๐ Just 2 Days Can Make a Difference! ๐ง๐
In a large cohort of 13,547 older women (mean age 72), walking โฅ4,000 steps/day on even 1โ2 days/week was linked to a 26% lower mortality and 27% lower cardiovascular disease risk ๐ฅ. Those walking โฅ3 days/week had even greater benefits!
๐ Higher step thresholds (up to 7,000/day) showed further mortality reductionโbut step volume, not frequency, drove outcomes.
๐ง Message? There's no "perfect pattern"โeven weekend walks count.
๐ก Time to rethink activity guidelines and empower aging with steps.
