In this short cut episode The Pop List digs up an interesting and almost forgotten snapshot of American history.  In 1981, some 5 years before Stephen King's novel "IT" brought scary clowns to the forefront, the US was plagued with "phantom clown" sightings in several major cities.  Late 2016's resurgence of such sightings may have been more widely reported but as you'll hear in this episode they are no where near as influential as the original phantom clowns of 1981.
