(00:01):
Sleigh girl sleigh.
Welcome back to another episode of Goal Slayer.
I'm your host, Caitlin, and I am so fucking excited that you are here today listening tothis specific episode.
And here's why.
We are talking about one of my most favorite subjects, which is how to sustainably growyour life and business.

(00:25):
And the word sustainable, I know it's not super sexy, but
Here's the thing with scaling and with growing and stretching.
All of those things tend to make us feel like we have to subscribe to the do more hustlementality.
And while we still have to have action, we don't need to have all the action.

(00:50):
We need to be intentional about what we're doing and how we're doing it and who we'redoing it with.
So
That is what we're going to be diving into today because I know as an entrepreneur, thereis this pressure to do all the right things.
And then we do the right things and we're not feeling what we thought we would feel whenwe were here.

(01:14):
And that's super fucking frustrating.
So I want to deconstruct all of that that goes into that and also talk about how we canfinally like escape.
from this overwhelm and still achieve all that big shit that we want to do.
So are you with me?

(01:34):
Before I get into the meat of this episode, I want to invite you to an experience like noother.
And here's the deal.
It's completely free.
You will find the link down in the show notes.
And it is to my two day master class experience.
This is where we're going to go beyond six figures.

(01:57):
Now, this class is for you even if you haven't yet hit six figures in your business.
Here's why I named it that because oftentimes as an entrepreneur, it's like grow yourbusiness to six figures.
And it's like this elusive number that's out there in the stratosphere.
And while six figures, it's great.

(02:18):
It's oftentimes not a really well thought out goal, meaning there is something deeper onwhy we want six figures.
Is it because we want to retire our partner?
Is it because we want to send our kid to private school?
Is it because we want to help our mom pay off her mortgage?
Is it because we want to travel the world?

(02:39):
Is it because we want to give back to a charity, a foundation that we care about?
So there is something so much bigger on why six figures and understanding what you'redoing and why you're doing it is so valuable and who you are when you get there.
Because I'll tell you this, my business has reached six figures multiple times.

(03:02):
And the way I have felt along the journey has been very different.
Not all six figures are created equally.
And I don't know about you.
but I would much rather be at 60, 70,000 K and feel so good and so rich than at 200,feeling burnt out, depleted, disconnected.

(03:24):
And it's not saying that one has to exist or the other because trust me, this is about howyou get to the one, two, three, seven figure even business and still feel rich.
is because how we feel is more important and more valuable than anything.
So what we're going to be doing during this two day free master class is number one on dayone, we're going to identify the three mistakes that are keeping you stuck.

(03:53):
And day two, we are going to be introduced to my aligned growth formula.
Okay.
This is where we're going to audit your business and your life and find the disconnects ofwhere your energy is being used.
and not in a way that you say that you want it to be, OK?
Because we say we want all these things, but yet our actions are not matching what we'retalking about, OK?

(04:17):
So it's subconscious.
It's not something you're doing on purpose.
And until you go through an exercise like this, you don't even know that it's happening.
So I would love to invite you to this really incredible experience.
I have never offered a master class like this before.
It is going to be very just

(04:37):
diving deep, getting right into it, no BS.
And it's me and you for two days, one hour each day dedicated to you.
Okay, so all the details are in the show notes.
Register, show up live if you can.
If not, there's a replay, but I hope to see you there February 26th and 27th.

(04:58):
All right, so let's get into it.
I want to know if you have ever felt like you're doing.
all the right things.
Like you're following all the advice.
You're ticking the boxes.
You're showing up.
You're reading the books.
You're hiring the mentors and you just feel like it's not enough.
Raise your hand.

(05:18):
I'm raising both hands.
Okay.
You can't see me, but I am right.
have absolutely fucking been there and it is horrible.
It's horrible.
Like literally nothing worse.
So why does that happen to us?
Right?
Because we're doing what they say we should be doing as
You know, if you want to be a successful entrepreneur or experience rapid growth, do thesethings.

(05:39):
And so we do it.
And then we don't get the results that we're looking for.
Why does that happen for some and not for us?
And so here's really why.
It's because we are following a success path, if you will, that belongs to someone else.
And it looks really good on the outside, but it doesn't.

(06:03):
actually work for our lifestyle.
I'm going to give you an example.
When I first started my business, I thought that a successful coach meant you were seeinglike 10 to 15 one-on-one clients.
You were having the designer bags.
You were flying on the private jets.
You had over 50,000 Instagram followers.

(06:26):
you had a perfectly designed website.
Okay.
So I thought that that was all the things.
So trust me, I chased all of those things and I put myself in horrible debt, like horribledebt.
Okay.
I am still coming out of that hole.
2023 was the year of reckoning.
I am still getting to a point where I can share these stories from a place of power andnot sitting in it.

(06:51):
Cause it was, it was hard you guys, and that's hard to admit that
I felt like I needed to externally validate myself to fit into this coaching world.
And I know now that that was obviously just massive imposter syndrome and also just beingsteered in the wrong direction.
And my internal compass was not aligned.

(07:13):
But I truly thought that that's what I needed to be successful or to be perceived assuccessful.
I knew I was good at this, but I wanted others to take me seriously.
And so.
I did all the things that they said you should do.
And what happened was I ended up in debt.
I ended up feeling resentful.
I ended up feeling like, is this all worth it?

(07:33):
And so it really brought me to this place of feeling really lost.
I just felt like I'm so confused.
I thought that this entrepreneurship thing was supposed to bring me freedom.
And it has brought me everything but.
So what is happening?
This led me to feel even more overwhelmed because again, I was doing all the things andthat clearly wasn't the solution.

(08:03):
So now I was like, well, what do I actually need to do?
And so what I, what I ended up sitting down and here's the other thing too.
I was also looking, I had wonderful mentors.
but many of the mentors that I had didn't
didn't align with the same lifestyle I did.
So for example, they all either had, they were on their first marriage, they had a partnerwho brought in a high revenue, provided the insurance, and they had the luxury of growing

(08:35):
their business on their own.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
However, I could not relate.
I didn't have a parachute.
Okay.
I didn't have a backup plan.
The other thing is a lot of coaches and role models I worked with didn't have children.
Again, absolutely.
That was a choice that they have.
Great.
Awesome.

(08:56):
However, when you have kids, are different things that just happen in your life.
And another person you're responsible for, that it is not the norm, especially with mykid, who needs me all the time.
to just like get up and like sip coffee and have a slow morning.

(09:16):
And I'm like, my God, I want this so bad.
And I felt like I was wrong if I couldn't achieve that.
And it just wasn't realistic for my lifestyle, but I was feeling like I had to choose andit was just causing this internal conflict.
So really what I did was I sat down and I really thought about what does my version ofsuccess look like?

(09:41):
Not financially.
For some reason, we just imagine finance and success together.
And oftentimes, they do go together.
But there's so much more to success than just a number.
So I really thought about what that meant for me, and then what were the best practicesthat I needed to do on a daily basis to align with those things, to align with that

(10:06):
version of success.
And it started small.
It was like, stop pressing snooze.
Get up early.
Do your workouts.
Do your gratitude journal.
Show up more on the podcast, because podcasting is where I really love to be.
And I was finding this to be a burden, which is why I quit for so long.

(10:27):
I took a six-month hiatus, because I was just feeling like, that's not where I'm going tobe spending my time.
But then I was like, Caitlin, that's what you love to do.
So.
I got realigned with best practices and with the version of me that I equated withsuccess.
And what happened was that started to shift pretty quickly.

(10:50):
And all of a sudden, these miserable feelings that I was having inside sort of dissipated.
And I was able to really step into this full version of who I knew I was meant to be.
And
That is when sustainability really started coming in, because no longer was I checkingeveryone else's boxes.

(11:13):
I was managing my own boxes.
So how do we do this?
How do you find your unique path?
Well, first of all, we're going to dive into that in the master class.
So again, I hope you register and see us there.
It's in the show notes, completely free.
But I'm going to tell you three things that you can start doing immediately to help you.

(11:35):
understand how to focus on your unique path.
So the first one is, first thing is trust your knowing.
So no one knows your life or your business like you do.
You can borrow all the strategies that you want, download all the tools, all theworkbooks.
But the next time you go to implement something, ask yourself, does this feel exciting andaligned for me?

(11:59):
Or does it feel like a box that I'm forcing myself into?
If you're not into LinkedIn,
Don't go on LinkedIn.
If you don't want to do Twitter, don't do Twitter.
If you don't like networking events on Zoom, go in person.
So don't just do something because someone said it was a good idea.

(12:20):
Maybe you're open to trying it and you might surprise yourself, but oftentimes trust whatyou know.
And if you're not lit up about it, people are going to feel that.
The second thing is check in with your energy.
If you're constantly feeling drained, it's a red flag, babe.
Alignment and achieving this success and this next level is not about doing more.

(12:44):
It's about what doing what lights you up and moves the needle that helps you feel good.
Not moves the needle that brings more dollars into your bank account, but brings things into help you feel good.
Because I guarantee you, once you align with what feels good, money comes in abundantly.
You don't have to.
to you don't have to pick one or the other.

(13:08):
OK, again, this is not an either or.
This is a both and.
We live in a both and world here at The Beam Life, so you get to have it all.
But most importantly, I don't want you to get all the money and not feel good.
That is not what we are here for.
And third is focus on what's working.
A lot of times, as humans, we're kind of wired to like, OK, we've been doing this a longtime.

(13:31):
Now I'm going to try something else.
But it's like,
If that's been working for you, why are you deviating?
Chances are you've been so busy keeping up that you haven't actually celebrated what ismoving your business forward.
Like you might have a kick ass referral system, like are you're getting clients becauseclients are referring them to you.

(13:53):
Maybe you don't need to have paid ads anymore.
Right?
Like what is working for you double down on that instead of constantly looking for ways tofix things.
And the last thing is rebuild that trust with yourself.
Because if you've outsourced a lot of your power, then it's going to take time to rebuildthis trust.

(14:15):
I know it did for me.
And really checking in with yourself, like, is this what I want?
Or is this what my coach suggested?
Is this what that workbook suggested?
Is this what the experts on the internet are suggesting?
You are the CEO of your life.
Okay, and it's about fucking time that you start to trust yourself because the clearer youbecome, the next steps reveal themselves to you instantly.

(14:38):
Okay, you will know what to do if you stop looking away and start looking within.
So again, this is one of the most important skills that you can create as a businessowner, which is internal trust.
It's also one of the most difficult, okay, because...
inherently we are taught as women that we can't trust ourselves, that we need someone elseto make decisions for us.

(15:01):
And we have got to dismantle a lot to get to that point where we can begin to trustourselves again.
So this is something that I'm wildly passionate about teaching you how to do becauseagain, you are your own author of your story, the CEO of your life.
Insert whatever it is that you want to captain of your ship, right?
Whatever metaphor feels good for you, insert that there.

(15:25):
But it is time that you take hold of that power and step forward in a way that you feelmost aligned with.
I hope I see you for the Beyond Six Figure Masterclass Blueprint.
It's going to be amazing.
February 26, 27, completely free two-day experience where you will walk away with moreclarity than you've probably had in the last couple of years.

(15:54):
There is a replay, but showing up live is where the magic happens.
So I hope I see you there.
I will catch you back here next week.
I love you all so much.
Never forget it.
