In this episode, Luis speaks with Carlos Hernandez. Carlos “Charlie” Hernandez is the founder and CEO of Crediverso. A Los Angeles native, Carlos is the grandson and son of Hispanic immigrants and grew up not only listening to stories but seeing first-hand how the U.S. financial system affected the Hispanic immigrant experience.
Carlos has always been keenly aware that this system was not designed for the Spanish-speaking or Hispanic community, even though these individuals represent 20 percent of the U.S. population. By doing deeper research, he realized that across every financial product vertical available, from credit cards and loans to bank accounts and insurance, the adoption rates in the Hispanic community were far lower than those of the general market. Carlos launched Crediverso to fix this, and is on a mission to help the U.S. Hispanic community realize their American Dreams by achieving financial access and freedom.
Carlos is a Harvard undergrad, Law and Business school graduate. He is a registered attorney with the American Bar Association in California and a Licensed Real Estate broker with the California Bureau of Real Estate. Before launching Crediverso he served as Director of Latin America and the Caribbean for MGM Resorts International.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
