Karen Read's latest attempt to get her case dismissed accuses
prosecution of extraordinary government misconduct, including the suppression of evidence,

failure to preserve evidence, witness interference, and jury interference. Reads
attorneys when all charges dismissed in this latest filing.

The request they're making that all these charges be dismissed
or they have an additional evidentiary hearing, I think is
unlikely to be successful at this stage, but she will
consider that.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
The trial is set to begin in April. The state's
Inspector General is asking the Mayor of Everett to return
one hundred and eighty thousand dollars, alleging Mayor Carlo Demio
and the city council agreed to so called longevity payments,
but misspayments had him received two hundred and twenty thousand
instead of forty thousand.

I think the bonus for public official is unusual. Nonetheless,
if they do happen for one reason or another, I've
never seen one that is as large as this, and
for as long as this.

The cause of death of those three Revere women who
were found dead in a hotel room in Belize has
been released. The three women had a build up of
fluid in their lungs and died from acute pulmonary edema.
No new big revelations were found yesterday after Attorney General
Pam Bondi released some of those Jeffrey Epstein documents with

most of the information including flight logs from Epstein's private plane,
which have already been available. Officials are trying to find
out what cause the death of actor Gene Hackman and
his wife and dog.

This is an investigation, so we're keeping everything on the table,
you know. I think the autopsy is going to tell
us a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Official toxicology reports and carbon monoxide reports have been requested.
Bruins suffered their fifth straight loss, falling to the Islanders
to one. They play the Penguins at three tomorrow. Celtics
are at home tonight against the Calves at seven point
thirty and Travis Kelcey confirms he will not be retiring.
He will be coming back next season to the chiefs
