Welcome to the #CharlotteIsCreative podcast. Today’s show features hosts Tim Miner and Matt Olin speaking with Sense of Doom, Seems Legit, Oy Vey Marie, Crashberry Jam and Dill With It of the Charlotte Roller Girls, immediately following the April 6 Creative Mornings Charlotte event at Park Ten lanes, where the Rollergirls spoke about the global theme of “Game.” The ladies of the Charlotte Rollergirls, as a group, delivered a fantastic talk during Creative Mornings, and then sat down with Matt and Tim immediately afterwards to record the podcast. They talked about what being on a team meant to them, what the sport of roller derby has taught them, how creativity impacts the game, and what Charlotte can learn from Roller Derby. Register for the next Creative Mornings Charlotte event Friday morning, May 4 at 8:30 a.m. at Resident Culture Brewing Company in Plaza Midwood. The featured speaker will be Charlotte artist and sculptor of the Captain Jack statue in Midtown, Chas Fagan, about the global theme of Committment. RSVPs will open at 9 a.m., Monday, April 30. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #CharlotteIsCreative, and tweet us @CM_CLT whenever you see Charlotteans showing their creativity.
