Hey, it's Dawn McGruer, thebusiness growth coach and welcome
to dawn of a New Era, thepodcast where we talk all things
health, wealth and happinessand where founders share the good
and bad and ugly of being anentrepreneur. So welcome to part
three of our mini series allabout female empowerment. And in

(00:23):
this episode we're going to betalking about the power of community
for female founders. So asfemale founders, we must embrace
collaboration over competitionand the importance of creating and
maintaining a supportiveenvironment for female entrepreneurs.
I've been in business over 20years and the foundation to my success

(00:46):
has always been about positivemindset and the network of like minded
peers, clients, suppliers andan online tribe. So it's important
to feel part of a communitybecause it can be really lonely as
an entrepreneur. So here aremy top tips of advice that I would
prioritize. Number oneBuilding a strong support network

(01:08):
of like minded women andallies. Number two, Seek and also
offer mentorship. Numberthree, create inclusive workplaces
and networking spaces. Andremember, you are not alone in your
journey and the power ofcommunity can really drive success.
Everything I do harnesses myconnections in some way or another.

(01:31):
Building, maintaining andgrowing relationships is not just
good for business, but it'samazing for our spirit and our soul.
So spending time with peoplereally lights me up and energizes
me. I am at heart actually anintrovert, so having time to focus
in my own space is equallyimportant. But it's about finding

(01:51):
balance and spending every dayin the same environment is hard for
anyone. And as entrepreneurswe do crave inspiration and changing
your space can be really goodfor your growth, both personally
and professionally. Socreating my Female Founders Lunches
has been a project that Iwanted to do for many years, but

(02:12):
the way that it's actuallyevolved has felt really organic and
authentic to my vision andmission. I feel my business has come
full circle. I started withnetworking back at the age of 21,
which was hugely helpful forscaling my business as were the people
that I met on my journey. I'vealways had contact with people through

(02:35):
speaking or training orcoaching across all of my businesses,
but running my mastermind andretreats was the biggest enrichment
for me and my business today. So I'm so excited to see where the
addition of the Her Powercommunity and the Female Founder
Lunches goes. And of coursewho I will actually meet on my journey.
