going to be happening.
I knew it was going to be happening. Somehow I
managed to keep my mouth shut for once, and I
didn't blow.

Speaker 8 (26:46):
They talk about proud Dad moments, Well, this is a
proud Sun moment because the Billy and Lisa in the
Morning team have had this under wraps longer than anybody
in the industry, and the fact that you kept your
mouth is a miracle. So I'm so proud of you.

Speaker 6 (27:02):
I think I'm gonna take that as a compliment.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Chris, So it is so the deal with Tom Brady,
Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
So what does this mean?

Speaker 3 (27:12):
I think, based on what you've told me, I think
you've got three retail locations right now. You've got a
card vault at TD Guard, and you've got one at Foxwood's,
and you have one at Patriot Place. Is this going
to mean they're going to be popping up all over
the country.

Speaker 8 (27:25):
Yeah. So Tom comes on board and the mission is
what it's always been, grow across the country, maybe internationally
as well, and plant card vaults in key markets. Outside
key arenas, ballparks, and stadiums in major shopping areas. So
our next location that's slated is American Dream next to

(27:47):
MetLife Stadium, which is the second largest mall in America,
next to Mall of America. And then we're gonna.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Be hold on you've already secured that space.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
Yeah, that space is under construction. You know this, this
deal has been in the works for quite some time,
and you know we finalized it a few weeks ago
and today's announcement day. So yeah, American Dream. We're now
planting and planning sites in California. We're looking in Dallas, Chicago, Miami,
really the entire country.

Speaker 6 (28:19):
The goal is over one hundred so.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
People, I'm sorry, did you say one hundred stores nationwide?

Speaker 8 (28:27):
That's the goal.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
So people could go to a Dallas Cowboys game in
Dallas and you will have a store there, a cardball store.

Speaker 8 (28:34):
You can go to Mavericks game, you can go to
a Sacramento King's game, you can go to a Cubs game.
You know that's the plan.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
Now.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
You know your brothers, Alex and Dylan, and I know
them well, they're my own children, and I know Hope,
so I know they're sitting there right now in their
condos or whatever, asking themselves what's in it for me?

Speaker 8 (29:00):
So as is always true, yes, correct, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
You know, and I know Chris that the two of
them are sitting home right now thinking, oh God, how
can I capitalize on Chris's deal with Tom Brady.

Speaker 13 (29:12):
Well, Chris, your dad did the same thing.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
So yeah, I mean, oh of course. Oh yeah, By
the way, what's in it for me?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Anyway?

Speaker 8 (29:20):
I have a question for the first question is when
is Tom coming on the show?

Speaker 6 (29:25):
Yes? So when is Tom coming?

Speaker 8 (29:27):
In?

Speaker 6 (29:28):
My fourth son?

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Let's ask.

Speaker 8 (29:35):
Is he can promise that the Billy and Lisa Show
will be the first broadcast that Tom is on in
the New England area.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Oh, I love you.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
There we go.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
I have a Chris question for you.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
Chris, So card Vault fans and all of these stores
all over the country, will will Tom Brady make appearances
at the card Vault stores?

Speaker 8 (29:55):
Yeah? So this this is not a Tom Brady spokesperson
type deal. Tom is an owner of the company and
he's heavily involved. That's been the coolest part of this
whole process, right. I mean, I grew up a massive
Tom Brady fan. I mean this was my entire childhood.
So that's been the most surreal moment where you know,

(30:15):
we're working with Tom and meeting with Tom and he
has opinions and thoughts and guidance. I mean, he's a
legitimate business.

Speaker 3 (30:22):
So this is not one of those celebrity deals where
they just put their name on it and then disappear.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
He's a part of that.

Speaker 8 (30:27):
Correct, correct. Yeah, so he's he's got input, thoughts, guidance, advice,
and he is one hundred percent involved. He's, you know,
one of our partners and an operator in this business.
And yeah, at least to answer your question, he'll absolutely
be it at our locations. You know, obviously his his
schedule has become a little hectic over the last few years,
but he's absolutely going to be showing face and participating

(30:50):
and making appearances and hanging out with our customers and
we're going to be able to offer amazing experiences and
access to Tom. It's it's going to be a wild ride.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
So now, when he posted that, it was a cool
video he posted with you when he signed the card
saying if broadcasting doesn't work out, there's always card vault.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
That was the deal, right.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
Yeah, Yeah, So We use that as almost a teaser.
It's very inside joke with our industry. The the card
he signed is a version of a card that that
made headlines last year when Tops put a randomly inserted
inscription into packs and it says, if if baseball doesn't

(31:31):
work out, there's always football, and that became almost a
million dollar chase. And that card still hasn't been pulled yet.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
So that's still card out there in a pack. But
the card he signed this week, is that worth anything?

Speaker 8 (31:43):
Well, sure, it's still a gold Tom Brady Bowman draft card,
but we used it as an opportunity to really create
something special, unique and valuable to our business. Yeah, you
know so, I would say it's it's much more about
building awareness about the partnership. But it'll absolutely be on display.
We're gonna we're going to the plant to display it

(32:03):
on each of our new locations for you know, a
month plus.

Speaker 6 (32:05):
So listen, as your business manager.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Now this isn't your father speaking as your business manager.
As part of the deal, I think you should find
the hardest to find Brady card and have him sign
it for your personal collection.

Speaker 8 (32:19):
Yeah, yeah, of course that's not going to that's really
the only reason I've done this whole thing is to
just juice up my own personal collection.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
Hey, can I ask you? Are we going to do
holidays with Tom Brady now the family?

Speaker 8 (32:29):
Tom will be there Thanksgiving, he'll be there your Birthday.

Speaker 6 (32:33):
Oh, you got to let us know in advance. He's
got a tough time.

Speaker 8 (32:37):
Cousin Boddy's house. Yeah, we've been negotiating Easter a cousin
Buddy's house. We're working on the whole Pentecost.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
Well, you got to tell them we have a world
famous Easter egg hunt.

Speaker 6 (32:46):
The cost of family, So I'm sure Brady's going to
want to be in on that. Chris, for everything, I could.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Not be more proud of you right now. I am
just so proud of you and so happy for you.
And you work this thing hard, and you work round
the clock. You work harder than anybody else I know.
Congratulations and I love you.

Speaker 7 (33:06):
Hey you guys, book club Daisy, Look at Cris being
more famous than his dad.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
Way to go, Buddy,
