Jim is a Fire Captain for the LA City Fire Department and has been a firefighter for 25 years.
During the Palisades Fire, Captain Prabhu played a crucial role in the initial response, working 36 hours straight before receiving any rest. He remained on-site with his crew for three consecutive days, navigating what he described as one of the most intense fires he has ever faced.
In 2018, inspired by the devastating Woolsey Fire, Captain Prabhu founded a business focused on helping homeowners protect their properties from wildfires. Specializing in installing swimming pool fire pumps, his company serves homes across Southern California, including Orange, LA, and Ventura counties. His work has been featured by news outlets such as Fox LA, and he continues to advocate for proactive fire prevention.
