I love strong women and Natalia Volz fits the bill perfectly. I loved this conversation about grief. We talk about the purpose of grief, the lessons it can teach us and how to move through it. It might not seem like it now, but grief is a powerfully educational and healing process. Conversations like this give you a new window through which to look at the past. Thank you Natalia. Natalia’s expertise is based on her first hand experience with loss and grief. In 2010, after an almost two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, her husband died at the age of 49, leaving her to raise their three young children alone. Natalia felt completely devastated, lost, alone and broken. In spite of a lack of understanding and a fear in our culture about loss and grief, Natalia worked hard to move beyond her grief and rebuild her life. She read every book she could get her hands on, attended programs and groups, completed grief recovery certification training, and in the process became passionate about making a difference in the way our culture and individuals deal with loss and grief. Natalia hopes that you will walk away from this interview with a deeper understanding of a subject we normally avoid but will all have to face first hand at some point in our lives. She’ll be giving you tools to help yourself, and others in need, to not stuff the pain, but instead heal the pain after a loss. Natalia lives in Pennsylvania with her three teenage children. She is grateful for the opportunity to now guide others beyond the pain of unthinkable loss to a life full with purpose.
