privacy kind of thing. But it's super great for me

just get one of my kids and they're like, yeah, Momy,
you left you in the bathroom, or oh yeah it's
in your car, you left you at work. So for
me it's great. The other things, they travel quite a bit,
and my son's in the military, so between all of them,

see where they are or talk. I just make sure

I in my early sixties. I worked about ten to
fourteen hours a day, and I have kids that are
in their late twenties early thirties. So I'm not a
big fan of chairing your location. I think it's a
privacy kind of thing. But it's super great for me
because I lose my phone all the time. So I
(35:29):
just get one of my kids and they're like, yeah, Momy,
you left you in the bathroom, or oh yeah it's
in your car, you left you at work. So for
me it's great. The other things, they travel quite a bit,
and my son's in the military, so between all of them,
just knowing that they're safe is just a good thing.
I don't I don't follow them, or I don't like
see where they are or talk. I just make sure
(35:51):
they're safe is a big deal for me.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
See, there's a benefit that I wasn't aware of, Like
if I lose my phone, somebody who has my location,
tell me where it is.
Speaker 9 (36:01):
Linda sounds like my mom, my mom, all her kids
are grown, right, we all live on our own. All
that and my mom's like, I don't really look at it,
but tell me why. The only time she seems to
see where I am is worth somewhere I probably shouldn't be,
you know what I mean. I am, like, I'm a
grown woman, I live alone.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Whatever. Recently she saw I was somewhere, she goes, why.
Speaker 8 (36:21):
Were you there?
Speaker 9 (36:22):
And I was like, uh, she wouldn't want me to
be well, well, I can't tell you where I was obviously.

So is it a safety thing she's worried about.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Well, we're safety.

It was more like I saw where you were. I know,
you know, and I don't.
Speaker 9 (36:37):
Know why you were there, and I it's not my business,
but you shouldn't be there.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
And I was like, I think this.
Speaker 2 (36:42):
Is like such a privacy thing.
Speaker 5 (36:43):
You don't know, like as far as like if you
have young kids like I do, teenagers, I want to
know where they are and I have a right to
know where they are, right they're driving around their teenagers.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Right, But you're a grown woman.
Speaker 9 (36:53):
Yes, And so she wasn't like recommanding me, but she
was more like a friend like all right, girl, like really.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Okay, justin you want to know where she was sitting
outside some guy's window.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
She had a half featen sandwich on the dashboard. You
had a cold cup of coffee.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
So she's worried about you.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
It's just funny because I'm like, she's like, you know,
I never check. It just happened to.
Speaker 6 (37:13):
See and she knew whoever it was.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Yeah, when he was in the danger, Yeah.

I thought you broke up with him? What are you
going over there? Right?
Speaker 2 (37:22):
I don't know back.

It's just funny to me that, like, again, I'm a
grown woman, and she's like, but I actually like having
my mom's location because again I'm like, oh, where's mom
right now? Like I got like I want to drop
by the house. Oh, she's out, So I'm not going
to go. Like, it's just more convenient let's know where
her kids are.

Regarding the phone tracking and locations, this just triggered a
memory for me from the nineteen eighties. I think when
at ten o'clock there would be a public service announcement
that would come on and it would say, parents, do.

You know where your children are?

Yeah?
Speaker 11 (37:53):
Man, that was a different time.

Is she working in a hospital or a hostile sounded
like hostile? That would have been cool.

So that's why she couldn't text the guy back all
the time again Stage five Clinger Right.

I went on a date once and this just triggered
a memory, and you know, I ended up sleeping over
her house on the first date. And when I woke
up the next morning, she was like, breakfast. You want
to have breakfast?
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (39:15):
I said okay. So then she walked me downstairs and
her mom and dadd had cooked breakfast for us. So
there was some hit the breakfast table, eating eggs well,
their mom asking me all kinds of questions. I mean,
I knew this girl for like thirteen.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Hours, but her dad didn't call you aside, okay, what's going.
Speaker 6 (39:30):
On here now? I think he was just happy that
she found someone.
Speaker 8 (39:33):
Wow.

I have a story when I was dating, Like this
was years and years and years ago. I was dating
a guy and I had gone home and I told
him that I was going home, but he didn't believe me.
So he found like aunts and uncles who had the
same last name, and he started calling all of my
relatives looking for me to find out where I was.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Oh my god, my aunt.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Was like, you're weird, like stop calling our house. That Yeah,
it was really, that was really. It's crazy, so crazy.
Speaker 15 (40:02):
So I have a very toxic relationship with location services
with someone in my life, but it's definitely not my husband.
I have a sixteen year old daughter who will grab
my phone when I'm not looking and turn my location
services on so that she can see my every move.
But when she's not with me, and you got to
believe she gives me gills every time I go to
Starbucks or Target without her.

So I went on a first date and we're sitting there,
not even done with the advertising yet, and he picks
up his phone and he's like, oh, I have something
to show you. And I was thinking, I'm like, oh,
like you know, thinking like kids or pets or something,
and he literally turned his phone and he had changed
his Facebook status in a relationship. Oh and then he

looked at me and then like reference to like like
look down at my phone, like you know, your turn
kind of thing. And I was, Oh, I'm like too
kook kachuw, Like that's not happening.
Speaker 3 (41:32):
Oh that's lingiest thing I've ever heard.
Speaker 10 (41:36):
Oh oh my god.
Speaker 13 (41:37):
I was horrified. And I said, I'm like I go.
I'm like, oh, I'm like, you're so funny. I'm like,
I was so nervous. I didn't know. I was like,
didn't know what to.

I mean, we're half an hour into our first date.
So I just said, you know, I'm like, I'm like,
oh my gosh, you have such a great, stefty humor.

This is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. I have
