Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now best morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on Kids one. Await, okay,
good morning, everybody. Welcome in. It's to Billy and Lisa
Morning show. First and foremost. We got a lot of
rain yesterday. Lise, what's the deal on today?
Speaker 2 (00:18):
I don't know. Just cloudy and fifty.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
It's not going to rain.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Okay, cloudy and fifty. Now we have something a little
unusual going on in house, Yes, we do. First and foremost,
spoiler alert if you're just waking up and you haven't
seen the finale of The Bachelor, we are about to
talk about it in three two one. Okay. So, Juliana
(00:43):
from Newton, Massachusetts was chosen and proposed to by Grant
last night on ABC.
Speaker 4 (00:49):
Yes, she was our hometown girl. Is now engaged and
we couldn't be happier for her.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Here's our in house situation. Grant and Julian are are
right now and have been at an after party somewhere
in Los Angeles. You're following along so far, and our
own buddy Mikey V who does the afternoons with the
v Bros. And Gianna, is at the all night party
(01:18):
in Los Angeles. Now, we just made contact a couple
of minutes ago with Mikey V. And they're all in
an undisclosed place in Los Angeles.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
It was it was a pre screening. You're going to
have him on the show, so we thought we'd call
him and do kind of a pre.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
Screen Well, we didn't really get what we needed from them.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Well, he's not very coherent.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
He's he's hammered beyond belief with everybody from the show admittedly.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
So what I didn't pick up was is Juliana there
as well? Yeah, of course.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah, they were all celebrating.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
They're at a party and then they're going they're on
their way to Grant's house. Yeah, party more or sleep.
Speaker 6 (01:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
I could hear Grant in the background vaguely, but.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
They were posting pictures.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
It's on Instagram, on kis Winawait's Instagram and Mikey V's Instagram.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah. Now, I saw on the ABC this morning, Lisa,
you were sitting right in the office when we saw
on ABC News this morning that Grant and Juliana were
going to be on Good Morning America. I don't think
they'll be ready.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Well, that's why we didn't know what was going on,
because when we asked him, is that happening, he really
didn't answer the question.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
He didn't know, he didn't know where he was going
to be, and they're on in two hours.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
And he didn't seem to know anything about being on
Good Morning America Now, So.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
They just got engaged partying it up.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, and by the way, congratulations to Juliana's family. They
were a part of the show from start to finish.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
It was so exciting.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Yes, the Italian family in Newton. And so we may
may have mikey v on what time are we talking about?
Speaker 5 (02:56):
Eight ten? But the question is do we have him
on our not?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
I know, I think we definitely.
Speaker 7 (03:03):
I think.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
He's he's a fly on the wall.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
I mean, he's in because he's drunk. He'll tell us
the real, real exactly.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Not only that, since Grant is with him, he'll most
likely put Grant on the phone and he could be
in coherent, which should be radio gold is what we
call it in the business. Okay, So I love it.
Oh yeah, this is huge. This you know what, This
is what's happening on this show this morning. This is
actually bigger than The Bachelor because he really is. Yeah,
(03:36):
this is as behind the scenes as you can get.
This is real. Okay, this is going to be an
unscripted moment with Mikey and Grant from the after party
in Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
This is what Good Morning America will not have this morning.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
But it's what GMA should have this morning. It's because
that's riveting television.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
I can't is what it is. So we'll have Riley
on it.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Second, the opening act to all this is Riley Dunovan,
who's sitting in South Carolina right now. Who called it?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
I mean, you didn't give the fourteen year old is due.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, he called it from the beginning. He said it'll
be either Juliana or or Lytia Letia and that was
a weird scene where they were both standing there expected
to be proposed to.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, it was up to the last second his decision.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
But okay, So we're going to be talking about the
Bachelor a lot on the show this morning. But also
last night, the Celtics won again, so now they've got
a six game winning streak and that's good. The bad news, though,
is that Jason Tatum left the game with an ankle injury,
and by the way, it's the same ankle and the
same ankle injury that he had recently. So they're only
(04:45):
three weeks in the playoffs.
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Not good.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
That's a little concerning.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I couldn't believe that he was rolling around in such pain.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
But then he hopped up and then hit the free
throw and none left the game.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
That's that's a pro, right there. Yeah, that's a pro.
That's a player. One more thing, justin at the gym
pretty much every day. What was yesterday's workout?
Speaker 5 (05:02):
Legs?
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Legs?
Speaker 5 (05:04):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (05:04):
Did then? Did that involve a lot of squats?
Speaker 5 (05:07):
I did some squats?
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Okay, yep, Because every morning at least a rather Winnie
brings me stories you may not have seen before. It's
from in Winnie's world. These stories come a guy, I
don't know how many how many did you do yesterday?
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Squats? I think I did probably eight sets total, two
different squat movements.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Okay, all right, okay, so this guy did two thousand squats.
He won the bet, but now he's suffering from kidney failure.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Well they body weight squats or with weight.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Well, this is the thing. Billy doesn't read the app.
Speaker 8 (05:41):
I give him the headline and has no idea the details,
so don't ask him.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Okay, now I'm diving in.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
Okay, well, I'm curious. This is my this is what
I'm into.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Isn't it cute? How Winnie gets really defensive about her weird.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
Reports that she goes, you should be happy you're reading it.
Speaker 9 (05:55):
I know.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Up.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Okay, goes without saying, but some bet so are worth taking.
A young guy this was in Russia, hospitalized after performing
two thousand squads just to win a bet with a friend.
Following the challenge, he experienced severe leg pain, swelling and
dark This is critical for you. Okay, I'm gonna start again.
(06:18):
After the challenge, he experienced severe leg pain, swelling and
dark brown urine. How's your urine this morning? Now? Now
as we speak, he is totally unable to urinate. Okay, god, yeah,
(06:40):
what are you laughing? Because this story is so much
better than I thought. I don't want it to stop either,
because it's worse.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
What's worse?
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Oh? I think it's painful to get all backed up?
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (06:56):
Yeah, Well I hope he's going to be all right.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
I hope you're going to be all right.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
I never did two thousand squats.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
I gotta tell you. I love you like a brother,
like a son. Okay, But if I got a call
one day and you were in a hospital saying, listen,
I'm having trouble peeing. I did my squats today. Today
was squat dead and suddenly I can't be I'm just saying, Justin,
I'm gonna have to laugh.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
I know you'll laugh.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Okay, all right.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
If I ever go out in some tragic way, God forbid,
I would want you to give my eulogy because you
would not be able to get through even five minutes.
And that's just who you are.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Anyway, We'll keep an eye on Justin's urine. We're gonna
hear from Riley Dunovan run after seven o'clock, we think,
unless he passes out beforehand. We think we're gonna have
Mikey V from The Bachelor Posh party out of Los
Angeles this morning. But Riley Dunoman is up right after
seven o'clock and entertainment is up next. There's a new song,
(07:54):
how about this one? Kasha and t Paine. We've got
that story next by There's No Better Way.
Speaker 10 (07:59):
To from the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away Studios. We're
back with Villy and Lisa in the Morning I Kiss.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Now the entertainment update with the Villy costap okay, if
you're just waking up. Juliana from Newton was chosen last
night on The Bachelor finale. She got the final rose
and the proposal from Graham.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Can I just want you to know that I love you? Hey,
you and nick me the luckiest girl in the world.
Speaker 9 (08:28):
If I could send the rest of my life with you,
because that's what I want so badly.
Speaker 11 (08:32):
And when you're going through the toughest times in your life,
I want you to know that you don't have to
go through it and all then I'll be there for
you as your man, as your friend, as your partner.
Will you marry me?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Yep? There it was. Now. It was a little weird,
least because both women came in limousines expected to be proposed.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
To exactly up to the last second.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
And from what I've read that Grant still didn't know
day of who he was going to actually ask to
marry him. He kind of strung them both along and
Letilla was upset about it.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Yeah. In fact, here she is right here.
Speaker 9 (09:23):
You were scared that if you didn't tell me how
you felt, that I was going to leave and.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
You couldn't stand to lose me. So every week you
continued to raise the.
Speaker 9 (09:33):
Stakes and you went out of bounds. In Madrid, you
gave me a journal, telling me to write all my
thoughts and feelings so we could read through it together.
At the end, you told me I was your number
one connection, that from the first group day you knew
I was your wife. Okay, those aren't things that you
(09:58):
say when you're conflicted.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Go off, queen, respect now, she she was like blindsided.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
So let me ask. I've got two women in the
room with me right now, Lisa. If this was you
and you knew that he had said all of that
to her, what would your thoughts be?
Speaker 4 (10:15):
You mean if I was Letiya, Yeah, the same thing.
I'd be like, why why am I? Why am I here?
Why did you lie to me? This entire process wind
sided me?
Speaker 3 (10:24):
And Winnie, I'm guessing you just take the guy out.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Well first, no, this is my thing.
Speaker 8 (10:28):
If I and if I'm Juliana like listening to what
he said to somebody else, this whole process, like I understand,
oh he picked me, but like did he really love her?
And I just like fit his little mold better? I
feel like, it's really hard to like think that it's
a true love when he had multi relationships up until the.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Very last second.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Do you think it was because she's a Mormon. I
think it came down I just sewed that.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
I thought that was a problem from the beginning.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Yeah, and that was the one thing that he probably
couldn't move past. Yeah, but didn't don't want to offend
her and her family and their you know, their lifestyle,
you know, their religious beliefs and all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Well, you know who called it from the beginning. That
would be your son, Riley Dunnovan, who's going to be
calling into us at seven to ten this morning. He
had Juliana in right from the get go and Matia.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Yeah, he had them as his top two.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
He did.
Speaker 5 (11:20):
He knows what's up, he does. And then at eight
ten we'll get Mikey V who is with Juliana Grant.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Yeah, that's the story behind the story this morning.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, they're they're they're wasted talking and you know what.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
They should be in La Good morning.
Speaker 12 (11:34):
It's the May of the South, and and I am sober.
I'm looking forward to the mi TV interview with Grant,
But I doubt it because ABC is plugging the hell
out of his fear. It's such good Morning America. So
he's not going to go on. It's the Bachelor, It's ABC,
and it's millions of dollars that it'd be fun to
(11:55):
listen and see if he comes out. I can't wait.
Speaker 8 (11:58):
He won't because they're so like tied to their promo
people like ABC.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
I don't think he knows he's supposed to be, I know,
but I don't think he can come on.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
No, no, like contractually, yeah he can't.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
Oh well, all I know is our own Mikey is
in a room in Los Angeles with Grant the Bachelor.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
You guys spoke him off there, but we did.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, we heard Grant in the background, and I don't know.
I mean, maybe he's buzzed enough and might say, hey,
you want to come on the radio. Oh yeah absolutely, But.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
At the time we have him here, Grant will be
on all Yeah.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
He just texted me, Mikey. They're laying down to take
a little nap. He's setting his alarm for eight ten
for us. Okay, you wake up.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Okay, this is this is riveting radio. Yeah, there's no
telling what Mikey is going to say what he's going
to do. And if he does bring Grant on the phone,
is that a violation of some sort of contract.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
I mean, we can just know if he does, that's
not on us.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
If he on us, can you imagine if ABC doesn't
get the first interview but we didn't.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Oh my god?
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Yeah, Okaylly last night, tell me why.
Speaker 13 (13:07):
It's eight thirty nine PM and I'm watching The Bachelor
and I see Gary.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
And the first person that I think of is Billy Gosso.
Tell me why.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Well, because Gary has the hitch. I can't believe they
had Gary on. Gary was such a flame out for
that show and turned everybody off.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
He ruined the franchise. He was a complete.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Fraud, ruined it and then they put him on the couch.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Joan was in.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
The audience with Chalk. They're still together. Why didn't they
put them on the couch?
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah, yeah, I don't.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Well, you know what, when when Grant comes on this morning,
maybe he can explain Gary's appearance on the show. I
don't know, it's the Bachelor. What do you expcising? Anyway,
So we have Riley at seven ten, and we'll have
Mikey V from the after party at a ten this
morning in Los Angeles. The other hot show now The
White Low, just has a new episode coming up Sunday night.
(14:02):
On the most recent episode, a scene involving sibling sex
got viewers buzzing. So you've got Patrick Schwarzenegger, who's one
brother and his younger brother is played by Sam Nivola.
He and his sister were on a show talking about
this weird scene.
Speaker 14 (14:19):
Lachlin is a really insecure character and he, you know,
he just wants to do whatever you can to get
in anyone's good books. He's a people pleaser, and you know,
for for Saxon, I feel like he's just like, I
want to just go along with whatever you're doing.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Like he's Sexon's the sex guy, you know what I mean.
He likes sex, so like he's always talking. He's always
talking about sex.
Speaker 14 (14:42):
All he's talking about you gotta get lad, you got
to get late. And he's like, well, that'd be a
great thing for us to do together. But I think
it it really comes from a sort of primal place
of insecurity and.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Sort of twistedness.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yeah, it's quite shocking they actually showed it.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
I haven't seen him imagining it.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
Tonight, so I, well, now you know what's looking I'm not.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
That last episode?
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Yeah, can I can I just read you guys something
that we didn't have sound? So he spoke to Variety
the same kid. He goes, it was very weird kissing
Patrick because he's a really good friend of mine, and
you know, I'm straight. I'm straight. It's it's always been weird.
Patrick was already like a brother to me. I just
I felt sort of.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Can I say, yeah, it was more than kissing. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
He said it was messed up for him because because
he and Patrick are so close.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Yeah, personally, you know what's weird? I watched last night's
episode thinking it was the finale. So when it ended,
I'm like, what happened? There's two more episodes? Oh God? Meantime,
actress at Parker Posi, who plays at Victoria Ratliffe The
Siblings Mom says her accent is going viral on social media.
(15:53):
Words like these that she said.
Speaker 15 (15:54):
Soon mem No, Hyper's funny.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Yeah, it's a great show, great cast.
Speaker 16 (16:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
So Kesha's new song with t Paine comes out this Friday.
It's called Yippie Kaye. And speaking of Kesha, Benny Blanco
created a lot of Kesha's songs, and he's breaking down
the process. Ksha's we Are Who We Are?
Speaker 5 (16:20):
That song is great.
Speaker 17 (16:21):
We made the song and they were like, we need
to put that song out. Then we have like one
day to finish the song. Oh, I go back and
I finished the song. So if you realize, let me
see if I have it. So if you notice, we
had so little time that we didn't have time to
record her on a bridge. So I had thirty minutes
to finish the song. So if you listen to the
second verse of this song, Okay, didn't have time to
(16:45):
finish the song.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
So the bridge is literally just DJ turn it up
a million times in a row.
Speaker 6 (16:51):
Listen, but you never noticed see that thirty minutes less,
I had no time. You had to turn the thing in.
I was like, what can we put there? We have
no more vocals from her, And then I was like,
DJ turn it up and it just worked and people
loved it. And people have no idea people because it's anything.
(17:13):
I guess you pumped up. Yeah, is that crazy?
Speaker 3 (17:15):
That is insane.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
It's just so good. I love him.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
Yeah, taking you behind the music. But the only least
the Morning show meantime, Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are
the it couple lately. I mean, he's all about Selena.
Speaker 17 (17:27):
She's like the easiest person in the world. But I know, yeah,
she wants to talk to me before she goes to bed.
She wants me to say I love you. She wants
me to text her if I wind up having to
stay somewhere two hours late. Just as simple, take out
your phone and done. We're very driven and you have
to find a way to make it work that's comfortable.
You have to talk to your partner. You have to
(17:48):
understand them. I think people's biggest problems, especially men, are
that we don't listen all the time. You got to listen.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Just shut up and listen.
Speaker 17 (17:57):
Listen to what they're saying.
Speaker 16 (17:58):
There.
Speaker 17 (17:59):
A woman is going to tell you exactly what she needs.
Like when guys are like, I don't know what you want,
so I don't know what she told you already, You're
just an idiot. You're not listening.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Just listen.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
A girl is.
Speaker 17 (18:09):
If a girl is getting frustrated with you on something,
she's definitely told you multiple times and you're just not
paying attention. So it's like, just listen and don't be reactionary,
proactively do these things. I don't know if you do
the same thing, but when when you're away from your partner,
you just try to think of little things that's gonna
make them feel more comfortable better.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Oh my god, I love him.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Ye know, I got to get better that.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
I think you're pretty good at it. Yeah, he knows.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
I don't want to listen, but I keep saying, huh.
Speaker 8 (18:39):
He is so emotionally intelligent. It is so easy to
see how she fell in love with him. He is
a king and like every girl deserves a Beny Blanco.
Oh my god. I already we already kind of knew
that he seems such such a great partner, but this
pressed to her. They've been on for their new album.
I'm like, oh my god, he's just he's very like amazing.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Hey, well.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Brought to you by Dover rug There is an art
to fitting carpeting along a staircase a curve wall, cutting
and binding it perfectly like a well made suit, is
what I'm talking about. It's not just the material, it
is the tailor. So Dover Rugg is available in Natick, Boston,
Burlington and online at doverrugg dot Com and there you go.
Speaker 10 (19:17):
Fight from the planet's fitness Kiss one Away Studios. We're
back with a Villy and Lisa in the morning on
Kiss one O eight.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
So big doings on ABC. Last night was a Bachelor
finale and there was a proposal, so I think justin
we check in with Riley Donovan on The Bachelor.
Speaker 7 (19:36):
Yeah, that was a bloodbath last night.
Speaker 8 (19:39):
They had really douchey rose ceremony, majorly douche He's just
there for the gram.
Speaker 5 (19:46):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
I can see it.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Riley is going to be a millionaire matchmaker.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Ever since he was little, he knew it. He knew
it was going to be.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
He knew the top four, he knew the top two.
Speaker 12 (19:59):
Telling you a matchmaker, Riley, it's on his way.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Okay, we've got him on the phone because he is
our exclusive corresponding to the Bachelor and has been for
several seasons now. I think he started when he was eleven.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Ten.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
Actually yeah, a little unusual for a ten year old.
But Riley, good morning. I guess you're in South Carolina
this morning. Are you on tour or something or yeah?
Speaker 7 (20:22):
Yeah, yeah, you know, we're we're trying to get out
there in the United States. We're trying to expand my audience.
In one of the ways to do that to go
to all corners of the country. So here I am. Yeah,
I'm being in The Bachelor to the South Carolinians.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
There you go. And you know, Riley, We've got to
give you props.
Speaker 12 (20:40):
Man.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
You picked the final four, you picked the final two,
and you picked the winner, Juliana from Newton.
Speaker 7 (20:46):
I know, and I hope I was. And I hope
I'm correct too about Lakia being the next Bachelorette.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I hope so too. Riley.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Oh, that'd be a home run for you.
Speaker 7 (20:56):
The only thing I'd be worried about if that happened
is that I think one of the main reasons why
Grant picked Juliana over Latilla is because they have very
different lifestyles, Like Juliana wants to wait to have children
until a little bit later, and you know, she likes
to have a good time and SODA's grant, but that
was Latia's main prior. She's like, oh, I want to
(21:18):
have like kids right away, and I think that kind
of scared him away.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
If I recall one of the few episodes I watched
during the season. It's when Latilla's dad said, look, she's
thirty one, she's gonna want to have kids right away.
She probably won four or five kids. And I'm like, oh, oh,
that could be bad.
Speaker 7 (21:33):
That's that's that's not what he wants. And but the
thing was, I mean, Juliana is great. I'm really happy
for her. She was great. That's why I picked her.
But Latilla was kind of just like kind of like
played along like a puppet, just like with the string.
It's just like, oh, yeah, you're you're you're my favorite.
You're gonna you're gonna win. We're gonna get engaged. And
then at the end, she she wasn't even nervous. She
(21:54):
was like walking into the roast ceremony. Yeah, and she
was like, oh, this is gonna be mine.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
Well, and she just got it.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Well that's because he strung her along.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
He basically like gave her a journal, said like I'm
going to get engaged to you, and then at the
last second it didn't.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Yeah, I think we have sound, don't we dress him
from Latia after the fact when she was blindsided. When
you have got it on the board.
Speaker 9 (22:15):
We're scared that if you didn't tell me how you
felt that I was going to leave and you couldn't
stand to lose me. So every week you continue to
raise the stakes and.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
You went out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
In Madrid.
Speaker 9 (22:32):
You gave me a journal, telling me to write all
my thoughts and feelings so we could read through it together.
At the end, you told me I was your number
one connection, that from the first group day you knew
I was your wife. Those aren't things that you say
when you're conflicted.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Oh boy, oh boy. So Riley, I'm going to ask you,
as somebody who started covering this show from major radio
program when you were ten years old, how do you
get this?
Speaker 5 (23:04):
Like?
Speaker 3 (23:05):
How does he love all of these people at the
same time and he looks them in the eye and
tells him I'm so in love with you. I'm going
to spend the rest of my life with you. How
does that happen?
Speaker 7 (23:14):
There's just it's just a big mistake. And I whoever
did that? They actually brought up three people last night.
They brought up Charity the Bachelorette, Clayton the Bachelor, and
they brought up loser Gary.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
I couldn't I could not believe.
Speaker 7 (23:33):
I could not believe they made him. I could not
believe him. They made him like go up there and
like just like he was married for like I mean,
I think he put the wrong person, but that's a
different conversation. But so they brought them up and they
basically walked through the audience like what their next steps
are and what mistakes not to make. So and I
think Grant made the mistake because he was desperate to
(23:56):
have He really wasn't sure, and he was desperate to
just have two people there. That's why he's strung with
t On. She made her feel so good so that
he would feel so good and you know, so pumped
up about his connection. So I think that's why he
kept stringing her along, even though like I think that's.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Really I think that's really good insight. I honestly do
rather Yeah, I think you're totally right. We are still
caught up though, Like why Gary was on the couch.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Yeah, when I saw him, I'm like, okay, he brought
the franchise to its knees.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
It flamed out because of him.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
Everyone was in love with the Golden Bachar and then
it became like a joke.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Yeah, Like he was a complete fraud, right, and he's
sitting there like nothing happened.
Speaker 7 (24:37):
And he's sitting there next to Clayton, who is giant.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Yeah. By the way, what's the Clayton story? He looks odd?
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, what happened with him?
Speaker 7 (24:45):
He looked different from when I saw him last. He
didn't he didn't end up. He actually told the last
three woman that he loved but that he loved him
and he ended up with nobody.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Yeah, yeah, oh boy. And he's juicing to I think
he was him devastating. So, Riley, we have to fill
you in on what's going on behind the scenes of
The Bachelor. Okay, so you know Mikey v the v bros.
In the afternoon here on Kiss right, yep. Well, he
(25:17):
is apparently very good friends with Juliana and has been
and so he all night long even now, has been
partying with Grant in a suite in Los Angeles, and
we talked to him off the air a little bit earlier.
This has been quite a party. He could barely speak.
(25:37):
So he's scheduled to call us right after eight o'clock.
So that'll be a different side to the story, but
it will be exclusive, just like you are, Riley Donovan.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
So I think that you know, I honestly think Grant
was The girls were great this season. I think Grant
was like even like the most like boring part of
the season. He really has like he was just like
just not really like he wasn't really exciting. And I
think like Juliana brings some excitement into his life because
(26:08):
I think she she comes from a big family and
I think that I think that he'll be in like
inspired kind of So.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
You think you think it's going to last between Grant
and Juliana.
Speaker 7 (26:20):
I definitely think they're gonna last.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
Really some hesitation.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Then why think they're going to last long term? But
for the short term? Yes, Okay, well right, yeah, you
at least want to get meeting at least like a
couple of years. But I think I think that I
think they're gonna make it through.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Okay, you've been listening to Riley dunhaman exclusively the correspondent
on the Bachelor franchise for the Billy and Lisa Morning
Show at fourteen years old. He's fourteen, Yeah, okay, Riley,
have fun in South Carolina.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
I'm playing golf, buddy.
Speaker 13 (26:56):
Thank you.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
I have a tea time in an hour, all right,
coming up?
Speaker 5 (27:02):
Next to the big update on the Love is Blind
date that we set up before vacation, Matt and Tiffany.
They went out last week at all the details, Lisa.
Speaker 3 (27:12):
Kiss one O eight. Hey guys, So welcome back. It
is the Billy and Lisa Morning Show. So right before
we went on vacation, one of the big buzz stories
that locally was this show Love Is Blind was shooting
in and around Boston.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
Right and we got a lot of calls from our
listeners who actually were part of the process, and some
of them made it through and some of them didn't.
So we decided to try and hook up two of
the people that didn't make it through.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Because some of the people who did not make it
through started calling into the show telling us their story
and how they thought they were going to be on
the show and then last minute they were not only
off the show, but they were ghosted by the show.
Speaker 4 (27:49):
So Tiffany and Matt are the two people that we
set up on the show, and then we sent them
on a date to Davio's.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
And now Tiffany is on the phone with us this
morning to tell all good morning, Tiffany, good morning, how
are you good? Tiffany So to set the record straight,
we sent you and Matt to a dinner at Davio's
in the back bay. Before we get to you and Matt.
How was the food? How was the experience at Davio's.
Speaker 13 (28:19):
It was incredible, the food, the cocktails, everything was amazing.
It was the Titanic inspired menu, which was pretty cool
because they Yeah, so it was cool.
Speaker 7 (28:29):
It was like a.
Speaker 13 (28:29):
Prefixed menu, so got to get an appetizer, dinner.
Speaker 7 (28:33):
And dessert.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
Okay, So, but it didn't work out as well for
the two of you as it did on board the
Titanic and in the movie, right, it did not.
Speaker 13 (28:42):
It was the date was kind of like the sinking
ship there.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Okay, so walk us through it. So you sit down
at davio as you're meeting Matt for the first time.
I mean, love is blind, right, So how'd it go?
Speaker 13 (28:56):
It was okay, I think, right. I think a couple
of minutes in when we started having conversations, I just
I didn't really feel a romantic connection there. I don't
think we're compatible in our values, and we definitely had
different view points on a lot of topics.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Well, give us a couple of examples.
Speaker 13 (29:16):
I like to talk about light, casual things on a
first date, and there were just a lot of heavy conversations.
But sometimes I was left a little speechless, like I
don't know, I just don't want to talk about those
things on a first date. I want to get to know,
like what's your favorite color, do you have a family?
Do you what do you like to do?
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (29:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (29:35):
What were the heavy things? He was talking about?
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Politics? Probably politics yet initial on the air, Oh, never
never go there.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
He did that right away.
Speaker 13 (29:48):
It was a lot of conversations about that. Yeah. So
I mean, like I said, I didn't want to talk
about those heavy things on a first date. But you know,
there's someone for everyone. It just he just wasn't for me.
Speaker 9 (30:00):
Now.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
I was also told by a little bird that you
did get a follow up call from Matt.
Speaker 13 (30:06):
I did. He asked me to go get another drink,
and I politely declined. You know what?
Speaker 5 (30:13):
She said?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
No?
Speaker 4 (30:17):
After the date was over, how did you guys leave off?
Speaker 13 (30:23):
I gave a little side hug and ran into my
Uber and started calling my friends.
Speaker 5 (30:31):
In the group chat.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
It's like that commercial you see on TV when they're
on a first date and the guy's talking about how
he's an air drummer and all kinds of stupid things,
and the woman's calling Uber from under the table and
then leaves.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
He never want a side hug?
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, a side hug.
Speaker 16 (30:45):
No.
Speaker 8 (30:45):
I had got the opportunity to talk with Tiffany last
week and to give you guys an idea of how
it really went. She said to me, who's paying for
my therapy session after this date? So we obviously we
didn't get to vet him, so you know, she got
to do that for us.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
And I gotta ask you this, Tiffany. Okay, now I
know I happen to know that the dinner was paid
for in advance. If it hadn't been, how do you
think he would have dealt with the bill?
Speaker 13 (31:16):
Well, we actually talked about this. I think that I'm
hoping he would have paid. It seems like depending on
my political views, he either would have split or he.
Speaker 7 (31:26):
Would have paid.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Okay, were you when you saw him? Were you attracted
to him?
Speaker 7 (31:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (31:33):
Yeah, he's Yeah, he looked like he was definitely my type,
like tall, dark features, he is.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
A cute like yeah, he's but a little too serious
for you, Yeah.
Speaker 18 (31:47):
A little too serious.
Speaker 13 (31:48):
I just like someone to you know, more match my
energy and just just have fun someone that I can
have a conversation with without being interrogated.
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Yeah, so you're saying bad energy.
Speaker 13 (31:59):
Yeah, I'm more like uppy eating casual and I don't
take a lot seriously, right off the bat.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
And if you don't mind my asking, Tiffany off the
Titanic menu, what did you order a Daia's?
Speaker 13 (32:11):
So I got the iceberg salad, which the manager came over.
He was really excited about that idea because he was like,
do you get it? The iceberg?
Speaker 3 (32:24):
Great?
Speaker 13 (32:26):
Mac got? So I ordered, and then Matt said, I'll
have the opposite of everything she's having, So he got.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Okay, wait, Timmy, you had to tell them his exact order.
Speaker 13 (32:40):
Yeah, okay, so he got So I got a dirty martini,
I got the iceberg salad. I got the short rib.
They're so good, and I forget what I got for dessert,
like the Alaskan something Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Baked Alaska.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
It's Alaska, yah yeah, yeah, yeah, you go girl.
Speaker 13 (33:03):
It was delicious. You know, I was making the most
out of it. I was like, this is a night
out totally.
Speaker 7 (33:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (33:09):
So he got some sort of peppermint mocha martini and
then he got lobster biss salmon.
Speaker 8 (33:18):
And peppermint Martina Martini.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Matt.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Okay, Well, if that doesn't say let's have some fun,
I gotta say, Tiffany, Tiffany sounds like a.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Really fun Tiffany. Maybe we'll have to do it again
with you.
Speaker 13 (33:37):
I know, you know I Matt wasn't the one for me,
but maybe your show can help me find my forever man.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
We're gonna do our best. Okay, But Tiffany, great job.
Thank you very much for playing along, and thank you
to Matt too. Absolutely yeah along. I mean, it's a
nerve wracking going on in the first day a blind day,
but thank you so much, Tiffany. Speaking of dates, topic
time is next and we're talking about bead first dates.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
You can learn a lot from what happened to Tiffany.
Speaker 5 (34:05):
How can you beat that story?
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Yeah? Bad first dates? Is the topic? Give us a
called six one seven the talkback justin How did you
get those?
Speaker 5 (34:14):
In iHeartRadio app downloaded? It is one hundred percent free
once you do, just tap that little red microphone right
on the screen when you listen to us KUS want
to wait?
Speaker 3 (34:22):
Topic time is next.
Speaker 10 (34:24):
Now it's topic time for The Billy and Lisa in
the Morning.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Okay, so we had our own little lovers blind episode
on The Billy and Lisa Morning Show. We sent to
Tiffany and Matt out on a date. They went to
Davio's in Boston. It was a beautiful restaurant, great meal.
We had Tiffany on a little bit of go and
she was telling all and now we have the talkbacks. Hey,
(34:50):
good morning.
Speaker 15 (34:50):
We have to hear what the man thought about the date,
because I often think there's like this communication gap.
Speaker 13 (34:57):
So I would be curious to hear his sign of
the date. And he called her again, so he must
have thought it went well, get him on the phone.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
You know what we're gonna do right now, We're going
to get him on the phone. Good morning, Matt, Hey,
good morning. How you doing, buddy, joy yourself, We're doing good.
So you went out to Davio's with Tiffany and may
for Tiffany on the show a little bit earlier because
you actively called us, we would have called you anyway, Matt.
But anyway, tell us about your experience at Davios.
Speaker 19 (35:31):
Yeah, I had a great experience. I figured I'd just
call in just to maybe point out some inconsistencies or
kind of give my rebuttal on the PAP. I feel
like it was misrepresented.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Okay, let's go.
Speaker 19 (35:45):
So she was right. We definitely had a conversation and
of this a lot of topics political, politically related. But
when we first sat down, one of the first things
you said to me was you're a Republican, right, and
kind of called me off. But I was like, yeah, sure,
why And then she decided to go into all these
political topics. Oh So it wasn't like I sat down
(36:07):
and was like, oh, we need to talk about all
this political stuff. She brought it up and then we
talked about all this stuff and we kind of agreed
on almost everything.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
But she opened the political door, and that's usually a
bad conversation on a first date.
Speaker 7 (36:21):
Well, I don't have.
Speaker 19 (36:22):
A problem with talking about politics. I mean, if you're
looking at date someone seriously, I think it's important that
your value is kind of aligned. So I have no
issues about it. As soon as possible, I think it's
a good idea actually.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
So okay, So in the middle of the day, how
did you feel you feel things were going?
Speaker 19 (36:38):
Okay, Matt, Yeah, again, like I said, we were talking
about politics, and all of our views are totally in alignment.
I wouldn't have asked someone out on a second date
if I didn't feel like we aligned with some of
those morals and values.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Well so well, but.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
So you're correcting saying that she brought it up.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
You didn't.
Speaker 19 (36:59):
She When we first down, she said you're a Republican, right,
and I said yes, And then that's kind of where
it went from there.
Speaker 8 (37:04):
But my question is, Matt, so she as you heard
her say, she said you guys didn't align, So what
do you think you misaligned on? Since you're saying that
you thought you did align.
Speaker 19 (37:14):
The one thing that seems to be hung up on
was like who should pay for the first date?
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (37:21):
What's your take on that?
Speaker 19 (37:24):
Yeah, I'll get so this is my perspective. And then
I think we agreed on this. Which is why it's confusing,
is that I feel like if the woman is more
of a feminist or more egalitarian or believes in gender equality,
that there should be no issues with her supploiment date
as that feels pretty equal. But if you're a woman
who is more traditional conservative or you believe in gender roles,
(37:45):
then I think it's fair to expect the man to
pay for the first date, and since she fell under
the ladder, I was obviously going to pay for the date,
even though it wasn't the whole date. I only paid
for the tip.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Yeah, yeah, Oh so you picked up the tip.
Speaker 19 (37:58):
I picked up a tip, and I feel like position
is pretty logical. I don't feel like it's inconsistent. I
feel like maybe some people would disagree with it, but
I think it's logically consistent and.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
You're entitled to that. Well, luckily the tab was paid
by us, so or by davia that didn't have that
didn't have to be an issue.
Speaker 9 (38:19):
So you the tip?
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Okay, all right, okay? Are you a generous tipper?
Speaker 5 (38:24):
Matt?
Speaker 19 (38:26):
I always leave a minimum twenty percent and they were
great service.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
So there you go. So you did call her back
right after the date?
Speaker 19 (38:34):
Oh I didn't call. I sent a text saying, hey,
did you want to grab a drink again? Which I
would never have done if it was someone I didn't
align with politically, So I don't know that I must
point to something.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
So so when you left the date, you thought things
went well enough for you to ask for a second date.
Speaker 19 (38:50):
It was worth the shock for sure. Again, I would
never have done that if you weren't in agreement on
so many topics.
Speaker 5 (38:55):
Yeah, all right, this is interesting.
Speaker 8 (38:58):
They've had Obviously they have two viewpoint of how the
night went, and there was something that was off for her,
but he said things that they were more aligned than
she's letting us.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (39:07):
I don't know if maybe it wasn't politics that you
were off on, maybe it was something else.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
Well, you know, Matt, you're still going to find love somewhere.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
Back to the drawing board. Back to the drawing board,
as they say.
Speaker 19 (39:17):
Oh, and about the dinner part, like kind of made
it a point of contention that I ordered the opposite
of what she ordered. I literally only did that so
that we could each try one of each.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
Thing that I love.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
That that was a good suggestion.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
It's a peppermint mocha, Martine threw us off on.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
Yeah, not the is that your go to drink?
Speaker 19 (39:36):
No, but it was on the menu and it was delicious.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Specially again now everything's been explained, Yeah, this is it
makes sense.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
Matt. We're so glad you called. Thank you so much,
and who knows, maybe we'll continue this whole idea of
love is blind and date nights and everything, and but
the topic is bad first dates. So what have we
got winning?
Speaker 1 (39:55):
We'll keep with the phones, will go to stuff. I
know this makes so many talk a.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
Kind of glad that we had mad on. He really
filled in the gaps.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
Well, there's two sides to every story.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Well right now, but the Martini thing, it was on
the menu.
Speaker 8 (40:07):
Let's be sorry. There's three sides, hers, his and the truth.
There's something awful both of them. There's there's truth in
the middle of both of them.
Speaker 5 (40:15):
Yeah, Like I did like Matt's point that he wouldn't
have called her back if they didn't a lot, if
he didn't feel like the date went well.
Speaker 8 (40:22):
It seems as though she does lean more one way,
but isn't comfortable letting us know that, which is fine.
Yah was known that, but then that might not necessary.
But what was off about it? It could have been
other things, just.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
A couple of Republicans on a bad date at a
wonderful restaurant. Thank you to Davis by who we got next, Stephanie,
good morning, tell us about your bad first date.
Speaker 20 (40:46):
Hi, good morning, guys.
Speaker 18 (40:47):
So my it was awful.
Speaker 20 (40:50):
I was talking to this guy for about a week
and he wanted to go out. We agreed to go
to David Busters. I'm always for a fun time games.
I'm cool with that. So it started off bad. As
soon as we met up in the parking lot. He
was like, oh my gosh, I can't wait to you know,
play games like go hard. I was like, okay, cool.
Speaker 12 (41:11):
Cool.
Speaker 20 (41:12):
So we get in and he buys everything, like he
bought all the tokens and everything, and it just I
ended up believing he was so competitive, but it was embarrassing.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
It was so embarrassing in the little basketball game.
Speaker 20 (41:27):
And everything, like it was like video games, like you know,
the ones that you shoot like the zombies and whatnot.
Like it was like he was so animated, like he
was like yelling at this like machine pretty much. And
I was like, oh my gosh, I need to leave.
And I ended up like, oh, you know, I'm not
feeling good. So I ended up leaving, but and he
(41:49):
followed me out and he was like what I thought
we were having a great time.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
I was like, you on our first days at Dave
and Busters and.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
The gun it's too competitive.
Speaker 5 (42:02):
That's classic was it was a lot.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Yeah, that's a class.
Speaker 8 (42:06):
I mean, that is a place for a competition. Guys,
I have an update all date. Tiffany reached out to me.
She said, he's lying.
Speaker 2 (42:14):
Oh okay, now it's just.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
Yeah, she said, he's lying.
Speaker 8 (42:19):
I only asked because of the bear question on the show,
where he asked, would you.
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Want to be alone in the woods there or man?
So she's like, that's why what it is?
Speaker 5 (42:29):
That's that's valid. He did bring that up, but the
fact that she led with that opened the door for him.
Speaker 3 (42:34):
Yeah, and now everything's getting a little.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Really, I know, she said.
Speaker 8 (42:39):
I nodded along in agreement a lot because I was uncomfortable.
Speaker 5 (42:42):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (42:43):
So it was like when you're like actively listening and
you're like, okay, okay.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Okay, that's saying the dinner was paid for, so they
had to sit through the dinner.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
Yeah, you know they're not a match. Whatever.
Speaker 5 (42:56):
Well that's how the was.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
I told you.
Speaker 5 (42:59):
There was more of that and not all first dates
go well, good.
Speaker 15 (43:01):
Morning everyone, I hope you're having a great day. I
have one of the worst dates in history. His favorite
movie was Silence with the Lambs. He lied about so
many things. He was boring. He took home a quarter
of a sandwich and sang darling Nikki to me from
the bathroom.
Speaker 5 (43:23):
I'm sure you never want to hear that again, right.
Speaker 3 (43:27):
Nikkia, I guess you could say she was a six
feet It's amazing to me how bad some guys are,
like silent right away. Silence of the lands happens to
be my favorite.
Speaker 5 (43:40):
Well, I know recently a girl that went on a
first date she met a guy on tender. Within the
first ten minutes of sitting down for dinner, he's already
talking about sex, like, what are you doing?
Speaker 13 (43:49):
You know?
Speaker 5 (43:49):
And she was completely turned off.
Speaker 3 (43:51):
Quare, Let's go to Marissa next. Is it Marissa or
Marisa Essa? Well, I'll take Marissa, okay, So what your
bad date?
Speaker 16 (44:02):
So?
Speaker 18 (44:02):
I got set up by a friend who's a nurse.
She set me up with this surgeon. I want to
say he was a neurosurgeon, but I can't remember exactly.
We went out for dinner and it was all right,
but I agreed to go to a second bar where
he We drove from that bar, I left my car there.
(44:24):
We drove his BMW to the next bar, and he
got so hammered that on the way back to the
first spot, we Chinese fire drilled in the middle of
a side street because he couldn't drive, So I drove
his BMW back to the first car the first bar
so he could get an uber home. And I'm pretty
sure he had to work the next morning. Would you
(44:44):
want that guy operating on you?
Speaker 3 (44:46):
No, I'm fascinated. There are so many like creepy guys
out there.
Speaker 5 (44:54):
I'm telling you, every time we do this topic, it's
always it never ends on man.
Speaker 16 (44:58):
I didn't a lot of bad first dates, but one
that comes to mind was a date with a plastic surgeon.
I was so excited, I thought I was going to
get a free Brazilian butt lift out of the guy.
He shows up, looks nothing like his picture, looks like
Dobby from Harry Potter. We proceed to get dinner. He
got Mexican street corn that comes into play in a minute.
(45:19):
He starts talking all about his sex parties that he has. Meanwhile,
Quinn niblets through his teeth above his lip. I haven't
able to eat corn since
