Do you ever feel like your attention span is shorter than that of a goldfish? In a world filled with distractions, it can be challenging to stay focused on what truly matters. But it's time to break free from the cycle of mindless scrolling and endless to-do lists. It's time to stop being a goldfish.

Life moves quickly, often leaving us feeling like our attention span is as fleeting as a goldfish's - about 9 seconds.

With technology pulling us one way and family obligations tugging us another, it's easy to get lost in a sea of distractions.

The average human attention span of 8 seconds may not differ much from that of a goldfish, highlighting the need to reassess how we prioritize our focus.

While goldfish may seem forgetful creatures, studies show that they possess remarkable memory capabilities.

Just as goldfish can recall specific tasks over time, we too can train our minds to prioritize what truly matters and navigate life's maze of distractions.

By recognizing the parallels between our attention spans and those of goldfish, we can appreciate the importance of intentional focus and memory in shaping our daily experiences.

So, let's break free from the cycle of fleeting attention spans and embrace the power of focused intention in achieving our dreams and goals.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace the power of focused intention!

You can consider the bare basics of intentionality by setting SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), practicing mindfulness, and creating a distraction-free zone to focus. All of these are obvious. But I want you to go a little deeper.

1. Seek Mentorship and Accountability: Surround yourself with mentors, coaches, or a supportive community that can provide guidance, feedback, and accountability on your journey towards achieving your goals. Engaging with individuals who share your values and aspirations can offer new perspectives, motivation, and encouragement, helping you stay intentional and committed to your growth and success.

2. Gratitude and Intentions Rituals: Start and end each day with a gratitude and intentions ritual to set a positive tone and purposeful direction for your day. Expressing gratitude for what you have and setting intentions for what you wish to achieve can shift your mindset towards abundance and clarity, fostering a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment in your pursuits.

3. Journaling and Reflection: Incorporate regular journaling and reflection practices into your routine to gain insights into your thoughts, emotions, and progress towards your goals. By writing down your reflections, challenges, and breakthroughs, you can identify patterns, set intentions, and deepen your self-awareness, ultimately guiding you towards intentional actions aligned with your aspirations.

I want you to think about what works for you. Because what I know about you — you are not a goldfish looking at the world from the world's perspective. You have gifts and talents to share with the world you touch, your family and friends, your community, and your church. Be intentionally and attentive to who you are and who you are becoming.

You are made for more. Create your now!

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!
