Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, and welcome back. It's the Billy and Lisa
Morning Show and a happy tax day everybody. You know
what they say, get him in by midnight or else.
But anyway, Jay Shetty, I'm talking about a global best
selling author. He's coming to Boston May fifteenth to the
Box Center, Wang Theater, And what do you know, Jay

(00:22):
Shetty is on the phone. Jay Shetty, good to have
you on the show. This is so cool. Global best
selling author, award winning podcast host, chief Purpose Officer of Calm,
purpose driven entrepreneur, fifty million followers, and you finally made
it to the Billy and Lisa Morning Show. This officially
put you over the top.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Jay, I'm so greatful to meet you both. Thanks for
having me.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Well, we're happy you're coming to Boston.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
So what can people expect, you know, with your on
Purpose tour when you come to the Box Center, you're
saying there's going to be some surprise guests.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, I'm so excited. I'm going to be bringing my
podcast for a live in person extit, so I'll be
interviewing a very special guest for the audience. We'll be
doing a Q and A session so people can ask
me questions, the audience questions. I'll be leading us all
in the meditation, and so it's going to be a
truly memorable evening. And I can't wait for people to

(01:15):
come out.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Can you tell us who these surprise people might be?

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Jay, it might be coming out shortly, we may it's
definitely someone who's known for being in Boston. Let's say that.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Ah, But then again, if you told us it wouldn't
be a surprise guest anymore. What did Jake exactly?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Exactly? But I promise it'll be worth it.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I got to tell you, Jay, there's so many people
I've told over the past week that Lisa and I
were going to be talking to Jay Sheddy. They were overwhelmed.
Their immediate reaction was, oh, my god, I love him
so much.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Oh I love that. That makes me so happy, And
send my love to them.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Please, I shall, I shall. Now I'm looking at a
long list of other major celebrities that you've had on,
everybody from Kobe Bryant to j Lo will Smith, Selena Gomez,
and Benny Blanco. I thought was a wonderful, wonderful interview Jay.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Oh, thank you so much. Yeah, they're the best. It
was incredible to have such a beautiful conversation with both
of them, and it was amazing to see people all
over the internet talk about positive masculinity and healthy love,
and I think it's made everyone hopeful to find real
love again, which is beautiful.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
Jay, You've been producing content for like ten years, You've
been helping people navigate this crazy world that we live in.
Why do you think people are craving all of these
types of conversations.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I think lives, just if we're honest, got harder for everyone.
It's difficult. It's challenging, whether that be work, whether it
be outside of work, whether it be family. I think
people have more stress in their lives. People are busier,
they have less help, and so I think it's a
time when people are really seeking and I think also
at the same time, there's a great appetite for wanting
to build habits and improve their lives and improve their

(02:51):
sleep and improve the quality of their relationships, which, by
the way, I believe are all good things, because if
we make a difference when things are easy and things
are a bit better for us, then things become better
for us in the long term. So I think it's
amazing that people are opening up to all of these ideas,
whether it's through podcast, books, live events, and everything else.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Jay, let me ask you this, these are crazy times
right now. We keep hearing the words seeing the word anxiety.
People are very anxious. They're very nervous between inflation and
tariffs and the cost of things for your house, for
your home, for your family. If we were in a
session right now and we were telling you we were anxious,

(03:34):
we were freaked out, what would you tell us?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
The first thing I'd say is that's normal, and that's natural.
It's not a weakness. It's normal right now to feel anxiety.
It's natural to feel anxiety, and I think we need
to stop feeling like there's something wrong with us. If
we feel it, we almost think there's some glitch or
there's some mistake we made, or that it's not meant

(03:56):
to happen. I think that's what's meant to happen. If
things are uncertain, we will feel anxiety. What I would
say is that in times of uncertainty, we often look
for certainty to feel stable. But instead of looking for certainty,
we should look for service, look for opportunities to help
someone else. Look for opportunities to make someone else's day.

(04:17):
Sometimes you'll relieve your anxiety quicker by trying to help
someone else than you will by trying to solve your own.
And so I think we will find a lot more
meaning and a lot more connection if we help others
more than even trying to solve our own anxiety.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
I know that you talk a lot about the practice
of meditation, and I keep telling Billy that he needs.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
To meditate, But why should we all be doing it?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Well, I think it's because of what we just spoke about.
There's such a newfound, you know, origination of stress through
so many things, whether it's you wake up in the
morning and you spill your coffee, or wait, you know,
you get to work and you're already fifteen minutes late
because of the traffic, or you get to a meeting
and you realize there's a task that's been in complete.
I think there's so many moments in the day that

(05:02):
creates trust. So what we need is a practice that
helps us balance that out. We need a practice to
bring us back into feeling centered, and meditation does just that.
So what I often recommend to people is, if you're
feeling stressed, you're feeling like you're out of alignment today.
Breathe out for longer than you breathe in, So breathe
in for accounter all and breed out for more than

(05:24):
four If you exhale for longer than you inhale, it
relaxes your body and mind. Again, when your breath gets
shallow and your breath gets quicker, you want to deepen
it and slow it down.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
That's what I've been doing wrong. I'm breathing in the
wrong direction, a shallow breather. Jay. If you don't mind,
I want to read a couple of your quotes and
have you elaborate on you. If you don't mind, I
love this one. The longer you stay on the wrong train,
the more expensive it is to get home. Please elaborate.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yes, I shared that the other day. It's not one
of mine. It's it's someone that I shared earlier this week.
But no, I love that quote. It's I think for
so many of us, we feel we maybe got on
the wrong job, or for so many of us, we
feel we got into the wrong relationship. And I think
a lot of us are scared of leaving something that
feels bad because we're scared of the unknown. But the

(06:15):
reality is, if we stay on that train for too long,
if we stay in that relationship for too long, with
that job for too long, it actually becomes harder to
find our way back. So it's never too late to quit,
it's never too late to pause, it's never too late
to stop. It's important to do that as soon as
you feel you can. So I try to encourage people
to not put this pressure on themselves to push something

(06:37):
or force something to work if it's not serving them.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Do you have a favorite book?

Speaker 4 (06:41):
I know you have two books out, but do you
have a favorite book that you always go back to?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Oh that's a great question. One of my favorite books
of all time is probably Thinking Fast and Slow by
Daniel Kahnman. It's a brilliant, brilliant book really breaks down
how the mind works, how the mind tricks us, how
our thoughts work. I love that book.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Jay, you spent three years as among you were meditating
eight hours a day, and then you realize there are
a lot of similarities between that world and the digital world.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
How so well I found the connection between what I
was learning and I was thinking, Wow, this would really
help people that I grew up with, and you know,
my generation and then every generation that's now living in
the digital world. I find that if you're living in
a constant digital landscape with a screen in front of you,
having practices and habits that allow you to detox and

(07:33):
disconnect or even more important. And so I'm grateful that
I've now been able to see the fruits of that labor,
because you know, just around ten years ago it is
just an idea that now I've seen the impact of it.
It gives me even more confidence that these tools that
are thousands of years old are actually so practical and impactful.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
You're not still meditating eight hours a day, are you, Jay?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Not even close? Not even close. It's nowhere near I
think I could. I don't think I could hack that
with my with my schedule, but I do go back
to the monastery every January with my wife to do that.
So we do go back and start our year there,
which is one of our favorite things to do.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Every time your name comes up, Jay, everyone says, oh,
my God, I love him so much, But they also say, God,
he has the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Do you hear how many times a day do you
hear that?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I hear it often I'm very grateful for it, but
I can't take any credit for them because I didn't
do anything for them. So it's it's one of those
catch twenty two situations where yeah, it's like what do
you do when you didn't eard them or take credit
for them? So yeah, I'm grateful.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
So they're not contacts.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Definitely, No, definitely.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
No, I am kidding.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Jay.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I know you're I know you're coming to Boston. Have
you been here much?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Yes? I have. Yeah, I actually performed at the Wang
Theater I believe two years ago as well, So I've
been before. I've told it before. I've always loved coming
to Boston. Excited to be there again soon.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
So how can people find you? You're here May fifteenth?
Where should they go to get tickets?

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yes, I'll be at the Waning Stats in May fifteenth.
Head to Jayschetti dot me Forward slash Tour for tickets.
It's Jay Setti dot me Forward slash Tour.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
And the Center Wayne Theater rather is a beautiful venue.
As you know, you've done it before, which is why
you're coming back and doing it again. Jay, We can't
thank you enough for giving us the time. I know
you're really busy. Oh my god, fifteenth, can you give
up a few of your followers send them our way.
I'm just fifty million, jay.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
I love it. I love it. You guys are the best. No,
and I can't wait to see you at the show.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Just amazing. All right? Coming up next, weird stories. We
do it every morning on the Billy and Lisa Show.
Right around eight twenty, we have a very cool pet
reunion story. But the weird part of it is what
kind of pet it was?

Speaker 4 (09:49):
Kiss one to wait with a Billy and Lisa's weird stories, Well,
we love animal stories around here. Well, a pet tortoise
went missing in a tornado. He disappeared during a storm
in Mississippi on March fifteenth, But he's now back at home,
safe and sound.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
There was a tornado coming and it was basically right
down the road, and I mean we had time to
maybe grab our clothes and get in the vehicle. The
two pine trees they fell directly over his house. Myrtle's
house had kind of been completely demolished right then and there.
I guess I kind of got a little nervous because
I thought maybe he might have been in there.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
April fourth, I believe was the date.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
We got a phone call from a lady down in
the Tylertown area that said she had found what she
believed was a Silcata tortoise. The lady who found the
tortoise called me and she said she had run into
the owners.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
It feels good to kind of have some kind of
happy out of so much sad and grief and loss.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
That's amazing. Yeah, well, it's so scary. Tornadoes. Oh, that's
just terrifying.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
And they come faster than they appear in movies. You know,
it's like they come out of no where.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Tortoise too, I know, Yeah, who has a pet tortoise?

Speaker 5 (11:04):
I guess in Mississippi wherever that was.

Speaker 8 (11:07):
And they can live to like one hundred and fifty
years old.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, I like turtles.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Okay, I want to talk about a police officer in
the Philadelphia who apparently had a fear of heights, but
he's still climbed out onto a roof to save a
five year old boy who was standing out on the edge.
Now it's not clear how the kid got out there
on the edge, but they were twenty or thirty feet up.
Here's the cop right here.

Speaker 9 (11:33):
He does not seem face at the fact that he's
on the roof. I just knew I had to get
him off.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
That roof.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Room.

Speaker 9 (11:43):
I just locked onto the kid and started trying to
map out how I can safely grab the kid without
startling him and him possibly falling over the edge of
the roof.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Felt like forever. Also because I'm scared of heights.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
It was just a rush of emotion.

Speaker 9 (11:56):
Instantly overcome my fear of heights and getting that kid
from the room. It hit home at the at the
end because it could have been my kid. Then I
would want someone to do the same.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
And it's positive for the cop too because he fought
his fears and he won. I like, got the kid out.
He's a hero.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
Well, when I see these stories, I like to imagine
if it was me, If it were me, you know,
in that moment, would I do the right thing? You know,
especially if I had a fear, you know, could I
be the hero? And I like to think that I would.
You know, with those moments, man, the adrenaline is running
through you. You know, you jump in and yeah, I
don't like heights either, yea fear of I have a
fear of fight. Yeah, you know, everyone does, but Lisa.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
So this is my mom shoveling snow off the roof.
Good job, Mom, I climb right up.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
It's nothing for Lisa.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah, I still have that video in my phone somewhere
Lisa up on the roof and her ski suit with
a shovel in her hand. It because she sent it
to me. It's still in my video color there. Yeah,
what do you think I sit there in the dark
looking at it like, No, that's fine. That's the way
she's holding the shovel.

Speaker 5 (12:59):
Working that.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Coming up the bill A lot coming up in entertainment.
I'm sorry, I'm trying to gather my thoughts after the video.
Katie Perry's going to talk about her trip into space
and what and why songs she sang, that's coming up next,
then Boston.

Speaker 10 (13:19):
What ja cat?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Everybody gain and we're not Billy and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 10 (13:24):
Yeah, I'm kissing one of ways.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Everybody get it. I'm just saying, we've got entertainment. I
want to hear from Drake in a couple of seconds,
but justin a couple of talkbacks.

Speaker 7 (13:37):
Possibly Wait, was Billy just doing his inappropriate laugh again
when he was.

Speaker 11 (13:43):
Talking about whooping cough in the news.

Speaker 10 (13:46):
I think I need to hear that again.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
Let's take a listen.

Speaker 10 (13:49):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Former President Biden will make his first public appearance since
leaving office. He'll speak tonight at a conference for the disabled,
and the report this morning says, whooping cough cases skyrocket.
I need to clear this up for our very attentive listener.
And by the way, thank you for listening. But Justin
and I were in the middle of something and it
just kind of hit me just as I was about

(14:11):
to do with the story, because.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Yeah, yeah, well you have a goal. I wasn't laughing,
not funny, although you do have a thing with coughing.
I don't know what it is.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Bad day on Wall Street, yesterday, the doubt. I guess
we'll start from the top. Yellow. Good morning. I guess
I need water now.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
The entertainment updates with a Billy copsat.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Everybody is acting really weird this morning. Okay, but I
apologize to the listener. No, I wasn't laughing at whooping
cough when he's been weird. She's secretly taping me, and
I just found out she's asking me weird questions and
telling me weird things. Taping me without me knowing it.
Isn't that illegal?

Speaker 5 (14:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:54):
Well for what? Well for social of course, for the gram.

Speaker 5 (14:58):
Yeah, okay, he didn't know about it.

Speaker 12 (15:03):
No, obviously, I was trying to be the street. But
then he caught on. I'm not well with the street.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
We know why when he's.

Speaker 13 (15:08):
Here, he's just there for the Gram.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Okay. So Neo, Mary J. Blige and Mario had their
show in the TV Garden last night. This was cool.
Neo actually stopped by the studios, the kids studios.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
I met him yesterday.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
We were here late and I walked and I looked
at I was like, oh my god, that's Neo, and
I got my picture taken with him.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Does he still wear the little hat?

Speaker 3 (15:33):
He he did have a hat on. Yeah, he was great.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
He always wears the hat. That's kind of a trademark.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
Sunglasses.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah. Anyway, he talked with mikey V and Pop Dog
yesterday here in the studios and talked about one of
the big songs he had to make me better this
clip right herein with Gevil. I said, grind right there.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Okay, Bill, My most favorite Neo song is Miss Independent Jam.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Everybody says that Misindependence the jam oh.

Speaker 8 (16:08):
So second is good, mad is good. He has so
many heads.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
And apparently the song we just played make make me better.
He wrote that about jay Z and Beyonce's marriage.

Speaker 14 (16:18):
It was the first time I had seen them together
outside of you know, outside of the world. They go outside.
One thing I love about jay Z and Beyonce in
public is that you see them together, like if you've
ever seen them at a at a party or anything, you know,
they walking together, and then they split because they understand
that as a power couple, I have to I have to,
you know, express my power and she has to express

(16:38):
her power. You know, that's what makes a power couple.
The two of them are powerful separately, and then they
come together and become a force.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
So like I'm looking at.

Speaker 14 (16:46):
Them like all right, and I'm he's certainly a movement
on his own, but with her, it's like vultron. So
I wrote it for him.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
He heard it, he dug it that night.

Speaker 14 (16:56):
But then a couple of days later he called me
and said, you know what, with all due respect, feels
a little bit more like an R and B saw.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I'm gonna let you have it. Yeah, and you'll get
the entire interview with the v Bros. Today between two
and seven o'clock.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Well, you know what they say, Beyonce, she has her
own thing.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
That's a gem right there. He is a super talent now,
Oh he really is.

Speaker 8 (17:19):
At least I'm so jealous.

Speaker 12 (17:20):
And the thing was, we were here late and I
must have just missed him because he came in like noon.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
I was so it was a moment.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
It was very nice, right, it was very nice. Mary J.
Blige also in the show last night at the TD Garden.
Can I tell a quick Mary J. Blige store, Yeah,
I happened to be in La staying at the Beverly
Hills Hotel for the Grammy Awards, and they have this diner.
I tell everybody if they're going to Los Angeles Beverly Hills,
definitely go to the Beverly Hills Hotel. Go downstairs in
the basement and they have this little diner cafe and

(17:48):
a lot of celebrities get out. It's a tiny little
place and you just sit at the counter. There are
no tables, you just sit at the counter. So I
get down there and I sit down. I'm all by myself.
I ordered breakfast and I turn to my left. Mary J.
Blige was on the stool right next to me. So
I did an interview.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
You interviewed her, Yeah, and she was okay with it.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
She yeah, it was great. Oh that's it. Back to center,
back here to Boston. It was great.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
That's cool. By the way, see now you got me coughing,
I got whooping.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Coll whooping.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
Make any jokes about it. DJ pop Dog was the
DJ there. I was watching the video of the TD Garden.
Pop Dog came from under the stage opened. The stage opened, Yeah,
and he came.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Up on a riser. Yes, no way, that's my dream.
Pop Dog got to come up on a riser on
the stage. Yeah, DJ pop Dog, we can Oh no,
the whole morning show comes up like on a riser.
Oh yeah, like river dance or.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Something that would be you guys, that would that would
be cool.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
So Blue Origins All female mission went up and it
came down yesterday, the flight lasting ten minutes twenty one seconds,
Gail King kissing the ground minutes after touchdown.

Speaker 15 (19:01):
To me, it's such a reminder about how we need
to do better, be better, do better, be better human beings.
It's so nasty and so bitriolic nowadays, and I mean
if everybody could experience that peace that we had up there,
and the kindness and.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
What it takes to do what we did. Katie Perry
did sing in space, she said, she sang okay over
theregg figure, she sang, what a wonderful world. Why not
sing one of her songs.

Speaker 16 (19:30):
It's not about me, It's not about singing my songs.
It's about a collective energy in there.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
It's about us.

Speaker 16 (19:37):
It's about making space for future women and taking up
space and belonging, and it's about this wonderful world that
we see right out there and appreciating it.

Speaker 8 (19:49):
This is all for the benefit of Earth.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Can we talk about this for like a quick It's
not for womankind.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
It's extremely expensive of you know, if they're gathering data,
that's great, right, but.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Again, gathering data, it's going to.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Be able to afford this like space tourism.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Well, you're very wealthy people.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
I know, but again most of us aren't very well know.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
And the thing is that the money that was spent Listen,
people can do with what they want with their money,
but there's so many much better things they could have spent.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Money on, right, That's what I'm saying. So if they're
gathering data. That's great. Then that helps, you know, propel
the program. But again, who's going on this and all.

Speaker 12 (20:34):
Those you know, they didn't pay for those tickets. No,
Dan King didn't want to go. And I mean, I
like Gail King. I think she's a great journalist and
I love her friendship with Oprah. But it's out of
touch to be like, you're doing something for man.

Speaker 1 (20:46):
Humanity, designer suits made and Kid Kardashians underwear and it's okay, it's.

Speaker 8 (20:53):
Like an amusement.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Rid that's exactly.

Speaker 12 (20:58):
At least you said they're not doing research, She's not
doing anything to help us.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
It didn't seem that way.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
I think they have that ride. What's the park in
New Hampshire? They were always on that laughter.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Yeah they All I care about it is what is
Jeff Bezos running? What is he running to? Look like that?

Speaker 2 (21:19):

Speaker 3 (29:46):
We have Lisa's book Club wine.

You could sell this wine to the Paris ideas I've
got my own wine. We can bring on my own
wine to Paris.

Speaker 5 (29:58):
Oh yeah, Paris. I know you just announced your first
event sold out fast. But Lisa is setting a high bar.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Okay, I know, I know I've got major standards to
live up to. But I'll tell you what. I'll make
a deal with Justin. I'll buy a bunch of the
raffle tickets, and if I win the red jacket, I'll
give it to your family.

Speaker 5 (30:15):

does anyone else have dreams about being good friends with
the morning show crew and you're just sinking out? Last
night we were all running in the field of flowers
in a sunny day, I know, super corny. But then
Winnie came and said the sun causes cancer and she

(31:17):
ruined it.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
You win.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
You Welcome, Welcome to our life. Welcome, my god.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Does she have Winnie pinned? She's not.

people get sent cancer all the time.

Speaker 8 (31:35):
Where your sunblock.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
Winnie will always find the one the darkness, the darkness
about anything. But if to answer that person's question, yes,
I do have dreams of you guys, Well you'll be
you know, you'll appear in different different ways.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
You know, do you have dreams about it?

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Constantly. No, Actually, I do have dreams most mornings. Yeah,
about the show, about the group, about us, and then
there are the weird ones with Lisa, but that's, you know,
nothing you talk about open.

Speaker 11 (32:12):
Justin. I was traveling on Friday and flew through Chicago O'Hare,
and I was using the bathroom and who came out
of the stall but Gemmah. Yeah, Katie's cigar in stall
and I went in right after her and used the
same toilet. Isn't that exciting?

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Have a good day? So cool?

Speaker 5 (32:32):
That is exciting. Yeah, my daughter, Gemma is named after
Katie Segall's character Gemma and Sons of Anarchy.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yes, oh, I didn't know.

Speaker 5 (32:39):
You never watched that show. It's a great show.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
There's a Gemma in Severance, Yes there.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Is, Yes, there is, Yes, Yes, there is. There's a
Gemma Gemma World.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
Ye oh on the second.

Speaker 12 (32:51):
I'm on season I'm on episode six. It's a slow grind.
I'm getting there. I'm getting there, but I want to
learn about Gemma. That's why I'm sticking it out.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
I'm going to dress up as Helly for Halloween.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Oh my god, that would be so cute.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
I think we should do that as A as a
costume for the group.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
Okay, this is a question for people that watch severance
or not. Are you going to dress as any Helly
or Audi like any.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
This is perfect.

Speaker 8 (33:17):
We should do it and Billy can be right.

Speaker 12 (33:20):
You can be Mark, I'll be Dylan and she can
be Helly.

Speaker 5 (33:25):
You should do this.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
We're doing it. We're totally doing it.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, playing dress up.

Speaker 8 (33:32):
Long?

Speaker 1 (33:33):

Speaker 5 (33:58):
This is your year, you know what.

Speaker 11 (34:00):
This is it.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
We're going to do it as a group and we're
going to come out.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
Yeah a minute, I thought you were dressing as Katie
Perry and the Mission the Astronauts.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Maybe I'll change, Okay, then hell to be Gail. Okay,
no more Sancha.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
I'm Lauren s It would have been the first time
you dressed as a woman.

Speaker 1 (34:18):

Speaker 12 (34:21):
Doctor Shawn, your friend, doctor Seangery, Come on, Bill, all right,
I guess I'll bring it up.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
All right, if you're just tuning in. There's a lot

and Lisa in the morning.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
All right, let's take a look back at what you
missed in the Billy and Lisa Show on this Tuesday.
I do see some blue skies outside. Lisa's going to
see the sun today or what.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
I don't think so, I mean maybe, but we could
see a pop up storm, you know, throughout the day.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
Well that's good news.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yeah, Well it's going to be warm me at least
it's like mild temps. It's sixty it's gonna be sixty
seven today.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Well that's good. You know Rainer Shine, the Billy leads
a show. We do our best to share you up
and we're giving away a free car. That's a big deal.
We're qualifying people with tickets. Congratulations to Caitlin. She qualified.
She won Tate McCrae tickets this morning and qualified for
a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe thanks to McGovern and
it's perfect time for her.

Speaker 7 (35:28):
I'm so excited because my window just broke.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
How did your window break?

Speaker 2 (35:31):
I have no idea.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
I was driving down the highway.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
And it So.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
Yeah, if you want to qualify like Caitlin, go to
the Kiss Instagram the pin post and you enter right there.
To ten this afternoon, the v Bros And Gianna will
announce the next user name. So you have to be
listening and there's no excuse not to if you're in
your car or at home and your smart speaker or
your car radio. But if not the iHeartRadio app on
your phone. Listen all day long.

Speaker 8 (35:53):
And may it's the number one preset. You don't forget.
If you're the number one pre set, We're right there,
very true.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
Also this morning we had a topic time around taxes.
It is tax Day, April fifteenth, and we were talking
about weird deductions that you may or may not know of.

Speaker 13 (36:07):
My tax accountant was just telling us about the tax
right off for the lottery because I want a good
chunk of money in the lottery this year, so I'm
going to be dealing with it as far as the
taxes next year. So she said, yeah, save all the
losing scratch tickets, Powerball mass cash all those tickets, save
all the losing ones, and those can be written off
up to the amount of what I want. She said,

(36:29):
she knows people that actually go into trash barrels and
everything else to take all losing things.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
I'm like, I'm also with that.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
That's good point, though.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
I would tell you I knew a guy that did that.
He would go around to the trash inconvenience stores and
he won ten thousand dollars on a ticket that was discarded.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Did he have to, like, he just took and he
cashed it in.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
That's incredible.

Speaker 5 (36:50):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Crazy. Also this morning, we had Jay
Shetty on That's so cool. What a legend.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
This guy is amazing.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
I mean, he was just dropping heat. We talked about anxiety,
he talked about the digital zones, he talked about all
that stuff. But we also talked about his recent interview
with Selena Gomez and Bennie Blanco. We loved it, and
apparently he did too.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
It was incredible to have such a beautiful conversation with
both of them, and it was amazing to see people
all over the internet talk about positive masculinity and healthy love,
and I think it's made everyone hopeful to find real
love again, which is beautiful.

Speaker 5 (37:26):
Yeah, you can listen to the entire interview. It's really
good on the iHeartRadio app. The podcast page searched Billy
and Lisa in the morning, that's where you get it.
And also, I know it's April, but we're already looking
at Halloween.

Speaker 19 (37:39):
I can't believe I'm saying this in April, but I'm
already excited for Halloween. If you guys dress up as
the cash from Severance, because to see Billy as Erv,
oh god, it's gonna be epic. And Whinnie is Dylan awesome?
Who's gonna be Bert?

Speaker 11 (37:58):
Though?

Speaker 5 (37:59):
Who's Burt b It's played by Christopher Walking.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
And that's that's gay. I have a gay love's in
love with Bert. But Bert's is the gay lover coming
to Halloween with us.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
We'll find you.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
We have to find her. I mean, we have to
find Bert.

Speaker 8 (38:17):
Maybe the sales guy Matt that sits right outside you.
He's like age appropriate.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
I'm asking him out.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
You don't understand I I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
For this happen.

Speaker 8 (38:32):
I'm not even a big Halloween girl.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Somebody has to show me a picture of Earth right.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
Now, I got you, I got you right now.

Speaker 5 (38:39):
It's John Yeah, oh you know, I don't know who.

Speaker 8 (38:43):
He is in real life.

Speaker 1 (38:43):
You have to have a must you have to have
a homely when you think of it. But do you
have the picture? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:52):
We have Halloween like now, yeah for real?

Speaker 1 (38:56):
Wait, who's going to be milk Chick? We need someone
to be Milchick?

Speaker 11 (38:59):

Speaker 8 (39:00):
We had to dit it down. We're a small show.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
We won't have a lot of people. Okay, so I
have to wear suspenders in a mustache.

Speaker 8 (39:06):
Throw your mustache back that you have?

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Yeah, the porns down right. Yeah, we're in on this.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
So we have Mark, Helly, Lisa, Winnie, Dylan, Billy's IRV.

Speaker 8 (39:16):
Well, we're gonna find a sales got to be his
gay lover.

Speaker 2 (39:18):

Speaker 8 (39:18):
And then and then Riley can either be Wong or Melcheck.

Speaker 5 (39:23):
Okay, oh she could be wrong. And then we just
need a milt check. Who can we have here in
the building.

Speaker 1 (39:27):
It's four inch ninety four five. Let's go.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
On, here we go?

Speaker 1 (39:35):
Oh man, oh, we're back tomorrow morning, believe it or not.
And at seven to ten we've got another shot at
qualifying for the Free Car. Tom Brady may or may
not call in tomorrow on the show. Either way, he's
confirmed to call in this week.

Speaker 5 (39:50):
I've been on the horn with this with with your
son Chris, Tom's team. Tom is gonna be calling in.
He's just a busy guy. Of course, he's in London,
he's here, he's there, he's got a team. So it's

us being on the air in the morning and then
the Mighty one following us into the door.
