Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, So welcome back. Big buzz story this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
There are four Beatles movies made, four separate movies on
four separate members of the Beatles.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
So justin we've got the movie nerds. That's all go
to the lobby, wiz.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Everying I can tell you is you got to be free.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Come together now, all the met movie nerd Mark you there,
I'm here. That's you get a bigger intro every time
you come on.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Mark, I know thet Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
So is this a big story in your world, because
it's definitely a buzz story in ours.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's a huge story. And uh, just just.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
So everyone knows sort of what's happening this week. Uh,
every spring there's something called CinemaCon. It's in vague and
all the big movie studios present the new slates that's
coming up, and then they make announcements to the theater
owners you know, across the country. So the big news
is Sony did just announce that they are going to
(01:14):
embark on the production of the Beatles, which is going
to be four Beatles movies. They start shooting.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
It looks like this.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Summer in London and they're going to be shooting for
over a year and a half, and each movie is
going to focus on each individual Beatles. So Paul will
have his movie George Ringo and then John and then
they're going to release those movies all together in April
twenty twenty eight, that which has never been done before.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
And the big part of the movie project is the
people who are playing the Beatles.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Right lese exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
I mean, you've got Gladiator two Alom, You've got Joseph
Quinn and Paul Mescal coming back together again, and then
Barry Kyogan is playing Ringo, I mean, and then Harris.
I was telling Billy Harris Dickinson he's playing John Lennon
and we didn't play some and then I'm like, oh
my god.
Speaker 6 (02:05):
He was in Baby Girl with Nicole Kidney.
Speaker 7 (02:07):
Girl.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
Yeah, most recently.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
The Girl, Yeah exactly exactly.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
So yeah, they're all up and comers. I mean, some are.
Speaker 7 (02:13):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:13):
Barry made a big last with Saltbourne a couple of
years ago. We set a lot of him in that.
But and Jesseic Quinn has got the Fantastic Four movie
coming out, so they're all on the rise, you know.
And I think what's going to be interesting is again
how they're gonna, you know, create for individual movie. Sam
Mendas is directing. He directed Skyfall Specter. If you're a
(02:38):
Bond fan, he directed the movie nineteen seventeen. So he's
directing these four movies and you know, each will tell
the individual story, but then they'll all connect so it
makes sort of one but you know, bigger picture story.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
From your standpoint though, working for Showcase, is this like
a really big deal because it will get people just
back to the movies again, and it's like like a
superhero sort of Marvel, you know.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
Yeah, exactly, we see. Yeah, you know, it's been a
tough winter. I'm just gonna say, we need people coming
back to the movies, and we've got some big ones
coming up, you know, Mission Impossible and How to Train
the Dragon and the New Superman and so there's a
lot coming. And then we're going to end the year
with Avatar and Wicket for Good. So I think we're
going to end in a good note. But this winter's
(03:25):
been tough, and I think the challenge for all of
us as theater owners and then the filmmakers is you
need to create new content, news stories, and then we
need to present them in different ways. So the way
they're talking about this Beatles, you know, the four movies
in April is like the first bingeable theatrical experience. How
(03:48):
we think about the month of April in twenty It
sounds like a long ways away.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
But it will be here before we know it. You know,
the entire month is.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Going to be about the Beatles, you know, and then
I can see marathons and people saying, oh movie, you know,
I see it being a really big deal.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I was just going to ask you, how do you
see it playing out in the movie theater with all
four movies popping at the same time.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I think what they're going to do is one week
it'll be you know, the first movie, the second, the third,
and then I do think we'll have marathons of people
wanting I mean, when you think about it, they're each
going to be probably two hours, so that's a long marit.
But we've done that before, you know, we've done like
Lisa to your point, we've done it for Marvel, We've
done it with the Star Wars movie.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
So I think this.
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Is a new way to do all of that and
to kind of bring a new ip based on you know,
a classic you know, obviously the Beatles and A and
A you know, a story of most people know.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
And I heard growing up or learned.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
I heard that this is the first time they'll have
full access to the entire Beatles catalog too.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
M Yeah, which is amazing. And when you think about,
you want to see a movie like a concert in
you know, and we've done that, you know, with Taylor Swift,
and you know, we've done that with you know, certain artists,
and I think there'll be more of that as well,
that kind of you're at the concert experience, and I
think they'll definitely be that element to these movies.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I'm excited.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
I love that it's a new way to think about this,
in a new creative way to distribute a movie.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
So you think some people will come and sit eight
hours in the theater watching all four movies?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I do?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Wow, I do?
Speaker 3 (05:19):
I really do.
Speaker 6 (05:20):
Do you think that young people will embrace this too?
Speaker 8 (05:24):
I do?
Speaker 4 (05:26):
And I think I think the studio is going to
work hard, and I think that's up to us as
well as to start. You know, we just announced this.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
We got these these hot young actors.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
You know, playing these big roles. So there's that and
they've all got big social media followings, but I think
it's gonna be about that, you know, telling the story of.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
This as they shoot it.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
It's going to take a year and a half. Like
I said, they even to shoot it. I think they're
going to go one movie at a time and then
they'll probably have a shoot where it connects everything. But
I think there's a lot to talk about as we
lead into as we look forward to April twenty two.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
So yeah, boy, Mark, I'm thinking, you know, the Billy
and Lisa morning Show, Billy and Lisa Nation, we all
get together and spend eight hours one day in the
movie theater.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
The listener is awesome. We just make a day yeah
to the marathon.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Before I let you go, Mark, I want to ask
you from the Winter, what was the hands down winner
of the Winter grossing wise?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Uh, well, I'm gonna say this.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I mean, we're technically Spring, but I do think Minecraft's
going to be the one that opens this weekend, and
that's having the biggest traction in terms of advanced sales.
So I think there's going to be a nice bump
this coming weekend. And we've got some really cool popcorn
vessels and drink toppers and stuff like that that are
limited editions. So I think that's going to be the
big one that's going to start to reignite everything.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I'm sorry, did you say that corn festival?
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Popcorn vessel?
Speaker 9 (06:55):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (06:56):
So you know it's all about like what you put
the popcorn in?
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Oh okay.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
You know the studios that put all these sort of
creative vessels tied to each of these movies. So we've
got a really fun one for Minecraft and then you know,
a fun topper and yeah. So yeah, Minecraft they think
is going to be the one that sort of jumps
start things. But you know we did have you know,
Wicket played well through the winter. Oh yeah, but but yeah,
it's time for some new movies.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
You know what, Mark, you should have a vessel festival.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yeah, exactly, exactly.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I'm just marketing here. I'm just coming up with ideas.
That's what we do with bin short.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
You have been listening exclusively to the billion Lisa Morning
Show the movie Nerd Mark from Showcase Cinema's always a pleasure.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Mark, are you talking to you guys?
Speaker 10 (07:40):
All right, kids went away with a Billy and Lisa's
weird stories.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
All right, we saw this a story this morning.
Speaker 5 (07:47):
I can't believe that a seventy six year old woman
in Pennsylvania is desperately searching for a winning lottery ticket
that's worth two point five million dollars. The problem is
she put the ticket in a pocket of a jack
that she ended up donating to the Vietnam Veterans of
America and it's lost.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
I was stupefuck.
Speaker 10 (08:07):
I was There's no words for it.
Speaker 11 (08:10):
It was like beyond expression. How can I get it back?
Speaker 5 (08:14):
This is so tragic for her, I imagine.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
And she's not well off. Now two point five would
have done wonders for her.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Oh, it makes me sick to my stomach for her
that that this is probably never because I think she
has until like May eighth to find the actual ticket
or it's over.
Speaker 8 (08:34):
So she donated it to so somebody must have gotten
the jacket right and the ticket and the ticket. So
maybe someone sees the story and does the right thing, or.
Speaker 11 (08:43):
They just turned the ticket in as if they bought it.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Oh, it's already been turned in.
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Well, I think she could argue right because they verified
that she did pick, that those numbers were picked at
the location.
Speaker 8 (08:53):
They can Yeah, I bet it hasn't been cash yet.
I bet it's either been thrown away or it's sitting somewhere.
Speaker 11 (09:00):
Verify, she picked the numbers. Why don't they just let
her have the money.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
You need the actual ticket.
Speaker 12 (09:04):
Yeah, that those states are going to make sure that
they don't do that exactly.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
That's somebody that has worried.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Yes, she's very worried.
Speaker 8 (09:13):
She's worried.
Speaker 7 (09:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
So this guy, Michael Stern, he's from Massachusetts. He's hitting
the road. He wants to visit all Major League baseball
parks all over America while he's still got the time
because his liver is failing.
Speaker 13 (09:27):
See in the country and discovering different things and different
people along the way will give me that perspective that
I badly need. And let's face it, I don't know
if I'm going to have the ability in a year
from now to do this trip. Maybe this dream ends
in Chicago, or it ends in Minnesota, or maybe it
does end at the finish line in Massachusetts. I'm certainly
(09:48):
hoping for that.
Speaker 9 (09:49):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Yeah, over the years, I've met a couple of guys
whose dream it was to do just that, travel the
country and go to all the baseball parks.
Speaker 8 (09:56):
Yeah, in NFL stadiums too. Oh yeah, that's another one.
Speaker 11 (09:59):
That cool.
Speaker 12 (10:00):
It's like thirty you know, thirty teams. I've done. My
aunt Winnie, that's been her dream. She's I think she's
almost done. She's done them a lot of them.
Speaker 14 (10:07):
Wait.
Speaker 8 (10:08):
Hold, yeah, didn't when you were a kid. Yeah, this
is the weirdest sense. Winnie. When she was a kid,
her family took family vacations to baseball park.
Speaker 12 (10:16):
Yes, I've been dragged. I'm not a big baseball girly,
but I we did grow up. I grew up during
the best time when it was like Manny and Poppy
and Pedro. So I got to see a lot of
great games. But every summer we took a baseball trip.
So we've done road trips. We went out to the
West Coast. We went to like the Anaheim, we went
to Seattle, we went to Chicago, we went to Wisconsin.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Baseball.
Speaker 12 (10:36):
Yeah, I've been to Tampa, I've been to Baltimore. I've
been to both Ohio, both Pennsylvania. I've been to Milwaukee, Chicago,
both Chicago, Seattle, Uh, Anaheim, San Diego, Padres No.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Yeah, you that big a baseball fan or you just wanted.
Speaker 12 (10:58):
To my mom and my Auntie Winnie. My aunti Winnie
had see it take us to the Red Sox for
the longest time. She's got riten them recently. Yeah, so
that's what we did every summer.
Speaker 15 (11:09):
I had no choice anybody Disney.
Speaker 8 (11:12):
They went to baseball But that's kind of fun.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Yeah, you never you never would have done it on
your own.
Speaker 11 (11:17):
Yeah, and we went to then we do other things
in between, went to Hershey Park.
Speaker 12 (11:20):
We would go to like different other things that are
in the area where we were going. We went to
Disneyland because he went to Anaheim, So yeah, it was
a combination. But we always stopped at a baseball park.
Speaker 15 (11:29):
There you go, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, boys.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
And girls, and welcome to Fenway Barth. There's really nothing
like it.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
It's the best magical at your hot dogs here. Anyway,
we're coming up on the entertainment of the Beatles movies,
four of them. Each of the Beatles gets a movie
that is a big buzz story of this morning. And
we're still talking about The White Lotus because the finale,
I'm told is going to be longer than.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
Ever before this come Sunday night, that and more coming
up next.
Speaker 7 (12:01):
Hanging what up Boston at Shabouzi and you're waking up
with Billy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss one Oi.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
It's a man right there, Shaboozi. How you doing, Shaboozi.
Speaker 11 (12:11):
He's a tall, tall man.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Yeah, he's just a big guy.
Speaker 16 (12:14):
Tall.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Drink of water is yeah, justin squeeze in a talkback. Brother.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
Well, it's book club day. It is my book club
day at the book club.
Speaker 11 (12:22):
Do you with the book club? I'm so excited.
Speaker 17 (12:27):
It's my favorite one.
Speaker 18 (12:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (12:29):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
We have Jeff Benedict, big sports writer tonight.
Speaker 8 (12:33):
Yes, we had him on the show a couple of
weeks ago. It was one of my favorite interviews of
twenty twenty five. Wow, so it's gonna be great. I'll
be watching the stream.
Speaker 20 (12:40):
Oh good.
Speaker 16 (12:41):
I know.
Speaker 12 (12:41):
I feel slated to go, Lisa, but I might have
to make an appearance because that interview really did be
like I do want to hear more.
Speaker 8 (12:46):
You don't usually go just for the food.
Speaker 11 (12:48):
I'm going for Jeff Benedict this time.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
If I do go, all right, Hey, Jeff, how are
you doing?
Speaker 5 (12:54):
If you want to DM me, I have my little
guest list, my Little Private Guest List DM me, A
couple of people did it today?
Speaker 6 (13:00):
Get in on if you want to come tonight.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
It's at the Revere Hotel starting at six from six
to eight with Jeff Benedex.
Speaker 8 (13:05):
Right, all right, let's go to line one here, Risha,
are you going now?
Speaker 6 (13:11):
The entertainment Update with a Billy Gobsad.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
So we're told the White Lotus season finale this coming
Sunday night going to be ninety minutes long.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
That's the longest The Lotus episode ever.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Patrick Schwarzenegger, who played Saxon in season three, was on
Australian TV this week talking about his character and the show.
Speaker 21 (13:29):
He's definitely someone you love to hate. And I think that,
you know, Mike is such a rich and a really
just a genius writer that it's it's it's too early
for people to just say that they kind of hate
this guy. You know, he puts so many levels with
this character, and I think the audience has started to
see that in kind of the turn of episode five,
that he's not exactly who we all thought he was.
(13:50):
And that's one of the themes really about the show
was kind of who really are you? When everything is
stripped away, and Saxon enters the White Lotus as one
person and leaves a completely different Okay, what's that mean?
Speaker 1 (14:02):
What's that mean?
Speaker 16 (14:03):
Well?
Speaker 5 (14:03):
I think I think that was a clue to maybe
he's you know, he's not the one that gets killed.
Speaker 12 (14:08):
He makes it, He makes it through forever change because
his family is dead.
Speaker 11 (14:14):
Is that what you're saying?
Speaker 5 (14:15):
One or well, I have one of his siblings as
my pick for someone who gets Piper.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
And or Lock or Lachlan okay, and Saxon Schwarzenegger is
my pick to get killed.
Speaker 8 (14:26):
Right yeah, So you're the mush You're not gonna win.
Speaker 12 (14:29):
The more I think about it, I think Lisa has
a point because they've been focusing so much on their
random Buddhist like journey for what.
Speaker 8 (14:36):
But I do think what our listener is their prediction
plays into about the gun, you know what I mean,
and guy guy doc with the gun.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
And I think someone gets caught in the crossfire. But
I also think that like Lachlan, he's gotten himself into
some jams, right yeah.
Speaker 16 (14:56):
Right, like.
Speaker 5 (14:59):
Innocent you know, senior in high schools really kind of.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Once you're spanking your own brother. Things have taken a.
Speaker 8 (15:08):
Turn I've had some history well documented with drugs. Never
want that fuck.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
You know that line that she says.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
I found the line in.
Speaker 12 (15:19):
The movie she goes, Oh, No matter how many drugs
I was on, I wouldn't he up my brother like.
Speaker 11 (15:24):
She goes Okay, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
And the mic that Schwarzenegger is talking about in that interview,
all of the cast members were singing his praises. It's
Mike White who is the writer director of The White Lotus,
and he's had an interesting career.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
He was a contestant on Survivor.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
He was a contestant on Amazing Race in Thailand, by
the way, and he also directed the movie School of Rock.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Wrote and directed the movie School of Rock, which is
a classic.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
But again ninety minute finale Sunday night, and we apologize
in advance spoiler alert.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Sorry, no, we got to talk about it Monday morning.
We can't sit her and wait until somebody gives us
the green light.
Speaker 8 (16:02):
You want another fun fact that I learned about the
White Lotus cast. You know Rick's friend that goes with
him to the woman's house to kill the guy whatever
they want with the Asian girls at that weird thing.
His longtime girlfriend is one of the three blonde girls. Yeah, Lesliebib, Yeah, Lesliebib.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
And the three women were being interviewed yesterday and Alisa,
you were telling me a weird story about them.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
Yes, so I saw this on Instagram. The Laurie who
plays one of the girls. She says that they legitimately
could not be out in the sun. They would they
would literally stay inside because they were only there for
a week, so they couldn't really look tan.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Yeah, it's a week's vacation, right, we have a clip.
Speaker 22 (16:41):
We were not allowed to get tanned because remember, the
vacation is only a week, even though it's actually six
months of our life.
Speaker 11 (16:46):
Right, we don't get tan anyway. We know that that's
what's going to make us look old, so we don't
see the sun.
Speaker 22 (16:51):
So I hit in my room from nine to four,
and then we would swim in long sleeping long pants
at five pm from the UV index drop to one.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
That sounds so right.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
No, you're in this beautiful tropical environment and you have
to hide inside.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Yeah, And I'm gonna tell you it's not often you
see them doing this full court press thing. All of
the cast members have been doing the interview circuit and
I think it's really good because there's something about this
show where everybody feels like they want to get to
know the characters, even the real life people that play
those characters.
Speaker 8 (17:25):
Yeah, Walton Goggins was who plays Rick. He was on
the Stock Exchange doing an interview yesterday.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
Really it's such a good show anyway, Sunday night the finale.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
How about this four Beatles movies, one for each of
the Beatles, and it's more the people playing the Beatles
right list that.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
The cast is next level. So it's Joseph Quinn and
Paul mescal they were in Gladiator too. Paul plays Paul McCartney,
and then jose Quinn plays George Harrison, and then Barry Kyogan,
who used to date Sabrina Carpenter is playing Reno Star
and Harris Dickinson. He's John Lennon and he was just
in Baby Girl with Nicole Kidney.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
So he's the young guy that was having the crazy
sex with Napael Kidden. I can never get that two
and a half hours back from Baby Girls movie, it
just kept going and going and going, and I'm like, okay.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
There was no point to it.
Speaker 11 (18:19):
Does it feel like she's saying yes to everything right now.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
Yes, yeah, I think she should start saying this.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Last year, this past year, she's had more movie and
TV projects than her entire career. But anyway, there you go.
The Beatles are going to drop in twenty twenty eight.
April of twenty twenty eight. Handmaid's Tale, the final season
starts April eighth.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
I'll be on that.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
The new season of the show You starts April twenty fourth,
and you're doing something with the writer of You in
a couple of weeks, right, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
The book Club's going to Hartford.
Speaker 5 (18:50):
We're on the road to Hartford May seven, so it's
right after the season five finale season on Netflix, so
it's the perfect time. We will be at our sister
station down in Hartford. So I'll post some stuff next
week if you're in the area, if you know people
who want to go, but Caroline Kapnis will be there
May seven.
Speaker 7 (19:09):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Kevin Hartt went on Tiny Desk on the NPR for
April Fool's Day yesterday as chocolate drop a a rapper,
check it.
Speaker 23 (19:17):
Out, beef birds and pets, no grills. I'm here to
get it thrilled. It's Dad, you gotta chill. It's about
to get grilled. Head shot shuck cut the beat, cut,
cut the beat, cut the bee. Y'all not ready, y'all,
not ready, y'all not ready.
Speaker 17 (19:31):
Man.
Speaker 23 (19:31):
Look at the end of the day, I'm justsing all
black because it's a funeral. It ain't mine as theirs.
You know who I'm talking to. At the end of
the day's head shots that the target fits. Weird Bop bopp.
I'm here with the band of brothers. We about to
get down. Only time that they had somebody on tiny
desk with no track.
Speaker 8 (19:46):
I'm here all off the dome.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, you may have noticed a lot of edits there.
Speaker 8 (19:50):
That took me a while.
Speaker 12 (19:51):
But you know, he has an album from like one
of his last stand up toward a couple of maybe
like five years ago, and Nick Jonas is on it,
like all these random people that they do.
Speaker 11 (19:59):
He does songs and like raps. It's funny. But yeah,
as chocolate dropa.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
There you go, And we've got sad news. Actor Val Kilmer,
he's good. He is good.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
He died yesterday, sixty five years old. Died from pneumonia.
That's what the family is saying. A top gun was
his probably biggest project. He was iceman in Top Gun.
He also played Jim Morrison in the Doors movie and
did the singing himself. Yeah, Another Day, Destroyed, the Night, Night,
(20:31):
Divide the day.
Speaker 20 (20:37):
Break.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
I gotta tell you amazing.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
I think he sounds more like Jim Morrison than Timothy
Shallamade did.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Is Bob Dylan. I'm just throwing that out there.
Speaker 8 (20:47):
Yeah, you watched the Bob Dylan movie this weekend. You
weren't impressed.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Ah, I thought it was a good movie. I didn't
think it was that great, but it was a good movie.
Speaker 11 (20:56):
Leith, have you seen it?
Speaker 6 (20:57):
I haven't. But are you not a Dylan fan?
Speaker 16 (20:59):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (20:59):
Yeah, who wasn't?
Speaker 3 (21:01):
You know you have to be.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
We've got baby news. Jason and Kylie Kelsey had a
baby girl. It's their fourth child, Finley Finley Finley.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Ann and actress Jennifer Lawrence. I didn't even know she
was pregnant.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
She was at their second but she.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Had a baby as well.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Salt's going to play the heat in Boston tonight. Bruins
lost to the Capitals. I think we knew that was
going to happen. Most of the curiosity was on Ofvechkin
and how many goals he would score, because well, he
got one in the first periods and I was only
four goals from the Wayne Gretzky record. Sockser in Baltimore.
NFL rule changes for overtime. If a game goes into
(21:39):
ot both teams get a possession. There's no more winning
the coin toss and then scoring an immediate touchdown to
win the game.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
The other team gets a full shot, so that's good.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
And Marie Polvich and Connie Chung, I wasn't expecting to
see this on the desk this morning.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
It's a full page. I'm looking at a full page.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Telling us that Mary Polvich and Connie Chung have sex
every single Sunday. Mary, by the way, eighty six and
Connie seventy eight.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
We have a clip. I feel sexiest when.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
You or me you.
Speaker 8 (22:23):
I feel sexiest on Sundays.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Never on Sunday. Yeah, not in our house.
Speaker 8 (22:31):
Oh it's always been.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Everybody says, can we play golf on Sunday? No Sundays
with Connie? Do we believe it?
Speaker 8 (22:43):
I love that for six years old getting it on
good for him.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
Yeah, that's what you want to be.
Speaker 8 (22:48):
That's goals.
Speaker 11 (22:49):
Yeah, I believe it. As soon as he said Sunday,
she giggled.
Speaker 8 (22:52):
Yeah, and then she goes no comment.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
No, I think she was giggling at the thought of it.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
No, no Sundays.
Speaker 11 (22:59):
Yeah, I would have to hear from couples in their eighties.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
If they're still doing it saving Sunday for sex. You
go to church and then you have sex.
Speaker 23 (23:07):
You know.
Speaker 8 (23:08):
George to k is Yes, from Star Trek. He has
the same arrangement with his partner. They're in their eighties. Yes,
Sunday they spend the day together and that's when they
get busy.
Speaker 7 (23:17):
How do you know that?
Speaker 8 (23:18):
I don't. I mean, I just do. Okay, he's gay, right,
he's gay. Yeah, Brad, that's his husband.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Oh I love that.
Speaker 12 (23:24):
Listen, if you're gonna live to eighty five or eighty
six or ninety, you might as well be having some sex.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (23:31):
All the best for George and Brad. So what happens
if Mari gets like he gets like into it on
a Wednesday, that's all. No, I don't think Mary's looking
for it on Wednesday. I think he's just expecting it
to pop up.
Speaker 11 (23:44):
Was it Wednesday with Maury or Tuesday?
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Tuesday?
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Good?
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Hey, we're brought to it by Boston Vision.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Just want to wait, what do you know?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Chapel roone right there happens to be the artist of
the day if you're playing the double play flyaway.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
But that was not two Chapel roone songs in a row.
That's what we're waiting for. At some point today that
will happen. Yeah, that wasn't it.
Speaker 8 (24:41):
That was only one chapel. You need two chapels. There
you go back to back, and we're all buzzing about
this Beatles movie or movies. We should say, there's gonna
be four movies coming out in twenty twenty eight. We
have a movie expert that's a friend of the show.
Marked the movie near from Showcase Cinemas and he checks in,
we have any questions about movie like this one.
Speaker 18 (25:00):
It's a huge.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Story and they start shooting. It looks like this summer
in London, and they're going to be shooting for over
a year and a half and each movie is going
to focus on each individual Beatles. So Paul will have
his movie, George Ringo and then John great cast.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
I mean, I'm like super excited about the cast. They
I think they hit this one out of the park.
Speaker 8 (25:22):
And Mark also said that, you know, because the cast
is younger, they're gonna appeal to a younger audience.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:27):
I discover the Beatles. Yeah, it never listened. By the way,
do you ever hear Miley Cyrus doing a Beatles cover?
It's really good.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Good for her that she did that. She does a
lot of different music and she does it all well.
Speaker 14 (25:48):
I like that.
Speaker 7 (25:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (25:49):
And one of our entertainment stories for Billy was about
Mari Povich. I guess him and his wife Connie. He's
eighty six, she's seventy eight. Every Sunday that's their day
to get busy. And when he had a quest for
someone to call in or leave it talkback. That does
the same thing.
Speaker 24 (26:04):
So I feel a bit bad about the message left earlier,
so I called sing.
Speaker 8 (26:09):
Oh what happened? We have them up? Oh glitch, we
have an audio glitch. Oh you frozen an audio glitch? Yeah,
let me see if I can fix it here.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Okay, all right, hold on, Hey.
Speaker 24 (26:19):
Whinny, I'm just calling because you said you wanted to
hear from couples. Well, I'm not the couple, but my
parents are or were. My parents were having regular sex
right up until like the late seventies, and they would
have continued except that my mother had a massive stroke
and was no longer.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
Able to keep up.
Speaker 24 (26:38):
I don't think, but if they could have, they would have,
and god knows, they talked about it all the time.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
It's disgusting.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
And that's the one thing like, if you're gonna do it,
just keep it yours.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
Yeah, Bill, maybe dad was too good.
Speaker 11 (26:53):
She couldn't stop talking about it.
Speaker 6 (26:55):
From the Planet Fitness, Kiss one Away Studios, we're.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
Back with Villy and Lee in the morning.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Okay, So if everybody would indulge me for a couple
of minutes, I am enjoying a proud dad moment.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
I've got my middle son, Alex on the phone. Before
we get to Alex.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
People listening to the show, he happens to have an
alter ego on this show, justin.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
I think we have a sample. Ill In be's Lisa.
I'm gonna be quick.
Speaker 17 (27:23):
I have a four pm ferry to Nantucket and I'm
already late as all hell. I had a snaffer with
the pet resort. I said, Brianna, let me stop you
right there. Okay, stop you right there. I've been coming
here for thirty years, and I uploaded the paperwork into
the portal myself. I have a six o'clock reservation at
Gali Beach and I'll die.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I'm wait. Okay. So that's what we call the Lisa files.
Speaker 2 (27:48):
And that's my son Alex impersonating her mom, which by
the way, is spot on.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
And honey, you there, I'm here.
Speaker 7 (27:56):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
First of all, congratulations, we're all so proud of you.
Thirteen years sober to.
Speaker 7 (28:05):
There we go, Thank you, guys.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
So what do you do on a thirteen year anniversary?
Speaker 3 (28:12):
I'm at work.
Speaker 7 (28:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, I gotta pay the bills.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
And hopefully stay sober. Yeah, one day at a time, right,
that's right, guys.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Well, speaking of saying sober you for work, you actually
operate a facility down there in Florida.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I want't you tell everybody what it is and.
Speaker 23 (28:31):
What you do.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
Yeah, for sure. So Recreate Behavioral Health Network is the
name of our company. We actually have facilities down here
in Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio. We treat
people with primary substance use disorders, but we also treat
people with primary mental health issues as well, So in
patient treatment, outpatient services, just a little bit of everything.
(28:53):
So if anybody struggling or has a loved one who's
struggling and isn't sure, kind of you know what to
do next and what that process looks like. I would say,
go on our website, Recreate Behavioral health dot com. You
can chat with us, you can call will help kind
of guide you through that process, answer any questions you
have and see what might be the best fit.
Speaker 8 (29:15):
For any chance, Alex that you would do a consultation
as your mother.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
Absolutely, I mean I don't know, you know if that ethnical?
Uh A last, yeah, you actually want a consultation. I've
been ambushed yet again. Give me something get me going.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Uh well, you know you've got a family member calling
and and they're looking for help.
Speaker 7 (29:46):
What is he struggling with is that alcohol?
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Alcohol is bad, watch out and don't forget.
Speaker 18 (29:59):
And you gotta watch out for a feedra I googled
it and it says it's bad at the controlled substance,
taking it as a fat burner, watched out.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Duping you're doing.
Speaker 8 (30:11):
Now, that's a true story right from your brain.
Speaker 7 (30:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you found the pre workout. It
had a feed in it and all.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Got And this is even funnier. Lisa's son Riley, when
he was on five years.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Old, he recreated what you created.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
He would imitate Alex who was imitating his mother. Yeah,
and he was spot on, by the way.
Speaker 14 (30:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Uh so, we're so proud of what you're doing for
living as well as your thirteen years sober and uh well,
all the boys are doing great. I mean, Dylan's down
there a national bust in his hump and Chris, now
I gotta ask you, your older brother, Chris is now
full on partners with Tom Brady. Have you been invited
to any kind of a lunch yet with Tom Brady?
Speaker 20 (30:55):
Because I haven't so there's been there's been no invice
to a lunch, but I'm hopefully going to meet him
on April eleventh at the opening of their new store
at American Dream Mall up in Jersey.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
And if I do get my.
Speaker 7 (31:06):
Hands on him, I'm going to be sure to let
him know. You know who the real diehard fan, uh
and the family is. So I got some stories to tell.
A couple of rough Sundays when when Chris wasn't really
sounding like much of a fan.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
I gotta tell you, never wafford on being Brady's fan.
They could have belonged the lost twenty straight games and
Alice was still on Brady.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
Uh yeah, a big deal family or diehards, we love him.
So Brady's going to be there at the opening next week.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
Did you see Chris's post yesterday the Mark press conference?
Speaker 8 (31:42):
Unbelievable?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
The fact that Tom Brady and Tom shared it on
a story.
Speaker 11 (31:48):
Oh I haven't see that.
Speaker 7 (31:49):
It's like, what the hell's going on?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
Oh yeah? Oh yeah.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
I mean, I'm proud of my brother and everything, but
I gotta be honest, I'm not entirely.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Thrilled about the whole story because you were the real fan.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
I mean, yeah, I'm standing right here. I don't know
what's happening right now, share him on his story. So
I'm going up there. I'm gonna sniff the whole thing out.
I'm gonna see how I can insert myself.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Okay, but I gotta tell you when you have to
transfer this to your brother. Okay, when you get down
to New Jersey. We have him on tape guaranteeing that
the first Brady interview will be on the Billy and
Lisa Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
So you got to remind him when you go to
the opening, Alex.
Speaker 7 (32:27):
I think he'll remind him. But but you know, he's
been known to make some empty promises.
Speaker 11 (32:34):
Alex, I've been saying this for years. Your brother's a
one way street.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Okay, you know him, you know? Oh yeah, you know dad.
Speaker 7 (32:41):
They got that little radio show going on.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
All of a sudden, my dad has the little radio show.
Speaker 7 (32:47):
But yeah, yeah, we got you know, the Today Show
out here. Today, ye.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Show is going to be there. Michael Strahan is gonna.
Speaker 7 (32:56):
Be doesn't surprise me. I have Billy and Lisa's show
will be the first broadcast that Tom is on in
the New England area.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Okay, So you need to police this, okay, Alex, because
when you're down there, if you see Brady doing any
interview with the radio show down there, you got to
stop it. And it's tracks, so you have to jump
in between the reporter and Tom Brady's I'm sorry the
first interview is promised to Chris's dad.
Speaker 7 (33:22):
I mean, I'm on it, but I mean, what's really
what's in it for me? Oh?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Here we go, sons in it for you? A whole
life of me?
Speaker 16 (33:31):
All you?
Speaker 1 (33:32):
I swear, Yeah, we're always looking for the deal. Well,
we wanted to call the say congratulations, truly, we're also
proud of you thirteen years older, a great.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
Job and thank you guys. Able to do it. Wouldn't
have been able to do it without my dad, that's
for sure. My family's everything. So just incredibly grateful. And
before I jump, if anyone's listening who is struggling, or
as a loved one who's struggling, the most important thing
is you just have to know that there's hope, there's
another life out there, There's there's another way to live,
(34:04):
and it truly can be beyond your wildest dreams. So
if you're you're feeling like there's no hope. All you
have to do is ask for help. There's people out
there that will show you the way. And I wouldn't
trade my my worst days today for my best days
you know out there before getting sober.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
So yeah, don't give up. Yeah, just ask Justin He'll
tell you to.
Speaker 7 (34:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (34:23):
We're both living living proof. This thing works.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
I love you all.
Speaker 7 (34:27):
I love you guys.
Speaker 8 (34:28):
Okay, thanks So yeah you mentioned Riley doing the impression
of Billy.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yes, Julee way out.
Speaker 8 (34:43):
Anxiety star to day.
Speaker 16 (34:49):
He was.
Speaker 8 (34:52):
Talkback leftovers coming up next. Good morning everybody.
Speaker 10 (34:55):
I love Billy and Lisa.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Kiss you got some talk back leftovers? Brother, let's go.
Speaker 9 (35:00):
Oh, good morning everyone. Happy Wednesday. So I'm already excited
for Friday and the release of Ed Sharon's new song.
I've been playing it on repeat. I know it's just
thirty seconds, but it is so amazing.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
It is so good.
Speaker 9 (35:14):
And he's incredible too, with the way he's launching this
song and the creativity and these big pink balloons across
the world, which we need now more than ever. So
he is truly one of a kind. So Friday can't
come soon enough.
Speaker 8 (35:27):
And you'll hear that song on the Music Friday on
Kiss one o eight. It's called as He's Yeah, that's
gonna be a big one.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Ye oh yeah.
Speaker 17 (35:40):
You know what.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
They should have used that as the song for the
White Lotus instead of the one they have I don't like.
Speaker 8 (35:45):
Oh no, the white theme is good.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
I like it too.
Speaker 8 (35:47):
They change it a little bit, but it's still that
same kind.
Speaker 6 (35:51):
You can tell exactly where it.
Speaker 8 (35:53):
Ste did a remix of it. You remember that that
wang yeah, which I really really like. But anyway, speaking
of music, I have to.
Speaker 14 (36:03):
Tell you, Kendrick Lamar, they not like us. The first
several times I heard it, I thought a minor he
was talking about a minor chord, and then my fourteen
year old granddaughter had to tell me what was going
on in the song. So that's what you call a
(36:25):
generation gap. Love.
Speaker 8 (36:34):
Oh you know, you learn things every day, right, all right,
will wrap things up. Take a look back at the show.
The wrap up we do every morning at nine to forty.
That's next on Kiss. Want to Wait? Stay with us?
Speaker 6 (36:44):
Kids want to Wait? It's the morning wrap up on
Billy and Lisa in the Morning.
Speaker 8 (36:49):
All right, let's take a look back before we get
out of here. What you missed on the Wednesday Billy
and Lisa's show. First of all, the Kiss Went Away
Double Play Flyaway is going on right now. Chapel Roane
is the artists of the day. So you're listening for
back to back Chapel Roon songs. B call her twenty
five you head it to Universal Orlando.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Easy as that good morning.
Speaker 19 (37:08):
This is a Producer Riley appreciation talkback. I felt really
stupid just now. I jumped the gun with the contest
because I was in target getting diapish for my son.
So I had my earbudson listening to the Rhart app
and I know there's a lag So I called too
soon and didn't realize you hadn't played.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Two Chapel Rone songs.
Speaker 19 (37:28):
And I was very embarrassed. And she was really nice
about it, just so so kind.
Speaker 4 (37:33):
And she needs to be protected at all costs.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
We got to protect her at all costs.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
And by the way, she's playing by all the rules
the talkbacker, she's doing all the right things, taking it
with her.
Speaker 8 (37:43):
Yeah, yeah, and listen, it's okay, make a mistake, It's okay,
you know what I mean. And by the way, Producer
Riley should give her a plug is now on Saturday
mornings at eight am. Oh, she's doing the Top five countdown.
That's how I started being on the radio.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Waite a minute doing Riley is the opening act to
my Kish Top thirty Countdown.
Speaker 8 (38:03):
I passed the reins on onto her.
Speaker 16 (38:06):
Wow.
Speaker 8 (38:06):
Last week was our first week and then she'll be
on this Saturday. So eight am. If you missed any
of the show this week, she's going to count down
the top five best moments leading into the countdown.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
You gotta make it good, okay, My show follows you.
Some big guests.
Speaker 8 (38:26):
Also on the show this morning, we talked about the
chickens that are at my house. We have nine little
baby chicks that we're gonna raise well. My wife is
I'll be there for support. I'll do the best I can.
But yeah, they're gonna go on the chicken coop in
the yard.
Speaker 25 (38:38):
Hey, Justin, I used to have chickens, and there's a
lot of pros to them. You won't have any buds
in the backyard, you won't have any ticks. The ticks
will be pretty much gone. And yeah, they're super friendly.
They will follow you around the yard and they just
wick it cute.
Speaker 11 (38:59):
The cons are.
Speaker 25 (39:01):
All the poop and just wash your hands a lot.
And then if a hawk comes down and pulls their
head off, okay.
Speaker 8 (39:08):
Yeah, yeah, that's traumatic for the chill around my yard.
We're not going to let them out of their No,
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
They can nothing more vicious than a hawk pulls the
head off.
Speaker 8 (39:19):
So, Billy put me onto this show. I just started it.
It's called The Americas. It's a great NBC narrated by
Tom Hanks. It is unbelievable. In the first episode they
go over it's the eagles and how beautiful they are.
They get these really close up shots. It's an amazing show.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Oh it's It's one of the most beautiful shows I've
ever watched.
Speaker 6 (39:38):
And you can watch it with your whole family.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
That's what I like about it. Yeah, you'll learn a
lot everybody.
Speaker 6 (39:42):
The kids really like it.
Speaker 8 (39:44):
Yeah. Our topic time this morning came from a survey
that we found that says that gen zers are putting
aside two hours or more a day for worry.
Speaker 10 (39:52):
Times only two hours of worrying per day.
Speaker 9 (39:56):
Sign me up.
Speaker 10 (39:58):
I would love to only have two hours of worry
for me. It's like nine actually, just my entire time
at work is just how am I going to do this?
How I'm going to get through the day? What just
what's going on with the world. It's yeah, it's a thing.
Speaker 8 (40:16):
That's one thing I learned from that whole discussion was
everybody is worried. Everyone, everyone's full of anxiety, anxiety, crazy,
It's true. And during topic time, we got a call
from Amber, who was trying to get in the electricians
or plumbers union.
Speaker 17 (40:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (40:30):
Well she tried the electricians and now she's going for
the plumbing union.
Speaker 16 (40:35):
I've been trying to focus on plumbing, and I think
I have a really nice bot crack.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
I don't know, is that a prerequisite. I'm not sure.
Speaker 8 (40:44):
I don't I don't think.
Speaker 6 (40:45):
I wish her well in her journey.
Speaker 5 (40:47):
I think, really, I think there should be more female
plumbers and electricians.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
Right, yeah, I would hire.
Speaker 8 (40:53):
My friend is in the electricians union in Boston and
he has several female employees under him, and he says,
are great.
Speaker 11 (41:00):
You actually need some jobs.
Speaker 12 (41:02):
You need women like they actually want a requirement because
they want to diversify the job. So that's how I
got starting construction. Remember, guys told you I had a
construction job. I built a bench.
Speaker 11 (41:12):
Because they need the girl.
Speaker 8 (41:14):
They need the girl.
Speaker 11 (41:15):
Yes, so they do need women in the trades.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Okay, are smarter, there's no question. Amber.
Speaker 8 (41:20):
If you're listening to.
Speaker 16 (41:22):
Amber Colin and she's looking for an apprentice job, I
heard that Silo Plumbing is hiring in if Switch, and
they're a great company, I'm sure they will take her. Seriously,
good luck.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
That's great.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
That is a great tip, really good one, generally speaking.
An apprenticeship, good way to break your way in.
Speaker 7 (41:46):
Oh.
Speaker 11 (41:46):
I think she was in Brockton. That's quite the draw.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
You know, what you gotta do, what you gotta do.
Speaker 14 (41:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (41:51):
And finally, my cat, my little kitten, he's about seven
months old. He is now in surgery getting new dirt
right now as we speak, right now, nutsack. Yeah, they're
gonna call us this afternoon where he's gonna go. We
talked about that this morning, and the fact that he's
gonna have to get a cone on his head or
something down there, because you know, he does a want
(42:12):
of licking. He licks his.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
Balls a lot.
Speaker 8 (42:14):
We noticed that. And then his little red rocket comes out.
Speaker 15 (42:18):
So if I could, I'd never leave the house. Okay,
