As the church we are to be defined by one specific characteristic according to the Bible. We are to be defined by our love for one another. This often means dying to selfishness in our own lives and surrendering our desire to be noticed. Jesus knew He was the son of God and at the last supper He humbled himself and washed the disciples feet. The greater chose the role of the lesser and by His divine power He works in us the same mind and heart.
