"Send Coach a text"

What separates truly fulfilling businesses from those that merely generate profit? The answer lies in three forgotten practices that transform ordinary entrepreneurship into kingdom-minded leadership.

Coach Martin reveals these three overlooked principles that can revolutionize your business approach. First, he emphasizes the spiritual discipline of celebrating wins—both significant achievements and small victories. Drawing from biblical examples where God Himself celebrates victories, Coach Martin demonstrates how acknowledgment of progress fuels motivation and cultivates gratitude. He transparently shares his own business wins from the past month, modeling how celebration becomes a practical business strategy.

The second forgotten principle reframes how we view our work: your business isn't just a business—it's a ministry. Through a touching story about his wife's walking group and its profound impact on participants' lives, Coach Martin illustrates how seemingly ordinary business activities can become divine appointments. When we recognize our entrepreneurial efforts as ministry opportunities, we discover deeper purpose behind our products and services.

Prayer emerges as the third transformative practice, with Coach Martin providing specific guidance for implementing this spiritual discipline in business contexts. He advocates praying specifically for team members' personal challenges, displaying prayer requests visibly as reminders, and seeking divine guidance for new opportunities to expand impact. This intentional, consistent prayer practice aligns business activities with God's purposes and invites His wisdom into daily operations.

These three principles—celebration, ministry-mindedness, and prayer—create a framework for kingdom-minded success that honors God while serving people effectively. Ready to transform your approach? business isn't just what we do,it's who we are.
Let's get into it.

This podcast will start in 3, 2, 1.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Hey everybody, I'm Coach Martin, host of the Coach
Martin Show and super excited tobe on today.
Today we're going to give youthree nuggets, so three
forgotten pieces that can changeeverything in your business.
So I kind of want to go throughthese.
As I was writing them, I waskind of going through and I was
thinking like, hey, these arethings that you know.
Initially they could appearthat you know we already do it

(01:15):
or we kind of take them forgranted, but I think more often
than not we take them forgranted.
So I want to go through threepieces.
Number one I want you to get tothe point where we start
celebrating our wins.
So think about this.
A lot of times, unless it's areally big win, we just kind of,
like, you know, throw it off onthe back burner and we don't
really celebrate it.
And I think, as business owners, sometimes wins are hard to

(01:37):
come by Right, especially at thebeginning, when you're like
going through it and you'retrying to build your business
and trying to get it to whereit's off the ground.
Or now that you got it off theground, you're trying to get it
to where it becomes profitableand we forget about the small
wins.
So you want to take the time tocelebrate even the smallest
wins, do it every single month.
I always think of a couple ofverses in the Bible, one where

(01:58):
it says you know, um, you know, there's a there.
There's a celebration in heaven.
You know, there's a celebrationin heaven just when one sinner,
you know, gets saved, just one.
They celebrate God, celebratesGod, and the angels celebrate
the wins.
So celebrate the wins.
I also think of the story of theprodigal son.
I know, you probably know it,where the father had two kids.

(02:20):
One kid wanted his inheritance.
The father gave him theinheritance, he took off, he
squandered it away.
Squandered it away, spent allthe money.
You know, long story short, heends up coming back.
The father sees them, runs tohim, kisses them, you know, puts
the robe on him, throws a bigparty.
The father celebrated a win.
Now, that was a big win, butthe father still celebrated the

(02:42):
win.
So we need to get to the pointwhere we celebrate these wins
Now.
With that being said, I want toshare quickly some wins that we
had in our business for themonth of July.
We had some businesses come onand I'm going to name them Grind
Mode Athletics, elite Scouts, total Ball Game Recruiting, next
Level Recruiting, theRecruiting Advisors, game Time

(03:04):
advisors, game time recruiting, south Bay sports training.
And we had a high school.
They just renewed a third yearin a row, perryview High School
out in Missouri.
So those are big wins, so wewant to celebrate those wins.
Okay, number two.
Number two is remember, right, remember that your business, yes
, it's a business, but it's alsoa ministry, and I have a great

(03:25):
story that I want to shareregarding it that always reminds
me of this point that ourbusiness is a ministry.
So my wife spent on this kickfor the last year where she went
and she lost weight, and forall of last year she counted her
calories and she tracked herfood and she lost weight.

(03:48):
Well, january this year shestarted a walking group in our
community and now that groupgets to where, like sometimes on
a daily walk, where they'llhave 10 women that are walking
with her.
And it's pretty interestingbecause she told me the story
that not long ago there's a girlthat started with her in
January and the girl told herthat, hey, she says you know,
carrie, and this lady's lost, Ithink, 35 pounds already this

(04:10):
year, which is amazing.
Like in a half a year, she'salready lost 35 pounds.
But the lady told my wife hey,I want you to know that and I've
been praying for this, and I'vebeen praying for you forever,
and now, here you are doing thisthing.
So I think sometimes we forgetthat our business is a ministry,
that we can truly impact peoplein a mighty, mighty way, not

(04:33):
just by giving them work andallowing them to be able to have
a paycheck, but in much greaterareas.
So I always feel like we shouldtreat our business like a
ministry, because it is aministry that God has us in
right.
So we have an opportunity toreally make a difference and
have people feel the same way, just like that lady feels
regarding my wife.

(04:54):
So the third thing I want totalk about is the third piece is
pray.
I know that sometimes that canlook as like just a given that
we should be praying.
No, that we should definitelybe praying, and I'm going to
give you a couple of things.
One we should definitely prayfor our employees, everyone
that's involved, all of our teammembers.
You should be praying for them.
I would even encourage you tostep out a little bit further

(05:15):
and ask them like hey, is thereanything this week that you're
struggling with?
Or, you know, is there anythingthis month that you really want
to accomplish that I can helpyou with?
Right and find out what thosethings that they're desiring are
, those things that they need, and put them on your wall and
physically pray for them, like, take a few extra minutes a day
and keep those things in yourprayer.

(05:35):
So pray for your employees, pray for their families, pray
for their wants, pray for theirneeds, like be there.
Second thing I would pray foreyes to see even more
opportunity.
So, even though your business, you're walking in opportunity
and you probably have a productthat is serving people in a

(05:56):
specific area, there could beeven more opportunity for you to
serve more people.
So I would pray that God evenshows you more opportunity that
you can literally impact andinfluence people that are in a
space that you physically need.
So pray for not only just thepeople that are there that you
work with, but also pray thatyou have more opportunity and

(06:17):
more spaces that maybe yourproduct can be in.
And maybe you're thinking to usa second right now if you're
thinking like well, wait aminute, coach, you know this is
just about money.
It's not just about money.
The more spaces that yourbusiness is in, the more impact
you'll have in those spaces.
So I always like to look at itlike the more spaces that we are

(06:39):
in, the more people that we canimpact and influence, and
ultimately, that's what it's allabout anyways.
It's about impact and influencethose that are lost.
So, again, that third piece ispraying.
Make it consistent.
I would encourage you to do itevery single day.
Do it in the morning, beforeyou even start your day.
Pray for your people.
Pray for your people, pray foryour team, Like, get in there,

(07:02):
like be an advocate and go toGod on their behalf.
I promise you it'll paydividends.
So those three pieces, threeforgotten pieces that could
change everything.
Number one celebrate the wins, big and small, and tell people
about those wins.
Tell people, go on social media.
Go on social media today andtell people about the wins from

(07:22):
the month.
Number two make sure youremember that your business
isn't just a business, it's aministry.
And number three make sure youpray, pray and pray often.
