What's Got Our Attention on Today's show is video games: are they getting too expensive?
It seems like after you spend $60 on a game, you have to spend another $60 to get all the extra content you really want. Or maybe you game on your mobile device and are addicted to free-for-play games? That's a lot less expensive...at first. But those in-app purchases that you so desperately want - nay need! - end up costing a small fortune over a prolonged period of time. Death by a thousand cuts!
Thanks to the cost of games and the non-stop add-ins, DLC, and an array of extras, video games are the single largest entertainment industry in the world. But is this business model healthy? Or are consumers starting to vote with their dollar and demand a better value for their investment?
