Jess Musson is a trauma-informed facilitator, writer, and program strategist with a decade of lived and professional experience in the field of mental health, psychedelics, and community healing. Her work is grounded in personal inquiry, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to accessible, peer-to-peer tools for transformation. Jess has worked directly with vulnerable populations across New Orleans—supporting mental health and emotional literacy in underserved classroom settings, as well as contributing to prison reform initiatives. These environments shaped her understanding of what healing truly requires—presence, patience, and systems change.
As a Program Coordinator with the Indigenous Trauma Healing Institute, Jess has helped implement trauma-informed frameworks rooted in ancestral wisdom and practical care. Her current work explores the intersection of psychedelic-assisted therapy and digital self-guidance tools, including microdosing protocols, journaling systems, and epistemological reflection.
She shares this work through writing, education, and platforms like Instagram, with a focus on integrity, curiosity, and decolonial awareness. Her approach is not clinical but relational: informed by study, shaped by service, and alive through lived experience.
Join me this week for the Enquiry podcast with my guest Jess Musson as she shares her experience specialising in trauma informed therapies and her experience working with people in communities with native american people in Arizona and inmates at the local prison.
