Rowena Curlewis co-found Denomination Design with Margaret Nolan, Creative Director, 20 years ago. The business now has a team spanning three continents, with one shared belief, that designing effective drinks brands required a holistic approach—capturing the tone of voice and personality at every available touchpoint is key.
Sustainability looms large on the agenda at Denomination, its sustainability team has developed a program called 'Futureproof' which aims to lead the sustainability conversation in the drinks industry.
Rowena's insight, passion and knowledge about the drinks industry means she is a regular contributor to drinks and design press, and has lectured and chaired panels in design, innovation and drinks packaging.
Denomination has amassed an extremly impressive awards collection—having won more than 250—most recently taking out Design Agency of the Year, 2022 Harpers Design Awards.
Their clients range from large global players to tiny startups. This scope and diversity means since 2002, they have completed more than 4,000 projects for over 350 clients in the wine, spirits, cider, beer and non-alcoholic drinks markets. Denomination time and time again create unique, beautiful drinks brands that resonate with consumers.
