points for having the second preset? Billy and Lisa after
show and then Lisa's book club podcast and then the

(01:41):

Speaker 1 (01:45):

The Ogs get to share a giant bag of rich
crackers with Winnie because she's eating a family sized bag
of rich crackers.

Speaker 3 (01:55):

Please help me wish my sister Danielle a very happy
birthday today.

Speaker 10 (02:30):
We both live in North Carolina and have been listening
to you guys since.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
We're in high school.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Happy birthday, Danielle. Happy birth birthday, Danielle.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Thank you for listening.

Speaker 9 (02:39):
Yeah, thanks Danielle. Happy birthday.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
We have our weird stories coming up, and Lisa tease this.
Yeah as a one, there's a new hack that's online
to get a free.

Speaker 9 (02:50):
Breakfast, and I think it will work.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
We think it might work. We'll give you all the
details of the weird stories, by the way. We do
every morning right around eight twenty. Yes, Bill, I think
I did it and did the free breakfast. I think
I did it all right.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Details next, I'm kidding a Kid's onea Wait with a
Billy and Lisa's Weird Stories. All Right, I absolutely love
this story. I've stayed at Embassy Suites before. They have
the free breakfast, which is amazing. By the way, that's
our go too. But a woman is proudly posting on
TikTok how to get into a hotel and steal the
free breakfast.

Speaker 11 (03:23):
Here are some tips on how to get your breakfast.
It's key to research beforehand. Know the layout of the
first floor of the hotel that you're going into, and
go to the elevators first. Look like you belong there,
but also look like you don't need to be there,
like it's an inconvenience for you to be there.

Speaker 6 (03:37):
Just look so busy, be on the phone. The clipboard
goes a long way.

Speaker 11 (03:41):
I'm already planning where I'm going for breakfast next week.
Please grab stuff not for yourself, the pre wrapped bagels
and fruit.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
People always neat food.

Speaker 9 (03:49):
It's so true, I'm telling you.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
And most of the time there's like never a front
desk person there, so you literally can walk in and.

Speaker 9 (03:55):
Just take a left and just load up. I have bagels, fruit.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
I've done it when my son Dylan was playing like
little league ball, Etlite baseball and had tournaments like in
Connecticut and places like that, Princeton, New Jersey. We were
in Connecticut staying in a nice hotel. But I happened
to know that one of the Embassy suites or whatever,
you know, yeah and garden in or something was right
down the street. And I said, you know, they served

(04:22):
free breakfast, a full buffet right down the street. We
walked into the hotel, nobody stopped us, went to the buffet,
had a great breakfast, and left.

Speaker 6 (04:29):
Just look like you're supposed to be there.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Like I've done it.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
I've used pools for free.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
You got to own it.

Speaker 6 (04:33):
My mom always taught me, you got to wear the bathroom.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Look for hotel because they had the nicest bathrooms and
no one's using them because they have their bathrooms upstairs
in their rooms. So use their bathrooms, use their pools
if you can, and you get there for.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
You now that you think of it. I was just
in New York, New Jersey.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
The hotel had free breakfast every morning, a full spread,
and it was right in the front there.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Anyone could walk.

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Nobody was checking in, No one check And if you're
a front desk person. They have shifts, so if you
checked in it five, the morning person doesn't know who
checked in out five.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
But you don't even have to worry about the front desk.
You just go in like you're staying there, like you
own the hotel. And then, you know, spend a couple
of minutes, walk right into the buffet, grab some food
and go.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
It's good breakfast too.

Speaker 9 (05:09):
Oh oh they've got Belgian waffles. Oh yeah, yeah, they've
got sausage bacon.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
And it's kind of a pet peeve of mine. You
stay in a really expensive hotel, you get nothing, nothing
for free. Yeah, I stay in an inexpensive hotel. The
breakfast is enormous, Maria.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
It was nothing fancy and the breakfast was amazing.

Speaker 9 (05:30):
Good, especially with kids.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Oh, you even take food to go.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Oh I did you know the cereal cops they got
fruit milk on the cart juice.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
How about this? Three teenage sisters arrested for trying to
kill their mom after she turned off the Wi Fi.
They're known for that in this neighborhood.

Speaker 8 (05:52):
Solway's cops are on the house.

Speaker 9 (05:54):
Whence she got back from the gas station.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
She says that that there was cops outside.

Speaker 7 (05:58):
But they've always you know, been ow as like trouble
in this neighborhood and our neighbors till it's the same thing.

Speaker 11 (06:04):
I think that's so crazy.

Speaker 10 (06:06):
I mean, it just tells how much unstable that family is,
and it's very sad for them.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah, the sisters grabbed the kitchen knives and chased their
mom out onto the street, looking to stabber because she
turned off the Wi Fi. It's horrid.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
This is horrible.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
It's so funny though, how kids that grew up with
only the Internet, always having Wi Fi if we if
we go out of the house. Sometimes my son or
daughter will say, I can't get on my iPad.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
There's no there's no wife. I hit what But.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Having one daughter that wants to kill you, but three I.

Speaker 9 (06:40):
Think they I think they have bigger issues.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Deep runs deep, you know, when they're not going to
have Wi Fi at jail, maybe in the library. I
had to have a bonus I want to throw in
because we didn't get to this earlier this week.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Uh huh.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
So you guys know who Mark Morrison is. Yeah, Return
of the Mac. He got busted on a battery charge
in Florida. Did you see this. He allegedly beat up
the manager of a swanky restaurant. He was upset about
some kind of event that he was planning there, and
he like shoved the manager of the restaurant and got arrested. Wow,
Mark Morrison, you know he had the big nineties. Yeah, Abs,

(07:17):
he'll be back.

Speaker 12 (07:20):
He.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
Will he make his return.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
You want to hear something funny. When you said Mark Morrison,
I thought you were talking.

Speaker 9 (07:32):
About that Morrison guy, Mark Morrison, the captain.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
No, oh, he would that's him, But I thought it
was the guy who was Matthew Perry's a stepdad. He
beat someone up?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Why you looked confused that for a second.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
He's the guy with the voice, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Morris is a dateline mini mister.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
I would actually love to see him beat somebody up.
He seems such a gentleman.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
He's so wrinkled. He looks like a raisin.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
You know.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Hey, we're coming up on entertainment. It's a big week
for Ed Shearon in this area. We've got so much information.
He went on Fallon last night and Ed Shearon shared
all some really good stories. We've got them.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Next. Hey, Jimmy FOUNDO. But I'm in Boston.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I like to listen to Billy and Lisa in the
morning on Kiss went Away, Hey.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Lisa, Hey Lisa, Jimmy Fallon. Now we're gonna go to
his show in a couple of minutes. In Entertainment, Ed
Sharon was on Fallon last night. I had a lot
to say, especially about this city of Boston and his
visit to the North Shore of this weekend. But in
the meantime, justin you're expanding your family today.

Speaker 10 (08:42):
Ha ha ha.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
One could say that, yeah, yeah, what's going on.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Well, my wife, who I love to death, she's the
love of my life, woke up Sunday morning and says
to me, I want chickens.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
I want to get baby chicks.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
I think it would be a therapeutic for me and
for their children as well to raise these chickens.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
And so I didn't put much of a fight up.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
I just said okay, and she didn't say anything else
about it, and I just got the word that they
got shipped to the post office where she has to
pick them up.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
There are ten of them.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
They're baby chicks, and apparently we have to incubate them
in my garage with a heater. She's using my old
ice bath that's in the back of the garage for
six weeks and then.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
We have to build it. Hold on, we have to
build a chicken coop in my backyard.

Speaker 9 (09:33):
Yeah, my friend has chickens. You'll like it.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
The kids will like it. I'll you'll love the eggs
and everything. But it's just like it's a lot of work.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
Right for who that's the question. That's what I mean.
They're gonna be cool. The kids are gonna be into
it for like a month, right, a month, and then
she's gonna be like, I'm working, I'm tired. I can't
do it today. You get a handle the chickens and
here I come.

Speaker 6 (09:56):
Oh my god, you have a vast wooded area part
of mine. Leave it open, leave.

Speaker 5 (10:05):
The door or actually, or once a week, just let
one go back there.

Speaker 9 (10:11):
Now we're not saying that, but this is going to
be all yeah, yes.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
And also we had we knew somebody that had chickens.
They still do. They have a little farm, and they
made the mistake of naming the chickens when they got them.
And what happened was a predator got in. She slaughtered
the chickens. And it was heartbreaking because they had built
a connection through naming them. So I said to her,
we're not naming them, and she said, oh, yes we are.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Oh we are, so okay.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
So that's what's going on at my house.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Get to call about the slaughter.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
I don't know. I don't do well with them.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
There's no way that these are going to last. One
in like a couple months now.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
You said she's taking over your ice bath. What is
she using that for.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
To incubate them?

Speaker 3 (10:51):
So they have to go on pine in you know,
in my garage with a heater, they can't be outside,
and the incubation period is around six weeks. So we're
not going to get eggs until end of summer, right.

Speaker 9 (11:03):
But you know the fascinating thing about this is that
they ship them through the mail.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
When I heard post office, I was like what, Yeah,
so the place that that sells them actually gets them
shipped to the post office and they go pick them up.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
There are they alive?

Speaker 4 (11:16):
There, chicks?

Speaker 3 (11:18):
But I believe they're un sexed, meaning if they're male,
we don't want them. So we're going to give them
to a farm and if their female will keep them
because the females lay eggs.

Speaker 5 (11:27):
Yeah, because it won't it won't be a hen and
also might be a rooster for the guy, which are
illegal where I live. Well, I don't understand how this works.
How can it be shipped as a live thing.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
I'm not sure how that works.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Well, they ship bees like they they'll if you have
a hive, you can get bees shipped to you.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeah, maybe I'll name one, Billy, you name one, Winny, Okay,
get slaughtered.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
You're becoming more New Hampshire every days.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
To me, it's my wife.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
You're acting like you're justin happy wife, happy life.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yes, And all I know is I know what I'm
getting you for Christmas. A beautiful set of overalls to
take care of the chicks.

Speaker 4 (12:11):
I have a John Deere anyway, Welcome to the chickens.

Speaker 9 (12:14):
Why doesn't ate chicken wear pens? Because it's pecker is
on its head now?

Speaker 1 (12:20):
The entertainment updates with a Billy Codstad Okay head Cheron
definitely gets the buzz this week. He's coming to Ipswich, Massachusetts,
and a couple of other towns on the North Shore.
His advanced teams have been in and out all week,
and he broke it down on Fallon last night. It
turns out he's building a mock pub and he's shooting

(12:41):
a music video.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
I'll talk to you about this.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
You're doing doing your own pub over here in Massachusetts, over.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
In ip Switch, Ipswitch, Massachusetts this Friday, in fact. Yeah,
and you'll be there.

Speaker 13 (12:54):
You know what's interesting about this pub is it it
will stand for two days we're building. It's like a
working pub.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
But if you go right, it's going to fall down.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
It's like you shut it down.

Speaker 13 (13:06):
Yeah, it's this idea of the music video is basically
the build of the pub with everyone locally. And then
to get entry to it, you have to go on
your old phone and find an old message that means
a lot to you or a video that means it
means a lot to you and send it in and
then afterwards.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
We're going to project them on the walls and stuff.

Speaker 13 (13:24):
It's going to be cool, serving serving guinness and like,
it's going to be cool.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
So there's a phone number right at least that you're
supposed to texture.

Speaker 9 (13:34):
It's nine one seven nine nine four four nine eight and.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Justin I think you did it. So what happens when
you do it?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Yeah, so a link will pop up you click it
and you enter your information, just your name and your
phone number and your email, and then you'll get a
thank you text from d and they add themselves to
your contact list, and that's where you submit the old
message or video, the audio or the video.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
You text it to that phone number.

Speaker 9 (13:59):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
That's how Yeah, I said, he's going to be happening
around the region over the weekend, and apparently it's because
he's shooting a music video for his new song old Phone.
He talks about it.

Speaker 13 (14:10):
I had a song on my record. I you know,
I was in a lawsuit a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
Yeah, I remember that.

Speaker 13 (14:17):
In the lawsuit, they ordered you to give up all
your old devices. So I handed everything in, but I
haven't used I moved to a tablet in twenty fifteen,
just on email, and so I switched my phone off
twenty fifteen and left it in a box. And then
when I went through that lawsuit, I got my phone
out again and had to go through like all the
voice notes and the pictures and all that stuff for

(14:38):
the lawyers, and I switched on and it was like
going into a time machine. Like the first text was
my friend that had passed away the year before. The
second text was like an argument with an ex girlfriend.
The third text was a family member I hadn't spoken
to him ten years. Vortext was another mate that died
and I was kind of like scrolling down. It really
really spun me out. And that day I wrote in
my notes like I found my old phone today and

(14:59):
then finished this as a song. And then I ended
up writing it into a song that that that's the
music video for.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah, it's a great story and let's face it, edge
here and it's a great story teller. Yeah, And he
gave us a preview of the song last night.

Speaker 14 (15:12):
I found my phone today in a box that I
had hidden away. This style is trying to lead me
astray Maybia and write some road.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Yeah, he's got us all thinking we wanted to dig
up our old cell phones.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
It's all about the teleph all the old pictures, all
about the old telephone.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
That has nothing to do with it. Now I've got
to cancel these cruise and set up a schedule. How
did you talk to the cruise? I told you last night,
I don't know telephone. I'm on the telephone. I called
and said, hey, can you be down there tomorrow? It's
gonna be a nice day. We'll get going now nothing,
how are you God?

Speaker 9 (15:56):
Memories?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Oh boy, something else came up last night on Fallon.
He says he originally wrote the song shape of You
for Rihanna, he ended up keeping it for himself.

Speaker 13 (16:06):
Out of any any musician, Branna has the best taste
out of out of anyone, She's always picked just really
really great songs. So as songwriters, you know, within the
songwriting community, you're always writing songs to pitch to Rihanna.
Like every single album that I've ever done, I've always
gone right on the side, let's try and write a
song that we can pitch to Rihanna, and it always

(16:27):
makes like love Yourself. Actually, the one I did for
Biber was originally a Rihanna in mind, like, oh we
should do something for her and way yeah, And sometimes
I promise you there'll be so many songwriters out there
that the bed came from trying to write a Rihanna song.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Yeah, we weren't aware of the Bieber song, right this,
I mean love Yourself that was.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Such a hit and that she decided not to do it,
and then they gave it to Bieber.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
He wrote that with Bennie Blanco Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Anyway ed Sharon on the Norse Sure this weekend, Chapel
Roane on Call Her Daddy this week admidst. She's madly
in love now with a woman.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Serious. It's serious because I'm very in love.

Speaker 9 (17:11):
But I am pro single.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
Everyone should be single.

Speaker 9 (17:13):
I'm serious.

Speaker 6 (17:14):
Stop dating, be.

Speaker 9 (17:16):
Single, have a great time alone.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
Find out for yourself if you can one hundred percent
be okay alone.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
That's what I found out.

Speaker 9 (17:23):
I'm dating the same.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
Person that I was dating before I got like, I
blew up. I'm not sure how I would date out.
I think it would actually be a nightmare at least.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
She also talks about deal breakers when it comes to romance.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Which we've talked about as topic time, like chewing gum
with an open mouth, bad breath, being rude to waiters
when you're out with someone. I think that was our
number one pet peeve, Like that shows who that person is.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, right, A lot of deal breakers. And then there's
Nikki Glazer, who had a lot to say this week
about her plastic surgery.

Speaker 15 (17:55):
No regrets, though I think it's a wise investment, you know,
I think that there's there's kind of a stigma around
face work or like investing in your beauty and doing
all these procedures, and there is like maybe a little
bit of a sadness to it, But I kind of also,
I'm like, well, it makes my life better.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
People treat you better when you're hotter. It's just a fact.

Speaker 15 (18:10):
It's a sad fact of life. It is you know,
and it's you know. No, And everyone was that's so sad.
Why don't you love the way you were born? And
it's like, well, why did you go to college? Why
don't you love the brain you were born with?

Speaker 9 (18:21):
Like why did you well, why did.

Speaker 15 (18:23):
You pay thousands of dollars to that institution? Just oh,
that's not a good example for your daughter. You're learning
about World War One. She doesn't know about it. She
wasn't born with that knowledge, you know. So I just
feel like I'll just do it, you know why not.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
I got to tell you Lisa earlier this morning was
showing me before and afters of Nikki Glacer. I couldn't
believe it.

Speaker 9 (18:42):
She posted the pictures.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
It was from two thousand and nine when she was
on the show with Jay Leno and then with Jimmy Fallon.
It's she's unrecognizable.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, she had a lot of great work done and
I love that she owns it. Yeah, totally celebrities, you know, speculation,
they never admit to it.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, a lot of buzz around the show White Lotus.
We're all watching it. So actress Amy Lou Woods, she
plays Chelsea, the woman with the big teeth on the show.
She was on British TV talking about it this week.

Speaker 16 (19:10):
I mean, I can't believe the impact my teeth are
having because the Americans can't believe.

Speaker 6 (19:15):
But they're all being lovely.

Speaker 16 (19:17):
It's pretty much like I mean, I've seen all these
these videos just come up on my Instagram of like
these orthodontists analyzing my teeth now going so.

Speaker 9 (19:25):
What she has here is whatever the hell it is.
I don't know what the hell it.

Speaker 16 (19:29):
Is, and they like dissect my teeth and tell and.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
Say what's wrong with it?

Speaker 11 (19:34):
But then at the end go, but we don't think
she should change a thing.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Oh, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez getting married this summer.
We just got the guest list, all of the usual suspects,
Katie Perry and Orlando bloom Oprah, Gail King, Chris Janner,
Kim Kardashian. Supposedly the wedding is going to be in Venice, Italy.

Speaker 9 (19:52):
Yes it is.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
That should be cool. And then there's Sydney Sweeney from
Euphoria and from The White Lotus. Apparently they've called off
the wedding and where it is. She and Jonathan Divino,
her fiance, are already living apart. And all the rumors
started when she was doing the movie Anyone but You

(20:14):
with Glenn.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Powell, Well, there was a rumor that they had hooked
up on the set, and then they just went with
the rumor to promote the movie, never saying if it
was true or not.

Speaker 9 (20:22):
They just were like, cool with We'll put it out there.
It'll give us more buzz.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
So maybe it's not just a rumor.

Speaker 3 (20:28):
It's more common than you think. These actors and actresses
that Stalin rolls together. They spend so much time together,
and if you know, there's some intimacy in the movie happens.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
And Zendiya Sweeney co star and Euphoria. We'll play Ronnie
Spector in the biopic Be My Baby. Specter, the co
founder of the group The Ronets who gave us the
song be My Baby Project.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
I think it's a perfect casting.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Yeah, she gets a lot of really good roles. She's busy,
like really busy. But there's another song connected to Specter
right justin that.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
You any money take me home tonight?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
This is kind of like, you know, I was a
little kid when it came out, but you know it
had many years had passed since Ronnie Spector was kind
of big, and any money brought her back when you
put her on.

Speaker 4 (21:24):
This song.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Stands the test of time. It does, it really does. Right.
The first trailer for the Alec Baldwin movie Rushed is out.
Keep in mind three years ago, or it was three
years ago, the prop gun Alec Baldwin was using killed
Elena Hutches. I can't believe the movie.

Speaker 9 (21:50):
I can't believe they're putting this out.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, do you have a clip from the trailer? Justin
the only order it exists in this world, so order
will improves.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
A man loses. Side of that, he's got nothing.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Baldwin was facing jail time. What do you think the
family of Elena Hutchins thinks about the movie still being out?

Speaker 10 (22:15):
Well?

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Are they gonna benefit financially from it?

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I gotta I have to believe, yes, maybe in her
honor so to speak.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
You know, we talked about the Hilaria alec when she
was interrupting him and raised him on the red carpet
before we went on vacation. We did a whole segment
about it. Yeah, and then we went on vacation and
that story blew up.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
Oh yeah, it was every memes. There was so much
online on social about.

Speaker 9 (22:40):
Talking I love that.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Opening day. Major League Baseball Red Sox have their season
opener in Texas with the Rangers. Celts, by the way,
beat the Suns last night. So that's seven wins in
a row for the Celtics and several guys are still
not playing. Tatum did not play last night.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
Say a lot though, that we're winning without our starting five.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
You know what they call that deep?

Speaker 6 (23:05):
We have a deep roster, Yeah, we really do.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Yep. You got to have a strong bench.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
That's right, Billy, as they say, you know, you rode
the bench your whole career played sports.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
You know, I don't know where you got that story,
but you're sticking with it and it's just so not true.
I see your stats where Bruins lost. That's seven losses
in a row for the Bruins women's pro soccer team
as a new name.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Lease it's called the Boston Legacy Football Club.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Wasn't there controversy when they first launched and they did
that promo that everybody thought was a little weird.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
They had a.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Huge launch and then they had to just sort of
go quiet for a while and then figure out a
new name.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
But it was kind of stupid with about the whole,
Like they use the term balls right in a certain situation.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
I don't know, it.

Speaker 9 (23:49):
Was, Yeah, it kind of got out of control.

Speaker 1 (23:51):

Speaker 2 (24:31):
So we're back with a Villie and Lisa in the
morning kiss Hey.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Guys, so welcome back. So we have a fairly new
segment on the Billion Lisa Morning Show. We like to
call the Great Food Drop. And one of our dear
friends from the industry drops by with some food. And
you know who's with us now, Jimmy Lang from Fuji.
Here we go, Jimmy, tim Bone, stay taste about and

(24:57):
old that tim Boli. Jim I got to tell you
you should have a Fuji right every time someone walks in.
Eddie Murphy jumps in. So that the last minute, So welcome.

(25:19):
How many Fuji? I want to get to the steakhouse
in a minute, but how many Fuji restaurants?

Speaker 12 (25:23):
I've got six Fuji?

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Where are they?

Speaker 12 (25:26):
Quinsy, Somerville, Cambridge, Boston.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yeah, okay, there's four. Ye See, that's when you know
you've made it when you don't remember where your restaurants are.

Speaker 12 (25:40):
Okay, the original right, so well, the original is still there,
but I don't own that.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
I saw that years ago.

Speaker 12 (25:45):
Okay, so wait a second, so hsp High Street Place, Newton, Newton.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Okay, that's got success right there. When you've lost track
restaurants and where they are, I love that.

Speaker 9 (25:59):
Well i'm more and so I can't remember what's going on.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Well, you have a Fuji right up the street and
Assembly Row, Yes, sir, and you were one of the
first people to take the chance and go to Assembly Row.
It was a ghost town for years.

Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Do you remember when it was good times?

Speaker 12 (26:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that was good times.
And then Ikea was supposed to go then then they
never did.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
But you did.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
Yeah, I went there.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
How's Assembly Road doing amazing? Really?

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
Every time I go in, it's busy.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
By the way, they make a good cocktailer.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Just shout out to your bartenders over there.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Thank you. I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Okay, So six or seven, you've lost track of Fuji's
all around. We love the one in Quincy because well
Lisa's in Milton, Winnie's and Quincy. But you're here to
shout out your new steakhouse, yes, called Mason's. Is it
right in the heart of Quincy.

Speaker 12 (26:48):
Yes, we are right across the street from the Quinney
Center tes station, so we're right in the middle of everything.
We're within a minute of walking distance to city Hall. Yeah,
right across the street is the John Hancock Library pretty
corner to it. So it's it's an amazing location, the

(27:08):
city of Quinsy. It's the finest city there there is,
and you know, it's in my hometown and I love it.
And it's a historical building was built in nineteen twelve,
and but unfortunately I went through a bit of a
fire when I got there.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
So you're opening a new restaurant while at the same
time you're revitalizing the city because it was a burned
down historical building.

Speaker 12 (27:26):
Yeah, and it and and it. It took a lot
of tact So Fox Rock is my landlord. They did
an amazing, amazing job in restoring the exterior. And then
when I got there, it was just it was completely empty,
just completely to the boards. There wasn't much else I
could do in terms of saving anything, because when I
first got there, I was like, oh my gosh, I

(27:47):
love this stuff, all the old wood. Oh I can't wait,
you know, to restore as much as I could.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Before you say another word, I've got a gift card
for Caller twenty five six one always very generous gift
card to the all new Mason Steakhouse in the Quincy.
Talk about the menu a little bit for everybody.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
The menu, it's very exciting.

Speaker 12 (28:07):
It's it's a modern American steakhouse. Obviously, we serve a
lot of steaks. One of my favorites is the grass fed,
amazing steaks all USDA Prime. And then you have fun
stuff like we have a coal coal fight prawn. We
use a Jospa grill, which is this really nice piece

(28:30):
of grill where you use a mixture of chocoal as
well as wood.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
I don't think, yeah, I don't think I've ever familiarized
myself enough with the prawn, you know what I mean.
It's just one of those things that pops up on
the menu occasionally and say, oh, maybe the prawns. Yeah,
describe your dish.

Speaker 12 (28:50):
It's these these giant prawns about this big. We slice
them down in half and we we add a bunch
of spices to it. Heresa is one of them, and
we just we marinated for a little while and then
we throw it on the on the grill and just
give it a quick sare and you've got super good.
Some of the other stuff that's really good. It's the octopus.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
I love that.

Speaker 12 (29:13):
That's when I might go to, Yeah, a salmon is good.
There is seriously not one thing on the menu that
I would not recommend.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Wow. And it's a beautiful facility inside and out right.
You go two levels for the dining, two.

Speaker 12 (29:26):
Levels of dining, three levels of kitchen. And but this
whole entire thing is it's really about the chefs. So
during COVID, I I had a bunch of friends that
I know, it's weird. It's five years later, I'm still
talking about this. Yeah, But during COVID, a lot of
my friends lost their businesses.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
It was tough.

Speaker 12 (29:47):
It was tough, and a lot of them are, like,
you know, in their fifties or sixties, and you know
that these guys, they're not going to come back out
and say, hey, look, I'm gonna start another restaurant and
start it's very hot, especially at that age, right, And
so I started thinking about some of my friends and
I was like, you know what I'm I'm I should
do something like this with a bunch of my friends.
Let's make it fun, Let's make it nice, Let's make

(30:09):
it a passion project.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
And that's how it started.

Speaker 12 (30:12):
So I've got my friends, Kevin Long, one of my
own chefs.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
So you have Kevin Long?

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Oh you know okay, oh yeah, yea, yeah, yeah, yea
yeah Kevin Long.

Speaker 14 (30:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (30:24):
So Kevin is my He's my vice president.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Of culinary right. Oh hey, Kevin, how you doing, buddy? Yeah?

Speaker 12 (30:29):
Yeah, so, and Kevin's doing his own podcast. I don't
know if you guys know that he has his own podcast.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Okay, we'll hold that thought because we got to go
to the Phones and College twenty five.

Speaker 6 (30:37):
Katie and Quincy.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
How about that? She's in Quincy, Katie, Hi, have you
been to mason Steakhouse yet?

Speaker 15 (30:47):
I have not, but I'm dying to try it.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Well, you're going now because we'll say, how did Jimmy
Lang the owner?

Speaker 8 (30:54):
Okay, Jimmy good?

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Good Hawaii, Katie.

Speaker 9 (30:57):
I can't wait till you.

Speaker 12 (30:59):
I can till you try to try Mason's.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
And and you will because producer Riley is holding on
to a generous gift card from Mason's in Quincy. And
off you go, Katie. Do not hang up.

Speaker 9 (31:14):
I will not hang up, I promise, Okay, I'll drop
it off.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
My way home to her.

Speaker 14 (31:22):
Katie.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
You gotta know something if when he's dropping it off,
you're taking her, give me something. Jimmy wants some you
know that. I'm just saying, Jimmy, good to see you, buddy.
Congratulations on Mason's And I think I'll go right down
the street to Fuji for lunch today, if you absolutely
all right? That's what we call the big food drop

(31:43):
on the Billion Lisa Morning Show.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Yeah, it is talk back Leftovers next.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Billy and Lisa all Morning, justin let's get the talk
back leftovers in. Let's do it now.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Yeah, real quick.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Here, I'm watching Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco and Drew Barrymore.
And you know how she's a close closet talker. They're
on either side of her. It's like her dream Drew
very and she's just right up close to Selena and
Bennie and then she.

Speaker 9 (32:05):
Holds their hands.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah, it's really weird.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
People like it weird.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
And her expressions she's like on the verge of crying
at every topic.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Yeah, it's so funny. Anyway, leftover, Hey, guys.

Speaker 10 (32:16):
That's there. Six am. I am currently at Boston Sugan
Airport at Gate twenty two. How did you fort my Florida.
We are going to head to our house on Venice,
shark tooth capital of the world. I'm when my six child,
his name is Sorrenda, say hi.

Speaker 12 (32:34):
Hey, y.

Speaker 10 (32:37):
And if I have any airline news stories, you know,
I'm sending them your way.

Speaker 9 (32:41):
Have a good day.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yes, please do any airline news anything that happens in
your life, good, bad, indifferent, send it on the talk back.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Did she say that she was going to the shark
tooth capital of the world.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
I didn't know that.

Speaker 9 (32:53):
Did they just find them on the beach?

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I guess in Fort Myers.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Yeah, she said Venice Beach.

Speaker 6 (32:59):
Yeah, that's so you have flying too, what Myers?

Speaker 8 (33:01):
Then drive?

Speaker 11 (33:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 11 (33:04):
Hypothetically speaking, what if you were on your second week
of training at a new job and you make it
halfway to the office in quinsy, realizing that you have
to turn around to get your.

Speaker 9 (33:12):
Laptop you left at home.

Speaker 6 (33:14):
Are you going to tell your boss that your late
because you're forgetful?

Speaker 7 (33:17):
Are you going to tell your boss you're late because
it was an accident and there's traffic. Are you gonna
be honest or what are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (33:24):
I have to say, be honest, because anyone that uses
traffic as an excuse, I think is so lame because
there's always traffic, right, true.

Speaker 9 (33:34):
Yeah, I would never be honest.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
So come up with another lie or be honest, just
be honest.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
I'd probably say my laptop burst into flames just as
I was leaving the house, and the fire department had
to command get creative. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (33:47):
I feel like not all the time. There's an accent.

Speaker 5 (33:49):
You could lie and say there was like a massive
Oh my god, the car was on the fire inside
of the road.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
But they can check.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
They can't.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
Who's gonna check that.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
They're gonna call Lisa dunnaman and see if there was
an accident.

Speaker 9 (33:59):
I will verify.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Yeah, I know that's what late.

Speaker 13 (34:03):
I can't use it.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
I've tried. I'm my god, I can't say that.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
Yeah. Well, there you go. All right, another birthday shout
out here.

Speaker 11 (34:09):
Good morning, Billy and Lisa in the morning crew.

Speaker 9 (34:12):
This is alert.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Listener Lily calling to wish her lovely, lovely, wonderful husband
Jimmy a very happy fortieth birthday.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
Welcome to the best years of your.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Life, my love, A happy birthday, Jimmy birthday. Jimmy Jimmy
want for his birthday? You think say guesses birthday sex
even better.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
Jimmy got so, Jimmy got so. Jimmy got Jimmy got Jimmy.

Speaker 9 (34:43):
Got That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
That was birth It's been a busy show. Ed Sharon
is gonna be an Ipswich, Massachusetts tomorrow. We'll have details
on that and everything else that happened on this this
morning show. In the wrap up, which we do every
morning at nine. That's not Stay with.

Speaker 12 (35:01):
Us Kids Runway, it's the morning wrap up on Billy
and Lisa in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
Probably the biggest story that we recovered this morning was
Ed Sharon coming to Ipswich tomorrow night. He's shooting a
music video and a pub for his new song. You
can't just show up and get in. You have to
win you a you know you know, and how you
do that is submit an old voice message or an
old video from an old phone because the song is
called old phone, and you send it in via a

(35:29):
phone number.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Hey guys Scott in Portsworth, New Hampshire, I was looking for.

Speaker 11 (35:33):
That number that you were you had on air for
Ed Sheeran in ipswich I couldn't find it on your website.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Could you say it again?

Speaker 8 (35:39):
Please?

Speaker 13 (35:40):
Thank you very.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
Much, absolutely, Scott. It is nine one seven nine nine
four four nine eight.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
There's also a website, the oldphone pub dot com.

Speaker 9 (35:50):
Yes, they set up.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
Yep, so you know, go through your old phones, find
an old voice message, an old video and send it
in and that's all you have to do to win in.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
So you realize how much work had to go behind
the scenes to making this happen. Oh, building a mock pub,
taking over properties, like shooting a video, that's so much work.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
Yeah, he's busy, and you know what, I think this
is only the beginning.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah, this album roll off ed.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
We had a topic time this morning which came from
Winnie who got a car toad at her apartment complex.
It was running for an hour and a half. She
went one time to you know, let them know the
car was running, and then she came back again and
said it was still running on the car got towed.
So that begged the question is when he being a
Karen or not? So that was the whole topic time.

Speaker 8 (36:30):
I become the biggest Karen in the airport when everybody's
standing in line to board the plane as they're calling zones,
and then you have the people hovering on the side
of the line, and then as soon as they call
their zone, they merge in and cut everybody that's been
waiting in line. It is so annoying. My daughter literally

(36:51):
won't stand near me in the airport because she gets
so embarrassed when I call people out for cutting.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (36:56):
Yeah, that's one of my pet peeves in life, the
airport or the people are standing in the way knowing
that they're not going to be called for a while.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Can I just add something to this conversation because I
just took about ten flights last week. Yeah, you know
the zone thing, It is not connected to where your
seat is. It doesn't matter if you paid extra to
be sitting in the front of the plane.

Speaker 9 (37:16):
It has no connection.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
You have to download the app of the airline you're
and that's it's connected to your status the zone. I'm
telling you, So if you book with Expedia, you're going
to be in zone nine.

Speaker 9 (37:28):
No, I'm telling you no. It's like I really researched it.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
So you were kind of a Karen on this.

Speaker 2 (37:34):
No, because I thought it was always based on where
you were on the plane.

Speaker 4 (37:37):
I didn't know that, and I asked.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
I asked a guy in the airline. He said, no,
it's your status, So just a little FYI.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Okay, okay, thank you, Lisa.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Also, this morning we talked about chickens that were getting
chickens at my house. My wife ordered some baby chicks
which are going to get picked up in the coming days.

Speaker 17 (37:53):
Good morning, Winnie, Lisa, Billy, Justin. I was just listening
to Justin's story about chicks related to his hesitation to
go down this path. My daughter brought home six chicks
during COVID in twenty twenty, and I discovered how hot
it is to take care of them. I had to
build a coop, I had to clean and care for them.

(38:14):
Past forward five years, I still am raising chickens, and
I'm affectually no as chicken dove.

Speaker 9 (38:22):
That's cute, chicken guy.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Maybe I'll be the chicken guy.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
This is going to be your summer nightmare.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
I know, do chicken smell in the summer, Like, does
that whole area smell because it's so hot?

Speaker 4 (38:33):
Chicken a lot?

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yeah, chicken poop.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
That's all I do is that's the cleaning part. Is
the poop.

Speaker 9 (38:38):
Do they make a lot of noise?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
I asked that too.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
They're going to be behind my garage, so and hopefully
it'll be okay six weeks though in the garage, whether
it be incubating.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Now, call me crazy. I've been to your home and
you have a giant open area that leads into the wild. Yes, right,
And so the chickens are going to be out there alone?

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Will they be in the coop which has to be enclosed.

Speaker 6 (39:01):
I'm telling you there's gonna be something. We're opening that
chicken coop. You don't latch it on one.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Night, somebody able is going to go in and go
for around with the chickens and leave the door on
the last.

Speaker 9 (39:13):
Yeah, there's gonna be a coyote incident and then.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
There's going to be nothing but feathers.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
God forbid, right, just feather I know you, I know you.

Speaker 9 (39:20):
There's going to be answer.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
Love that for the show.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
So anyway, Also this morning during our Weird Stories, I
talked about Mark Morrison return of the Mac Song getting
arrested there and and Lisa thought it was somebody else,
not Mark Morrison.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
Shout out to Lisa for calling out Mark Morrison. The Kattoons.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Oh, how I
wish they were still around.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Well.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Mark was so talented. His band was extremely popular in
the New England area. He ended up being one of
the original investors in Tavern and the Square.

Speaker 6 (39:52):
Oh really yeah, that's more iconic to me than his music.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
Wow, I have some good news for you guys.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
Okay, Mark Morris and the Catoons going to be at
Florian Hall in Boston on April twenty sixth.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
You're kidding me, see I would go see market.

Speaker 5 (40:06):
Still that's amazing, ye, Billy, you're gonna go to Dorchester absolutely,
the Firefighter Hall.

Speaker 4 (40:15):
Yes, some things just go together.

Speaker 1 (40:20):
