(00:00):
Welcome to Easy Style with Sami.I'm your host. Sami

(00:03):
Bedell-Mulhern, each episode, Iinvite a friend, family member,
colleague or just someone I'vemet on this journey called life,
to come and share their personalstyle and approach to business,
parenting, life and everythingin between. You'll hear
motivational and inspirationalstories that will help you
refine and build your ownpersonal style. Remember, style

(00:25):
is easy when it comes fromwithin.
I'm so excited that the EasyStyle with Sami podcast is back.
I've been talking about it for along time, but we're finally
back, and I'm so excited to behere every other week with you
sharing some incredible storiesfrom amazing people that I've
met along the way, and somepeople that I'm meeting for the
first time. I started the EasyStyle of Sami podcast for a lot

(00:50):
of reasons, and one of them wasbecause I was kind of in a rut
trying to figure out kind ofwhat my own style was.
So let me back up a little bit.I started my marketing business
back in 2017 and have reallyloved meeting amazing
businesses, organizations andpeople that are really trying to
do good in this world. And I'mso fortunate that now my work

(01:13):
allows me to support someincredible nonprofit
organizations and smallbusinesses as well. And a few
years ago, I decided to addcolor street into my world.
Color Street is beautiful nailstrips. They have a great makeup
line. They're adding some skincare things in as well. I really
just loved the product andwanted something fun for myself.

(01:34):
And I thought, hey, I know howto do marketing, so this should
be a breeze. I should be able tojump into this no problem, and
it was great, and it was fun.And I've really been enjoying
kind of the customer experienceand how to kind of love on my
customers and grow my business. However, what I really struggled
with was how to show up asmyself, because a mom, as a as a

(01:59):
wife, as a daughter, we tend tobe caregivers, and I found
myself giving so much to all ofthe people around me, my
clients, and I didn't reallyhave time for myself anymore.
And sometimes I still don't. Istill struggle with that, but
didn't really know how I wantedto show up what my personality
was. I created easy style withSammy as my color, street,

(02:20):
business name, but I stilldidn't know how to, like,
really, kind of be myself, because I didn't necessarily
know what that was. I'm still, don't, still working on it. But
as I kind of met a ton ofamazing people through the
direct sales world, people Iwould have never met otherwise.
I really was like, you know, there's something here.
There's something to theseconversations, to these people

(02:42):
that I've never met, and storiesthat they're sharing with me in
ways that they're helping megrow my business in all areas,
ways that people are helping mewith things in my personal life,
with my own style, whetherthat's professional, how I work,
how I stay organized, whetherthat's the clothes that I wear,
how I do my makeup, trying newrecipes and food, travel, ideas,

(03:04):
all of the things, the stylethat we each create for
ourselves is so impactful. Sothat's why I started this
podcast, so that we could sharesome of those stories to
hopefully inspire you to stepoutside of your shell a little
bit and say, You know what I'vebeen thinking, I've wanted to do
that. You should try that. MaybeI'll try that some tips for how
you can just live your best lifeand create your own style. I

(03:26):
always say style is easy when itcomes from within and when
you're true to yourself. And sothese episodes are not meant to
tell you to do thingsdifferently, but to inspire you
to think about the why withwhich you do things, how you
show up, what you choose to do,what you choose not to do, how
you're stepping into living yourbest life, whether it's career,

(03:47):
whether it's communication withyour family, whether it's diet,
exercise, however you want to bethe best version of yourself,
that's what I hope these shortepisodes will help you bring to
the table and inspire you to Dothe things you want to do. The
best part is I'm doing it rightalongside you. I don't have all
the answers. I haven't figuredout exactly what I want to do,

(04:09):
and I'm going to be an emptynester in six years, which
terrifies me to even thinkabout, but it's really pushing
me and my husband to really say,Okay, well, what do we want to
do when they're out of thehouse? Who do we want to be?
What do we want our life to looklike? And a lot of that is going
to be figuring out, what do Ilike to do in the quiet times in

(04:29):
the day? You know, what kind ofdate things do my husband and I
like to do? How do I want tospend time with my kids while
they're still home with us? Allof the things so I'm learning
right alongside you from theseincredible people that are on
the podcast, who are sharingtheir stories, being vulnerable
and taking you along theirjourney with them.
So I hope that you will enjoythese episodes that we have

(04:51):
coming out for easy style withSammy, you can listen to them
wherever you stream yourpodcast, or watch them live, not
live. Watch them on. And twowhich I'm really excited that we
can do that video versions andreally just engage and get to
know these folks. There's someincredible stories that I've
already recorded that I'mexcited to share with you, and I

(05:13):

you have somebody, or youyourself have a great story that
you'd love to share, orsomething that has really just
been a life changer for you, that you want to get out in the
