April's gonna April, with a couple of forgettable action flicks we're mixed on as we wait for the summer blockbusters to arrive.
We begin with "The Accountant 2," which is the sequel to "The Accountant," and if you forgot that 2016 movie even existed, you're not alone. Ben Affleck is back as a math whiz with a particular set of skills. Jon Bernthal co-stars. In theaters.
Then, we catch up with "Drop," which several people asked us to review. It's another twisty, high-concept thriller from "Happy Death Day" director Christopher Landon. Meghann Fahy ("The White Lotus" S2) goes on a first date and starts getting menacing messages on her phone. In theaters.
Finally, we're here for you with Movie News LIVE!: Oscar voting changes, the "Heartstopper" movie, the Turner Classic Movie festival and more. We'll try and do this as often as we can over the next couple months on Fridays at Noon Pacific, so keep an eye out and join us.
Thanks as always for being here at Breakfast All Day!
