Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to another episode of Chanelle in
the City. I'm your host Shanell Omari, and I have
such a beautiful, talented, amazing guest on the podcast today.
I don't even do justice for who am about to
introduce with her outfit, her makeup, her glam love her.
She is a Somalian Ethiopian born Dubai, one of our

(00:26):
favorite Real Housewives of Dubai. Supermodel one of our favorite
shows on Bravo TV, currently airing right now. You guys
can check it out. iHeartRadio proove it's my favorite show.
We just binge watched it. She's also a business woman.
She travels all over the world. She's a wife. Please
help us welcome Chanelle. Ay on everyone on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh my god? That is so sweet? Do you sound
it so right? No one, your name is Chanelle like me?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Like right? Bank you girl.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I feel honored to share the same name as you
because I don't know about you. I want to know
how you got your name, and we're going to talk
about how gorgeous your outfit is. You're always on point
on the show with your outfit, with your fashion. You
know you're You're the comedy of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
You are the.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Personality and the star of the show. You're one of
my personal favorites. So let's talk about the privilege of
having the name Chanelle, because growing up I was made
fun of it. So I don't know, how how do
you feel about it?

Speaker 3 (01:22):
Oh, you were made fun of being called Chanel. That's
a beautiful name.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I was just jealous because it's not an easy name
to get, do you know what I mean. I think
that was just just like, oh my god, a name
is Chanelle, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Like for me, it's like I watched a movie about Chanel, right,
and I resonated a lot with her because my father
lived in the same town, had new family, completely ignored
there us, like we didn't have exist and she lived
in a church and I grew up in living in
a mosque because we had nowhere to go. So I

(01:57):
was just like, oh my god, this woman is like fabulous.
Everything that she went through I kind of went through
him life. Then I was like, you know what, I'm
gonna call myself Shanelayan. So that's how I got my name.
So I'm I'm actually jealous that yours were you were
born in it, so that's.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Beautiful, that's yeah, my everyone right, it was a real
legal name. Everyone's like Za your real name. And it's
similar stories that my father he's a Middle Eastern immigrant
and he's from his family's.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
From Iraq of course Israel, Iraq.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
What are very good friends from Iraq, Beauty Monakatan.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Oh you do? Oh the last name, that's so we're
o Mari. That's our last name, Omri.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
But because my grandfather traveled and they you know, they
went from Iraq, then they went to Israel, then they
went to Lebanon, so they've kind of lived Iran, they've
lived everywhere. And so my father raised us I'm sure
like your parents like raised us. Very cultural and and
he said it was such a special name because he
was a fashion designer back in the day.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
And he said, oh so sicked.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I always loved Chanel.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
So you this involves this is like a print and
like you said, there's similar backgrounds. I think we all
share like these carmical past lives where we can relate
to each other.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
When I watch the show, I relate to you, not
just the name, but the most you know, we're ah,
thank you, Yeah, you're the most relatable of a lot
of vulnerability. Talk to us about like how do you.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Like living in Dubai and filming in Dubai this season.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
So I've lived in Dubai for twenty years and I
really love living there because it's so peaceful, you know,
like there's no crime rates, it's so safety for your children.
Like the culture. There's so many different cultures. Like you said,
you're Iraqi, have friends who are Iraqi. I have friends
who Israelis. I have friends who are black, white, everything,

(03:45):
you know what I mean. It's like a part of
the city. Everybody lives there, Everybody respects each other. So
I just love it so much. I don't like it
when it's in the summer right now, So I'm not
a Trinity degree. So I was like, I'm gonna go
to New York. The weather's gonna be good and it's
boring now outside. Like yeah, So I just love.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Dubai and the fashion, the shops.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yes, the fashion is amazing. We have more than three
hundred loans in a small town. So people really love
shopping in Dubai. I love that people are so outgoing
in Dubai. They love life. You can do other stuff,
indoor stuff. You can own businesses, you can be friends
with the Maraths, you can be friends with anybody. I
just love it.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I love that. Yes, So I love the diversity.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Obviously we're not going to get into politics, but the
diversity that you even when you said so it israelly.
So just you know, my dad's is really Iraqi. But
a lot of times people don't want to inmit stuff
like that and allowed or just being different. Right, So
how like how did how important is it in the
Dubai culture to be accepting of like different diversities, because
it seems like.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
That's what you grew up with.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, no, very important. Everybody is respected in Dubai. You
cannot like everybody is loved. Everybody is expected. And that's
why there's a lot of like donkeys on the tree
eat you stop like that because you don't know what
counta that person is. They don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.
So it's very very important to be respectful about others.
And I think that's the beauty about it. You know,

(05:11):
like living in a place where you have to put
people right, you have to show to people right. You
cannot black, you're stupid you this, you can't because not
that you treat people with respect, and I think I
love that.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Buy I love that, and I love how you show
that on the show too, even with the girls and
the cast members. And we're gonna get into the differences.
But whether there's differences, I do see how you're very
accepting and loving. You kind of you come from love
at the end of the day, and you'll admit your
wrongs and then you'll right, you know your rights, and
so I think that's very important.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
How how important is that for you in the show?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Very very important? I honestly, you know, I'm not mother Teresa, right,
you know. Whether the thing is like I don't like
hutting people or making people feel bad, so I always
have to apologize if I'm doing wrong so I can
sleep well, you know, And I don't like to hold grudges,
you know, because life is so shocked, you know what
I mean, Like I've met so many mistakes in life,

(06:07):
but it does not define who I am. If I'm sorry,
if I'm a porlogetic, and I just love everybody. So
I think that's what makes me be me, you.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Know, Yeah, I love you know. There's a scene that
we're going to get into. For those of you who
haven't tuned in yet, make sure you binge watch it.
I mean, I literally it's my second time I binge
watch because it's so good. There's a scene where you,
you know, you own and you talk about the text
message that happened with Sarah and that she had shared
and we didn't we didn't get to the bottom of
it until other episodes, you know, further episodes. But you

(06:38):
were like a woman enough, and you explained how you
got the audio message, why you got it, and maybe
that you know, you took a little accountability. Talk to
us a little bit about that and where you stand
with the girls from that scene.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Okay, so honestly, you know, I'm going to take a
cut of Believe, but this is I'm gonna talk from
the beginning. It was just fun girl's lunch. It was
the next day after Brooks had fight with Allen at
Stanbridy's house, so I wasn't there. I had left earlier.
So I came and they were telling me all these
things that had happened, and then I was like, oh

(07:12):
my god, I feel like Sarah has changed her mind.
Sarah's seeing the light. I have this voice note, which
I didn't say where it came from, you know, I
just said this voice note and I played it. Of course,
I was being messy because I wanted them to know
that Sarta has seen the light and Brooks is still
the dark bitch. So I was like, you know, she
hasn't changed. We started like bene with her, but made

(07:34):
it and the Guls were like.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
We all thought it was about Brooks, you know, and
then of course in the end we found out it
wasn't about Brooks, which was like, really not even funny,
but funny at the same time, you know what I mean.
It's like, it wasn't it wasn't even about Brooks.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Right, it was Hilary David moment like yeah, was like wait.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Exactly Brooks, Like what word is that? You know? And
I think I think at that moment, I was just like,
oh my god, this is crazy, and I had After
I played the vorce, I felt really bad immediately, and
when we finished the scene, I called my best friend.
I was like, hey, Bebs, I want you to know
I played the what's that you sent me? She was annoyed.

(08:15):
She was annoyed about it. She was why you know,
but she wasn't like upset the way it was a
camera this is one I was like, excuse me. It
was like I gotta leave the table before I do
something wrong, because I was like, well, I felt like
maybe she didn't want starta to know she knew about
the voice tone, so Sarah could be like she could
be sorry about it and I don't mind. She did
not know that I paid the voice, not until I

(08:35):
told her, you know, because I played it without talking
to her. But immediately I felt really bad and I
let her know about it, you know, So the reaction
was not justified.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
I was just like, what, excuse me, we're talking about
the vo It's not so at that point, I was like,
you know what, I'm not gonna embarrass in front of
our group of friends. I'm just gonna take it in
and then when it's just me and her, I'll talk
to him like why would you do that to me?
You know what I mean? So, and then that's what
I kicked out of my room. When I told that,
I felt and I thought it was very disrespectful. I

(09:04):
just say, you don't trust me. I thought it was
too much. But then again, because we are disgusted, and
she had never told me that so many against that's
the feelings that she was feeling.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
That's like me, because you handled it pretty well.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I thought, you know, we all have been there, by
the way, with a group of girls that we don't know.
We want to share something because we want to be
a good friend to this person and a good friend
to that, but we end up being messy.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I love the word. I love that you guys use
the word messy. It's amazing. It's a polite, great word.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
I gotta be.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I said that we got to start being classier. You
guys are classy, like we gotta be. We gotta fight classier.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Vay, But we've all been there.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
What's your advice to cope with something like that, because
a lot of times you're scared to talk your truth
because you.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Don't want to be massy. Was sy?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, yeah, I think if I went back to that
position when you were filming, I would have seen immediately
not thinking about it, I should have said, girl, what
are you talking about? You already know about the voice,
you know. I wish i' say that, but I was
very protective of us the friend, so I didn't do that,
and I had to talk to outside of it because,
like I said, we don't talk like that to each other,
you know what I mean. So I felt like she

(10:10):
was I felt like I would have done that. But
I also think like taking accountability because we all make mistakes.
That was a mistake. She didn't meet the boy. It's
not just because she didn't explain me to play yet.
So I take accountability back because I messed up, do
you know what I mean? And I owned up a meeting.
I was like, I'm sorry, I take accountability. I feel
bad about it.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
That's the way to go. Yeah, that's no way to go.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah, Like immediately I felt, to be honest with me
that I felt even before after the lunch with studying
in Stanbry, I felt so bad. That's why I called
my friends tell about it, you know, because I was.
I knew I tuked up immediately, you know, I need.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I think that's good on reality TV.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
It's like you have both sides in a sense where
that's us and like humans are like that. You we
mess up, but then we ad made our wrongs and
then we want to you know, be good friends.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
You know. So I think it was amazing.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
How you handled it really, yeah, because I've been there
and it's been hard.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Yeah, I know it's hard. It's hardy, it's hard. And
I think the guys in the end so that I
took accountability and they see that I was wrong, even
thought I was like, it's fine, I am it didn't show.
But she was like, it's funny. I know what you
were trying to do. I understand, and I'm sorry. You
said you were sorry. So to be honest, the person
that should have been really upset with Sarah, and she

(11:26):
was more calm and more understanding more because I knew
you were being messy. I know your heart. You have
a good heart, and so that's why I think that
it was so beautiful of her to be like to
take my sorriness because she knew I was sorry.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
You know, do you think that made you guys closer?
Like are you guys closer?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
In general?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Yes, it made me very close to her because I
owned up and I said, I'm really sorry. I just
thought that you saw the lights, you know. So I
wasn't like throwing It wasn't to throw starta under the bus.
It was funny. We're all type of Brooks bullshit, you know,
She's the one that poses all the issue in the group.
She's the one that is and Sartah was like usually
like supporting, So I was like, oh, maybe Satah's also
seeing what we all see, you know what I mean?

(12:07):
But then it was wrong because I would have come
between Brooks and Sarah, so right, yeah, And I think
that's the tangologize to Sarah and Brooks too.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
And that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
You're being a good role model with the housewife franchises.
I love them all, but with Dubai specifically, I do
feel and correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe it's part
of the culture, so you could take us into the
culture of Dubai, But it seems like you guys, you
talk about things that are upsetting you and then you
can move on from it. Why do you think your
franchise is like that as opposed to others where sometimes

(12:39):
the bucks can't let it go.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, yeah, So you know, to be honest with film
for three months, you know, like if I watch A Housewife,
got the drama is going for six episodes. I'm just like,
don't you guys have anything else going on? Because you
know the other things going on, you know, So I
feel we're all very easy to move on because of
the culture. You know, we live, like like our Muslim

(13:01):
Sarah's Muslim, we're both believe in forgiving and moving on.
Lisa is Christian, and like I think we all were
raised in a way we move on so fast because
that's live. We all make mistakes, but we cannot like
hold graduates for the wreath of our lives. You know
what I mean, right exactly. I think that's why I
like my customers even I know, like we're going to
reunion and we're gonna have a lot of things going on.

(13:23):
We're gonna have to talk about things, We're gonna argue
with each other, but I know in my heart in
the end we're all gonna hugue each other because we
care about each other and we know we just have
to talk through what we went through filming. But and
then there's a lot of love with everybody.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Can you give us a little tease about the reunion,
even if it's fashion about you, what we're gonna expect
from you to wear the cast a little bit of
like things, maybe that might be shocking.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Definitely. I'll tell you if I have something in my
head that.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Talk to us about this beautiful piece too.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
By the way, I know this is such a good look.
It's a friend of mine. Actually, he's a designer. He
watches Housewives, He's a very well known designed In course
of gole, he was like, I love it. I would
really love to make you something, you know, I would
love it. And I was like, make me something. So
he met me this and send it to New York
and I'm like, wow, it's actually really stunny, right, I

(14:16):
love it. I get to keep a lot of clothes,
you know. But you know, but also it's like, it's
beautiful because I want to support new designers, you know,
in Apple, because at the end of the day, I
look good in anything they make for me. You know.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, that's amazing. And then is that the same designer
for the reunion?

Speaker 3 (14:35):
No, I'm wearing Michael Sinkle that I wore last season two,
and I wear a lot of his clothes, like in
Iron Beauty events. For Iron Beauty, the big dress is
from me.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
So yeah, yeah, because I was going to say, you
make a lot of big fashion statements.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
I love your fashion statements.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
You even wore a gorgeous silhouette with two tigers. People
should Choo episode two or three. In the Confessionals, you're
always dressed up. But I also feel it's like an
art piece. Is there an inspiration behind everything you pick?

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Yes? Yes. For example, like I shaved my head because
I was going through a lot. You know, I have
a mom was dimentia. I have a sister, so I'm
going through a lot of that. My sister that was
on the show lost a job for like a year
and a half, so there's a lot going on in
my family. So I just want I just just like,
you know, I just shaved my head to start fresh
and stuff like that. And the Tiger, I just wanted

(15:29):
to feel fears. In fact, we us both headed because
I'm like hair does hair is beautiful, but it's not
who I am. My heart is more beautiful. So I
was like, let me just go big. So I told
this designer, I want to do something big and crazy,
and it goes, why don't you put animals in your shoulder?
I was like, oh my god, that's everything you know.
And my best friend who I was talking to about

(15:50):
the show that passed away, she used to say, my
mom used to call me Tiger, like you're so beautiful,
but you can all be messed around with you? You know,
I was representing my best friend too, and I thought
it was really cool and yeah, so I just love
that and I love that. I'm in Fastune and I
started a makeup line, Iron Beauty, and my make up

(16:11):
line is doing so well with my business planner, Tony,
and my son is also like helped, like shoots with us.
You know what, it's so cool like a family affair.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Love that.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Literally it's a business of a family affair, you know.
To me. Yeah, and then it's like, you know, my
story where I was at a GM done at five
years old. So with my makeuplan that I studied, Iron
Beauty is literally tried to bring away as yes to
the GM because now a lot of countries are bringing
it back. Literally the courts are saying, let's bring this back.

(16:45):
And I know, I got a lot of hateful messages
to speak about it because a very normal common thing
in my culture, and people are like, oh, why are
you trying to make it look like it's a bad thing.
I know it's a bad thing because I went through it,
you know, so I just want to talk about it.
Bring it and I use my brand. We have a
blush coming out. That is going to be part of
the proceeds for FGM. So I'm just like, so that's

(17:06):
not make me happy, you know, like shaving us like
rejuvenating myself to start fresh with my life.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I love the fact that you have a charity element.
I'm very charitable too. I love tell when I'm doing
comedy or yeah, the proceeds certain process should go towards
a cause. And the fact that you're giving back, or
the fact that you said beauty, Look, you're supermodel. You're
one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen in life, and.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
You're so sweet.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
You're really thank you.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
But you're talking about even in the show that you
went through like such hard times as a kid. Yeah,
talk to us a little bit about how come this
organization is so you're so passionate about it because you
went through sayings when you were five years old.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Yeah, I went through I went through FGM when I
was five years old, and it's very traumatic because like
usually like people don't understand this, it's just not when
it happens. You know, you want this FGM again. FGM
is where they circumcised years ago, right, Oh my god right, Okay, okay,
wow wow, says years a girl. So I hapened to
me when I was five years old. It was the

(18:07):
most dramatic penroul experience I've ever had. Like my body
shuts down sometimes because it's just like it's just never
goes away, you know what I mean. So I just
don't want anyone to go through what I'm going through,
you know, because you can get depressed. People don't have kids.
People like it's girl die at such a young age.
And I feel like I'm in such a big platform,

(18:27):
you know what I mean. Even if I get hated
on about it, it's not about me anymore. I'm trying
to help other girls, and you know, me opening up
about my story, a lot of women reached out to
me that a part of my touch is like, oh
my god, thank god one person is talking about it.
Please talk more about it. You don't understand this is
important for our girls, you know what I mean. So
that's why, Like my makeup line is literally part of it.

(18:50):
I literally want I want to help Soba with all
my heart, Like it's so.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Yeah me, it's more than right just the beauty line,
which I love. It's just about the whole overall beauty.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
And you're right, you know you we're.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
Talking just because you go through so much in life,
you know, and it's so painful and things like that,
you still can't find moments in your life that actually
you love. It is hard. I go through every day
different days, you know, but if you find good things
about you, good friends, go for a walk, you know,
just watch something that you love, Like I love Housewives.

(19:24):
I think I understand why people love Housewives because even
going through stuff I watch it. I'm just like, oh
my god. You know that you connect with people. So
I think it's just important for people to just find
an house of happiness within themselves, you know, even if
you're going through some lives, like focus on the positivity
that you have. I know it's hard. Try, you know,
I try.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
And it's true because Housewives. I look on to you guys.
I said, if you guys can be going through it
as women, everyone's going through it. And you know what, now,
it's such a good example that you're you're putting forth,
you're telling the truth about It's not like we're superheroes.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
We also have our problems. We like in the asses
and greener on the other side.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Like you could see someone beautiful and you can see
them break down on TV or yeah, you know.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Yeah, And I think that's I think that's why I
love like my show, even with my castmets, because we're
all so different and we all go through different situations
in our lives and you find out what they're going through,
they find out what you're going through, and it's like, yeah,
we might be beautiful, we might be on TV, but
in the end of the day, we're humans.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
You know.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
We're humans. We have feelings, we have pain, we have struggled,
We've tried to be good mothers, we have a business,
we have husbands that we have to you know, sleep
with and feed, you know what I mean. Like it's
a hard as a woman. It's a lot to be
a woman, you know. And so it's like it's like
we get to show that and connect try to connect

(20:45):
with people with that, you know what I mean, Because yeah,
we might live a fancy left time and fabulous, but
we're just humans, like I cried yesterday, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
Yeah, it's normal people.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
That's what's so relatable about the show that it's even
with the glits and the glam it's still real. Yea,
everyone goes through it exactly know even as a wife,
you so are you were still you were married with
a child, and like how did you do it all?

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Like the business the marriage? You know. Oh so and
tell us where your status is now with everyone?

Speaker 3 (21:15):
I'm being minded for twenty five years? Well I know.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Now twenty five you were my inspiration. I have to
you have to write a book.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
You got to write a book about how to find
love and keep it for twenty five years.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Oh my god, bed for a minute. Just don't feed
your man. And if you wants six too much, say no.
You know, is that the secret?

Speaker 1 (21:36):
Because okay, so I want to hear the tips of
what you think we need to do as women.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
It's not about looks.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
I really really really have a great husband in a
way that like I go through a lot. You know,
he's always there supporting me. You know, he always wants
the best for me, even studying I am beauty mekeup,
you know, like I don't know so much that goes
through with the books and stuff, and he does everything
with Tony, Like you know, he's so supportive, he's so caring.

(22:05):
He's a good dad. And I think he just wants
me to be myself and I think that's what makes
our marriage work. And I listen to him. I'm also
there for him. I think it's very easy to be
good with men. Men are like kids. They want somebody
to listen to them, be there for them, support them,
and be there cheer leader. And I think I really
do good with that with him, you know. And it

(22:26):
has come back to me, you know, because on this
ad that would put up with me literally no one accepting.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
And how do you spice it up in general?

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Or what are your tips for women who have been
married for that long and have kids and have a band,
driving business, what are you doing?

Speaker 3 (22:42):
I think that when you go home, you know, like
sometimes my I am biddy can be stressful too because
it's a new business. We're learning a lot of things.
We have to go through a lot of it to
build stuff and men my business, but all learning you
know about the business. So sometimes if it's stressful, like
you just go home and lead it up side the door.
I tried to do that alog and then I tried

(23:03):
to watch a movie with your husband, tried to eat
that together, tried to go out for a walk, like
you have to have time for that moment, even if
it's thirty minutes, just to be nice to your husband.
It goes a long way, do you know what I mean?
Because he also has his business and he's also going
through stuff that you know what I mean, and just
like being the thing that helps and having good first
like I'm lucky off a business. But now that is

(23:24):
very very understanding. You know, she takes a lot of
stress from me, which is amazing, Thank you mother, It's amazing.
So having that helps a lot, you know.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Yeah, it's that's what's right. That's also sexually the dating.
Everyone always asks me, how do you keep it alive
when you're married. I'm like, I don't know because I'm
not married. But my guess is a lot of you
guys are. We'll come on the show. Yeah, and it's
very interesting how you keep it alive, how you keep
it together? And I think you have just because.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
It's not superficial, am and your husband wants to do it,
you just do it, you know, just just get it,
just go for it.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
You know, Oh he doesn't leave it.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
First year olds, the time you're eating, you just start
to have fun, you know, and then you're just like, oh,
this is good. And then you treat them good and
then they're happy, and then like do you want a
sandwich or do you want to walk tim You're like absolutely.
Then they treat you wonderfully. It takes twenty minutes, sometimes
ten minutes heads and then for days you're being loved

(24:19):
all day. You love your love, your love. It's very easy.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah. I love that advice. That's great advice. I hope
the ladies are listening in. That's amazing from the housewife.
I'll do by herself who actually has a successful longevity marriage.
You know, it's out, you know, and talk to us
about your fears. Did you have fears? You know when
you first did the show with him, like and about everything.
Did you ever think you were gonna get married? Did
you think you're gonna have kids with everything that you

(24:43):
went through as a kid.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
No, No, I actually wanted to marry him because it
was my dream to come to America and get it passport,
because it's like a big day to look to American passport.
So I actually like was in love with him, but
that we can more in love with him living with him,
you know what I mean. The American dreams, because again
it was I can't say it was about sex because

(25:06):
even when I was married to mytie, had not had
sex with him because I was still like circumcised, you know.
So it wasn't about saying. It was more connection. It
was more like excitement being on a plane, eating bagger,
trying pizza for the first time. Like everything I tried
was with him. I tried to eat chicken and then
pok with him, like I've learned every single thing with him,
you know. So my husband is very exciting, you know,

(25:28):
like like like, yeah, pizza was fun when the fast
I tried it, you know, so like things like that,
you know, then of course you fell in love with
him because like, oh this is new food. You know.
He took me to a bitch, you know, it took
me to a hotel, he slew me here like stuff
like that was so fun. He was also twenty four years.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Old when we met over both kids, do you know
what I mean? So you grew up together, you found
grew up together. Yeah, we grew up together, you know.
So a lot of that I think like connected us together.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
And of course just because I married him for his passport,
I still have him for twenty five years, and I
loved my passport. You know, I have to pay a
lot of taxes, whiche and I am beauty Like when
you have businesses, you have to pay a lot of taxes,
which I'm like, talab what do they do with it?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Yeah? You see, you never know, you never know. That's amazing.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
We opened up the season with Caroline Stansbury and you
actually trying to work everything out since last Yes, then
how did you guys, you know, get to that point
and how where do you guys stand now?

Speaker 3 (26:22):
So after reunion, I gave her the fire extinguish let's
see dinner and I said, I want to put the
fire out and I want to start fresh. I really
mean what I say. And we were flying to Weather
to do baike after you know, we were stopped on
a plane for sixteen hours together, you know, and she
was sitting across to me, so you cannot smile or
talk to somebody for sixteen hours. So we went to
the bout on the plane. We had to drink and

(26:43):
we started talking and we just you know what we
we have. She goes, do you really want to try it?
And I was like, yeah, I would, you know, So
by the time we landed, we actually started to like
there was some things I liked about her. She called
me the moment she landed, she goes, oh my god,
my driver is not here. I got to our driver
take a home. So like it's just started like that
and we are God, you know, we're still getting to

(27:04):
know each other. We're still learning to know that we
have kids at the same age. Going to call it,
there's a lot of connection there, you know. So I
think that I love where we are, you know what
I mean, Like, even when she's wrong, I still call
her out on it, you know, Like I love being
a friend, but I also miss being a bitch to
our you know what.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
But I'm sure you guys can bond over that now.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Yeah. Yeah, And we have really funny bantams with each other,
you know. So yeah, I'm really a good place with that,
And I like I like that, I know how more now.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Right talking about like, you know, just making amends with everyone.
Do you think you would ever stand in a good
relationship with or have a good relationship with Caroline Brooks?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
No?

Speaker 1 (27:48):
No, And maybe elaborate your side of it or what
you want to get out or what you want to clarify.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
Honestly, I think I've tried to be friends with Brooks,
but like you can see, Brooks is a wind. I'm everywhere.
You cannot just take a serious you know what I mean?
Even the Devil himself is confused about her.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I think you should be the comedian. Wait, you you
should try your hand in comedy. Have you ever talked
to her though? Do you think it's the communication? Like?
Why is it so hard?

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Literally I enjoy talking to us. Sometimes I would be
on the phone that for two hours, everything would be great.
Two hours later, she completely switched on me. She's unpredictable.
She's really unpredictable. So that's the problem. Like I wish
she was predictable that I wish it was just like
say what she means at that time, you know, right,
like you are good and all of a sudden every
day she bullies me on Twitter. I don't know why.

(28:38):
So this is a break two weeks ago. I'm telling
it's very strange.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
With that, What can we expect from the rest of
the season from you and the rest of the cast?

Speaker 3 (28:47):
I think right now with the in a Balley cast,
so that's really good. And then we do another cast
trip with a husbands, which I think that's really cold.
And then we are finale.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Right, so we have to stay tuned. And where can
everybody follow you and stay tuned for the finale?

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Oh my god, follow me on Shanelayan and of course
follow me on I Am Beauty, you know, and if
you guys want to check my website, we have some
really beautiful broadcasts with love some plots.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
I love it, and anything you want to clarify from
this season, just that, we're going to stay tuned for that.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
You like, like, oh, you don't.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Send the voice notes to anybody. I learned that Lisson
and I think that that was wrong and I think
I'll do better.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Okay, great, and we stay tuned. We'll have you back
on the podcast to talk about the vagina scene.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah, if you want to clarify that.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
But I think people should tune into that and really
actually watch every episode and really understand the friendship, the
ups and downs.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
But how you guys all come together?

Speaker 3 (29:52):
Yes, perfect, Yeah, we do, we do. We we have apps,
we have downs, but and then we'll see certain we
care about each other and we'll each other back.
