warmest day of the week this week? What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Definitely for the week, we're going to hit like upper seventies.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Maybe eighty.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Yep, maybe maybe eighty.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
We'll take it.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Gues that happen yesterday was beautiful.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Oh outside Vitamin D going to be even better today.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
How about the weekend? All rain Friday and set.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Friday into Saturday.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah, okay, have a nice weekend.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
You know what, you know, it's a one day at
a time life. Enjoy today.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, it's a good Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Wow, Well you want good news. We're giving away one
thousand dollars at nine to ten this morning. Who couldn't
use a thousand bucks. Imagine if somebody walked up to
you and just handed you ten hondas. Better be a
good thing, right, A good day. Well, that's what we're
gonna do it nine and ten. We're going to hand
somebody ten hondas all right.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
Yeah, we were late yesterday. We were about ten minutes
late on it. We were very busy with the Belichick story,
so we forgot to give away the money and people
were dming me and leaving talkbacks like we were sitting
here waiting for a thousand bucks.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Nine ten.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Right, we'll be on time today.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
I didn't realize we were ten minutes behind.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I'm so caught up in the Belichick story.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah. By the way, we've got more whoa TMZ all over.
Dave Portnoy now speaking out on it. We were looking
for him yesterday and he luck finding Portnoy for the show,
for the Billy and Lisa Show. I did send him
a message. He did not get back to me yet.
He may not have seen it, Okay, I don't know.
(01:52):
He's a busy guy. Does like ten podcasts and a
lot of pizza reviews. Yeah, what does he do? I
always wondered, like, does he oper right out of his house?
Does he have a big headquarters in Florida? A lot, right, And.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
There's the barstool headquarters that they have. They have a
ton of different podcasts.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
And studios, and he has like he has a house
in Nantucket.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
He does a very expensive one.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Oh, he's got a beautiful spread.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Of he's a nantucket guy.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, let me ask you something about Portnoy. Is Miss
Peaches still around? We were just wondering she was everywhere
the dog. Does he still have Miss Peaches?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
He does, I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah. Remember he used to dress her up in gowns
and walk the red carpet.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
As you know what.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
I'm sure she was very happy, don't You wouldn't do
that too bad?
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Totally. He's a good boy. Oh, he's a good.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
You should tight us up with peachas that'd be a
cute little couple.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Power couple, right, I love that. Oh yeah, I'm gonna
give him a bath on the docks today. Okay, break
out the hose, soap him down, give him a little
rubbed down, a little grub, and a little kiss. Absolutely
a lot of kisses. Good boy. We have a topic
(03:07):
this morning. The topic time is and I hope you're
all all okay With this spring water, bottled water that
everybody carries around every day. Is it real or is
it fake? I'm having trouble imagining tens of thousands of
people standing ankle deep in a spring up in the
(03:29):
mountains bottling water. How can they have that many companies
and that much water?
Speaker 2 (03:35):
Well, I did a little research for you, Bill.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Oh okay, so we'll do that when we come up
on topic time. We have research and if you have
thoughts on that, just give us a call six one
seventy nine. And how do they get to the dark back?
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Justin You can leave your message always twenty four hours
a day on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 5 (03:51):
Just you know.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
When you listen to kiss want to wait, look for
that little red microphone. And by the way, what's your
favorite or not so favorite type of water?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah, you're not so crazy, That's what I want to say.
And my research bills onto something.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
I've known it all along. You know what else is fake? Organic?
You ever notice all of the items you've seen over
the years in the produce department and all over the supermarket,
all of them, all of a sudden, at the same time,
became organic. Like now, all they do is put the
word organic on something and it makes it organic. I
think that's fake too.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
And more expensive. Wow, you're full of conspiracy theories this morning? Yes, okay, I.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Think I'm a little paranoid this morning. Maybe that's what's
going on.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
Well, the water thing came from Billy ranting about the
water thing this morning before the show.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, he wants me to drive up to Maine and
stand there.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Springs.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
That's where he wants me to go.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Okay, hold on, you've been to pull the actual springs company. Yeah,
like where they have them.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
You can't actually go into the spring, but you can
see where like the.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Property Okay, fenced in.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
No, isn't it a building?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
No, it's like springs.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
You went to the actual property.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Did you pour water for yourself?
Speaker 7 (05:06):
No?
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Were there people bottling water? Not that I saw, because
that's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 8 (05:11):
It was.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Of course, it's a famous company. They have to have
some place you can see.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Well again, I think Poland Spring is that's my favorite water. Yeah,
I actually think that that's very authentic.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Okay, and no, I think I'm actually currently drinking Liquid Death,
which is mountain water very popular. On the bottle, it
says Rocky Mountains in Idaho and then the Blue Ridge
Mountains in Virginia.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Why do you think they say the Rocky Mountains in
Idaho and the Blue Ridge Mountain. Why do you think
because no one's going.
Speaker 6 (05:45):
There's going to go in funny is it's packaged in
l A.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
That doesn't make sense.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
I'm telling you. I'm on the Let's say we'll talk
about a seven fifteen.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
My mom lived in Maine, way up there, and they
would go I don't know where they would go, but
they would go fill buckets and they would try to
give it to me, but I wouldn't drink it because
it was the buckets were kind of ah. But there
are springs somewhere. We'll investigate.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Okay, So that's topic time, which we do at like
seven forty this morning. We'll begin to discussion at seven fifteen. Okay,
do we have time for my very moment yesterday?
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Oh my god, we have to tell this.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
We do it from the Planet Fitness Kiss one Away studios,
but we're back with Villy and Lisa in the morning kiss.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Okay, So awkward moment here in the building yesterday. I'll
try to do this as quickly as I can. But
Lisa Dunnaman and I we go on WBZ TV News
every morning right before seven o'clock. Yesterday, we were going
over to WBZ to shoot a couple of things with
the problems. Yeah, and by the way, shout out to
Paula and Chris and Sean and the whole crew over there.
So anyway, Lisa had a makeup person come to the building.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, shout out Mia. She came to the building and
we set up in one of the public bathrooms next
to the elevator. So she was in there. At nine
point thirty, I came in. She did a little jug
you know, before we had to go over to Besy.
And then Billy says to me, Hey, is there anyway
she could you know, jug me up? And I was
like sure, you know, while I'm changing in the stall. Again,
(07:16):
this is a public women's bathroom.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yes, it's not the one inside our company. It's the
one out in the public.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Hall in the building. So Billy walks in.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yeah, So I walk in and me I had the
whole counter laid out with makeup and everything, and yeah,
I could hear Lisa tussling in one of the stalls
and she said, okay, and we're going to do it.
So while I waited for her to be ready for me,
I looked into the mirror and I got my scissors
out of my dop kit and started trimming the hair
(07:44):
around my ears.
Speaker 9 (07:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Again, I don't know why I did that. But I
did it. And as I was doing it, looking in
the mirror, Lisa's standing there and address and the makeup
person is there. In walks a woman into the ladies
room and there's a guy me trimming my hair and
my nostril hairs.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
With a makeup artist.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah, and who's this woman? And I don't know she
ran out?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah, but I know for a fact there's going to
be a report files. I mean, because the look she
gave me when she never said a word, it wasn't
like oh, like I looked over to the right and
I said, oh, That's all I said was oh, And
she was out the door.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
She ran away, She ran away.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Do you understand, justin no one ever uses that bathroom, right, yeah,
it's empty all the time. That the fact that one
person walked Ina, you were there.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Walked for a makeup too. No, no, no, no, I
hadn't gotten to the makeup to me yet. I was
standing there trimming my hairs and and like literally had
the scissors in my nostril when she opened the door
and walked in. And I'm thinking how unusual that must
have looked for her, you know, And no comment at
all just turned, turned around and left.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
She's horrified. I got to track her down.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Now there's going to be a happening wide building, wide
report sent out there there was a man in the
women's room.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
God, Billy, I would slap your face right now if
I couldn't want to get a handful of man makeup.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Now the entertainment updates with a Billy Cops and there
it is.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Okay, Celts and the Magic Game five in Boston tonight.
Celts win tonight, they wrap up the series. Jalen Brown
questionable for tonight. Jason Tatum will play with the wrist injury,
and why not he had thirty seven points to the
other night. Tatum, I playing injury.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
I know what I'm dealing with. My team knows how
serious it is. But you know, it's that time of
the year.
Speaker 10 (09:36):
You know, we all sacrifice in our bodies and doubt
anybody fills one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Game five tonight, TD Garden eight thirty start.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
What are we watching? The first quarter?
Speaker 8 (09:48):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Yeah, I think the first quarter. See how they're going
out of the gate. Socks by the way, going to
be in Toronto tonight. President Trump yesterday welcoming the Super
Bowl champion Eagles to the White House.
Speaker 7 (09:58):
Throughout their extraordinary She's in the amazing group of warriors,
and that's what they are. They're really modern day warriors,
inspired the world with incredible spirit, athletic dominance, and exceptional teamwork.
And you made the Eagles fans everywhere really very proud.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Say Kwan. Barkley got an added bonus.
Speaker 11 (10:19):
I offered him a ride on Air Force one because
I was coming down and usually they say no, no,
I don't think so he said, I'll take it, sir,
and he loved it.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
We love being together.
Speaker 7 (10:32):
He's a great He's a great young guy.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Okay, I mean, who wouldn't want to go on Air
Force one?
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah, on Air Force one.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
We got to talk about the Belichick Jordan thing again
this morning, his interview with CBS, where Jordan kept interrupting. Apparently, Lisa,
it was a loss a lot worse than we even thought.
Speaker 6 (10:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
She actually delayed the interview for thirty minutes. She stormed out,
And the most baffling thing is that she started budding
in when he was answering questions about football. She would
stop and correct him. They showed up without anyone from
his PR team or from the publishing house for the book,
which was interesting.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
So she is everything his publisher, his agent, his manager exactly. Yep,
this is amazing to me.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
And it's also saying this isn't TMZ. This is a
TMZ report that UNC is now concerned about Hudson's influence.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Of course, i'd say.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Especially with her taking role as his manager, and there's
a growing sense that this could become a problem. This
is again, this is a TMZ report.
Speaker 12 (11:35):
Now.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Yesterday, at one point in our discussion, we were wondering
what real sports people think about the Belichick Jordan mess.
Apparently a lot of them reached out to Dave Portnoya
svent to.
Speaker 13 (11:46):
Ten ex Patriot players in my DMS, being what the like,
it's crazy. I believe his answer was truthful when he's like,
I do what I think is best for me, and
he's got an attractive young girl and she's just very
much like the CEO of that. And I've heard this now,
I've known this. She runs the Belichick surprises and she's
(12:08):
coming in there.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Like this is about the book.
Speaker 13 (12:10):
It's not about like the book is about coaching football.
It's not about my relationship.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
You're not going to talk about it, and they did.
Speaker 13 (12:17):
She must interrupt a thousand times.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
Wow, how do you think this is going to end?
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Well, there could be a method to her madness because
we're talking about the book. Yeah, and you know it's
going to force people to look at the art of winning,
which comes out I think on May six.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
And she's getting a lot of attention, which I think
was her original mission.
Speaker 8 (12:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
And then she was posting yesterday on Instagram from Nantucket.
It was daffodil weekend, past weekend, and she was laying
in the yard in front of the daffodils.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
What's interesting is that when the little feud that was
that was had between this show and her about the
cheerleading comments. You know, when I talked to her, she
was focused on the cheerleading comments. Yeah, and she said,
my relationship with Bill is I don't care about that.
You know, I'll talk about that. She was more about that.
Now all of a sudden, she doesn't want to talk
about their relationship. Yeah, you know, it's kind of strange.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
By the way, just to announce the Miss Main USA
pageant that Jordan is entered, and we looked it up.
She's officially a contestant is going to have its first
ever transgender contestant and that's going to be happening. I
think May eleventh and twelve, something like that. Yeah, in Portland, Portland, Maine.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Who are we sending up to cover the event? I'll
go yeah, yeah, okay, oh wow.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
So on Mario Russo is one of the sponsors.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
You should go, try to get it. Yeah, try to
get an interview.
Speaker 5 (13:32):
Lease not talking about this.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
You can sit right up front with the Mario Russa people.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, I'll be one of their assistants.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
All right, Oh okay, we're on it. Buffalo Bill's GM
Brendan Bean went off on a radio host who complained
he didn't grab a wide receiver in the draft early.
Speaker 10 (13:48):
It was just listen to the last few minutes so
your show before it came home, waiting on here. I
was like twenty eighteen all over with you guys. Well,
you guys were in twenty eighteen about Josh Allen. You
guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys are that
we don't have a receiver. But I don't understand it. Now,
you just saw us leave the league in points. When
you add all the postseason no one scored more points.
(14:09):
You just saw us do it without Stefan Diggs saying group,
How is this group not better than last year's group?
About wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I've heard.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
I'd love it if someone called in inside yelling at Billy.
That'd be awesome.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
Put down the lipstick. By the way, the trial for
those guys who robbed Kim Kardashian at gunpoint in Paris
is finally underway. It started yesterday. Meantime, one of the
suspects recently died, and Kim is supposed to testify May thirteenth.
(14:42):
You remember the bound and gageder in a bathtub in
Paris during Fashion Week.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Yeah, I was really scared and they stole.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
A lot of that could have done a lot worse
than it did. Scar and the Usher's concert movie, Rendezvous
in Paris, will stream on be et Plus starting May eighth.
And latest on the Blake Lively madness, Travis Kelce has
unfollowed Ryan Reynolds, now suggesting the Justin Baldoni feud is
(15:10):
getting between Taylor and Blake. Weren't they best friends?
Speaker 2 (15:14):
They were best friends and this is a big deal.
I think when a guy unfollows another guy.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Yeah, you think Taylor said okay, I've.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Had it, or said give me your phone.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Oh yeah yeah, give me your phone for a second.
Speaker 6 (15:30):
Travis is super like supportive, so he's probably if you
guys are the ones that are causing her strife.
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Hey, I don't want to see it.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Yeah okay. So Jack Black just set the record for
the shortest Hot one hundred hit his song Steve's Lava
Chicken from a Minecraft movie. It's only thirty four seconds long.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
I saw the movie. It was it was really entertaining.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
It makes me laugh.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Yeah, it was really good. It's so silly, but really good.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Others on the list in the top ten are in
the Grande's Pete Davidson song is on the list. It's
a minute thirteen.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
I thought you were into my life sleep in my mind?
Speaker 5 (16:05):
Yes, if I saw a time line.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
Okay, yeah, that didn't go well either, And Beyonce's song
Forward with James Blake on the list a minute nineteen.
Speaker 5 (16:22):
Talks down.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Yeah, but I mentioned when he's on sleep medication this
rolling around in her head.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
She looks like she's about to kill old allergies. Well know,
she took like sleep medication. So I didn't know what
I took.
Speaker 6 (16:47):
Took algie relief and apparently it makes you drowsy, drowsy.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
She could very well wet herself today on the show.
I'm just saying, finally, role model who did the MGM
Music Hall in Boston last week on fallon last night? Yeah,
good band, good band, and you know what, a lot
of songs with the word Sally.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
And a justin There really are a lots on it,
very popular.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
Role models on the Sally thing. Hey, we're brought to
you by Dover Rug. There is an art, you know,
defitting carpeting along a staircase, a curb wall, cutting and
binding it perfectly like a well made suit. It's not
just the material, it's the tailor. I eat dover Rug
Natick Boston, Burlington and online dover rug dot com. And
there you go. Whatever you do, don't fall asleep.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
From the Planet's fitness Kiss one Away Studios. Foy're back
with A Villy and Lisa in the morning on Kiss.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
A couple of things first, A Lisa're gonna beautiful perfect
out there today.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah, it's gonna be like close to eighty degrees in sunny,
So just get out. I know it's a Tuesday. Just like,
be outside today as much as you can.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Yah, do what you can. You know what, Cancel school,
cancel work. No, I'm just kidding, but just you know,
spend some time outside today if you can. If you can,
don't forget the Celtzer to back in Boston tonight, Celts
in the Magic eight thirty tip off tonight in the
TD Garden. If the Celts win tonight, they advance to
the next round. They're up three games one in the series.
Justin handed me a story a couple of minutes ago.
(18:14):
Apparently this has gone viral on social media, and the
question is it's a hypothetical question. I don't think this
has happened yet. But the hypothetical question is, could one
hundred human beings beat one silverback gorilla in a fight.
Speaker 14 (18:32):
For the gorilla? We are assuming that this is essentially
the strongest gorilla possible. Of the four gorilla species, easily
the largest and strongest would be a silverback Eastern Lowland gorilla.
At the absolute largest, gorillas can stand over six feet
tall and way between four hundred and five hundred pounds,
the largest ever being about six hundred pounds or even beyond. However,
this fails to capture how a gorilla's overall proportions drastically
(18:56):
exceed that of a normal human, with a wingspan of
over eight feet, drastically more muscle mass and far less
body fat in comparison to the peak gorilla. The group
of humans will be made up of one hundred average people.
There will be no boxers, nor mma fighters or athletes,
and instead it will just be one hundred totally normal
people with totally normal physical stats. With there being an
(19:18):
equal number of men and women.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
They don't have a chance.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Okay, no weapons, right, no weapons, Okay, just your bare hands. Yes,
I'm one hundred percent going with the gorilla. Me too,
one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Yeah. You need to understand, first of all, it's the
most amazing creature on earth. Have you seen a silver
backup clothes? It's just incredible. And I have so smart
and they're so strong. No, I don't think one hundred
average people don't stand a chance against a silver back.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
I know, I was playing it out in my head
thinking about it, and I want to go with the gorilla.
But think about one hundred people like all at once,
all at once, So you'd think the gorilla would just
run through with this, you know, just banging everybody down.
But at some point it may one get tired or
two might get attacked from the back or the sides
when it's trying to fight from the front.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
But again, if there are no weapons, what's the what's
the human.
Speaker 14 (20:08):
Going to do?
Speaker 2 (20:09):
Try and like put them in a choke hold.
Speaker 4 (20:11):
Oh great, that'll work.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
I don't think so either.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
But here's the other thing. Every time you see gorillas,
silverback or otherwise, they seem very peaceful. Maybe he wouldn't
even fight.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
No, no, they'll attack. If they're being attacked, they're going
to fight back for sure.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
Silver bacs are insane freaks of nature. We are talking
two hundred kilograms of pure and muscle crushing bots and
the character take down some more trays out of their roots.
Speaker 4 (20:36):
So typical silverback gorillas are about four hundred to five
hundred pounds, with some as big as six hundred pounds
and again an eight foot wingspan, So put your arms
out eight feet.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
That's why I'm going with the gorilla.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
Think about just swinging and patting everybody down. Anyway, that
debate is raging online.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
That's amazing that It even came up to me like
it's raging online. But who started it? It started on Reddit.
It was a question posed on Reddit, and then people
start sharing it and giving opinions. What happens is is
the Internet is torn. Some people are on one side,
other people on the other. Yeah, it's hard to pay
attention because when he's sleeping right now, you have no
she's asleep. She took benajol this morning.
Speaker 8 (21:20):
I saw the story first thing when I woke up
this morning, and I'm looking at the box of our
allergy medicine and I'm like, she wrote to pop a
fed and drill at five am.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
She's going to be sleeping by six and she look
at her.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
We have to get her out of the studio too.
Speaker 6 (21:37):
He took to say one to two for adults.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
But why did you take.
Speaker 6 (21:44):
I have the worst allergies they have claring in you know.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Okay, I think it's awesome because anything can happen. It's
produced to Riley, ready to go if we need yea she's.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Doing if I collap, I'm not sleeping.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
You were just asleep that whole discussion. You were sleeping.
Speaker 6 (22:05):
You talk about the eight foot windspan wingspan I'm measuring
my fingers.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Yeah, I walked into the studio and when he was
in here alone. And when I tell you, when I
walked in, all I saw with the whites of her eyes,
there were no eyeballs in her sockets. There were just
two white, the whites of her eyes. She came into
my studio and she's said, yeah, yeah, I talk to you.
(22:32):
She couldn't even talk. I don't know what I did.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
I thought you just algy.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
All right, We'll do your best to continue the show.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Kiss.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
So you know, occasionally I come up with these strange theories.
I don't know where they come from. They just pop
into my head and I believe them. Okay, And one
of them is And I've had this one for a
long time. Spring water. Now, I know I'm gonna sound crazy,
but when I tell you, for years, I have believed
(23:04):
that the whole spring water industry is made up. You know.
You see, you got the Poland springs, You've got the Dissanita,
You've got so many different waters. Where's all this water
coming from? Okay, there's no way they like where people
are standing ankle deep in a spring.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
All right, So natural spring water, which is what like
Poland Spring says it is it's typically sourced from natural
springs where water emerges from the ground, often passing through
layers of rock, and that makes it naturally filtrated and
mineral enriched. So that's what you think.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
You're this is enough water to feed multiple nations.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Okay, so that's what it's supposed to be. They're saying
that water that is labeled spring water is sourced directly
from springs, but some may be from municipal water sources
that have been purified and then labeled as spring water.
So that's the difference. So you're actually onto something.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Wait, so that's misleading.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
It is misleading, right.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
So they can lie and say it's from a spring
when it's not from a spring.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
So a lot of them can just have a similar
filter to the ones we put in our faucet, in
our sink, in our kitchen or something.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
It says that while the FDA sets regulations for bottled water,
including what you're saying spring water, it can be difficult
for customers and misleading to verify the true source and
purity of every single brand.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
I knew it well.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Look I like some brands better than others. I'm a
Poland Springs guy. Not a fan of Desani. It tastes
kind of weird to me.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
I don't believe that Poland Springs is you know, I
only drink Poland Springs, but I don't believe it's that.
Speaker 15 (24:37):
It's your girl Sarah from Maine. And this might be
stereotypical of me, but I only trust Poland Springs water
to be actually spring water. There's been all kinds of
land water battles, so I know it actually comes from springs,
and the water that we get from our taps literally
tastes like Poland Springs. You go other places or other
(25:00):
bottled water and it just tastes gross. And most of
it is just filtered tap water.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
So no, thank you.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
I was right, Yeah, I was right. A lot of
these spring water companies quote unquote, are just coming from
the tap with a filter on it.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
It is I don't like.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
I don't like the Sonny water. It tastes weird to me.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
A lot of people say that I never get it,
so I don't know. I don't get the other by
pepsi or Coca colas. Yeah, yeah, one of them.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Boy, Fuji's okay, Fuji's okay.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I don't like that.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
It came out with the cool bottles.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Sorry, yeah, they have the cool wash.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
The foodies were a wrap grouping.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
I like Liquid Death, but it's it does taste like
the can.
Speaker 8 (25:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
I'm not going to drink water cans.
Speaker 6 (25:43):
I only drink it's cool to look at I don't.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
You please open your mouth when you speak out and
not drawing what I'm not drawing? No, she's right.
Speaker 16 (25:53):
Oh my goodness, Fred, what is wrong with you? Have
you never taken Bend before? That is the nighttime allergy man.
You take Clarendon or Zyrtech.
Speaker 11 (26:05):
During the day, somebody's gonna have to drive frid at home.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
It's in a fall, asleep at the wheel.
Speaker 16 (26:11):
Have a good nap during.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
The show and we'll see you tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
It should be fine.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
It says four to six hours it'll wear off.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
So yeah, when the show is done. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Anyway, back to the.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
Water thing, Can I say something else? The other thing
that really makes me question the legitimacy of this spring
water world, Like every day there's another one. Like Liquid
Death is probably the most popular water out there right now,
right it's a trend. You got to get the new one.
It's a liquid death that's in the can, that's got
a great name, it's very cool. That doesn't make it
good water. I'm telling you, I am onto this.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Well, that's good marketing on their part, that's all. That's
all it is.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
But it's in a can.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
Yeah, I mean overall. I mean Saraha Main said it
right there. Usually water tastes like water, you know. I
was watching some reviews, so in Maine you can actually
go to these faucets of water that comes from springs.
You can pull up with your car and fill up
a bottle. And they were these guys were doing it,
and they said it tastes like water.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
It's not. Yeah, where does the spickett lead is being
fed going back into somebody's car? Like it's like really
like you think they're really tapped into the rocks and
gone deep under the surface of earth. I want to
believe a bottle of water.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
I want to believe that Poland Springs does.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Let's go to Debbie and wal Damn online pe Hey, Debbie, hello,
go ahead, join the conversation. What do you think I'm.
Speaker 16 (27:35):
So excited about you guys talking about water. I've been
trying to advertise this water for a year.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
What water.
Speaker 16 (27:43):
Icelantic water.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Oh, that's good.
Speaker 4 (27:45):
I've had that.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Of course. It's good because it has Iceland in the name.
You don't think they knew that.
Speaker 16 (27:53):
No, it's no. It tastes really good. It's like one
of the best waters in the world. I just I
can't stop drinking it.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
You're right, I love it too.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
Now what does their packaging look like.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
I like it looks like Iceland. It's it's the it's
the country of Iceland.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah, it's beautiful.
Speaker 4 (28:09):
A picture of.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
The entire country is on the bottom bottle. It's three
bucks a bottom bottom. Yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Ironically. Have you guys ever had smart water?
Speaker 13 (28:19):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (28:20):
What do you think of smart water?
Speaker 5 (28:21):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
It's good marketing, right, because you feel like you're going
to be smarter.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
You don't think that was the roundtable discussion. Hey, I
have an idea. Let's put the word smart in it
and everybody will think it's smarter water.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Well, it has electrolytes added to it, but technically it
says from this report that it's from municipal water supplies
and underground water.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Yeah, it's coming from the public works.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Electrolytes.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
All this rage from Billy the guy who steals water.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Yes, I intentionally try to steal a case of water
every time I go to the market. I put it
at the bottom of the carriage, assuming they're not going
to see it.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
Hey guys, and welcome back. Yes, it is topic time.
A couple of minutes ago we kicked off the topic.
We're talking about spring water, bottled water, spring water, call
it what you will. What are your favorites? What are
you drinking these days? Let's let's start with Tasha. There
are so many to choose from Tasha's in Maulding, Maulding.
Good morning, Tasha, What do you think? What are you drinking?
Speaker 5 (29:22):
Good morning?
Speaker 13 (29:24):
Now? How do you guys ever had a because let
me tell you that water is so good, so much
better than Poland springs.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Okay, all right, that's your opinion. But I do like aquafina.
Speaker 8 (29:36):
I do.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
I've definitely had it.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah, that's a going you know. And i'd like the
packaging too, you know, happy packaging.
Speaker 16 (29:43):
I think, I don't know, like I feel like it's
just so clear.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
It's just okay, I gotta stop you right there. Han okay,
because every water I've ever seen is clear. If it's not,
I'm in trouble. Not every water.
Speaker 16 (29:58):
Tastes the same, but not everyone it tastes the same.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Yeah, okay, yeah, good. And by the way, I say
hi to Malden for us. You know Justin's from Malden.
Yeah he is. Yeah, she's still there.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
Okay, Okay, I could have, like, you know, relived my
past there, Winnie.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
You just hang out, you like, don't want to go
back there. Maria, that's a good point. I almost almost
understood what you just said.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
She's as high as a kite when she's on Beneedo.
Speaker 13 (30:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Let's uh, let's go to Marie. She's in Medford. Good
morning Marie, your thoughts on water?
Speaker 16 (30:36):
Good morning. How are you guys this morning?
Speaker 3 (30:38):
We're great. How about you? What's going on?
Speaker 16 (30:41):
Well, I'm doing great. I just wanted to share. So
reverse osmosis something that's placed right on your own kitchen
saucet and can be stored in glass bottles instead of plastic.
I'm not sure if you're Awia that the plastic they
say is not good for your health. So we have
a reverse osmosis that was placed on our kitchen sink
(31:04):
and we never have to buy bottles water. And my
husband and my husband my son are both plumbers and
they install these systems all the time and the water
tastes amazing.
Speaker 3 (31:14):
Did you just give a plug for your husband and
sons plumbing it business? That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (31:19):
So it's right, you know what.
Speaker 16 (31:21):
I'm just being completely honest that this system is amazing
and you never have to carry cases of water in
your home again. It's just an amazing.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
So you're just taking your own tap water and making
it right, which is what.
Speaker 16 (31:36):
They do exactly. There's a whole filtration system that goes
right below your sink and it goes through all these
filters and it comes out a separate faucet. It's a
smaller faucet that's placed on your sink where you're where
normally your dispenser for like this soap would be, and
the water goes right through all these filtrations and it
comes through. And one of my boys does a lot
(31:58):
of research on plastic bad the plastic is for our environment,
for our bodies, and so we just store it in
glass bottles and then we put it in a yetti
or any type of the.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
You're really get this a lot of thought. Well, so
you keep a Yeti cooler filled with bottles of water
that you got to know, we fill a.
Speaker 16 (32:17):
Yeti's in the morning right from our glass bottle and
then we never have to worry about any of that.
Now we have it right here, and you know what,
it's a little expensive to put in, but it's worth
every penny.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
We're gonna look it up.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
The reverse auce motion, and you know the manner of
the britta. Yeah, we've had Britas.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Okay, so I think we did. Yeah, let's go to Ingrid.
She's in West Roxbury. Good morning, Ingrid. What do you think?
Speaker 16 (32:41):
Good morning everybody. So water bores the heck out of me.
So I do like hint water like a hint of taste.
I can't do born watered the heck out of hint.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Has like a hint of like you know, grapefruit or
it just has like a little hint comes with it
have different flavor. It's a can and it has just
a touch of like a flavor.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah, do you think it's really lemon or lime or
grapefruit or is it like a spray or like it's
a hint.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
It's a hint.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
It's a hint of taste. Yeah, that's what it is.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah, I don't think i've seen that one.
Speaker 9 (33:18):
Have any Okay, I have a filter on my refrigerator.
That is my favorite water. We should not be walking
around with plastic water bottles dies.
Speaker 16 (33:29):
No, just kidding.
Speaker 9 (33:30):
I mean it's true. But if I had to pick
a favorite, it's Poland springs.
Speaker 17 (33:33):
It tastes really good.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
I actually drink a lot of water from my fridge too.
I have a filter.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Meet you on my fridge.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
And by the way, it's fine. Yeah, it tastes great.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Yeah, I'm drinking.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
I'm drinking it right now. If you have a gallon
container of water from.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
You refrigerator, yeah, and I'm just fine it and it
tastes great.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
I'm just saying, good morning.
Speaker 14 (33:51):
It's lucy.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
I grew up drinking water out of a garden hose.
Speaker 18 (33:55):
I don't know how many times I swear there was
a bug or a spider or some sam that I drank.
Speaker 3 (34:01):
But I'm just fine. So I don't really care too
much to buy a lot of water from the store,
but where I.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Live, the water tastes kind of funny, so I do
buy one for the house. Other than that, give me
a good old garden hose. I have to say the
same thing. When I was growing up, we did that too.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Come on, come on.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
You Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
And plus the bug has a little.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
Protein of course, you know what. It make your immune
system strong, not gonna hurt, you know.
Speaker 12 (34:29):
Talking about water, my favorite thing about going to Ireland,
because that's where my husband is from, is the top water.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
Oh is it?
Speaker 4 (34:38):
Is it good in Ireland?
Speaker 3 (34:39):
I don't know how.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
When I went to a Ruba last summer, they have
the cleanest drinking water in the whole world.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
I heard that.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
So they say, well, it's where happiness lives. Yeah, Like,
you don't need to buy bottled water in a Ruba.
You drink it right from the sink in the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
And you know what else is interesting that previous Talkbacker
sounded like she could use a glass of water.
Speaker 12 (35:03):
I want to start off by saying I hate water.
You know, my doctor drink more water, drink more water.
I just hate it. My boss here drinks a bougious
waters i've ever seen. She spends all her money on
these giant blue bottles, all these crazy waters they water.
We have a dispenser here that is allegedly filtered. Well,
guess what I think. The pipe leads right to the bathroom.
(35:25):
No thanks, you know what I say, have a nice
cold glass, a diet coat.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
There we go for a diet coat.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
You know what's funny. Every morning Lisa and I go
to the water dispenser in the wall.
Speaker 10 (35:38):
We do that.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
They say has a filter. I don't know if you
were to take it off the wall.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
I have to change the filter after a while.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
That's a big thing. The last time.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Yeah, you never want to look at the filter.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
I'm sure. I'm sure the water tastes great right out
of the wall. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Our buildings pretty good. They're pretty top of, on top
of the maintenance and stuff, so I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
I'm sure it's fine.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
Good morning, guys.
Speaker 17 (35:57):
I love listening to you every morning. With At my
first talkback, so bear with me. I needed to tell
Billy that there is a show called down to Earth
on Netflix if he hasn't seen it with Zach Efron,
and it's great and one of the episodes they go
to France and they explore all the different types of
water and it is absolutely fascinating and he needs to
(36:19):
check it out. Down to Earth not like have a
great day, guys.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Oh, I'm going to watch that.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Watch see so I'm onto something. If they've got a
whole series called down to Earth. Yeah, they're looking.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
Into the investigative reporting.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
By the way, shout out to her first talkbacker.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
We love that.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, first timer. Yeah, yeah, please and thank you for listening.
Speaker 18 (36:37):
By the way as well, Good morning, mama Lisa here.
I am an avid water drinker, about one hundred or
so ounces a day. With my water, I always add
Crystal Light, so the brand doesn't really do anything for me.
I like the different flavors that I can add to it,
keep hydrated. Everybody, have a great day.
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Crystal Light like an Olivia Newton John.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Such a throwback, but I'm still around.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
It's good and it's sugar free. I believe.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Was it Suzanne summer to launched Crystal LT I forget
I'm not sure. I'm not sure. When are you awake
over there? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (37:17):
No, I had a caller for a billion Dave drops,
so I wanted to change the caller's name.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
Okay, all right, Well when he took to Benadryl on
accident this morning, so she's a little sleepy.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
Come on, guys, we.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
All know this is such a winny stunt take to Benadryl.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Get all sleepy, pretend like.
Speaker 16 (37:32):
She did it on accident to get out of work.
Speaker 14 (37:34):
I bet she even washed it down with some fake
spring water.
