Speaker 1 (00:00):
Week five and DFS Let's talk to the pros. Welcome
in everybody to Fantasy rus This is the DFS podcast.
It is week five already in the NFL, and of

(00:22):
course it's be Joey b Joe's a and kid me
through it. And our guest today is an awesome one.
He's from the Fantasy Footballers handles all their DFS content.
He's the one, the only Matthew Bets. Matthew, Welcome to
the program, my friend. After years of talking on Twitter
and admiring each other's work, it is nice to finally
actually sit down and do a whole show with you, buddy.

(00:43):
I know, man, I feel like it's been years in
the making, but right yeah, Joe, I appreciate you having
me on. We were joking before we started recording that,
like we were asking each other like, this is the
first time we've recorded a podcast together, because it just
feels like, you know, we've talked a lot on Twitter
and all those sort of things, have been following your
work for a while. So really excited to join you
today on the show. It seems like familiarity. They always

(01:04):
say breeds contempt, but I think it's just the opposite.
I think it breeds comfort. I'm very comfortable, and we
have a fantastic show. We're gonna break down the whole
late for you and kick all that stuff off. And
I want to remind everybody to make sure you head
over to Fantasypros dot com Slash Optimizer to save you
hours of research. The Optimizer Fantasy Pros lets you tweak
your lineups as much as you want, uses projections that

(01:26):
are constantly being updated by our experts, and of course
you can use your own custom projections as well, and
it supports FanDuel, DK and Yahoo contests. You can generate
up to one hundred and fifty lineups at one time
with our multi lineup generator, and of course this is
for cash games where GPP contests as well, and you
can even set exposure limits. And that's all over fantasypros
dot Com Slash Optimizer. Also, don't forget about the Sharp's

(01:48):
Report Podcast. The Sharp's Report Podcast is hosted by our
own map peralto you know from the Daily Juice Pod.
Every week he sits down as a conversation with professoral gamblers, bookmakers,
and sports gambling medium members to talk about massive growth
in the sports gambling industry. What's happening behind the scenes.
It's very cool. It's like this expose about wagering basically
with all the big great minds that are in the space.

(02:10):
And Matt Parult is the host. And you can find
the Sharp's Report today wherever you listen to your podcast,
So go check that out as well. Now, before Matt
and I dive in, we had an amazing thing happen.
This is so cool. One of our listeners here on
the podcast actually took down not only the million dollar
contest on DK, but almost another million dollars worth of
contest in the very same day. It happened on my birthday.

(02:31):
Not to me, no, no, but Matt Hakim, who we
got to sit down with and it was nice enough
to message me about the whole thing. Had a great
day of Daily Fantasy a couple weeks ago, like I said,
took it down with some of our advice here on
the show, built an amazing, shocky beautiful lineup that we
talked about all the time. Put one lineup in and
one more than a million dollars. So here is a

(02:54):
little sit down with the big winner from a few
weeks ago. Mattakeem all right, everybody, this is a great,
great thing that happened this past week or so. One
of our listeners, an avid DFS player friend of the show,
Matt Hakim, hit it big on DK He won not
only the million dollar contest there, so he's a millionaire,
but he won a whole bunch of other ones too,

(03:16):
almost a two million dollar air if that's even I
don't know, Maddie, but I am so happy to have
you on the show. I wanted to have you on,
invite you on for a little victory lap, but also
you were so kind to reach out and say, you know,
you're an avid listener of the show, and that was
part of the reason why you felt like you wanted
to give a little credit to us humble little people
here on the lower end. So Matt, first of all,

(03:38):
congratulations do you how does it feel to be so
much richer? Unbelievable? It feels amazing for some foremost, thank
you for having me on. I appreciate that spending the
time with me to talk a little bit about my story,
But it feels amazing. I'm not gonna lie. It's a
dream come true of and playing DFUS for four or
five years I've gotten close, not to the million, but

(03:59):
I've gotten close to six figures multiple occasions, multiple sports. Football.
I would say it's probably my expertise, but you know
the other sports. I'm baseball I'm huge on. But um,
the failure rate in baseball so tough on any game night,
it is. It's one of the things I tell people.

(04:19):
It's like, look, there's so many games which you really
gotta you gotta be in it every single day because
that's seventy percent failure rate just on the best hitters.
It'll just crush you any given night. But look, this
is this is a beautiful lineup here. This happened on
my birthday, no less, on September twenty six. It's a
beautiful thing here. I know I'm your good luck Maddie,

(04:39):
but this is a team that started with the Stafford
and Cooper cup pairing, which was fantastic. Had Higbee in
this lineup as well. Then a huge day from Mike Williams,
who's been absolutely brilliant. You had Alexander Madison. You took
the shot on him that week and he went off
for twenty six points. He had a good week from
a layer which also was a low roster percentage because
he had a couple of rough games there to start

(05:02):
the year. So you know, before the show started, Matt,
we were talking about when a lineup hits like this,
it's funny. You look at it and it's very chalky
for the most part. It's a lot of good plays there.
And I always tell people this that for stop being
so concerned with being different and start being a little
bit more concerned with being right. When you're looking at
this lineup, I mean, there's no like one weird guy,

(05:23):
Like I can't believe that happened. People were in on Madison,
people were you know, we're in that week on the
Cardinals defense as well because they were playing Jacksonville. This
was a lot of good plays that all lined up
at the right time. And look, it's it's you need
a little bit of luck in there too. But Matt,
you know, take me through the roster construction, your thought
process when you were going through this. Yeah, you know,

(05:43):
it's funny because I never liked taking any receiver on
the Bucks, and I think I would have faded that
game maybe if ab wasn't out, But I felt like
Godwin was the perfect play. You've got Ramsey on Evans.
I'm thinking Godwin's gonna be getting all the targets from
Brady and then, obviously being from Detroit, I'm a big

(06:04):
Stafford guy, so you know, I figured, hey, look I
need to shootout here. Stafford cup Higbee come back with
Godwin played out perfectly. UM. I was shocked in my
opinion about Clyde Edward Zilier only being twenty two percent.
I know he struggled the first few games, but forty
eight hundred he was the same price as UM. I
think Darnton Evans or the backup on Tennessee Titans McNichols.

(06:30):
He was the same price as Jeremy McNichols that week. Yeah,
and that's and that's one of those things we always
talk about the free square on the show. And you know,
the the responsible good play when a player's you know,
a high talent and underpriced, look into it, take a shot.
And I curiously too. You know, how many lineups did
you play in this particular contest. It's funny you ask

(06:54):
I only play one lineup every single week. I don't
play multiple lineups because I get confused. I get anxious
about you know, oh that this team's blown up but
this guy's out for the game, and this team's blown up,
this guy's if I had this guy on this team,
and I just I can't do it. It stresses me
out too much. Yeah, it's funny. I only play like
two to three at the most. Yeah, I'm very like,

(07:15):
I like what I like, and I feel like that's it,
and I agree with you, and then exactly becomes very
difficult to root and to hold on. Speaking of rooting,
I got to ask you what was it like as
it got down to the wire, Like did you have
a little cushion? Because oftentimes so you're when you get
to that fourth quarter, Because this I Tony before the
show we had. I think you're the fourth personnel of
my DFS shows over the years to hit this million dollars,

(07:37):
and every I always asked this, what's this like as
you're sitting there sweating it out in the fourth quarter
and it's going up and down by a point, by
two points, Like, what was that like? Yeah? So I'm
sure you can imagine four or five years of DFS
right and playing very consistently football, baseball, basketball. I've had
so many like down the stretch. Should have won one
hundred thousand, could have won seventy five thousand, like crazy,

(08:00):
like first place potential. And so I'm watching and I'm thinking, like,
the same thing is going to happen that it always happens.
The Rams game ends up being somewhat of a blowout, right,
so Stafford's not really throwing that much at the end,
was what was happening. Oh, Jefferson and DK Metcalf were
playing and they were going back and forth in that

(08:23):
Minnesota game. So I was watching that game hard, and
I'm watching Red Zone, but I'm also I'm streaming it
on Hulu because my Comcast isn't working, so I'm late.
I'm late on the TV, and I'm refreshing my phone
and I'm getting like all these updates like Jefferson twenty
two yard catch. I'm freaking out. I'm like, man, the
same thing's gonna happen. These guys are going to score
a garbage time touchdown and I'm gonna come in second

(08:45):
or third and whatever. That which would still been awesome,
don't get me wrong, But when your account says you're
winning one point three million, if it drops anywhere near
like one hundred thousand, You're like, man, I just lost
one point two million dollars. So that's why I'm thinking
in the back of my head like, man, this is
gonna be nuts. My heart was like like go beating
so fast and like it was, it was surreal. I'm

(09:05):
not gonna lie. I didn't even think I won until
the Miami game ended, Like I'm like, listen, I don't
know what can happen, like Miami, Miami defense could do something.
Somebody had Brissett like thirty points behind me. I was
freaking out. Was over time even there's no chance he's
gonna get it. But I'm just like freaking out all
the way until the end because I've had so many heartbreaks.
But then when the when the dust settled and the

(09:26):
games were over, it was hectic. I couldn't believe it.
I still can't believe it. Listen, man, finally the heartbreaks
turned around for you. It's a beautiful thing. I hope
you get yourself something nice. I hope you get me
something nice. Kidding I might, I might, Yeah, man, maybe
you would think after all these years, but man, I
could not be happier for you. And I appreciate the

(09:47):
even reached out because you know so many people like
you know, they'll listen to shows or they're like finding
certain things and they'll be like, and I, yeah, it's
great way because you, Honestly, I always say this like
I care about more. You're more about your fantasy teams
that mine. So you winning is like, seriously the next
best thing. And I'm proud of you. I'm happy for you,
I'm happy for your family, and I think you should

(10:09):
enjoy this. And I love the fact that you played
one lineup because that's that's the craziest thing. I want
to say. At least one, maybe even two people that
I've talked to them also hit this also, same thing,
they played one lineup. That was it. It's you know,
and sometimes once again, go with your gut, go with
the good chalk, go with the things that you think
are good. It's not about being different, it's about being right.

(10:32):
And matt you are right. So congratulations to you again,
and thank you so much for spending a little bit
of time with us today to talk about your tremendous victory.
And they know what, if you hit again, I'll have
you back on again whenever you want. I appreciate that
very much. Follow me on Twitter, Lord Mattie Ice DFS
and shout out to the Dirty Dozen, my Fantasy league
and my friends of family back home. Hey go shout

(10:53):
him out, baby Mattie. Congratulations and now back to the action.
Great stuff there for matt It just goes to show you, right,
you just need that one great lineup, don't you, Matthew,
Like you just gotta from one Matthew to another. We'll
bring back Matthew bets. Now, Matthew, It's crazy to me,
like people could go in there and of the four
winners I've known of that contest in the last few years,
three of them all one lineup that they put in.

(11:15):
Isn't that nuts? That is impressive? It is nuts. Yeah,
the Millie is just a beast to take down. So
you know, congratulations to that listener. That's awesome. I haven't
played the Millie honestly ever in my DFS career because
it's just, you know, the odds of actually winning are
just so low. But maybe, I mean maybe I just

(11:37):
got a tune into the Fantasy Pro show plugging a
lineup and print money that just seems to work. Look,
I think what it is is, you know something that
we just talked about with matt akim, which is getting
it right. Stop trying to be different, you know, just
get it right. I think so many people in these
contests were so much about trying to be different and
exposure levels and all this stuff instead of just worrying

(11:57):
about what's the best possible line up I could put
out there. It's funny for baseball this year quite a bit,
and the last few years actually, Chris Meet and I
started doing this where we would put really solid cash
game lineups into tournaments and do very well for ourselves
because the pitching would pull it up. And the same
kind of can be said to be true on the
NFL side. If you put really good, solid lineups out
there that kind of have a cash game appeal and
you throw them into tournament, sometimes they do better than

(12:19):
you think, simply because people overthink stuff, fade some of
the top stuff a little bit too much, and then
end up kind of outsmarting themselves instead of just putting
their best foot forward to trying and to outscore everybody,
because at the end of the day, that's all you're
trying to do. Yeah, no, for sure, And I think
that's one issue with DFS conversation is that people tend

(12:40):
to take a binary approach. It's like, this guy is
either a cash game player or he's either a GPP
play And the reality is, you know, chalky players are
chalk for a reason. They are strong, good plays. And
so the issue that we get a lot of our
listeners are sending us questions is like, hey, you know,
is this guy a good cashing play this week? Is
this got a good GPP play this week? And the
answer is usually like yeah, and here's why, because they

(13:01):
can be both and really, like people do I think
try to get so unique, so different playing you know,
four or five six guys at sub five percent roster
percentage in their GPP lineups And yeah, sure sometimes that works,
but a lot of the times it doesn't. So my
advice to people often is just finding a balanced approach
in lineups. And it's okay to play chalk plays because again,

(13:22):
they are the best plays on the sleep right. All right, Well,
let's get to the plays. Enough of all this non sense.
Let's get to winning this week. Hopefully you or I
take it down. I'm gonna get you back in that contest.
We'll see how it goes. Let's start with the running
back position, which has had a lot of injuries. It's
also a weird week considering, you know where guys are
right now on the schedule, who's playing on Sunday night
and Monday night and Thursday night. Guys were not on

(13:43):
the schedule, And like I said, a bunch of injuries
here really have changed the dynamic of this position. So
if you're looking for the cash game running back of
the week, where are you going there, Matt? Yeah, I'm
not sure how much advice is needed here. People know
Derrick Henry is just an absolute standout play on the
late here over the last three weeks, forty one thirty
five thirty one opportunities talking about rushing attempts plus targets.

(14:07):
Now he gets to Jacksonville Jaguars, and you know, just
people have this image in their head of Derrick Henry
on Thursday at football running rampant over top of the Jaguars,
And of course the Jaguars are now in the news
for all the wrong reasons thanks to their head coach.
Like I could just see Derrick Henry coming out this
week and going berserk. I think at cash games, I'm
willing to pay up for him for the safety that

(14:29):
he provides. He is expensive. He's nine k on DraftKings,
he's ten point four k on fandels, so you have
to pay up for him. It's a different conversation, I
think in tournaments, but if we're talking about cash with
that volume, he's just so safe, especially given that you know,
most years you talk about Derek Henry, you say, well,
he's not really seeing targets, so there's past to him
failing this year a ten percent target share. He's on

(14:49):
pace for you know, career highs and targets, receptions, yards,
all those things. So it is tough to see past
the Derrick Henry failing here in a matchup favored against
the Jaguars. I guess here's the question. Is the price right?
And what's intriguing about Henry to me, Matt is because
you don't see a lot of guys at the top
you feel really good about. But the investment is significant.
Last week we talked about how you make that investment

(15:11):
work in Henry in any fashion because he is so expensive.
So how in your mind do you make that work
this week with him being where he's at. Yeah, if
you're paying up for Derrick Henry, chances are you can't
pay up for a couple of the names that we'll
talk about at wide receiver, most notably who I love
this week, Devanta Adams. You obviously can't pay up for
Kyler in that scenario. He's the most expensive quarterback on
the slate, so you do have to find some mid

(15:31):
tier or lower tier volume plays at wide receiver and
then to fit him in. Really you're probably punting at
tight end. You know, you're not paying up for Dann Wall,
You're not getting George Kittle, who are obviously strong plays.
So it is a bit of an opportunity cost associated
with his salary. But again at the running back position,
I'm chasing ball human cash games. I think in tournaments
is he's certainly a viable fade just given that you know,

(15:54):
we've seen him against the Jaguars actually have these games
where he's like twenty rush attempts for like sixty yards
no score, and obviously at his salary that will bear you.
So it's an interesting conversation for GPPs, but for me,
I do think it's viable to go there in cash
if you want to get different elsewhere in your lineup.
Ten thousand, four hundred on Fandel, nine thousand on DK
for Henry. For me, I love the ROI of Ezekiel Elliott.

(16:15):
I know he's dealing with a little bit of a
knee issue this week, but this is a huge Indivision
game here. I think the Cowboys are gonna stomp a
mudhole and the Giants personally, and I just love the cost.
Ezekiel Elliot is eight K. I think that's very fair.
I've been one of these people in season long, going
into the year that was a little skeptical of Zeke.
I thought that Pollar would work a lot more. And
so far I've been, you know, pretty right about the ladder.

(16:36):
But at the same time, I think this is a
matchup here where Elliot could have easily had more touchdowns
already in the year that he's had, things have been
a little wacky there for him in that department. I
find it hard to believe he doesn't come away with
a score. He's just seven k over on DK, and
I understand also the fact that Pollard exists that, you know,
maybe that does trim a little bit of the significance
away from him. But this in particular is a very
big important game here, and I do like Ezekiel Elliot

(16:58):
in terms of investment. You mentioned Adams as wide receiver
you love. Is that your big cash game guy of
the week, because I certainly have in love with him too.
If it is, it absolutely is. Especially on Fandel, they're
pricing usually is a lot softer than draft Kings, and
anytime a player is priced the same on Fandel as
they are in draft Kings, they are a standout value.
And now DeVonta Adams at eight points two on Fandel,

(17:19):
to me, seems like a cash game lock this week.
I know he was popular last week, he kind of
let us down. Of course, he had a little bit
of a floor game for Davonta Adams, but you're talking
about a guy that's seeing over a thirty five percent
target share. Of course, Marque was about as scantling getting
air yards. He's on ir now, like who else is
getting the football from Aaron Rodgers and we know that
they designed place for him when they get close to
the goal line. So against the Bengals in a game

(17:40):
with a rising total of fifty one and a half points,
definitely interested in DeVonta Adams and cash games this week.
I'm so happy you mentioned the Fandel pricing because that's
exactly the thing I wanted to hit on, and that's
why I wanted to talk to you today because I
could not agree more. In fact, I even think he's
got some appeal in the GVP world because coming off
that down week the low price, people start to overthink
it a little bit, like we were talking about, they

(18:01):
get a little weird, Wow, you know what's going on
with Adams. I think this is a complete reset here
for Adams in this game here, and the Bengals defense
has played much better last year at the end of
the season and this year as well. They've refined the
secondary a little bit. Bates has played well, Bells played well.
But at the same time, it's Davanta Adams, and I
think we've been waiting for that big Davanta Adams game,
and I guess seeking supishon it could actually be this

(18:23):
one here. For me, I'm going right back to the well.
Last week's lock was Terry McLaurin. It's gonna go right
back there again. It's just the guy is just incredible.
He could do so much. HEINUK has done a really
good job. Hopefully everybody listened last week and played those
two guys and the salary didn't really go up really,
I mean talk about same price, right, Terry mclaurens seventy
four hundred on both sides this week. So it's a

(18:44):
great investment to me. You can get like a wide
receiver one there in him. It's seventy four hundred dollars
costs on both sides. It's terrific. He fights with the football,
he's got touchdown upside. He's got everything you possibly want.
Who's got everything you possibly want a quarterback when it
comes to the cash, big ticket guys this week. Yeah,
it just feels silly to come on here and tell
everyone to play the most expensive guys at every position.

(19:05):
But I want to provide. But that's not always the case, Matt.
In all fairness, that sometimes is not the case. It
depends on the slide, depends on how the schedule checks out.
But if that's the right call, then that's the right call. Yeah,
for sure. So obviously I said, if you're playing Derrick
Henry and you're playing about tennis, you can't play this player.
But if you want to get a different roster construction, certainly,
if you just want safety at the quarterback position. Again

(19:28):
on Fandel, like the pricing is just you can get
to Kyler Murray so much easier on Fandel. You can
do it on draftings just a little bit harder. You
have to make things work salary wise. But he's eight
point five on Fandel, he's eight k on draft Kings.
And Kyler Murray now gets the San Francisco forty nine ers,
who just two weeks ago we're trotting out Josh Norman
as a starting cornerback. I mean, they lost one of
their best guys in Jason Fred and week one to

(19:50):
Attorney acl they lost another guy at an injury Like,
there's injuries everywhere on that side of the ball. And
this offense has over four hundred yards in every game
so far the year. It's a nice total sitting around
fifty points. And there's not many negative things to say
really about Kyler Murray. And we know, of course, you
can pad the stat line with his legs as well.
So if you want safety at quarterback and you want

(20:10):
to pay up for me, it's Kyler Murray this week.
Do you run him out there naked or do you
run him out there with a specific pairing this week? Yeah,
it's an interesting conversation because normally. You know, last year especially,
it was like the Jondre Hopkins target share. It was
show that we're accustomed to. But this year Kyler seems
to be spreading the ball out more, which for real
life football is awesome and for DFS and fantasy is

(20:32):
not so great. So I'm not playing any of his
past catchers in cash games. I definitely think though, that
stacks are really intriguing with Kyler this week, especially Jondre Hopkins.
I think he's actually cheaper on vandel than he is
on DraftKings, which is a streaming value, so it feels
like you can only keep you know, Jhandre Hopkins quiet
for so long, and this game against the banged up

(20:52):
secondary with a high total, you know, certainly could be
one that he goes off. So I like him in tournaments,
but in cash games not as interested this week. All right,
good answer to that question for me, it's Dak Prescott.
I'm telling you, I just think the Cowboys going to
smash the Giants this week, I really do. I know,
the Giants has got their first win and everyone's really excited.
I think that excitement just dies in Dallas this week.
I really do. Can't spend too much time on this.

(21:14):
Dack's just been incredibly efficient with the football. There's there's
some guys that I think are better Rois this week.
But if I'm going to spend up for a quarterback
who I really like this week, I think Dak is
that guy. I also think that you get Ceedee Lamb
kind of showing up. We'll talk a little bit more
about him later on, but he's just getting There's so
many weapons, there's so much for him to just you know,
have fun with him play and just it's been so

(21:35):
good so far for cash game tight ends. This week
it's Darren Waller, who I know has been a little
up and down this season, but really, you know, with
Kelsey off the slate and Kelsey did not return his
investment last week. I know because I had him in
a few spots. But Darren Waller, I think is the
one to go to if you want to pay up.
But I really don't want to pay up this week
for Waller. I gotta tell you, Matt, to be honest

(21:57):
to you, I'm not crazy about paying up for Henry
because some of the running backs we're going to talk
about a little later in the show that I think
have good touchdown equity this week. But if you're going
to pay up at tight end, who's the name that
kind of pops to you? Yeah, this slate, like you
talked about, is so interesting at tight end because normally
we have a couple of guys who can hang our
hat on, most notably Travis Kelcey, but there's a lot
of other names on the slate too, like Tyler Higbee

(22:19):
playing on Thursday night on Sunday Night against Travis Kelsey.
Dawson Ox has been nice recently, Like he's not on
the slate on Monday night. There's no Mark Andrews, So
like we're grasping at straws here. So if you do
want to pay up for a guy who has a
high ceiling in cash games, and you can do it
in tournaments as well. I kind of like George Kittle
this week as a spot where we haven't really seen

(22:40):
a George Kittle game quite yet, but he's coming off
back to back games of nine and eleven targets and
if he's going to see that possible volume against the
Cardinals in a game that I could think turned into
a shootout, you know, the Cardinals are just pushing opposing
offenses to score on them. They have to to keep up.
So I am interested in George Kittle this week if
you want to go up to him. His price over
on fandel sixty five on Draft Kings five point six

(23:03):
K this week. Here's a question for you. When you
see the tight ends that you know are more of
note let's say quote unquote, and they're not available on
the slate, does that make you want to go down
a little bit on tight end and like go towards
that six K and under range, let's say on vandel
Or or on the DK side, you know, kind of
just look for the touchdown equity with a guy as
opposed to chasing the remaining guy who's at the top. Yeah, definitely.

(23:26):
If any your listeners know me by now, they know
I'm very comfortable just punting it off with some gross
names that tight end, like trying to find guys that
are like two point seven k on DraftKings just to
fit them in because Jones for math, Oh yeah, give
you all the dann Arnold this week. No, it's just
so tough to find safety. And I did a study

(23:48):
in the offseason looking at this, like should we even
be going into that four k range for our tight end,
and of course there's weeks where they're going to spike
in that sort of thing. But the issue is that,
you know, the scoring is so flat in that ring.
We talk about it in season long leaks too. It's
like you pay up for the league guys, or you
just wait and you just wait and you just wait
because they're all the same persons so as far as
their fantasy outlook and their production. If I'm going to get,

(24:11):
you know, seven points from a guy that's four and
a half thousand dollars, I might as well get six
points from a guy that's two point seven, right, So
that's kind of my approaching cash games. However, I'm with you.
I did play a ton of Travis Kelsey last week.
I thought it was a great spot for him. It was,
and I hardly ever pay up and it was not good. Yeah,
So so who knows at this point, But yeah, if
you are spending up this week, it's George Kittle for me.

(24:31):
But I do actually prefer in cash games this week
to go down to some value plays. What you'll talk
about here in a minute. Let's take a quick break
from the action to tell you, guys, about Pristine Auction.
That is the place to go for all the cool
swag this football season. Helmets, footballs, jerseys, you like baseballs,
you're like bats, You're like artwork, You're like cool stuff
that you want to bid on. Pristine Auction is the

(24:52):
place to go. Head over to christine Auction dot com. Again,
that's pri sdi nyauction dot com. And when you use
that promo code Fantasy Pros, you get a five dollar
credit on us. Just to sign up. It's free to
sign up and there's five dollars in your account. Just
on us and start bidding on all these amazing items
they have. We're giving away a Kyler Murray football that's autograph.

(25:13):
Guess what. That's where we got it, Pristine Auction. So
go to pristine auction dot com, get your bidding on
and get some cool stuff that you can put around
your house this upcoming football season. And now back to
the show. All right, well let's get right to him.
Let's get to the value plays. Let's start with your
value play running back of the week. Yeah, this kind
of pains me a little bit because I usually don't

(25:35):
say very nice things about Leonard Fournette. However, his price
on DraftKings is very, very intriguing. At five point two K,
he is cheap. Last week we saw him pretty much
dominate the playing time for the Bucks with Ronald Jones
kind of being in the doghouse once again. I mean
Tell's oldest time with Bruce Arians and then Gio Bernard.

(25:56):
He'll rush for one hundred and twenty this week, of course,
you know he will. Of course with Gio Bernard. He
missed last week with an mcl injury, so we need
to see if he's on the field. But if he's not,
I mean Leonard for Nette last week, eighty two percent
of the snaps, sixty nine percent of the running back
rush attempts, thirteen percent targets, share, twenty five opportunities. And
if you're going to get that against this Dolphins defense
who has just been atrocious against the running back position.

(26:18):
At five point two K on DraftKings, you can pair
him with one of the more expensive guys like we
talked about, if you want to go to Derrick Henry
or Zeke like you mentioned, he fits really nicely in
pricing this week. Yeah, I agree, And you know what,
I actually talked about him all the season long shows.
This week too. I Andrew Rickson and I were having
a long conversation on yesterday's podcast about you know, Fournett's
usage these last few weeks and how that's starting to emerge,
and also Tampa kind of finally realizing they have to

(26:40):
be a little less one dimensional. It's just what they
have to do offensively. I mean, I know they want
to throw the football, but still you gotta change it
up a little bit for some defensive you know, for
running back this week, There's two guys that pop to me.
One is James Robinson. Really good price on Robinson on
both sides, I think, very fair. I think he's got
a good touchdown equity. This Tennessee Titans defense is terrible.
And then Dave and Harris, who I think once again,

(27:02):
I think you could play in either cash or potentially
in GPP because after last week, where everybody knew it
was going to be just ugly and it was, you
can bounce back this week and people will fade away
from that because people, you know, they see a bad
week and they overreact when they look at that game
log of somebody. This should absolutely be a smash against
the Houston Texans. They should absolutely theoretically have a lead

(27:23):
in terms of game script, and they should be sitting
on that lead. So those two guys in particular, I
think really have a fair amount of appeal at wide
receiver value this week. Kind for the same reason I'm
going to Ceedee Lamb. We have a MARII Cooper is
not one hundred percent in this game. Lamb's been relatively quiet.
You've seen the price kind of come down. I am
not coming off the Ceedee Lamb bandwagon anytime soon. He's

(27:44):
a phenomenal player. I think this is a great opportunity,
a great matchup for him against the Giants. In terms
of the roy that he's got in this game, I
don't know why everybody wouldn't want to be excited to
play him. And in terms of cost, he's just sixty
nine hundred here on FanDuel and on DK's sixty two hundred.
I think he brings you ceiling. I think he brings

(28:05):
you floor, and I think people are little afraid because
the floor hasn't quite been there last week or so.
And you know what, that's fine. More Cede Lamb for me,
who is your wide receiver you're looking for this week?
In terms of a good ROI value play. Yeah, I
love that call with CD Lamb. I logged into the dock.
He was the name I was gonna put down and
you stole him. So that makes me feel good. Whenever
people come in there and say you stole my name,

(28:26):
I go good. Now I'm on the right track. So
there you go. Yeah. I love playing wide receivers that
go down in price from a down week the week
before he dropped, I think five hundred on draft Kings
from his previous week, and with you like Dalton Schultz,
over the last two weeks, he's seen like a thirty
two percent target share. I'm not sure that's going to
hold and so we could see the pendulum swing to
ceedee Lamb. I love the call there for sure. For me,

(28:47):
I'm gonna go with Keenan Allen this week. I like
him a lot on both sides, but specifically like full
PPR scoring on draft Kings where he's six point five
k He's seventy two hundred on Vandel forty four targets
from Justin Herbert through the four first four weeks of
the season. That volume With a player of the talent
of Keenan Allen, I will take any day of the week,
especially in that mid range at wide receiver. And you

(29:08):
look at the opposing wide receivers that have gone against
Cleveland this year. They're kind of been a checkl on
high defense, but they've allowed huge games to wide receivers.
We're talking like Justin Jefferson six for eighty four and
a touchdown, Tyree Kill eleven one ninety seven and one,
Brandon Cooks in week one, nine for seventy eight and one.
So I think Keenan all I can get it done
this week again and just follow the volume. I agree,

(29:28):
And we're going to talk more about the Chargers a
little later on. How about the quarterback position? When you're
talking about values, the same thing that you're talking about,
kind of go for the quarterback of the Chargers. Yeah,
might as well go with the stack, right Justin Herbert
Sue Keenan Allen, I like Herbert a lot sixty eight
hundred on draft Kings and seventy seven hundred over on
fan duel. The Browns have succeeded in matchups where they

(29:49):
can get after the quarterback. This Chargers offensive line, man,
they are just lights out right now, allowing a four
percent sack right, one of the best in the league,
and if you're throwing from a clean pocket, you know
Herbert's safe. I feel like over the last two games
seven touchdown passes, the Chargers are fourth in the league
and pass rate over expectations. So that's what they want
to do. And I'll trust Justin Herbert. I think he's

(30:10):
just he's shown so much growth over the last you know,
one and a half years of his career as a rookie.
I think a lot of the narrative was like he's
going to regress. We haven't seen any of that, and
I trust him. I think he's a good you know,
spend down option quote unquote in cash games. If you
want to go there, I'll take it a set further.
I think he's actually improved. And I was somebody who
was skeptical going in a little bit of Herburton how

(30:31):
good it was going to be. Could he live up
to the standard he set last year? But you're right,
the offensive line is playing well. This matchup, I think
is one that scares people on paper too, because Cleveland
defensively has a lot of big names and like you said,
little Jacklin high, but they put up some games, you know,
where they don't let justin fields up for air and
people go, oh my goodness, we're so afraid of this defense.
And I understand that. But with Baker Mayfield not being

(30:52):
healthy here, I wonder is Herbert become an intriguing low
roster play and tournaments potentially this week as well? Yeah?
I think so. And I think as well. You know,
in DFS, especially people that I'm playing for a while,
we're so ingrained to look at the Vegas totals and
just see, okay, who's fifty plus points this week projected
from Vegas. Let's play those games. This is kind of

(31:12):
sitting in that, you know, high forties range where I
could definitely see it get overlooked. So I love that
call for sure. If you know Herbert and Keenan Allen
even throw Mike Williams into the mix. If those guys
are going to be single digit rostered, I love them
in GPPs. All right, next one for me, and once
again a player that I don't have any season long
shares of. But you know what, that's the beauty of DFS.

(31:34):
It's Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts just keeps putting up points,
and you know what, it's not always pretty. I really
don't care the totals pretty. That's all I care about.
So he's getting in that mid twenty range pretty much consistently.
If you could do that at the costs he is,
it's a good ROI And the nice thing about Hurts
is you don't feel any necessity to necessarily tie him
to anyone too, because there's not one particular weapon that

(31:56):
really kind of stands out. The tight end situation, to me,
is a hot mess. I don't want to think to
do with it. The running back situation is worse, and
then you just look around. It's like, well, maybe it's
DeVante Smith, but you know a lot. It's all just
really Hurts by himself, which allows you to kind of
spread things out and kind of go after some of
the guys we already talked about that you really like
the DeVante Adams, the Keyan Allen's, the guys you think
have high upside but are very safe too. So that's

(32:17):
the thing I like most about Hurts is you don't
feel the necessity to necessarily hang onto them. It valued
tight end. This week, I'm gonna go with Hawkinson, who
is one of the more expensive ones, but again not
all the way up to the top of the list.
I think Hawkinson bounces back this week against Minnesota, really
good out of the gate, a little less last couple
of weeks. Once again, I think that's a perfect opportunity
to play a guy. So I think you're gonna get

(32:39):
the target volume. And that's all I'm playing here with Hawkinson.
It's just the target volume the match up here. I
know the wide receivers are starting to come on a
little bit in Detroit. That's great, But I think Hawkinson
is not gonna or should not be forgotten about in
this mix. How about for you here, Matt, when you're
talking about tight ends, who would you go to? Oh
this is gross. We talked about the tight ends that
are just on the slate that you feel comfortable with,

(33:01):
and the names stop at the top. You know, you
have to get a little bit uncomfortable if you're trying
to save money. I will go back to Evan Ingram
reluctantly this week. He was three K last week and
he was chalk and you know, really for cash games,
he was fine. I think he had like seven and
a half draftings points and that just sounds so low.
But again, when you're looking at spending down. You're not
asking these players to give you a lot of volume

(33:21):
and a lot of high you know, scoring outputs, because
the theory behind punting, tight end and cash game is
that you spend up on these elite running backs and
wide receivers which can get either and much more of
a reliable fashion. I'll say, but for Evan Ingram, really,
you know you talked about the Cowboys a lot already,
and we know that there's strong correlation. When one offense
goes off, usually the other offense has to keep up.

(33:42):
And I agree with you. I think the Cowboys at
home are going to succeed in this matchup, so I
want something coming back on the other side of the ball.
Evan Ingram, he's cheap and obviously being to monitor, you know,
Stilling Shepherd and Darius Slayton's health status. They missed last
week with the hamstring issues. If one of or both
those guys misses, certainly the target share projection playing time
for Evan Ingraham should go up. Now, if there's a

(34:02):
game sack of the week, I think that's got to
be the one. Like it's just it's historically, you know,
one that you know these teams are gonna both show
up for you know, Dallas is gonna probably be ahead,
and you know the Giants are gonna have to at
least push the football a little bit. So I think
evaningram is a great one. And yeah, sometimes these things
make you sick, Like you said, you know, sometimes it's
not something you want to do, but it's the right call.
And I think that makes for a good analyst, the

(34:23):
one that tells you I don't like myself for telling
you this, but it's the right thing to talk about.
Let's take a quick break from the action to tell
you about master works. Investing is a lot like building
a winning fantasy team. It requires a ton of research,
and it can be stressful as hell, and three times
out of one hundred, you'll find yourself a winner amongst
ninety seven losers. That's because only three percent of day
traders can actually turn a profit, and with every equity

(34:46):
research firm from Goldman to City slashing long term projections,
finding promising investments is harder than winning your league with
Zach Wilson at quarterback. Thankfully, for us, there's a top
performing alternative asset recommended by eighty six percent of the
world's most financial experts, one that billionaires have used to
grow their wealth for centuries. And I'll give you a hint.
It's not gold or real estate and has nothing to

(35:09):
do with crypto. It's contemporary art. Not many people know this,
but contemporary art pieces outperform SMP returns by one hundred
and seventy four percent from nineteen ninety five to two
thousand and twenty. However, if you can already afford to
spend tens of millions on masterpiece paintings, you're already pretty rich.
So what the hell are you worrying about money? Right?
Lucky for us, thanks to a recently new and acted law,

(35:30):
everyday investors like you and I can actually finally join
the league. Masterworks is the first company to let you
invest in multimillion dollar works of art by Banksy, Warhol
and more. And they've got more than two hundred thousand
members on a long wait list. But you can jump
to the front at Masterworks. Head over right now to
Masterworks dot io slash fantasy. That's Masterworks dot io slash fantasy,

(35:54):
and I'll see you there. See disclosures at Masterworks dot
io slash disclaimer. And now to the action. Let's talk
about some of the gambles on the GPP side. Damian Williams,
I think is a little bit of a gamble. I
think he's gonna be high rostered. I don't care. I
think it's the right call. I think it's a good
matchup for him. If you saw him last week, he
ran the football. Well, he's gonna get a fair amount

(36:14):
of the carries. You're gonna have to support the young
quarterback with the run game. I know Matt Naggie is frustrating,
to put it kindly, but at the same time, I
think Williams is a player, especially on the FanDuel side,
brings you some touchdown equity, and Kenneth Gainwell in on
the flip side on DKA as well. Look, Miles Sanders
is becoming every week, starting to build more like a
ghost the closer we get to Halloween, and Kenneth Gainwell

(36:38):
catching Football's Week one was terrific. Quiet couple of weeks,
Week four terrific again. I think he continues to grow,
and I think the cost on DK when you look
at him as well. Matt Gaine was one of these
guys you could throw in the flex and then do
a lot with and I think that's always what's so
appealing to me. At forty nine hundred's a pretty good roy.
Can he get you twelve to fifteen points? I think

(36:59):
he can, and then you can build off that. So
those are the two running backs and looking at in
terms of those cheaper plays. Again, I don't care about
the ross percentager Damie Williams. If it's good, it's a
good ROI period. Let's not overthink it. You've got an
interesting one here. You've got a gamble of a big
name and actually one of my favorite names. So I
want you to talk about who your gamble running back is. Yes,

(37:19):
I'm gonna gamble with Nick Chubb this week. There are
passed downside with Nick Chubb every week, and it's because
he's not involved in the passing game, and it's because
Cream Hunt is there. So for me, he's not in
the cash game conversation. But we have seen Nick Chubb
have huge, huge ceiling games. And of course when we're
talking about you know GPPs and tournaments and you know
these gambles, that's what we want. We want to want

(37:39):
to finish first. We don't care about finishing last or
or in the cash line. We want to finish first,
and Nick Chubb has huge upside in a game against
the Chargers, who are a run funnel defense. Brandon Staley's
you know, game plan is to take away the passing attack,
and with Baker Mayfield not playing one hundred percent right now,
the best chance that the Browns have to succeed on
offense is to hand the ball to Nick Chubb and

(38:00):
cream Hunt over and over and over again. The Chargers.
They are fourth in past defense DVLA. They are twenty
fifth in rush defense DEVA. They just lost certain linebacker
Kenneth Murray on IR, Justin Jones defensive tackle also on IR.
This feels like a Nick Chubb smash week to me.
I'm gonna play them in tournaments. I think they're gonna
have to rely heavily on them too, because clearly something's

(38:20):
not right. They were Baker Mayfield. But I think this
is great. It just goes to show you too, it's
not all about low cost guys. Sometimes it's the high
cost guys that can make a huge difference in the
tournament because people just shy away from them. And like
you're saying perfectly, you could not have said it any better.
You know, people shy away because they say, well, the
upsides limited. Well, guess what the last eight weeks of
the season last year, I think we saw the upside

(38:42):
of Nick Chubb and crem Hunt was still around and
it didn't matter, So let's not freak out here. Next
is the wide receivers, Laviska Chanalt and Darnel Mooney, the
two guys that I like a lot, good ROI both
I think are relatively cheap on both sites in terms
of what I think they're upside could be the fact
that Chark is out now I think bodes well for
the target share that lovis Gushenalkin again and Darnel Mooney

(39:05):
once again. There's a little dependent upon the groin issue.
Keep an eye on that as we head into Friday,
what he's doing in practice or not doing there. But
Mooney and Fields seem to, at least in the short term,
have a nice rapport together. So I think those two
guys are wide receivers I'm looking at, and they bring
a little bit of risk, But that's what GPPs about.
What about for you, Matt, when you look at the
wide receivers who you have your eye on this week?
In terms of the GPP world. Yeah, I think a

(39:27):
couple of names that could get overlooked this week are
Justin Jefferson and Adam Field. And I'm going to apair
these two together in the same conversation. Obviously, in season
long leagues and redraft leagues, you love these guys, but
in DFS they seem to get overlooked often, especially at
their price point. So Justin Jefferson he's expensive. He's seven
point seven on Draft Kings and he's eight k on FanDuel.
You know, people want to play a bunce. Adam's no

(39:48):
question about it, and he's kind of right at the
same price range, and why you would say, yeah, he'd
probably outscores Justin Jefferson most weeks. This matchup, you know,
against the Lions. The Vikings have to win this game.
They are one three, they have to win this game
at home in a dome. I like Justin Jefferson and
Adam Feeling and feeling just you know, whether it's his
age or people are more excited about Jefferson compared to

(40:10):
the feeling. He just never gets played in DFS, yet
at the same time, he and Kirk Cousins just score
touchdowns together. These two wide receivers are combining for forty
six percent of Kirk Cousins targets and seventy six percent
of Kirk Cousins end zone targets. If he's sawing touchdowns,
we know where the ball is going. So I really
like some biking stacks this week. Again, the matchup against

(40:31):
the Lions obviously is an easy one. So give me
justin Jefferson Adam feeling. I'm really the Jefferson. I think
it's that perfect thing too. If you want to pivot
a little bit off of you have like one Davante
Adams lineup, you can go down for one hundred bucks.
And I actually did that this morning. I was making
up some lines to do his stuff and that same thing.
It's like, well, I really like this defense. I don't
want to go this defense, but I love Adams. I
need one hundred bucks extra. Well, there's how you get it.

(40:52):
You go down to Jefferson and Matt just made a
fantastic case for them. Matt, how about at the tight end,
because actually, no, I'm sorry, let's do the quarterback first quarterbacks?
Who you got in GPP world this week? Yeah? Again,
this just sounds scary to say, but I'm gonna recommend
playing Daniel Jones oh Man, who quietly is playing some
of the best football of his career. Let's not, you know,
let's not, you know, get too excited about Daniel Jones.

(41:14):
Of course, we know that the floor is there, we
know the turnovers are an issue historically, but recently he's
been really good, quietly PFF's second highest graded pastor this year.
I mean, what is happening, Daniel Jones? If we're living
in the upside down? If that is, we must PFF
needs to go back to uh, back to the drawing
boarders of things, and that can't be right. I promise

(41:35):
it is. But here we are. M you talked about it.
This game stack we really really like. So it's interesting
because you can get creative. You know, you can play
Zeke and then you can play a Daniel Jones stack.
On the other side, you can play at Dak stack
with you know, some of the pass catchers on the Giants.
There's just so many ways to play this. So if
you want to play the opposite side of Dak Prescott,
who we talked about, when the Cowboys go off, the
Giants have to the Cowboys opponents are being forced to

(41:57):
throw at the second highest rate in football, and I'll
take Daniel Jones, who we know has rushing upside. He's
six thousand on DraftKings, seven point four over on Fandel.
Really a spot that we love clearly on the show
is this matchup between the Cowboys and the Giants. Yeah,
and Nick sposed, Look, if you want to do the
one lineup where you just go all in on this game,
that's fine. I'll do anything wrong with that. If it

(42:18):
puss out, it busts out. But I mean she's it
certainly looks pretty good on paper, like we're talking about.
For me in the quarterback position, I'm to stay with
the same guy. Well I did last week once again,
Taylor Heineke. And I know people will say, well, he's
playing New Orleans this week, that's a tougher defense. Yeah,
well so is Buffalo. And he put up twenty two
points against Buffalo. So I see no reason the way
he's using his legs. And he's got three touchdowns in

(42:38):
last each of the last two games, two touchdowns in
the one previous before that. Yeah, he stored a couple
of picks here. He was actually perfect last week. Did
not have an interception that one, and he's finished as
a Fantasy QB one. Yet at the same time, price
wise in DFS, he is not priced as such, and
I think that makes for a unique opportunity. People still
aren't believing. People look at the matchup, people look at
all these things and they kind of get off of it.

(43:00):
But you know what, Heinecki McLaurin again this week is
a really cost effective pairing that I think you can
build a lot of really good lineups around tight end.
For me, Matt was absolutely right. I don't know how
much longer this Dalton Schultz thing is going to last,
but you know what, in this particular week where we're
looking and searching for tight ends, I'm gonna try and
hope that it lasts at least three week. Wive like,

(43:20):
I want one more week of Dalton Schultz, and they're
making plays for him. They're designing plays for him to
get open and be the main target, which is also
something to me that's stunning when you're watching a cowboy.
He's like, I can't believe this is happening. It's something
that I thought they was going to be Blake Jarwin
this year and he would kind of come back and
take his job, but that hasn't been the case. Dalton
Schultz has really been that go to guy, and the

(43:42):
Giants historically always struggle with tight ends. That's always something
you can mark down. I love the guy you're going
to talk about because the tight end you're talking about
has been an absolute volume machine since Jacoby Brissette has
taken over at quarterback. Yeah, we're talking about Mike Kisiki
here in a matchup against the Bucks, and it's sounds
scary on paper, but when you look at the Bucks, obviously,

(44:02):
their secondary has been one of the worst in football
and they are now down their top three cornerbacks and
Antoine Winfield is in the concussion protocol one of their
best safety. So if he misses, I mean, we're talking
about four starters in the secondary down And Mike Kisiki
is not a tight end. He is a wide receiver.
He has played a total of nine snaps on the
season in the last scrimmage. He is a wide receiver.

(44:24):
So I will be using the wide receiver stats in
this matchup to talk about with Mike Kisiki because that's
who he is. You know, you talked about it dominating
the volume, dominating the targets with Jacobi Brissette and now
we have no Will Fuller. The team just traded Jachim Grant,
so we know where the ball is going with this offense.
In the passing game, you know, Jill and Waddle and
Devonza Parker are fine. But for me at his price

(44:44):
with Mike Kissicki forty two hundred on draft kings and
fifty six hundred one Fandel really makes for an intriguing
tournament play this week. I absolutely love him on the
DK side in the full PPR because he doesn't even
need the touchdown to bring you the return. To me,
DK is the place, especially with Kissicki, you want to
get into Schultze kind of favored more on the FanDuel
side because I think the touchdown upside is there a
little bit and the Dolphins offense is sketch to begin with,

(45:06):

(45:51):
Airmedcare Network membership is the protection no one should live without.
And now back to the action, Let's continue to talk
about defenses this week. I've circled Dallas Town, New England,
obviously against Houston and the Chargers. I think the Chargers
are an interesting play that I don't think people are on.
I was not thrilled last week with what I saw
out of the Cleveland Browns offense. You know, Jarvis Landry

(46:13):
has been hurt Baker Mayfields one hundred percent. I think
they're becoming They're in a tough spot here. I want
to say they're becoming one demensional. It just seems like
all of a sudden, something is a little off here
in Cleveland. And I gotta give the Chargers credit. You know,
you mentioned about the offensive line, but defensively, even though
they give up a lot of rushing yards, they're getting
to the quarterback. They are making some plays and Derwin
James return has been huge for this defensive backfield. But

(46:36):
what do you think about in terms of defenses this week?
Who do you have your eye on? Yeah, I love
that call with the Chargers for sure. The Browns very
quietly allowing Baker Mayfield to take a ton of pressure
the thirty first in the NFL and adjusted sack rate allowed.
So I love the call with the Chargers. I don't
think anyone's gonna play them, so yes, it could be
a huge boast a week. So I'm with you on that.
Also throughout the Raiders here twenty nine hundred on DraftKings,

(46:58):
and really the story is, we just want to be
picking on this Bears offensive line, and I love Justin Fields.
Won't get me wrong, but certainly you could say it
hasn't gone great so far this year. Maybe that's not
all his fault. It's not all his fault, but the
reality is the offensive line is terrible and the Raiders
have quietly been pretty good on defense. Actually, so I
will take the Raiders. They are cheap this week on draftings,

(47:20):
especially against the Bears offensive line. Well, they're finally tackling,
which is something the last two years they did not. Do.
You know, you would see a running back or tighten
somebody get out there in space in the middle, and
then you know, people would just be whipping. The effort
level was just not there, and defensively this year it
is and I think that's that's good. That's that means
the coaches are getting through the beats, a personnel is
getting better, all the above. All right, let's talk about

(47:40):
the favorite stack of the week. Here. We're just gonna
stay in this. I'm gonna say Dallas and Matt you're
gonna say the Giants, and then everyone's happy, right, Absolutely, Yeah,
we talked about it. Also, if you want any alice
on any player in this game, it has already been
talked about. Yeah, earlier in the show. I don't know
if we talked about Kenny Golladay, I think you know
that's he came off a good week. I think in

(48:03):
tournaments I would be I would not touch it with
a ten foot poll in cash. That's that's how I feel.
I think Ceedee Lamb is, like I said, very intriguing.
Zeke's very intriguing. I think those are the things I
think people might get try too cute there with Galla
Day and Pollard and pieces like that. Actually like your
little piece because tight End is such a train wreck
this week of Evan Ingram, because that's the perfect guy

(48:24):
you get have a touch shown and everybody rolls their
eyes and goes all that hows and help us. But
you know what in DFS, if you have him, not
only does he allow you to get all this game
that you want, but then get other pieces like Adams
or you know other Jefferson guys like that that we
also talked about. So how do you feel about Holliday? Yeah,
it's tough, you know, it's I'm not a huge Kenny
Gallady guy in general, but this game environment sets up

(48:46):
so well that I think I'll probably play a lineup
maybe one or two with him in there. Just kind
of sprinkled and see if he's the guy that gets
the touchdown. But yeah, I'm with you. I definitely want
to be aggressive in stacking in the Cowboys and then
picking one or two guys to bring it back with
on the other side, whether it's a Ingram Orkney Galladay
and of course i's Stilling Shepherd and Darius Slayton miss
then you know, there's not that you can say negativedays price.

(49:08):
That's the difference maker. You think this total gets over sixty?
I do. Oh, absolutely, the money's already coming out on
the over for sure, so I think you could definitely
get there. Yeah, I think we're gonna get to sixty
with this game easily. That's where we're gonna be. It's
gonna be it's gonna be fun. This is the one
for your popcorns. Be gonna get your popcorn ready. Let's
talk about our lock of the week, Matt, who is
your lock of the week. Yes, I'm gonna go with

(49:28):
Devanta Adams off of a down week. You know, anytime
you see a player with that level of skill and
talent and opportunity that he's seeing after a down week,
I want to bet on a bounce back, so I
will take Devanta Adams this week. He is locked into
my lineups, all right. I'm gonna go with Ezekiel Elliott.
I just like where things are going. Very rough first week,
but a really good showing against Caroline last week. Twenty

(49:50):
carries for one forty three. I don't care if he's
not catching the football. He should have more touchdowns and
he's got already, but he's already got four on the year.
I think this could be a multiple touchdown game for him.
I think you're going to see twenty carries again. I
think that's important for him in this game. And the
Cowboys make a statement here because I think the Cowboys
right now are clearly the best team in that division,
and that might be on both sides of the ball
if you can believe it. That defense is better and

(50:12):
Diggs playing out of his mind Parson has been terrific.
I like playing them in DFS as well, but that's
definitely the game you want exposure to. If it doesn't work,
it doesn't work. It's not because it was wrong. It
just because it didn't happen. Sometimes that's just the nature
of the beast. Unfortunately, let's do the fantasy fly around.
I'm gonna go and throw our good friend Matthew Bets
here every single game, ask him a question with it

(50:33):
and see what his take is. Let's start with the
Bears and the Raiders here in this one. Do you
have any love this week for playing justin fields in
this contest against the Raiders? Here? We know he's got
rushing equity, but at the same time he is a
rookie quarterback. I know you were talking about the Raiders
d but do you think you have any love for
fields in this one? This is the wrong guy to ask, honestly,

(50:56):
because I've played him in a couple of tournaments and
back to back weeks he has been so cheap and
he is buried in praising again this week, and there
is optimism after we saw a change in play calling
last week that it could work out so only to
me this week in the largest field tournaments while I
played justin fields, not in cash, not in those smaller
field GPPs. But I do think at some point we're

(51:16):
going to see a ceiling game, like you said, because
of the rushing, and I would rather be ahead of
the curve than play from behind and wait for it
to happen Cleveland at the Chargers. You mentioned about Keenan Allen.
Does the same thing go from Mike Williams, who's just
been a revelation this year. Yeah, definitely. These are two
guys that I think you can play in the same lineup.
You could play Williams instead of Keenan Allen who typically

(51:36):
Keenan tends to be higher and roster percentage, so it's
a great leverage play. Certainly, I'm interested in Mike Williams.
I didn't believe that this is going to happen. I
know the rhetoric was, well, he's going to play this
new role and you know he's gonna be the Michael
Thomas in this offense. It seems like it's actually happening.
So yes, I am in on Michael Thomas. All right, Michael,
Mike Williams. Sorry, it could be in on him too.
Don't play Michael Thomas this week. No, that's that's the

(51:59):
best advice you possibly give. You will absolutely be right
about that matter. Perfect. All Right, here's a game we
have not mentioned at all, Beautiful Denver at Pittsburgh. Really,
things have not gone well the Pittsburgh Steelers this year.
At the same time. I'm kind of interested a little
bit in the Pittsburgh defense this week with what back
and healthy depending on who's playing quarterback in this game.

(52:20):
Actually maybe regardless of was playing quarterback in this game,
I think walk and get a couple of sacks potentially
in this one. And on top of which, you know,
is there anything here love wise for Deante Johnson or
Noah Fant or any other pieces in this one. I
just this game is just feels gross, you know, yeah, total,
like Big Ben and the offense, you can't get excited

(52:41):
about it right now. So you know, Nagi is fine
because he's gonna catch passes, but his ceiling is so
capped that I'm not sure he's gonna find the end zone.
So there's not much like I think both defenses are
in play, like he talked about, if it's Drew Lock
under center, yes please, and then Big Ben, it's just
a statue behind a bad offensive line. So if you
want to play the Broncos, go for it. Detroit in Minnesota,
we haven't mentioned Dalvin Cook at all. I know he

(53:03):
was coming back from the injury last week another week
I want to say removed, But at the same time,
they're all practicing, they're all working really hard. Do you
think that Dalvin Cook is a risky play this week
at the cost he is? Yeah, it's so tough because
you look at the matchup. You say, okay, Dalvin Cook
against the Lions at home is eight point favorites, automatic
smash play. But the concern is the inkle, and we
saw him tweak it last week. He only played like

(53:24):
forty something percent of the snaps. He came out yesterday
on Wednesday and told Courtney Crownin and covers the team
that he's playing through pain, and that's part of the plan.
So I can't trust him in cash because of that issue.
But certainly if you want to just throw him in
a GPP lineup if he's active, I do think he
gets overlooked given the Q tag next to his name
on draftings of handle. All right, speaking of the tag,

(53:45):
let's talk about Higgins in this Cincinnati Green Bay game,
because if he is active, how does this kind of
how do you react to this? If he's playing, do
you still go right to Higgins because of the cost
right now? Because it's still very user friendly. He's just
five k over on DK gets a ton of the
target share. Do you want to go to Chase because
of it? Do you fade Tyler board? What do you
do with the Cincinnati wide receivers, especially Gyr Alexander being heard? Yeah,

(54:08):
that's the intriguing piece of this is JR. Alexander out
in a game that is getting bet up in terms
of the total. So if we think DeVonta Adams goes off,
certainly Aaron Rodgers could have a nice scheme. I want
exposure to one of these guys, and I will take
the higher A DOC guys in this game, you know,
so I will take the T Higgins the Jamar Chases
for sure. I don't have a strong lean on either,
but I agree with you T Higgins. I think he's

(54:28):
five K on drafting. It's just so cheap for a
guy that we've seen him be awesome. So I want
exposure to both those guys. That's that's the thing I can.
When I mentioned him right here, I was like, five
K for him is just a really good return considering
how many looks he gets. The question is is he
healthy enough to really be out there? I mean to me,
if a guy's gonna play, you can take the shot
on him. We learned that less than the hard way

(54:50):
of Christian McCaffrey last year. If you recall people and say, well,
I want to wait and see, you know how he
reacts and mean while you put up thirty points and
that was the last time we saw him, So you
kind of missed your opportunity. Mister Windows, sometimes with these
guys to take advantage of a situation where people are
on the wait and see approach, but you can actually
win some money off of it. Tampa hosting the Miami Dolphins.
Let's roll the dice with a wide receiver from the box.

(55:12):
I'm gonna roll it with a B fifty two hundred
for him. He should add a touchdown last week, but
the rain made that a difficult catch to haul in
sixty five hundred. I just keep going with the cheapest guy,
and typically it's ab. But how about for you. Do
you see this wide receiving corp differently? You're just running away. No,
I'm with you. I like Antonio Brown super cheap. You know,
we talked about it having those end zone targets last week.

(55:34):
The connection between him and Tom Brady, it's sort of weird,
like he was living with him last year. They love
each other. Man so yes, at that price, I will
go with Antonio Brown as well. And you know, Mike
Evans probably gonna see Zavin Howard in coverage of the
three Bucks pass catchers. So yes, give me a b
New England traveling to Houston. Would you pay up for
the Pat's defense in this game this week? Certainly on

(55:56):
Fandel it's viable because of their softer pricing on draftings,
I would not. But oh Man, Davis Mills, it's going
to be rough. Four interceptions last week, negative DraftKings points,
and now he catches Bill Belichick off of a loss.
Oh Man, Yeah, yes, worried me too. If you've got

(56:16):
to pay off for a defense, I think that's definitely
one too. I can't imagine the getting a lot of
points on the board there. But and today, despite the
fact that Gilmore is now gone, I mean, JC Jackson
has played really well. The rest of this defense is
you know, the secondaries played really well. Kyle Dugger has
played very well. So it's amazing how they just turn
things over. It's just crazy. Get getting her pro bowler
after pro bowler every single there. It's what they do.

(56:39):
They just they before your expiration date, they move on
new Orleans at Washington. We talked a little about the
Washington side of this game, and the other reason I
love McLaren so much too is without Logan Thomas on
the field too, that just even more emphasizes I think
how they're just gonna heavily target him. But on the
Saint side of things, I just want to get your
beat on the Saints of Fence as a whole right now.

(57:01):
Do you find them investable? I find them incredibly frustrating
at this point. It's really tough, you know, because we've
just been so accustomed to Alvin Kamara dominating targets and
they've just been so vanilla with their offense, like hiding
Jamis Winston the wide receivers, you know, might be the
worst depth chart in football, honestly, Like it's Alvin Kamara's

(57:22):
show and that's it. But if he's not seeing targets,
his floor is low. At the same time, we know
what he can do, so it is really intriguing for me.
I do think a little like Alvin Kamara Terry McLaurin,
mini stack is kind of intriguing because, like you said,
on the Washington side of the ball, it's gonna be
the Terry McLaurin show without Logan, Thomas Curtis, Samuel still
battling the groin injury. Yeah, like it makes a lot

(57:43):
of sense. So he's intriguing in GPPs, not going there
in cash. But I'm with you, man, it is just
so frustrating to watch these Saints play football. All Right.
We talked a lot about the Dallas with the Giants,
So I'll ask a question that of a player we
haven't talked about in this game. Say Quon Barkley seventy
three hundred on DK he is seventy eight hundred on FanDuel.
Things starting to progress as again, I don't know why

(58:05):
people didn't think that they would and when I was
freaking out or the first, you know, two games in
five days thing. But sa Quon starting to look a
little bit better. Does that a piece too that maybe
people should be putting in lineups this week? I certainly
think you can. I'm not super excited about sa Quon
this week as pretty big underdogs for the Giants, and

(58:25):
you know, certainly with sa Quon, you know the story
rights is he gonna have that huge play that wins
you a tournament, and if he does, great, But we
know that we've seen these games where he kind of
just gets running too the back of the offensive line,
and Dallas is playing great defense right now, so he
is totally fine in a tournament. I am not going
there personally, especially in cash Names Philadelphia, Carolina. I gotta

(58:47):
tell you him going right back, right back to it again,
Sam Darnold, DJ Moore. I did it last week, I've
been doing it most weeks. Gonna go right back to it.
It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I feel
really good about this, and that's it. I tried to
have some exposure Robbie Anderson last week. It did not work.
I will take the heat for that. I'll take the
gale here on the show, but I thought it was
a good opportunity. He did get eleven targets, but that's

(59:09):
a story for another program. Your thoughts here on this one.
Just continue to ride this Sam Darnold DJ Moore thing
until it just goes bust. You might as well. And
I'm an Eagles fan, I'll be the first to tell
you this secondary doesn't have anyone that can match up
with DJ Moore, So yes, please. I also went down
to Robbie Anderson rabbit hole last week. Thought it was
a great play. You were right. The process was good,

(59:31):
the results were not. That is unfortunate. That is the
fickle mistress that is DFS. But you were right. I
was right. It was wrong, but that's it. That's that's
what you do, and we can only put our best
foot forward. San fran and Arizona. Here's the big million
dollar question. Potentially, if Trey Lance indeed plays fifty seven
hundred over on DK, especially there he's sixty nine hundred

(59:52):
over a fando with fifty seven on DK, is that
a play that you go right to. I want to
say yes because of the price and because of what
we saw last week. But in cash it's just it's
too risky in my opinion. Tournaments only five, Yeah, fifty
seven hundred. On Draft Kings he put up twenty I
think it was twenty point four DKA points in one

(01:00:14):
half of football. So we know what this guy can
do if he does get the start. I will probably
have the same approach as I did with Justin Fields
a couple of weeks ago, is he may never be
cheaper than this week. So if you want some exposure,
it might be now as the time in tournaments to
just take a shot and see what happens. All right,
Tennessee at Jacksonville. I know the game. Everybody can't wait
to watch A J. Brown sixty nine hundred over on

(01:00:35):
FanDuel sixty five hundred on dKu. He has become a
forgotten man? Is that something we should pay attention to?
And should we have any shares of AJ Brown if
he's healthy in this game because somebody's got to catch
the football theoretically, and Jacksonville defensively is not good. Is
this a perfect opportunity, a perfect storm where people are
off A J. Brown and he could have a big
day or is it just maybe we're just fading away

(01:00:59):
from AJ Brown on this Tennessee team as a whole,
regarding everybody except maybe Derrick Henry. Yeah, that's the thing
is is if it does go through Derrick Henry, as
the projections are going to tell us it probably will,
then clearly the downside is there for both pass catchers
if they're active. And that's the other thing too, is
that you know this hamstring issue for AJ Brown I
think is going to limit him if he's active, So

(01:01:20):
it's tricky to go there. Again, there's no, really rules
and tournaments. If you want to play this guy, is
he's gonna come in what would you say? It? Probably
less than five percent if he's active. So if you
want to go there with a guy with that talent, fine,
but I'm not looking there this week for a J. Brown.
Matthew fantastic stuff, my friend. You could follow him obviously
on the Twitter machine and make sure you check out
