transition is underway in the citywith recycling.
It is now managed provincially by a grouprepresenting companies
that produce recyclable productsand packaging.
The city is no longer involved,so your go to place

The city is part of a very exciting plan
to improve health care across the regionin the form of a new hospital.
Kingston Health SciencesCenter is behind the proposed development
and in efforts to advance planning.

The city has committed up to 95 acresof undeveloped land at Cloggs Road.

Several delegations addressed a motioncalling for a property
on Sydenham Road to not be consideredfor a homeless shelter.

In the end, that motion did not pass,meaning a shelter
is still planned, with city staffproviding an update.
Six months after opening,
councilors approved the investmentof $3 million for the development
of a swimming dock and water play areain Flora MacDonald Confederation Basin.
They also agreed to several interimbylaw amendments

that aim to provide some protectionsfor trees on lands subject
to development applicationsor future development.

was the City of Kingston Civic Awards,a celebration of volunteers
