"Send Coach a text"

Stepping out to start a business can feel like standing at the edge of uncharted waters. The fear of failure, uncertainty about the path ahead, and countless "what-ifs" can keep even the most passionate visionaries stuck in perpetual planning mode. But what if the principles for launching your kingdom business were simpler than you thought?

In this powerful episode, I break down three transformative visuals that will shift how you approach your entrepreneurial calling. First, we explore the profound truth that God is present "in the beginning" of every venture, just as Scripture tells us in both Genesis and John. This fundamental understanding transforms entrepreneurship from a solo journey into a divine partnership where you're never building alone.

Next, we tackle the paralyzing problem of overthinking that keeps so many would-be business owners stuck. Like a child learning to walk who falls countless times before succeeding, every entrepreneur must embrace action despite the certainty of occasional failure. As I share, "God parted the sea when people got up, left the house, and walked to it." Your miracle awaits your movement.

Perhaps most transformative is the final visual comparing your business to a fruit tree. The fruit your business produces isn't meant for your benefit alone—it's for those who pass by. When you shift your focus from personal gain to providing genuine value to God's people, the prosperity naturally follows. This kingdom principle of profit following value ensures that as you serve others excellently, your dreams of financial freedom and impact will become reality.

Whether you're nurturing the seed of a business idea or ready to take your first steps, these biblical principles provide the framework for faith-driven entrepreneurship that honors God while creating lasting impact. Ready to align your business with God's blueprint? Listen now and discover how kingdom business isn't just what you do—it's who you are.

business isn't just what we do,it's who we are.
Let's get into it.

(00:46):
This podcast will start in 3, 2, 1.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Hey everybody, welcome to the Coach Martin Show
.
I'm your host, coach Martin.
Today.
The topic we're going to talkabout now, what?
Now?
When I was thinking about thisand I was putting the thoughts
to paper, this part reallyexcited me, because I get a lot
of people that come to me.
I mean, especially at church,I'll get men that will come up
and say, hey, you know, I'mthinking about this, I'm
thinking about that.
Or hey, this was in my heart.

(01:18):
So you have somebody whothey're not yet a business owner
, right, they're, you know, whatever the profession is, so
they're an employee, they havean idea.
So a seed's been planted intheir heart and obviously
they've probably been thinkingabout it for a while.
They've been dwelling on it andthey're like, oh, you know, I
just don't know how to do it,you know, maybe like what if I
fail?
Or like, hey, you know, I just, you know what if you know I do

(01:43):
this, and A, b and C or whateverthe case is.
So I'm sure there's a gazillionthings going through their head
, but I wrote down.
You know, I'm going to give youthree visuals to help you in
this journey of launching yourvision.
So I'm going to give you threeeasy visuals that I want you to
remember.
Okay, so we're going to startwith number one.
You got a pen, make sure youwrite this down.
So I'm going to do a parallelwith Genesis, chapter 1, and

(02:06):
John, chapter 1.
So you're probably thinkingwell, okay, explain this to me.
So we know, in Genesis, theBible says in the beginning God
created the heavens and earth.
So we're going to start thereIn the beginning, dot, dot, dot,
god.
Now let's go to John, chapter 1.
In the beginning was the Word.

(02:26):
The word was with God and theword was God.
So in the beginning.
So I want you to think aboutthis and I want you to visualize
this If you're driving, don'tclose your eyes, but if you're
at home, I want you to closeyour eyes and really think about
this.
So both you know the beginningof Genesis and then John.
They started in the beginning.
So think about this In thebeginning was God In the

(02:50):
beginning.
So, even when it comes to rightnow, this business, which is
basically just a seed, in thebeginning was God.
So God is there at thebeginning, there at the
beginning, in every beginning.
So God's there with you, heloves you, he wants to partner
with you in everything you do hedoes.

(03:13):
So think about that andremember that God is there in
the beginning.
He wants to partner with you.
He wants to be.
You know, he's the CEO and youmay be the CEO.
That's how I want you to lookat it.
So God is there with you.
So don't get scared.
You're not doing this on yourown.

(03:33):
It might seem like you are, itmight be overwhelming, but trust
me when I tell you God is yourco-pilot.
Number two.
Okay, this is super important, because none of this works
without number two.
So a lot of times I'll getpeople that'll come to me, just
like I shared earlier, andthey'll say hey, I'm thinking,
I'm thinking, I'm thinking about.
I want to do this, hey.

(03:57):
So many times we overthink theprocess and we talk ourselves
out of it.
It's just what we do right andI can go into the whole
psychology of the mind and thesubconscious and I'm not going
to do that right now but we doright.
But it's not about that.
It's about taking action.
It's just about taking action.
That is all it's about Now.
Well, wait a minute.
Let's go back to what I wassaying in number one.

(04:17):
What if I fail?
What if I fall?
Here's the deal you are goingto fall and you are going to
fail.
That happens, right.
But that's where we learn thethings that we're supposed to
learn, right, that equip us forwhat it is that God prepared for
us.
So that's important, like.
So that's important, like.
Think about, like yesterday mygrandbabies were over and we
were playing with them and itwas funny, because my one

(04:38):
grandson was up here playing thewhole time and my wife's like
wow, that's two days in a row.
We wanted to spend more timewith you and he's just getting
older, right, and I like that.
It's kind of fun.
But think about when you learnhow to walk.
He fell like a thousand times, right.

(05:01):
What if he was like oh, I don'twant to do it, because what if
I fall?
You're going to fall right.
So you have to be an actiontaker.
Everyone that has a successfulbusiness, I don't care what the
field is, I don't care whattheir background is.
The similarity between all ofthem is they're all action
takers.
They all win for it.
So tune out the like.
I'm not ready.
You know what if this, what ifthat?
Tune it out and take steps.
You know I've said this all thetime.
You know God parted the seawhen the people got up, left the

(05:24):
house and walked to it.
So you got to walk to the seabefore he does the miracle.
So you have to be an actiontaker.
You will never create abusiness without taking action.
So move your feet.
So the third thing I want totalk about is I want you to
shift your focus.
So this may be a little bitdeep, but I want you to stay
with me for a minute.

(05:44):
So a lot of times we want tostart a business because of
maybe, as an example, you know,we want to be our own boss.
Maybe we're tired of the nineto five, maybe, you know, you
want to take a vacation, butmaybe you just can't afford it
unless you put on credit, right, maybe, like, whatever that case
is.
So we're like, hey, I think Iwant to start a business, like

(06:06):
whatever that case is.
So we're like, hey, I think Iwant to start a business.
Or maybe you want to startbuilding wealth and generational
wealth, and you know, you wantto be able to, like you know,
live a little more luxuriouslife and all that.
I get all that.
I, a hundred percent get that.
But I want you to change yourfocus for a second Right, and
I'm going to give you an examplethat I used.
Um, back in February, I wasasked to speak at a Valentine's

(06:26):
event and I used this example.
So I had somebody stand up andI said hey, you know, if we're
going to grow a tree, I want youto give me the example.
So what would you do if you'regoing to grow a tree?
And he's like well, you know,I'm going to prepare the ground,
okay, cool.
So what's step number two?
I'm going to plant the seed in,okay, awesome.

(06:47):
So now, what's step number four?
Well, I'm going to water it,okay cool.
Now what's going to happen?
Well, it's going to startgrowing and growing and growing.
Eventually it's going to becomea tree Awesome.
And then when it gets really bigand it's a tree let's say this
is an apple tree Then whathappens?
Well, then apples will show upon the branch Okay, awesome.
And then what's next?
He goes well, what do you mean?

(07:07):
What's next?
I said well, then what happenswhen the apples fall on the
ground?
He goes well, what do you mean?
I said well, do you pick up theapples and you feed it to the
tree?
And he goes, of course not.
I said yeah, that's right,because the fruit wasn't meant
for the tree.
The fruit's meant for thepeople to walk by the tree.
And everyone was like, oh man,I never thought of it like that.
Right, I try to think ofbusiness the same way, right?

(07:28):
The seed that was deposited inyour heart about this business
is not just for you, it's forthe people that walk by the tree
.
So keep that concept, because Iknow a lot of times, especially
for new entrepreneurs, when youget caught up in the it's all
about the money, it's all aboutthe money.
No, shift your focus on.
It's all about providing valueto God's people, right?

(07:49):
So you have a product orservice or idea that's going to
provide value.
So you're going to providevalue, value, value and you
focus on that.
Remember that fruit isn't foryou.
The fruit is for the peoplethat walk by and based off of
the better you do that and themore you do that, god's

(08:09):
principle of profit followingvalue will come and you will be
able to live a life that's moreluxurious.
You will be able to takevacations with your family.
You will be able to buildwealth.
You will be able to buildgenerational wealth, but keep
the focus on that instead of thefocus on that.
I hope that makes sense.
