We just watched episode 20 of AustralianSurvivor
Brains versus brawn twoand there will be spoilers ahead.
We open up on day 40where there are only seven players left.
Wow, wow, this season just flew by, right?
That's a long time to be out therewithout a bed.

(00:23):
Oh, and Miles feels that he is on a high.
He is feeling greatwith the postgraduates, and sees himself
going to the final threewith AJ and Kaitlyn.
Yes, and he's doing his poledancing there.
Yeah, yeah.
It's good to see him keeping his hobbiesup while he's out and on the beach.

(00:44):
Right.
We see Kaitlyn and Milessaying that they weren't Christian out
because she's playing too hard,which is very interesting.
But I feel like we haven't heard a wholelot about Christian playing really hard.
We know that she tried to flip the boatto Zara when Karen went home.
It didn't work out.
She tried to do something last night.
It didn't work out.
I haven't seen hermake a bunch of big moves, but I guess

(01:05):
just the fact that she's tryingmakes them makes her a threat to them.
But she is trying, right?
Morgan hasn't done anything.
That's true. Kate tries a little bit, but.
But Christian's good in the challengesand individual challenges.
She seems to be able to hold her ownvery well.
And I guess she's very likable. Right?
So from a jury perspective,that does make her a threat.

(01:25):
Well,they decide to go into Operation Lockdown
where they are not going to shareany information with anyone.
Which kind of feels likehow things should happen just naturally.
Right.
They have to do itbecause they said AJ talks too much.
So it's a good idea because he does.
He does like to share the plan.

(01:46):
Right? Constantly.
He wants to be on both sides.
I guess it's a good idea,but it's kind of funny
that you have to tell your alliancespecifically not to tell anyone.
On day 40.
You're right.
This is our game plan. Don't talk.
Yeah.
Meanwhile, Kristen is targeting,Zara as, as an ally.
So she's looking at it, thinking that,you know, there's

(02:06):
three boys, three girls,and then Zara right in the middle
and is thinkingmaybe she can have Zara target Caitlyn.
Yeah. Seems like a logical plan.
Yeah.
She said Kaitlyn's in everyone'stop three.
And he has a lot to say.
You know, he'swon a lot of immunity challenges.
He is not making any enemies,so it doesn't

(02:28):
have anyone against him on the jury.
So I can see why he's a target.That one make sense to me.
And I think people generally like himalso.
Yeah.
I think he's a nice guy.
He's not playing a mean game. Right?
Yeah.
He's not backstabbing anybody or anything.
Well, well, we think Kaitlyn is a threat.
Zara thinks that she is a threat.
She says that she's an endurance threat.

(02:48):
And she's worried
that the boys are going to target herbecause she is such a threat.
Which it is their plan.
They said that at the Final Four,they're probably going to cut Zara.
Right, and take just the boys to the end.
So she's very intuitive with that.
But you never knowwhat's going to happen, right?
You never know who's getting the right.
Every day it changes right fluid.

(03:09):
Who's going to win. Right?
Well, we go to immunity,which I have to say, I was kind of sad.
I wanted to see a reward.
I always like the reward, but.
Wow, what a crazy immunity challenge.
Yeah.
So you have to hang on this incline.
You are gripping a pole.
And as you're hanging theretrying to keep yourself on
the beam, basically,they're spraying water at you, right?

(03:31):
Well, note to self,do lots of pull ups. Right?
Work on that upper body strengthbefore you go.
Really? That was crazy.
And that so many people didso well. Right?
So I noticed right off the batthat there seem to be two different,
ways of doing it,
like people were doing itwith their elbows bent
and people were doing itwith their arms straight.
And to me, straight armslooks a lot more difficult than

(03:53):
bent elbowsbecause at least you're bent elbow.
You have a little bit of room to to slide.
Right. So Miles had his elbows bent.
But I can't remember exactly who it waswho had their arms straight out,
and it just looks so uncomfortable there.
They did.
Yeah. So did Kate.I don't know Brady for sure did.
And AJ was the first to,leave ten minutes,
but he was up there for ten minutes.

(04:14):
That's that's a long time. Yeah.
But maybe it was due to his positionof his arms not bending his elbows.
Yeah. Yeah.
I mean it didn't. Work out for him. Right.
And then they didn't. Work out for mileseither.
No, he was out fast. Yeah.
Well he was there for 20 minutesthey said.
And then the rain started coming.
Yeah. That seems enough to makeyou want to quit, right?
You're holding on to that thingin the rain, trying not to slip your feet.

(04:37):
No traction with the rain wasn't enough.
Then they make their own rain, right?
Bring them with what they're sayingis cold water.
That sounds absolutely miserable.
You're hanging up there.
And his.
Aura said, this is uncalled. For, right?
But that was honestly.
I don't think they knew thatit was coming.
But who knows, maybe maybe some of themobserved it on their way up.

(04:57):
They saw the water linesbecause there must have been.
You must have been able to see something.
I don't think Zara is there.
No, I don't think she knew.I don't think she knew it was coming.
But I know it's like taking a cold showerfor 20 minutes, right?
Yeah, yeah.
Looked miserableand we can see all the mud dropping down.
Everyone's so dirty, right? Right.
Kate drops off at 20 minutesand then Zara out and then Morgan.

(05:21):
It's like boom, boom, boom. Right?
And then the showdown was Kristenand Kaitlyn.
For some reasonthat always seemed to happen.
Like 3 or 4 people drop very quicklyand then it's down to two.
They must just figure,I can't do this or something.
Maybe it's the editing,maybe they just do it that way
so that we can get to the showdown. Baby.
Well it's interesting as always that.
But the people that are talkedabout as the target at the

(05:43):
beginning of the episode are now goinghead to head for the immunity wedding.
So this is going to mess upsomeone's plans.
However this works out.
But I did think it was interesting.
Zara just called herselfan endurance threat
and then she drops immediatelyor not immediately.
She did pretty well, but.She did very well.
Kristen is a bigger endurance threat.
Yes she is. Yeah, as well as Kaitlyn.

(06:04):
And even Kate and Morgan.
I was a little bit disappointedthat they didn't
make it a little bit farther,because Kate had done
pretty well in endurance in the past.
And Morgan, you know, being an Olympian,I guess I was expecting her
to come out on top,a few more of these individual challenges,
and she really hasn't been,
bringing it as muchas I would have expected from an Olympian.

(06:25):
But she's a track woman,so her legs are very, very strong.
But maybe her arms aren't.
I mean, they all look very, very fit.
And they did do a very poor thing, Rachel.
They were there for a very long time.
Not long enough for Rachel. Yeah.
I think it's just incrediblethat anybody was up there.
Yeah. You're right.It looks like you could go all day.
You would have fallen off after fiveor 10s, right?

(06:47):
I think I'd never go on survivorcan do this, but I thought it was funny.
So in the 80s, asking Jonathan, what's the record for all the necklaces?
Right.
And I don't know who someone said,well, Miles knows,
and sure enough,he said, Brooke from the fifth season.
Somebody from All-Starswon five individual immunities,
and Kaitlyn was up for his fifth immunity.

(07:07):
One. Right.
Very impressive.
But Miles just sitting out in Samoa
on day 40 can just recallwho has the most individual wins.
Oh it was.
Yeah.
So he came out armed with the knowledge.
And it has been helping himin this game. Sure.
And putting it, to work.
And so it's always funny to see

(07:28):
you know the fans as players right.
Instances like that.
But he also knows a lot about games too.
And the chances and you know,the game of chance and statistics.
So he's very good.
Yeah it's a good goodpick from casting the season. Yes.
And then Kaitlyn does it.
He ties Brookewith five individual immunity wins.

(07:52):
Wow. So he beats Kristenand he will be safe at tonight's immunity.
So it's very impressive to get fiveindividual, individual necklaces.
Well, I give Kristen a lot of credit, too,because she's really hung out there.
She did a excellent job.
Yeah, and she's probablythe oldest player out there right now.
And so very. Aggressive.
That she's giving everyone elsea run for their money.

(08:14):
Right? Yes. For her.
So it's too bad, though,that she didn't win
because her target was Kaitlyn. Yes.
So when we get back to camp, and this part is kind of funny,
we see Kaitlyn and Kristen talking
strategy as Kaitlyn says, oh,I can't tell you anything.
We're in lockdown, right?
Which again,it seems like it should be obvious,

(08:35):
but you don't tell anyone,
but you don't tell them that you'renot going to tell them anything. Yes.
I feel likewe're going back to the basics of day one.
But I do.
Understand was the graduateswere all sitting there talking
and they said, if
anyone has an individual,I'll idle in my office like no one does.
No, I don't think anyone does.
Well, hello, Miles.
You saw Kristen get the idol, right?

(08:57):
She didn't play that mapperwhen she stepped over.
He stole it from her.That was one of the item.
Like, oh, I completely forgot about that.
Okay, so she never played it.
Scratch. Well, I said.
Miles played it for her. Is that it?
Was that the seed went.Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah.
Because it could it would have saved PDbut instead it pulled them out.
That was that was me.That was a good move.

(09:19):
It was a good good survivor move.
It was. It was I.
Hey if he gets to.
If he gets to the end, he'llbring that up.
Yeah.
Well, speaking of idols, Kristen hearsfrom one of the tribe mates that
they are not going to tell her anythingbecause they are not working with her.
So why is she not out theresearching for idols?

(09:41):
I don't know.
I feel like one time.
Yeah, they're just hanging outof the fire, working on the fire.
Everyone was involved.
They told you that they're voting for you.Go find one.
But even if you find oneand someone sees you,
find it, that still doesn't meanyou just play it for yourself, right?
You're in for another day.
Wear it around your neck all day. I'm.

(10:01):
I'm playing this today.
Better than nothing. Right.
And then it may be for nothing.You may play it for nothing.
But you stayed. Yeah.
So the original Braun women are notthinking about looking for an idol,
but AJ has a contingency planin case one of them does have an idol.
He's the only one thinking about it.
So he says,let's just do a three, three, one split.

(10:22):
Just in case there's an idol.
That way we just have something to go offof, and Miles says, nope, absolutely not.
And Kaitlyn is like,yeah, let's do the split.
And it's very interesting that Miles is sodead set on not doing any sort of split.
I don't see the harm.
He doesn't even seem to want to listento the logic behind it or anything.
No, he was kind of rude, I thought to AJand Kaitlyn, but Zara agreed with them.

(10:46):
Sara said keep it simple.
I think Myles and Zara have a little bitof concern that AJ's playing both sides.
So because we know that he has a closerelationship with Kate,
but it oh, I don't know that this.
Was his hidden trick to get one of themout right to vote Myles out or something.
But I don't know.
It was very interestingthat they were just so dead set on.

(11:08):
No one has an idol. It'snot a big deal. Don't worry about it.
Because if they didit would have really messed up their game.
Oh wow. It would have. Yeah.
It'd be like it'd be three three then.
Right.
If they had. No.
And they played it properly, right.
Yeah. It could be pretty bad.
Which is why Myles.
Is saying don't say anything to anybody.
We don't want them to know.
You know here's, here's the simple plan.

(11:30):
ZIP it.
Yeah. Don't say anything.
So they would still havea one third chance.
So Christie goes over. To talk to Zara.
And she saidwe're gonna try to get AJ out.
And it would have been Kaitlyn.
But since Kaitlyn wonthe immunity challenge, it's AJ.
And Zara is not exactly thrilled with thatbecause she explains on camera
that she's been alignedwith AJ since day one.

(11:53):
She said.
Yeah, I guess it's it's hard to tellwith all this fluid, you know, alliances.
It's hard to remember that.
Zara, they have been together since dayone, but I guess they have, right?
It seems so long ago and so many,so many switches
back and forthand almost getting voted out, I.
The next part I really likeKate says she wants to talk to AJ

(12:15):
and then you see AJ talking to Kate Morganand he they want to know a name.
They want to know name.And he's like trying to say stop.
But he isn't.
And then Morgan gets upset.
She's going to go eat.
And then AJ says well into this camera.
He has a soft spot for Kate.
Beautiful eyes and smile.
And Kate knows that she was hopingto use her beauty to get him to speak, but

(12:40):
he did want to give him a name,but he is trying.
I mean, he was.
He almost them again.
Kristen you said.
He said I don't like Kristen or whatever.
He said.
He basically said the name.
I just didn't say, right, I've.
Told you everything or something,right? Right.
But I didn't tell you.
But anyway, it was just I thought for surehe's going to go blow everything up.

(13:01):
Right? Yeah.
Well, that conversation, made me a little bit upset to watch
because, Morgan said, you know, well,if you're not
even if you already have a name,then what's the point of talking to you?
I'm just going to go focus on eatingand thinking,
why are you focusing on eating?
If you know they're voting for you,go look for an idol and try to change
his mind.

(13:22):
I'm very upset todayabout the lack of idol looks.
And then I guess there was a little bitit looked like
Kate was searching for an idola little bit towards the end, but
it felt like, Morgan was just giving up.
She was just like, well,then I'm going to go eat.
Right.
Oh, she was just too frustratedabout the situation I bet I know.
Yeah. She still has an option.

(13:43):
She's not even throwing out pitches.
She's just like. Yeah. No she isn't.
Well if you're not going to work with methen I'm not going to work with you.
Right, right.
And that brings us into tribal,where that conversation is continued.
Now, I think Kate did a great jobat tribal.
Yeah, she was really pitching for Zarato come over and make a big move.
She kept saying,you don't want to play a boring game.

(14:03):
This is a boring vote.
You have our votes.
And you'll be chucked away later. Right?
And you'll be the top of our allianceif you help us vote somebody out.
But Myles was bringing up good points too.
He was saying,you know it's a sideways move.
There's no net gain either way.
So you may as well stick to themwhich is fair enough.
I'm thinking if I'm Zarawhat's the advantage of going

(14:26):
with the brown girls versusthe the brains men.
You know, it's the same thing.
Yeah.
I'd be voted out at either one.
You know, you're one of four and. Yeah.
And is it really that big of a move?
I don't know, to swap at this point.
But like I said,I give Kate a lot of credit.
She really, really tried.

(14:47):
And then Myles right back at her
was fun to see Kate Mylesgoing back and forth with each other.
But well I think that we can all agreethat AJ and Myles are playing the game
and they're playing it hardand they're going to be hard to get out.
That Sara could have gottenone of them out and had something on her,
her resume, as they say, right.
Saying I got AJ out, I got Myles out.

(15:07):
She could have done that possibly.Yeah. So yeah.
I stayed with the boys today and.
Well, they did.
Make that. Yeah they did, yeah they did.
I know I'm just saying in the long runif you want to say hey look what I.
Yeah you're right, you're right.
So farshe's kind of not making a big move.
So yeah that would be the advantage.
Rachel saidwhat would be the advantage of switching.

(15:28):
That's what I think.
Yeah. You're correct.
You're not sure that's goingto get you all the way to the end.
And I'm not sure that's going to winyou the game.
But yes.
No I don't. So that's a problem.
That would be a move. But she'd be gonethe next.
Right.
Next because the three womenaren't going to keep her.
Yeah.
Yeah I think if,if Zara could make it to the final three
with Kate and Morgan,I think Zara could win.

(15:49):
Yes, but when she would win my opinion.
Yeah. And I don't. Think they won.
Yeah, yeah. NoI think she's playing a really good game.
I think she could beat KateMorgan or Kristen,
but I don't think, you know,if she would have flipped with them here,
she wouldn't have made it to the finalthree. It wouldn't have taken her.
No. Whereas I guess on the flip sidethough, could she be AJ or Myles?

(16:10):
I don't know, but she has a better chanceof getting to the end then.
I think that AJ and Myles,if they have to, if they can,
they're going to get Kaitlyn outbecause he's won
so many thingsthat nobody wants to go up with him.
Up against him, right.
You don't want to be one of the final twoor final three with him.
But that's what they said in the previews.

(16:30):
So you need to get rid of them.
You need toyou need to get rid of Kaitlyn.
So I thought I'd have a chance to be therewith Myles and AJ.
Yeah, no doubts.
I will say though,I feel like Kaitlyn has,
been pretty much just a pawnand AJ and Myles game,
so it may actually benefit themto go up with him
because they can say every movethat you did, I told you to do

(16:52):
you know you want your idols,but that was it.
You did. It. That's true.
Yeah.
So I don't know.
I think there's a lot of possibilitieshere with the final three
on who would win.
So a very exciting point in the gamethat really anything could happen.
Well I thought was fun.
And Kate wants to talk to Zara
and she says we're following Mylesor switching instead of AJ.
Got them for miles.

(17:13):
And Zara saidwell I like that better than AJ right.
So then you're thinking,well now is she going to switch?
I know and then when AJ's votinghe turns around, says I didn't hear.
I wasn't part of the whispering.
So I'm telling you I'm right downwhat I said this afternoon.
That was funny.
Yeah, well, what was interestingis the reason

(17:33):
it felt like why they switchedthe vote from AJ to Myles
was because Myles and Morgankind of got into it and Morgan got mad.
Yeah let's get Myles right.
But I feel like I have to sidewith Myles on this one.
He was saying you know Morganand I didn't pitch to each other.
And she was kind of getting upset sayingwell you didn't pitch to me.
And he's saying well I already had a plan.
I didn't want toI didn't want to work with you this time.

(17:55):
And that's okay.
You don't have to work with everyoneevery time.
Your votes not needed for the wayI envisioned it going.
Yeah, he was a little bit harsh, but then.
I think Morgan way he is. Yeah.
Yeah.
Morgan seemed offended
that he wasn't pitching to her,but then she didn't offer any ideas.
And I think this is,my critique of Morgan in this episode

(18:17):
is that I feel like she's notshe wants everyone to come to her
with a plan, but she's not offering any,at least that we're seeing on camera.
And I would like to seethat more from her in the game.
Yeah, but anyway.I think she's playing a great game.
Like I'm not positiveshe's a survivor fan.
Now I have to AJ Miles and Zara
I think are the top three peopleplaying the game right?

(18:40):
Yeah.
You have to put Kaitlyn in there
because he is a challenge beastand that does count for things.
And then Kate would be the next onebecause she's trying.
And MorganI don't see Morgan trying at all.
No I mean she really doesnot seem to be doing anything.
Yeah.
I wonder if is it editing
that we're just not seeing itbecause it seems so odd that she's,

(19:01):
you know, this strong person out hereready to compete.
You know, she's an Olympian.
She should have this fighting energy.
And so why isn't she pitching anything?
Is she just getting overshadowedby Kate on the cameras.
Are they just painting it that way,
or is she really just not coming upwith any big moves?
I don't know. 40 days without any protein.
Yeah. I mean, maybe maybe she's tired.

(19:23):
I don't know.We haven't seen anyone catch a fish.
It seems like in weeks.
Yeah, I remember a lot of peoplewould see their fish and everything.
Now we haven't. Seen. Oh,yeah. Kane should be doing that.
He seems to fit the mold ofwho would go fishing.
Well, maybe they're not showing it
because they did a lot of,tools to get right there.
But once in a while you see someonescooping some rice into their mouth.
But yeah. And drinking. Again.

(19:45):
Sara is always eating something very hardand looks horrible.
Is that the out.
The coconut, I think.
But the shell with the brown side.
I think you just bite offthe inside of the coconut.
It just looks. Horrible.
But she's always in it.
So good for you Zara.
Well, going into the vote,speaking of Zara, I was convinced
going into the vote that Zara had flipneed to work with the bra.

(20:06):
Yes, I thought this is the timeto play the idol.
Yeah, because I'm watching her and theysaid, hey, sorry, can we speak with you?
And if she didn't want to vote, themshould have just said no.
That's okay.
But she got upand she listened to their pitch.
And so was thatbecause she was genuinely curious?
Was she actually considering it?
Was she managing themin case they did have an idol?
I don't know, but I was fully convinced.

(20:29):
I thought so too.
And I'm thinking,all right, when Jonathan said,
if you have an idol, you know,now's the time to play it or whatever.
And Myles didn't play it. I know,oh my God.
You're going to go homewith the idol in your pocket.
Oh my gosh how can you do this big fan.
But he knew he did it.
You know he knew that Zara was goingto stick with them I guess right.

(20:51):
He also didn't knowthat the votes were coming on him.
No, no since I was so last minute.
But yeah,
I mean, how crazy would that have beento have these three huge idol plays?
And then the fourth one,you go home with it in your pocket.
That would be terrible.
Okay. So you're Zara, right.
And then they saywe're going to vote on Myles.
And then you go back to your seats.
Do you turn to Mylesand say they're voting for you.

(21:12):
No she didn't.
She didn't know.But would you guys do that.
What do you think.
Do you think because you knowyou're not voting for Myles right.
You listen to their plea.
I don't know I'm I'm kind of a chatterboxI like AJ
so I think I would haveI might say something to Myles.
Maybe we wait till the vote is over andthen just lean over to Myles and go yeah.
You know it's like point to himand say now's the time.

(21:36):
Well I guess she knows Zara knows exactlywhere every vote is going in this vote.
Right. She knows she does that.
There's only the three women votingfor Miles and she would be the fourth.
So if she decides to vote for him,of course she's not going to say,
hey, play your idolbecause that blows up her boob.
But if she's not going to vote for him,then.
She knows there'sno need to even tell him.

(21:56):
Yes, you're right.
Okay. Why?She was that she was the kingpin.
Yeah. So there's no need to. Yeah.
Say it at that point.
But she should go back and say,hey, you know, they did tell me.
But, you know. I say to Myles.
Yeah, but anyway, Zara stuckwith the original brains
that she stuck with the postgraduates,sending Kristen to the jury.

(22:17):
So Kristen did give a good pitch for,
Kaitlyn initiallyand then for Myles later on.
So she was playing the game.
Well, give her credit for that.
She was definitely, a huge, threat to Kaitlyn in the challenges.
She really went toe to toe with him.
So congratulations,Kristen on a good game.

(22:38):
And then in her confessional,she said she was shocked.
Yeah. She reallyI mean, I was shocked too.
I thought saw her was voting there.
I know, but it had to beone of the three, you know.
And yeah. She's the strongest.
Well something interesting was that Zara
said in her little confessionalwhen she read out her vote.
Well said that it was because of that sparreward

(22:59):
is because she was voting for Kristen,
which is so interestingthat it's all coming back to that.
Right?
I will you take that?
Yeah. That's why it's so important.
That's why it's maybe not the best to win.
No rewards, just you get invited to one.
But yeah, it it's funny toobecause Zara was saying
this is the best thing that everhappened to me because now I have these

(23:20):
not going on the reward.
I'm with the malesand I am forging the alliance.
So I don't know, I was.
Kind of weird,but who said. It right? Who knows?
Well, either way, Kristen joins the juryand we are down to the final six.
Wow. Yeah.
So how many more episodes so far?
So last night there's no.
Yeah.
No episode tomorrow.
So there should be two next week.Is that it?

(23:42):
And then is that it.Is that going to be the finale?
I know we'll have to look into itif you know, let us know.
Yeah.
I feel like we know that there.
But what an episode.
Another good one kept us guessing. Sure.
Let us know who you thoughtwas going to go home.
I thought of something else.
So Miles has that idol, and he can onlyplay it in the next 1 or 2 trials.

(24:03):
Right?But he won. Seven final five. Yeah, yeah.
So he wantseverybody to know that he has it.
What if he doesn't?
What if he has to play it?
But he knows it's not for any if it, ifit won't be to his advantage to play it.
But he knows it's not for any if it, ifit won't be to his advantage to play it.
And he won't. Play it,do you think he holds on to. It? Yeah.
I don't think he's going to play it. He'snot. He's not.
Okay. I'm just curious.
I don't for a souvenir.
Yeah, yeah,
I think I'll wear it around his neckand tell everyone he's taken home.
Right.

(24:24):
So just to prove that he.
He had it and he didn't need it.
Nobody's ever done that, have they? Yeah.
Yeah I think, yeah.
But I wonder if he will need it.
Because Miles is always tryingto maneuver the game and make big moves.
And he says all the time that you know,he wants kind of like that excitement,
the big moves. So yeah.

(24:46):
So I wonder if you knowhe sees this path for now, but
maybe it's too boring for him, but maybehe will need his idol to shake things up.
To get rid of AJ.
Oh maybe.
Yeah, I don't know.
They're pretty equal.Yeah. Right. Right. Yeah.
This would be the time.
