Back for part II with Rivky Boyarsky!
As a wife and Mom of 5 beautiful children, Rivky wears many hats: nurse, midwife, kallah teacher, speaker and author. As a health care professional, she is well versed in both medicine and related halachic matters. He area of passion is where both these topics intersect.
She teaches these topics as it pertains to women's health and wellbeing, beginning as early as childhood. In episode 64, we delved into Part I of this series, where Rivky outlined the basics of raising our children in a healthy manner, allowing them to cultivate a healthy mindset of body image, modest dress and their ever evolving bodies.
In this episode, Rivky speaks about her role as a Kallah (bride) teacher and how she guides her brides as they embark on their journey of family purity. She describes the various questions she has dealt with over time, including - is consulting with a Rabbi embarassing? Why is a Rabbi involved in our intimate lives anyways?
Listen until the end to hear why Rivky entered the midwifery profession and why she coined the term: "fourth trimester". Rivky has created an incredible community for postpartum women, which now is growing past her own community!
