Emma Goldman moves to New York City, where she quickly gets entangled in a love triange with aspiring anarchist Alexander Berkman and their mutual mentor - the notorious newspaper editor Johann Most. Then, Goldman, Berkman, and their friend Fedya run an ice cream parlor in Massachusetts until a steel strike hundreds of miles away captures their attention. After the Homestead Steel Strike turns into an armed assault on the strikers, who have been locked out of their homes, Alexander Berkman concocts a violent plan to rally workers around the world. Featuring guests Tom Goyens, Paul Krause, and Randall Law.

Alexander Berkman, on trial for trying to assassinate one of the most powerful men in America, decides not to hire a lawyer. Back in New York, Emma Goldman is arrested for incitement to riot after telling a crowd of thousands to go and steal bread if they're starving. Featuring guests Nolan Bennett and Tom Goyens. 

Although she had nothing to do with it, Emma Goldman is caught in the aftermath of President McKinley's assassination. The press turns against her even after she is cleared of all charges, and the federal immigration chief declares that she ought to be deported.

During a murderous coal strike in Colorado, Alexander Berkman leads protests in John D. Rockefeller's hometown. Three of his friends are killed when a bomb they're building explodes in their apartment, and Emma Goldman is furious at him over his management of Mother Earth while she was away.
