UR 166: MySecureFamily and Open Your Purse

Tray and Melody are talking My Secure Family and the event benefitting MSF called Open Your Purse happening September 21st. Listen to hear more about what Tray and Mel are doing to prepare and equip parents with the tools  and knowledge to protect their children in the world of technology.

There will be a ladies only event at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook, Alabama. This is a wonderful opportunity to gather with a community of women at a dinner benefitting a incredible initiative.

The Open Your Purse Benefit is unlike any event Birmingham has seen and gives you an opportunity to wear your giving on your arm while positively impacting families in our community.  

Proceeds from the Open Your Purse Benefit will go to support My Secure Family, an initiative that seeks to help equip parents and grandparents in protecting their children from online dangers and other inappropriate content and to encourage and empower individual responsibility in the age of technology.  

One exceptional woman will be presented the Power of the Purse Award, given to the woman who brings the most women to this inaugural event to encourage philanthropic support and awareness within the community.

My Secure Family will provide a community for parents and grandparents that will equip them to effectively shepherd the hearts of their children and to innoculate them from the harmful impact of pornography and other sexually explicit content. My Secure Family will inform parents on the constantly changing digital landscape and help them navigate current issues like cyberbullying, gaming, social media, and online digital safety.
