a contest going on that I think is one of
the best contests we've ever had, and it's all about
the preset, right justin.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Yeah, we talk a lot about this new preset feature
on the iHeart app.
Speaker 5 (00:38):
Now here's the thing.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
You can set kiss as your number one preset in
your car, which we would appreciate if you did that.
But on the app, on the iHeart app, which is
free to download, one of the new features that we
love is you can make kiss your number one preset.
So when you're listening to Kiss one to wait on
the app at the top, it just says make it
your preset, so you just press the button boom, so
on your home screen. You can find us easily, so
(01:00):
you can make Kiss number one, the billion Lisa Show,
Podcast number two, Lisa's book Club Podcast.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
After Show, all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Okay, So in honor of that, we thought we'd do
a cool contest. Okay, So if you make kiss one,
await your number one preset, take a screenshot of it,
Go to kiss oneweight dot com slash preset.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
That's it, upload that screenshot.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
One lucky person we'll win a trip to see either
Gracie Abrams in LA or New Kids in Vegas.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
You get to.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
Choose your trip. It's crazy, crazy, and this isn't like
a big national con.
Speaker 6 (01:33):
This is here, This is just our house.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Here is going to win one of these trips and
that's all you have to do. So I think it's
important to kind of get that messaging out to people.
The New Kids in Vegas or Gracie in LA, both
huge shows.
Speaker 7 (01:46):
And this is so easy to do. Yeah, to get
in on this contest.
Speaker 8 (01:49):
Yeah, literally, it takes I don't know, like three seconds.
We have the app or don't download it, and then
just go to kiss one to wait, like search it
and then there's a button preset and then that's.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
It so easy to do. Can do what you can
do really cost to did it right?
Speaker 8 (02:02):
Like, I'm not kidding.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
It was already showed me on his app.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
I'm like, oh my already, So do I qualify?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
But these are two huge shows?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Yeah, either one of them is a serious flyaway. Yeah,
do you understand what we're saying. We're flying you to
one of these shows, either Gracie Abrams or The New Kids.
And all you have to do is take a screenshot
showing that you've got us or Kiss as the number
one preset.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
Yep, Kiss went Away dot com slash preset And I
have to give a shout out to listener at Mackenzie.
She's the one that messaged me and in Your Entertainment,
we played a clip of Grant the Bachelor, yeah, mentioning
Mikey and she's the one that found it and heard
it and sent it to me. So she sent me
kind of a video she took of the podcast and
when I clicked it, I could see her whole her
screen and it said preset for Kiss went Away.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
She enters the contact, she can enter, she can enter, and.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
She should tell her friends to enter.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Yeah. Yeah, and you know I mean listen.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
We appreciate at everybody listening, and it's just an easier
way to get us every single morning.
Speaker 8 (03:04):
Yes, you know, and what a way to say thank
you with a trip to either Vegas or LA.
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Just all we ask is that you think of us
when you're sitting at the show in LA.
Speaker 5 (03:12):
Or Vegas, send us a talk back.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yeah, yeah, okay, who would Which one would you pick?
Speaker 7 (03:18):
I would want to see Gracy Abrams in LA because
I haven't seen Gracie Abrams, so that's that's definitely my
number one.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
I would like Gracie in LA. But the New Kids
would never speak to me again.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
You'd have to kid.
Speaker 8 (03:33):
I've seen the New Kids so many times, but I
don't I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
It's hard because.
Speaker 8 (03:39):
They both like, you have a new, up and coming
artist who's huge, and then you have an iconic Boston
band Like I.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Don't know, it's tough. I know, I've seen the New
Kids several times.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, but Vegas is really fun, so I know.
Speaker 5 (03:52):
I remember the last time they were in Boston. Remember
we all went as a show.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Oh yeah, and while they were performing, we were the
whole show was kind of on the side and once
each of them real highed that Billy was in the audience.
They kept in the middle of a performers looking over
at Bill and they just stopped singing and wave.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
They were pointing at him. And then Joey McIntyre the
next day, he was on his bike and went by
your boat.
Speaker 6 (04:12):
Oh that's right. That was a funny segment.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
That was a nice visit.
Speaker 6 (04:16):
Yeah, I had no warning.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
He texted me on his way said Hey, I'm leaving
the garden on my bike.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
I'm coming by the boat.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
Is that okay?
Speaker 6 (04:22):
I said, come on over, I'll make the coffee.
Speaker 5 (04:24):
Yeah, so cool. I remember you send me a picture
of him on your boat. Yeah what crazy?
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Anyway, kis whenawait dot com slash preset, making your preset,
make your number one preset, take a screenshot, upload it
and win a trip.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Good morning, it's producer Riley and for Justin again, and
let's keep counting down the top five moments from this week.
If you missed this one, let me fill you in
for a second. So before the show went on vacation
last week, we had our very own Love Is Blind
rejects on the show and set up two people, Tiffany
and Matt and spoiler alert, it didn't go as well
(04:54):
as we hoped. But this is number four where we
check in with Tiffany.
Speaker 6 (04:58):
Good morning, Tiffany, How are you good, Tiffany?
Speaker 3 (05:02):
So to set the record straight, we sent you and
Matt to a dinner at Davio's in the back bay.
Before we get to you and Matt, how was the food?
How was the experience at Davio's.
Speaker 9 (05:15):
It was incredible, the food, the cocktails, everything was amazing.
It was the Titanic inspired menu, which was pretty cool
because they Yeah, so it was cool. It was like
a prefixed menu, so got to get an appetizer, dinner,
and dessert.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Okay, So, but it didn't work out as well for
the two of you as it did on board the
Titanic and in the movie, right, it did not.
Speaker 9 (05:39):
It was the date was kind of like the sinking
ship there.
Speaker 6 (05:42):
Okay, so walk us through it.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
So you sit down at davio as you're meeting Matt
for the first time. I mean, love is blind, right,
So how'd it go?
Speaker 9 (05:52):
It was okay, I think, right, I think a couple
of minutes in when we started having conversations, I just
I didn't really fail a romantic connection. There. I don't
think we're compatible in our values, and we definitely had
different view points on a lot of topics.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Well, give us a couple of examples.
Speaker 9 (06:13):
I like to talk about light, casual things on a
first date, and there were just a lot of heavy
conversations that sometimes I was left a little speechless, like,
I don't know, I just don't want to talk about
those things on a first date. I want to get
to know, like what's your favorite color, do you have
a family, do you what do you like to do?
Speaker 6 (06:31):
Yeah? Yeah, what were the heavy things? He was talking about?
Speaker 5 (06:33):
Politics?
Speaker 9 (06:34):
Probably politics?
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Initial thing on the.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
End, Oh, never never go there. He did that right away.
Speaker 9 (06:45):
It was a lot of conversations about that.
Speaker 10 (06:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (06:48):
So I mean, like I said, I didn't want to
talk about those heavy things on a first date. But
you know, there's someone for everyone. It just he just
wasn't for me.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Now, I was also told by a little bird that
you did get a follow up call from Matt.
Speaker 9 (07:02):
I did. He asked me to go get another drink,
and I politely declined, you know what?
Speaker 6 (07:09):
She said, no?
Speaker 7 (07:14):
After the date was over, How did you guys leave off?
Speaker 9 (07:20):
I gave a little side hug and ran into my
Uber and started calling my friends.
Speaker 5 (07:27):
In the group chat.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
It's like that commercial you see on TV when they're
on a first date and the guy's talking about how
he's an air drummer and all kinds of stupid things,
and the woman's calling Uber from under the table and
then leaves.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
He never want a side hug?
Speaker 6 (07:40):
Yeah, I know, a side hug.
Speaker 10 (07:41):
No.
Speaker 8 (07:42):
I had got the opportunity to talk with Tiffany last
week and to give you guys an idea of how
it really went. She said to me, who's paying for
my therapy session after this date? So we obviously we
didn't get to vet him, so you know.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
She got to do that for us.
Speaker 5 (07:57):
And blind date.
Speaker 6 (07:58):
It was blind date.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
I was blind.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
I got it. Ask you this, Tiffany.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Okay, now I know I happened to know that the
dinner was paid for in advance. If it hadn't been,
how do you think he would have dealt with the bill?
Speaker 9 (08:12):
Well, we actually talked about this. I think that I'm
hoping he would have paid. It seems like, depending on
my political views, he either would have split or he
would have paid.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Okay, were you when you saw him? Were you attracted
to him.
Speaker 9 (08:29):
Yeah, yeah, he's Yeah, he looked like he was definitely
my type, like tall, dark features.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
So I was.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Like, yeah, he's but a little too serious for.
Speaker 9 (08:42):
You, Yeah, a little too serious. I just like someone to,
you know, more match my energy and just just have fun,
someone that I can have a conversation with without being interrogated.
Speaker 6 (08:53):
Yeah, so you're saying bad energy.
Speaker 9 (08:55):
Yeah, I just I'm more like upbeating casual and I
don't take a lot seriously right.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Off the bat, And if you don't mind my asking,
Tiffany off the Titanic menu, what did you order?
Speaker 6 (09:06):
A Dabia's.
Speaker 9 (09:08):
So I got the Iceberg salad, which the manager came over.
He was really excited about that idea because he was like,
do you get it?
Speaker 11 (09:15):
The iceberg?
Speaker 9 (09:22):
Mac got? So I ordered, and then Matt said, I'll
have the opposite of everything she's having he got.
Speaker 8 (09:33):
Okay, wait, Tivvy, you had to tell him his exact order.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
Yeah, okay, so he got So I got a dirty martini,
I got the Iceberg salad, I got the short rib
They're so good, and I forget what I got for dessert,
like the Alaskan something bad?
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Ask?
Speaker 6 (09:57):
Yeah, yeah, you go girl, It was delicious.
Speaker 9 (10:01):
You know, I was making the most out of it.
I was like, this is a night out totally.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (10:05):
So he got some sort of peppermint mocha martini and
then he got lobster biff samon.
Speaker 8 (10:15):
And peppermint martin pepercha martini. Oh Matt, Okay, Well if.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
That doesn't say let's have some fun, well, I gotta say, Tiffany,
Tiffany sounds like a really fun Tiffany.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Maybe we would have to do it again with you.
Speaker 9 (10:34):
I know, you know I Matt wasn't the one for me,
but maybe your show can help me find my forever.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Man, We're gonna do our best, Okay, But Tiffany, great job.
Speaker 6 (10:42):
Thank you for very much for playing a lot, and
thank you to Matt too.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Hey, guys, welcome back. It's producer Riley and for Justin.
So you heard from Tiffany. You might have your own
opinions forming on Matt. Let's hear from him. Now this
is number three.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
Good morning, Matt, Hey, good morning.
Speaker 12 (10:58):
How you doing, Buddy joyed yourself?
Speaker 6 (11:00):
We're doing good. So you went out to Davios with Tiffany.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
You may for Tiffany on the show a little bit
earlier because you actively called us. We would have called
you anyway, Matt, But anyway, tell us about your experience
at Davios.
Speaker 12 (11:16):
Yeah, I had a great experience. I figured I'd just
call in just to maybe point out some inconsistencies or
kind of give my rebuttal on the table. I feel
like it was misrepresented.
Speaker 6 (11:26):
Okay, let's go.
Speaker 12 (11:29):
So she was right. We definitely had a conversation and
of this a lot of topics political, politically related. But
we first sat down, one of the first things she
said to me was you're a Republican, right, and kind
of couped me off guard. But I was like, yeah, sure,
why And then she decided to go into all these
political topics.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Oh.
Speaker 12 (11:50):
It wasn't like I sat down and was like, oh,
we need to talk about all this political stuff. She
brought it up and then we talked about all this
stuff and we kind of agreed on almost every but she.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Opened the political door, and that's usually a bad conversation
on a first date.
Speaker 12 (12:06):
Well, I don't have a problem with talking about politics.
I mean, if you're looking at data one seriously, I
think it's important that your values kind of aligned. So
I have no issues about it as soon as possible.
I think it's a good idea actually.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
So okay, So in the middle of the date, how
did you feel you feel things were going?
Speaker 6 (12:23):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (12:23):
Matt?
Speaker 12 (12:25):
Yeah, Again, like I said, we were talking about politics
and all of our views are totally in alignment. I
wouldn't have asked someone out on a second date if
I didn't feel like we aligned with some of those
morals and values.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Well but well, but.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
So you're correcting saying that she brought it up. You didn't.
Speaker 12 (12:43):
She When we first sat down, she said you're a Republican, right,
and I said yes, And then that's kind of where
it went from there.
Speaker 8 (12:49):
But my question is, Matt, so she as you heard
her say, she said, you guys didn't align. So what
do you think you misaligned on? Since you're saying that
you thought you did align.
Speaker 12 (12:59):
The one thing that seems to be hung up on
was like who should pay for the first date?
Speaker 5 (13:05):
Oh, what's your take on that?
Speaker 12 (13:08):
Yeah, I'll get so this is my perspective. And then
I think we agreed on this. Which is why it's confusing,
is that I feel like if the woman is more
of a feminist or more egalitarian or believes in gender
equality that there should be no issues with her suppliment date,
as that feels pretty equal. But if you're a woman
who is more traditional conservative, or you believe in gender roles,
(13:30):
then I think it's fair to expect the man to
pay for the first date. And since she fell under
the ladder, I was obviously going to pay for the date,
even though it wasn't the whole date. I only paid
for the tip.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Yeah, yeah, Oh, so you picked up the tip.
Speaker 12 (13:43):
I picked up a tip, and I feel like that
position is pretty logical. I don't feel like it's inconsistent.
I feel like maybe some people would disagree with it,
but I feel like it's logically.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
Consistent and you're entitled to that.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Well, luckily the tab was paid by us or by
Davia that that didn't have to be an issue.
Speaker 6 (14:03):
So you okay, all right, okay? Are you a generous tipper? Matt?
Speaker 12 (14:11):
I always leave a minimum twenty percent and they were
great service.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
So there you go. So you did call her back
right after the date?
Speaker 12 (14:19):
Oh I didn't call. I sent a text saying, hey,
did you want to grab a drink again? Which I
would never have done if it was someone I didn't
align with politically, So I don't know that I must
point to something.
Speaker 7 (14:28):
So so when you left the date, you thought things
went well enough for you to ask for a second date.
Speaker 12 (14:35):
It was worth the shot for sure. Again, I would
never have done that if you weren't in agreement on
so many topics.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Yeah, all right, Okay, this is interesting they've had.
Speaker 8 (14:43):
Obviously they have two viewpoints of how the night went,
and there was something that was off for her, But
he said thinks that they were more aligned than she's
letting us.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (14:52):
No, I don't know if maybe it wasn't politics that
you were off on, maybe it was something else.
Speaker 6 (14:56):
Well, you know, Matt, you're still going to find love somewhere.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
Back to the drawm board.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
Back to the drawing board, as they say.
Speaker 12 (15:02):
Oh and about the dinner part, like kind of made
it a point of contention that I ordered the opposite
of what she ordered. I literally only did that so
that we could each try one of each thing.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
I love that. That's a good suggestion.
Speaker 8 (15:15):
It's a peppermint mocha, Martine threw us off on.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Yeah, not the is that your go to drink?
Speaker 10 (15:21):
No?
Speaker 12 (15:21):
But it was on the menu and it was delicious.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Special Again, now everything's been explained. Yeah, this is it
makes sense.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
Matt. We're so glad you called.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
Thank you so much, and who knows, maybe we'll continue
this whole idea of love is blind and date nights
and everything, and but the topic is bad first dates.
So what have we got winning?
Speaker 5 (15:40):
We'll keep with the phones, will go to stuff.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
I know I make so many talk.
Speaker 7 (15:43):
As I'm kind of glad that we had Matt on.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
He really filled in the gaps.
Speaker 5 (15:48):
Well, there's two sides to every story.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Well right now, but the Martini thing, it was on
the menu.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
Let's be sorry.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
There's three sides, hers, his and the truth.
Speaker 6 (15:56):
There's something that both of them.
Speaker 8 (15:57):
There's there's truth in the middle of both of them.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Like I did like Matt's point that he wouldn't have
called her back if they didn't a lie, if he
did feel like the date went well.
Speaker 8 (16:07):
It seems as though she does lean more one way,
but isn't comfortable letting us know that, which is fine
us known that, But then that might not necessarily be
what was off about it. It could have been other things.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Just a couple of Republicans on a bad date.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Hey, guys, welcome back. It's producer Riley in for Justin.
We're gonna keep counting down the top five moments of
the week. We're already at number two, which is crazy.
This hour is flying by, and we spent a good
portion of the week talking about the Bachelor because we
finally found out who won. Juliana from Newton and mikey
Vee was actually hanging out with them, so we heard
(16:42):
from him.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
This is number two.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
So, Mikey, what is your connection to Grant and Juliana.
Is it Juliana that's friends of yours?
Speaker 7 (16:51):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (16:51):
Yes, Juliana is very good friends of mine. Her whole
fan that I'm very close with. Also, her sister Dominique
was my wife Kelsey native honor at our wedding a
couple months ago.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Now, oh, so I gotta know, Okay, I gotta know. So,
did you, as a really good friend of Juliana, did
you know well in advance she was going to win?
Speaker 10 (17:13):
I don't think I knew one hundred Anybody could get
the vibe that she wasn't around as long as some
of the losers were around, so she was definitely gone
from home longer than others.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah, all I know is we're thrilled you're sober enough
to call in this morning, because we off the air yesterday,
like early in the morning, before we even went on
the air, and we had Mikey on the phone, and
you at the time were still at the after party
in La right.
Speaker 10 (17:40):
Well, no, at that point we were back at our airbnb.
And but another true and funny story about that is
I was trying to stay awake for your shows. I
was like laying them a couch, and like when I
was trying to stay awake laying them a couch. Next
to me was Grant. So I give him a lot
of props because they got up and did all kinds
of interviews the next morning. Sow of applause to them
(18:00):
for getting out of bed, because I clear we didn't
do that very well.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
Yeah, because there was one point in the phone conversation
yesterday off the air where we asked you a question
and you had to ask Grant, and we could hear
Grant answering the question in the distance. I think he
was lying down, like you said, on the couch, and
you were so hammered you just said, yeah, whatever.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
I don't know, he said, I'm really hammered.
Speaker 10 (18:27):
A long and quick trip. So uh, there was not
a lot of like rittandom downtime. It was either drinking
my hand or I DJed the after parties and DJing now.
And besides that, it was a little glory with a
lot of fun.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
So were you at the show too?
Speaker 10 (18:43):
No, not the live taping? Obviously, Giuliano was there, Juanna's
parents were there, and Dominique her sister, were there. But no,
I was not the live tape. We were all hanging
out there be kind of just like quietly watched.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
So were there other contestants from the show? Did they
come by the party?
Speaker 10 (19:00):
Yeah, I mean a lot of the other contestants and
a lot of like former contestants.
Speaker 6 (19:05):
I bet the loser of the runner up, I bet
she wasn't there.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
Oh, Letia.
Speaker 10 (19:09):
No, yeah, I mean you can probably guess that yourself.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
I'll let you actually know. I want to ask you
for real? Is that real? Like Latia? Was she really upset?
Was she really expecting to be chosen?
Speaker 11 (19:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (19:24):
No, I think it is real. I think we kind
of all forget, even I forget watching the show in
the years past. Yeah, but I've a close grid on
it that these are real humans with real feelings and
real emotions and real friends and real sisters, and it
isn't the easiest process and even seeing them all go
through it, it's a very tough scenario. But yeah, I
would say it's very real, a lot of real emotions,
(19:46):
and you got to applaud in the contestants and applaud
Juliana for being able to put yourself.
Speaker 7 (19:51):
Yeah, so what's going to happen with Grant and Juliana?
Are they moving to Boston?
Speaker 10 (19:56):
Yeah? It does actually seem that they be moving this
way and are in their life and really getting to
know each other even better. And uh, they said just
yesterday an interview that you know they're taking it so long,
they're not going to rush into marriage and and to
be honest, like that's probably a smart thing, right, like
you kind of are just starting a relationship yesterday.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Okay, So Mikey, I got to know this, okay because
I love them behind the scenes stuff. So you're really
tight with Juliana and everything, and now you're best friends
with Grant. I mean I think the two of you
shared a couch for a slumber party. So like, as
honest just as you can be, do you see this
working with Grant and Juliana.
Speaker 10 (20:35):
I really do, and I'm not just saying that, Like
even just being around them for forty eight hours, like
they seem like a great match. They seem truly in love,
and I think now it's just you know, their opportunity
to actually live life together and start to like have
normal relationship experiences. You got to imagine they fell in
love or at each other a show then couldn't talk
or be around to them for a long time. So
(20:56):
it's like they were both excited to spend time together
and send time with each other's family.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
So are you and your wife, Kelsey, are you going
to be invited to Juliana's family barbecues and stuff in Newton?
Speaker 10 (21:07):
Oh? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (21:08):
I mean is so cool?
Speaker 10 (21:10):
Is a Newton legend. They have a really cool, back,
really nice pool. I actually call it the it was
on Hometowns, but they call it the Gorilla Bar. And
that's kind of like the back of that pool gone
through for years.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
It fun.
Speaker 10 (21:23):
That was not a fake show situation either. They have
one of the coolest family to ever even just yesterday
talking to her mom on the way back in the plane.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Actually, that was one of my favorite parts of the season.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
When they went to the House of Newton and they
were having the party out back, it really seemed like.
Speaker 10 (21:38):
A solid Yeah, they are a tight knit family, but
I feel like you need that to go through an
experience like the Bachelor, because you need to have a
really good support system.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Well, when they get settled, we need to have them
come in.
Speaker 10 (21:50):
Yeah, we definitely don't set it all up for sure.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Yeah, to be perfectly honest, Mikeye, that's the only reason
we're talking.
Speaker 6 (21:56):
Yeah, that's that.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
We're just trying to make sure we get a slot
for them to come into the billion Lisa Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (22:02):
Justin you had your handmade.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
That's what I was gonna ask. Oh, that's what we
wanted to know. Mikey. Can you set it up and
let us know when you can bring them in.
Speaker 10 (22:09):
Yes, I will get all that immediately for us.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Well, welcome back home, Mikey, and I'm glad you survived
the slumber Party.
Speaker 6 (22:16):
Thank you so much, great great work. We're all very
proud of you. That's a great thing. You just did,
a very cool thing in the industry.
Speaker 10 (22:23):
Yes, I love it. I appreciate you guys calling in.
I'm happy to look up today. We're sluss in for
one night. I mean, gee, Justin call it ten times
this morning again.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Hey guys, it's producer Riley from The Billy and Lisa
in the Morning Show. If you don't recognize my voice,
it's because I'm a little bit behind the scenes helping
Justin out anyway I can. But we are counting down
the top five moments of the week, and we are
finally here. Number one, our very own Lisa Donovan got
a big surprise in the studio from somebody very special.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
We have our old friend Anissa Sabbi George in studio
with us.
Speaker 6 (22:56):
Good morning, and welcome back to the show.
Speaker 11 (22:58):
Good morning, so happy to be here.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
Happy to have you.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
So you ran for mayor of Boston and you were
president of a Big Sister and now Big Sister has
merged with the Big Big Brother Big Sister.
Speaker 11 (23:13):
Big Brother's Big Sisters of Eastern mass Yeah.
Speaker 6 (23:15):
And I said this was going to be a feel
good story.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
And interestingly, the minute that I started introducing you, Whennie
opened the shades and the sun came in.
Speaker 6 (23:26):
Let's bringing the light. It's not raining today, bringing the light.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Okay, So now the merger with Big Brother Big Sister, right, okay,
And for some reason you walked in studio this morning
and again, great to see you, and it's always a pleasure.
But you came in with a couple of floral arrangements
that are, by the way, beautiful.
Speaker 6 (23:47):
What's going on?
Speaker 11 (23:48):
Nothing since spring like flowers? And I am here today
these flowers, three bouquets.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Is this an announcement?
Speaker 6 (23:56):
Hold on, it's just going to be breaking news, someone
else breaking news.
Speaker 11 (24:00):
It is big, big announcement, breaking.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
News, So bouquets of flowers. What's going on?
Speaker 11 (24:07):
I'm a big believer in women's empowerment, girls empowerment. That's
big sister, that's big brothers, big sisters, now merge. I
am also a former club member of Boys and Girls
Club of Dorchester and I have the privilege in the
honor of charing this year's New England Women's Leadership Award
and the ceremony is happening in May, and I bring
(24:28):
flowers to announce you guys bring good news to us.
Every morning we try to.
Speaker 6 (24:36):
Well good news.
Speaker 11 (24:37):
Weird story, yeah, weird, yeah, sometimes too weird. So I'm
here bringing flowers. Flowers are for Winny, for Riley, because
every woman deserves Thank you, but I'm here to announce
that your own, our collective own Lisa Dunovan will be
receiving Anula Award this year for the Boys and Girls
(24:58):
Clubs of Dorchester. She is she is more than just
the woman of the Year.
Speaker 7 (25:07):
But flowersfully, I've never won anything.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
Well, you're winning.
Speaker 7 (25:16):
Your life is insane.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Hello, Why why did you guys choose to make it?
Speaker 6 (25:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (25:29):
Crazy?
Speaker 11 (25:30):
And I'm so excited to be a part of Doulah
this year as a former club member. But when we
think about the message that we're looking to send to
the girls and young women of the club, but the
girls and young women of everywhere, it is about leadership.
It is about embracing womanhood and the sisterhood. But it's
also about all you do to lift up the women
(25:52):
around you every single day here in the studio, but
through the book club, through the way that you're engaging
in recognize others and making an impact in everyone's life.
So I am thrilled to be bringing Flowers. I'm thrilled
to be on this journey alongside you and everyone else.
It's really cool.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
I love this. I don't even know what to say.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Do you have an exception?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Some time is there a gal.
Speaker 11 (26:19):
There's a big galla in May, May thirteenth. I hope
that you're well. We'll make sure to post all of
this as we we go public with uh you receiving
this award. We'll be sharing it far and wide. You'll
have an opportunity to come to the club you can.
You'll probably end up at some point in the gymnasium.
And when I was asked to share this event, I
(26:40):
was over the moon just for sharing it, which means
I get to do things like this. But I thought
about my seven year old self in that gin playing
low rim hoop, and the impact that that club has
had on my life, on my children's lives, on my
brother and my sisters. It's it's quite the place.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
You're right, the work that they do day in and
day out with their staff, and all the kids that
get to enjoy going there.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
